A Question for Those Who Chant, ‘Palestine Must Be Free’

I have an honest question for all those who chant (or who affirm the words), “Palestine must be free!” Or, more fully, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine must be free!” My question is simply this: Where would you like the 7 million Jews currently living in Israel (or “Palestine,” in your words) to go? What is your plan?

As many have pointed out, this chant is not a call for a two-state solution. It is a call for the obliteration of Israel.

Better to chant, “We are full of hate! No more Jewish state!”

Why not spell it out?

After all, if you speak of the Israeli occupation of Palestine since 1948 (or, since 1947) and you claim that Israel as a whole is living on stolen land, you are saying, “No more Jewish state!”

Perhaps this chant would be even more appropriate: “Listen to our brand-new line, our land will be Judenrein!” (For those who are not familiar with the German term Judenrein, it means “cleansed of Jews,” as in, “Nazi Germany will be Judenrein!”)

When I posted this same question on X, Fireandice responded accurately: “There is no need for a plan because if they get their way there will be no Jews.”

More fully, Christian apologist David Wood, Ph.D., who specializes in debating Muslims, sarcastically posted: “Those Jews should go back to Isra- … Oops. Um. I mean, they should go back to all the Muslim countries they were kicked out of so that …Okay, strike that. They should go to all the Western nations where protestors are calling for their extermination!”

Exactly!

More chillingly, Leeor Rose said: “They might show their true colours and follow through with what the Mufti planned from the very beginning.” (The post was accompanied by a photo of Haj Amin Al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who instigated the massacre of Jews in Hebron in 1929, sitting with Adolph Hitler.)

This was affirmed by Todd Hudnall, who wrote: “From my understanding, for many who say this it means the same thing Haman and Hitler intended, annihilation of the Jewish people.”

Yes, Alexander McKnight noted, “In the sea would be their honest answer.” Or, more concisely still, by Cheeky Tommy, “To hell.”

This sounds very much like the sentiments of some of the Arab leaders who emphatically rejected the U.N.’s 1947 Partition Plan, just as they had previously rejected the Peel Commission’s plan in 1937.

To quote Haj Amin Al-Husseini in 1936, “There is no place in Palestine for two races. The Jews left Palestine 2,000 years ago, let them go to other parts of the world, where there are wide vacant places.”

Eleven years later, on Oct. 11, 1947, and responding to the U.N. plan, Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab League, said: “It will be a war of annihilation. It will be a momentous massacre in history that will be talked about like the massacres of the Mongols or the Crusades.”

As explained by Daniel Pipes, summarizing the important book “Palestine Betrayed” by the respected historian Efraim Karsh, “Far from being the hapless victims of a predatory Zionist assault, it was Palestinian Arab leaders who, from the early 1920s onward, and very much against the wishes of their own constituents, launched a relentless campaign to obliterate the Jewish national revival which culminated in the violent attempt to abort the U.N. partition resolution.”

Yes, “Palestine Betrayed’ reframes today’s Arab–Israeli debate by putting it into its proper historical context. Proving that for 90 years the Palestinian political elite has opted to reject ‘the Jewish national revival and [insisted on] the need for its violent destruction,’ Karsh correctly concludes that the conflict will end only when the Palestinians give up on their ‘genocidal hopes.'”

Unfortunately, those genocidal hopes are burning hotter than ever. And Israel, once again engaged in an existential battle with its surrounding enemies, is reminded that it has enemies around the world, all of whom want to see an end to the Jewish state.

Meanwhile, in the U.K., London’s Metropolitan Police have ruled that chanting, “From the river to the sea” is not an arrestable offense. Given the trauma this must certainly cause for the U.K.’s Jewish residents, especially in light of the immense crowds of protesters, numbering as many as 100,000, this is quite disheartening.

It is also quite ironic, given that U.K. police have arrested street preachers for making LGBTQ+ identified individuals feel uncomfortable because of their religious beliefs. But calling publicly for the extermination of Israel is not arrestable.

One of my American colleagues who does humanitarian work in Israel told me that, for the first time, he has had to block dozens of people at a time for posting antisemitic comments on his social media pages. And, as if to remind us that this wretched disease of irrational Jew-hatred is not going away, one comment on my X feed said this: “Antichrist Jews are not America’s responsibility! Do you fools understand that the rabbis want America to fall? They have an interest in bringing down America?”

And lest you think that it’s only Islamic extremists and wacky Jew haters who see no place for a Jewish state, “The Wall Street Journal” had this to say last year: “Perhaps you thought Israel had long ago established its right to exist as a Jewish state. Guess again. Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran want to eliminate Israel as we know it, but who would have thought they’d find allies in Amnesty International?”

Yes, as the Amnesty International report stated in summary, “Israel has established and maintained an institutionalized regime of oppression and domination of the Palestinian population for the benefit of Jewish Israelis—wherever it has exercised control over Palestinians’ lives since 1948.”

Note carefully those words: “since 1948.” Nation of Israel, there is no place for you!

I’m aware, of course, that there are plenty of peace-loving, fair-minded Christians, Muslims and Jews who still hope for a two-state solution or the like. And there are people from all backgrounds who grieve over the suffering and death of thousands of Israeli and Palestinian civilians. I grieve alongside each of them.

But they are not the ones chanting, “From the river to the sea,” and those are the people I’m addressing here.

So, to ask again, where would you like the Jewish people to go, despite more than 2,000 years of connection to the land?

On second thought, I’d rather not know. There will be no good answer. {eoa}

Keys to Overwhelming the Spirit of Perversion

The spirit of perversion is not only present but is running rampant in our society today. Anywhere one looks, and not shockingly even in factions of the church, it’s not difficult to spot this dangerous and destructive spirit.

It is destroying not only today’s youth—our precious GenZers and young adults—but is also infecting seasoned pastors and ministry leaders who are supposed to be steering the younger generation away it. Billboards, grocery store aisles, movie theaters—you name it, that’s where you’ll find the spirit of perversion.

So, how do we protect young eyes from being blinded by this demonic entity? Charisma News’ James Lasher has a few provoking thoughts about keeping the nuclear family bound together and “Overwhelming the Spirit of Perversion,” which happens to be the title of an article he wrote in the October edition of “Charisma” magazine.

“Throughout history, we see perversion, and it’s a specific word that conjures up certain images or feelings to people,” Lasher says. “I hate to use this guy as an example, and may he rest in peace, but when you think of a pervert, a lot of times what comes to people’s minds is Pee-wee Herman.

“Nowadays, Pee-wee Herman kind of fits that perve mentality or creep because of his actions in the past,” he says. “But it’s so much deeper than that. When you think of perversion, it’s an altering, and in many cases from the spiritual aspect of things, it is a corrupting of God’s intent—God’s design, God’s creation—and that’s really, when you see the news, that’s what I feel guided by the Lord to be like, this is what I want you to write for this column because people need to see it.

“You need to understand,” Lasher says. “Here is the surface level of what the media is giving you, which really is less than the tip of the iceberg. The rest of it is under the surface that the Lord wants all of us right now to see, to understand and to continue The Great Commission on the knowledge and wisdom of what is occurring in the world around us right now.”

Herman, whose real name was Paul Reubens, was arrested for lewd behavior back in the 1980s, which ruined his Hollywood career. But fast forward a few decades, and today, not only is that type of behavior accepted and celebrated in the streets by events like Pride Month, but it has become the norm in our society and it is targeting our children today.

Herman, or Reubens, still has 2 million followers on his X account today. He passed away only a couple of months ago on July 30 at age 71.

“Sadly, you are right,” Lasher says. “[Pee-wee Herman] started out just fine. He might not have been everybody’s cup of tea, but like our generation we grew up with “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” on TV, and it was just a man having fun and talking to kids and his lessons were not there; there were no ideologies being pushed. It was just good ol’ silly fun.

“… But today, Satan has our children and as, I would probably argue because he has a lot of targets, children are at the forefront,” he exclaims. “They are going after children with this sexual perversion.”

Lasher also writes daily articles for , and his writing inspiration comes from a special place.

“The thing that guides me for every article that comes across my desk or goes out from my computer that I attach my name to is prayer and asking to be led by the Holy Spirit,” Lasher tells Charisma News’ John Matarazzo. “That is the No. 1 thing that I do, especially for these new Charisma Magazine Online columns.

“What does the world need to hear from God today, not from James Lasher because for myself, don’t take my advice,” he says. “It’s like, ‘Lord, what do You want me to put on paper?’ even though now everything is digital. But ‘What words do You want me to put down? Guide my words.’ Being in the media, we see the news 24/7; what’s going on, what are the happenings good and bad. … So much of what is taking place in these different spheres is spiritual in its origin, in its roots.

“That doesn’t mean every person who might be committing evil in the world is a demon-possessed, Satan in the flesh kind of person necessarily,” Lasher says. “But the guidance is from the Holy Spirit.”

Pastor John Hagee Warns of Potential Terror Threat to the US

In a recent interview on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin,” renowned Pastor John Hagee voices concerns about the United States facing a terror attack similar to the recent Hamas attacks in Israel.

During the interview, Hagee, who leads the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, and also serves as the founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel, emphasizes the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and the potential risks they pose to the United States.

Hagee makes it clear that he believes that reconciliation between the warring sides in the perpetual Middle East conflict is unlikely. He points to the recent outbreak of violence in Israel and Gaza, which began when Hamas launched terror attacks earlier this month.

Expressing his concerns, Hagee suggests that a scenario similar to the Oct. 7 attack in Israel could happen in the United States. He attributes the origins of this conflict to Iran, referring to them as the “masterminds” behind the war, and Hamas as the “ground troops.”

Hagee also highlights Iran’s derogatory references to the United States as “the great Satan” and Israel as “the little Satan.” He poses a question: “What is to stop Iran, those masterminds who planned that, from planning a similar plan for the United States of America and using the people who have come across our southern borders for a similar event to happen in this nation?”

Hagee further mentions the incident involving a Chinese spy balloon that traversed the U.S. earlier this year, suggesting that it may have provided information about U.S. military assets and bases.

Hagee’s concerns stem from the vulnerabilities that the United States faces, considering the hostile sentiments from countries like Iran and other U.S. adversaries.

Regarding border security, he references statistics from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, pointing out that 169 individuals on the Terrorist Screening Dataset were apprehended at the border in fiscal year 2023. He also notes a record number of encounters between illegal immigrants and law enforcement at the southwest border, exceeding the previous year’s figures.

In addition to these security concerns, Hagee addresses the core narratives in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He pushes back against claims that the Jewish people are “occupying Jerusalem” and surrounding areas and that these lands “belong to Arabs and Palestinians.”

Hagee firmly states that these claims are false and that the land rightfully belongs to Israel, based on a biblical covenant. He emphasizes that this covenant is mentioned in the Bible over 20 times and has never been broken. According to Hagee, the land remains the property of the Jewish people, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Hagee warns that the historical sites in Israel, some dating back to the time of Jesus Christ, could disappear if the state of Israel did not exist. He underscores the continuous archaeological discoveries that validate the presence of Hebrew rulers in the region for thousands of years.

He strongly rejects the idea of a two-state solution, stating that reconciliation between radical Islam and Judaism is unlikely. He draws a contrast between the values held by Hamas, which he describes as “people who worship death,” and the Jewish people, whom he characterizes as “people who pursue life.”

Charisma News Brief: Halloween Candy Brings Hershey’s Into Demonic Realm

All Hallows Eve falls on Oct. 31 each year, the day before All Hallows Day, also known as all Saints Day on the Christian calendar ().

The church traditionally held a vigil on All Hallows’ Eve, when worshippers would prepare themselves with prayers and fasting prior to the feast day itself. The name derives from the Old English “hallowed,” meaning “holy” or “sanctified,” but now it is usually contracted to the more familiar word, “Halloween.”

And secularists have had a field day with it ever since, associating the day with witches, goblins, vampires, but also with the demonic. It has also become a field day for secularists and so-called marketing experts, who have turned a Christian holy day into an annual satanic ritual.

Those efforts do not preclude those of some of the biggest companies in not only America but the world. The largest North American manufacturer of quality chocolate and sugar confection projects, as it touts itself as, Hershey’s has come up with a bag of candy for Halloween that it calls “Demon Treats,” with its regular assortment of chocolate to hand out to children on Halloween night.

In its release, it says, “Trust us, after you eat one of these Hershey’s Demon Treats, you will be possessed.” Clever marketing or a subtle satanic message?

This atrocity hasn’t been widely reported by the media—even the Christian media. In fact, it seems as if it’s business as usual, and no one seems to mind. Can you see what’s happening in America? Yes, it’s just as bad as KFC’s promotion of the video game Diablo IV in June, when the Lillith Demon was celebrated worldwide with a marketing campaign.

“I find it funny and good marketing,” one commenter said on Reddit.

“Literally other companies do this with other products, so what’s the big deal?” another commenter said.

And while it may not have anything to do with Halloween, a water company is finding a way to put out a product with a godless and tasteless and marketing slogan. Liquid Death has become a popular drink among children and young adults with the slogan, “Murder Your Thirst.”

In 2021, called the drink’s popularity “The Cult of Liquid Death.” The internet site says “Liquid Death started its life as a punchline on the internet, but it’s turned int a savvy branding and distinctive tallboy cans into a $50 million business.”

Forget the teen and young adult suicide rate. Liquid Death has become just the right product and marketing campaign for a country riddled with anxiety and hundreds of thousands of youngsters threatening to end their lives.

Do you see the satanic strategy here? {eoa}

Jentezen Franklin’s End-Times Series Becomes 4-Night Revival With Evangelist Perry Stone

There is no question: Biblical prophecy is accelerating at an incredible pace.

Look no further than Israel and the Word of God for proof that the words of Jesus are coming to fruition before our very eyes.

Another proof of God’s Spirit moving in the world today is how He took control of Pastor Jentezen Franklin’s “Signs of the Times” series on the night evangelist Perry Stone was speaking.

Services have been extended to continue Monday, Oct. 23, through Wednesday, Oct. 25.

God’s timing is always perfect, and with the days we are living in, a fresh move of the Spirit is not only desperately desired, but needed as well.

This is precisely what happened at Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, on Sunday night as Stone was teaching on Satan’s attempts to stop biblical prophecy from coming to fruition.

“How does the devil know [according to Revelation 12:12], how does the enemy know his time is running out?” Stone asks. “And the answer is: When he sees things happening in Israel.”

This series on biblical prophecy, the words of Jesus and the importance of Israel to all Christians was planned far in advance of the Israel-Hamas War taking place in Israel today.

God knows the times are quickening, that He is the controller of time and space, and that the prophecies of Jesus are coming to fruition.

In Matthew 24:5-8 Jesus warns His disciples what the world will look like before His return:

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, epidemics, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

These occurrences have all taken place throughout history, but now they are all happening at the same time across the globe, and Israel is the world’s main focus.

Many have seen the change in the spiritual climate of the world and are flocking for answers. This led to the Lord stirring the hearts of Franklin and Stone to continue the services for three more nights in Gainesville.

“This does not happen like this, now in modern times,” says Stone. “It shows me that the harvest is really ready, and it shows me that in this part of Georgia, and it’s not just here it’s all over, there’s a hunger.

“Something is happening … I saw 9/11; I saw COVID; nothing moved me, but the war [in Israel] it’s like God hit me in my belly, ‘You better pay attention to this.’ I just want to tell you all something: We have just entered into … something that I feel in my spirit is leading us to really the last days, and it is what’s happening in Israel,” shares Stone.

As people see the growing evil in the world, Christian and non-Christian alike, sides will be chosen and lines will be drawn.

Many, including those who claim to be Christian, are choosing the side that supports child mutilation, hates Israel and despises the morality of God.

Others are seeing this evil and know in their spirits that something is not right with it. They searching for another answer. This is evident as the altar call each night at Free Chapel is overflowing with people offering repentant hearts to the Lord.

As Franklin and Stone say, the answer is Jesus, and He is coming back soon. That is why it is imperative for His people to keep a watch out for Him, because He is coming like a thief in the night. {eoa}

The Nation’s Largest Christian University Cries Foul Over Federal Agency Scrutiny

Grand Canyon University, the nation’s largest Christian university, has recently found itself at the center of investigations by the Department of Education and other federal agencies. GCU President Brian Mueller believes these investigations are unwarranted, raising concerns that they might be related to the university’s Christian beliefs.

While no direct evidence suggests religious motivations, the fact that two of the largest Christian universities, GCU and Liberty University, are under scrutiny prompts questions about the intentions behind these investigations.

Compound these investigations with the Biden administration’s Department of Justice actively prosecuting pro-life groups and political rivals, and it does not take a stretch of the imagination to see how these allegations could be true.

GCU’s troubles began when the Department of Education denied its request to transition to nonprofit status in 2018. This denial affects the university’s ability to access grant-writing opportunities, federal research funding and financial aid programs.

GCU, originally a nonprofit institution until 2004, reestablished its nonprofit status in 2018 with approvals from various institutions, including the IRS, the Higher Learning Commission and the State of Arizona. The Department of Education, however, contested this change, leading to a lawsuit by GCU, arguing the decision was “arbitrary and capricious.” The department emerged victorious, reinforcing its stance under the Higher Education Act.

GCU’s continued appeal is set for Dec. 5, further highlighting the university’s determination to attain nonprofit status. In the meantime, the university has accused the Department of Education, the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Veterans Affairs of unfairly targeting them in response to their lawsuit.

One investigation scrutinizes GCU’s advertising practices, specifically whether its claims about the demand for cybersecurity experts are deceptive. GCU maintains its assertions are factual.

The Arizona State Approving Agency, which reviews GCU, has been accused of being influenced by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The VA, however, cites a change in law signed by former President Trump, requiring cooperation between VA and state agencies for annual risk-based surveys on educational institutions receiving GI Bill benefits. This accounts for the unique review GCU is undergoing.

The Federal Trade Commission is investigating Grand Canyon Education, the entity providing marketing and recruiting support to GCU. GCU disputes allegations of making unsolicited calls to potential students, asserting that they only contact those who express interest.

The Biden administration’s pledge to curb for-profit colleges misusing Title IV funds has also led to closer scrutiny of GCU. Despite its nonprofit status, GCU’s default rates on student loans remain low, contradicting the administration’s rationale for investigations.

A 2021 press release by GCU indicates a default rate of 5.6%, nearly half the national average at the time. However, the FTC has offered no comment on these figures.

In addition to other reviews, the Department of Education is examining GCU’s doctoral program for misrepresenting the program’s costs. The department has informed the university of a potential significant fine due to “substantial misrepresentations and other compliance issues.”

The department insists that these actions are aimed at holding schools accountable for student welfare and the proper use of federal funds, maintaining that these actions are not influenced by the university’s Christian identity or its history of litigation against the department.

Grand Canyon University’s ongoing legal battles with federal agencies raise questions about whether its Christian identity plays a role in these investigations. While GCU seeks nonprofit status and argues for fair treatment, the federal government maintains that its actions are solely in the interest of protecting students and taxpayers.

New Film Jolts People Into Escaping Hell and ‘To Love’

It’s a subject that most human beings—whether they want to admit it or not—think about more than a few times during their mortal lives. It’s an enigmatic question that has fascinated humanity for centuries.

What happens to us after we die? It’s a story that filmmaker Jason Pamer felt compelled to tell in his new documentary After Death, to take viewers on a profound journey of discovery. It’s a film that examines both the spiritual and scientific dimensions of near-death experiences and invites viewers to contemplate the possibilities and engage in their own reflections.

Is heaven real, and when will we see Jesus after we pass? Is hell real, and could we spend eternity in extreme misery and damnation, separated from God for all time?

After Death is distributed by Angel Studios, the same company that brought viewers The Chosen, the mega-hit Sound of Freedom, His Only Son and The Shift. The film hits theaters Oct. 27 and is produced by Jason Pamer, who sat down recently with Charisma News to tell the story of this incredible project.

“This film was born out of loss and grief for our director, Steven Gray, who experienced a sudden and catastrophic loss of his brother-in-law,” Pamer says. “He grew up having faith. But when we get confronted with these moments of extreme grief and death, that faith is tested. And it was with Steven.

“He went on a search and read several books by people who had done extensive research into people who have come to understand that there is something more verifiable even than just the Scriptures. There is some other corroboration that exists out there, in the medical space specifically.”

A common theme ran through many of the people with near-death experiences who were interviewed for the film. Many of them said they felt like they hadn’t died, and that they were awake through their incredible experience.

As a filmmaker, Pamer says it was both “enticing and terrifying” in presenting those afterlife experiences on film. They made sure what is presented during the movie is as real as it could possibly get.

“We didn’t want to go with some classic images of heaven because we felt like that would fall short,” Pamer says. “So, we went a little bit more ethereal and cosmic in terms of kind of textures in the way that we wanted to represent it. We wanted to elicit feelings of wonder and mystery and awe. That was the direction of the VFX team.

“We hired drone ops from around the world, and one was in Norway and got some of the prettiest places on earth. We combined these realities. And in our estimation, that is what it would be like. We wanted to combine those elements, and the VFX team did an amazing job of its custom effects throughout the whole film.

“For a documentary, it’s very much genre bending, and that’s in large part due to the amount of VFX’s cinematic recreations that are a thorough line as well,” Pamer says.

The production team didn’t simply talk to those who have had heaven experiences. They also spoke people those who have had hellish experiences, and how those completely changed their lives. The interviews were laced with extremely dark themes of eternal damnation—a scene everyone would just as soon avoid if they knew every demonic and excruciating aspect involved—a very undesirable version of the afterlife.

“Those were such powerful interviews,” Pamer says. “They shared so bravely and courageously. The contrast between what they experienced and then this relentless, cosmic pursuit of love rescued them out of that moment. That tension, living in that contrast to me is where some of the most beautiful moments in the film take place.

“And it was a challenge to depict that because it’s so easy to go cheesy and cliché and on the nose. We worked really hard at not doing that; to make it more terrifying by just a sort of less-is-more approach. During the interview he (Storm) probably stopped 30% of the way in terms of being able to give the detail because it was so traumatic.”

Pamer says the thing he is most proud of with After Death is the notion that people will leave the theater wondering about and questioning their own mortality. Some of the people in the film were able to see the grace that they were to be given and to come to the perspective that every choice they make matters.

“It incites a bigger conversation and introspection of how do we live here, in light of the hope that eternity is on the other side,” Pamer says. “For those that walk out of the film that maybe don’t attach to a faith takeaway, our prayer is that it deeply resonates with every audience member. Remember, it’s OK the way you interact with the person at the counter, the person at the drive through, your kid, their teachers and all these relationships.

“Opportunities are grounds for exposing people to the eternal love that’s chasing them. This is what the Godhead essentially told one man in his life review, to go back and love. And I was like, ‘that’s it.’ Trust us. That’s the most difficult thing to do. But it’ll be the thing that changes everything for people. That’s our hope for people coming out of the theater.” {eoa}

In India, Book of Acts-Style Miracles Still Happen

It has become common for Reformed and fundamentalist Christians to deny the miracle-working power of God. Known as cessationists, these people insist that the gifts of the Holy Spirit immediately stopped after the Bible was canonized. They believe God pulled the plug on New Testament miracles.

Cessationists proclaim that Christians only need the Bible, not supernatural experiences. That’s why they are antagonistic toward charismatics or Pentecostals who claim to have heard God’s voice, sensed His guidance in a dream, seen an angel, experienced a healing or witnessed a miracle.

Most cessationists teach their doctrines in the closed, sterile environment of the American church. They don’t get out much. If they visited thriving churches in developing countries they would quickly realize that God’s New Testament power is alive and well overseas.

I was reminded of this recently when I met my new friend Ratna Sajja, pastor of Messiah Fellowship in Vijayawada, India. A dramatic healing that happened to him when he was a boy has resulted in the conversion of hundreds of Hindus in his nation.

Born in 1964 in a rural area of Andhra Pradesh, Ratna suffered from a terrible fever when he was a baby. The sickness paralyzed his legs so that he couldn’t walk. By age 3, he was using a tiny wheelchair.

Ratna’s Hindu parents were desperate. His father, Gowthameswara, took Ratna to several Hindu temples to find healing. Gowthameswara made ritual sacrifices, gave money to various holy shrines and even shaved Ratna’s head to rid him of any evil curses. But the boy remained crippled.

When Gowthameswara sought a medical solution, a doctor told him that his son would never walk. But soon Ratna’s mother heard about Jesus, the God of the Christians. She took her son to a church, and an itinerant Pentecostal evangelist anointed him with oil and said, “Jesus is going to heal your son and give him a worldwide ministry.”

Ratna’s father was resistant to Christianity at first, but his wife became a believer after visiting the minister. For three months she anointed Ratna’s crooked feet daily with the oil that the evangelist gave her—and she started noticing improvements. Then one day when Ratna was six years old, he got up out of his wheelchair. He has walked normally ever since.

“After my father saw the miracle he was astonished,” Ratna says. “Medicine didn’t help me. Hindu gods didn’t help me. They knew it was a miracle.”

After his son was healed, Gowthameswara had a dramatic conversion to Christianity, and he changed his name to Eliazer. In 1972 he started a church in Vijayawada, and many people from Hindu backgrounds were saved. Ratna ended up going to Bible college in India, and then he attended a seminary in the United States. Afterwards he worked for 13 years at Charles Stanley’s In Touch Ministries in Atlanta—fulfilling the prophecy that he would have a worldwide ministry.

In 2015, Ratna and his wife, Jyothi, returned to Vijayawada and began pastoring his father’s church. It has now grown to more than 1,200 in weekly attendance—and thousands more curious seekers watch services on YouTube. Ratna has also planted 12 satellite congregations of Messiah Fellowship in nearby towns.

It isn’t rare for a new convert at Messiah Fellowship to testify of a healing or some other miracle. Just last week a man with an incurable skin disorder was healed, after doctors told him they had no medical solution for his condition. Over the past several years, the church has recorded regular instances of supernatural healings.

In Vijayawada, India, the book of Acts is still relevant. Miracles still happen there. And the Holy Spirit still uses miracles to spread the gospel in a nation dominated by Hinduism. I hope the American church will learn from our Indian brothers that we need both God’s Word and His supernatural power to reach this generation.

Were Ariana Grande and TD Jakes Really Mentioned in the Same Prophetic Word?

It isn’t often that you’ll hear the names Ariana Grande and T.D. Jakes mentioned together by a prophet, but recently Troy Black received a prophetic word that included both the secular pop star and the long-time kingdom preacher.

Concerning Grande, Black says the Lord told him that the flamboyant singer “is not too far gone. With Jakes, he has a warning to those who listen and follow the senior pastor of the Potter’s House, a nondenominational megachurch in Dallas, Texas.

The prophetic dream, Black says, “woke me up in the middle of the night.”

Grande’s secular popularity is off the charts, and much of that is due to the sexual lyrics of her songs. reported that her four-album, 80-plus song discography is packed with sexual references that range from subtle, cheeky nods to “Urban Dictionary-grade explicit. She’s as sex-positive as a pop star can come,” and her videos are often filled with sexually explicit material.

Yet Black says while Grande seems “too far gone” to come to Jesus, the Lord recently told him she’s not.

“I heard the Lord say this is what He wants to happen,” Black says. “I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen. God said, ‘She’s Mine; I have her resting in My hand. And she will come back, even if it takes a lifetime of servanthood to the world to see the difference between My goodness and the world’s goodness.’

“‘She has a free choice, but I’m calling her and reaching out to her,'” the Lord said, per Black. “The Holy Spirit is saying to a lot of you, ‘I’m calling out to you and reaching out to you. But no one is going to make the decision for her. It is her own to make.’ God won’t force her hand to make a change in her life.

“God loves every single person, as it says in 2 Peter 3:9: ‘The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance,'” Black says. “Are you willing to come home? He is willing to have you if you will come. Rest in the Father’s house, where it is safe.”

In the same video message, Black strangely calls out Jakes and his followers. Jakes has 7.1 followers on Facebook, 4.6 million on X and million on YouTube.

“There are a few of you people out there listening here who either attend T.D. Jakes’ church or you listen to him online,” Black says. “Although you hear the messages, you have yet to make the relationship real.

“The Lord says, ‘You have yet to come home to a real friendship with Jesus,'” Black says. “It is just religion and a game right now. The Lord is saying, ‘Come home to Me, My son; come home to Me, My daughter. Now is your chance. Now is your time. If that’s you, if you say, ‘Hey, that’s speaking right to me today, I want you to take this opportunity. Don’t waste time. Don’t throw it away. It is a rare and beautiful thing that God is giving you. He’s reaching out to you right now and saying, ‘I’m coming for you today, and I’m not going to let you go.’ … Make a decision right now to give your heart to Jesus.” {eoa}
