The Jewish Community Is Waking Up to the Left’s Realities

In Sept. 2021 I wrote an article titled, “Will American Jews Abandon The Democratic Party?”

I noted that, “After House Democrats, under pressure from their radical left wing, voted to remove Israel’s defensive Iron Dome funding from its budget, a Christian friend messaged me, saying, ‘Overwhelming Jewish support for the Democratic party is hard to comprehend.'”

In explaining the history of that support, I stated that, “it will be interesting to see what voting patterns emerge if traditional Jews continue to grow in number while the number of liberal Jews continues to drop. See, already, this prediction from 2016. And this, in turn, would likely result in a growing voting solidarity between Orthodox Jews and Christian conservatives.”

One year later, in Nov. 2022 Rabbi Michael Barclay asked, “Are American Jews Finally Leaving the Democratic Party?”

He began his article stating, “Way back in March of 2019, I proposed the idea that, similar to the BLAXIT movement, American Jews needed to remove themselves from the Democratic Party, which no longer exemplifies Jewish values, no longer supports Israel and is controlled by leftist extremists who are anti-Semitic. Although slower than hoped for, it looks like this might finally be happening.”

More recently, in Feb. 2023, Sheila Nazarian, herself an Iranian-American Jew, published an op-ed in Newsweek stating, “It’s Time for American Jews to Say Goodbye to the Democratic Party.”

She recognized that, “After experiencing first hand how right-wing nationalism could result in the murder of millions of their people, many Jews who came to America in the wake of that horrific event couldn’t ever imagine voting for a right-wing party, and some have come to associate the Republicans with nationalism and even fascism and Nazism.”

Her experience, however, as a Persian Jew was very different, and she argued that, “If liberal Ashkenazi Jews think they are protecting themselves by voting for Democrats, to us, the opposite is the case: It is Republicans who most Persian Jews see as the safer bet. And things like the anti-Israel sentiment in the Democratic Party that’s always increasing, as well as former President Obama’s calamitous Iran Deal, and the antisemitism from people like Congresswoman ‘All about the Benjamins’ Ilhan Omar, it’s getting harder and harder for us to understand how so many Jewish Americans can still align themselves with the Democrats.”

She closed with this passionate appeal: “If you have only voted Democratic in the past, if you could never dream of voting for a Republican candidate or policy, I urge you to reconsider. Right now, there is just too much at stake to keep repeating our old patterns.

“If we want to combat antisemitism, keep the Jewish state strong, and ensure that Jews are safe here in America, we have to do something different. Our future depends on it.”

All this has been underscored in recent weeks by the reaction of some Democratic leaders to the October 7 massacre and by the Jew-hating, Israel-bashing sentiments coming from the radical left, especially on college campuses.

This has resulted in a recent spate of essays basically stating that enough is enough, calling for American Jews (and even Israeli Jews) to wake up and face reality.

David Mamet’s Oct. 23 op-ed for Unherd was titled, “How the Democrats betrayed the Jews. The sick thrill of antisemitism has a price.”

He stated plainly that there is no more room to be a “Congenital Democrat,” as he confesses he was for many years.

He wrote, “But there is no more cosy [sic] mystery in the antisemitism of the Democratic Party; Representatives are affiliated with the Democratic Socialists and pro-Palestinians, calling for the end of the state of Israel—that is, for the death of the Jews. And Democrat Representatives repeat and refuse to retract the libel that Israel bombed a hospital, in spite of absolute proof to the contrary, and will not call out the unutterable atrocities of Hamas. The writing is on the wall. In blood.”

An article in The Free Press by Konstantine Kisin on Oct. 22 was titled, “The Day the Delusions Died. A lot of people woke up on October 7 as progressives and went to bed that night feeling like conservatives. What changed?”

While focusing more on leftist, liberal ideology than on the Democrats, Kisin closed his essay with these sobering words: “the truth is that we have indulged in magical thinking for too long, choosing comforting myths over harsh realities. About terrorism. About immigration. And about a host of other issues. In our hunger for progress, we have forgotten that not all change is for the better. Now the world is paying the price for that self-indulgence. Let’s hope recent events are the wake-up call we so desperately need.”

Enough with our delusional thinking, he argued. We have real enemies who want to kill us. Now is not the time to indulge in “magical thinking.”

More bluntly still, on Oct. 24 Lillian Volach posted an article titled, “All I Want to Say to the International Left Is – Go to Hell.”

But what makes her article stand out is not simply the bluntness of the title. It is the fact that it was published as an op-ed in Israel’s premiere leftwing news outlet, Haaretz. That is saying a lot.

She writes that, “One concept that has collapsed, just one among the flood of incredibly painful ones, is how segments of the international left have framed Hamas’ murderous attack on Israel, in which 1,400 people were killed, and more than 200 kidnapped, as a legitimate Palestinian civilian uprising.”

Then, speaking with real candor, she says, “As someone who deeply identifies with the Israeli left, I felt my heart dropping from where it usually is in my chest—sliding down my sleeve and fluttering on the floor in disbelief. As if this were a junior high election for student council president, every imbecile of liberalism in the world has gotten behind one of two shallow options—Israel or Palestine.

“They’ve quickly reached the conclusion that they’re too wonderful not to identify with the underdog. After all, they tried baba ghanoush once and liked it. And now they’ve announced with self-importance: ‘I stand with Palestine.'”

And so, she explains, “The point of all this isn’t to engage in self-flagellation and self-purification in the name of the entire Israeli left. We have enough to deal with, thank you very much. But we are sobering up from the mutual embrace we thought we enjoyed with people with whom it’s ostensibly still possible to hold a conversation that exceeds 280 characters.”

Indeed, “When it comes to the events of October 7 on the Gaza border, the international left, which can go into detail about each and every pronoun appropriate for each and every self-definition, has drowned in the academicization of the conversation and has been choked on its own ignorance and self-righteousness—in addition apparently to what preceded them.”

The Israeli left, she now understands, is very different than the international left.

The painful awakening continues.

And while there is certainly dangerous rightwing antisemitism as well, it’s clear that there is no refuge for the Jewish people or the nation of Israel under the shelter of the international (and American) left. {eoa}

Another Impactful Faith-Based Film Cracks Top 5 at Box Office

“After Death”, a faith-based film that explores the extensive evidence for life after death, closed out the weekend with $5 million in box office ticket sales finishing in fourth place.

As Charisma News reported, the gripping feature film, which premiered on Oct. 27 in 2,700 theaters, explores the afterlife based on real near-death experiences, conveyed by scientists, researchers and survivors, according to the movie’s website.

It finished fourth behind Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” “Five Nights at Freddy’s” and “Killers of the Flower Moon” and is the second highest-grossing documentary, this year. Film critics attribute its success, in part, to the documentary being featured in a large number of theaters, HiT reports.

“Regardless of where you land on the issue, listening to the stories related in ‘After Death’ is consistently captivating. Your opinion on the concept of an afterlife will be challenged and brought into greater focus,” wrote critic Mike McGranagham.

Moviegoers have commented online sharing how the film has impacted them.

One woman wrote on the “After Death Movie” Facebook page that the film helped her to forgive her father.

“The story of the man that hated his dad on after [death] …changed me …I hated my dad so much, [I] could not forgive him for the evil things he did to my mom …I never wanted to forgive him …but God made me realize my dad was a sick ‘m glad my hate for him is takes a lot of energy to hate for 71 years,” she wrote.

A cancer survivor also commented on the film noting that the movie “gives people hope that they will be reunited with loved ones.”

Jordan Harmon, the co-founder of Angel Studios, and the film’s producer Jason Pamer hosted a livestream panel discussion earlier this month with a cardiologist, oncologist, and engineer whose decades of extensive research are featured in the movie.

“It’s not a hallucination, it’s reality,” Dr. Michael Sabom said of the afterlife. “It is entirely possible that the soul can leave the body prior to final physical think the near-death experience is a spiritual experience in the spiritual realm of the soul separating, but not separated entirely from the body.”

Sabom is a cardiologist who wrote “Light and Death: One Doctor’s Fascinating Account of Near-Death Experiences” in 1982, exploring the validity of near-death experiences.

God Sends These 3 Things to Shake Our Attention

God does not want anyone to perish, so in these confusing and dark times, He is sending His Spirit out to grab His people’s attention.

Earlier this year God’s presence came to Asbury University, and today, Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, is having its own revival.

While different from what Asbury experienced, Free Chapel, led by Pastor Jentezen Franklin, is one of many places across America experiencing the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Evangelist Perry Stone, who is leading the revival alongside Franklin, says it is during these exceptional times throughout history that God sends three distinct events to get His people focused.

“So, what does God do?” Stone asks the congregation. “He sends three things: Revival, or an awakening, or an outpouring. Sometimes they’re all combined but many times they are three different things.

“A revival is to revive the people of God. To take the lukewarmness out. To take the carnality out. To bring them back into a full relationship with Him.

“Awakenings don’t just happen to individuals, but awakenings happen to entire regions. As a matter of fact, the Great Awakening in America happened in the state of Massachusetts many years ago, and 50,000 people were converted during that one awakening with Jonathan Edwards.

“The third thing is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and outpourings not only happen in areas or regions, but they will happen according to the final one, globally, on all flesh around the world, at one time,” says Stone.

Detailing the history behind these amazing movements of God, Stone links one factor that preceded each one before God showed up to revitalize His people: fear.

“History indicates that most awakenings, most revivals and even outpourings, come in the midst of a nation or an area or a city where great fear has come of what’s about to happen,” explains Stone.

There is much in the world today that has people fearful.

The end times, the possibility of World War III, uncertain finances, the cost of living and much more has allowed a spirit of fear to permeate the lives of many, including Christians.

“Practically every revival comes during either an economic, social, political or military crisis, and many come before a major war happens,” says Stone.

The prophetic clock that is Israel is ticking away, and many Christian leaders — good, solid, biblically based leaders — are pointing to the biblical prophecies of the end times concerning Israel and the days in which we live.

Should there be an outbreak of war that consumes the whole world on the scale of a world war, God is still in control despite Satan’s best efforts to deceive people otherwise. And God will provide an opportunity for the ears that will hear to receive salvation through Jesus Christ prior to calamity occurring in the world.

“He knows the bad that’s coming. He knows the death that could happen. He knows the crisis that’s coming,” says Stone.

“So, what does He do? He stirs the people up with the preaching of the Word so the seed will at least be in their heart, so if they should pass or if they get in a crisis knowing they’re near eternity, they would suddenly turn their hearts back to the Lord Jesus Christ,” he adds. {eoa}

Why Vanity Will Take You Away From The Righteousness of God

Have you ever considered how vanity can take you away from the righteousness of God? Even more, what about using the name of God in vain? It’s something many people do, including many Christians. How does using His holy and precious name in this way cost us?

Pastor Greg Locke shared that the problem with vanity goes deeper than just saying a filthy word or two. Christians are called to live in, but not be of, the world.

“I cannot rejoice and promote something that God clearly says is wrong in the Bible,” Locke says. “That’s not open-mindedness. That is disobedience. And so, He says don’t walk like these other people in the vanity, in the emptiness of your mind.”

Locke says vanity goes deeper and showcases the condition of the human heart.

“The Bible says don’t take the name of the Lord thy God in vain,” Locke says. “That doesn’t just mean that you use the name of God in a cuss word. It means that you live a life that is empty and void of who God really is, and so He says don’t have a vain mind.”

Vanity isn’t just about using words that dishonor God, though that plays a major role in how we view Him. It’s about being stuck in a cycle, a pattern of darkness that takes a person further and further away from the truth of God’s goodness and His gospel.

“There are a lot of people that claim to walk in light that are full of darkness,” Locke says. “The innermost being of who they are, their understanding is darkened. That is why there are some people in your life, many people in your life, most of them will be on social media; you’ll never meet them, but you’ll waste time fighting with them. That is why there are some folks you will never be able to convince them against any of their beliefs at all because their heart, their mind is darkened.”

It is this kind of darkness that we cannot live in. If Christians are supposed to be the light of the world, a city set on a hill, then it’s impossible to think or believe that we have the right to sit in the dark. God’s holiness demands that Christians seek after His righteousness to be made known here on earth as it is in heaven. Because Christians know the righteousness of God, we must not ignore it as the world does.

“The two worst things you will ever argue with a lost person about are religion and politics,” Locke says. “Because they are not going to see the nation the way you see the nation. They’re not going to see the Bible the way you see the Bible. They are incapable of righteous thinking because their understanding is darkened.”

The darkness of vanity is something Christians must be aware of so we can evaluate our heart and mindsets to make sure that we are truly living according to His ways. {eoa}

Where Is God’s Grace and Mercy in Hollywood?

When it comes to God’s character, filmmaker and actress Sam Sorbo says there is a great deal of misunderstanding on the part of human beings—even Christians.

While many want to paint the Almighty as a deity of anger, wrath and full of damnation, Sorbo says God is just the opposite and wants everyone to know that God is all about forgiveness. There is nothing you can do—outside of completely rejecting His love—for which you cannot be redeemed.

That is the central theme of Sorbo Studios’ new film “Miracle in East Texas,” which opened in theaters across the country on October 29. The movie, which stars herself, her husband Kevin and John Ratzenberger of “Cheers” fame, tells the true story of a pair of con men (Sorbo and Ratzenberger) who, during the dark days of the Great Depression in the 1930s, swindle newly widowed women out of money in exchange for phony shares in oil stock.

In this comedy, the two men are “lovable” criminals, but their exploits finally catch up with them and they are brought to justice. As they are about to suffer the wrath of the long arm of the law, God steps in an intervenes—as does Sam Sorbo—to rescue the pair from a life of imprisonment or even death by hanging.

It is an unbelievable example of how God can change the hearts of people and how forgiveness can truly “set people free.” It’s something you don’t see a lot of in this cancel culture world of ours today, Sam Sorbo says, and it’s a film that will touch the hearts of those filled with anger for just about any reason in today’s society.

“The film deals with this elusive theme of forgiveness—and redemption—and those are important themes in our world today,” Sam Sorbo says. “We have cancel culture, where you make one mistake and you’re gone.”

“Because you know that those people who do that are perfect human beings,” Kevin Sorbo said with sarcasm. “There is nothing wrong with them whatsoever.”

Sam Sorbo says, because of its godly themes, you can watch this movie “and come away a better person for it.

“A lot of the entertainment I see coming out of Hollywood is really just pablum. It doesn’t better you; it doesn’t help you. There’s a lot of anger, a lot of hate. You leave the theater kind of feeling exhausted. I suppose you have a little bit to talk about with your friends, but it’s not like a discussion of importance.

“The discussion of forgiveness is a big one for me. I’ve been writing about forgiveness for decades: it’s sort of a passion of mine … I’ve needed a lot of forgiveness (laughs); I’ve needed to offer a lot of forgiveness.”

Kevin Sorbo, who also starred in the recent hit film “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist,” says it’s time for Hollywood to clean up its act.

“That is why we want to keep making movies like this one, because Hollywood is doing a very good job of ‘where can you find Satan in this one,'” he says. “It’s because he is everywhere. So, we’re trying to do the opposite and do movies that have a positive effect on people’s lives.”

Perhaps the most touching scene, and the scene that is the biggest example of both human and God’s forgiveness, is the courtroom scene, which Sam Sorbo says is her favorite. She says it’s the pivotal scene in the movie and you can see God’s hand completely over it.

Sam Sorbo’s character, swindled by Kevin Sorbo’s character earlier in the movie, came to court with vengeance on her mind. But seeing past his “flim flam” mindset, Sam Sorbo’s character, Flora May Simms, she was able to convince the judge and those gathered in the courtroom that indeed Doc Boyd was deep down a good man.

“I know that the law might say they deserved prison, but I’m supposedly the one they wronged and I would ask you to set them free,” Flora May Simms says.

Just as Flora May Simms extended grace and mercy to Doc Boyd in Miracle in East Texas, God extends grace and mercy to us all every day. Shouldn’t we do the same for others? {eoa}

Mob Shuts Down Airport While Hunting for Jews

No, this is not Germany in the 1930s or ’40s.

This is the modern days we live in where mobs of Islamic men are actively hunting for Jews and Israelis flying into Dagestan.

As reported by the X (formerly Twitter) account OSINTdefender, an open-source intelligence-sharing account, Islamic men shut down an international airport looking for Jews arriving from Tel Aviv:

“Muslims within the Republic of Dagestan in Southwestern Russia are currently storming the International Airport in the Region in order to reportedly ‘Kill Israelis and Jews’ after Rumors began that an Israeli Aircraft was preparing to land at the Airport; this has been going [on] for the last several hours, with Pro-Hamas Support[ers] having Stormed a number of hotels and other Public Locations across the Region on the Hunt for Israelis.”

Multiple other outlets confirmed what was taking place with live video and photos being shared across the world the moment the mob took over the airport.

Dagestan is a part of the Russian republic, and Russian police lost control over the situation almost immediately.

The rioters searched the airport for hours looking for Jews, terrorizing many people they suspected of being Israeli or Jewish.

One man was surrounded by the mob when they suspected him of being Jewish, and he pleaded with them, saying he was Uzbek.

The mob is heard on video telling one another to search the man’s phone and passport to see whether he was Jewish or not.

Perhaps the most terrifying video the public saw was that of a bus full of children being approached by the riotous mob to see if any of the children were Jewish or Israeli.

This is the same evil that brought about Kristallnacht and the same hatred that led to the Holocaust.

Except now, it is in nearly every major city across the globe, and millions have marched in protest of the existence of the nation of Israel.

Make no mistake, this hatred for God’s chosen people is satanic in origin, and a continuation of the first prophecy in the Bible in Genesis 3:15:

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

Just as there was enmity between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael, and of Jacob (Israel) and Esau, there will be a continuing spiritual attack against the nation of Israel until the biblical prophecies of the end times come to pass.

Today, however, we are seeing the physical manifestations of Satan’s hatred for God, His people and His design for creation.

What Hamas, their supporters and other terrorist organizations like them are demonstrating is pure evil. They demonstrate it daily with their bloodthirst and willingness to murder while trying to cover up their evil with deceptive propaganda.

This type of violence against the people of Israel is only going to get worse in the coming days, weeks and months.

Meanwhile, God is watching and is in control of every situation, even when the world looks like it is on the brink of collapse.

Jonathan Cahn Encounters Sorcerers and Principalities

As a powerful preacher of God’s Word, Jonathan Cahn is certainly no stranger to spiritual warfare. He encounters it almost everywhere he goes as an anointed sower of the gospel of Christ

And just as he fought the powers of darkness on the island of Cuba years ago during the Communist regime of Fidel Castro, Cahn is encouraging believers to grab their spiritual armor and fight the enemy that is trying not only to destroy their country but their individual lives as well.

Years ago, when he visited Cuba, he was faced with a task so daunting that many men of God would simply refuse to take it on. God had given him the duty to help take down the intense spiritual darkness that had prevailed over Cuba for decades.

On his way to the city of San German, Cahn was well aware of the witchcraft he would be faced with. Before speaking at a church that night, he sought the Lord for a Scripture. He opened his Bible to a section where Jesus’ disciples were sent out with the gospel into dark places.

Prior to his sermon, the pastor of the church took Cahn to a room and told him that he needed to know that the city, San German, was filled with spiritual strongholds. It is a central place in Cuba known for two the greatest festivals of Santeria.

“People come from all over. It’s like an orgy all night and animal sacrifices—the occult,” Cahn says. “Then he tells me in the city of San German that there is a sorcerer and that he is a very powerful man that he uses the phrase that he has got great power and he works miracles. People come from all over the island to have an audience with him. They wait for days to get an audience with him because this is his strategic area. He has plans to raise up more occultists throughout Cuba. It’s as if he controls the city. … By the occult, he keeps people out as if there is a spiritual wall to keep the gospel out.

“As soon as we tried to go to San German, we were blocked at every part. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities. We were just trying our best to get there, to use our own abilities, which is not wrong but we could not fight against spiritual things that way. But God was bigger. God wanted something greater. He even used that hindrance.

“We had now stepped into the center of a spiritual war that had been raging in Cuba for years. Believers were praying for a breaking of this and the pastor is now explaining this as I take out my Bible an show him the Scripture God gave me in the van and it was this Scripture about a man named Simon who had practiced sorcery in the city … he boasted of being great and they called it the great power of God. But because there was a sorcerer in this city, I said, this is the reason why I came here. It is time for this darkness to end. God wants to end the darkness.”

Just then, a huge gust of wind blew through the opening of the church and everyone was “overwhelmed,” Cahn said.

“My translator was overwhelmed and he turns to them and says ‘this day the curse is broken,'” Cahn shares. “We went downstairs and I was speaking to the believers gathered from all over the city. I spoke to them and I charged them to be strong. I told them they are not the one on the defeated side by that they are victorious in God. They The are the ones with the power. You cannot live on the defense any more. You must live o the offense. The gates of Hell will not prevail.

“We, myself and the believers of San German, began praying and interceding together. As far as I know, it was the first time that it ever happened this way in Cuba, together in one accord, one spirit, praying … against the curse on this city.”

Cahn JosiahIn his book, “The Josiah Manifesto,” Cahn says Castro had taken a strong interest in this celebration. “He had taken a strong interest in us—even in me,” he wrote. “He had been watching the events on Cuban television. At one point in our journey, it came back to us that he had inquired, ‘What is this Jewish man doing with the Christians?’ And still another time, we were informed that he had asked, ‘Who is this bearded man who is causing all the ruckus?'”

On the final day of the celebration, Castro arrived. Cahn was there as well, and “he came there with a shofar, but was not led to sound it,” Cahn wrote. “I was led instead to hold it up for the entire event as the biblical symbol of freedom, hope, liberation and the power of God. It was to be lifted up so that all of the Revolution Square and all who watched on television throughout the island would see the sign of the Jubilee.”

Castro invited Cahn to the Presidential Palace where Cahn was led to give Castro the shofar. But that wasn’t all that was given to the Cuban President. He also presented, to a member of Castro’s cabinet, a Bible in Spanish that years earlier Castro had outlawed its printing and distribution. He also presented him with a letter that he wrote, “I cannot give the details of what was in the message except to say it was a prophetic word—connected to the Jubilee and concerned freedom and lifting the curse.

“The shofar I gave him in the Presidential Palace was not just a gift, but a sign—a prophetic sign. Its meaning and mystery would be manifested in the years to come. It was the sign of the rise and fall of Fidel Castro.”

That was spiritual warfare at its most intense, for sure. But for you, the believer, it is an every day battle just to stay alive.

“If you’re a child of God, you’re in a spiritual war,” Cahn says. “You’re in a fight. You are on the side of light. The darkness wars against you. There the battle of sin that’s your first battle. Then there’s spiritual warfare, whether you know it or not. t’s a good fight, the fight of faith and of light is a good fight. You are actually guaranteed to win if you fight, but remember what you fight is not earthly, it is spiritual. You must fight in the spirit, in prayer, in faith.

“So God actually used what the enemy used for evil or to try to stop God, He actually used it to do something greater that will happen in your life. That says a lot if you’re seeking to do the will of God. Even if you get resistance and setbacks and defeats, God will always use it to give you greater victory if you keep going. Don’t ever judge your situation by the way it looks, the way it feels the way it seems. It doesn’t matter. It’s always greater in God.” {eoa}

Christian Rocker Brings Prophetic Rebuke to Compromised Christian Music

Although Skillet is one of the best-known Christian rock bands ever, I only became aware of them when John Cooper, the band’s longtime frontman, wrote a strong response to former Hillsong worship leader Marty Sampson. Since then, John and I have become close friends, often interacting about the compromised state of so much of the contemporary church. In fact, Skillet’s great song “The Resistance” is the theme music for my daily broadcast In The Line of Fire.

Most recently, John has been involved in the controversy when former Caedmon’s Call singer-songwriter, Derek Webb, went to the [Dove] awards in a dress, alongside openly queer Christian artist Semler, and drag queen Flamy Grant. Webb also posted a picture of the trio on social media with the caption, “54th annual dove awards, here we come.”

Webb is a former contemporary Christian music artist who turned away from the faith and has partnered with Flamy Grant, a drag queen (and former worship leader named Matthew Blake) whose music has #1 on iTunes for Christian music in 2022. I am not making this up.

Nor am I making up the reference to the “openly queer Christian artist Semler,” as if one could be openly queer and follow Jesus at the same time. Not a chance.

John has rightly rebuked this destructive behavior, but other leaders in the contemporary Christian music (CCM) industry, have taken issue with his comments, calling him out for his alleged lack of love. They have been joined by many social media commenters who claim that Jesus is using these “drag Christians” to help us be more tolerant and inclusive in our attitudes.

In response, John posted this comment, which is worth quoting in full.

It is so right in so many ways, both in content and in tone, that I wanted to share it widely with my readers. Oh, for more voices of clarity like this!

Responding to one particular CCM leader, John wrote:

“You’ve precisely hit the nail on the head, but from the wrong perspective! We agree that love for Christ and for others should be what drives us. The question is: what does it mean to love Christ and to love others?

“You describe love as libertarian tolerance; an unwillingness to call out evil amongst God’s people; and that it’s impolite or off-point to warn the sheep that the wolves are coming for them; and to treat compromise in the church as if sin is a subjective standard.

“Sincere question: were Christians not acting like Jesus when they spoke against slavery? Or stood for civil rights? Was Bonhoeffer a judgmental Pharisee when he was warning the church against Hitler?

“More sincere questions: if people attended the Doves dressed in KKK hoods, would ‘love for Christ and being about the Father’s business’ demand silence from Christian artists? After all, God is the Judge, not us, right? ‘What’s a little racism in our midst?’

“So, will you support folks attending in blackface? What if a section of CCM artists began promoting ‘shout your abortion,’ and praising the killing of the unborn as an act of love. Does Jesus respond to that? Or does He just love people so much that He stays silent about calling good evil and evil good?

“What if folks came to the Doves promoting segregation between blacks and whites. Or promoting the end of laws that bar minors from entering into consensual sexual relationships with adults. Spoiler alert: there’s no way that you or the other folks in the industry would stay silent if those things happened at the Doves.

“You need to ask yourself—why would I be more bothered by racism than sexual immorality? Your take on what it means to love Christ and others is sentimental, not biblical. The church is to be SALT. Salt purifies, and sometimes it stings in a festering society. We are LIGHT. Light shines in darkness, and you’re suggesting that we can’t truly know what darkness is. ‘Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them’ (Eph. 5:11). ‘If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth’ (1 John 1:6).”

“Webb and co are attacking Christ and the church at our most vulnerable spot: the children. And you’re half defending it?!?! ‘But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea’ (Matt. 18:6).

“The entire OT is God calling His people to stop sinning; to purify themselves; to obey His commands. When they obey, they are blessed. When they don’t, God brings judgement. Jesus repeats that message: ‘If you love Me, you will keep My commandments’ (John 14:15).

“As if this wasn’t enough, God gives us a sobering warning that bears mentioning at this very moment. For those with ears to hear, listen: ‘But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols’ (Rev. 2:20).”

“I beg you to reconsider what it means to love Christ and to feed His sheep. To tolerate evil, to relativize sexual immorality and make the gospel nothing more than treating people nicely—that ain’t it. That is a fake gospel. And it is a gospel that is ineffectual to save. ‘treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.‘ (Emphasis mine, 2 Tim. 3:4-5) The Gospel is the power of God for salvation, not moral relativism.”

Preach it, kid brother!

This is why I love John Cooper and Skillet. {eoa}

John Ramirez Exposes the Dangers of Halloween, Trunk or Treat

In one of his latest videos, evangelist John Ramirez is exposing the dangers of allowing Halloween celebrations to creep into the church, especially in the form of trunk or treat.

“Shame on these pastors that believe they can celebrate something without no consequences,” Ramirez says.

Ramirez points out that there is no such thing as a “safe place” for kids to celebrate Halloween because there is never a time to even remotely entertain the idea of dealing with the satanic realms. He says even the very candy that is consumed on Halloween has been prayed over by those ranking in the satanic realms.

Jack Hibbs: Why the Jews Must Turn to Jesus Now

Pastor Jack Hibbs likens the nation of Israel to a mother hen, as Jesus referred to in Luke 13:34-35 (MEV):

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing! … Truly I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”

When He first came to earth, the majority of the Jewish people rejected Jesus as their Messiah. But Hibbs, the founder and pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino Hills, California, says as a brutal and costly war that began with the terrorist group Hamas on Oct. 7 and continues to rage in the Holy Land, they have but one choice for their survival: to turn to Christ.

Another proof of God’s Spirit moving in the world today is how He took control of Pastor Jentezen Franklin’s “Signs of the Times” series on the night evangelist Perry Stone was speaking.

Jonathan Cahn Reveals the End-Times Mystery of Israel and Hamas

When it comes to unlocking ancient mysteries in our day, there is no one better than Jonathan Cahn. Not only is he an eight-time “New York Times” bestselling author, but he also is greatly in tune with what the Holy Spirit is revealing to him about the events happening in our current time.

One of Jonathan’s recent videos that highlighted the Israel-Hamas conflict profoundly showcased the reality of what is happening at a spiritual level. The video is so good that I wanted to share the main points of this content with you, my readers.

“Is there anything behind it?” Cahn asks. “There is something ancient; the city of Gaza and the Gaza Strip are in the Bible. Who lived there? The Philistines lived there. They particularly dwelt by the sea, the western coast of the land of Israel. Much of their headquarters match up with the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.”
