Today’s Health Care Is ‘Sick Care,’ Leading Naturopathic Doctor Says

God gives us knowledge in various areas, but more than that, He gives us wisdom. And with all the health care issues our country faces today, we need to apply godly wisdom.

“If we ask Him for information, and He gives us information, but don’t ask for wisdom, we don’t know how to apply the information correctly, that becomes a bridge toward drifting into foolishness,” leading naturopathic doctor and health expert Mark Sherwood tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network.

“We are a Spirit who has a soul that lives in the body,” Sherwood, part of the speaker lineup for Clay Clark and Gen. Michael Flynn’s ReAwaken America Tour, says. “So while we’re walking the earth … we have to understand they all interact with one another. So in other words, we’ve done a very poor job in our world of separating.

“We’re going to go to church for our spiritual health; we’re going to go to the counselor for emotional health; and we’re going to go to the gym for physical health, when in reality, God is really about all those at the same time,” Sherwood says. “He wants us to be whole and healthy in all areas.”

Sherwood says 20% of America’s gross national product is tied to “this thing we erroneously call health care. Health care is not health care; it’s sick care. … What if 80 to 85% of these modern-day illnesses such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancers, autoimmune conditions, dementia, osteoporosis … were to go away? What would happen to our ability to not just take care of death but to live in prosperity, to live in the concept of healing, with the concept of what God intended?”

Jesus didn’t lay His hands on people or pray for them so they could manage disease, Sherwood says. Instead, He healed them.

“Again, we’ve got to understand that there’s God’s system, and there is man’s system,” Sherwood says. “God’s system is about healing; man’s system is about management. God system is about eliminating disease; man’s system is about profiting from disease.

Sherwood says the government has us in bondage because of its involvement in lifestyle and health and that we must instead return to God’s plan. This Prophetic Prayer May Bring the Righteous Reset That Saves Your Marriage

Sherri Downs has seen marriages come back from the brink. In addition to helping others work through their own marital issues, this author, prophetess, blogger, life coach and podcast host has experienced her own challenges in marriage.

But all of this has taught her one thing, she tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network: God cares about families, and He is at work to restore relationships.

“One thing He just began to show us is His heart for the family, especially revealing it so clearly why we’ve been in this pandemic and how strategic the shutdowns have been, and people have been given an opportunity to reset,” she says. Her latest book, Righteous Relationship Reset, explores that topic.

In her teaching and writing on marriage, Downs emphasizes the Holy Spirit’s power. Marriage is not a “one size fits all,” she says. “You have to really follow the leading of Holy Spirit. And one thing I’ve learned is you die for that person over and over again, as God would cause you to walk in obedience to bring that person and that person bring you to the destiny that God has for you.”

But Downs offers something greater than relationship tips or practical advice: the prophetic power of prayer. She asked the Lord to rebuild her own marriage, and she offers that prayer for others as well:

“I want to actually decree that over this audience: that they would invite God in to rebuild,” Downs says. “You may feel that your life is shattered; you may feel that it’s in a million pieces. … You may feel that there is no hope and you’re walking through the darkest of times. I just want to encourage you because you have to do this. And I want to prophetically speak that you would have the strength and the tenacity and the fire of God to invite God in and ask Him to help you to rebuild your life from the ruins that it might be in.

“So I just pray right now, for a guard around your life, that God would give you the necessary tools,” Downs says. “And those people around you who will be your prayer partners, who will be your encouragers, who will be your coaches, who will be those who are cheering you on, telling you, ‘It’s not over,’ tell you that God has a plan and a purpose for what you’re walking through.

“So I just prophesy a new day in Jesus’ name. I prophesy a new day over your husband. I prophesy a new day over you, over your ministries, over your children, and God wants to build a lasting legacy. Become God’s change agent in the earth, and do marriage His way, not the way of culture, not the way of your generational line. … God wants you to stand up and be a change agent for the kingdom of God, winning and living in abundance. In Jesus’ name.”

Mom, if You Get Your Parenting Tips From Social Media, Try This Instead

We find lots of mom-advice floating around out there these days. YouTube, podcasts and endless streams of social media tout tips on everything from potty training to reaching rebellious teens. But God already has a plan for teaching godly wisdom to mothers in place, Carol McLeod says, and it comes straight from Titus 2:3-4.

“I want to be the voice of a mother to the next generation of women,” she tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network, discussing her new book, Rooms of a Mother’s Heart. “I want younger moms to tap into the wisdom that I and some of my comrades have after raising children.

“You know, you don’t always need a peer in life,” she adds. “Sometimes you need somebody with some battle scars. You need realistic, not just idealistic. And so I want to be that mom.”

“Hold your babies,” McLeod says, pointing to what she identifies as one of her most significant words of wisdom. “You do not spoil a baby with affection or love or attention. That doesn’t spoil a baby; a baby comes with one need. And it’s not to be dry. Ant it’s actually not to be fed, but it is to be loved. And Mom, you got the job.”

McLeod says this need for love points to our need for the love of our heavenly Father. “Your child is going to learn who God is from the way you treat them. So if you are affectionate and loving and merciful and kind, that’s what they’re going to think about God in heaven. But if you’re stingy with your affection, if you’re cool with your emotions toward them, that’s what they’re going to think about Father God.

“So it’s important for parents to realize that we are the first taste of the Father relationship that our children ever get,” she says. “So reveal the character of God—even in the infant years.”

Rooms Mothers HeartBut what about families with older children? McLeod has godly words of advice for them as well. New Then-and-Now Photo Books Confirm Prophesied Restoration of Israel

When is a book more than a book?

When it reveals how ancient prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes—and opens our eyes to that fulfillment through captivating photographs. That’s the goal of Doug Hershey’s Ancient Prophecy/ Modern Lens series of books, the travel company owner, photographer and author tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. The series “looks at biblical prophecies and being able to capture some of the ongoing fulfillment through a modern lens, whether that be photography or some video,” Hershey says.

Israel Rising, the first book in the series, documents the revival of the land of Israel … and Jerusalem Rising specifically focuses on the restoration and revival of the city of Jerusalem,” Hershey says. “By using then-and-now photography of ‘What did the land or the city look like prior to 1948, before Israel was established, and what has happened since then in the scope of history, and kind of tying that all in with a view to what the Scriptures said would happen.

Hershey explains that Ezekiel 36 contains an amazing prophecy that, in his many trips to Israel, he has seen coming to life. “Ezekiel is told to prophesy to the land,” he says. “Sometimes we think prophecy in the Bible is spoken to people or kings … and Ezekiel is told, ‘Prophesy to the mountains, to the hills, the ravines and the valleys. And so he’s prophesying and speaking directly to the land.”

When the Jewish people were driven out of the land of Israel, the prophecy says, “the land will be empty and desolate and the mockery of the nations,” Hershey explains. But read below to see what happens as God’s people return:

” But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel. For they shall come soon. For I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it. And the cities shall be inhabited, and the waste places shall be built. And I will multiply man and beast upon you. And they shall increase and bring forth fruit. And I will settle you as you were before and do better to you than at the beginning. Thus you shall know that I am the Lord” (Ezek. 36:8-11).

Since 1948, the land of Israel has seen dramatic advancements. “The waste and forgotten cities are being rebuilt and inhabited again; God is really multiplying the people on the land,” Hershey says. “And the branches are putting forth fruit. And again, we’re finding that the things that God said would happen aren’t simply allegory or metaphor; He actually meant what He said. And He said what He meant, and it’s happening exactly as He said it would happen.”

Why This Heartbreaking Prophetic Vision Became a Calling—and a World-Changing Ministry

Back in 1987, Bob Hoskins saw a vision. God showed him a picture of Satan’s next target: the youth of the world.

“He really saw prophetically more than 30 years ago many things we’ve seen come true today, just how Satan was going to form his weapons of warfare over the next generation,” Hoskins’ son, Dr. Rob Hoskins, tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. That vision—and that passion for the welfare of children—birthed One Hope, a global ministry that seeks to transform the lives of children through the power of God’s Word.

“Even back then, he told me about in that vision where he saw kids watching pornography on the palms of their hands,” Hoskins says. “Well, this was before cellphones existed, but that’s what he was seeing. He just didn’t know what it was.

“And so we have seen over the last 30 years, a proliferation of the enemy’s attacks on children, I believe, like no other generation in the history of humanity,” Hoskins says.

The senior Hoskins’ response to the vision evokes the biblical picture of Isaiah: “Lord, what am I seeing, and what can I do?”

“The only thing that will overcome these lies is truth,” God told him. “And my Word is truth. Take my Word and give it to every child in the world.”

For the past 30-plus years, that clear word from God has served as One Hope’s call. Today, the organization has reached 1.7 billion children with copies of God’s Word in more than 600 languages. The ministry uses everything from printed literature to the most popular children’s Bible app in the world (over 60 million installations) to teaching ministries, church programming and more—all geared to share the truth of Scripture with the next generation and protect their souls from the enemy’s lies.

“Our passion is to go where the Word has never gone before,” Hoskins says. “Right now, 72% of all Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists have never had a personal encounter with a Christian. … We live in the age of globalization, we live in the age of the internet, but we really believe in equipping the church—and individuals and parents and ministries—to be able to connect with those who have never had a chance to hear the life-giving, transforming story of Jesus. That’s what our passion is.”

John Wimber’s First Healing Miracle Shows Why We Still Need the Holy Spirit

“I’m afraid sometimes the Holy Spirit stands at the back of our churches with his arms folded and can’t really do anything because we’ve got it all figured out.”

Author Dean Merrill says this quote from Agnes Sanford, who founded the inner healing movement, still applies today. He tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network that the Holy Spirit must be saying, “Well, you people think you know what you’re doing. Just go ahead and do your things, I guess, because it seems like you don’t need Me anymore.”

Merrill’s new book, 50 Pentecostal and Charismatic Leaders Every Christian Should Know, shares the stories of Spirit-filled leaders from as far back as Maria Woodworth Etter all the way up to Gateway Church’s Robert Morris and beyond. Believers today have much to learn from these leaders about the Holy Spirit’s power, Merrill says, pointing to a story from the early days of the late John Wimber’s ministry.

“He’s starting this little church in Anaheim, California,” Merrill says. “He’s preaching through the Gospel of Luke. And time and again in Luke, you get these healing stories, probably more than in any other Gospel.”

The church was meeting in a gymnasium, and Merrill says Wimber gave an invitation for those in need of healing: “Come up on the platform. We’ll pray for you.”

“And the trouble is, nobody’s getting healed. Just nobody. It is so discouraging,” Merrill says.

Nine or ten months went by with no healings until one Monday morning, Wimber’s phone rang. A man who had just started attending his church asked him to come over and pray for his wife.

“Pastor, I need your help. I just got a new job. This is my first day on the job. I have to go to work, and my wife is sick. … she’s got a terrible fever; she can’t get out of bed. Who’s going to take care of the kids? You’ve got to come over and pray for her.”

Wimber reluctantly obliged, praying over the woman in what Merrill says he described as a “short, faithless prayer.”

“And then I turned around, and I started explaining to the man, ‘Well, you know, sometimes we don’t know how these things work, and healing is sometimes ….’ I had this speech down pat; I remember,” Wimber said of his response after the prayer.

“‘And the guy isn’t looking at me,” Wimber recalled. “He’s looking over my shoulder, and there’s this big smile on his face. And I turn around, and the woman is sitting up on the edge of the bed; she’s looking great. And I go, ‘Well, what happened here?'”

The woman told Wimber she felt fine and even offered to make him some breakfast, Merrill says.

“I went out to the car, drove a block away, and I’m shouting, ‘We got one! We got one!'” Wimber said.

That began a healing ministry that went all through what became the Vineyard movement, Merrill says, sharing another quote from Wimber: “I’d rather lay hands on 100 people and have only 1 healed than to lay hands on nobody and have nobody healed.”

How This ‘Fear of Missing Out’ Can Drive Us Straight to Holy Spirit’s Supernatural Power

Have you experienced FOMO, the fear of missing out?

We tend to think of it as something suffered by the insecure—a fear of missing out on a cultural trend or experience. “Not for believers,” we say. But when FOMO drives us to experience more of the Holy Spirit, it becomes a positive for now and for eternity.

That’s exactly what happened to author Jeannie Cunnion, she tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “I began to realize that there are just so many of us who don’t know all that the Holy Spirit is intended to do for us and in us and through us,” she says. “And I realized I had been missing out.”

“Like the FOMO that we talk about so often in society, the fear of missing out, it’s really about, ‘Don’t miss out on this incredible gift that God has already deposited inside of you,” she says. “Don’t miss out on this gift you’ve already received if you’ve put your trust in Jesus. Don’t miss out on the benefits.”

Cunnion’s new book, Don’t Miss Out: Daring to Believe Life Is Better With the Holy Spirit (Bethany House) brings together 30 incredible benefits of the Holy Spirit to help readers experience Him in a deeper, richer way.

Christians tend to neglect the Holy Spirit, Cunnion says. “It’s very natural to start the day a certain way and kind of take off running in your own strength and at your own pace. And one of the most delightful things within writing Don’t Miss Out has been just this sweet awareness of His presence with me throughout the day. And what’s so beautiful about that is this gift, this experience, is for every Christian.”

Dont Miss OutBut wait, there’s more—when it comes to the Holy Spirit’s intimate presence. “I truly believe it really is the key to living that free, abundant, thriving Christian life that Jesus came and died and rose again to give us,” Cunnion says. “He told us in John Chapter 16 that it is better for us that He go back to the Father so that the Holy Spirit would come. It just blows my mind to think that my whole Christian life, I just kind of skimmed right over that passage. I never really sat with the significance of what Jesus said there—that it’s to our advantage, that it’s for our benefit that He go back to the Father, so that the Holy Spirit would come. … We’re not dependent on physical presence, but now His Spirit takes up residence inside of us and gives us everything we need.”

How a Prophetic Vision Led to a Season of Prayer That Forever Changed Amsterdam’s Red-Light District

The Netherlands’ capital city of Amsterdam is known throughout the world for its many canals, historic homes—and red-light district.

“When the Lord called us to plant a church in Amsterdam, we knew we needed to pray,” Dr. Arleen Westerhof tells Dr. Steve Greene received on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “It’s a tough city—or it used to be a tough city. And so we started to pray.”

Through the years, those prayers have borne amazing fruit, including changed lives that have changed the face—and the statistics—of the area known for its sin and degradation.

As the Westerhofs prayed in the red-light district, her husband “kept getting the same picture of men holding large red flags, large banners, at the corners of the 12 roads leading into the red-light district,” she says. “And he said, ‘Lord, if this is You, give it to me three times, because I really need to know.’ And indeed, he received that vision three times, three different occasions. And so he knew he had to act.”

When he shared his vision in church, he said, “You know what? I don’t know. But I’ve got to do it. Who’s going to come with me?”

A total of 50 men stood up, Westerhof says. They took large red flags—the kind used in worship—with them the first night as they went out to pray in the city’s most infamous section.

“They went out on the street, two by two on the corners of these 12-year-olds, and then they switched locations,” she says. They went to a new corner every few minutes.

“When they came back, they had had more than 240 conversations with people about the Lord Jesus Christ,” Weserhof says. “Forty people had asked Christ into their hearts.

“And that was amazing in and of itself,” she adds. “People came up to them and said, ‘What are you doing with the flags?’ And they just said, ‘You know what? We’re standing here; we’re praying the Blood of Jesus Christ out of this neighborhood for the forgiveness of sins, because God has a purpose for these women, and He has a better purpose for this neighborhood. And people loved it.”

The couple and the prayer warriors from their church thought they would only carry out that prayer ministry for a brief season, Westerhof says. “We had an idea that we would do that six or seven times and then go home—Jericho strategy: circle, shut the walls down and go home. After the seventh time, we were picking up the flags, and the Lord said, ‘What are you doing?’

“And I remember clearly saying out loud, ‘Lord, we’ve done what You told us to do,” Westerhof says.

“And He said, ‘I didn’t tell you to stop.'”

To find out how long the Lord kept that red-light prayer ministry going, and the resultant drop in prostitution in Amsterdam, listen to the entire episode of Greenelines at this link, and subscribe to Greenelines on your favorite podcast platform for more inspiring stories like this one. Michael Snyder Says Scripture’s 7-Year Apocalypse Is ‘At the Door’

Believers know that God often uses dreams to communicate truth. In Scripture, it happened to Jacob. It happened to Joseph. And it happens to people today.

“Sometimes God gives us what’s called a recurring dream, where you have the same dream, and then you have it over and over again,” Michael Snyder tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. His own recurring dream, he says, has moved him to make a startling proclamation: The biblical seven-year apocalypse will be here before we know it—and we must be ready.

“The vast majority of people who are alive on earth today are going to enter the seven-year apocalypse,” Snyder says. He came to this conclusion after a recurring dream in which he saw a door, “where thick red blood had completely covered the doorstep and everything around it.”

He knew blood could mean death, war, destruction or almost any negative imagery. But the doorstep added an extra dimension. “In the Bible, when we read something’s ‘at the door,’ well, what does that mean?” Snyder asks. “It means something’s close, something’s near something’s imminent, and something in time or proximity, something’s very, very close.”

After more research, Snyder concluded that the unrest surrounding the election, the violence that has plagued our cities and of course the COVID-19 pandemic all brought an acceleration of death into the world. But he believes the blood on the doorstep in his repeated dream meant an even greater acceleration of death that points to what Scripture describes as a seven-year apocalypse.

“God has warned us in advance,” Snyder says. “In fact, God spent an extraordinary amount of time in the Scriptures very focused on the seven-year period before then Jesus finally returns to this earth, sets up His millennial reign and reigns for 1,000 years.”

Snyder paraphrases Jesus’ Matthew 24 description of the apocalypse this way: “Hey, look, this is going to be the worst time in all human history; there’s never been a time like that before. There’s never going to be a time like it again.”

Snyder says believers must be ready for this terrible time, and he writes about it in his new book, 7-Year Apocalypse. But despite the coming doom, he also sees reason for hope.

“I believe all the shaking, there’s a redemptive purpose in it … Multitudes are going to realize their need for the Messiah,” he explains. “And I believe we’re going to see the greatest harvest of souls in all of human history, and the greatest move of God the world has ever seen.”

Has God Called You to the Mountain of Politics? Here’s the Training You Need to Climb It

“How many people in your congregation have had the urge of the Holy Spirit to get involved in politics?”

That’s the question Aamon Ross asked a pastor a few months ago, he tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. The answer to his question—from the people, not the pastor—further spurred him in his efforts to equip believers for active participation in politics.

“I have no idea,” the pastor told him.

“So why don’t you just go out there and ask them, say, ‘From 8 years old until today, how many of you have ever thought about how to discern or know that you’re called to go into this space?'” Ross suggested his pastor friend ask.

The pastor went out on the platform and asked that question, Ross says, “And 40% of his church raised their hands.”

“I had no idea,” the pastor told him afterward.

“Most of what I’m finding across the country is that there are so many believers who want to take a leadership role in their community, whether it is school board, or city council, or county commission or state representative, and if they just had a little encouragement from the shepherds, right from the pastors, they would be so inspired to take that next step and say yes,” Ross explains.

Ross designed his ministry, Kingdom in Politics, to provide encouragement as well as practical, proven help for those God has called to scale the mountain of politics. After helping his longtime friend Kevin Stitt win his race as governor of Oklahoma—with neither Ross nor Stitt having previous political experience—God gave this successful businessman a burden to help other believers called to politics fulfill God’s destiny for their lives.

“All you have to do is turn on the television or look at social media that is to see how divided and devastated our country is right now,” Ross says. “And it really goes back 60 years when the church made an active decision to never do anything or impact or influence politics. And that’s where we’re at today; we’re reaping what we’ve sown into this space.”
