Kid Rock Reveals Christian Album After Growing ‘Stronger’ in His Faith
Kid Rock is preparing to release a Christian-themed album after revealing that his faith has grown stronger and that he believes he was “called” to make the project.
The musician announced Aug. 19 that he has two new albums on the way, marking his first full-length projects since 2022. But the spiritual direction of the first record may surprise longtime fans.
According to the Detroit Free Press, in an article published by AOL, Kid Rock made the announcement while commemorating the 28th anniversary of his breakthrough 1998 album, Devil Without a Cause.
Nearly three decades after that record helped cement his reputation as a rebel, Kid Rock is talking about something very different: faith.
“It’s a crazy journey I’ve been on, this spiritual journey,” Kid Rock said. “I’ve grown a lot stronger in my faith.”

He went even further when describing why he made the forthcoming record, saying he “was called to record” it.
For an artist who has built much of his career around a defiant, anything-goes image, those words stand out. Kid Rock has not suggested that his personality has suddenly disappeared—and he made that point in his announcement using the same colorful language longtime fans have come to expect.
Yet something deeper seems to be taking place in his music.
Earlier in 2026, he performed his rendition of Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t” during Turning Point USA’s alternative Super Bowl halftime show. Kid Rock changed portions of the song to include references about Jesus and faith.
Only time will reveal where Kid Rock’s spiritual journey leads from here. But we have witnessed time and again that God can reach people in unexpected places and at unexpected moments.
And if Kid Rock’s own words are any indication, faith is no longer simply sitting on the sidelines of his career. It is beginning to make its way directly into the music.
