Jimmy Swaggart Family Update: ‘We are facing the end’

Jimmy Swaggart’s family provided a heartfelt and emotional update on the televangelist during a Wednesday night service.

As the Christian Post reported, Swaggart’s son, Donnie, shared during the service that the family is currently “in the process of making some very difficult and hard decisions.”

Donnie Swaggart also mentioned that more family members are coming into town right now.

“We have called all of the family to come into town, the grandkids that haven’t been here, and Joanna and Cliff for a family meeting on Friday,” Donnie said, calling this heartbreaking medical situation “a tough time.”

As the Post noted, Donnie said that right now “we are facing the end,” and are in need of “a miracle from the Lord.”

“The family, we’re strong, and as I said, we will be having a meeting with the entire family,” he continued. “The next couple of days will be hard days with the things we have to discuss.”

As the Shreveport Times noted, ministry spokesperson Megan Kelly told reporters that Swaggart “is in the same condition” and that there had been “no change.”

“He is currently in ICU surrounded by his family. There’s still been no change. We are still in a holding pattern.”
