Here’s to the Women Who Walk With Me

Ahead of International Women’s Day, I was asked which women inspire the work I do at the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. And believe me, it is an honor and a privilege to be in the position—as President and CEO of a large international aid organization, as a wife, as a mother—of being asked to be a voice for women today.

So I started thinking about what women inspire me. So many world leaders who I’ve been blessed to meet. The biblical Queen Esther, who we just celebrated over Purim. Someone even suggested an inspirational Eleanor Roosevelt quote, like what you’d see on a refrigerator magnet. And these women do inspire me—all of the women who’ve come before me, who’ve done great things and made great progress and made our world what it is today.

But when I really thought about it, the women who inspire me—who inspire me today, in the present—have always been the women around me.

Raised in a family of three girls—by a rabbi who empowered his daughters—I was always inspired by my sisters and our mother. And now, leading the organization my father, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, of blessed memory, founded 40 years ago, I am inspired each day by the women I’m blessed to work with, and by the women we work for.

I’ve needed their inspiration along the way. When my father unexpectedly passed away, leaving me to lead this ministry he’d devoted his life to, not many people thought I would succeed. People didn’t think a young woman would be able to lead this large, international organization that had taken decades to grow into what it is—the world’s largest and most effective ministry providing Christians with opportunities to fulfill biblical prophecy by supporting Israel and the Jewish people with lifesaving aid.

Then God sent wise women my way to inspire me—brilliant, strong and humble women. From The Fellowship’s headquarters in Chicago, to our offices in Canada and South Korea, to here in Israel where many of our programs take place, each member of our global leadership happens to be a woman. Each of these women are not only responsible for The Fellowship’s substantial growth over the last few years, they are responsible for inspiring me to continue doing our work each day, to continue growing, to continue reaching more of God’s people.

Equally as inspiring to me are the women who The Fellowship meets as we carry on our ministry of helping the neediest of these people.

Natalia inspires me. Natalia is a Jewish wife and mother from the Ukrainian city of Mariupol whose husband was killed during the ongoing war in Ukraine, killed by shrapnel on his way to find rescue for his family at the local synagogue. Since Sergei’s death, Natalia alone has cared for their young daughter in the middle of a war zone. The two survived more bombings, survived days trapped in a basement with nothing to eat or drink. But, thanks to Natalia’s perseverance—and God’s protection and providence—the two survived to take a Fellowship aliyah flight to their new home in Israel. Natalia inspires me—if women like her can show such strength, then surely I can too, as a leader, as a wife, as a mother.

I’m also inspired by Evgenia, an elderly Jewish woman who The Fellowship also recently helped in Ukraine. A year ago, at the beginning of the war, Evgenia also found herself on the frontlines, along with her 94-year-old mother, a Holocaust survivor. As the bombs fell, the two elderly women fled the fighting to find safety. I cried when I learned that the journey proved to be too much for Evgenia’s mother. But I was inspired by the fact that Evgenia is a survivor, too. Thanks to help from The Fellowship, this woman who can no longer see because of cataracts, can at last see hope, with a warm place to live and people who love her, none of which would have been possible without her own extraordinary resolve. Evgenia inspires me—if women like her can show such strength, then surely I can, too.

As I reflect on this International Women’s Day, I am inspired by the stories of women in the Bible, by the successes of women throughout history, by the words of the women who have come before me. But it’s the women around me—the inspiring women who help me in providing lifesaving aid to God’s people around the world each and every day, and the inspiring women we meet as we carry out God’s holy work—who truly inspire me. So let us find inspiration in, and be inspiration for, the women around us. {eoa}

5 Signs that Might Show a Shift in American Culture

Christians can no longer deny that Satan is doing everything he can to reshape American society with a value system reflective of himself.

In some areas he is succeeding with hardly any fight being put up.

Yet in recent days, there have been some signs of life in the fight against extremism and “woke” ideologies.

Recently, Fox News contributor and writer Liz Peek highlighted five significant events that show people are getting fed up with the lunacy taking over the culture.

  • Joe Biden shocked Leftists by declaring he will veto Washington, D.C.’s new soft-on-crime bill, leaving 173 House Democrats who voted for it twisting in the wind.

After overruling the mayor of Washington D.C.’s veto of the controversial bill that would lower penalties for crimes such as carjacking’s, the city council pressed forward with its wildly unpopular bill.

Yet in a surprising turn of events, and credit to where it’s due, President Joe Biden stated he would veto this bill should it reach his desk in its current form.

While the city council has since withdrawn the bill in the wake of backlash and lack of support for it, the lawlessness rising in America has become a front and center issue for many voters.

Not to mention, Jesus delivered humanity from lawlessness on the cross (Titus 2:14), so any place that is enduring an increase in such activity is engaged in a spiritual battle as well.

  • Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot gets unceremoniously dumped by voters and a pro-cop Democrat leads the initial round of voting.

Piggybacking off Americans rejection of the D.C. soft on crime bill, Lightfoot became the first Chicago mayor to lose a reelection bid since 1983.

This is a huge rejection of the anti-law attitude that has plagued major cities in the U.S. for several years now.

Throw in Lightfoot’s aggressive, anti-Christian viewpoints and pro-LGBTQ stance, and this is a thorough rejection of the woke mind virus that is transforming once beautiful cities like San Francisco into cesspools that are seeing its residents flee to less crime-ridden destinations.

  • Puffin Books faces outrage by vowing to make Roald Dahl’s iconic books woke, and quickly announces it will continue to publish the originals.

People are starting to realize that the book “1984” may no longer be just a piece of literature, but a glimpse into the future.

Outraged ensued when Puffin Books announced changes to the writings of English author Roald Dahl, all to be more “inclusive” to a “modern audience.”

Essentially re-writing children’s classics like “Matilda,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “James and the Giant Peach,” fans of Dahl ignited a firestorm on social media calling on the publisher to retract these proposed changes.

Whether they try to change the literature again in the future remains to be seen, but for now, children will still be able to read books not injected with far-left ideologies.

  • #BoycottHershey’s trends on Twitter for two days as critics bash their ad campaign honoring women that features a trans activist.

Taking a page from M&M’s and the Mars corporation, Hershey’s decided to throw its weight in the ring of insulting every woman on earth by using a biological man to honor women on “International Women’s Day.”

The spiritual battle to erase women and the nuclear family has been going on for decades. Now, secular society says it is offensive to say only women can be mothers, and uses language like “birthing person” to describe a woman.

As deceived men continue to try and erase the uniqueness and feminine beauty of women, Satan is doing everything he can to put this battle front and center to erode the confidence and strength of real mothers, wives and daughters into thinking they are anything lesser than beloved daughters of the King.

  • The Board of Governors at the University of North Carolina voted to ban “DEI” statements in connection with hiring, admissions or promotions at the prestigious campus.

Perhaps the least likely outcome of late was the rejection and not full-on embrace of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) statements and compelled speech from UNC.

Academia has been the breeding ground for anti-God, radical leftist ideologies for decades, and to see a major university say no to the very unequal policies that promote division and bigotry while employing practices that promote excellence in work and achievement, is encouraging to say the least.

Americans are seeing that the path the country is on is one of destruction and chaos. A path that does not glorify God nor obey His commands. But positive strides can be made, first and foremost with genuinely repentant hearts that love and obey the Word of God. That is how real change can be made in a society spiraling out of control. {eoa}

Tucker Carlson Calls Out Christian Influencers: ‘Where are all the professional Christians?’

Tucker Carlson is calling out more public officials, but it’s not the usual left-leaning politicians. This time, he’s focused on Christian influencers.

During his cable news show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, the news show commentator called out Christian influencers for speaking but not living out the Christian faith.

“Where are all the professional Christians?” Carlson asked. “You have to wonder that again. Where’s David French and Beth Moore and Tim Keller and all these people who were defending Christianity as actual Christians are being arrested for being Christians? Not a word.”

Carlson’s statement comes after the arrest of a Canadian pastor who stood boldly for Christ during a drag queen story time at a library. The pastor was knocked down and taken out of the library for protesting the LGBTQ indoctrination of children. As The Daily Wire reported, the pastor stated that “Jesus Christ is Lord” as part of his protest.

Carlson also called into question where Christian leader Russell Moore was while the FBI investigated Catholic Christians and knocked on their doors for their connection to the pro-life movement.

“On some level all governments hate religious people,” Carlson said. “Because it’s competition. And revolutionary governments and totalitarian governments go after religious people first.”

Like the U.S., Canada provides certain freedoms to their citizens—including freedom of religion. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms explicitly provides freedom of religion, thought and expression. However, this freedom continues to diminish as fewer Canadians actively engage in faith practices.

Back in 2019, Pew Research found that “Two-thirds of Canadians (67%) say it is not necessary to believe in God in order to be moral and have good values.” This study was conducted as a response to the limitation of allowing employees to wear clothes that were specific to religious expression. However, this discard of faith for a replacement of LGBTQ ideology is not only happening in Canada, but right here in America, too.

According to the latest Barna Survey, only 4% of Americans possess a biblical worldview, as reported by The Christian Post.

In the survey it was found that 82% of people fit into the “World Citizen category.” As the survey puts it, “These are people who may embrace a few biblical principles, but generally believe and behave in ways that are distinct from biblical teaching.”

This means Christian principles are integrated into society, but few are following Christ with all their heart, mind and soul. There are fewer people who are truly committed to protecting and spreading the gospel, and the number of bystanders who are watching the offense against Christianity continues to grow.

For anyone who considers themselves to be a Christian, they must think deeply about who they really believe Jesus is to them. Revelation 3:16 (MEV) is well-known by many, but it’s a warning that needs to be taken to heart: “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth.”

Jesus also warned in Matthew 7:21-23 (MEV) that performance will not get us into heaven, but by following Him as Lord makes all the difference:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonderful works in Your name?’ But then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil.'”

Jesus is looking for people who will truly repent and follow Him to do the will of His Father. No matter what government, group or individuals try to stop the spread of the gospel, it is the job of true Christians to declare who He is until His return.

Mario Murillo: ‘A Spiritual Earthquake’ Is About to Rattle California

I am awestruck. Awestruck is the perfect word. It means that the news is so good that it leaves you weakened and takes your breath away.

We see it when the Queen of Sheba visited Solomon. The Bible says, “And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her” (1 Kings 10:4,5).

We see “awestruck” again when David considered the promises that God made to him:

“And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. Then King David went in and sat before the Lord…” (2 Sam. 7:16-18a).

When David realized that his throne would last forever, all he could do was sit before God dumbfounded.

Now I also am awestruck by good news. Isaiah 54:2 says, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.”

The harvest has been so great that every year, for the last three years, our tents have doubled in size. Think of it!

Our first tent was 8,000 square feet and seated 1,000 people. A year later, we got our current tent which is 18,000 square feet and can seat 2,500 people. I thought, “Surely that will be big enough for years to come.”

We overflowed it the first time we used it! In fact, there was only one time in the entire year when everyone was able to get inside. Then God said to do it again. “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.”

When I heard how big God wanted it to be, I was terrified. It had to be 38,000 square feet. Enough to seat 5,100 people. It can easily cover an entire football field.

When we ordered it, we instantly found ourselves entering into spiritual warfare just to obtain it. In fact, we faced warfare on several fronts.

The devil told us that our outreach would be permanently stopped. You have no idea how excited I got when he said that, because I know he is a liar.

But something astounding happened the moment we hit Bakersfield. Blessings broke loose in all directions.

To begin with, a critical shortage of vinyl delayed our new tent. But when the delay ended, it coincided exactly with our arrival in Bakersfield. Obedience unlocks blessings! We will have our new tent by May—in plenty of time for the next crusade!

What I am going to tell you now will test my credibility with you. We were so enthralled with the idea of a new tent that we failed to consider something: How will we move it, once it is finished?

Unless you see the tent, you cannot appreciate what it will take to move it. Just the size of the poles is enough to amaze you. It felt like we had to move a city. And not just once, but every time we used it.

I fell before God in prayer and cried out in prayer for a trucking company to help us. A few days later—astonishingly—a Christian trucking company called. They felt strongly that they were to help move anything we needed, to wherever we needed it.

Please get this part: they knew nothing about our tent crusades. They had no idea what we needed. Then came the most shocking part: they are located 45 minutes from the location where our tent is being made! Are you still there?

Then came one of the most strategic victories. Ever since we began tent crusades, there is one city that has loomed in my spirit in the same way that Rome loomed in the spirit of Paul the apostle: Los Angeles.

I have never seen such fierce resistance as when we tried to hold meetings in L.A.!

I will never forget the thrill when Jim Willoughby our executive director called me from Southern California and said, “Mario, we got it!” What we got is the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds for September 10-13.

As if this were not enough this week we go into our own new studios to start production of our new show that will air on Sunday nights. Todd Coconato is my cohost for a powerful new weekly show called Firepower.

If that were not enough, I am teaming up with Lance Wallnau for the Fire and Glory Tour at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida March 19-21. Already over 4,000 people have registered.

But Bakersfield itself is the biggest news in my opinion. The tent is going up right now. Frank Saldana called me from the tent site. I could hear the jackhammers putting in the stakes.

The people of Bakersfield will admit to you how badly they need a miracle. Fentanyl is killing their young people in record numbers. Gang violence is at an all-time high.

But we have invaded this city, boldly. Sixty thousand invitations have been given away in the neighborhoods. We have reached over 10,000 youth in school assemblies, because of the authority of Manual Carrizales and Stay Focused Ministries. Semi-trucks full of food, clothing, school supplies, and other necessities have gone out to thousands of families.

We were able to do all of this because we have the best partners in the world.

But we do not leave it there. We pray for them. We lead them to Jesus. But the best is yet to come.

March CM CoverA city is about to get a tent crusade for the ages. The presence of God will be so thick that you will hear testimonies of healings and dramatic conversions, even before there is any preaching. A spiritual earthquake is about to hit Bakersfield!

Our 500 volunteers are never going to be the same! I am never going to be the same.

Now you know why this good news has taken my breath away. {eoa}

Mario Murillo rose from poverty in the Mission District of San Francisco. After being revolutionized by Christ, he felt a call to the University of California at Berkeley. His international ministry was launched after a four-day conference in San Jose, California, extended for six months with a total attendance of nearly 250,000 people. Since then, Mario’s voice has been heard by millions around the world, bringing a message that zeroes in on the hurts of society. He presents Christ clearly and intelligently, and openly declares the power of Jesus to totally transform a life. His simple declaration: Come and see. Christ has the power to end addiction, racism, violence and disease.

Is This What the Week Before Armageddon Will Look Like?

The drums of war are getting louder all over the globe. In this article, I want to give you an update on the three major conflicts which will define World War III.

In the years ahead, it is inevitable that smaller regional conflicts will erupt at various times, but for this piece, I am going to focus on the three big ones. All of the participants have been preparing for war for many years, and now tensions have reached a boiling point. And once all three of these wars fully get going, none of our lives will ever be the same again.

The following are the 3 wars of the apocalypse:

1. The United States and Russia: The conflict in Ukraine has evolved into a full-blown proxy war between the United States and Russia.

Russian authorities have made it very clear who they believe their real enemy is, and U.S. officials are not even trying to hide the reality of the situation any longer.

Our politicians in Washington keep telling us that “we are in it to win it”, and on Friday another gigantic package of “military aid” was announced:

“The Biden administration announced its newest military aid package for Ukraine on Friday worth an estimated $400 million and mainly consisting of ammunition for the weapons it has already provided.

“Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the package, which is the 33rd drawdown of U.S. stockpiles for Ukraine since August 2021, saying in a statement, ‘We are again reminded of the boundless courage and steadfast resolve of the people of Ukraine as well as the strong support for Ukraine in the international community.'”

The U.S. is providing more funding for the war in Ukraine than anyone else, more military equipment than anyone else, more ammunition than anyone else, and more military intelligence than anyone else.

Oh, and now we are actually bringing Ukrainian pilots to the United States to train them how to fly F-16 fighter jets:

Two Ukrainian pilots are currently in the United States undergoing an assessment to determine how long it could take to train them to fly attack aircraft, including F-16 fighter jets, according to two congressional officials and a senior U.S. official.

The Ukrainians’ skills are being evaluated on simulators at a U.S. military base in Tucson, Arizona, the officials said, and they may soon be joined by more of their fellow pilots.

But despite all of our help, the Russians continue to advance.

In fact, it appears that the fall of Bakhmut is imminent. The following comes from a Ukrainian news source:

“The fate of the city of Bakhmut hangs in the balance this weekend, with Russian forces continuing to make gains and Ukraine blowing bridges in what analysts say is sign of possible preparations for a ‘controlled fighting withdrawal.'”

The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the Kremlin’s regular army alongside the mercenary Wagner Group forces had made “further advances into the northern suburbs of the city”, meaning the area of the city still held by Ukrainian forces is “vulnerable to Russian attacks on three sides”.

It added: “Ukraine is reinforcing the area with elite units, and within the last 36 hours two key bridges in Bakhmut have been destroyed, including a vital bridge connecting the city to the last main supply route from Bakhmut to the city of Chasiv Yar.”

Once Bakhmut falls, the Ukrainian forces in that area are going to be in a really tough position.

If the Russians start gobbling up big chunks of territory, Ukrainian leaders will become increasingly desperate.

And desperate leaders can do some really stupid things.

2. Israel and Iran: The second major war of the apocalypse will involve Israel and Iran.

The Israelis are already striking pro-Iranian forces in Syria and elsewhere on a regular basis, but at some point a full-blown conflict will erupt.

We have been hearing that the Iranians have been getting close to being able to build their own nuclear bombs for a long time, and now it is being reported that they are potentially only “about 12 days” away:

Iran could make enough fissile for one nuclear bomb in “about 12 days,” a top U.S. Defense Department official said on Tuesday, down from the estimated one year it would have taken while the 2015 Iran nuclear deal was in effect.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been warning us for a long time that he will never allow the Iranians to build a nuclear weapon, and it sounds like he realizes that the moment of truth is now upon us:

“The longer you wait, the harder that becomes,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said of a strike on Iran at a security conference in Tel Aviv last week. “We’ve waited very long. I can tell you that I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.”

I believe that this war will start in a way that most people do not expect.

And once it does start, the U.S. will inevitably get involved.

In fact, it has just been revealed that the U.S. military already has drawn up a “concept plan” for a war with Iran:

The U.S. military allocated spending for secret contingency operations pertaining to an Iran war plan, according to a classified Pentagon budget manual listing emergency and special programs reviewed by The Intercept.

The contingency plan, code-named “Support Sentry,” was funded in 2018 and 2019, according to the manual, which was produced for the 2019 fiscal year. It classifies Support Sentry as an Iran “Conplan,” or concept plan, a broad contingency plan for war which the Pentagon develops in anticipation of a potential crisis.

March CM Cover3. The United States and China: When I first started warning people that we would eventually go to war with China many years ago, a lot of people thought that I had lost it.

After all, China was considered to be a “close friend” and a highly valued trading partner.

Exposed: the Spirit of Deception Suffocating American Politics

With the release of previously hidden footage of the events that took place on Jan. 6, 2021, Americans are more split than ever on what to believe and what is the true narrative.

The new Congress, led by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, released some 40,000 hours of previously unseen video surveillance to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and the information shown by those videos reveals political lies unlike this country has ever witnessed.

This spirit of deception is not on one side of the political aisle or the other. Instead, it has permeated the halls of Congress with corruption and deception to sow division and chaos throughout the population.

Both Democrats and Republicans lied about what took place during the committee hearings, according to the information in the videos, and did so knowingly. They set aside any notion of morality, ethics or decency in the pursuit of their goal to politically crucify Donald Trump.

But this entire scenario is much bigger than Donald Trump.

With the exposing of false narratives surrounding the events of Jan. 6, the American government has shown to the whole world that it will say or do anything to fit the deep state’s narratives.

Communications Director for the State Freedom Caucus Network Greg Price tweeted out just some of the deceptive narrative the video footage exposed as being false, with the world’s richest man Elon Musk weighing in on the shocking revelations.

Perhaps the most high-profile member of the protest that day, the “QAnon shaman” who gained national notoriety, was shown on video being escorted by capitol police and walking by groups of officers throughout the capitol building.

The Respect for Marriage Act, the Jan. 6 Select Committee, FBI raids on Mar-A-Lago and pro-life activists, are all being used for the same goal of quashing resistance to the bloated federal government and the agenda being pushed by it.

Recently, Rabbi Kirt Schneider shared a warning to America that it will not turn back to God. That Scripture says the world must continue to get worse and society move further away from God before the return of Christ can take place.

Sadly, this is happening right in front of America’s eyes.

Reminiscent of the shock and horror among citizens in the 1960s and 70s after it was exposed that the CIA was conducting experiments on Americans, the president of the United States was assassinated and another had to resign in disgrace and the Vietnam War was on the forefront of everyone’s mind, the same despondent feeling is affecting people today.

But in the midst of all those problems, there was a spark of revival much like there is today.

With the recent release of “Jesus Revolution” on the heels of the Asbury Revival, the situation is spiritually similar in America as it was in times past.

People are searching and yearning for a spiritual outpouring, some aren’t even aware of what they are searching for, they just know that the status quo is not how things are meant to be.

America is unfortunately headed down a path away from God, that embraces the LGBTQ agenda as its own religion, where young children are mutilated and given hormone blockers based off the lie that they can change their genders and a corrupt government in Washington D.C. that no longer puts the good of the people at the forefront of its agenda.

Without a strong relationship with God, all these negative signs of the times can be enough to overwhelm people who then succumb to the depression, anxiety and fear that come with these events.

The videos from Jan. 6 revealed that the true enemy, who people war against as Paul writes about in Ephesians 6:12, is the spirit of deception and manipulation plaguing the halls of Congress.

If Christians have any chance of being relevant in the spiritual battle taking place in the world today, they must heed Paul’s warning of being outfitted in the whole armor of God. To do this, believers must hold fast to the truth of the Word of God, live in righteousness, put their faith in the Lord above all else, accept the salvation that Jesus Christ offers with His blood shed at the cross and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Only then can the schemes of the devil be repelled according to Ephesians 6:10-18.

Without the equipping of the armor of God, Christians open themselves up to be deceived by schemes of the enemy leading to the corrupting of the gospel by false prophets as warned about in the Bible (1 Tim. 4:1; Matt. 24:24; 1 John 4:1).

This has already become evident across the globe. Now is the time for Christians to arm themselves with the Word of God, and prepare themselves for the spiritual warfare that is to come. {eoa}

Morning Rundown: Kelsey Grammer Won’t Apologize for Loving Jesus

Here’s a quick summary of the top stories on :

Kelsey Grammer Won’t Apologize for Loving Jesus

Actor Kelsey Grammer is probably best known to audiences as Frasier Crane, the character he portrayed on the television series “Frasier” and “Cheers” for 20 years. But in a recent interview, he has spoken openly about his deep Christian faith and “the difference Jesus made in his life.”

Known for many years as one of the few conservatives working in Hollywood, Grammer, 68, told USA Today that he won’t apologize for his faith.

“I’ve had hiccups. I’ve had some tragic times. I have wrestled with those and worked my way through them: sometimes rejecting faith, sometimes rejecting God even, in a period of being pretty angry about it, like, ‘Where were you?’ That kind of thing,” he explained. “But I have come to terms with it and have found great peace in my faith and in Jesus. It’s not cavalier—Jesus made a difference in my life. That’s not anything I’ll apologize for.”

They said it was about “kindness” and it was about “everyone.” However, one of the authors said while it did include “everyone” per their biological or perceived gender, it didn’t include anyone she considered an “extremist.”

Her definition was clear after she called conservative candidates with different political ideologies than herself “Nazi’s, fascists and extremists.” Her definition of “inclusive,” was “exclusive” to those who believed different than she. A total of 17 people showed up to speak against the discrimination in the resolution. {eoa}

That Time When Haman Visited Your Church

Most people that profess to believe in the Bible are familiar with the book of Esther and the primary villain of the story, Haman. I say primary villain because the book of Esther is filled with questionable characters, moral failures and royal maleficence. Yet, with all of the palace intrigue and ethical issues within the book of Esther, there is no question that Haman is the antihero. It is Haman who instigates and initiates the attempted anti-Semitic holocaust against the Jewish people of Persia.

Thankfully, as we read through the book of Esther, the unseen G-D of the Bible delivers His people from Haman’s evil plot, and even until today, we celebrate the holiday of Purim to commemorate G-D’s victory over the evil plan of Haman.

However, even though G-D delivered the Jewish people in Persia from Haman’s nefarious plan to get rid of the Jews, the spirit of Haman still exists even today, and unfortunately, the evils of antisemitism isn’t just propagated among atheists and agnostics and politicians. The truth is that the anti-Semitic spirit of Haman exists and continues to grow within the congregations of those who profess to love the King of the Jews.

Over the years, I have been blessed to speak in churches all over the USA and many other countries. You would be amazed to know the number of times I have heard pastors and other leaders speak words from their pulpits that would have been cheered at Nazi or KKK gatherings. Pastors who introduced me with blatantly anti-Semitic and stereotypical “jokes”  about Jews and then clarified that I was not “one of those Jews because I believed in Jesus.”

Over the past few years, along with the rise of support for the organization BLM, as well as an increasing number of Christians who have accepted the false narrative of the Israeli Occupation of Israel, more and more Haman-like statements have been made by pastors across the world. Let’s not forget those Christians who wholeheartedly accept the propaganda that Jews have a secret plan to rule the world, which has only been accentuated by the financial downturn brought about by the COVID pandemic.

I have heard and read writing from leading pastors preaching words very similar to the words that Haman spoke in Esther 3:8 to congregations who excitedly amen as Haman is quoted with enthusiasm.

“Haman then said to King Ahasuerus: ‘There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom whose laws differ from those of every other people and who do not obey the king’s laws. It is not in the king’s interest to tolerate them.'”

Just recently in the USA, anti-Semitic hate groups proclaimed a Day of Hate. I heard about the Day of Hate on television, on the Internet, on the radio and read about it in newspapers. While I did hear rabbis and Jewish leaders speaking out against those people who were promoting acts of violence against Jewish people, synagogues, Jewish schools and Jewish businesses, I didn’t hear one pastor stand up and speak out against these outrageous and openly anti-Semitic threats. I didn’t hear or see one pastor get up in front of his church filled with people who claim love for a Jewish Rabbi who came to save them and loudly and unequivocally cry out for an end to antisemitism.

I am not writing this today in anger, but in disappointment with hopes that some of those reading this today will be pricked in their hearts and begin to not only pray for Jewish people, but also stand up and speak out following the example of another person mentioned in the book of Esther; a non-Jewish hero of the book, a seemingly minor character who is often overlooked and lost within the story. His name is Harbonah, and we read only one verse about him, Esther 7:9:

“Harbonah, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, ‘Look, a gallows 50 cubits high is standing next to Haman’s house. Haman himself made it for Mordecai, who spoke good on behalf of the king!’ The king said, ‘Hang him on it!'”

Harbonah, a Persian who served in the court of the king and understood the absolute truth that I pray every Christian would take to heart. The only way to stop the spirit of Haman, antisemitism, is for non-Jewish people, especially Christians, to speak out loudly and call for its absolute eradication. The only way we are going to see the end of antisemitism is when Christian leaders and church members decide to hang Haman on the gallows built to attack the Jews.

We will see the death of Haman when instead of anti-Semites calling for national Days of Hate, we hear pastors calling for national days of love. When instead of making jokes about Jews from pulpits, pastors begin to teach and share words of thanksgiving for the efforts of the Jewish people to preserve words on the pages of the very Bible where they found their Savior.

As we celebrate the Feast of Purim/Esther this year, I want to encourage every non-Jewish follower of Yeshua to stand up next to our King and join Harbonah in calling for the execution once and for all of the spirit of Haman within their churches. Next time Haman visits your church, please stand up and speak out.

Christian School Receives Massive Grant to Fund the ‘Great Commission’

Real-world experience is a crucial piece for many aspects of life such as the business world, athletics and education.

Ministry is no different, and now one Christian institution has been blessed to provide such an opportunity to its students.

Gateway Seminary in Ontario, California, a graduate-level school attached to the Southern Baptist Convention, received an initial grant of $2 million, the largest single monetary gift and the second largest general gift the school has ever received.

Gateway Seminary President Jeff Iorg made the announcement during Gateway’s annual missions conference, operated in partnership with the International Mission Board.

“When I first became Gateway’s president almost 20 years ago, one of my dreams was for every student to have an international missions experience while they were enrolled at Gateway,” Iorg said.

“God has provided a way to give future missionaries, pastors, youth ministers and worship leaders an invaluable experience on the mission field as a part of their education.”

As reported by Gateway Seminary, “IMB President Paul Chitwood was present for the event. He shared results from a research project the IMB conducted with Barna Group on the impact of short-term mission trips. The two factors that most influenced an individual’s commitment to the Great Commission were participation in a mission trip and a personal relationship with a missionary. Chitwood said the research indicated these factors lead to a 400% increase in likelihood a person will commit to career missions. Additionally, these factors lead to fourfold increases in lifetime giving to missions and commitment to pray for the nations.

“If you are a student at Gateway, do not pass this up—this will potentially forever change your life,” Chitwood said.

“It certainly will deepen your heart for the nations and continue to fashion your heart after God’s.”

No matter how trying the times are becoming in America and around the world, this does not alter the command Jesus gave to His followers in Matthew 29:19-20 saying:

“‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.”

This blessing allows for Gateway to continue equipping a new generation of Christians to not only go out into the world and obey Jesus’ commission to His followers, but they will be equipped and prepared to deal with the enemy’s counterattacks that will seek to dissuade them from the path of Christ. {eoa}
