Jimmy Swaggart Health Update: Donnie Swaggart Shares Emotional Prayer Amid Hospitalization

Donnie Swaggart offered a deeply personal and emotional prayer during Sunday morning service at Family Worship Center, asking for continued prayer as his father, evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, remains hospitalized.

“I love you in spite of my father being in the hospital,” Donnie prayed before the congregation. “I love you in spite of the tears that I’ve shed. I love you in spite of the pressure I feel on my shoulder.”

His vulnerability gave the congregation a glimpse into the heavy emotional toll the family is bearing while standing firm in their faith. Donnie closed the service with a heartfelt appeal: “As we leave today I want you to continue to be in prayer for Dad, for Mother. As I said earlier, for her strength. To uphold her in this moment. Actually the entire family. We are believing God but also placed it into His hands. No questions. No complaints. As for God, His way is perfect.”

As previously reported by Charisma Media, Jimmy Swaggart, 90, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest on Father’s Day at his home in Baton Rouge. He was found unresponsive around 8 a.m., and family members administered CPR until emergency responders arrived and transported him to a nearby hospital.

Donnie Swaggart addressed the congregation during a special evening prayer service later that day, stating, “Without a miracle, his time will be short.” He added that while doctors had done all they could, the family “will give the Lord an opportunity to work.” Medical staff continue to monitor Jimmy Swaggart’s vital signs closely.
