Christian Teacher Fired for Refusing to Participate in ‘Lies From the Devil’

Backed into a corner, Christian teacher Jessica Tapia faced a moral dilemma—and knew she just couldn’t compromise.

And for that, she was fired. Plain and simple.

Tapia, a teacher in the Jurupa Unified School District in Southern California, told Fox News Digital that she refused to comply with the district’s gender policies, which instructed her not only to hide students’ gender transitions from parents but also to keep them in the dark through lying.

“I knew immediately, like in my gut, in my heart, in my soul, that there was a decision I had to make because, you know, these two things were totally butting heads,” Tapia told Fox News Digital. “I essentially had to pick one.

“Am I going to obey the district in the directive that are not lining up with … my own beliefs, convictions and faith?” she asked. “Or am I going to stay true …, choose my faith, choose to be obedient to … the way the Lord has called me to live. And so it was crazy to be in the position where I realized that I couldn’t be a Christian and a teacher.”

In January, Tapia received a notice on letterhead from Superintendent Trenton Hansen’s office that say they couldn’t accommodate Tapia’s Christian beliefs, which prohibited her from “withholding information on gender transitions from kids’ parents.”

“Consequently, the District will release you from your employment effective at the end of the day on Jan. 31, 2023,” the statement read. “Based on your religious beliefs, you cannot be dishonest with parents … If asked about a student’s gender identity by a parent, you cannot refer the parent to a counselor, defer the inquiry and suggest they speak with a student …, or otherwise deflect the parent’s inquiry.” The letter was signed by assistant superintendent of human resources Daniel Brooks.

Tapia says the whole situation comes directly from the enemy.

“I don’t believe in my faith that that’s how God’s calling us to love by affirming those lies and confusion,” Tapia said. “I believe firmly that God created man and woman, and you are who he made you to be. And when someone has confusion about that, I believe that’s lies and confusion from the devil.”

As expected, the school district, in a statement to Fox News Digital, denied that it discriminated against Tapia based on her Christian beliefs. The statement reads:

“The District denies the allegations raised by Ms. Tapia. The District takes seriously its obligation to accommodate its employee’s religious beliefs. Simultaneously, the District is obligated to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including anti-discrimination laws and laws that protect students’ rights to privacy, which are in place to protect the nearly 2,500 employees and 18,000 students we serve. We cannot comment further on personnel matters.”

But when Fox News Digital pressed the school district about the accusation by Tapia that educators should lie to parents about students’ gender identities, it did not directly respond.

“The District is required to comply with all state and federal laws, including the California Education Code which guarantees a student’s right to participate in sex-segregated school activities and to use facilities consistent with the student’s gender identity, regardless of the gender listed on the student’s records,” the district told Fox News Digital. “The District is also obligated to protect a student’s right to privacy which is guaranteed by state and federal antidiscrimination laws and the California Constitution. The District will continue to protect the rights of all students and staff as required by law.”

new cm coverimageTapia intends to sue the school district and has retained an attorney at Pacific Justice Institute.

As a physical education teacher, Tapia also refused to allow “male genitals” in the girls’ locker room, a stance that is in direct opposition with school district policy. {eoa}

Is Jesus Video Game Evangelism or Blasphemy?

Technology has come a long way in the past few years, and the innovation has stretched into all types of industries, many of which have benefited mankind. The video game industry is certainly among them, and here is a new game that could spark intense debate between Christians and non-Christians in the coming months.

Created by Polish game developer SimulaM, the video game “I Am Jesus Christ” is a historical, open-word simulation game where you can, as The Jerusalem Post puts it, “step in to the sandals of the ‘alleged’ Son of God himself and perform miracles, die and get resurrected.”

It also allows the player, as Jesus, to fight Satan and die “horrifically” on the cross.

“Perform amazing miracles, interact with a cast of biblical figures and travel around the Holy Land from Jerusalem to the Galilee,” reads the game’s page on the PC gaming platform Steam.

To watch the promotional trailer for the game, click here.

The game was most recently revealed at an IGN Fan Fest event. It takes players on a journey from the birth of Jesus, through his life and various miracles, all the way until his crucifixion and ultimately his Resurrection.

Some of the miracles players will be able to perform include walking on water, making a stormy sky dissipate, turning water into wine, and dying and resurrecting. There is, according to The Jerusalem Post, an “over-the-top boss battle with Satan.”

To perform these miracles, The Jerusalem Post reports, players need to “keep an eye on their ‘Holy Spirit’ meter, which depletes with each miracles—though, of course, it can be recharged.

The Jerusalem Post reports that many people have commented on social media about the game. While their tone is that of amusement, their comments could very well border on the blasphemous:

  • “Hopefully, no one spoils the ending.”
  • A game 2,000 years in the making.”
  • “When Jesus said he would return, never thought it would be in the form of a video game.”
  • As far as the ending goes, I’m just gonna touch wood, cross my fingers and hope that they nail it.”

“Nail it,” as in Jesus to the cross? You decide.

But then the game could also spark a renewed interest in Jesus and the Bible among Gen Zers, whom many have reportedly run away from the church in America’s culturally charged atmosphere.

One YouTube user refutes any blasphemy claims, saying “This game wasn’t disrespectful in any way and despite the bugs, it clearly has effort put into it.”

“I feel like it was created by a small group who’s just really passionate about Jesus,” Layla said on YouTube.

And The Jerusalem Post’s Aaron Reich wrote: “The game itself isn’t tongue and cheek. Rather, while it may have some unintentional humor—Jesus Christ shrinking to enter a child’s body to cure diseases—the game itself seems to be a serious attempt at spreading the story of Jesus and the New Testament. Each scene included in the game with each miracle is New CM Coveraccompanied by a biblical verse from the New Testament describing it.”

The game’s prologue is already available to play at no cost, while the full game is slated for release sometime in the second quarter of this year. SimulaM is planning more biblically based games, with one centering around the building of Noah’s ark and another other featuring Moses and the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to the promised land. {eoa}

Holy Spirit Stirs Student Hearts at Samford University

A movement of the Holy Spirit on the campus of Samford University entered its third day on Saturday, and it has shown little sign of stopping.

A private Christian school on the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama, Samford, much like Asbury University, Lee University and others, has seen an outpouring this week. On Friday morning, Kevin Black, assistant to the school’s president, posted an email on social media from President Beck A. Taylor that the “spontaneous, organic, student-led worship” had been going on for 48 hours in the school’s Reid Chapel.

Taylor told Tab Media Group’s Jennifer Rash in an interview that the Holy Spirit has definitely been moving through the students of the Baptist-based school.

“We’ve been hearing about Asbury University for more than a week, where the spirit is moving in unscripted ways to celebrate Jesus,” Taylor says. “A group of our students earlier this week got together and said, why can’t it happen here?

“That group of students began to pray diligently for the Holy Spirit’s stirring on this campus. Sometime on Wednesday afternoon, a small group of students began to pray in Reid Chapel for just that. More than 48 hours later, we have had a continuous praise and worship service going on here at Samford.”

Taylor says he had an opportunity Friday to visit with those students for an extended period of time to ask them what was stirring in their hearts to gather at Reid Chapel. Since it began Wednesday, hundreds of students have congregated at the chapel, and it has continued around the clock. Taylor says the doors have not closed.

“You’ll be happy to know that all of them said that God was present, that Jesus was being honored in worship, in prayer and Scripture reading and preaching, and that students were very serious about it, thinking about their life of faith,” he says. “We’re very prayerful, we’re very humbled and excited about what the Lord is doing here at Samford.”

Taylor says at no time has the student count in the chapel dipped below 50 to 75 students since the worship began Wednesday, and many times, it has seen between 200 and 300.

After an off-campus board meeting Thursday, Taylor says he was greeted by “several hundred students singing and praying.”

new cm coverimage“As we allow the Spirit to move among us, let’s resist the temptation to label what’s happening, or to put it into some kind of a neat box. I’m convinced that God is doing a new thing here, and all we’re asked to do is to remain faithful to God’s calling,” Taylor says.

“Our theme this year is Hope. Our hope can be found in the person and work of Jesus Christ,” he continues. “As we worship Jesus today, let’s allow hope to abound in us so that we can spread God’s hope throughout this campus and the world. Keep praying for Samford. God is up to something.” {eoa}

The Tools to Help Young Men Strengthen Their Muscles of Faith

While both male and female students were impacted by the numerous negative effects of COVID, Trail Life USA CEO Mark Hancock says boys were hit particularly hard.

It is traditionally perceived that girls learn faster than boys, and Hancock says the pandemic set boys back even further both academically and spiritually.

“Boys and girls are different. And let’s face it, teaching girls is easier,” Hancock says. “They are less active and noisy, they are more generally compliant, and they are better suited to listen attentively, reflect competently and respond correctly when asked to do what they are told.

“Boys were designed by their Creator to be doers. They struggle when required to sit down, be quiet and pay attention for prolonged periods of time. Boys need action and purpose. Hands-on problem solving, action, outdoor exploration and adventure make men out of boys because that is how boys grow—through activity and experience.”

The New York Post recently published a piece titled “Why American boys are failing at school—and men are losing in life.” And, the 2020 American Family Survey shows a comparable trend in churches where learning approaches are different. According to the survey, only 36% of parents believe churches are serving their sons well.

“Adam was not created in the beauty and security of the Garden of Eden,” Hancock says. “He was created in the wild, and placed in the garden with a mission. He was to go and ‘fill the earth and subdue it.’ God made man to explore, conquer, lead, face dangers and overcome obstacles with the tools, heart and power God instilled in him as a man.”

That where Hancock says Trail Life comes in. The organization is not only geared toward character development for young men, it’s goal is to produce godly and responsible husbands, fathers and citizens—something that is sorely lacking in today’s American culture.

“We are teaching boys to fulfill God’s purpose and obey His commands each time we put them in a situation where they must solve problems and overcome the difficulties life throws at them,” Hancock says. “Whether a rock wall or a pandemic, boys grow and learn through challenge and conquest.

new cm coverimage“The same principles apply to developing character and strong faith in Christ. Reading and hearing about God are important, but the muscles of faith are strengthened through action. James 2:17 states, ‘Faith without works is dead.’ As boys experience God through service and adventure, as they rub shoulders with mentors, as they face challenges and pray and see answers, faith becomes personal. Instead of knowing intellectually about God, boys come to actively know God.”

Trail Life USA motivates young men to grow on a personal level to become role models and leaders among their peers. It’s something that Hancock says young men today aren’t getting in a traditional classroom setting.

“There is a time for a book and a desk, and there is time for experience and adventure,” he says. {eoa}

GenZers Preach, Prophesy to Spark Revival in Texas High Schools

Many, even in the Christian world, would like to give the impression that today’s generation of youth, Gen Z, is running away from God. They like to paint a picture that there is little hope for the future of America.

Studies, surveys and polls would suggest that GenZers are the first truly “post-Christian” generation.

The people who conducted the studies and surveys obviously have not spoken with the youth at New Life Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. New Life Senior Pastor Mike Fehlauer and Youth Pastor Mario Carrete say the young people in that city are “truly on fire” for God, much like what is now taking place on college campuses like Asbury University in Kentucky and Lee University in Tennessee.

Since 2022, the youth group at New Life has established Bible clubs at 20 different high schools in the Corpus Christi Bay area. And, with very little pushback from school administration, students have been bringing the gospel to those schools for a year now.

Additionally, college-age youth have been spreading the Good News of Jesus on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for the past few years through massive community outreach.

“We’re seeing a mighty move of God outside of our four walls, it’s amazing,” Fehlauer says. “We’ve been watching what’s been happening at Asbury and other places, and we’re seeing true revival at those places. It’s incredible and we pray that it continues.

“As for us, we’ve got young people preaching and praying for the sick, ministering the sick. We’ve got student-led preaching and altar calls in numerous schools. They’re not just doing Bible study, and the schools are allowing this to happen.

“There has to be a spirit of repentance, and we’re seeing that a lot among our youth and the youth that are being touched by this ministry,” Fehlauer says. “But it’s not about us. This is only happening because the Holy Spirit has opened the hearts of these kids and you’re seeing true brokenness.”

The student-led services don’t take place during school hours, but they are held on school grounds before classes begin, at lunchtime and after school.

When Carrete took over as youth director at New Life Church in 2019, he said the Lord spoke to him and gave him a vision about the trials and tribulations of today’s youth. A Lifeway Research study revealed in 2019 that 66% of American young adults who attended a protestant church regularly for at least a year as a teenager say they also dropped out for at least a year between the ages of 18 to 22.

“The Holy Spirit dropped a picture on me of what is happening to these kids,” Carrete says. “You look at the percentage of students who fall away from the faith, and it really bothered me, especially as I was walking into youth ministry.

“The Holy Spirit told me that these kids are being fattened up like cattle, like sheep,” Carrete says. “They are being fattened up on the word, but there’s no other avenue for them other than weekly youth group. When they graduate, they are sent to the slaughter. It’s one of the hardest times in life for teens to navigate.

“These Bible clubs give them an avenue to carry on. It helps them to be bold with their faith and to exercise it with enthusiasm and gratitude.”

Jorge Garcia of West Oso High School says the boldness students have been showing for Christ has been “nothing less than amazing.”

“Students are giving their lives to Christ because of their obeidence,” Garcia says. “Boldness in the Holy Spirit is here already and will grow only as we move the heart of God in our schools. It’s an absolute honor to be leading the West Oso Bible Club, and, not just leading the students, but the teachers, staff and administrators, too.”

The Bible clubs go by two different names—Fellowship of Christian Students and Ambassadors of Christ.

When the New Life Youth Group came up with the idea of the Bible clubs, Carrete says, they realize there might be some pushback from the school administrations. But because they allow other before-school and after-school clubs, administrations didn’t make a huge fuss about a Christian-based club taking place at their school.

“The second I gave our kids the go-ahead, there was electricity in the room. They were excited,” Carrete says. “Four Bible clubs were birthed from that first night. The schools have been fairly agreeable, and we’re legally allowed to have this group because we’re not forcing it on anyone. We’ve continued to add more clubs to more schools, and we’re encouraging kids to spread the word about them.”

“Having a community where people can freely express who Jesus is in such a public setting … that shows there is an extreme hunger for God in education,” says Frances Monayao, a student at Veterans Memorial High School. “The Lord is taking back His city of Corpus Christi, and it starts with the schools.”

Carrete says the Bible clubs have made a huge impact on each school and in the community. With students leading the way, Carrete sees their kids preaching the Word of God and supernatural things are happening.

The students who attend the Bible club events have not only accepted the supernatural, but they have opened their hearts to it.

new cm coverimage“We’ve been seeing Joel 2 fulfilled,” Carrete says. “We are seeing special impartation for the youth to preach and prophesy. Teens, both boys and girls, together are making this work. Scripture says that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside each one of us, and these kids are no exception. Through the Holy Spirit they lay hands on the sick. During the services, they walk up to people who have pain and pray for them. I haven’t preached one word in these club outings, but I’ve never experienced anything like it. These kids are amazing.”

Recent revival has not been restricted to college campuses. May the Holy Spirit continue to work in today’s youth! {eoa}

But God: Injured Infant Miraculously Healed After Faith-Filled Prayer

With her infant child laying severely injured in a Corpus Christi hospital room, single mother Britany Rene Garza knew all she could count on was prayer and God’s healing power.

Her 3-month-old, Saveah, was injured in an accident when someone knocked over her stroller. After being taken to the emergency room at a nearby hospital, Saveah went into a seizure and was transferred to Driscoll Children’s Hospital, where an initial scan revealed bleeding and severe bruising on the baby’s brain.

She also suffered a broken clavicle and two broken ribs in the fall. Saveah’s injuries left Britany Rene in a state of panic, but she knew immediately what she must do: pray, and get others to pray for her baby’s life.

“I was definitely in shock and had severe goosebumps everywhere because it was crazy unbelievable,” Britany Rene said. “I was upset and cried a lot.

The mother texted a friend, Adrienne, at New Life Church, and it so happened Adrienne was there with her daughters for Sunday night youth group. Adrienne informed the youth pastor, Mario Carrete, of what happened, and asked if Carrete could come to the hospital to pray for the injured child.

“When we got there and we finally met up with the mother, she was very emotional and that’s completely understandable,” Carrete says. “It was only me, the mother and the friend, and the friend’s daughter. I remember Pastor Mike (Fehlauer) telling me that when I did these hospital visits, it was my responsibility to be the spiritual stability, and I took that very seriously.

“I told them that we were going to pray, and what we were going to pray about. I said that we were going to pray by the blood and stripes of Jesus that she will be healed and that she would be discharged the next day.

“I’ve seen God heal people instantly, and we prayed in faith that she would be. As it turns out,  that’s exactly what happened, praise God.”

When Carrete received a phone call the next morning from the mother’s friend, the miraculous had taken place.

“The friend told me, ‘the doctors don’t know what happened, but they did a scan on the baby this morning and they couldn’t find any bleeding or swelling in her brain,'” Carrete said. “It’s as if it never happened. They ended up discharging her before lunch.

“But the doctors were still thinking, even if her head was healed, she still has a fractured collar bone and ribs, so they wanted to follow up with her in three days. They wanted to do a scan of her brain again and put a cast on her clavicle and treat her ribs.

“But once again, after another scan, they couldn’t find anything. They rescanned her clavicle and ribs, and nothing. They couldn’t find any sign of a break. Again, it was as if nothing ever happened.”

The miracles didn’t cease for the mother and child. Prior to the accident, Carrete said, Saveah had developed a metabolism problem and could not gain weight. By the time she came back for her final scan three days after the accident, she had gained four pounds.

From that day forward, Saveah has been a perfectly healthy baby.

“I had never seen anything like it,” Britany Rene said. “When I learned of the severity of her injuries, I was broken. I was almost angry because I was like, ‘why my daughter?’ I knew that people were praying, though. And when we prayed at the hospital, it was a very quiet moment of peace I felt.

New CM Cover“I believe in Jesus and love the Lord. I’m in shock, but I believe it because it’s God. When I found out she was ok, that was what led us back to the church.”

“Tell me that God doesn’t still do miracles,” Carrete said. “There’s no rhyme or reason for what happened other than it was God. I’m so happy for Britany Rene and so thrilled that Saveah is healed from that terrible accident. It’s amazing!” {eoa}

Fanning the Asbury Revival Flame: ‘There Must Be Brokenness and Repentance’

Pastor Todd Smith knows a little bit about how God can keep a revival going. This month, Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville, Georgia, will celebrate its fifth year of the North Georgia Revival, a move of God that has been going strong since 2018.

Mike Felhlauer is also familiar with God’s presence in his church. The pastor at New Life Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, has witnessed a powerful move of the spirit in his church since 2018.

And both Smith and Fehlauer have some encouraging advice for the people at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, who have seen an incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit happening in their chapel since last Wednesday. The school’s newspaper, The Asbury Collegian, reported that on opening night, at least 100 people fell to their knees and bowed at the altar.

And the move of God hasn’t stopped.

“It’s a beautiful thing that is happening at Asbury,” says Smith, whose church has seen 30,000 baptisms during its Sunday night services since 2018 and will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Feb. 19. “There has to be brokenness and contrition and repentance for such a move of God to come. That looks like what has been demonstrated there and it’s continuing right now. But the moment prayer and brokenness is no longer a priority, then the fire diminishes and He pulls out. We must keep seeking after the face of God.

“We all must stay and remain broken before the Lord. The presence of the Lord increases the glory of the Lord and it continues to intensify. The power of the Lord is in our baptismal waters, and it has created miracles.”

Prayer, he added, is “what fuels revival—that and brokenness.”

“Those elements are the oxygen for revival,” he says.

Fehlauer agrees with Smith’s assessment 100%. As a student at Nazarene University in the 1980s, he remembers hearing about and reading about revival at Asbury University in 1970.

“It was amazing what happened back then and it’s amazing what is going on right now,” Fehlauer said.

Smith says individuals have been healed of cancers, tumors have disappeared and legally blind eyes have been opened in the baptismal waters at Christ Fellowship. In addition, Smith says people have been freed from lifelong addictions to drugs, alcohol, pornography and homosexuality.

“These bondages are being drowned in the waters on our altar, but it has nothing to do with any of us,” Smith says. “Everyone who goes in is encountering the Lord in the water. He just suffocates, obliterates these strongholds and evicts the trespasser.

“And this is not your typical revival led by a personality. God’s presence is driven by a move of the Spirit, and it’s been that way for five years. In all honesty, we want to remain nameless and faceless. We’re not attaching this to any ministry. This is all led by local pastors and nobody else is getting the glory except for God.”

Fehlauer says New Life Church in Corpus Christi saw 837 baptisms last year and that he himself was involved in only three. In fact, he says, the Holy Spirit has empowered other members of the staff and the church to be God’s hands in the miracles that they are witnessing.

Fehlauer says that the revival that is happening right now at Asbury University just is “part of God’s plan” and that we’re about to see it accelerate.

new cm coverimage“God is starting revival fires all around the country,” Fehlauer says. “The pockets of revival become a big wave. It’s awesome. As far as when these special meetings are over, students need to continue to walk in that humility and that place of complete surrender.

“If the finished work of the cross will continue to be central for every part of their lives, if they will take the revival fires they have and not let those fires go out, that will only fan the flame of revival,” Fehlauer says. “They need to share with others what they have seen and experienced. That will keep it going for a long, long time.” {eoa}

Jailed Chinese Pastors Won’t Back Down

Two pastors and a member of a Chinese house church in Shanxi remain in jail after being arrested last August on questionable charges that they had defrauded their congregation through the gathering of tithes and offerings.

The case of preachers Li Jie and Han Xiaodong and church member Wang Qiang has been sent back to the Bureau of Public Safety for “further investigation.”

U.S.-based group China Aid reported on the condition of the three members of Covenant House Church in Shanxi and asked believers to pray for them. Officials for China Aid, which monitors human rights violations in China, say the resumption of the investigation allows police to continue their persecution of church members.

China Aid reported that the two preachers were arrested months ago during an outdoor family camp and that Chinese officials “coerced false confessions from some church members, which led to Qiang’s arrest. All three, the Christian Post reports, were “subsequently charged with ‘fraud’ based on purportedly false testimonies.”

Xiaodong’s wife, Chen Ying, wrote a letter to her imprisoned husband last month and encouraged him to remain steadfast in the faith and to share God’s story with those around him.

“I have recalled all our stories recently. I realized God called both you and me,” Ying wrote in a social media post. “I see God’s amazing grace in our marriage and life; God’s plan will continue. I have experienced the marvelousness and dancing with the Spirit.”

new cm coverimageThe targeting of the house church began after Lie Ji signed a joint statement by hundreds of Chinese pastors and leaders in 2018, declaring their faith. Chinese Christians have come under greater persecution and pressure to demonstrate “unswerving” allegiance to Premier Xi Jinping and to reject the Christian faith, the Christian Post reported.

Many evangelicals in China are being targeted and arrested on charges of belonging to a “cult,” corruption or participating in illegal religious activity. {eoa}

Locke Movie ‘Come Out In Jesus Name’ to Ignite Revival

Pastor Greg Locke says satanism indeed is becoming prominent in the secular world, and he believes the new movie “Come Out in Jesus Name,” produced by Locke Media, will spark a revival through deliverance this country has never seen before.

The lead pastor at Global Vision Bible Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Locke says he and those who participated in making the film “underestimated the hunger and thirst” for deliverance they are now seeing in the body of Christ.

The movie is set to run in as many as 2,000 theaters nationwide on March 13 and 14. You can purchase tickets here.

“This movie is so powerful and so emotional,” Locke said on a recent edition of The Demon Slayer Podcast, adding that he has already viewed the film a few times. “When it ends, you’re like, ‘Isn’t there more?’ Not only are we sharing the gospel, but we’re going to see people repent and believe the gospel in the movie theaters.”

Fathom Events, which helped to promote Jonathan Cahn’s 2022 summer blockbuster film “The Harbingers of Things to Come,” is helping Locke and company to promote “Come Out in the Name of Jesus.”

“Fathom was blown away that so many people are excited about this,” Locke says. “They had someone who runs a Catholic PR firm come to them, and they said the exorcism people in Catholicism are so interested in this movie that they are selling out in Catholic venues. The African American community has taken to it like wildfire.

“The Black church has always believed in deliverance and the supernatural,” he continues. “We are hearing that many churches are selling out theaters all over the country. Fathom says they have never put out a movie that they have put their stamp of approval on that has sold this many tickets a month before the movie comes out. I’m humbled to be a part of this because we are going to reach the nation with this message, the message of deliverance.”

Evangelist and “demon slayer” Isaiah Saldivar says the timing for the movie couldn’t be any more perfect. He says we are in the midst of a deliverance revival in America right now, and the film will stir up a deep-rooted hunger that will give the enemy a “whipping” he will never forget.

Saldivar also says it is his understanding that this is the first time this type of movie has ever been allowed to play in so many secular theaters.

“All year long we talk about what the devil is doing, but now we’re putting out a movie that will show you how to overcome the enemy,” Saldivar said on the “Demon Slayer Podcast. “We’ve been shouting about this, saying we need deliverance in the church. And right now, God is doing something special in America. Deliverance is breaking out.”

In light of how Satan is amping up his efforts to destroy people and keep them from the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, indeed, the timing for “Come Out in Jesus Name” is impeccable, if not miraculous. Recent secular cultural events like the Grammys, in which British singer Sam Smith appeared on center stage glorifying satanic rituals in a skin-tight leather outfit singing a song titled “Unholy,” have brought more attention to the prince of darkness.

The Satanic Temple has attempted to make itself more visible, including opening up an online clinic for abortion services it calls “religious.”

In a recent article, Charisma News columnist Dr. Michael Brown declared that “Satan is Beginning to Show His Hand More Clearly.” And indeed he is.

“I don’t care about what the secular world celebrates [the Grammys], but it is a picture of what the devil is doing,” Saldivar says. “This movie [“Come Out in Jesus Name”] is such perfect timing because it’s a direct confrontation against what’s happening at events like the Grammys. The devil is flexing his arm, but we, on March 13, are flexing back. We are saying the devil is a liar, and we have come to destroy the works of darkness. We are not going to be afraid. We are not going to hide our light.

“If the Grammys can do a satanic ritual on stage, we can bring back deliverance to 2,000 movie theaters all over America.”

Mike Signorelli, lead pastor of V1 Church in New York City, says “Come Out in Jesus Name” is a “powerful evangelism tool.”

new cm coverimage“There are people who will not go to a church, but they will go to the movie theater with you. Extend that invitation and watch what God is going to do,” Signorelli says. “V1 Church has already taken over four theater locations from California to New York City. We are primarily inviting lost people to come and view this.

“Matthew 5 says we are to be salt and light, and so this movie is going to provoke hunger and thirst in people and a desire inside of them. It’s going to spark opportunity like never before. I don’t think any one of us can calculate the totality of what God is going to do. Get ready for tens of thousands of testimonies.”

Tampering With the Bible?

The Church of England is at it again, only this time it proposes tampering with the Word of God.

The Church of England, which recently declared that same-sex couples cannot marry but they will “receive God’s blessings,” is now looking into the use of gender-neural terms to refer to God in prayers, including changing Matthew 6:9-13 to exclude the words “Our Father.”

Several media outlets have reported the proposed change.

The book of Revelation, Chapter 22:18-19, reads: “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the Holy City and out of the things which are written in this book.

By taking out the “Our Father” in Matthew 6, isn’t that what the Church of England is trying to do?

Church officials are adamant in their beliefs and their actions for COE.

“Christians have recognized since ancient times that God is neither male nor female,” a spokesperson for the COE told Reuters News Service. “Yet the variety of ways of addressing and describing God found in scripture has not always been reflected in our worship.”

The spokesperson said that no changes could be made without “extensive legislation,” but said there has been “greater interest in exploring new language since the introduction of its forms of service in contemporary language more than 20 years ago.”

The COE’s governing body, the General Synod, convened recently where a priest asked about developing more inclusive language in authorized forms of worship and sought options for those who wish to speak of God in a “non-gendered way,” Reuters reported.

2023CMPrintcoverBishop Michael Ipgrave, vice chairman of the Church’s liturgical commission, said COE had been “exploring the use of gendered language in relation to God for several years.”

It is the latest attempt by the COE, one of the world’s oldest Christian institutions, to keep up with rapidly evolving notions around gender and sexuality in recent decades.

Last month, COE apologized to the LGBTQI+ community for the rejection and hostility it has historically faced.
