Prophecy: God Will Restore Withered Relationships This Year

2020 will be a year of reconciliation and restoring withered relationships the enemy attacked. Over time, God will strengthen some of these relationships seven-fold as a reward for enduring the attack.

Hebrews 12:14 tells us “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”

Make no mistake, there are some people you just can’t live in peace with. That’s why the Bible says “to make every effort.” Sometimes despite your best efforts, it’s just not possible to live in peace with people. Sometimes it’s in our best interest not to reconcile with abusers and false prophets to the point of relational contact.

But I’ve learned if you make a sincere effort to live in peace with people you loved and lost over offense, your own bad choices, or enemy maneuvers to steak, kill and destroy, God can move suddenly to heal even long-term damage. Sometimes, you just have to reach out your hand. Sometimes you have to humble yourself and extend an olive branch, even if you don’t feel it was your fault.

I received this revelation while reading Mark 3:1-5:

“While in Capernaum Jesus went over to the synagogue again, and noticed a man there with a deformed hand. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched Him closely. Would he heal the man’s hand? If He did, they planned to arrest Him!

“Jesus asked the man to come and stand in front of the congregation. Then turning to His enemies, He asked, ‘Is it all right to do kind deeds on Sabbath days? Or is this a day for doing harm? Is it a day to save lives or to destroy them?'” {eoa}

Why Ignoring This Key to Spiritual Success Is Dangerous for Your Health

Our human bodies need physical nutrients to stay healthy. Too little of these nutrients, and our bodies can become susceptible to disease and sickness.

Dr. John Townsend, psychologist and founder of the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling, says the same thing holds true with relationships. If we don’t get the right nutrients from others, and, in turn, give them to others, then our relationships will suffer and it will hamper us from becoming who we are meant to be in the kingdom of God.

Jesus, Townsend says, was an energy gainer as a leader and teacher. His question for you is, are you an energy gainer or an energy drainer in your relationships?

“Yes, Jesus spent time with the sick and feeble, the blind and the hurting. But he also spent a great amount of time in a training program with 12 dudes,” Townsend told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “We all need more energy, the vitality that helps us stay motivated, focused and productive in life.

“In other words, we need the right kind of relationship with others. Not the ones that drain us, but the ones that refuel us. Jesus spent all that time in one-on-one training in the highest-level development program with his disciples, and then they went out and healed the sick and healed their souls because of his training.

“When we experience these critical elements from others, as the disciples did from Jesus, then we can grow mentally and emotionally, and stay shaper and healthier. And as we give these elements back, others benefit as well. You need to have concrete steps to help you cultivate relationships with those who will help you be all you were meant to be.”

Prophecy: The Lord Says, ‘My Ministers Are About to Catch Fire’

Pastor Rich Vera says he wants everyone to experience the manifest presence, power and moving of the Holy Spirit. He wants to see lives changed and people healed, discipled and empowered.

That’s what’s happening at Vera’s church in Orlando, The Center for Miracles and Revival, and with his ministry, the Voice of Healing Outreach. In a prophetic prayer on a recent Greenelines podcast, Vera prophesied that listeners would be healed and realize their kingdom calling.

“Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for everyone that’s listening to my voice right now. I pray you bring healing and deliverance to them, that the prophetic fire be upon their lives, that they will rise up and hear the voice of God like never before. God is going to heal you and restore your fire.

“They will jump into their destines right now. Let the fire of the prophetic be released to every minister that listens to my voice. There are ministers listening, and I don’t know which medium, but you are a missionary evangelist and your ministry has been frustrated. You’ve been going through a situation with your family, in your house and in your marriage. God says within three months you will see the breakthrough coming to your personal life.

“God is going to restore the fire. The Lord says, ‘My ministers are about to catch fire’ and that God is calling them back into the river of the spirits.”

Prophetic Word For 2020s: This Is a Decade of Abraham Prophets and Intercessors

God is weary of the doom and gloom prophets. We’re seeing a tipping point in heaven as a response to the Jonah prophets: Abraham prophets and intercessors.

Consider 2020 in the context of the Law of First Mention, a hermeneutical method stating the way a word is first used in the Bible will be the way this word is largely understood thereafter. The first time the number 20 is found in the Bible, it’s connected to intercession and a plea for mercy over judgment. In Genesis 18:16-26 we overhear a conversation in heaven:

“Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way. And the Lord said, ‘Should I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him? I chose him, and he will instruct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He promised him.’

“And the Lord said, ‘Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has come to Me. If not, I will know.’

“Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord. Then Abraham drew near and said, ‘Shall You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous in the city? Shall You also destroy, and not spare the place, for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be treated like the wicked; far be it from You. Should not the Judge of all the earth do right?'”

Although God is a God of judgment, Hosea understood that He is also a God of mercy. This why he cried out: “O Lord, I have heard the report of You, and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of these years make them known; in wrath remember mercy” (Hab. 3:2). Let’s all remember, mercy triumphs over judgment (see James 2:13). {eoa}

These Spiritual Disciplines Will Position You for 2020 Victories

January is a strategic month in a believer’s life. It is an opportunity to begin again, to renew one’s commitment to ministry and to ask God for new vision.

January presents the hope that certain things are able to change in one’s life and it offers the confidence that God is able to stir up fresh faith, to give emboldened strength and to repurpose former assignments.

“See, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not be aware of it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” (Isa. 43:19).

Although the Father is certainly capable of doing the “new” on any day of the year, it seems that we, as His children, are more open to the “new” that He wants to do in January. So, as you approach this new year, with your arms and your heart open wide to His purposes and to His plans, linger over the possibilities that lie before you. Ask God to reveal His strategy to you for the untouched days of 2020.

A new year is inevitably filled to overflowing with potential, with mission and with victories. I believe that as you open yourself to the Father’s plans, the following disciplines might present a strategic blueprint to run the race that has been assigned to you in the 11 months remaining of this year.

First of all, determine to become a student of the Bible. Decide early in this year that you will open the sacred pages of the Word of God in a disciplined and orderly fashion on a regular basis.

Your approach to reading the Bible should never be scattered, disorganized or random. Read the Word of God with interest, with enthusiasm and deliberately. You will never regret it.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Ps. 119:105).

Secondly, set time aside each day for worship. Don’t ask God for anything at all during this period of time, but instead spend it in heartfelt gratitude and in passionate thanksgiving. Praise Him for who He is and for what He has done for you. Tell Him why you love Him and give Him the glory that He deserves! You will never regret it.

“My tongue will speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long” (Ps. 35:28).

The third discipline that will frame the days of 2020 in a powerful and healthy fashion is to spend time each day in prayer. Prayer is a different discipline than worship is; during prayer you tell the Father your concerns and then listen for His answers.

I find that recording my requests, both for myself and on behalf of others, in a prayer journal is the best way to establish this practice in my life. It is vital to incorporate time to listen to the Father’s heart when you pray. He might download a strategy for you, or He may give you a Scripture verse or a Word, but He will certainly give you His peace concerning all that concerns you. Prayer is a lovely practice that you will never regret.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7).

And finally, find a mentor in 2020. Find a brother or sister who has humbly and wisely lived a life of faith and of hope. Spend time with this person and listen to their insight and to their advice. Don’t demand their time, but humbly ask for an hour every other week or even once a month. It is important to fill our lives with men and women who have suffered well and who have determined that nothing will move them from pursuing passionately all that God has for them. You will never regret having a mentor.

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise” (Prov. 12:15).

Although January holds no intrinsic power in its 31 swiftly passing days, it does offer a challenge to live more effectively than we did in all of the years prior and to build in the coming year a life of significance and of faithfulness. When you determine that this year you will serve God more passionately than you did in 2019, you will never regret it! {eoa}

2020 Prophecy: Amos Prophets Will Lift Up Loud Voices

Social justice prophets will gain momentum as they lift their voices louder than ever before. God is going to impress upon true prophets some specific causes to champion.

Some may ask, “What is a social justice prophet?” If you look at Martin Luther King, Jr., you are looking at a 20th-century social justice prophet.

Think of what social justice is: crying out against unfair inequalities in the realms of opportunities, wealth or rights. Most prophets have a social justice cause, but God has bent some to be major social justice voices and to prophesy into these causes and against oppressors.

Amos was a social justice prophet, as were many other prophets in the Bible. Amos, though, is consider by many to be a model of the social justice prophet. Study his life and ministry in the Bible, and you will discern the reasons why.

Amos prophesied things like this: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals. They pant after the dust of the earth which is on the head of the poor, and pervert the way of the humble. A man and his father go in to the same girl, to defile My holy name” (Amos 2:6b-7, NKJV).

Micah prophesied: “Now hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice and pervert all equity, who build up Zion with bloodshed and Jerusalem with iniquity: Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for money” (Mic. 3:9-11a). {eoa}

Liquid Church: Reaching the ‘Desperately Thirsty’ With the Living Water of Jesus

When many people discover the name of the church Tim Lucas pastors in New Jersey, they think the worst. Liquid Church isn’t exactly a name you hear frequently in the kingdom.

But Lucas, who says the church began in 2007 “on accident” in the basement of a 150-year-old church, says the name is extremely appropriate. His “flock” is dedicated to reaching the spiritually dry—those who have given up on church but haven’t given up on God—with the living water of Jesus.

Liquid Church has grown exponentially since, and was named one of the 100 Fastest-Growing Churches by Outreach Magazine in 2019.

“I think when people hear the name Liquid, they assume, well, that’s a strange name,” Lucas told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “They may think, well, it’s either a cult or a drinking fraternity.

“But we named it Liquid for a simple reason. Jesus calls Himself living water. Certainly, there are a lot of spiritually thirsty people, particularly the next generation of Millennials and Gen Z. They are desperately thirsty for a living, vibrant relationship with Christ.”

What is Liquid Church’s secret to reaching these people? Lucas says it has harnessed the power of six ministry currents—special needs, creative communication, ministry mergers, compassionate cause, radical generosity and leadership development—to connect with those who are tired of dead religion and want to dive deeper into a relationship with Jesus.

5 Things Holy Spirit Guarantees About God’s Faithfulness

It’s a new year and new decade. Metaphorically, there are blank pages before us. With the start of every year, we are given 365 blank page days—use them to the fullest!

2019 was a good year, but if we have faith to believe it, 2020 can be a great year! In fact, a great decade.

Think of all that will transpire in our lives over the next 10 years! Some of you will have children graduate high school and college, get married, you may buy a house, make some wonderful trips, land a new job, get promoted, perhaps start a business and do awesome things for the Lord, to name a few!

At the beginning of every new year, a good exhortation to be reminded of is to draw near to God. James 4:8a says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” God is always inviting us to come closer, to abide in His presence.

When Samuel, who was to become a great prophet in Israel, first began to hear God’s voice, he was “in the house of the Lord where the ark of God was” (1 Sam. 3:3b). He was as close to the presence of God as a person could be before Jesus came. Close to God, in His presence, is where fresh revelation and inspiration flows. To revive your dreams and promises, stay close to His presence.

Sometimes dreams need to be rekindled. Hope is foundational to rekindling vision and believing for dreams to come to pass. Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) renews hope for past promises and future dreams, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

During the beginning of this new year, I encourage you to review previous words and promises God has made to you. Allow the Holy Spirit to breathe new life on them and begin to pray in faith over them once again. God is faithful to complete that which He begins!

God’s Faithfulness

Paul shared some words to the Corinthians that underscore how faithful God is to us. Let’s examine 2 Cor. 1:18-22 closely to discover more about God’s faithfulness.

“But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”

In this letter to the Corinthians, Paul was addressing concerns he had within their church fellowship. In this particular passage of the letter, Paul defended his change of plans from visiting Macedonia first to visiting Corinth first (vv. 15-16).

Paul wasn’t randomly changing plans or planning from a human or fleshly perspective (vv. 17-18). He wasn’t wavering between a yes and no; his travel plans changed, but his ministry was consistent (v. 19). Paul was always a yes to God and a yes to those he ministered to.

As a follower of Jesus, you and I are called as His ministers, His ambassadors. We must ask ourselves, “Am I a yes to God in season and out of season?” As we enter this new year, determine, like Paul, to preach and proclaim Jesus consistently to others—be a yes always!

In and through Jesus, all of God’s promises are a yes!

Paul now transitions to how consistent and faithful God is. In Christ, God is always consistent (yes) and never changes.

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us” (2 Cor. 1:20, NASB).

Think about the sheer number of God’s promises for a moment. Now think about God’s faithfulness to fulfill those promises. If you have any doubts about God’s faithfulness, simply look to Jesus!

Jesus is the fulfillment and the fulfiller of God’s promises because He is their sum and substance. Christians, through Jesus, can say Amen (or “Yes, so be it”) in response to God. Jesus is the agent and agency for our Amen!

The AMPC translates 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.”

Notice that God’s promises always find their yes (answer) in Jesus!

God does not lie or change His mind. Humans at times lie and change their minds, but not God! Balaam’s second prophecy to the Moabite King Balak, affirms this truth,

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it: (Num. 23:19-20, NKJV).

Notice, how God determined to bless the nation of Israel? The prophet Balaam, despite Balak’s attempts, can’t curse whom God has already blessed!

In Christ, you are blessed, not cursed! Jesus is your yes; He is your amen always! His promise to you is solid, because you are standing on Christ the solid rock!

God is faithful to watch over His word to perform it. Ezekiel 12:24-25 declares:

“For no more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God.”

God’s promises are backed by His character—He never changes or is inconsistent. This is Paul’s point as he uses his own faithfulness to the Corinthians as a segue into God’s faithfulness.

Paul explains in Galatians 6 how God watches over the seed you sow, the righteous and unrighteous seed. Paul encourages us to steadfastness because God is faithful to bring righteous seed to harvest in the proper time.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Gal. 6:9).

The exhortation is, “Don’t lose heart, harvest is certain, there is a due season, wait for it!” There is seedtime and harvest, but God is always yes and amen! He is consistent!

We are sealed and anointed with the Holy Spirit.

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Cor. 1:21-22).

God’s faithfulness has marked us as His possession, He has sealed us in Christ. The Greek word from which we translate seal (ed) in this verse is sphragizō, which meansto use a seal to close or to make something secure—’to seal, to put a seal on, to make secure.'”

Further, the Holy Spirit is also given as a guarantee of the seal and faithfulness of God in Christ. The Greek word from which we translate guarantee in this verse is arrabōn which means “the first or initial payment of money or assets, as a guarantee for the completion of a transaction or pledge (in the NT ἀρραβών is used only figuratively in referring to the Holy Spirit as the pledge or guarantee of the blessings promised by God)—’first installment, down payment, pledge, guarantee.'” Arrabōn is also used also in Ephesians 1:13-14.

What’s also interesting about this word arrabōn is that if the transaction is not completed, the deposit is forfeited. However, know that with God, the transaction (your redemption, your resurrection) will be finished!

Let this sink in for a moment. You have been marked by God, sealed securely by Him in Christ, who is always your yes. Further, the Holy Spirit has been given as a deposit, down payment money, a first installment, which guarantees full inheritance when the whole is paid latter!

First, the Holy Spirit is partial payment or pledge of our future joys and bliss in heaven! The Holy Spirit gives a foretaste or guarantee of things to come.

Secondly, the Holy Spirit’s presence is also a deposit on God’s promises to us. You can have assurance of the dreams and promises God has made because we are sealed in Christ and have the Holy Spirit as a deposit.

Delays occur, seasons can seem long, and we can grow weary (Gal. 6:9), but our Yes is in Christ and confirmed by the Holy Spirit—our guarantee of the inheritance to come and of what is available now!

The Holy Spirit Guarantee Provides:

  1. A kingdom perspective. Isaiah 9:7 (MEV), says, “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.” When world events are troubling, maintain a kingdom perspective. Remember, of the increase of His rule and peace there is no end! Allow the Lord’s presence and peace to sustain you.

As we start this new year, there is unrest in the Middle East, largely due to the Iranian regime. However, keep in mind that last year it was reported the church in Iran is the fastest-growing in the world!

Two factors are involved: Disillusion with the regime has led many Iranians to question their beliefs. Secondly, Iranian Christians have faithfully continued to tell others about Jesus in the face of persecution.

As a result, more Iranians have become Christians in the last 20 years than in the previous 13 centuries combined since Islam came to Iran. In 1979, there were an estimated 500 Christians from a Muslim background in Iran. Today, some estimate that there are nearly 1 million Christians in Iran!

  1. Confidence in kingdom promises. For example, there are promises of God’s provision:

“So, don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” (Matt. 6:31-33, NLT).

  1. Promises of answered prayer. Consider the following words that Jesus spoke regarding prayer:

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:14, MEV).

Then in the next chapter, “If you abide in Me … ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7, NKJV), and “Whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you” (John 15:16b).

Finally, “Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24b).

  1. Promises of healing. “These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed” (Mark 16:17-18, NLT).
  2. An eternal view of God’s kingdom. The Holy Spirit, the guarantee or deposit on what now is and what is to come, points us to eternity with Christ. He is our blessed hope, the fulfillment of all future hope! Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and He has promised that we too shall one day be resurrected with a glorified body forever to be with Him in God’s kingdom. Now that’s hope!

What has God promised you that you are still waiting on? Draw near to Him and rekindle those dreams and promises again. Commit your life afresh to Him at the start of this year. Determine to spend time with God in His Word, prayer, service and outreach to others. Believe for harvest!!

Church, God invites us into another outpouring of His Spirit. Don’t lose hope or grow weary, but press on to see the fullness of God’s promises to us. He will pour water on a dry and weary land when God’s people seek Him!

Prophetic Word for 2020: The Lord Says Your Drought Is Over

As we entered into a new decade and New Year, the Lord spoke to very clearly to me saying that the season of dryness, barrenness and desolation, spiritually speaking has come to an end. He reminded me of the story of the prophet in 1 Kings 18:41-46 (NKJV):

Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea. So, he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So, Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

The Lord spoke to me that many of His people have been praying for weeks, months and even years for rain as in pertains to breakthrough, financial provision, resources, increase, favor and wisdom to execute their purpose, calling and heart in the earth. God said that many of His people have been anticipating their breakthrough and prayers to be answered, but there was little or nothing in return.

His people felt, at times, that their prayers had fallen on deaf ears. But God said, “not so!” For He says that in this new season, era and decade, the drought is over! Elijah heard something profound while he put his face between his knees. He heard the sound of an abundance of rain before he actually saw rain.

The Lord says this will be the season and decade that your prayer requests and prophetic decrees are looking for you. However, we have to make sure we are careful when we pray for rain.

What do I mean by this? God said that there are those who pray for rain but can’t handle the mud. In other words, we pray for divine blessings and an outpouring of God’s provision, but are we ready to handle the work that comes with it?

Are we ready to handle to persecution, jealousy, envy, betrayal and slander at times that come with the blessings and favor of the Lord? As you pray for rain, make sure you are well-suited and booted up for the trials and tribulations that will try to hinder and slow down your momentum. We can pray for rain, but make sure you are well-equipped for the mud it creates. The Lord says the drought is over, and the rain is coming to fund your vision, dream and burden.

Oftentimes, it’s hard to hear what God is trying to convey to us when we are overwhelmed with life and daily responsibilities. But Elijah didn’t stop praying! He continued to pray until he saw what he heard manifest.

This is the season where what you have been waiting for and praying about is coming to pass suddenly! Elijah had the prophetic forecast of what was coming and needed another set of eyes to see what he heard. At the seventh time, the servant saw literally what Elijah heard in the spirit in prayer.

This is the time you are about to encounter what you have been hearing, sensing, feeling and discerning for the last seven years, weeks or even days come to pass in your life. Not only is the drought over, but the rain is coming to soak you. The Lord is coming in this particular season to give you supernatural velocity to outrun your adversary, enemies and opposition. You will be on schedule and given supernatural acceleration to your God-given vision, dream and purpose.

The enemy will look as though he has the advantage, but in due season you will outrun people, places and things that once tried to keep you in the wilderness. The heavens are opening over you, and the hand of God is coming like the cloud that Elijah’s servant saw. What you are praying for is looking for you.

The wait is over, and the drought is over too! This is reaping what you have sown in prayer in private, and God is going to bless you publicly for everyone to see His hand on your life, ministry, business, family, church, marriage and everything you are called to do in Him.

I come to encourage you that unusual rain of God’s blessings is finding you. The famine is broken because of the prayers and prophetic decrees released by the faithful. It will begin to look like spring in the winter.

The Lord also showed me that there are those who have been faithful in sowing, tithing and giving. He is going to open the floodgates of heaven in this new year. We are about to see a wealth transfer and those called to handle significant amount of wealth.

Malachi 3:10-11(BSB) declares: “‘Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,’ says the Lord of Hosts. ‘See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out for you blessing without measure. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your land, and the vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,'” says the Lord of Hosts.”

Do you realize that rain is in your mouth? You can, in this decade of the mouth and the Lord’s decree, ask, pray and decree rain in desert places. In James 5:16, we know the prayers of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Elijah was a man just like you and me. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again, the same prophet prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. With rain, there is work to be done. Elijah prayed for rain, and rain came. However, with the blessings of rain, there is a harvest field of crops that must be attended to.

We have all heard the phrase “April showers bring May flowers.” The rain softens the soil so you can plow it and seed it. In places like India and some parts of Africa, it’s imperative that the farmers get some rain to soften up the soil.

Drought causes the soil of the ground to become very difficult, hardened and almost rock-solid. The rains assist in softening the soil for seed planting. The rain essentially provides nourishment so the plants produce new life. In the spring season, you will see the flowers and trees beginning to bud.

New life is ready to break and spirit forth. The rain is good at producing new life! It’s imperative to pray and ask God for the rain!

Natural rain is needed, and this also applies to God’s spiritual rain: The rain of heaven promises to quench our thirst if we drink of it. The rain of heaven is coming to bring new life, purification, divine satisfaction and breakthrough in every dry, barren and desolate place in your life. Get ready to dance in the rain! {eoa}

Spirit-Filled Pastor: This Is Why You Keep Sinning With Food

Once a self-proclaimed “food addict,” Shane Idleman knew he had to change his eating habits or become a statistic he didn’t want any part of. In his research of the subject, Idleman discovered that 15% of the 40 to 80 million Americans who suffer from compulsive overeating will die from it.

The founder and lead pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Idleman has dedicated himself to helping people overcome their food addictions and to setting them on a biblical path to a godly, healthy lifestyle so they can reach their full potential in the kingdom.

One of the first steps, he says, is to purge yourself of unhealthy temptations.

“You need to remove the things from your house; get rid of the things that are bad and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lustful meaning,” Idleman told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Don’t plan ahead to sin. Just don’t have these things around.

“Take it to God. Get people around you, perhaps a support group that’s nearby. Listen to sermons on fasting or read books on fasting and health. Fall forward and get yourself motivated to do this.

“The Bible is very clear that we have to discipline ourselves. Paul said, ‘I discipline myself. I bring my body into subjection.’ The fruit of the Spirit is discipline. At our church, we focus on fasting—intermittent fasting—to remove the triggers. The first thing you must do is pray about this and ask God for His help if you have struggled in this area. Humble yourself, and in the process, you’ll bring the problem to light and He can solve it for you.”
