A Prophetic Vision of Principalities Over Ukraine

A frustrated Russian President Vladimir Putin is threatening nuclear action against the west even as peace talks get underway at the Belarus border. Meanwhile, anti-war protests are raging in the nations as the free world stands in solidarity with Ukraine and Ukraine is asking urgently to join the European Union.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky remains defiant while Russian President Vladimir Putin remains proud. I heard the Lord say, “Pride comes before the fall.”

We need to pray for the fall of this megalomaniacal dictator’s plans to reestablish the Soviet Union before he destroys the nation he claims to love. This, certainly, is not a war motivated by love but by power. The Russian ruble has plunged in value and the people of Russia, who appear largely against the war, are suffering at the hand of a leader driven by an antichrist spirit.

While we pray for Ukraine, we must remember also to pray for the people of Russia—and to pray for Putin’s salvation. Scripture says to pray for your enemies (see Matt. 5:44). If we want to maintain our authority in the spirit as intercessors, we need to walk in the Word as well as the Spirit.

Prophetically speaking, we need to understand that Putin’s lust for power will not be satisfied with conquering Ukraine. He will continue to advance, and this could ultimately lead to World War III. While I believe World War III is coming, I do not believe the timing is right.

Listen to the prophetic vision of principalities over Ukraine here. {eoa}

What if You Are Wrong About the Afterlife?

How often have we been convinced about something, and then later discovered we were in error? Mark Twain once said, “We are all ignorant, just about different things.” Thomas Edison stated, “We do not know one-millionth of one percent of anything.”

Why then are most people willing to talk about anything except for the Bible? If we don’t talk about a subject and don’t investigate it, we remain ignorant and uninformed.

Why would we be resistant to spending time researching what the Bible says about our eternal destiny? This is not a subject we can afford to be wrong about. I really don’t know how people today are navigating life and thinking toward death without Jesus Christ. I can tell you that they are probably not doing it very well—even those who appear happy and successful. They still have a void and fear deep down inside them. They are all still afraid of dying.

I’ve met many people over the years who have had real near-death experiences. These people understood that their spirit and soul were very much alive—faced with either eternal bliss, or eternal torment. There are literally thousands of people, from all different walks of life, who have experienced heaven or hell through these near-death experiences. They are too numerous to simply discount as a figment of the imagination or a hallucination.

If you are living your life without God, thinking you’ll just be annihilated or probably go to heaven because you are a pretty good person, you are sadly mistaken. You are on the road to hell. There is no greater mistake than remaining ignorant about what happens when we die. This is one topic we all must be absolutely 100% right about or face extremely dire, horrific consequences as a result. {eoa}

8 Keys to Having a Global Hermeneutic

More and more, there is a demand on the church to have the ability to apply Scripture to the global context. This is because the internet comprehensively connects people throughout the world.

The stories, needs, aspirations, and plight of various people groups come into everyone’s space when they view their mobile phone, computer or watch the news (The devastation inflicted upon Ukraine by Russia should burden the hearts of all believers, irrespective of where they live). Consequently, the shared narrative of the globe should motivate the evangelical church to have a global hermeneutic (By “hermeneutic,” I am referring to the science of biblical interpretation for appropriate application to a particular cultural context.)

For many decades, I have attempted to understand Scripture in light of the kingdom, which is transnational, since God claims all nations and people groups for His purpose (Ps. 2:8-9).

The following are eight keys to having a global hermeneutic:

1. Understand the popular passage in John 3:16 that declares, “God so loved the world.” This is profound since it implies that we need to care for the whole world as God does and not just our nation.

2. Obey the command in Acts 1:8-9, which states that Jesus told believers to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. This means He expects His followers to be cultural anthropologists who could articulate and present the gospel in every culture, context and city.

3. Read the book of Acts. It is not only descriptive but prescriptive when it illustrates how the apostles ministered to the gospel in different ways depending upon the cultural background of their audience. They did so without compromising the essence of the message.

4. Become a broad reader of global geopolitical news and watch documentaries about various cultures.

5. Have conversations and learn from people in your urban context (from different faiths, ethnic backgrounds and global perspectives) regarding religion and politics.

6. Consider going on mission trips or taking an immersion plunge to other countries to study their contexts and cultures.

7. Pray for the world, especially nations and cities, that God has laid upon your heart. This helps to give you His perspective and heart for a specific people group.

8. Extract yourself from your cultural context to correctly interpret and apply the biblical text.

Too often, many Americans read the Bible through the lens of American culture. This negatively affects the proper interpretation of Scripture, drowning out the voice of its original meaning. Thus, reading the Bible through a mere cultural framework can distort one’s interpretation and ensuing application of Scripture. For example, one can erroneously equate the values of a nation with the importance of the kingdom of God.

In conclusion, the good news is that since the mid-20th-century, we have had the greatest opportunity since the first few Christian centuries to understand and unite the global church because of the facility of air travel, wireless communication, social media and the metaverse.

I pray that we will steward this opportunity to become a united force that communicates the mind and heart of God to a lost world. {eoa}

How God Turns Your Impossible Into the Possible

I overheard Mom and Grandma talking about the clothes I had in my tiny closet. It was the middle of the school year.

We didn’t buy clothes except at the beginning of school, but I couldn’t wear any of my dresses, and my shoes were hurting my toes. She and Grandma were having me try on clothes to see if they fit.

I was in the bathroom and heard Mom say to Grandma, “She just keeps gaining weight. She’s in husky sizes. I can’t find anything in girls’ sizes to fit her and women’s sizes don’t work yet. If they fit in the waist, they are way too big in the top. She’s got to stop gaining weight, but it’s like she just can’t stop eating.”

Mom’s voice was a frustrated whisper. Grandma said, “It’s nothing to fret about. Kids have to eat. God gave her a healthy appetite. She can’t help gaining weight. She needs to grow.”

Out of that conversation, I assumed Grandma agreed with Mom that I can’t stop gaining weight. I allowed what I ascertained as truth to begin to take root in me. What else could I do when the two maternal figures in my life agreed? It felt entirely like a truth. I can’t lose weight. It’s impossible for me to lose weight.

Half-Truth

It was true that as a child I couldn’t lose weight. I was not meant to lose weight. I was designed to grow. I did not have the ability to figure out if what my Mom said was true. I certainly never thought it was a lie. When I perceived what Grandma said supported this, it became a solid truth.

The Bible says, “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man [or woman], I did away with childish things” (1 Cor. 13:11, AMP).

I believed Mom. I had evidence to support what she was saying. I was growing, gaining weight and needing larger size clothes. I wasn’t fat, but I was at least a size larger than most girls in my class. It became a solid belief of mine that it was impossible for me to lose weight.

Identifying Lies

When I became an adult, I still believed this lie because I saw it happen time and time again. I’d go on a diet and lose 100 pounds only to gain it back when I’d hit the goal because I’d start eating my comfort foods again.

I’d tell myself, “I can’t lose. It’s possible for others, but not for me. It is impossible for me to lose weight.” I had allowed this lie to become a full-blown stronghold in my life. Breaking it was going to take some work.

In 1999, I was in the hospital for a possible mitral valve replacement. The cardiac surgeon waltzed into my room and told me, “You don’t need heart surgery. You need to lose weight. Your heart was never designed to pump blood through a body of your size. You need to lose 100 pounds and keep it off, or you will be dead in five years.”

So, I lost 100 pounds by going on a high-protein diet I’d been on before. Like all the other times, though, I began gaining the weight back after losing it. I kept it off longer, but I began eating sugar-laden foods again. I saw then that the truth is it’s impossible for me to lose weight if I eat foods that contain processed sugar.

Dying Sweetly

For many years, I wallowed in this place of “losing weight is impossible.” Rooted in my childhood, this belief went deep and stayed until God brought me face to face with my problem.

When God revealed to me that I was a sugar addict, I knew the only way to get free from addiction is to stop indulging in it. Every time I’d go on a diet where I gave up sugar and bread, I could lose weight. I just never saw it as something I’d have to do for the rest of my life. Understanding that felt like a tremendous weight was lifted from me, but in its place was the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

God knew my tendencies. He knew my biggest weakness. He revealed it to me early, so I would not have to suffer through years of super morbid obesity. He was not trying to be mean to me by telling me not to eat sugar. He was trying to keep me from the one thing which would kill me quicker than anything else. I just didn’t want to listen to the cure for my problem.

Addressing the Stronghold

This stronghold of I can’t lose weight had become a negative prophecy which the evil one repeated to me often.

When I came to the end of myself and totally surrendered to what God had been telling me, my life began to transform. The switch in my brain happened in an instant the moment I recognized the truth: I can lose weight if I stop eating sugar.

What is impossible for me to do is only possible if I rely on the God of the impossible. He is my God! {eoa}

Have You Ever Experienced the Absence of God?

We live in a world that has become increasingly hostile to Christianity, the Bible and anything defined by God as morally pure, innocent and good. There has been an attack on the Word of God and Christianity since the church began.

The goal by ungodly people is to remove all mention of Jesus Christ and the Bible from our lives. Here in America, we have not suffered like our brothers and sisters in other nations, but the persecution in this country is definitely increasing. During the Tribulation, the world will experience just a taste of what it will be like to have no godly influence in the earth.

Have you ever experienced the absence of God? It is far worse than words can describe. Every day, we take for granted the good we experience in this life. We can move and walk because the blessing of health comes from God. Every breath we take also comes from God. The sunshine, the fresh air, relationships with people we love, sleep, food, flowers, our pets and more are all possible because of the goodness of God.

I actually experienced a small piece of a world that exists right now, down deep in the earth, that is completely absent of God and His influence. I spent 23 Minutes in Hell. It is far worse than words can describe.

The absence of God is almost impossible to fully grasp because of the good life we have here. The good we experience is because God allows us to enjoy it while we are here on the earth.

However, for the people who say they want nothing to do with God, there is a place prepared that has nothing to do with His goodness. God is in all places and sees all; however, none of His goodness exists in hell. Sadly, there are many who will find out what it truly feels like to experience the absence of God because of their continued rejection of Jesus Christ. {eoa}

Phone-a-Prophet? It’s Not So Far-Fetched

In a time when most prophets keep their personal phone numbers private, Tom Stamman willingly gives his out, keeping in touch with over 4,500 people. He does more than 350 prophetic meetings a year, which might qualify him to be the most traveled prophet in America.

But Stamman’s travels have a purpose. In order to support his city of Refuge in Honduras with 77 buildings, a welding college, a church, 85 orphans, 110 employees and recently rescuing two girls from sex trafficking, he needs to keep in touch with people. But added on top of this, he has ordained over 800 people into ministry.

Everywhere he travels, he gives the opportunity for everyone in the meeting to receive a prophecy. He also offers seminars in equipping people to hear God and prophesy. Yet his motivation is to pursue the presence of God and support all the children under his watch and care.

Stamman’s wife, Teresa, is a doctor overseeing the medical care and serves as the head of operations for the City of Refuge. Part of the way God inspired the couple to start an orphanage came from a dream Teresa received from the Lord. Before committing her life to Christ, she told God, “Show me You are real!”

God answered powerfully! She had a dream of uniformed children marching like little soldiers, and she asked God what it meant.

The Lord said, “These are the future generations in the world, and if we don’t take care of that generation, it will be lost.” She then had a vision of a huge ticking clock going very fast. She asked the Lord for the meaning of the visions and He replied, saying, “Time is running out—the clock is ticking!” {eoa}

Mario Murillo, Hank Kunneman Prophesy Huge Movement of God Coming Soon

Spiritual warriors Mario Murillo and Hank Kunneman both believe God is getting ready to move in a huge way, and it starts April 21-22 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Murillo says Awaken Oklahoma, set for the Mabee Center on the campus of Oral Roberts University, will be the spark for “something to fall,” so believers need to prepare themselves for a mighty move of God.

“Tulsa is a reset button,” Murillo says. “If any of you are thinking of missing that event or you don’t understand that God spoke to me about this, listen up. God told me to go and rent the Mabee Center—8,000 seats—for two nights. A miracle service will take place the second night. It’s definitely a reset button. I know I’m not going to be the same after that.”

Kunneman, the senior pastor of Lord of Hosts Church in Omaha, Nebraska and founder of One Voice Ministries, says he had a prophetic vision years ago about the event that is now coming to pass.

“I saw the heavens, and I could see that on the left side there were some angels that had been part of the great movements of Kenneth Hagin and Oral Roberts,” he says. “And they were being held back. I was questioning why they were being held back. Then I saw something on the right and God said there are ones that must come to bring a healing movement to the earth and to the United States. But they were being held back, too. Then I saw this chained, hideous, evil spirit that was going up and down the streets of Tulsa, bragging how he was going to control and dry up the oil and that he was going to divide the churches.

“As I have been praying about this Tulsa event, I know it’s called the Mabee Center, but the Spirit of the Lord saw it differently,” Kunneman says. “He put the word ‘maybe’ in front of me, with a question mark. We have a choice. I really believe this is a compelling from the spirit of God. Do you really want this reset? Do you really want what God is going to do?

“You can send God’s Word through a camera lens, but there is something about Luke 5, getting into the room where the power of the Lord is and present,” he adds. “Then you take that into your communities. That’s what God wants to do in Tulsa. I believe it’s not going to be ‘maybe’ with a question mark, but ‘maybe’ with an exclamation point. God is going to start something there that is so key for the healing of our nation and a move of God that is going to be birthed. We’re going to break the power of that spirit (the chained, hideous spirit).”

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and radio talk show host, has committed to his participation in Awaken Oklahoma. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor and other federal representatives will also attend the event.

Kingdom Economics: Greater Things Are Coming for God’s Children

U.S. inflation is the highest in 40 years. February inflation for producers is 10% per year, while consumer inflation is 7.9%.

Sustained higher general price increases are vicious. Inflation acts like a tax on the poor and middle class while the rich are often able to mitigate its impacts. People with fixed incomes, such as the poor and elderly, are particularly vulnerable.

Inflation could also be dangerous for an economy. Expectations can cause a cycle of ever-increasing inflation. If prices are expected to be higher tomorrow, consumers will buy today, which pushes today’s prices higher, causing higher price expectations for tomorrow. The cycle continues until inflationary expectations are broken. Left uncontrolled inflation can destroy economies. In 1990, inflation in Zimbabwe reached 557% per year.

To reduce inflation, the Federal Reserve must reduce the money supply. It has indicated that it will increase interest rates (via the federal funds rate) and reduce its balance sheet. Unfortunately, any reduction in the money supply will also slow the economy.

At the last meeting, the Fed raised the federal funds rate by %. The Fed projects that the federal funds rate will be 1.9% and the personal consumption expenditure (PCE) inflation rate 4.3% by the end of the year. They also announced that they will begin reducing their nearly $9 trillion balance sheet in future meetings.

Many argue that the Federal Reserve is too timid in fighting inflation. According to Dr. Larry Summers, the central bank begins to break inflationary expectations when the federal funds rate is about 5% above inflation. Using this rationale, the current rate should be 9.3%. When fighting 1980s inflation, the federal funds rate hit 20%.

A dovish attitude in fighting inflation increases the odds of a hard landing. Specifically, that higher inflation and/or catch-up actions by the central bank will cause a recession. Based on current conditions, I expect greater inflation and a stagnant economy, aka stagflation.

But members of the kingdom are different. The Lord didn’t promise us that we can avoid life’s problems, but He did promise that we can overcome. He promised us peace in times of fear and anxiety, hope in times of despair, protection in times of danger and abundance in times of scarcity.

The enemy has been active. Inflation steals purchasing power as our dollar buys less and less. War, crime and disease cut lives short. Many of today’s leaders attempt to destroy our freedoms, liberties and Judeo-Christian traditions. But thanks be to God, Jesus came to give us an abundant life. He is active today as our Good Shepherd to patiently lead, guide and protect us through these troubling times to victory.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd” (John 10:10-11a, NASB 2020).

The enemy attempts to convince us that more calamity, despair, anxiety and death are coming. But we know differently. We are sons and daughters of God. We overcome because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. We know the Lord’s voice, and we follow Him.

“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore, they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God” (1 John 4:4-6, NASB 2020).

The enemy also attempts to convince us that we are outnumbered. Media usually highlight the worst of humanity. Many people that you will never see on the news are caring, loving and compassionate. Many are strong believers full of faith.

“And he said, ‘Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are greater than those who are with them'” (2 Kings 6:16, NASB 2020).

As victorious citizens of the kingdom of God, greater is coming. Greater righteousness, peace, joy, abundance, love, commitment, fruit, anointing and power. Greater is coming because our God is greater. Let us use this time to glorify our Father, to bless others and expand the kingdom. {eoa}

R.T. Kendall: The Devil Is Going to Hell

“We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).

“But the evil spirit answered them, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?'” (Acts 19:15).

Would you like to be known in hell? I would. And I will tell you why. It would mean that I am a threat to the satanic world. I would love to be a threat to the satanic world. I would far prefer to be famous in hell than being famous on earth, as I said in my book Popular in Heaven, Famous in Hell (Charisma House). I would be flattered to think that I really am a threat to the devil. That would mean that my ministry worries the devil, that I am doing so much good for God that Satan is nervous about me; that I am threatening his interests. Of course, he knows about all of us who are Christians. But that does not mean that all of us are necessarily a threat to him. I doubt that I am a threat to him, but I hope that I might be before I go to heaven.

Satan is ugly. All that he does is ugly. One of his weapons is to make you afraid. Making people afraid is what he does. Spreading terror is his goal. God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Tim.1:7), but Satan will try to engender fear in you and me if he can.

You do not need to be afraid of the devil. A healthy respect? Yes. But do not be afraid of him. That is what he wants!

Satanic fear is the worst kind of fear there is. He wants you to be afraid of death. He wants you to be afraid of people. He wants you to be afraid of the future. He wants you to worry about the past. He wants you to take normal fears, such as being afraid of an approaching hurricane, caution when crossing a street, anxiety while awaiting the results of an examination, a plane falling—or a virus—and exaggerate them. As I said, making people afraid is what he does.

One thing we should know about the devil up front: the devil is scared far, far more than you and I will ever be. He knows his end—punishment for ever and ever in the lake of fire:

“And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Rev. 20:10).

When Jesus began healing people and casting out demons, the evil spirits cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” (Matt. 8:29). We learn from this that the demons know who Jesus is—even if the world doesn’t! The devil not only believes there is a God (James 2:19), but that Jesus is the Son of God! We also learn from this that the devil knows his ultimate destiny—in everlasting hell. Indeed, he is angry, he is full of fear and the desire for vengeance because “he knows that his time is short” (). What intensifies Satan’s fear and anger is that we overcome “by the blood of the Lamb” (Rev. 12:11). This points yet again to the cross and the blood of Jesus—the constant never-out-of-sight reminder that Satan was defeated by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. {eoa}

How You Can Discern ‘Evil-Empowered’ Tongues and Avoid Them

While a student at filmmaking school I was so busy that I couldn’t take phone calls for a few weeks. On my phone during that time was a voice message from someone I know who does not currently serve the Lord.

The message went on for a minute in a spiritual language that was not beautiful. I immediately discerned a false spirit. The clicks and the clacks were annoying to my ear. The message then switched to English and had a number of vulgarities in it I will not repeat nor put on the computer screen.

Unfortunately, the individual leaving the message on my phone has become part of a satanic motorcycle “cult.” Its leader, in one way or another, influences the members of the cult to speak in false tongues. Some of their constituents attribute this to Eastern religions such as Hinduism while others profess satanism.

The satanism the “cult” professes is not modern-day satanism espoused by the late Anton La Vey that you are your own god and that the rituals and ceremonies such as black masses are worship of self—represented in Satan. But the false tongues emerged from worshipping the devil as a spiritual being.

As Christians we know greater is He (Jesus), who is in us than he (the devil) who is in the world as Jesus has overcome the world and evil systems (John 15:33, 1 John 4:4). As Christians we know the baptism with the Holy Spirit equips us to be better witnesses for Jesus everywhere we go. The spiritual prayer language that is part of it edifies us, drawing us closer to God as we pray and worship Him with the gift of tongues. It is a beautiful and incredible spiritual gift from God that is available for all who call on the name of the Lord unlike evil tongues.

The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), so he counterfeits spiritual gifts. As an imposter, the enemy distorts and perverts spiritual gifts, making them glorify man or point people to false gods and demonic practices. Historically, the Oracle at Delphi gave false prophecies and spoke in counterfeit tongues. Plato even wrote about people speaking in ecstatic language needing interpretation. Early Mormonism included the practice of some form of laying on of hands and spiritual languages. Yet the source of any of these was not the Holy Spirit. They were false spirits, lying and deceptive spirits, just like the satanic tongues I mentioned above.

Perhaps someone reading this came to Christ but left a religion or cult practicing some form of evil empowered tongues. You may have had times where you spoke in false tongues when you were part of them, but you are now desiring the fullness of the Holy Spirit in Christ. I want to encourage you that you are redeemed, you are a child of God. Continue building your relationship with Jesus.

But perhaps you have questions about the baptism with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. Maybe you have an aversion to it because of prior experience yet you want more of God in your life. Here’s how to know the evil tongues are broken off and that you will receive the true, beautiful and incredible spiritual prayer language to worship Jesus and be a Spirit empowered witness for Him:

Start playing your favorite worship music and spend time in surrender to Jesus. Take as much time as you need. Here are steps to renouncing evil tongues and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Pray these prayers out loud.

Repent: “Jesus, here I am. I surrender to You. Will You forgive me of my sins? I agree with Your Word and turn my heart, mind, will, emotions and everything to You. I am sorry for my sin, and I turn to You in repentance.”

Renounce: “As I surrender to You, in the name of Jesus I renounce my sins, I renounce all evil. In the Name of Jesus I renounce involvement in the cult and speaking in evil tongues. In the all powerful Name of Jesus, I renounce________ (name the sins/evil practices).

Renew: “I recommit my life to You. Jesus is Lord, Jesus is King and ruler of my life. I worship You alone.”

Refresh: “Will You fill me with Your precious Holy Spirit? I accept the gift and power of the Holy Spirit. By faith I receive Your filling. Thank You Jesus for being the baptizer with the Holy Spirit and filling me up.”

Release: As you worship Jesus, when syllables or words you have never heard before come to your mind, whether you see it in my mind or hear it in your spiritual ears, speak them out, over and over. More words will flow. You can pray this, “Jesus, I release my tongue to You, and I partner with the Holy Spirit. As You touch me, I speak praises to You. In Jesus’ name, I bless You … (begin speaking in this amazing gift as you speak out the syllables, words or phrases He has given you in the language you’ve never heard or spoken in before. Continue repeating and releasing more words for however long He works in you.

Rejoice: Give Him thanks and praise, adoring and being grateful to Him. Then spend time with Jesus every day, praying and worshipping Him and praying in the incredible spiritual gift of tongues.
