How to Let Go in the New Year

Some memories are treasures. Worthy to be protected and cherished.

Some, like the Amalekites, must be left where they fell. We must let go of them. Move on. We must, especially as we age, learn which is which. All too often we talk too much about the wrong memories. God admonished Moses to “put out the remembrance of Amalek.”

Real Life, Even More Real Day by Day

Letting go is among the most important of all the keys to aging gracefully. Yet, as important as it is, the phrase sounds like a hollow platitude. I have heard it said a million times and seen it on bumper stickers and buttons: “Let Go and Let God.” The challenge is making that truism real in real time and in real life. We are somehow predisposed to hold on to stuff, wounds no less than blessings. Some people are emotional hoarders. Their lives are stuffed with trash they should have sent to the dump years ago. The question is, What do we let go of? What do we hold on to? We often memorialize the wrong things and jettison that to which we should desperately cling. Some things need to go in the rubbish bin never to be retrieved. Other things need to be cherished and enjoyed like beloved heirlooms.

Exodus 17:14 (KJV) is a fascinating verse. “And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” Why would God tell Moses to recount the wild, wonderful, dramatic story of the Exodus in Joshua’s hearing? Joshua had been there for all of it. God asked him to do so because both he and Joshua needed to share the memory. Moses needed to tell it, and Joshua needed to hear it again. Some memories need to be gone over repeatedly. The Amalekites need to be forgotten. The trick is knowing which is which.

Cindy Jacobs Releases Urgent Prophetic Word for 2025

For Christians sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is saying today, Cindy Jacobs’ urgent prophetic message is a clarion call to prayer, faith and action. Her recent video address weaves economic warnings, spiritual strategies and personal encouragement, urging believers worldwide to respond to these critical times with intercession and wisdom.

We cannot keep on that course. No nation can survive with that… This is very, very critical.” Her call is that believers must intercede for leaders with the wisdom to govern economically, as the fate of the global economy hangs in the balance.

“Who gets hurt?” Jacobs asks. “The people… Everyday people, us, not people that have large means… So what do we do? We pray.”

Intercession as the Solution

Jacobs recounts the Reformation Prayer Network’s quiet yet powerful history of intercession. “We have many times gone and prayed to stabilize the economy,” she shares, adding recent efforts include prayers for Wall Street and the banking system. “This would not be the first time that we have seen a great potential of economic disasters, and we have taken it to earnest prayer.” She believes these prayers can avert disaster: “I felt like the Lord said to me that there would be a severe course correction, but if we prayed, it would not fall into what we know as a Great Depression.”

Aligning with Israel

History has shown that nations suffer when they turn against Israel, Jacobs warns. “Every time in history that we have gone against Israel, the nation has plummeted… People are blessed when they bless Israel, and they’re cursed when they curse it.” She then issues a simple plea to pray that the U.S. maintains its alliance with Israel. “We don’t want to come against God; we want to do what is right.”

Practical Wisdom and Preparedness

Jacobs advises Christians to take practical steps in uncertain times. “If you feel like you should have emergency supplies… this is just a word of wisdom, not fear,” she says, emphasizing faith over fear. “Mike and I have emergency water, emergency flashlights… It’s just wisdom.” She also highlights the possibility of local economic shifts, such as barter systems and gold- or silver-backed currencies in small cities. “I know I heard that 28 states are looking into being on the silver and gold backup current deposits as opposed to the fiat or paperless. I think those are great ideas.”

Praying Against War and Pandemic

Jacobs reveals a long-standing prophetic insight: “For about 15 years, we’ve known Satan wanted to use a regional war to start a world war.” She calls for sustained prayer against global conflict and for the mitigation of severe pandemics. “What about the word about the pandemic coming with millions of people dying?” she asks. “I believe God is not willing that any should perish… We want to pray to stop that pandemic.”

Jacobs also reflects on past intercessory efforts during the COVID-19 crisis: “A lot of people criticized us because we had meetings to try to stop COVID, and it didn’t completely stop it. But I believe it does mitigate, especially regionally, against severe pandemics.”

Personal Encouragement for a Frustrated Season

In a poignant moment, Jacobs shares a vision of individuals struggling with closed doors. “You are in a season where you feel frustrated because you can’t seem to just get that door open,” she says. “But on the other side of the door, God is moving things around… Your prayers are causing all of these things to happen.” She encourages believers: “Will you trust [God] and not lean to your own understanding?”

A Call to Action

Jacobs finalizes her message with a rallying cry for prayer. “Let’s not get into fear; let’s pray and intercede,” she urges. Her words echo 2 Chronicles 7:14, reminding believers that God’s promise to heal the land hinges on humble, repentant prayer. “In judgment, remember mercy. We do have a merciful God.”

This prophetic word is both a sobering warning and a spur to activity. It challenges Christians to rise above worldly fear, align with the purposes of God and pray with fervency for the economic, spiritual and global stability of our time. Officers Enter Blazing Flames in Miracle Rescue Effort

California police officers recently “raced against time” to save a man trapped inside a burning trailer.

The life-threatening situation unfolded at the Grand Avenue Mobile Home Park on Dec. 27, when officers with the Grover Beach Police Department received a report of a trailer fire.

Upon arrival on the scene, police learned from people on the ground that a man was stuck inside.

“Our officers jumped into action to rescue a man trapped in his trailer as flames blocked his exit,” the GBPD said in a Facebook post. “Thanks to swift action by dispatchers, and alert citizens who informed our officers that there was still a person inside the trailer, the man’s life was saved.”

Fortunately, the man suffered only minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to be assessed after his rescue.

Bodycam footage released after the incident shows police arriving at the RV park, approaching the inferno, and asking, “Is there someone inside?” After residents responded—and with flames quickly consuming the RV—cops immediately ran toward danger to save the victim.

One officer started bashing in a trailer window and yelled, “Where are you?” The cop was desperately trying to find the man as smoke billowed out of the RV; the victim could be heard screaming for help from inside.

Suddenly, the man was seen in the body cam footage jumping headfirst out of one of the windows the officer had smashed.

”Go! Go! Go!” the cop responded, quickly grabbing the man and bringing him away from the blaze.

Officer Sam Castillo, one of the responding officers, told KSBY-TV that the sights and sounds he experienced in those moments stuck with him.

“I could hear the person screaming,” he said. “That was in my mind for a little bit even after I got off that day.”

Castillo said the victim thought he wouldn’t make it.

“He looked at us and said, ‘Man, I thought I was a goner. Thank you guys,’” the cop added. “It feels good to know you helped someone, especially in an incident like this.”

‘Bishop Lazarus’: T.D. Jakes Makes Ministry Return Following Health Crisis

Bishop T.D. Jakes has returned to the pulpit at The Potter’s House Dallas following a health scare in November. He considers his life nothing short of a miracle.

Jakes made his return during the New Year’s Eve service at the Dallas megachurch.

“I cannot tell you how glad I am to be in the house of the Lord tonight,” Jakes told the congregation. “I missed you. I thank you.”

Jakes says he experienced anxiety before heading back to the same spot where he almost lost his life.

“I had a fair amount of anxiety about walking out on this stage, standing in the same spot that I almost died in,” Jakes says. “In fact, I think I did. But God in His infinite wisdom and His great grace brought me back to the same spot.”

Jakes says while he was in the emergency room he asked the Lord why He allowed his health scare to happen in public, right on stage in front of everyone.

“And He said, ‘I made a sign out of you,'” Jakes says. “If God be for you, no weapon formed against you shall be able to prosper.”

Jakes encouraged the congregation, asking them that they would let his return to the pulpit be a signal to them that God bring them into a comeback.

“I don’t know what you’re going through tonight, but let this be a signal to you that you’re on your way to a comeback. And if I’m talking directly to you, and if all the odds have been against you, and if they couldn’t hardly get a pulse on you, and if you couldn’t hardly recognize anybody and everybody said you weren’t going to make it, I’m standing here as a testimony. I don’t come as Bishop Jakes, I come as Bishop Lazarus to let you know that with God all things are possible.”

Jonathan Cahn: Are We Witnessing the Signs of Revelation?

Best-selling author Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s powerful sermon on the signs of the coming apocalypse provides a sobering yet hope-filled reminder of the times we are living in. From ancient prophecies to modern realities, Cahn weaves together Scripture, history and current events to reveal the urgent need for the church to stay vigilant.

“The Antichrist will declare himself God in the Holy Place,” Cahn warned, drawing from Matthew 24:15, where Jesus references Daniel’s prophecy about the abomination of desolation. Cahn explained that this Holy Place points to the Temple in Jerusalem, the epicenter of God’s prophetic timeline.

Cahn highlighted the unprecedented growth of the global population as another key sign. “Revelation speaks of multitudes and an army of 200 million,” he said. “That was unimaginable at the time John wrote it, but today, it’s not only possible; it’s reality.” Indeed, the world population has crossed 8 billion, fulfilling a context in which such prophecies could come to pass.

One of the most chilling parallels Cahn pointed out was the connection between the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and the prophecy of Wormwood in Revelation 8:10-11: “The name Chernobyl means wormwood in Russian,” he explained. “Revelation describes a great star falling from heaven, poisoning the waters. This is not coincidence.”

His sermon also pointed to the rebirth of Israel as a prophetic milestone. “In 1948, Israel was restored as a nation after nearly 2,000 years,” Cahn said. “In 1967, Jerusalem returned to Jewish hands. These fulfillments are the foundation of God’s end-times plan.” He referenced Revelation 7:4, which mentions 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, emphasizing Israel’s central role in the events of the end of days.

Cahn’s insights into Armageddon were equally striking. “Zechariah 12:3 says all nations will gather against Jerusalem. Revelation confirms this with the armies assembling at Armageddon. Look at today—anti-Israel sentiment is growing globally.” This worldwide focus on Israel is not some random event but is deeply rooted in biblical prophecy.

The sermon didn’t shy away from discussing the technological advancements enabling real-time global connectivity either. “Revelation describes events witnessed instantly worldwide. For the first time in history, technology makes this possible,” Cahn observed. From live broadcasts to social media, the world is interconnected in ways John could not have imagined.

Turning to Ezekiel’s prophecy, Cahn noted, “Ezekiel 38 speaks of a coalition of nations against Israel—Persia, which is Iran; Togarmah, which is Turkey. Look at the alliances forming today. These aren’t random; they’re prophetic.”

Amid these alarming signs, Cahn’s message carried with it hope for the future. “Revelation is not just about chaos; it’s about the sovereignty of God,” he said. “He is in control, and we must trust Him. If you are His, these times should not terrify you but draw you closer to Him.”

Cahn’s call to action for all believers is as clear as day. “God’s people need to stay grounded in His Word. These are not times to grow complacent. Jesus said, ‘Watch, therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord will come'” (Matt. 24:42).

As we witness these signs unfold, the church must respond with urgency and faith. The fulfillment of prophecy is not merely an intellectual exercise; it’s a wake-up call from the Holy Spirit. Are we listening?

After Playoff Setback, Boise State Praises God Above All

Players and the head coach for the Boise State University Broncos credited God for giving them an incredible season and a chance to play in this year’s College Football Playoff.

The No. 3 ranked team in the county and winner of the Mountain West Conference had only had one loss (against the No. 1 University of Oregon Ducks) coming into its Tuesday night CFP quarterfinal matchup with No. 6 Penn State University in Glendale, Arizona, in the Fiesta Bowl.

But Penn State’s defense showed up in a big way, holding the Broncos’ Heisman Trophy finalist running back Ashton Jeanty to his lowest run total of the season, just 104 yards, with nearly half of that coming in the final quarter of the game, USA Today reported.

Jeanty had needed just 132 yards to surpass former Oklahoma State running back Barry Sanders’s single-season rushing record of 2,628 yards, set back in 1988.

Penn State put Tuesday’s game on ice with about five minutes to go in the 4th quarter with a 58-yard touchdown run by back Nicholas Singleton, increasing PSU’s lead to 31 to 14, which was the final score.

Jeanty’s longest run of the night was 26 yards. He had fumbled the ball twice in the game, though the Broncos at least recovered one of those.

A reporter asked Jeanty after the game, “What do you learn as a human being, as a man, not a football player, about a night like this?”

“Whatever it is, your best is always expected and you know sometimes you don’t always do your best, or do what you plan to do, but you know God always has a bigger plan for you,” Jeanty replied, according to KIVI-TV.

Bronco defensive end Ahmed Hassanein told reporters, “First I want to start off and say all glory to Jesus Christ. He’s the true champion.”

“Coach D, you changed my life,” he added, looking off camera to Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson, who has been forthright about his Christian faith.


“I did not know God until I got to Boise State,” Hassanein said. “And I serve a true champion. Jesus Christ is the only true God. He died [and] rose from the dead three days later. That’s the champion that I serve.”

Danielson, in his first full season at Boise State as head coach, talked to reporters about his team’s loss. “I do know God never says ‘oops.’ And as hard as tonight is, as a competitor and as a coach, I do believe we learn and grow from everything. And the best is still to come for our team.

“I’m so proud of this team. It didn’t go our way tonight,” he continued. “I’m so proud of this team. … Obviously, tonight we didn’t execute the way we needed to, to win a heavyweight fight like we knew this was going to be, and we got to learn and grow from that as a program. But I’m so proud of this team re-establishing the standard in Boise.”


Faith also appeared to be important to several members of the Penn State football team, who could be seen joining hands and kneeling on the field before the game in apparent prayer.

Penn State travels to Miami next week to play the winner of Thursday’s Notre Dame-University of Georgia game.

10 Crucial Questions Raised by the New Year’s Day Terror Attacks

Someone needs to call Jack Bauer, because it appears that we definitely could use him right about now.

Our “new” golden era of “peace and safety” has been very rudely interrupted by the “old” problem of Islamic terror. Of course the truth is that it is a problem that never went away. There were dozens of major terror attacks in 2024, but most of the population is not going to pay attention unless something happens within our own borders. Sadly, everyone is paying attention now.

Very early on New Year’s Day, a 42-year-old nut named Shamsud-Din Jabbar rammed a truck into a large crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. We are being told that 15 people are dead and dozens more are injured.

A man intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans’ French Quarter early on New Year’s Day, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens of others, officials said.

A black ISIS flag was flying from the truck’s rear bumper, and the attack is being investigated as an act of terrorism, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

The man driving the vehicle has been identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen from Texas, the FBI said.

So was this the end, or is this just the beginning?

The following are 10 questions that we should all be asking about the chaotic New Year’s Day terror attacks:

1. Why did an FBI special agent initially tell us that the attack in New Orleans “was not a terrorist event”? Something about all this does not smell right.

Multiple sources are reporting that the attacker in the deadly New Orleans attack that killed 10 people and injured dozens more was carrying an ISIS flag at the time of the attack, leading many to question how and why an FBI special agent confidently declared that the attack was “not a terrorist event” early on in the investigation.

Witnesses indicated that the attacker was flying a “large black flag” from his truck at the time of the attack, which would be consistent with a description of the ISIS flag. The FBI has since confirmed that the flag was, indeed, an ISIS flag, leading many to harshly criticize the FBI’s initial response to the attack, which flatly denied any connection to terrorism.

2. What happened to the other “potential IEDs” that law enforcement found in the French Quarter? The following is an excerpt from an official statement by the FBI.

Weapons and a potential IED were located in the subject’s vehicle. Other potential IEDs were also located in the French Quarter. The FBI’s special agent bomb technicians are working with our law enforcement partners to determine if any of these devices are viable, and they will work to render those devices safe.

3. Shamsud-Din Jabbar had threatened to kill his own family before joining ISIS with the intention of committing terrorism on U.S. soil. Did law enforcement know about any of this beforehand? If so, why was nothing done?

In a series of videos, the suspect in the deadly New Year’s attack in New Orleans discussed planning to kill his family and having dreams that helped inspire him to join ISIS, according to multiple officials briefed on the investigation.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the 42-year-old man who police suspect drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens more, made the chilling recordings while driving from his home in Texas to Louisiana, authorities believe.

Jabbar, a US citizen and Army veteran who served in Afghanistan, made reference in the videos to his divorce and how he had at first planned to gather his family for a “celebration” with the intention of killing them, two officials who had been briefed on the recordings said. But Jabbar said in the videos that he changed his plans and joined ISIS, and referenced several dreams that he had about why he should be joining the terrorist group, according to the officials.

4. Did Shamsud-Din Jabbar act alone? From the evidence that we have at this hour, it appears that he probably was not.

From the first news of the attack, Islamic State websites have been echoing with sick celebrations of the attack. This alone suggests that it was not the work of a lone wolf claiming to be an agent of IS, but was in fact organised from abroad by its underground HQ in the Middle East.

The fact that investigators found guns and concealed pipe bombs wired for remote detonation – as well as a corresponding remote control device inside the truck – was enough for the FBI to declare it does not believe the driver was acting alone.

5. A Tesla Cybertruck exploded in front of Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning. Was this attack linked to the attack in New Orleans?

A Tesla Cybertruck burst into flames Wednesday morning just outside the entrance of Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and injuring several other people, local officials said.

The explosion is now being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, three senior members of law enforcement briefed on the matter told NBC News. A motive has yet to be established.

6. Who made the “makeshift explosives” that caused the Tesla Cybertruck to explode?

Police have released a series of photographs from inside the Cybertruck which blew up outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, revealing an arsenal of makeshift explosives.

The driver of the Elon Musk-owned Tesla Cybertruck, who has not yet been formally identified, died in the explosion and seven members of the public were injured.

Charred fireworks, gas cannisters and camping fuel were found in the bed of the truck when authorities were finally able to put out the fire.

7. The Ford truck used in the New Orleans attack and the Cybertruck used in the Las Vegas attack were both rented from Turo. Is this an important clue?

Musk claimed the Cybertruck and the Ford used in the New Orleans attack had both been rented by the same company.

He posted on his X platform: “Appears likely to be an act of terrorism.

“Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way.”

8. Why are vehicles being used in so many Islamic terror attacks now? According to USA Today, vehicle attacks have been “killing and injuring thousands of people internationally.”

Cheap and simple vehicle-based attacks have rapidly become one of the deadliest forms of terror assaults worldwide, killing and injuring thousands of people internationally since they began becoming more frequent after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Experts say a combination of factors have increased the number of vehicle attacks in recent years, notably the increased focus on outdoor events after the pandemic, ease of access to trucks or cars, and the uncomplicated nature of the approach itself.

9. What policies will the incoming Trump administration enact in response to these attacks? On Truth Social, Trump sounded very angry following the attack in New Orleans.

When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true. The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!

10. Are more terror attacks coming? Thanks to years of very foolish policies, we now have vast numbers of people living in the U.S. that are supportive of terror organizations. For example, just 12 hours after the attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, a “massive crowd of Hamas supporters” conducted a very large protest in Manhattan.

A massive crowd of Hamas supporters has taken over downtown Manhattan, NYC, calling for a global intifada.

Twelve hours from the tragedy in New Orleans and Las Vegas and these people are doing this.

Do they have no shame?

As I alluded to in my headline, we were warned that this was coming. Now it is here.

I am entirely convinced that a lot more chaos and a lot more violence are on the way.

We are far more vulnerable than most people realize, and the next time you find yourself in a crowded place I would recommend being in a constant state of high alert.

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

Through these words, Jesus highlighted the complacency and preoccupation with daily life that characterized these eras. The warnings serve as a call to vigilance and spiritual readiness for His return.

The Days of Noah

The story of Noah’s time is found in Genesis 6:1-8. Humanity had reached unprecedented levels of corruption and wickedness. The Bible describes this period as a time when “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Gen. 6:5).

Characteristics of Noah’s Era

1. Moral Decay: The people in Noah’s day were consumed by self-interest and materialism. Similar to Paul’s warning in 2 Timothy 3:2-4, they were “lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers… lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”

Today’s culture mirrors these traits. The rise of social media has amplified self-obsession and the relentless pursuit of personal validation. Just as in Noah’s day, the spiritual apathy and moral degradation are evident.

2. Demonic Influence: The mention of the Nephilim in Genesis 6:1-4 points to the unnatural union between fallen angels and humans. This corruption of God’s creation symbolizes the rebellion and lawlessness that permeated society.

In modern times, the influence of dark spiritual forces can be seen in the normalization of practices and ideologies that distort God’s design. Technological advancements like genetic engineering and transhumanism raise ethical and theological concerns, echoing the mingling of “iron and clay” described in Daniel 2:31-44.

3. Disregard for God’s Warnings: Despite Noah’s preaching of righteousness, the people ignored God’s warnings. This parallels today’s indifference to the gospel and the rejection of absolute truth.

Lessons from Noah’s Time

The ark symbolizes God’s provision for salvation. Just as Noah’s family was saved through the ark, believers are offered redemption through Jesus Christ. The challenge is to live righteously in a world increasingly hostile to God’s ways.

The Days of Lot

The account of Lot’s time is found in Genesis 19. Lot, the nephew of Abraham, lived in Sodom, a city notorious for its sin and rebellion against God. The characteristics of Sodom’s society provide further insight into the conditions preceding Christ’s return.

Characteristics of Lot’s Era

  1. Sexual Immorality: Sodom’s inhabitants were consumed by sexual perversion, including acts of homosexuality and other unnatural desires. Jude 1:7 states, “Sodom and Gomorrah… having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh… are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Today’s culture mirrors this moral decline, with widespread acceptance of practices that contradict God’s design for sexuality. Movements seeking to undermine biblical values have gained prominence, promoting ideologies that challenge God’s order.
  2. Violence and Injustice: Sodom was marked by violence, oppression, and a lack of regard for human life. These characteristics are evident in today’s world through the prevalence of terrorism, human trafficking, and systemic injustice.
  3. Apathy Toward God: The people of Sodom disregarded God’s authority and moral laws. Similarly, secular humanism and relativism dominate modern society, leading many away from God’s truth.
  4. Worldliness: Lot’s hesitancy to leave Sodom and his wife’s longing for the city’s pleasures reflect the dangers of attachment to worldly desires. Today, materialism and the pursuit of comfort often hinder spiritual commitment.

God’s Judgment and Mercy

Sodom’s destruction serves as a reminder of God’s judgment upon unrepentant sin. Yet, His mercy is evident in the rescue of Lot and his family. Similarly, God offers salvation through Christ to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith.

Parallels to Modern Times

The conditions of Noah’s and Lot’s days bear striking similarities to our world today:

Moral Corruption: Societal values increasingly stray from biblical principles.

Spiritual Apathy: Many prioritize material success and personal gratification over spiritual growth.

Warnings Ignored: Prophetic voices are often dismissed or ridiculed.

Transhumanism and the Image of God

One striking parallel is the rise of transhumanism. This movement’s pursuit of human enhancement through technology raises concerns about tampering with the Imago Dei—the image of God in humanity.

Theological challenges include:

Alteration of God’s Design: Radical changes to human biology risk undermining God’s creation.

False Promises of Salvation: Transhumanism’s hope for immortality through technology contradicts the gospel’s message of eternal life through Christ.

The Church’s Response

In these times, believers are called to:

1. Live Righteously: Like Noah and Lot, Christians must remain faithful amidst a corrupt world.
2. Proclaim the Gospel: The Church is tasked with sharing the message of salvation and calling others to repentance.
3. Discern the Times: Believers must recognize the signs of Christ’s return and stay spiritually vigilant.
4. Cling to God’s Word: Scripture provides the foundation for navigating the challenges of the end times.

A Final Call to Readiness

The days of Noah and Lot serve as sobering reminders of God’s judgment and mercy. As the world grows increasingly similar to these eras, the urgency for spiritual readiness intensifies. The ark and Sodom’s rescue illustrate God’s provision for those who trust in Him. Through Christ, we have the promise of salvation and eternal life.

Let us heed the warnings of Scripture, stand firm in our faith, and shine as beacons of hope in a darkening world. Just as Noah and Lot bore witness to God’s truth, we too are called to be faithful in proclaiming the gospel and living for His glory. For the day of the Lord will come, bringing both judgment and redemption. May we be found ready when He returns.

God’s Recipe to Repair Your Ripped Relationships in 2025

“Ripped” abs are one thing, but ripped family and friend relationships are something else. Left to linger, they take an incredibly painful emotional, spiritual and mental toll on our lives. Who comes to mind as you read these words?

Remember how Paul told the Philippian community of believers to plead with two lovely ladies named Euodia and Syntyche to please end their relational differences and restore the unity to which God calls us as His family (Phil. 4:2–3)? How would you like to be remembered throughout history for being like these two bickering babes? Neither should we want to be remembered like this by family and friends because we wouldn’t “die to ourselves” and walk humbly (even submit to mediation, Matt. 18:15-16) to have our broken relationships healed for the glory of God. 

Start Strong

Everyone likes a fresh start. A new beginning. The opportunity to put some things behind us and get going on the pathway to success. With the recent election, there is an air of optimism, so let’s lean into it for unity and a brand-new future.

We don’t have to keep looking in the rearview mirror or remain stuck. Pivoting may not be easy, but it pays rich dividends! 

The apostle Paul, like all of us, made mistakes and experienced relational conflicts with people (such as Peter and Barnabas) but demonstrated his maturity and character by resolving the rifts and reminding us to do likewise, remaining forward looking rather than plagued by regrets.

“Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things” (Phil. 3:13b–15a, NIV).

As a spirit of accusation has been unleashed from hell to bring division to churches, couples, families and friends, long-standing relationships have splintered, causing trauma and terrible examples to onlookers (especially our children and young people). Let’s change it.

In John 17 Jesus prayed for us before His crucifixion, “Father, I pray they be one, even as we are one, so that the world may believe that You have sent me” (see vv. 20-23). In other words, if the world does not see love and unity among God’s people, Jesus is giving them the right to question whether He came from God. Shocking but sobering.

Auld Lang Syne

On New Year’s Eve around the world, friends and family gather to traditionally mumble through a 1788 Scottish song that emphasizes the question: Should old acquaintances be forgotten, or should we once again remember and rekindle long-standing relationships, not letting them fade into “once upon a time?”

As we bid farewell to the old year, we must be careful to go forward with kindness and not dwell on past issues that divide us. “Should old acquaintance, be forgotten and never thought upon, the flames of love extinguished, the heart grown cold, that thou can’t reflect on days once upon a time?”

Embarking on a fresh new year gives all of us the opportunity to humble ourselves before God and one another, reflect on the undeserved forgiveness and mercy God has given us, then do as Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount. Here, He told us when we come before His presence to put down our gift and first be reconciled to someone where an offense exists. He also stated that if we do not forgive others (70 times seven), neither will our heavenly Father forgive us (see Matt. 18:21-23, 6:14-15).

Let’s engage in the spiritual discipline of reconciliation. 

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. … Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled” (Heb. 12:11-17, ESV).

10 Biblical Steps to Restore a Relationship

  1. Affirm that being reconciled is a directive, not an elective (Matt. 5:23-24).
  2. Reject passivity and act intentionally to thwart the “accuser of our brethren” (Rev. 12:10b, NKJV).
  3. Conduct yourself in a godly manner, being “swift to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19b, ESV).
  4. Honor due process, coming in a spirit of inquiry and not accusation, knowing “the first to present his case seems right, until the other comes and examines him” (Prov. 18:17).
  5. Purpose to give people the benefit of the doubt and be loving, avoiding inflammatory, categorical statements that are inconsistent with charitable conversation (1 Cor. 13).
  6. Resist all prideful, self-righteous attitudes and actions in dialogue, remembering that we are all sinners saved by grace (Jer. 17:9–10).
  7. Uphold the directive of Jesus to meet privately and personally to handle apparent sinful conduct, thereby steering clear of gossip and slander (Matt. 18:15).
  8. After thorough interaction, if you are at an impasse, follow the instruction of Jesus and humble yourself to seek mature biblical counsel to help resolve the conflict (Matt. 18:15–16).
  9. In repairing relationships, intentionally extend mercy to others, differentiating between an isolated incident and an ongoing pattern of behavior (James 2:13).
  10. Celebrating God-given diversity within the Christian community, pledge to be gracious in recognizing different preferences, personalities and positions on gray areas and disputable matters, refusing to let them be a source of division (Rom. 14).

Here’s the deal: The new year is beginning, and this is going to be our opportunity to launch into it with a new sense of freedom because we’ve put God first and dealt with division to walk in unity for God’s glory. I will be honest in acknowledging that my family and I have fallen short in this area this past year, but we’re moving forward to honor God through repentance and reconciliation efforts.

“Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!—Life forevermore” (Ps. 133:1, 3, NKJV).

Time to Dream Big Again

When the announcement was made on election night that President Donald Trump had won, it was a pivotal moment in the massive spiritual battle that will determine America’s future.

America is living through a divine reprieve; a season of grace offered by God to correct our nation’s course and align it with His purpose. Joel 2:28b (MEV) declares, “I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.” Today, this Scripture resonates profoundly, as the prophetic meets the political in this transformative moment for our nation.

I believe God chose Trump as the leader of the free world at this critical time in history because his destiny is uniquely intertwined with America’s destiny—and even the world’s destiny. As I wrote in “The Trump Code,” Trump’s reelection is no mere coincidence. I believe it is part of a larger plan the Holy Spirit is orchestrating, calling America and the world to awaken, repent and realign with God’s will.



Return to the ‘City On the Hill’

Throughout history, God has used unconventional leaders to fulfill His plans. Trump’s boldness, resilience and ability to withstand relentless attacks echo the characteristics of leaders God has chosen throughout history—biblical figures like King David, who faced Goliath and Moses, who led his people to freedom from Egyptian tyranny. In the same way, Trump’s leadership serves as a rallying point for those who yearn to see America return to its Judeo-Christian roots of faith, freedom and moral clarity, as the Pilgrims and Puritans and Founding Fathers envisioned.

This victory is far more than a political shift—it is a chance for us as a nation to seek God’s guidance and turn away from the evil and corruption that have permeated our society. I believe God has put the ball in our court at this pivotal time in history. This is a moment of profound opportunity to reclaim our identity as a “shining city upon a hill,” as President Ronald Reagan said in his farewell address to the nation in 1989. He said:

The phrase comes from John Winthrop, who wrote it to describe the America he he imagined was important because he was an early Pilgrim, an early freedom man. He journeyed here on what today we’d call a little wooden boat; and like the other Pilgrims, he was looking for a home that would be free.

I’ve spoken of the shining city all my political life, but I don’t know if I ever quite communicated what I saw when I said it. But in my mind it was a tall, proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, wind-swept, God-blessed and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace; a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity. And if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here. That’s how I saw it and see it still.

America’s ‘Nineveh Moment’: 40 Days of Prayer, Fasting and Repentance

As the 2024 presidential election approached, I felt an overwhelming urgency to help mobilize America’s faith community in prayer, fasting and repentance. Our nation was standing at a spiritual and moral crossroads. In response, Dr. Larry Keefauver, author of “Prayers of the Presidents: From the Oval Office,” and I launched the “40 Days to Save America” campaign, calling on believers to intercede for America through prayer, fasting and repentance.

As word spread, people around the world joined in prayer, fasting and repentance, many who may not have heard of the campaign, but I believe were spontaneously compelled by the Holy Spirit. We invited believers to humble themselves, seek His guidance and pray fervently for revival during this critical time.

The response was extraordinary. The campaign transcended denominational boundaries, uniting perhaps millions of believers with a shared goal. Churches hosted prayer gatherings, while virtual events and live-streamed intercessions created a powerful sense of collective mission.

Inspired by Billy Graham

The campaign was profoundly shaped by Billy Graham’s prophetic warning to me in a 2013 interview. Graham compared America’s moral decline to the conditions in ancient Nineveh before its people repented and were spared destruction. His words resonated deeply as the campaign unfolded, following the Great North American Eclipse on April 8, seven years after the awe-inspiring Great American Eclipse in 2017, which formed a giant “X” in the heart of America and passed through multiple cities named Nineveh.

In a story I wrote for Charisma at the time, I asked: “Is God sending a message to Earth? Is this what Billy Graham foresaw as America’s ‘Nineveh Moment?’” The results were encouraging, as we witnessed Trump’s miraculous reelection on Nov. 5, media reports of pockets of revival breaking out across the nation, many people returning to church and a 22% increase in Bible sales. It seems President Trump’s reelection has ignited renewed hope throughout the world, and I believe the Holy Spirit is using this opportunity to initiate what Pastor Paul Begley calls the “Great Harvest Revival.”

“People are experiencing anxiety themselves or they’re worried for their children and grandchildren,” Jeff Crosby, president of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, told The Wall Street Journal regarding the 22% increase in Bible sales. “It’s related to artificial intelligence, election cycles … and all of that feeds a desire for assurance that we’re going to be OK.”

These reports offered hope that God was responding to our collective cry for mercy. “This is about turning hearts back to God,” Paul McGuire said. “It’s a time of preparation for the challenges ahead.”

In the wake of Trump’s reelection, I knew this was just the beginning of a monumental spiritual battle for the future of America and the world. So, we launched the “77 Days to Take Back America: Igniting the Final Great Awakening” campaign, encouraging people to keep praying, fasting, repenting and interceding for America from Nov. 5 until Jan. 20, 2025, Inauguration Day.

As I noted in “The Trump Code”—a book that explored the seemingly prophetic 19th-century novels of Ingersoll Lockwood, “The Baron Trump Collection,” the last of which is titled “1900: or, The Last President,” in which a populist president is elected followed by political upheaval and societal discord—I believe it’s critically important to continue praying for the safety of President Trump and his team, as well as America, as we approach Inauguration Day and go into 2025.

At this time, I believe that if we continue to humble ourselves and seek God’s will, He will guide and heal our nation. Like the people of Nineveh, we have a chance to align our hearts with God’s purpose and witness His mercy.

DOGE Biblical Stewardship in Washington, D.C.

When President Trump announced the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, I knew this was a game-changing moment for America. Designed to eliminate $2 trillion in waste by 2026, DOGE embodies a bold, innovative approach to governance that challenges the inefficiencies entrenched in Washington. Under the leadership of Elon Musk and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, this advisory body is not just another bureaucratic entity—it’s a visionary initiative that leverages private-sector ingenuity to reshape federal operations and restore accountability.

DOGE’s mission is clear: streamline redundant programs, eliminate wasteful spending and realign governance with principles of stewardship and efficiency. What sets this initiative apart is its commitment to addressing critical issues, such as defunding Planned Parenthood—a move that faith leaders see as a significant step toward aligning governance with biblical values. But DOGE isn’t just a conservative effort. What is surprising is its ability to spark bipartisan curiosity. Progressive figures like Senator Bernie Sanders have expressed openness to collaborating on specific aspects of DOGE’s agenda, particularly in reducing inefficiencies in defense spending. This unexpected bridge across ideological divides underscores a shared frustration with government inefficiency. For progressives, DOGE offers an opportunity to redirect funds toward health care, education and climate initiatives—areas long advocated by its base. Meanwhile, conservatives see it as a chance to realign government spending with fiscal responsibility and moral principles.

In an opinion piece for The Wall Street Journal, Musk and Ramaswamy said this is an “historic opportunity” to solve a long-standing problem:

Most government enforcement decisions and discretionary expenditures aren’t made by the democratically elected president or even his political appointees but by millions of unelected, unappointed civil servants within government agencies who view themselves as immune from firing thanks to civil-service protections. This is antidemocratic and antithetical to the Founders’ vision. It imposes massive direct and indirect costs on taxpayers.

Of course, challenges remain. While progressive leaders welcome the opportunity to address bloated defense budgets, many are critical of DOGE’s plan to defund Planned Parenthood, viewing it as politically charged. Similarly, conservatives are wary of any attempts to redirect funds toward progressive priorities. Yet the willingness of leaders like Sanders to engage with DOGE represents a rare moment of bipartisan potential. As DOGE moves forward, its leaders remain steadfast in their mission to return the government to its founding principles of serving the people.

I believe DOGE is a symbol of hope and a paradigm shift in how Washington operates. By bridging divides and pioneering reform, DOGE has the potential to not only reduce massive waste government waste, but also restore trust in the institutions that shape our nation’s future.

77 Days to Take Back America

As the prayers and repentance of the “40 Days to Save America” campaign concluded, we launched the next phase: “77 Days to Take Back America.” This movement, spanning from Election Day to Inauguration Day, is a critical window of opportunity to align America with God’s divine purpose.

These 77 days are a spiritual battlefield in which the forces of good and evil are clashing to determine the fate of America. Begley recently urged believers to remain vigilant in prayer and fasting. “This isn’t just about politics,” he said. “It’s about reclaiming America’s soul for God’s glory.”

The “77 Days” campaign is as much about revival as political restoration. As the nation continues in prayer, fasting and repentance, faith leaders are calling for unity, wisdom and discernment as America prepares for this crucial transition. Together, we can see a revival that changes the course of history.

As we observe the seismic shifts occurring in Washington, D.C., President Trump’s bold cabinet selections stand as a clear signal of his determination to dismantle entrenched bureaucracy and usher in an era of transformative reform.

These choices, spanning the political spectrum, reveal a deliberate strategy to prioritize loyalty, innovation and accountability over adherence to tradition. In my view, this is exactly the kind of disruption America needs to realign governance with the will of the people.

From the Pentagon to health services, Trump’s nominees reflect his vision for a government that challenges the status quo and delivers real results. Among the standout picks are Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard and Sen. Marco Rubio. They and many others have been selected for their ability to disrupt entrenched norms and bring bold leadership to their respective roles.

Gabbard, nominated for Director of National Intelligence, is a former Democratic congresswoman and Army Reserve officer whose bipartisan approach and advocacy for transparency make her a compelling choice. While her anti-war stance and past meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have drawn criticism, her independence resonates with Trump’s disruptive agenda and commitment to reforming the intelligence community.

Kennedy, Trump’s pick for Health and Human Services Secretary, has sparked debate over his vaccine skepticism, but his record as an environmental advocate and his pledge to overhaul agencies like the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control have energized Trump’s base. Kennedy’s position that regulatory agencies should serve the people, not corporate interests, underscores the administration’s push for accountability in health care governance.

Rubio, a senator since 2011, is a traditional foreign policy hawk, building his political identity on upending autocratic governments in the Middle East to Latin America to Asia. Recently, he has become increasingly aligned with Trump, pledging to reverse a lack of respect for the United States with Trump’s “America First” approach.

These selections represent Trump’s commitment to reshaping the federal government into an institution that works for the people, not entrenched interests. I believe these appointments mark a pivotal step in restoring accountability, efficiency and bold leadership to Washington.

In “The Trump Code,” I wrote that President Trump’s reelection would not just be a political victory, but a prophetic sign that God’s hand of protection is still on America. Trump’s rejection of globalist agendas like the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset and the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda offers America a chance to realign itself with God’s will.

In an open letter to President Trump shortly before the election, I called on him to lead this charge, to be a modern-day king of Nineveh, urging Americans to return to God in prayer, repentance and revival.

Amazingly, President Trump sent me a letter Nov. 7, saying,

Thank you for your very thoughtful letter and for sharing a copy of your book. Your continued support and prayers mean a great deal to me and my family. Our Nation is strong because of hard-working patriots like you who believe in—and defend—the great American ideals of faith, family, community and country first. Know that I will never stop fighting for the America you and I cherish. May God continue to bless you.

In the letter I sent to President Trump, I urged him to make a bold declaration in his Inaugural Address—a call for national prayer and repentance. This is our “Nineveh Moment” that Billy Graham foresaw. If we humble ourselves, seek God’s guidance and turn from our wicked ways, I believe He will heal our land. I’ve since learned that he may do this in an Oval Office address to the nation. Let’s keep this in prayer.

Dreaming Big Again

The phrase “Dream Big Again” embodies the heart of this movement. It’s a rallying cry for our nation to reject fear, embrace faith and trust in God’s promises. From dismantling bureaucracy to restoring moral clarity, America stands on the brink of prophetic transformation.

This is a time for action. Let us unite in prayer, fasting and repentance, trusting God to lead us into a historic revival. Just as the people of Nineveh responded to Jonah’s warning and were spared from destruction, we too have the opportunity to witness God’s hand move mightily in our nation’s destiny. This is our Nineveh Moment—a divine reprieve and a chance to reclaim America for His glory.
