Earliest Known Hebrew Bible Could Sell for $50 Million

The oldest, most complete Hebrew Bible will soon be for sale for upward of $50 million.

The Codex Sassoon, named after its owner David Solomon Sassoon, will be hitting Sotheby’s Auction House in New York on May 16. Estimates for the Bible’s value range anywhere from $30 to $50 million. According to Sotheby’s, “Codex Sassoon could become the most valuable historical document ever sold at auction.”

This is a massive purchase by any standard, but even moreso significant when put in the context that it is the living God’s Word being estimated as the most valuable document in the world. This is far from a coincidence when considered in perspective of how treasured a relationship with Christ actually is.

“Arguably, the Hebrew Bible constitutes the most influential book in human history and the bedrock of Western civilization,” Sotheby’s website states.

Sotheby’s global head of books and manuscripts, Richard Austin, noted that the Sassoon Bible is “undeniably one of the most important and singular texts in human history.”

One of the special features of Codex Sassoon is that it holds all books of the Hebrew Bible while still predating the second oldest Hebrew Bible by almost a 100 years.

“The biblical text in book format marks a critical turning point in how we perceive the history of the divine Word across thousands of years and is a transformative witness to how the Hebrew Bible has influenced the pillars of civilization—art, culture, law, politics—for centuries,” Senior Judaica specialist Sharon Mintz said.

The Word of God is clearly alive and active, and His presence is still part of our world today—the evidence proves it. In 2021, Charisma News reported the finding of dozens of pieces of Dead Sea Scrolls. Earlier this year, the Pool of Siloam was also reported to be in the excavation process so that the public could visit it. The Bible stories that we have heard are coming to life in front of us as these documents and artifacts are being uncovered and brought to light for all to see.

Jesus promised in the New Testament that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away,” (Matt. 24:35). God’s Word is living, sharper than any double-edged sword, just Hebrews tells us. The fact that a biblical document such as Codex Sassoon still exists in a nearly-complete state is just one small piece of physical evidence of this that we can see in our world today.

Trans Lives Matter Group Floods Oklahoma Capitol Over Gender Reassignment Bills

Over a hundred Trans Lives Matter protesters flooded the Oklahoma State Capitol recently, reacting to Senate Bills 129 and 122, which would ban health care services and physicians from providing gender reassignment surgeries to anyone under the age of 26 and keep anyone under the age of 18 from seeking a gender reassignment procedure.

The Trans Lives Matter group was found in the capitol chanting “Trans lives matter,” and “This is our house,” as reported by Newsweek.

It was at this time that Governor Kevin Stitt spoke on Bill 122, stating, “As governor, I will never shy away from calling out right from wrong.”

Bill 129 is very clear about the potential legal ramifications that could come for those who are involved with gender reassignment surgeries, especially on minors.

“A physician or other healthcare professional found to have knowingly referred for or provided gender transition procedures to an individual under twenty-six (26) years of age shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony.” Bill 129 also reads: “Any referral for or provision of gender transition procedures to an individual under twenty-six (26) years of age is unprofessional conduct and shall, upon an adverse ruling by the appropriate licensing board, result in immediate revocation of the license or certificate of the physician or other healthcare professional.”

Conservative voice Charlie Kirk spoke out on Twitter about the event, writing: “So can radical protesters now occupy government buildings without being accused of an insurrection?”

This incident comes just over two years after the January 6 Capitol revolt where supporters of former president Donald Trump went into the Capitol to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s presidency after suspicious polling incidents across the nation during the election.

Now, many on the right are wondering if those who were part of this recent capitol storming will suffer similar consequences as those from the Jan. 6 insurrection received, or if democratic favoritism will support the Trans Lives Matter group because of their political affiliation.

Not The Bee tweeted: “Trans activists stormed the Oklahoma State Capitol yesterday, but for some reason you haven’t heard about it from the media.”

“Trans activists stormed the Oklahoma state capital to defend their right to castrate, sterilize and mutilate children. This is not only an insurrection but easily the most bizarre and disgusting one in history,” Matt Walsh shared.

Beyond the political debate about how the protestors should be held responsible for their actions, it’s important to remember that young children and teens are especially susceptible to the lies of the enemy telling them it’s ok to change from one gender to another. Instead, we need to be reminding them that they were already created in the image of God. He is not a God who makes mistakes, and so He did not make a mistake creating them either male or female. He not only formed them in their mother’s womb and knew them before the foundations of the earth (Eph. 1:4), but He has intended that every single person’s body would be a temple of the Holy Spirit. First Corinthians 6:19-20 (MEV) reads: “What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Instead of affirming a lie to young people that they will be happier in a desecrated form, we must share the truth about how much God loves them, and what He laid down for them. Just like the rest of us, those trapped in transgenderism are seeking truth, love and acceptance. It’s time to share the only love that can give any real purpose and meaning.

Survey: American Jews Fearful About Antisemitism Increase

A recent survey shows that more Jewish people in America are fearful of antisemitic treatment. Unfortunately, it’s a fear that is hitting Jews of all ages as antisemitic actions have become more

prevalent on college campuses.

The American Jewish Committee conducted a survey last fall, which highlighted that 41% of Americans Jews are more concerned about their place in society with four out of every five participants believing that antisemitism has worsened, as reported by the Associated Press.

One of the frightening elements of this survey is that the fear of antisemitism is not just a generalization, but something Jewish students are seeing more of on the campus. The American Jewish Committee interviewed Northwestern University student Lily Cohen to hear about her college experience as an American Jew.

“Something that I have noticed frequently over the past about two and a half years was this sense on campus…of Jewish students feeling a little bit concerned sometimes about sharing all of the parts of their Jewish identity specifically when it came to talking about Israel,” Cohen shared.

Cohen shared that while this started out as mostly via social media during the pandemic, it has changed into an on-campus situation that has kept many other Jewish students like herself quiet about their feelings toward Israel.

“This has looked like anti-Israel students on campus, adorning walls and different areas of campus with phrases like ‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,’ calling Israel an apartheid state, calling it a genocidal state, and equating Zionists of all forms—American Zionists, and Israelis in the IDF and the Israeli government—sort of as one,” Cohen shared.

Just as Cohen saw a blatant distrust of the Jewish people and their connection to Israel by her fellow classmates, AP noted that 25% of those who took the survey had personally been the target of antisemitic discussions, whether online or in-person.

The history of the Jewish people has been far from easy, and it doesn’t seem that modern times are going to change that. From 400 years of slavery, a whole generation who wandered in the desert before reaching the Promised Land, to the annihilation of 6 million Jews by Hitler, the challenges for the Jewish people have been extreme. But this has not changed the fact that God chose them to be His people, the people from which the Savior of the world emerged. God promised that Abraham’s descendants would be like the stars—too many to possibly count. God has also delivered the Jewish people out of many dangers and given them great victories. Let us remember that God has always had special plans and purposes for the Jewish people, and that has not changed regardless of any political strife occurring in our world.

Ireland’s New Holiday Places Goddess on Pedestal

While the whole world is only a few weeks away from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Ireland just kicked off their new holiday in honor of Brigid, who they consider to be a saint and a goddess.

Little was actually known or recorded about Brigid during her lifetime. What was known was mostly reported by a clergyman a couple hundred years after her death. She was purported to have been involved in the supernatural, including anything from healing the blind to aborting an unborn baby to changing a geographic landscape—signs of which seem to point more toward witchcraft than Christianity. The festival in honor of the goddess is usually known as Imbolc in Gaelic, but will be nationally recognized as St. Brigid’s Day.

It is now this mysterious entity that the Irish people are gearing up to celebrate as a new, “modern” kind of saint who is typically represented with fire. In fact, The Irish Post reported that Brigid is historically known for having powers revolving around healing, fire and poetry.

For many Irish people of the day, the person of Brigid is not only about the spiritual side of things, but about her strong female characteristics.

Reverend Philip McKinley spoke with the Associated Press, stating, “St. Brigid offers this whole new dynamic. She’s a very, very modern saint that speaks to the really cutting-edge issues of our day—gender equality, environmental issues, social care, poverty, peacemaking.”

Melanie Lynch of Herstory told AP: “I think Ireland is ready to celebrate our women and our goddess and our saint…You’re talking about a great role model for young girls.”

Unfortunately, Ireland is not the only Western nation that has bowed to worshipping gods and goddesses. Here in America, a golden statue was recently erected as a memorial to Ruth Bader Ginsberg for her work in support of abortion, as reported by Charisma News.

Nancy Pelosi even gave a nod to Brigid on Twitter writing: “Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Brigid: Ireland’s Patroness Saint and a great leader. Born in the 5th Century, St. Brigid was a woman ahead of her time: establishing schools and churches—and encouraging women to lead.”

Having good role models is part of life, but when those role models become idols, gods and goddesses, they no longer serve their purpose. Exodus 20:3 (MEV) is clear when it says “You shall have no other gods before Me.” The Lord was not giving a suggestion; He was giving a commandment. In fact, when we bow down to other idols there are consequences. Exodus 20:5-6 (MEV) reads: “You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them who hate Me, and showing lovingkindness to thousands of them who love Me and keep My commandments.”

When we choose to worship other things—or people—we are living outside of God’s will for Him to commune and have an intimate relationship with us. But when we choose to follow Him, to make Him our one and only God, we can experience His grace, mercy and favor upon our lives.

The Asbury Revival Is Not Gone, It’s Spreading

Evangelist and founder of Pulse ministries Nick Hall loved what he saw and experienced with the Spirit of the Lord at Asbury University.

But he wants more and knows the Lord wants more from His people as well.

Talking with Charisma News in an exclusive interview, Hall shared what has been happening across the country as the Asbury Revival enters its next phase.

“God is moving. It’s not over. It’s just starting,” Hall shared. “I only left Asbury because I felt like I had to bring it home.”

Like Hall, many who visited Asbury felt rejuvenated and renewed by the Holy Spirit and understood the urgency that this outpouring is not meant to die—it is meant to spread.

“Literally that day we changed our plans for an event in downtown Minneapolis,” Hall says. “I’m calling my charismatic friends asking them to mentor me now, help me understand all the miracles I’m seeing…because the Holy Spirit is just so on the move.”

In obedience to the Lord, Hall knew that the fire must go on and put faith with action in holding an impromptu event right there in downtown Minneapolis.

“We had 600 people show up, and they ended up going for 53 hours in downtown Minneapolis,” Hall recalled. “Repentance, healing…literal addictions being broken, marriages being healed.

“I’m just seeing this breakout everywhere,” he continued. “You can’t end revival, revival isn’t owned by anyone, and it didn’t start by anyone. It’s a move of God, and if anything, on Thursday night, there was a release of what God had started and it had already spread.”

Some of the harshest critics of the outpouring came from those trying to compartmentalize the Lord and how revivals take place. Saying “x, y and z” have to happen in order for revival to occur, many tried to approach the dwelling of the Holy Spirit from a logical standpoint.

Yet God’s ways are much higher that our own.

“We’re living in a moment now that doesn’t make any sense,” Hall says. “If you try to make sense of it, you’re just gonna miss it. Because it’s God. It’s His Spirit. It’s just kindness, it’s His mercy. But none of those things are disconnected.”

Jesus says in Matthew 18:3-5, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one such little child in My name receives Me.”

This mindset has held so many back from experiencing the amazing outpouring of God’s love. To just let God take over and bask in His presence and glory. To approach Him as a child and put complete faith in Him and His ways while repenting for falling away from His precepts.

Pray that more Christians will emulate the heart of a child by letting go and letting God work. {eoa}

First After School Satan Club Meeting at Virginia Primary School Sparks Threatening Emails

A primary school in Chesapeake, Virginia, allowed the local satanic temple to proceed with after school activities for the After School Satan Club following pushback from parents. Now, the school is dealing with two email threats made against it for allowing the club to commence.

B.M. Williams Primary School went forward with the club after it was put on pause in December 2022 and January 2023. Previously, the After School Satan Club (ASSC) was supposed to give a security fee for any issues that may come as a direct effect of the club’s presence at the school, however, this requirement was thrown out in order to treat it the same as the Christian after school club, the Good News Club.

The director of the Satanic Temple’s After School Club, June Everett, said that she hoped the meeting would be, “…a joyful, enriching experience for the children.”

While it is the goal for those involved with the Satanic After School Clubs to see this as a religious freedom that should be allowed as any other religious organizational gathering, parents and members of the community are truly afraid of the spiritual consequences that could come from allowing a group like this into their children’s lives. The Satanic group, however, tried to convince families that they aren’t converting children and that Satan is just ‘imaginary.’

Volunteer Rose Bastet said, “I understand the apprehension behind the satanic name, but he is just an imaginary figure that we look to because he is the eternal rebel that fought for justice and humanity.”

The club was promised that they would be allowed to have additional meetings that would make up for the last two months when they were supposed to originally start.

As of late February, the club’s controversy continues as the school received a bomb threat. The school, a Chesapeake school board member, the club’s organizer and the Chesapeake Public Schools superintendent were mentioned in the email threat.

The email read: “You are evil, there is no other way to put it. You promote devil worship and unIslamic values.”

As a result of this threat, the school made the decision to release students early for their safety. However, a second email was received the following day, which appeared to come from a different email address.

It’s almost unfathomable that we live in a day and age when people would argue that Satan is a fairy tale who represents good. It’s also unimaginable that someone would believe threatening a school and individuals would be the proper course of action to stop darkness.

The truth is, there really is a spiritual battle taking place all around us. That’s why the apostle Paul admonished us to put on our spiritual armor every day. Both the After School Satan Club and the emails insinuating bomb threats are disturbing pieces of news as they capitalize on the destructive nature of the enemy and his hate toward God’s children.

We must ask: if the purpose of the Satanic club isn’t to convert children, then what is the purpose? If that isn’t the point of the club, then why did it pop up as a response to a Christian after school club? And why would something as evil as bomb threats occur only after Satan was given access to the school?

At the end of the day each one of us will have to give an account to God for your every action. He will either say “Well done, good and faithful servant,” or “I never knew you. Depart from me.” Playing with fire—with Satanic fire—will have serious consequences. If we are to pray for our enemies, why not also pray for those who are being used by the enemy, both parties from the Satanic temple and those sending the threats, that they may escape the snare of hell by their eyes being opened to the truth? There is no one that God cannot turn around. Those who are used by the enemy greatly against God can be transformed into the greatest weapons for God. And above all, let’s pray for the protection of the children who do not know what is happening around them and why their world has been turned inside-out. God has plans and purposes for each of them, and it is not His desire for any to be led astray.

New ‘Equal Rights Amendment’ Threatens Religious Liberties

The move to “update” works of art, cinema and literature for “modern audiences” has run American culture off the crazy cliff and into the sea of absurd wokeness.

This radical shift to promote far-leftist messages has had the biggest impact on the world by using politics to further taint the already corrupt pools of government.

Now, religious leaders in the United States are warning about the further erosion of religious liberty in the country founded on that very principle. All in the name of supposed “equality.”

Waging war against semantics has caused many across the globe to be deceived by the utilization of words that mean good things, yet those who use these words have far worse intentions than what the words describe.

As reported by Fox News, “The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) published a letter this week warning Senate members against supporting the revival of the Equal Rights Amendment.

“The Catholic prelates voiced serious concern Monday regarding a motion in the Senate that would remove the decades-passed deadline for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)—a proposed amendment to the constitution that would guarantee ‘equal rights under the law’ to all Americans regardless of sex.

“We are writing to you to express our alarm with a number of far-reaching consequences that will arise from the proposed Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and its negative impacts to the common good and to religious freedom,” the USCCB wrote. “We strongly urge you to oppose it and any resolution attempting to declare it ratified.”

This fear of the ERA being revived isn’t to keep anyone from receiving fair and equal treatment, which is already enshrined under U.S. law, but to keep radicals from using this amendment to continue to keep the grotesque practice of abortion legal and federally funded.

The resolution to revisit the ratification of the ERA was brought forward by “Squad” member Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland.

“For far too long, women and LGBTQ+ folks have been relegated to second-class legal status by the courts and in law, and it is long past time we do something about it,” said Pressley. “Constitutional equality is powerful, and with women and the states having done their part to ratify the ERA, Congress must swiftly follow suit.”

For radical leftists like Pressley, women will never be considered equal under the law without fully funded and readily available abortion on demand.

Not to mention the inclusion of radical transgender ideologies being protected by the Constitution should this amendment pass, leading to even more depravity such as drag shows for children, the mutilation of America’s youth and forced acceptance of these practices by religious organizations.

During the 1970s, conservative litigator and activist Phyllis Schlafly led the STOP ERA campaign.

Her reasons?

Ratifying the ERA would lead to gender-neutral bathrooms, same-sex marriage and women in military combat, among other things.

Oh, how right Phyllis was.

The left is working to eradicate the God-designed roles of gender by spreading the false narrative that anybody can be anything they want, regardless of reality and the natural conditions of biology and genetic makeup.

Now with the victory of Roe v. Wade leading to individual state battles to limit abortions or make them illegal, political purveyors of death are looking for new means to gain abortion access and funding.

Enter the ERA, cloaked in the guise of equality.

“One consequence of the ERA would be the likely requirement of federal funding for abortions. At least two states have construed their own equal rights amendments, with language analogous to that of the federal ERA, to require government funding of abortion,” the USCCB wrote.

“Both supporters and opponents of abortion believe that the federal ERA would have this effect, as well as restrain the ability of federal and state governments to enact other measures regulating abortion, such as third-trimester or partial birth abortion bans, parental consent, informed consent, conscience-related exemptions and other provisions.

“While in the early years of the ERA debate some considered these abortion threats to be remote or ‘scare tactics,’ abortion advocates in recent years have freely admitted that they intend to use the ERA to litigate such abortion claims and anticipate that such cases would be successful,” the bishops continued.

So, the next battlefield after Roe v. Wade has been established. The fight to end child sacrifice in America is not over, and Christians must continue to make a stand for those who cannot fight for themselves. {eoa}

Mayhem in Tel Aviv: Israelis Protesting Judicial Overhaul Clash with Police

Israel Police used stun grenades on Wednesday to disperse a group of protesters who blocked the main Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, and then reopened the road to travel.

In a statement, protest organizers criticized the Israeli police for using forceful methods to try scatter to the protesters.

“The commissioner should fire those responsible for the failure today,” the statement read. “Throwing grenades and trampling protesters for democracy with horses is crossing the black line. Shame on the State of Israel.”

Protesters gathered nationwide as Israel’s legislative committee came together to vote on a second phase of judicial reforms, including the so-called override clause that grants a parliamentary majority the ability to overrule judgments by Israel’s High Court of Justice.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir ordered the opening of all major roads that had been closed.

“The blocking of central roads must not be allowed, and all of the anarchists’ blockades must be opened,” he said. “I am in favor of democratic protest, but we will not allow civil riots and we will not allow anarchists to block major roads.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded by saying, “The only anarchy is that of the most insane government in Israel’s history.”

Across the country, roads were blocked and protesters attempted to disrupt train travel at the Tel Aviv HaHagana Station.

Pastor Pays High Price for Sharing the Gospel

When the Word of God is spoken among the lost, people’s souls recognize the truth held within it as their hearts hear the words of their Creator.

So, when a pastor was invited to a theological debate and began teaching on the uniqueness of Christ and His victory on the cross, salvations shortly followed.

Sources claim that during the debate, Pastor Arthur Asadi Babi, 42, led 37 people to the Lord, many being of Muslim faith in Mbale, Uganda.

Babi was then assaulted for the conversions that led to a neck injury, a broken leg, fractures in his hand and other injuries, according to Bishop Michael Okia of Living Stream Church of Christ.

“We received an invitation letter from the sheikh of Nakaloke mosque, who organized the debate in Nakaloke ward in Mbale city,” Okia said in an interview with Morning Star News. “I decided to send Pastor Babi to debate with the Muslims because of his scholarship skills in the Quran and the Bible.”

As reported by Morning Star News, “Pastor Babi and a team of Christians began participating in the second week of the two-week debate, on Feb. 9, and on the second day he presented a defense of Christianity using the Quran with responses from the Bible on the uniqueness of Christ as the Son of God and the only way to God the Father, the bishop said.”

“On Feb. 10, at the end of his defense, the pastor made an appeal for a response from the audience to believe in Christ,” Okia said. “Surprisingly, 29 adults and eight children gave their lives to Christ Jesus, all Muslims.”

With conversion to another faith being strictly against the teachings of Islam, many within the crowd took exception to what they viewed as heresy and attacked Babi.

Eyewitnesses report that even some of the recent converts joined in on the beating.

“From nowhere, Muslims started throwing stones, and then with sticks and clubs attacked me by beating me, including the new Muslim converts who had embraced the Christian faith,” Pastor Babi recalled. “I was hit on my right hand and left leg while some tried to strangle me. One Muslim kicked me and injured my private parts, which is still in pain to date.”

The beating was so severe that Babi was sent for medical treatment at Grace Medical Center in Mbale.

These assaults have become more common against Christians within Uganda.

Per Morning Star News, “Uganda’s constitution and other laws provide for religious freedom, including the right to propagate one’s faith and convert from one faith to another. Muslims make up no more than 12% of Uganda’s population, with high concentrations in eastern areas of the country.”

As persecution like this continues worldwide, believers can take heart that the temporary suffering here on earth pales in comparison to the glory that will one day await them in heaven. {eoa}
