Does the Book of Enoch Offer Important Insight Into God’s Prophetic Calendar?

This week on April 6, we celebrate the beginning of the Jewish sacred year.

The Lord Himself specified that the sacred year would begin in the spring at the time of the Exodus (Ex. 12:2). In Egypt, the new year had begun in mid-July when the bright star Sirius rose in conjunction with the annual flooding of the Nile. By moving the new year to the beginning of spring, God wasn’t just differentiating His people from the Egyptians; He was restoring the year to its ancient parameters.

Even before the flood of Noah, Enoch’s calendar begins with the spring equinox. This calendar is contained in the book of Enoch, which was quoted in the New Testament and is a part of the Ethiopian church Bible. There is strong evidence that portions of the book may have actually originated with Enoch, including the fact that his astronomical observations come from an area far north of the Holy Land, perhaps from the Black Sea, which scientists admit was “recently” flooded under saltwater and could have been Noah’s home. In addition, Enoch’s calendar was made by observing the sun’s position on the horizon and was used in such ancient structures as Stonehenge and New Granage, but not in the historical Near East. For more information on Enoch, we recommend Dr. Randy Delp’s book, The Impact of the Book of Enoch on Christianity and Other Religions.

After the flood, Noah’s descendants settled in Mesopotamia, where the vast majority of the calendars adopted a springtime new year. Enoch had named his first month Temmani, linguistically similar to Temennu, the Babylonian name for the constellation Taurus (the bull). Taurus was, in fact, the constellation of the spring equinox in Enoch’s time and after the flood in ancient Mesopotamia. The preeminent place of Taurus the bull was recognized in many aspects of Middle Eastern pagan religion and life. An echo comes from the Hebrew alphabet, where the first letter is a bull pictograph. More interestingly, our first letter “A” resembles the Hyades star cluster, which houses Aldebaran (the governor), and which is the “eye” of the bull Taurus.

At the time Abraham was called in 2091 B.C., the precession of the equinoxes moved the spring equinox into the constellation Aries (the ram). This movement of the sign into the season of spring is a part of the prophetic celestial calendar (Gen. 1:14) and marked the beginning of the formation of a nation and a family to bring Christ, the seed of woman (Gen. 3:15) to earth. It is no coincidence that Abraham, who was promised that his seed would be the seed of woman (Gen. 15:5 and 22:18), was prevented from sacrificing his son, and a ram, symbolic of Christ, was sacrificed in his place (Gen. 22:13).

Two years before Jesus was born, in 7 B.C., the prophetic calendar had moved the constellation Pisces (the fish) into springtime. Pisces is a picture of two fish, representing the Jews and Gentiles, united to form the church. Jesus came to establish His church, and after His resurrection in the first month of spring in A.D. 30, the church was born at Pentecost. We are still living in the age of the church.

In the year 2121, the prophetic calendar will bring the constellation Aquarius (the water pourer) into the Spring season. The date can be changed if God makes a simple change in the precession of the equinoxes, and no one knows the day or the hour. Still, like the wise men who watched for the signs of Christ’s Advent, we should watch for the signs in the sun, moon and stars, which Jesus said would lead to His Second Coming (Luke 21:25).

So tonight after sunset, look to the west and see if you can find the now upside-down “A” in the eye of Taurus. Tell someone about the ancient springs that promised the coming of the seed of woman and the church. And don’t forget to mention the spring, promising the Second Coming. {eoa}

Inquisition Spirit Continues to Attack Trump After Mueller Report

The verdict from the Mueller investigation is in, and it looks like President Trump has been vindicated from charges that he colluded with the Russians during the 2016 election. Yet the inquisition lives on as Trump’s political opponents plan to keep digging in hopes of finding something to bring down his presidency, even as we have learned that Trump was targeted to be falsely accused, even before the election, by a cabal of government officials. But he is only the most visible victim of the inquisition spirit that has been loosed on America.

Over the past decade, it has become clear that FBI, the Justice Department, the IRS and other government agencies have been persecuting people for their political and religious views. Our courts have trampled on the religious definition of marriage and the so-called “progressives” want to use the power of government to force us to participate in gay marriage. This targeting of “incorrect” viewpoints is not progressive at all, as it contradicts our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and in fact takes us back to the spirit of the infamous Spanish Inquisition.

The Inquisition was the prototype of totalitarian systems designed to eliminate all belief contrary to the politically correct beliefs of the authorities. In the case of the Inquisition, the politically correct belief was a form of Roman Catholicism. Later emulators of the inquisition spirit tried to force compliance with the French Revolution, Nazism and Communism. Today the spirit of inquisition is rising in places like Venezuela, Turkey and Russia, where democracies are being converted into authoritarian governments. And the same trend is beginning to appear in the U.S., where the politically correct “progressive” beliefs in big government, sexual “freedom” and secularism are targeting those who believe in limited government and who hold Christian views.

The methods of the inquisition spirit have varied little down through history. First, the authorities gain control of the law enforcement mechanisms of society either directly, as in the case of the anti-Trump cabal, or indirectly, as in the Spanish Inquisition. Secondly, the power of government is used to find those who may have opposing views. Those who come to the attention of the government, whether “guilty” or not, are then made into an example to terrorize the population into compliance. As Stalin’s KGB Chief said, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.” Trump and others like Judge Kavanaugh are just the tip of the iceberg.

Yes, even in the U.S., with its legacy of freedom, the inquisition spirit is growing strong. The current American manifestation began on college campuses, where “progressives” have ended academic freedom and used the inquisition spirit to eliminate all politically incorrect speech, as is evidenced by riots when conservatives are invited to be speakers. The media’s longstanding bias against conservatives is spreading to businesses, as seen in the case of a man fired by Google for expressing his beliefs. Now people with religious convictions against abortion have been targeted by Obamacare, those who believe in traditional marriage have been penalized for refusing to participate in gay marriage ceremonies, and schools were told they cannot protect the privacy of their female students from transgender boys. Persecution has come to America.

As intercessors, we must realize that we do not struggle against the individuals, but against the inquisition spirit itself. This spirit comes directly from Satan, who is the accuser of the brethren (Rev. 12:10). We must pray that the Lord will bless our enemies with the knowledge of the Lord and a desire for freedom. We pray that the spirit of inquisition will be turned back in our government and business, and we pray for a revival of Christianity and freedom on the college campuses where the inquisition spirit began.

Above all, we pray that America will remain a free country where we can worship God without government persecution. {eoa}

Do Ezekiel’s 4 Cherubim Correspond to These Prophetic Signs?

There has been much speculation about the nature of the four “living creatures” known as cherubim seen in Ezekiel’s vision (Ezek. 1:5 and 10:14) and John’s vision (Rev. 4:7).

Whatever else they may signify, they have an amazing relationship to the celestial revelation of Christ in the stars which we call the Star Bible, and they are a part of the prophetic calendar contained in the stars. In fact, the Greek word for cherubim has the same root, zoe (“life”), as the word zodiac (“way of life”).

In the book of Genesis, we are told that God created the stars to be “signs to indicate seasons, and days, and years” (Gen. 1:12b). The earliest calendar we know of was developed by Enoch based on the signs, that is, the 12 constellations of zodiac, and the four cardinal seasonal points of the summer and winter solstices and spring and fall equinoxes. These four seasonal change points and the four constellations residing there form the faces of the four cherubim:

  1. The spring equinox in Enoch’s era contained the constellation Taurus (the bull). In Ezekiel 1:10 the Hebrew word for bull, showr, is mistranslated as “ox,” and in Revelation 4:7 the Greek word for bull, moschos, is mistranslated as “calf.” In actuality, the “ox” or “calf”-faced cherub represents Taurus (the bull).
  2. The summer solstice contained the constellation Leo (the lion), and that constellation is represented by the lion-faced cherub.
  3. The fall equinox was in the constellation Ophiuchus (the serpent held), which pictures a man holding a serpent and preparing to crush a scorpion (Scorpio), and which is usually considered part of Scorpio. The man-faced cherub pictures Ophiuchus.
  4. The winter solstice was in the constellation Aquarius (the water pourer). Nearby is the constellation Aquilla (the eagle), which pictures a wounded eagle and represents the crucifixion of Christ. The constellation also contains the star Altair (the wounding), which Chinese astronomers used to describe the part of the sky containing the star of Bethlehem in 5 BC. Aquilla is the basis of the eagle-faced cherub.

However, the signs and seasons represented by the cherubim did not remain in place. Enoch attributed the change to God shortening the year and moving the stars out of their prescribed order because of the sinfulness of mankind. We call it the precession of the equinoxes, a wobble in the Earth’s rotation which moves the stars backwards from the seasonal change points by about 20 minutes per year. By the time of the call of Abraham, in 2091 B.C., none of the signs at the seasonal change points corresponded to those reflected in the faces of the cherubim.

The changes in the signs and seasons are, in fact, the great prophetic calendar of the ages. Changes have occurred at the time of the food of Noah, the call of Abraham, Exodus, the exile, and the birth of Christ. And now, as we near the return of Christ, the cherubim will return to the seasonal change points. This change can be seen in the order in which the faces are listed, first on earth in Ezekiel, and secondly in heaven in Revelation:

  1. For the fall equinox, the man is replaced by the lion.
  2. For the summer solstice, the lion is replaced by the bull.
  3. For the winter solstice, the eagle is replaced by the man.
  4. And for spring equinox, the bull is replaced by the eagle.

This return of the cherubim in the signs and seasons to the cherubim is one of the signs in the sun, moon and stars of the return of Christ. It is currently scheduled to occur in A.D. 2121, but since no man knows the day or hour, this date can be changed by God simply by causing a change in Earth’s wobble.

But, like the wise men who knew the signs in the sun, moon and stars of Christ’s birth, we should nevertheless watch for the signs as we await the return of Christ.

So tonight, take a look at Taurus, Leo, Ophiuchus and Aquilla as they pass overhead. And tell someone Christ is coming soon.

Even so, come Lord Jesus! {eoa}

Happy Birthday, Jesus … in March?

March 23 this week will, we believe, mark the 2023rd anniversary of the birth of Jesus.

That’s right. We believe that we can put together the prophecies, historical data, astronomical data and Scripture to pinpoint the birth of Jesus to March 23, 5 B.C.

We know from Luke 3:23 that Jesus was about 30 when He began His ministry. The prophet Daniels tells us the year of Christ’s anointing would come 69 sevens, or 483 years, after the decree which sent Ezra to Jerusalem in 458 B.C. (Dan. 9:25). Doing the math and remembering that there is no year “0,” Daniel’s prophecy says Jesus would begin His ministry in A.D. 26. This year is backed up by two dates from Scripture. John the Baptist began his ministry in the 15th year of Tiberius, A.D. 25 (Luke 3:1), and Josephus said Jesus cleared the temple the first time 46 years after Herod began renovating it (John 2:20) in 20 B.C. or A.D. 27. Thus, many Bible scholars believe A.D. 26 is the year Jesus began his ministry. If He was 30 years old, remembering again that there is no year “0,” He would have been born in 5 B.C.

Jesus would have been born either in the spring or fall of the year according to the Scripture surrounding the birth of John the Baptist. John’s father, Zechariah was a member of the priestly order of Abijah (Luke 1:5) which, according to rabbinical sources, ministered at the temple in May and November. The angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah in the temple, and Zechariah would have gone home and probably conceived John the Baptist in June or December, so he would have been born nine months later in March or September. We know from Scripture that John the Baptist was six months older than Jesus (Luke 1:26) so Jesus would have been born in September or March of 5 B.C.

To find the exact time of year, we look to astronomy and archaeology. We know that there was a star which appeared when Jesus was born and that Magi from the East, possibly following the prophetic teachings of Daniel the Magi (Dan. 2:48), came looking for Him (Matt. 2:1,2). The Chinese also saw the star, identifying it as a nova that appeared in the spring of 5 B.C. and burned for 70 days. Dating the star of Bethlehem to the spring of 5 B.C. means that John the Baptist was conceived in December of 7 B.C., Jesus was conceived in June of 6 B.C., John the Baptist was born in September of 6 B.C. and Jesus was born in March of 5 B.C.

King Herod, the tyrannical ruler of Judea, had interviewed the Magi when they arrived in Jerusalem. According to our research, described in The Stars of His Coming (get free download here), there were signs in the sun, moon and stars surrounding the birth of Jesus beginning with Zechariah in 7 B.C. The Magi would have testified to the same date, and for that reason Herod ordered all of the children under 2 years old in Bethlehem to be killed. Josephus tells us that there was a lunar eclipse on Passover and that Herod died later that year. This lunar eclipse, or blood moon, occurred on March 23, 5 B.C. The blood moon occurred in the spring of 5 B.C., concurrent with the star of Bethlehem, but one additional piece of evidence is needed to suggest that this is the day Jesus was born.

We find it in Revelation 12:1-2, which describes a sign in the heavens, a woman clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet, at the moment of Christ’s birth. The woman clothed in the sun is the zodiacal constellation Virgo (The Virgin), which promises that God will send a Savior through virgin birth. Astronomical research shows that the blood moon of March 23, 5 B.C. occurred while the moon was in the feet of Virgo. Thus, Revelation 12:1-2 presents us with a picture of the night sky when Jesus was born, and that night was March 23, 5 B.C.

Of course, we know the whole world will continue to celebrate the birthday of Jesus on Dec. 25. In its way, it is fitting to celebrate the advent on the old Roman winter solstice, when it all began with the conception of John the Baptist around the winter solstice of 7 B.C. and signs in the sun, moon and stars began to appear.

Even so, it is nice to know His real birthday so we in His family can honor Him on His actual birthday.

Happy Birthday, Jesus! {eoa}

Heavenly Sign Reveals Prophetic Countdown

This week at about 10 p.m., the stars of the constellation Gemini (the united) will be directly overhead at the zenith point in the Southern U.S.

Gemini is one of the zodiacal constellations and is the 10th chapter of the Star Bible. The name means “the twins” in Greek, but in the ancient Hebrew, it means “the united.” It is a picture of two men standing together who are united as one. The first contains the bright star Pollux, meaning “he who comes to suffer” at its head, with the star Alhena, meaning “wounded,” at its feet. This figure corresponds to the first half of Genesis 3:15, where the seed of woman will be wounded in the heel, and is clearly a picture of the crucifixion and First Coming of Christ. The second figure has Castor, “the ruler” as its head and Mebsuth, “treading underfoot” at its feet. This speaks to the second half of Genesis 3:15 where the seed of woman crushes the head of the serpent, and represents the return of Christ. Together, the stars of Gemini tell us that the one who suffered will return to rule.

The bright stars of Gemini, Castor and Pollux, are also part of the prophetic calendar that produces signs in the sun, moon and stars surrounding both appearances of Christ. In 6 B.C., the precession of the equinoxes carried the star Pollux, “he who comes to suffer,” directly overhead at zenith in Jerusalem. This was a sign of the coming Advent of Christ and described His sacrificial death on the cross. That same year, the constellation Gemini entered the summer season. It was in the summer of 6 B.C., nine months before the star of Bethlehem appeared in the spring of 5 B.C., that we believe Gabriel appeared to Mary, and Christ was conceived.

Now, over 2000 years later, the precession of the equinoxes has carried the star Castor, “the ruler,” close to the zenith point over Jerusalem. This star is a sign of the Second Coming of Christ, when He will return to Jerusalem to rule on Earth. It will move to zenith over Jerusalem in A.D. 2121, as Gemini moves out of the summer season and Taurus (the bull), the sign of Christ’s Second Coming, moves in. While no one knows the day or hour of Christ’s return, we believe that the rebirth of Israel, likened to a fig tree by Jesus (Matt. 24:22), tells us that the prophetic summer season of His return is near. The movement of Castor toward Jerusalem zenith, along with the other signs in the sun, moon and stars, confirms that the prophetic calendar is counting down zero hour.

So look overhead tonight to Castor and Pollux, which mark the time between the First and Second Comings of Christ. And tell someone that there may only be a short time left to accept God’s offer of eternal life. {eoa}

How This Civil Rights Martyr Spared America From a Blood Bath

On Monday, Jan. 21, the U.S. celebrates the Martin Luther King holiday, honoring the life of an American hero and a Christian martyr.

Dr. King grew up in a world where many people believed that the black African people were inferior to the white Europeans. This belief, which was used to support slavery in the U.S. and the colonization of Africa by Europe, directly contradicts biblical teaching that all humans are from the same family and that God commands us to love our brothers. However, the rise of secularism and a Darwinistic view of the human race gave a scientific veneer to the myth of racial superiority. To their shame, even some churches went along with the lie. Modern science has now proven that all humans came from the same mother, as the Bible teaches, and that there is more genetic difference within the races than between them.

So Thomas Jefferson was right when he said all men are created equal. But making that statement a reality has been a long battle in the U.S. We fought the Civil War to end slavery, and the war brought God’s judgment, as one soldier died for each person left in slavery after the American Revolution, and the slaveholding South was devastated. Nevertheless, racial inequality was reborn in the Jim Crow system of laws that discriminated against black people in the South. After the Second World War, black servicemen who had proven themselves the equal of their white brothers found it more and more difficult to accept their oppression.

In many countries, oppressed minorities had taken up arms, but the U.S. was spared from this fate. Instead, a black Baptist pastor called on his people to use nonviolent Christian principles to bring about change. Dr. King’s Civil Rights crusade eventually bought an end to the Jim Crow laws and led to a broad level of reconciliation between the races. Sadly, he and many others gave their lives to bring about the nonviolent Civil Rights revolution.

We still have some work to do to reach Dr. King’s goal of a colorblind society and full racial reconciliation. But on this day, we celebrate a Baptist pastor who used Christian principles and his Christian faith to bring his white and black brothers together.

Let us pray that Dr. King’s memory will be honored by reconciliation and unity, and that those who would divide and promote hatred, whether white or black, will be exposed and repudiated. {eoa}

The Hidden Gospel Message in Sunday’s Super Blood Moon

On Jan. 20, the constellation Capricorn (The Goat) moves behind the sun.

Capricorn is the fifth chapter of the Star Bible, a very peculiar picture of a dying goat with the tail of a fish. The constellation and its three associated constellations of Aquila (the eagle), Sagitta (the arrow) and Delphinus (the dolphin) tell the story of the death and resurrection of Christ. Aquila (the eagle) is a picture of a falling eagle, containing the summer triangle star Altair (the wounding) along with other stars Alcair (the piercing) and Alokal (wounded in the heel), showing the death of the seed of woman, who was “bruised in the heel” (Gen. 3:15). The dying Capricorn goat reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice as the scapegoat for our sins (Lev. 16:15 and Heb. 9:24-28).

As the goat shows death, so the fish show life. Capricorn is pictured giving birth to a fish, showing life coming from Christ’s sacrifice. The constellation Delphinus (the dolphin) represents His resurrection and reminds us that He promised the “sign of Jonah,” being in the earth for three days as Jonah was in the fish for three days, and then coming forth (Matt. 12:39-40). The fish story continues with Pisces Austranis (the Southern fish), which pictures a fish opening its mouth to receive a stream of water from Aquarius (the water pourer) and represents the church receiving the Holy Spirit as the believers opened their mouths and spoke in tongues. Then we come to the constellation Pisces (the fish), a picture of two fish, representing the Jews and Gentiles joined together to form the church. No wonder the early church took the fish for its symbol.

This year on Jan. 20 in the late evening hours, there will be a special treat, a super blood moon, which reminds us that we are covered by the blood of the scapegoat and have overcome Satan by His blood and the word of our testimony (Rev. 12:11). As a further reminder, the red planet Mars, symbolic of the blood of Christ, is a resident in the Pisces, the fish constellation, representing the church Christ bought by His blood.

So enjoy a little fishing tonight, and tell someone about the celestial fish story and the power of the Blood of the Lamb. {eoa}

Exposing Demonic Roots of New Paganism That’s Reshaping America

Last week, New York Times columnist Ross Douthat wrote a provocative article entitled “Post-Christian Paganism Begins to Emerge” where he sees a new pagan religion beginning to take shape in America.

While 40 percent of Americans now claim to have had a religious awakening, double the number from the 1950s, there has been a splintering of the Christian consensus which prevailed in the 1950s. At the same time, the spiritless secularism that is so prevalent in modern times has not met the spiritual needs which are built into all humans. Douthat sees a new belief system arising which mixes spirituality into a secular world view.

This new spirituality denies a transcendental creator God and proposes that its gods are part of the natural world. The new belief system invites adherents to harmonize, that is, conform, to the world instead of rising above it and imposes no higher law or moral standards. In Douthat’s view, the denial of the transcendental God is why he considers the new spirituality to be pagan.

The new spirituality also invites followers to seek out spirits for aid and communion. We have seen increasing interest in ancient pagan sites like Stonehenge, Angkor Wat, Chitzen Itza and Chaco Canyon, where followers gathered to reestablish the old pagan link to the spirit world. New Age movements like Transcendental Meditation claim that followers can evolve into a higher form of being and become like gods themselves. We call it the godhood religion.

Douthat’s new paganism and its sister, the New Age Movement, are really not new at all. They originated in the Garden of Eden, when our first parents rebelled against God and decided to “be like God” (Gen. 3:5). This rebellion, which brought sin and death to the world (Rom. 5:12), is celebrated in New Age mythology as the discovery of our “luminous and immortal” nature. To the New Age, the serpent is the hero.

Another aspect of the pre-Flood religion was the apparent communion and sexual immortality between humans and the “nephilim,” meaning “fallen ones,” who apparently were demonic beings. The New Age religion also stresses demonic contact and sexual license. This immortality and direct communication with the kingdom of darkness in antediluvian society may explain why it became so utterly wicked (Gen. 6:5).

Thus, the New Age religion is the revival of the ancient godhood religion, which produced such total evil that it brought the judgment of Noah’s flood on mankind (Gen. 6:5-7). Perhaps this is why Jesus compared the times of His Second Coming to the times of Noah (Matt. 24:37-39).

The good news, according to Douthat, is that the New Pagans and New Agers have yet joined to create their new religion. But someday, the Bible says there is one coming who will lead the world astray, following a new religion not followed by his ancestors, worshipping a God of strength, and exalting himself as God (Daniel 11:37). We call him the Antichrist.

We thank God that the Antichrist has not appeared in our generation. Instead we live in the age of the great harvest, when millions are being added to the Kingdom of God.

But the revival of the ancient evil is a sign of the approaching end of the age. We must remain vigilant and take a stand in our time for the generations to follow so that they will not be deceived, loving the world and losing their souls to “post- Christian paganism,” the New Age movement or the darkness coming at the end of the age.

Pray that we will be found faithful in our generation. {eoa}

The Prophetic Significance of Next Week’s Super Blood Moon

On Sunday night, Jan. 20, 2019, there will be a super blood moon visible throughout the United States.

A blood moon, or lunar eclipse, occurs when the moon moves into the shadow of the Earth. The sunlight is refracted through the Earth’s atmosphere, giving the moon the reddish color which causes it to be called a blood moon.

In the Bible, the moon is the faithful witness in the sky, symbolic of the believers, (Ps. 89:37), while the sun symbolizes Christ the bridegroom and champion (Ps. 19:4-5). The apostle Peter, quoting from the prophet Joel, included blood moons in the signs of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the time of salvation before Christ returns (Acts 2:17-21). The red color of the moon reminds us that we are covered by the blood of the Lamb and have overcome Satan by our witness and the blood of the Lamb (Rev. 12:11).

The blood moon occurs in the constellation Cancer, which is the 11th chapter of the Star Bible, during the 11th month of the Hebrew sacred year, Shebat. In ancient times, the constellation Cancer was known in Arabic as Khan (“Inn”) and Cer (“Encompassing”) and in Hebrew as “To Hold,” both names which signify God’s holding place for His people in heaven. The eclipse will take place 7 degrees away from the Praesepe star cluster, which means “Multitude”. The name of the Hebrew 11th month, Shebat, is not of Hebrew origin and is similar to the Chaldee word for “Tribe”. Thus, the blood moon in Cancer during Shebat is reminding us that the blood-bought church is the tribe of God, and the multitude of believers will be with Him in heaven.

Echoing the blood moon, the red planet Mars, representing the blood of Jesus, will be in the constellation Pisces, a picture of the church, reminding us that heaven remains open to those saved by the blood of the Lamb.

The bood moon is also a “super moon.” This phenomenon occurs when a full moon is at its closest point to the Earth at the same time as the Earth is near its closest point to the sun, Jan. 2. The combined gravitational pull of the Earth and sun bring the moon closer to Earth, so that the Moon is 7 percent larger and 16 percent brighter. This super blood moon reminds us of the famous super moon of Jan. 26, 1948, which was also located in the sign of the home of God’s people, Cancer (the holding place) during the month of Shebat. It was later that year that the nation of Israel, home of God’s people on Earth, declared its independence. This super blood moon celebrates the nation of Israel and the many from the tribes of Israel who have accepted Christ and are a part of the multitudes who will be with God in heaven.

The super blood moon will be visible high in the Eastern sky before midnight, reaching totality at 9:41 p.m. CST.

So put on your coat, step out to see the super blood moon and tell someone how to join God’s tribe in heaven. {eoa}

Is India’s New Data System the End-Times Mark of the Beast?

According to a story published in The Wall Street Journal (“India’s Biometric Feat: Big Boon or Big Brother” by Newly Purnell, Dec. 22, 2018), the nation of India has implemented an electronic data system which can control access to goods and services for India’s 1.3 billion people.

If this sounds like the basis of a system where “No man may buy or sell, except he who has the mark,” (Rev. 13:17), read on.

In 2010, India set out to develop a system that would provide national identification numbers to allow citizens to have access to government welfare. Many Indians are illiterate and are so poor that they have no electricity. So, to reach people living in primitive conditions, the Indian government turned to the rapidly developing science of biometrics. Using eye scanners for iris patterns and fingerprint readers, even the poorest and least educated can now be read into the most sophisticated data system in the world.

The system is named “Aadhaar,” a Hindu word meaning “Foundation.” True to its name, other uses beyond the intended welfare payment controls are being built on the “Foundation.” Aadhaar 12-digit personal ID numbers are now required to open a bank account or obtain medical treatment. In many cases, the number is now required for school enrollment, train tickets, telephone purchases and even admission to sporting events. The Foundation has indeed been put in place for total government surveillance and economic control as described in Revelation 13:17.

Other governments have been watching the Indian program and are already using biometrics to control their populations. China uses fingerprint and facial recognition technology to suppress the Uighur people in Xinjiang province. They are planning a national system of ratings to limit or deny services and opportunities to those who are out of favor with the government, including Christians, who are coming under increased persecution. Authoritarian regimes around the world can be expected to follow.

So far, the democracies of the U.S. and Europe have not joined in the rush to use biometric data for economic control purposes. However, pressure for a “cashless” society continues to build from tech companies and big government advocates, and some businesses are now refusing to take cash. We must pray that our leaders will continue to stand for individual rights and against biometric controls.

Let us not be fearful but instead remind ourselves that we live in the greatest revival in history, when millions and millions of people are being added to the kingdom of God. Our prayers must also be focused on the great harvest.

But we must also be aware that before Christ returns, the Antichrist will come. His tool for economic control is in place in India, and we should watch the expansion of these biometric surveillance systems as another sign of Christ’s Second Coming

Even so, come, Lord Jesus. {eoa}
