Marcel McMillan, who was given a maximum sentence of 22 and half years in prison after Dean Elliott, a 63-year-old preacher and missionary, was killed in the crash, addressed Elliott’s family in court.

“I just want to apologize to the family, because it’s not purposely done,” he said, according to WZZM-TV. “I know I got to put you guys get through a lot. I didn’t mean to do it. I’m sorry.”

The world is watching and waiting as NASA works to get two stranded astronauts home from space. We’re also seeing faith at work as the rescue effort proceeds.

NASA Astronaut Barry Wilmore and test pilot Suni Williams should have returned from their mission weeks ago, but engine failure has prevented that.

As fellow Christians pray for their safety, Wilmore, a longtime church elder, and Williams both have the important treasure of faith with them in outer space. Facing the unknown, both NASA and its stranded crew are checking and double-checking all options so they can get home. 

“We are finding stuff and we’re correcting it and making changes, making updates with our control team,” said Williams.

The Boeing Starliner is on hold due to thruster failures and helium leaks. NASA Chief Astronaut Joe Acaba says the team continues to search for answers. “I do want to put this into perspective. If Butch (Wilmore) and Suni (Williams) do not come home on Starliner and they are kept aboard the station, they will have about eight months on orbit,” said Acaba. That means no likely return until next year.

Acaba says there’s just not enough insight or data to make a clear decision yet.

Still, he’s confident Wilmore and Williams’ experience onboard the spaceship will keep them safe.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has signed a law banning the promotion of LGBTQ+ issues in schools, prohibiting “propaganda, promotion, or incitement” of nontraditional sexual orientations or gender identities.

The amendment, backed by the nationalist Revival party, aligns with Bulgaria’s constitution and Orthodox Christian values.

The law has sparked protests and criticism, with opponents arguing it targets a non-existent problem and promotes political attacks on the LGBTQ community.

The Bulgarian grant of nearly $15,000 apparently went to support “Sofia Pride 2024 and LGBT rights as human rights through Bulgaria’s most popular and visited LGBT-related event,” spending records read.

Sofia Pride is the “largest human rights event in Bulgaria and a key to LGBTI+ visibility,” according to its website.

For Christians, it can be hard to determine who to vote for when it comes to election season. However, as the two parties become more and more divided, there are critical things to understand about the Democratic Party that can no longer be ignored.

• The Democratic Party favors the end of womanhood as we know it.

As Crosswalk noted, this party positions themselves in favor of the Equality Act which will include the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” so that LGBTQ+ identifying persons cannot be denied the chance to use “…a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual’s gender identity.”

This would essentially mean that those with poor intentions as well could loophole themselves to get into women’s spaces to either bring harm or simply to dominate in the sport’s arena.

The DNC is a perfect example of a place where “female” is being questioned as some of the women’s restrooms were turned into “all-gender” restrooms for the sake of the LGBTQ+ community.

• The Democratic Party idolizes abortion.

The Democratic Party idolizes abortion. Before the start of the DNC, Planned Parenthood offered free abortions, vasectomies, along with “emergency contraceptives.” Abortion is the altar on which the party will sacrifice themselves. During Hillary Clinton’s speech at the DNC she clung to the promise that Kamala Harris would implement more “abortion rights” across the country.

Not only does the Democratic Party idolize abortion, but they believe taxpayers should be the ones to pay for it. As Crosswalk noted, Democrats favor removing the Hyde Amendment, which currently keeps the government from using federal money to pay for abortions.

• The Democratic Party’s frontrunner is heavily influenced by her pastor’s Anti-American speech.

That’s right, Kamala Harris’ pastor has a history for speaking against the nation that he lives in. As Charisma previously reported, Amos Brown is believed to be one of the very first people Harris spoke with after Biden dropped out of the presidential race. Brown is known for having blamed the U.S. for the 9/11 attacks, with even having Nancy Pelosi saying his statements were too far in the wrong direction.

• The Democratic Party wants to see a two-state solution happen in Israel.

While Democrats have vowed to support Israel against Hamas, they also believe in creating a two-state solution. As Crosswalk reported, the White House has previously stated it would like to see a “negotiated two-state solution that ensures Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state with recognized borders and upholds the right of Palestinians to live in freedom and security in a viable state of their own.”

However, the concern with this is that it could allow terror groups like Hamas to plot, plan and work toward extinguishing the nation of Israel. We must remember the biblical warning that those who bless Israel will be blessed, while those who curse Israel will be cursed.

• The Democratic Party seeks to indoctrinate children away from their parents.

We’ve seen countless stories of public schools, particularly in blue states and areas where children are encouraged to go about hiding sexual orientation from their parents, being convinced by other adults that they aren’t actually boys or girls but the opposite of how they were born.

As The Hill reported, Harris’ VP running mate, Tim Walz, has made some drastic decisions to turn Minnesota into a “trans refuge.” In fact, Walz signed a law which essentially can take children out their parents’ houses if parents are not in agreement with their child receiving horrific “gender-affirming care.”

As this election cycle comes upon us, Christians must think very carefully and critically about the kind of nation they want to live in and the type of future they want to leave to the next generation.

Time and again, America is witnessing people put in positions of trust and authority in the Christian church succumb to the temptations of the flesh and dishonor the name of Jesus.

Recently, the wife of a Southern Baptist pastor, Shelley Strickland, was charged with, and confessed to, stealing some $404,000 while working as the financial secretary of the First Baptist Church of War Shoals in South Carolina.

As reported by The Roys Report, “Strickland worked as the financial secretary at First Baptist from 2017-2024.” Her husband pastors First Damascus Baptist Church in nearby Bradley, South Carolina.

Police report that Strickland’s husband, Pastor Mark Strickland, is not implicated at the moment as there is no evidence to connect him with the crimes committed by his wife.

There is now an in-depth investigation into Strickland’s actions, as she worked as the financial secretary for other local churches, and more charges are expected, to go along with the “breach of trust over $10,000,” charge, which could see her sentenced to up to 10 years in prison, according to police.

Often, when Strickland would pay for personal expenses, she would reimburse herself from church funds using a money transfer app. It is also reported that she sent money via these “cash apps” to her husband and children, potentially implicating them in her crime spree as investigations continue.

Ware Shoals Police Chief Bryan Louis told The Roys Report “that Strickland is cooperating with police and has been released from custody on $10,000 bond.”

There is a treasure trove of biblical verses which speak against such actions, especially for one who actively works in a church (yet their principles apply to us all), but one particular verse, Proverbs 16:8, sticks out:

Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues with injustice.

Strickland is going to learn the hard way that a life of obedience to the Word of God is far greater than one lived through dishonest gain. But her actions shine the light on the corruption that has seeped into the American church and must be rooted out and the church restored through repentance and humility before the Lord.

McMillan had pleaded no contest but had past felonies, which reportedly contributed to his more than 22-year sentence.

Elliott’s wife, Brenda, also spoke in court, recounting the events that unfolded when her husband was killed April 2, 2023, on US-131 in Michigan.

“It was like a very tragic and sad movie,” Brenda said. “But it was my reality.”

Other family members shared similar stories and emotional struggles.

His son lamented his father not being able to be present at his wedding, and Elliott’s daughter described experiencing “depleted emotional energy” that has profoundly impacted her life.

Another moment stood out in the courtroom, though: an act of forgiveness.

“Marcel, I have forgiven you,” Brenda said. “However, your actions have consequences that require justice and society deserves protection from your continued dangerous and illegal choices.”

Could we see Elon Musk rise to a governmental role?

In his interview with Reuters, Trump discussed how he would think about adding Musk to a cabinet or advisory role with his administration if re-elected.

“He’s a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He’s a brilliant guy,” Trump told the outlet.

Musk then took to his platform, X, to respond where he posted an image of himself behind a podium titled . or rather, Department of Government Efficiency. Musk simply captioned the photo with: “I am willing to serve” above the image.

Recently, Trump and Musk took to X where the two discussed in an interview the attempted assassination on Trump’s life, Biden and Harris’ policies, energy, education and more.

“The election is coming up, and people want to hear about the economy,” Trump told Musk. “…that’s the thing people most care about, in my opinion.”

Musk also chimed in how the government needs to re-evaluate how the U.S. is spending taxpayer dollars.

“I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that looks at these things to make sure taxpayer money is spent in a good way,” he stated. Musk then told Trump he’d be “happy to help out on such a commission.”

The Democratic National Convention isn’t even finished yet, but it certainly has already made a wave with its wild agendas.

We’ve already seen the DNC’s abortion worship with Planned Parenthood’s free abortions, vasectomies and chemical abortion pills along with a giant inflatable IUD. However, this was just the beginning as they essentially eliminated womanhood by turning at least one women’s restroom into an “all-gender” restroom and created a “gender neutral prayer room.”

The Christian Post shared a clip by Brent Scher on X which documented what the gender neutral prayer room looked like. The space was covered by black curtains, and when Scher pulled the curtain back, Muslim prayer mats, a table and some cleaning wipes can be seen in the area.

By trying to show their solidarity with minority groups, the DNC may have actually offended a group of people as Muslim men and women typically pray separately. Islam is also known for being opposed to the LGBTQ agenda as well. For Christians, the term “gender neutral prayer room” doesn’t quite make sense since men and women typically worship together anyway.

Scher also posted on X that there are separate men’s and women’s prayer rooms as well, equipped with Muslim prayer mats. Perhaps this is for those who are less open to the idea of a gender neutral, LGBTQ identifying Muslim.

The all-gender restrooms present at the DNC are also women’s restrooms that they turned into ones for both men and women. The map can be seen in an X post by Jeryl Bier.

For the party who claims to be all about women, so far, the only thing they’ve demonstrated at the DNC is the view that women have the right to end the lives of unborn females, and that womanhood is nothing more than whatever you’d like it to be. Clearly, men are still men, but women are being purported as some unidentifiable species. The world we are living in is truly upside-down, calling evil good and good evil.

Perhaps it’s time to go back to the beginning. Genesis 1:27 reminds us that God “created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

God only ever meant for there to be two genders: male and female. Both men and women are created in the image of God, and both have importance. Our world needs men and women, not one or the other. Let’s pray that those who have been deceived by the ways of this world would have their eyes opened to the truth of God’s Word and what He says about creation.

The Democratic National Convention convened for night two in Chicago, on Tuesday, with the theme, “A Bold Vision for America’s Future.”

But as prominent Democrats urged America to back Kamala Harris, the nominee herself was 90 miles away, campaigning in the battleground state of Wisconsin.

“We are so honored to be your nominees. This is a people-powered campaign, and together we will chart a new way forward,” Harris told the crowd.

As she stumped for votes, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff paid tribute to his wife on the DNC’s prime time stage. “Wherever she’s needed, however she’s needed, Kamala rises to the occasion. And she did it for me and our family. And now that the country needs her, she’s showing you what we already know. She’s ready to lead,” he said.

In back-to-back speeches, Michelle and Barack Obama delivered a strong endorsement of Harris, followed by cutting attacks against Donald Trump.

“We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse,” former President Obama told attendees.

“The same old con, doubling down on ugly, misogynistic, racist lies as a substitute for real ideas and solutions that will actually make people’s lives better,” said the former first lady.

CBN News Chief Political Analyst David Brody says frequent appearances by the Obamas on the campaign trail could make all the difference for Harris.

“This was a tag team approach with Michelle Obama and Barack Obama going after Donald Trump, and they went after him strong. And I think that was an extremely effective approach at the convention. I think the key question now going forward is, how much are Michelle and Barack Obama going to be on the campaign trail,” Brody said following Tuesday’s speeches.

3 Gateway Church Updates You Need to Know

Gateway Church is currently dealing with more changes amid the outbreak of scandal after Robert Morris admitted to sexual assault of Cindy Clemishire for multiple years starting when she was just 12 years old.

Recently, a lawsuit was filed after a female alleged that she was sexually assaulted during youth group meetings that the church held at The King’s University in Southlake near the main church campus, according to WFAA Channel 8.

The lawsuit claims that this happened back in the latter portion of 2016 and into 2017. The claim is that a then a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and groomed by a 17-year-old at the youth group meetings. The alleged offender had turned 18 during this time. The suit further stated that there typically were over 200 children from grades 6-12 there “with little or no supervision by Gateway’s youth counselors, pastors, leaders, chaperones or volunteers.”

The Mystery of the Nephilim Hybrids

In a recent interview with Charisma Media, author and researcher L.A. Marzulli delved into a range of topics that blur the lines between history, spirituality and the paranormal. One of the intriguing points Marzulli raised was the connection between Mormon beliefs and the Nephilim. He referenced the Mormon narrative of Nephi, who, according to the Book of Mormon, traveled from the Middle East to the Americas. Marzulli suggested that the Nephilim might have also found their way to the Americas, intertwining their history with that of early settlers. “The Nephites are Nephilim,” Marzulli asserted. “They did come over, so that’s partially true.”

In a new video warning God’s people of what could be heading our way, Perry Stone detailed a dream he had about what’s coming for America and how the story of Noah relates to our current situation today.

“Jesus made a statement in Matthew that as it was in the days of Lot and Noah, so will it be at the time of the coming of the Son of Man,” Stone says.

He then discusses the emergence of extreme weather patterns that some would consider to be climate change or global warming, but instead Stone says we should view them as the birth pains before the return of Christ.
