Standing with Rabbi Jonathan Cahn: A Response to Rolling Stone’s Anti-Semitic Attack

In recent years, Rolling Stone magazine has taken a sharp turn into anti-Christian, anti-biblical and anti-God territory, and its current piece attacking Rabbi Jonathan Cahn serves as a stark reminder of this concerning trend.

The article not only misrepresents Cahn’s message, but also reveals a broader issue of bias and prejudice against those who hold a biblical worldview. It is crucial to shed light on the anti-Semitic undertones within the article. Cahn answered Rolling Stone’s article demonstrating each off-base point.

The Israel Hamas End Time Mystery

The supposed controversy surrounding Rabbi Cahn’s recent video, “The Israel-Hamas End-Time Mystery,” centers on a brief segment where he expresses compassion and sympathy for Israel and the Jewish people in light of their ongoing struggles. In his message, he highlights the significance of Jesus (Yeshua) as the Prince of Peace, emphasizing that true peace can be found in Him. Rolling Stone decided to use this call to salvation to claim Cahn blamed Jews for the Hamas terror attack, all because they have not accepted Jesus as the Messiah.

Misrepresentation and Anti-Semitic Overtones

Rolling Stone’s headline, “MAGA Messianic Rabbi Blames Hamas Violence on Israeli Indifference to Jesus,” blatantly distorts Cahn’s words and intentions. This misrepresentation is not only factually incorrect but also laced with anti-Semitic undertones. By suggesting that Rabbi Cahn blames Hamas violence on Israeli indifference to Jesus, the article falsely accuses him of demonizing the Jewish people, which he has never done. Spoiler alert: Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is in fact Jewish and expresses how much he deeply loves his people.

The Labeling of “MAGA”

The article’s very first word, “MAGA,” is a loaded term designed to pigeonhole Rabbi Cahn and tarnish his message. The left hates Donald Trump, and will try to disparage his base of followers in any way they can. Cahn teaches about the Word of God and the importance of Jesus as the Messiah, which is inherently Christian and rooted in biblical truth. Associating him with “MAGA” is an attempt to marginalize his views and delegitimize his faith, simply because Rabbi Cahn prayed with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Cahn states there is only one way for America to rise up and be the great nation she once was: repent and turn back to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The True Message of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

Rabbi Cahn’s message in his video “The Israel-Hamas End-Time Mystery” centers around the essential belief in Jesus as the Messiah and the importance of returning to biblical values. His concern for the Jewish people’s peace and salvation is a reflection of genuine compassion and not an accusation against them.

The Controversial “Stubborn” Insertion

The article goes further by adding the word “stubborn” to Cahn’s message, a deliberate insertion that carries anti-Semitic connotations. Accusing the Jewish people of being “stubborn” has been used in historical anti-Semitic rhetoric, and it is unacceptable to imply such a characterization in this context. Not to mention, Cahn never even used the word. Instead, Rolling Stone inserted it and made it appear as though it was Cahn was the calling Israelis stubborn, which is false.

Messianic Jews and Jewish Tradition

The article also wrongly implies that Messianic Jews are selling their faith aggressively, and are more charismatic Christian than Jew. This mischaracterization belittles the faith of Jewish believers who embrace Jesus as the Messiah while still maintaining their Jewish traditions. This is a natural expression of their faith and should not be distorted or disparaged.

Rolling Stone’s article on Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a clear example of how media outlets can distort the truth to promote a harmful agenda. We must support Cahn, who continues to preach the message of salvation and compassion for Israel and the Jewish people, while opposing those who seek to undermine the message and the biblical values he represents. Our faith calls us to love our neighbors and stand for the truth, and that includes standing with Rabbi Jonathan Cahn in the face of such baseless attacks.

Pastor Ditches Traditional Pulpit for YouTube Ministry

In a rapidly changing world, where traditional church attendance is on the decline, Gavin Ortlund, senior pastor of the 100-member First Baptist Church of Ojai in California, has made a bold decision. He’s leaving the pulpit to embrace full-time ministry through his Truth Unites channel on YouTube, where he’s already touched the lives of millions with his theological depth and biblical insights.

With over 3.6 million views and more than 40,000 subscribers, Ortlund’s online ministry has become a powerful platform to share the gospel and provide spiritual guidance. He believes YouTube offers incredible opportunities for spreading the message of Christ far and wide.

“YouTube is such a strategic place for ministry; the opportunities are just unbelievable,” Ortlund declared in a recent YouTube announcement.

Ortlund acknowledges the significant shift in religious engagement in the United States. “We’re going through the greatest season of religious decline in our nation’s history,” he shared. “About 40 million people have stopped going to church. And then those who don’t have any religious affiliation, which is a little different demographic, interestingly, has spiked to over 30%. Thirty years ago, it was only 5%. It’s just this massive sea change, and especially in the younger generation, there are so many people leaving their faith.”

Through Truth Unites, a ministry that “exists to promote gospel assurance through theological depth,” Ortlund is on a mission to reach those who have walked away from traditional church settings. He’s passionate about re-centering, reconstructing, revitalizing and re-stabilizing faith in those who have questioned or lost it.

Moving to Tennessee with his wife and five children, Ortlund’s ministry will operate under Renewal Ministries, led by his parents. He will also serve as a resident theologian at Emmanuel Church in the Nashville area.

Ortlund expressed that his decision is driven by a desire to focus on his true passions. “It’s been a busy three years,” he shared. “Over the last year or so, it’s ratcheted up to one level further of busyness. This change allows me to focus a little bit more and not feel like I’m doing five different things all at once.”

With more time on his hands, Ortlund plans to write books on subjects like the sacraments and existentialism, all while accepting speaking engagements related to his online ministry. He hopes to answer questions, address pressing issues and meet the spiritual needs of a changing world.

While Ortlund’s transition is a significant step, it raises an important question: is this the way many preachers are moving toward a digital platform instead of a traditional church? Does this digital approach align with what the Bible says about communing together?

As believers, we must contemplate the implications of this shift and seek guidance from the Word of God. The Bible emphasizes the importance of gathering together for worship and fellowship, as stated in Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching.”

While Ortlund’s journey is undoubtedly impactful, it sparks a discussion about the balance between digital ministry and the biblical call to gather and fellowship. It’s a conversation worth having, especially in a world where the ways of worship are rapidly evolving. {eoa}

Morning Rundown: Stephen Strang: Let Investigation Find the Truth on Mike Bickle

Here’s a quick rundown of the top stories on :

Stephen Strang: Let Investigation Find the Truth on Mike Bickle

Some leaders at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City have called for an independent, third-party investigation into charges of “clergy sexual abuse” brought last week against Mike Bickle who founded the ministry.

I wholeheartedly agree with the need for an independent investigation because the truth must come out, and often it’s hard to find the truth when those investigating have a vested interest in the outcome. Mike Bickle and IHOPKC have stood for holiness and seemed to be a paragon of virtue in a culture (and church) that has seen too much compromise.

The charges seem serious, yet at least two, who were originally thought to be “victims,” say it isn’t true. While I am not doing an investigation and I’m certainly not judge and jury, I hope what I’ve found so far will at least show there is “another side” and urge Christians not to rush to judgment. By no means am I seeking to hurt, victimize or minimize those who have come forward. Rather I am seeking to provide some personal context and insight into a very emotional and confusing moment for so many. I shared this in my Strang Report video podcast you can watch here.

A Word of Encouragement for Those Rocked by the Allegations Against Mike Bickle

It was absolutely shocking to learn this past weekend that serious allegations had been brought against Mike Bickle, senior leader of IHOPKC. (This stands for International House of Prayer, Kansas City.)

Mike is a personal friend and, to my knowledge, a beautiful example of devotion to Jesus. He spent hours daily in prayer and the Word, lived very simply, donating large amounts of money to the gospel, and always embraced a message of repentance and purity. How could the charges be true?

Right now, we must pray for everything to come to light through proper, due process, and no conclusions should be drawn until then.

Landmark Victory: Christian Student Wins $150,000 in Lawsuit Over Forced Hindu Rituals

An Illinois Circuit Court recently made a major ruling in favor of a young Christian student, Mariyah Green, who was compelled to participate in Hindu rituals, even though it went against her Christian faith.

This ruling, which awarded Mariyah $150,000 in damages and legal fees, was a result of her First Amendment rights being violated by the Board of Education of the city of Chicago and the David Lynch Foundation.

For Mariyah and her fellow students at Bogan High School, this violation occurred through a program known as “Quiet Time,” which included Hindu practices like transcendental meditation. As part of this program, students were required to engage in a Puja initiation rite, during which they recited statements acknowledging the power of various Hindu deities and were invited to channel these powers.

What makes this situation especially concerning is that students who chose not to participate in “Quiet Time” were threatened with potential negative impacts on their grades and disqualification from graduation ceremonies. Mariyah was even told that her basketball eligibility would be jeopardized if she refused to partake in the program.

The Bible speaks clearly about the dangers of practicing divination and involving oneself in occult rituals. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says, “There must not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or who uses divination, or uses witchcraft, or an interpreter of omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or a spiritualist, or an occultist, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God will drive them out from before you.”

Mariyah’s attorney, John Mauck, emphasized the profound conflict between her Christian faith and the forced participation in Hindu rituals. He stated, “Mariyah Green’s Christian faith and her dedication to Jesus Christ makes the worship of others, such as these idols, unthinkable.” This echoes the biblical teaching that we are to have no other gods before the one true God.

The “Quiet Time” program, developed by the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace in conjunction with the University of Chicago, was found to contain religious content, which had already been removed from public schools elsewhere due to constitutional violations. The violation of Mariyah’s religious rights was evident, and the court rightfully recognized the critical constitutional issues at stake.

The Bible teaches in 2 Corinthians 6:14: “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?” Forcing Christian students to participate in rituals that contradict their faith is a clear example of being “unequally yoked.”

Mariyah’s victory in this case highlights the importance of defending one’s faith and religious rights. She expressed her gratitude for the legal system’s support in upholding her rights and preventing further harm from forced participation in Hindu rituals.

This case serves as a reminder of the spiritual dangers that can arise when children are compelled to engage in practices that conflict with their Christian faith. It is crucial for parents to be aware of the occult practices permeating society, especially when it comes to their children. As the Bible instructs in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We must ensure that children are nurtured in their faith, not forced into practices that go against it.

IHOPKC Announces Path Forward Amid Allegations

At the 11:00 a.m. CST service on Sunday, Nov. 4, Executive Director of International House of Prayer-Kansas City Stuart Greaves announced the path forward for IHOPKC and its congregants.

During this trying time for the church and organization, 24-hour prayer and worship will continue unabated as IHOPKC continues to carry out the Great Commission.

Greaves assured all listening that it is IHOPKC’s goal to look after the people first, not the organization.

“The thing that is on my mind in terms of working through this process with our leadership team, is you as a people,” Greaves solemnly told the congregation.

“We’re not mostly thinking about the organization,” he continued. “Jesus didn’t die for an organization, Jesus died for living stones, for living souls, for human beings.”

Greaves laid out for members of the congregation—which is enduring much pain, fear and confusion amid the sexual abuse allegations made against its founding leader, Mike Bickle—what lies ahead for them in the coming days.

Dr. Michael L. Brown was on hand to deliver the sermon, and Greaves said Brown will also advise the leadership team at IHOPKC.

Bickle and the IHOPKC leadership agreed that while the investigation is continuing, he will be on a social media blackout and an indefinite leave of absence from the ministry.

Greaves and the leadership explained that they will take the time necessary and allow the proper steps to be taken to arrive at the truth, while ensuring care and consideration for the women who have come forward with these allegations.

“We are committed to walking this out in patience, and the deliberations,” he explained. “Not based on pressure, but based upon the fear of the Lord and patience and deliberation. At the end of the day, as shepherds, that is who we answer before; we answer before the Lord.”

In addition, Greaves explained that they have received “a mix of artificial deadlines and ultimatums” that have not helped in the search for the truth of the matter.

In response to the allegations themselves, Greaves said there is one allegation from 26 years ago that has “some credibility.” Greaves added that there are several other allegations about which the truth is extremely difficult to ascertain, due to how long ago some of them are alleged to have happened, the fact that others were made anonymously and others were made via third parties.

Several women have come forward and publicly refuted the allegations, saying they never gave permission for their names to be used by the accusing group of former leaders and instead denounced the group that made these allegations in their name.

In their journey to see truth and justice come to light, and take these matters as seriously as an organization is capable of, Greaves announced the hiring of an outside law firm, Stinson LLP, to conduct an in-depth investigation.

“We are starting first with this step to help initially assess the situations, but plan to continue to pursue the truth with integrity, guided by care for the alleged victims, the IHOPKC family and the Bickle family,” Greaves said.

In the meantime, IHOPKC leadership asks for prayer and patience during this difficult time for its extended family and those directly affected by these allegations.

‘Unplanned’ Actress Pursuing Call to Help People Find Healing

Few Christians pick up the cultural mandate to step outside the walls of church and meaningfully influence mainstream culture. Even fewer believers strategically use their God-given talents, Spirit-led wisdom and true authenticity (warts and all) to change the way the average person thinks about how healing of the soul can be intertwined with spiritual growth.

One of these courageous, visionary Christians, who have picked up the cultural mandate and aim to change culture for Christ, is a former top dancer who traded “Purple Reign” for Jesus’ reign.

Robia Scott became part of pop culture by once being “Pearl” in the late musical superstar Prince’s culturally iconic album and accompanying dance team of the same name: “Diamonds and Pearls.”

Robia Scott began her career at the age of 16 as a professional dancer and actress in Hollywood. She skyrocketed to success touring the world as a dancer with Prince and starring in hit television shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

God used this rise to fame in the 1990s to give Robia a unique platform, which she has chosen to use after her spiritual transformation to impact millions of people through the power, revelations and love of the Holy Spirit. This platform of visibility in the entertainment industry has lasted for many years.

Robia was one of the main characters in the pro-life movie “Unplanned,” who was penned and directed by the filmmakers who did “God’s Not Dead.” She was also in the episodic faith-based crime drama series called “Vindication,” which follows the small-town investigative work of a detective.

Her latest movie “Pursuit of Freedom,” which focuses on human trafficking, was a hit last year and is now available on Amazon Prime. It’s the real-life story of a Ukrainian woman who was separated from her three children and sold into trafficking by Russian gangsters. Against the odds, she survived, and she was reunited with her children.

Even with all her success in films and TV series in recent years, Robia still feels the connection back to the legendary performer Prince.

With the reissuing of late great singer and extraordinary musician Prince’s “Diamonds and Pearls” album in remastered and deluxe versions and 47 new tracks on Oct. 27, the Holy Spirit is creating a new opportunity for Robia to use her platform of fame and notoriety to bring people to a point of finding healing for their souls.

As the founder of Robia Scott Ministries, Robia has alignment and the proper posture to bring teachings of the restorative, Spirit-led life to people who need emotional healing, Christian and non-Christian alike. This is a path to influence culture, person by person, by creating meaningful and substantive films and TV series that inject practical biblical wisdom in entertaining, subtle and emotional ways that connect with people.

Her collaboration with Prince had an unexpected impact. She began to realize the long-term effects of soul injuries when she was working with Prince.

“Prince opened up to me and got a little vulnerable. He said, ‘You know why you’ll never see me in sweatpants?’ And I said, ‘No.’ He told me his story about his home and his upbringing and not having the finances and the money being an issue and being a struggle,” says Robia, who saw Prince as a spiritual person. She also believes Prince came to know the Lord before he passed away.

“I started dealing with some struggles myself. I was not a Christian yet at the time. I was on stage and on screen and traveling the world and on a hit TV show and with Prince and doing all this stuff,” she continues. “I was portraying this image of confidence, this image of power, this image of ‘I’ve got it all’ image of success, but it was very different, the image I was portraying than where I was living,” she admits.

“I had to find my own healing through Christ and work my own process,” she says.

The way Robia came to Christ showed that God can use anything and anyone to point a person to Him. She asserts that she always believed in God but did not have a relationship with God.

“God just so meets us where we are, and I was literally driving to an audition in my car on the freeway, and I said, ‘God, I don’t get the whole born again Christian thing.’ I had some people starting to talk to me about Jesus, but I thought ‘oh, I don’t know, born again. Do I need to have big blonde hair?'”

She asked God to reveal Himself to her. The next thing she knew “a pack of Hell’s Angels” were encircling her car.

“I’ve got the motorcycle gang literally all around my car in front of me on the side of me. And I go and I’m thinking, ‘oh my gosh, like this is crazy.’ I’m praying to God, and I’ve got a Hell’s Angel surrounding me, and I’m asking God to just reveal himself, reveal Jesus, and give me a sign.”

She says, “I’ve got two bikes in front of me, two motorcycle guys, and they’ve got leather jackets on. And I look on the back of their jackets, there’s a big cross, and over the cross it says, ‘We ride for Jesus.’ Really? Yeah. So, they were not Hell’s Angels. They were a Jesus motorcycle gang. So, I start cracking up, and that was like the beginning of God really starting to speak to me and woo me and pursue me.”

She goes on to say, “Then through this process of really seeking him, I became a Christian. I got plugged into a great church, and then I started that process of healing that 3 John 2, ‘Beloved, I pray above all things that you’re in health and you prosper as your soul prospers.'”

This process led Robia into the multi-dimensional Spirit-led life, and, through Robia Scott Ministries, she rests in the creative flow of the Holy Spirit to help multitudes of more people experience this true freedom of spirit and soul, while she continues to act in films and TV series that reveal truth, build people’s faith, and contribute to cultural reformation.

The Mystery of the Gates

Jonathan Cahn’s Newest Book Opens Up Stunning Parallels Between The Bible And Today’s Events

Could the events of modern times, even of recent years, be the outplaying of mysteries going back two and a half thousand years?

Could an ancient Bible prophet and the gates of America be linked to the darkest of a nation’s sins?

Could this link be central in a modern mystery, one that even involved the genetic markers of COVID 19?

Author Jonathan Cahn answers these questions and many more in his newest mind-blowing book The Josiah Manifesto: The Ancient Mystery And Guide For The End Times, published by Charisma Media.

“What’s been unfolding in our lives in the last few years – things that have altered our lives – is actually the hand of God, the God of the Bible,” says Cahn. “He’s so exact and so precise, and He’s been moving where it’s unmissable. All of these things are coming together to an answer. God is pointing us to answers for the days ahead, telling us what we need to know, what we need to stand, to prevail, to survive, to prosper. It’s a mystery journey, a symphony of mysteries, that are all going to come together.”

MURDER, CALAMITY AND JUDGEMENT AT THE EASTERN GATE

One of the most powerful mysteries in The Josiah Manifesto is the correlation between abortion and COVID. Cahn outlines astounding parallels between the Bible and today’s current events.

“Jeremiah was told to go to the Valley of Hinnom in order to give a prophecy concerning what the nation of Israel had done to its children,” says Cahn. “The valley was by the gate. The nation had committed its darkest and most gruesome of evils there, by the gate.”

Cahn points out that the gate of America is New York City, the gate through which millions have come in and gone out. “In the case of Israel, its children were murdered by the gate. So too in the case of America, it was by the gate that the nation had murdered its children.”

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up to date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

In scripture, the gate is also connected to calamity and judgment. Judgment came as the nation’s enemies broke through the gates to bring destruction. And so too a biblical form of judgment, the plague, came to the gate of America, New York.

Cahn reveals how New York was the gateway through which abortion on demand entered the American continent. “The first year of its legalization, over 45 percent of abortions were performed in New York. In 1971, over half of all abortions in America, 55 percent, were performed in New York. And in the last year before Roe v. Wade, over 51 percent of all abortions in America were performed in New York. New York was the nation’s gate of death.”

Fifty years later, death came to America in the form of a plague. “When scientists broke open the genetic code of the virus, they discovered that the majority of American cases of COVID came through the nation’s eastern gate – New York – the same gateway through which abortion had come through 50 years earlier.”

THE WESTERN GATE

There was one other state that followed New York’s lead in legalizing abortion in 1970 — the state of Washington.

“What then happens if we approach the western gate in view of the ancient mystery?” Cahn asks. “In accordance with the Jubilee there would be a return—the gate through which death entered the nation from the west in the form of abortion would, in the Jubilean year, be the gate through which death in the form of a plague would enter from the west in the form of a plague.”

And that’s exactly what happened.

“When scientists unlocked the genetic code of COVID-19, they discovered that it had entered the American continent through two gates, one on the east coast, the other on the west coast. The first was New York. The second was Washington State – the same two gates through which abortion entered the continent fifty years earlier.”

A CONVERGENCE OF SPACE AND TIME

There was another connection.

“The plague made its official entrance into America on January 20, 2020, when it entered America through patient zero. Patient zero landed in Seattle, Washington – the same western gate through which abortion had spread to the nation.”

Cahn says that if we look at the beginning of abortion – January 20, 1970 – and count forward fifty years, it takes us to January 20, 2020the day the plague officially struck America through patient zero.

“Thus the plague began its entrance into America on the same exact date that abortion on demand began its entrance into America,” he says. “The two dates were joined together by the exact fifty-year duration of the Jubilee. The death brought by abortion and the death brought by the plague each entered the land on the same exact day.”

The Josiah Manifesto reminds us that Jubilee brings reversal and restitution. “So on the Jubilee of the day that began America’s taking of life, the plague came to take the lives of the generation that had taken the lives of the children,” Cahn says. “The one was the inversion of the other—and the two days would be joined together by the Jubilee, fifty years to the year, to the month, to the week, and to the exact day.”

No human hand could have joined those two events. The timing was exact.

GOD’S BLUEPRINT FOR THE END TIMES

These are just a few of the mysteries of stunning precision opened up in The Josiah Manifesto. Cahn ends the book with answers, revealing God’s blueprint for every Christian – straight from the Bible – a guide for what to do and how to live in view of what we face in the coming days.

“It’s a guide for the end times,” says Cahn. “God wants you to know an ancient key that instructs you how to survive, and stand, and prevail in the days to come.” {eoa}

Jonathan Cahn is known as a prophetic voice to our times. He leads Hope of the World ministry and Beth Israel/the Jerusalem Center, his ministry base and worship center in Wayne, New Jersey. He is a much-sought-after speaker and appears throughout America and the world. For more information go to

Are Half of This Influencer’s Followers Really Christians?

In one of his latest videos, Christian influencer Apostle Alexander Pagani questions whether or not half of the people following his online ministry are actually born-again Christians because of the commonality in today’s society to mix half-hearted devotion to God with worldly customs that does not produce biblical fruit.

“I can say this boldly,” Pagani says. “Sometimes I wonder if half the people that follow our ministries online if you guys are born again truly, or are you just following the newest Christian fad of Christianity. I’m here to tell you that if your faith is not anchored in Christ alone, by faith alone, in the Word of God alone and you didn’t repent of your sins—not just believe in the cross, did you repent of your sin and believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried three days later and resurrected from the dead?”

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up to date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

Pagani says the problem with today’s Christianity is that the message of repentance of sins isn’t being preached. Instead, he warns that only a feel-good message has become the main focus of many platforms.

“Are you a Christian groupie?” Pagani asks. “Where you’re following this new version of Christianity. Let me tell you something man: it’s repent or perish.”

Pagani points to the truth that we all have fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of Christ to be Lord and savior. There is absolutely no other way that we can be saved.

“You need to repent of your sins, turn from your sin and ask Christ to be your savior and make Him Lord and live this thing for real,” Pagani continues.

Pagani believes one of the issues plaguing the American church today is an attitude much like Solomon. While Solomon was the wisest person who ever lived, he also did not follow the Lord with his entire heart. Instead, he intermarried hundreds of women who turned his heart away from God.

“There is an epidemic of Solomon’s in the churches. You want to know what mantel is dominating the Christian church? Solomon—who is deep because Solomon never lost his wisdom. Read the book of Ecclesiastes. But he was deep, but he was mixed,” Pagani said.

This warning against becoming like Solomon doesn’t go just for those who are attending church; it is equally important for those in positions of leadership as well. It is possible for anyone to fall into the dangerous trap of becoming mixed, not following God with their entire hearts.

“You got these pastors that are deep, but they’re not preachers of righteousness. They’re motivational speakers inflating the ego of their congregates and scratching their itchy ears. Repent of your sin and flee,” Pagani said.

Pagani’s warnings ring true for much of what we see in the church today. As we see cancel culture and indoctrination creeping its way into the pulpits, we also see the message of a watered-down grace finding its way there. However, with Scripture, prayer and direction from the Holy Spirit, believers can seek out churches where the truth of the gospel is preached to all creation. {eoa}

Why is Mike Johnson Such a Breath of Fresh Air for Congress?

It is despicable how those on the Left have attacked the new House Speaker, Mike Johnson, because of his faith in God and respect for the Bible. In his first speech as speaker, Johnson talked comfortably about the power of prayer and his faith in God.

He also referred to himself as a “Bible-believing Christian.”

The Left had a meltdown. MSNBC host Jen Psaki called Johnson a “religious fundamentalist” and mocked his faith. The Daily Beast compared Johnson to the “Taliban and the mullahs in Iran.” Hakeem Jeffries, the Minority leader in the House, ripped into Johnson, calling him an “extreme, right-wing ideologue.”

However, their attacks on Johnson and his faith are attacks on America. Johnson’s biblical faith and worldview are eerily similar to those of Washington, Madison, and the entire founding generation. Consider the following.

The Bible in the Lives of the Founders

The Bible was, in fact, the most popular book in America at the time of its founding. America’s founding generation found in the pages of the Bible its moral compass, its guide for ethics and its Christian worldview.

This was confirmed by a 10-year study to determine where America’s Founders got their ideas for her founding documents. After examining thousands of speeches, letters and other documents, the leaders of this study concluded that the Founders quoted the Bible far more than any other source (Hyatt, 5 Pillars of the American Republic, 13).

It is, therefore, not surprising that when the First Continental Congress opened on Sept. 5, 1774, it opened with an extended time of Bible reading and prayer. Rev. Jacob Duche read the entire 35th Psalm and it had a powerful impact on everyone present, John Adams, who became America’s second president, wrote to his wife, Abigail, back in Boston,

I never saw a greater effect upon an audience. It seems as if heaven had ordained that Psalm to be read that day. I saw tears gush into the eyes of the old, grave pacific Quakers of Philadelphia. I must beg you to read that Psalm (Hyatt, 1726: The Year that Defined America, 108).

Every succeeding session of the Congress was then opened with Bible reading and prayer.

The Founders’ respect for the Bible was also highlighted by their endorsement of the first English Bible printed in America in 1782. The producer of the Bible, Robert Aitken, called this Bible, “a neat Edition of the Scriptures for the use in schools.” Congress enthusiastically recommended the Bible, saying:

“Resolved: That the United States in Congress assembled, highly approve the pious and laudable undertaking of Mr. Aitken . . . and being satisfied from the above report, of his care and accuracy in the execution of the work they recommend this edition of the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States and hereby authorize him to publish this recommendation in the manner he shall think proper” (Hyatt, 5 Pillars of the American Republic, 15).

Because of the high regard for the Bible in Colonial America, no one was surprised, or offended, when George Washington insisted on taking the first presidential oath of office with his hand on a Bible. A person swears by that which is greater than himself, and for Washington, the Bible was the greatest tangible authority by which he could swear to uphold and defend the Constitution.

James Madison, America’s fourth president and chief architect of the U.S Constitution, respected the Bible as a revelation from God. He studied at the College of New Jersey under the president, Rev. Jonathan Witherspoon, who once said, “Cursed is all education that is contrary to Christ.” After graduation Madison remained at the college where he worked on a project translating the Old Testament from Hebrew into English and the New Testament from Greek into English. The late Dr. D. James Kennedy said, “Madison’s political worldview was one shaped by the Bible more than any other source” (Hyatt, 1726: The Year that Defined America, 143).

Andrew Jackson, America’s seventh president, once gestured toward a Bible and said to the person with whom he was conversing, “That book, sir, is the rock on which our Republic rests.”

In a Dec. 1982 article in Newsweek entitled “How the Bible Made America,” the authors declared:

“For centuries [the Bible] has exerted an unrivaled influence on American culture, politics and social life. Now historians are discovering that the Bible, perhaps even more than the Constitution, is our founding document” (Hyatt, 1726:The Year that Defined America, 7).

The simple and sincere faith of Speaker Mike Johnson is a breath of fresh air for America and offers hope for the future. It is the modern left-wing secularists, not Speaker Johnson, who have departed from the faith and vision of America’s founding generation. {eoa}
