Pentecostal Pastor Says Winning ‘The Voice’ Was Validating, Humbling
Pastor Todd Tilghman of Mississippi took home The Voice victory this week after slaying his “I Can Only Imagine” performance.
“It’s really validating, but it’s also really humbling at the same time. It’s hard to explain,” said Tilghman, a father of eight.

Tilghman first stunned judges when all four chairs turned during his blind audition. Yet before he hit TV, he was known for his presence in the pulpit.
Country Living reported, “Since 2011, Todd has been the lead pastor of Cornerstone Church in his home town of Meridian, Mississippi, where he grew up. While Todd has sung in church in the past, he revealed on The Voice that he’s never really performed professionally before making his debut on the show.”
