This Is Why You’re Not Seeing Miracles Even Though You’re Seeking Holy Spirit

After she got saved, Jennifer Eivaz had a hunger to walks in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yet she became continually frustrated when what she desired did not manifest itself. Something was missing, and she knew it.

But when Eivaz discovered a friendship with the Holy Spirit, the floodgates opened, and she began to realize her calling. It’s one element, she says, that many are missing when seeking the gifts of the Spirit.

“There is always more. There is always a next when we partner with the Holy Spirit,” Eivaz told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “We need to actually see Him and begin to ask Him take the limits off that we have. There are miracles that we are missing because we put limits on Him.

“We think He won’t go there, but He will go there. But we must realize that it’s a relationship. It’s not out of hype or strangeness or anything like that. It’s really, truly found in that relational place. That is the counsel I give to myself, and I give to everybody. Just keep going in and keep diving in. He wants to do more.”

Eivaz’s new podcast on CPN, “Take 10 with Jenn,” will help you to understand the supernatural realm and step into God’s supernatural lifestyle.

“The end result is that being in relationship with Him, His super gets on your natural, and you begin to flow in signs and wonders without striving,” Eivaz says. “That’s what I learned. I go back into my prayer closet and get closer to God. … Go back to the basics.”

Why Believers Must Connect Their Faith, God’s Word and the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit loves when you’re reading the Bible. While you’re reading, studying or listening to Scripture, He is present, leading you into God’s truth as you’re encountering Jesus.

The apostle Paul closes 2 Corinthians (which is the fourth letter he wrote to them, but only two withstood the test of time) saying, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Cor 13:14).

Within this Bible verse, we see some incredible principles. Read it again.

And again.

Let this verse soak into you.

The Trinity at Work

Within this Bible verse, we see the precious Trinity at work. We see the Father, the Son and the wonderful Holy Spirit. The Trinity is to be the model of relational community within the church. However, it tends to be that when some of us read this closing verse we tend to think individually. But this verse is showing that the corporate group, the church, may have the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit together.

Bible Study as Community Reflected by the Trinity

It is estimated that over 100 million Bibles are printed every year. And the Bible Society believes that 2.5 billion copies of the Bible were printed from 1815 to 1975. And now the YouVersion Bible app has had over 350 million installs on digital devices since 2008. Those are incredible numbers!

Most of us have a Bible or digital copy of it and can read it for ourselves. But in the early church, few copies of the apostolic letters and Gospels were around. So, they read the Bible aloud as a gathering and people memorized them together. And they would eat together, discussing and interpreting what was read to them as a community.

Just like the Trinity is a community, Bible study is to be a community endeavor. I personally love reading, listening and studying Scripture on my own. But we miss something if we’re not blending our faith community with the aid of the Holy Spirit in studying and interpreting. The apostolic church accomplished this together in Acts 15. and we can do the same today having God, Scripture and our community of faith. Just as they were reading, studying, discussing and interpreting Scripture together, in our Bible study we should consider what our leaders, church and affiliations believe.

If you’re doing a personal or group study of Scripture, you can ask the question, “How does my church community believe or practice what it reads?” You can even relate historical events in your denomination or councils or creeds to what you’re studying. And you can talk to your leaders, small groups and others seeing if you agree or disagree with various understanding and interpretation. This is all done in a safe and loving atmosphere of community. If you don’t know how to begin studying the Bible s I’ve mentioned, check out my resource the Spirit Empowered Journal in the U.S. and U.K.

Holy Spirit Empowerment

When studying personally or corporately, the precious Holy Spirit is with you. He reveals the deep truths of God’s Word to all of you while engaging your heart, mind and church community in your study. He loves to empower you with His anointing. And may the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of the Father and the fellowship of the Spirit be upon all of you.

Why This Men’s Movement Could Spark a Great Awakening in America

Judge Vance Day is a firm believer that godly men make godly men. And in turn, when men begin to behave in a godly manner, women and children in our culture can live in the safety and security God promises in His Word.

Day, the chief operating officer of Promise Keepers, says our society has increasingly turned up its nose to biblical definitions of manhood. As a result, men from all walks of life struggle, lack role models and a biblical road map for how to achieve their goals. More than ever, Day says, the world needs men to rise about the tide of culture and reclaim their biblical role as servant leaders to their families, churches and communities.

Promise Keepers has been serving men since 1990. However, it is launching new platforms to raise up a new generation of men of integrity.

“What we’re lacking in our culture today is that men don’t know how to be men anymore,” Day told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “We’re not affirmed at being men anymore. We’re actually discouraged from being masculine.

“We’re designed to be servant kings, to be leaders and to give our lives for others. When men don’t know how to serve and care for people, then it becomes devastating to women and children. When we do discipleship, we live life together, sweat, have paint together and joy together.”

Promise Keepers is putting together an event for 2020 that it hopes what it hopes will spark a godly hunger in men to revive this nation. It is scheduled for July 31-Aug. 1 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“When you help a man understand who he is, it helps the women and children. Revive a man, you revive a nation. We need men that can revive a culture. We believe that Promise Keepers and other ministries gathered together will have a catalytic event that can start a movement that will spark a Great Awakening in the United States.”

5 Types of Girls I Don’t Want My Son Dating

At the beginning of 1848, a carpenter named James Marshall was working on building a sawmill near Sacramento, California, when he found gold. Although he and his employer tried to keep the discovery quiet, news started to spread.

Sam Brannan, a shop owner in nearby San Francisco, looked to cash in—not by mining, but by selling equipment to prospectors. He initially announced the great gold hope in the streets and then he sent publications east. Initial reports around the country were greeted by skepticism.

But in December, President Polk confirmed the abundance of gold in California. By 1849, the rush was on. The hope-filled prospectors looking to strike it rich became known as “the forty-niners.”

Unfortunately, some thought they struck it rich only to find out that the shiny gold substance was pyrite. It is otherwise known as “fool’s gold.” While gold is both soft and nearly indestructible, pyrite is brittle and breaks apart easily. Another way to tell the difference is during panning: Pyrite is lighter and will easily move around the pan with the water, while gold will normally stay in the same place.

When my son discovers girls, the last thing I want him to do is invest his heart and mind in fool’s gold. Don’t misunderstand me. This is not a value statement. I believe all human beings to be of eternal worth and significance.

However, teenage boys (and plenty of men) will chase women without considering what is below the surface. Physical attraction is important, but it’s the core of a woman that makes her a lasting companion and sharpens him into a better man. My son may need to learn this lesson through painful experience, but hopefully, that pain will be held to a minimum. With all that said, here are five types of girls I don’t want my son dating.

  1. Dishonest. We have all lied at times, but a person who makes it a habit, even about small things, cannot be trusted. The relationship will only end in frustration and disappointment, perhaps worse. The thing I would tell my son to look out for is how she speaks about people. Does she act kindly toward people when they are around, but speak badly about them when they leave? If so, then watch out.
  2. Shallow. She cares most about surface things and First World problems, namely involving her. Shallow people have limited emotional depth because they don’t invest thought and energy in their emotions. Caring little for the needs of others, she also tends to make snap judgments without knowledge and lacks empathy. Many teenagers have a self-focus and have only realized a certain amount of emotional maturity. However, I would caution my son with the question, “How does she respond to people in pain?” If there is a lack of concern, don’t waste your time.
  3. Vain. It’s not just that she is fixated on how she looks, but she is focused on herself. People who are vain will tend to focus their energy on creating a picture of what looks good rather than developing the heart and authentic friendships. Relationships come in and out of their life with little care. I would tell my son to look for a couple of warning signs. How often is she taking selfies, looking at those pictures or looking in a mirror? What does her friend history look like? If the answers are “quite a bit” and “a revolving door of friends,” those are major red flags.
  4. Materialistic. When she places the value of things over people, she can’t be counted on. Materialistic people will be the first to cut and run when things get difficult. A relationship with her is like building a house on the sand. It won’t last. I want my son to only build relationships with people who will hang in there when things are hard. He needs to pay attention to how much she talks about having expensive things. Does she try to impress others with them or take excessive pride in them?
  5. Unfaithful. She consistently breaks promises and doesn’t keep her word. There is no follow-through. It is a recipe for a painful relationship and potential cheating, and not worth his time. The question I would ask him is, “How often does she do what she says she’s going to do?” If she doesn’t walk her talk, find a girl who does. There are plenty out there.

3 Keys to Restore Your Roar Against the Enemy

There was once an echo that cried out loudly from an upper room where His wind blew and a roar arose. The sound of the echo that day was something new but being His echo was not.

Ezekiel once echoed and raised an army from the dry bones and His spirit breathed life into them. Moses was His echo after coming down from the mountain. John the Baptist was His echo preparing the way. Where is the echo today?

The church is too quiet. Where has our roar gone? The enemy is after your roar. (Prov. 28:1, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”)

We have the answer for the hurting, broken and weary! Maybe we have forgotten where our roar started. What began on the cross culminated in an upper room. There was a roar that rose from an upper room—a roar that forever changed history and birthed the New Testament church, a roar that came from an unknown deep cries out to deep place; a roar that could not be silenced!

“When this sound occurred, the crowd came together and were confounded, because each man heard them speaking in his own language” (Acts 2:6).

But first let’s back up and remember before the roar was heard. Go with me to the darkest moment in history. Jesus was the Lamb led to the slaughter. Hanging high in the air. Mounted as Satan’s trophy. The disciples were weeping in agony. Mary watched as her son died for sons and daughters. Heaven remained quiet.

At 3 p.m., He cried out. “When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished.’ And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit” (John 19:30).

Let me ask you today: Is there a cry within your spirit for more? The roar will always start with a groan. “Yet when holy lovers of God cry out to him with all their hearts, the Lord will hear them and come to rescue them from all their troubles” (Ps. 34:17, TPT).

I realize that many reading today are increasingly agitated. You feel a yearning for more. You are unhappy with your present lot in life. You know that you were created for more, but the more seems so far away. You feel the groan.

Maybe it’s one of frustration or agitation or one of desperation. But in the distance, maybe even faintly within your spirit, you hear a knock at the door. He is always knocking. Revelation 3:20 (MEV) says, “Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.” God will and can suddenly arouse you from your normal. Are you listening? Is there a cry in your spirit for more?

The Sound of Devastation Leads to Desperation

“Just then Jesus passionately cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last.” (Mark 15:37).

Devastation is an alarm clock! Let me share personally with you about a recent “alarm clock” moment in our lives. It began with a doctor’s report, a diagnosis of cancer in the blood, the word “leukemia.” That devastation moment aroused within us a desperation that brought us to our altar. Every morning and every evening! “Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart” (Ps. 5:3b).

The sound of devastation leads to desperation. Look at the disciples. The disciples were now alone. Jesus had died, arose and 40 days later ascended. Now they needed a God-interruption! Just before He ascended, He had given them a promise. “And I will send the fulfillment of the Father’s promise [Holy Spirit] to you. So stay here in the city until the mighty power of heaven falls upon you and wraps around you” (Luke 24:49).

God the Father had created His masterpiece called humanity so He could have fellowship. Jesus the Son of God came to seek and to save that which was lost! The Holy Spirit came to guide you into righteousness, friendship and purpose with God.

Who is the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity? His name is Holy Spirit! He is my Counselor! Oftentimes, He is now forced to fly under the radar, live in the gymnasiums of youth services, the Bible studies of homes and encounter weekends twice a year. But He has always been here. From the beginning, God’s Spirit was here!

“First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss” (Gen. 1:1-2, MSG).

Noah would send forth a dove, in Genesis 8:12 (MEV), “He waited another seven days and sent out the dove again, but it did not return to him again.”

Isaiah prophesied about the upper room. “Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people, to whom he said, ‘This is the resting place, let the weary rest’; and, ‘This is the place of repose’— but they would not listen” (Isa. 28:11-12, NIV).

John the Baptist had made the introduction of who would bring him. Luke 3:16, “John answered them all, ‘I indeed baptize you with water. But One mightier than I is coming, the strings of whose shoes I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire'” (Luke 3:16, MEV).

Jesus had promised him. “I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever: the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, for it does not see Him, neither does it know Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you fatherless. I will come to you” (John 14:16-18).

Now the disciples were stuck in a room waiting on the promise. Desperation leads to the restoration of the roar! Stuck between “Amen” and “There it is!” The Lamb of God had surrendered His spirit and breath in order to save lost humanity. They needed His Spirit. Now they were in the waiting room!

Suddenlies Are Preceded by Obedience

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak” (Acts 2:1-4).

It is in the waiting room that prayers lives awaken! The slumber of the bride has caused a release of the unprecedented plunder of God’s storehouse and harvest by the enemy. He is now unabated by a church that once stood its ground but has now gone underground for fear of being exposed by our lack of purpose.

It is time to restore your roar! History is never made by those who choose to sit out the fight but by those were willing to relinquish their fear and stand their ground against evil. It is time to allow desperation to once again lead to the restoration of your roar and the roar He is longing to hear. Amos 3:8 says, “The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?”

Let me share with you three keys to finding your roar:

  1. It was the right time. Fifty-three days after devastation, as promised, the Holy Spirit came and the New Testament church was birthed. One hundred twenty gathered; 120 waited; 120 cried out. I love numbers, and if you look at 120, you see: 100 (election process) + 20 (expectancy) = elected group with expectancy! God in his brilliance birthed the New Testament church on the day that the harvest feast was beginning. Pentecost, the feast of Pentekostos, meaning “50th,” came 50 days after Passover. In the Old Testament, it was also known as the harvest festival (Lev. 23:9-16). It was also called the Feast of Weeks, Shavuot,”which Jews celebrate as God’s revealing of the law at Mount Sinai (Ex. 34:22)—the seventh Sunday after Easter. God chooses timing, the kairos (appointed time) Could this be the appointed time? They were desperate. They waited 10 days. The number 10 meaning completeness in divine order—the beginning of one period and the ending of another.
  1. It was the right attitude. They were in one mind and one accord! They checked their religion at the door! Their door knob was expectation. God always chooses places to pour out His Spirit that have decided “we must have a move of God”. Too often we have rejected a move of the Holy Spirit as yesterday’s move of God when, in fact, God desires to move past your daily facade into a face-to-face encounter.

Ephesians 5:18b says, “Be filled with the [Holy] Spirit.”

“For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body” (1 Cor. 12:13a).

“Eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit” (1 Cor. 14:1b, NIV).

Many gifts but one Spirit: see 1 Corinthians 12:4-7.

“The manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyone for the common good. … But that one and very same Spirit works all these, dividing to each one individually as He will.”

Tongues are a sign to the unbeliever (see 1 Cor. 14:22).

All of the gifts are done in order (see 1 Cor. 14:40).

  1. It was the right place. The upper room. Place—Greek, “epi,” the center of earthquake!

God will show up in the house that has decided He is welcome.

The roar has sound waves. When the church awakens to the Holy Spirit who has been longing to come inside of their sanctuaries and homes, they will soon discover that the world will come running to the sound of freedom coming from their dwellings.

Your awakening will cause others to hear a sound and come running to find freedom. Right now, God is looking for bold and courageous leaders who have a holy fear of the Lord to arise and stand firm. These are those who are not worried about losing their reputations or their standing but understand that they gain strength and purpose in God.

You were rescued, revived and restored for something greater than yourself. With great freedom and blessing comes great responsibility. God not only wants you to walk free of fear, but He also wants to see you rescue and revive both those around you and the next generation of freedom fighters.

Your courage is so important in raising up a new generation equipped to keep the fire of God burning in the world. It is time to roar over the land God has given us. It is time to restore your roar.

How to Bridge the Church’s Great Divide Between Word and Spirit

As a student in Bible college and seminary, I received tools, “rightly dividing the word of truth,” (2 Tim. 2:15b). Great professors and scholars taught Bible study methods and the art of studying Scripture.

However, I had a hard time combining what the Holy Spirit said in the Bible and what He is saying in the present through spiritual gifts and in my personal time spent with Him. But I knew He is my present companion and Comforter and enjoys speaking to His kids.

Most literature said we could not combine both for fear of taking Scripture out of context. There seemed to be a great chasm between studying the Scripture and the present work of the Holy Spirit. Many Spirit-filled denominations and associations are guilty of teaching this disconnect, confusing their ministers in training.

But that is far from the truth. We need both the Spirit and Scripture. Through ongoing study and revelation, I learned that the wonderful Holy Spirit is still speaking through Scripture, The great chasm can be bridged. Not only has He spoken as recorded in Scripture, but He is speaking, continually revealing Himself to us through the Bible and to present circumstances.

Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Many people tend to think this refers only to hearing the preaching of the gospel. But it actually refers to preaching and prophesying. It includes the written word of the past but also the Spirit-empowered spoken word of the present. And what He is saying to us personally, to our churches and movements will not contradict what He has said in the Bible.

The Simple Question

The wonderful Holy Spirit must be included in our study of Scripture. He is the best teacher (Neh. 9:20, John 14:26, 1 John 2:27). Fellowshipping with Him enhances our understanding of the Bible. Increasing our faith as we continue growing in friendship and community with Him and one another.

This week in your Bible study, please continue your observations, interpreting and applying what you’ve read. But add one simple question to your study. Ask the Holy Spirit directly: “What are you showing me through this Scripture, Holy Spirit?”

Then wait on Him, writing down what He says to you. He is the sole reason I have published the Spirit Empowered Journal in the U.S. and U.K. with this direct question for Bible study.

In the next article in this series, I will share another simple step, adding to your Bible study, Reading the Bible with the Holy Spirit in Your Faith Community. I believe it will help empower you, enhancing your spiritual growth and equipping us to be Spirit-empowered.

Are You Causing People to Blaspheme?

Have you ever heard something come out of someone’s mouth that was so contrary to who you thought that person was that you simply didn’t have a file in your file cabinet in which to place the statement? I’m talking about a statement so radically foreign from what you would expect that person to say that you actually felt your heart skip and the computer in your mind automatically went, for only a moment, to that blue error screen.

This happened to me recently when a well-known pastor with a very large congregation was speaking about the book of Romans and quoted from Chapter 2, verses 28-29 (TLV):

“For one is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something visible in the flesh. Rather, the Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart—in Spirit not in letter. His praise is not from men, but from God.”

And he said “real Jews” are not the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” “No,” he went on to say, “True Jews were those in the church who had circumcised hearts.”

I have heard this pastor teach for years, and he always seemed to have a basic understanding of the Bible. Through the years, I have gleaned from his messages. So, when I heard him make such an unbiblical statement, I was shocked.

For a moment, I didn’t have a drawer in my cabinet in which to file his statement. How could someone so educated and so experienced in biblical study make such an unsound and unbiblical comment? Worse yet, those seated in his massive sanctuary responded with thunderous applause to his proclamation.

You may be asking yourself after reading the above text, “What is the problem? What did the pastor say that was so wrong,” or, “isn’t what he said consistent with those verses from Romans 2?” The answer to all three questions is simple. The pastor pulled two verses out of context and, in doing so, he confused and obfuscated the entire message of the book of Romans.

Over the past few years, I have been working on writing books that help those who read them look at the text of the New Testament in context. My first book on Galatians in Context is already available on Amazon, and I will be releasing Colossians in Context shortly, followed by Romans in Context, Hebrews in Context and Ephesians in Context.

The purpose for my writing these books is to counter the damage done by those who make statements like the one above. As a result, it can cause Gentile believers to believe something that is untrue, while at the same time drive Jewish people away from belief in Yeshua (Jesus) and the biblical mandate G-D gave to the Jewish people.

Let’s go back to Romans 2:28-29. One of the indisputable truths about Romans 2:28 and 29 is that there are 27 verses in Romans 2 that precede verses 28 and 29. So, if we are to understand verses 28 and 29, it would be important that we first read the verses that come before verses 28 and 29. One very important verse we read within those 27 previous verses is Romans 2:17:

“But if you call yourself Jewish and rely upon the Torah and boast in God” …

In Paul’s writing of Romans chapter 2:17, he clearly tells us that he is speaking to people who are Jews. As a matter of fact, in proper context, Paul is chastising a group of Jewish believers because they have been bad examples to the Gentile believers who are causing the Gentile believers to live their lives in ways that are contrary to having faith in Yeshua, which is why Paul writes Romans 2:24:

“For as it is written, “the name of God is slandered among the nations because of you.”

Some translations say, “the name of G-D is blasphemed among the Gentiles.”

If verse 17 isn’t enough evidence that Paul is speaking to Jewish believers in Yeshua and not to Gentiles unbelievers in Romans 2, let’s go back a little further to Romans 2:14:

“For when Gentiles, who do not have the Torah, do by nature the things of the Torah, they are a law to themselves even though they do not have the Torah.”

Notice that in verse 14, Paul is speaking to one group of people and uses the words “for when Gentiles” to differentiate between the first group, the Jews, and the second group, the Gentiles.

It is also very important for understanding the text in context by looking back in the Bible to previous verses using the same language. In this case, one such verse is found in Deuteronomy 30:6:

“Also Adonai your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants—to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live.”

In context, this is a prophetic word from G-D to the Jewish people concerning their restoration in the end times as He reestablishes Israel and circumcises their hearts so that they would do as it says in Deuteronomy 30:8:

“Then you—you will return and listen to the voice of Adonai and do all His mitzvot that I am commanding you today.”

In Romans 2, Paul is not telling Gentile believers that they are the “true Jews.” Not at all. Rather Paul is reminding the Jewish believers in Yeshua that because their hearts have been circumcised, they have a prophetic responsibility to be an example to the Gentile believers of what living a biblically repentant life in Yeshua looks like.

If you remove these words from their context and reapply them inconsistently, you cause the Gentile believers in Yeshua to do exactly what Paul was accusing the Jews of doing. You cause Gentiles believers to blaspheme the name of G-D.

How? By removing the context, you change the meaning, and when you change the meaning, you cause the prophetic words G-D spoke to become untrue. Taking Paul’s words out of context and misapplying these words to Gentile believers, in effect, makes G-D a liar, and it causes those to whom you teach to blaspheme or slander G-D. {eoa}

Prophetic Word: God Is Releasing 7 Shades of Glory to His Church

The Spirit of God showed me a vision of a massive storm approaching. There were dark clouds, heavy rain and people soaked and drenched unexpectedly.

Many in the vision were looking around perplexed and confused, saying, “Why weren’t we made aware of the storm that was coming? We could have been prepared and brought along our umbrellas or found a place of safety.”

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the sun broke through, and a rainbow appeared. I asked the Lord what this was in the vision. The Lord said that this storm was not of the enemy’s doing but came by way of the prayers of His people. It was an indicator of what was happening in the spiritual realm and is now happening in the natural. In other words, the outpouring was prayed for. God reminded me of James 5:17-18 (BSB), where it says:

“Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.”

God told me that it’s a rain of revival, rain of glory, rain of restoration, rain of healing, rain of miracles, rain of breakthrough, rain of power, rain of resources, rain of favor and blessing. Many times in the Old Testament, God would come down in a dark cloud and speak. Clouds represent God’s glory and appearance. Dark clouds even represents His judgment. God said He was not coming to judge but to answer their prayers.

After the flood in the days of Noah, God restored, replenished and reestablished His covenant with His people and there was a sign in the heavens of His “bow,” which was the rainbow. God told me that He is releasing His sevenfold Spirit upon those who have endured and that after the rain, they will be mantled with glory. He is going to reveal to His people seven shades or facets of His glory.

Have you ever seen a rainbow? Sometimes when the sun is shining and it is rainy somewhere at the same time, you can see a rainbow. It’s a huge arch of colors in the sky. It is caused by light from the sun being broken up by water droplets in the atmosphere. The sun’s light is white, but the water droplets breaks it up into seven different colors, always in this order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. God is releasing seven shades of glory to His church in a greater capacity.

“And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature with you, for everlasting generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth . . . and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh” (Gen. 9:12, 15, HBFV).

In Ezekiel’s first vision from God, known as the “wheel in the middle of a wheel” vision, the prophet compares it to the glory of God to what he saw. The prophet saw something prophetic that I believe there is much to see from this and what’s going on in the spiritual realm. I believe God was showing me that we are about to embark on greater and prophetic glory in the days to come (see Ezek. 1:16; 10:9-10).

The floodgates are opening, and God’s glory is about to be revealed to His people in a new way. He is reestablishing His covenant with those who will seek Him in this hour to advance the Kingdom. God showed me the storm first, then a rainbow which illustrated His sevenfold spirits. The seven spirits shows the sevenfold ministry of the Spirit as depicted in the book of Isaiah.

“As it is written: The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear” (Isa. 11:2-3, NASB). These are:

  1. The Spirit of the Lord.
  2. Spirit of Wisdom.
  3. Spirit of Understanding.
  4. Spirit of Counsel.
  5. Spirit of Might.
  6. Spirit of Knowledge.
  7. Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

Here are represented the seven spirits, which are before the throne of God. The reference to the Lamb in Revelation 5:6 relates it to the seven spirits, which first appear in Revelation 1:4 and are connected with Jesus, who holds them along with seven stars. Seven is the number of divine perfection and completion. God is showing me a new measure, mantle, anointing and influence that is coming to His body in a new way that speaks of the seven graces (“charisma“) spoken of in Romans 12:6-8, which also make reference to the seven Spirits of God. The Holy Spirit manifests these graces, reflecting the seven spirits of the Lord. The seven graces are:

1) Prophetic insight and revelation.

2) Ministry of helps (serving).

3) Apostolic Instruction (teaching).

4) Prophetic encouragement, edification and exhortation.

5) Ministry of giving (sowing).

6) Spirit of leadership, wisdom, direction, oversight, to govern and rule.

7) Love, compassion, sincere, genuine and authentic.

God is going to release the rain before He will release the glory. God told me to tell His people that He has not forgotten His promises concerning them. Get ready for a glory invasion coming to your life. Just as a rainbow has seven colors and shades, God likened it to me as the sevenfold Spirit of God that is coming to His people.

And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (Rev. 4:2-5, KJV).

God showed me the spiritual meaning of the seven shades of His glory below (replacing indigo with white):

  1. Red: Divine protection in every area of your life through the blood of Jesus.
  2. Yellow: Divine influence, affluence and visibility in God as the light of the world.
  3. Orange: Divine zeal, compassion and the fire of the Lord to move supernaturally.
  4. Green: Divine wealth, prosperity, favor, health and new life in the Holy Spirit.
  5. Blue: Divine prophetic revelation, insight, vision, dreams and spiritual encounters.
  6. Purple: Divine royalty, justice, power, crown of life and authority.
  7. White: God’s divine purity and the cleansing of our sins through God’s grace.

Why Spirit-Filled Christians Need to Rise Up and Cover Their Workplaces in Prayer

As Christ-followers, Jim and Martha Brangenberg share a passion to let you know how important your work is for Jesus. They want you to recognize your workplace as a mission field and to fulfill God’s calling every day you’re there.

The Brangenbergs, whose national radio show “iwork4Him” reaches tens of thousands of people weekly, have begun a new broadcast on the Charisma Podcast Network called the “iWork4Him PowerPod.” On the show, they capture stories of how God is moving in the marketplace and how people are living out their faith from 9 to 5 daily.

“We know that some people think that, to be in the ministry, they have to quit their full-time jobs,” says Jim Brangenberg, who has been podcasting with his wife, Martha, for more than six years. “But you are already in full-time ministry. Just realize it by beginning to cover your workplace with prayer. Start praying with those people that you work alongside each and every day, and you will start to see your heart transformed for them because you are surrounded by hurting people who need Jesus.

“The only way we are ever going to change this country and bring it back to the Christian faith it was founded on is by Christ-followers leading out in prayer in the workplace and being that person whose faith is so compelling and so attractive that people, whether they believe in Jesus or not, will join you. You are a key minister in your workplace, and look for and lead the move of God there every day.”

Why Some of Your Spiritual Struggles Are So Stubborn

If your experience was anything like mine, you were exposed to porn at a young age. I was 12 years old when a friend showed me a magazine, and it grabbed hold of me.

From that point onward, I felt this inexplicable draw to porn. I fell headlong into lust. It consumed me.

When I got saved, some struggles left immediately. I stopped living like a frat kid, going to parties and drinking excessively. I used to cuss like a sailor, but I was instantly set free from that. But my struggle with porn proved far more stubborn.

I spent years of my life spinning my wheels as I tried to break free. Despite all my efforts, time and again, I found myself back in a dark place, struggling and desperate for answers.

I knew I was hurting God’s heart. I was hurting my wife, Lisa, in ways I couldn’t even understand. I was constantly weighed down by shame, stuck in a cycle of defeat. I was convinced God had so much more for me, but I just felt stuck.

Perhaps you know the feeling …

What I didn’t realize back then was that every time you look at porn, you build and reinforce strong neural pathways in your mind. Any sexual release gives you a powerful surge of dopamine and other neurotransmitters, which imprints the experience on the brain and causes you to crave it again. In marriage, this reinforces the bond between husband and wife. With porn, however, it has disastrous effects. Every time you use it, it strengthens your attachment to whatever you are looking at and causes you to desire it in the future.

Now, a neural pathway may seem like a nerdy science term, but the concept is really quite simple. Think of it like a path through the woods. The more you walk it, the more worn it gets, and the easier it becomes to travel in the future. Over time, these reinforced patterns of behavior become so deeply ingrained that they operate like superhighways in our brains. They become our default programming—things we do by default without even thinking about them.

The Bible has a different word for neural pathways. Strongholds.

To get free from porn, you are going to have to tear them down.

The apostle Paul says it this way:

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Cor. 10:3-5, NIV).

Notice the intensity of the language here: “Weapons. “Fight.” “Demolish.” “Take captive.”

This is not casual. It’s war. And this war is being fought in your mind.

When was the last time you demolished a stronghold in your life and brought it into submission to the authority of Jesus?

If you feel like you’ve just been spinning your wheels, you’ve probably been trying to fight your battles on the fruit level rather than addressing the root—the thoughts, beliefs and the established patterns of thinking that in turn shape your behavior.

To start winning the war against porn, or any other stubborn habit in your life, you have to start fighting it on the right battlefield. Only once you begin taking your thoughts captive and renewing your mind according to God’s Word will you step into the victorious life God intends for you. I’m not saying it will be easy. It will feel like an all-out war at times, and there is much ground to take back from the enemy. But I promise; it will be worth it.

That’s more than three decades of freedom speaking right there, so you can take that to the bank. {eoa}
