Earthquake Swarm in Nevada Raises Fears Over Ancient Supervolcano

The year 2025 has already seen an unusual amount of earthquake activity worldwide, leaving many to wonder if there is a deeper meaning behind these tremors. From devastating quakes overseas to swarms in the United States, questions are being raised about whether these shaking events are only natural or if they point to something more.

Northern Nevada has been rattled by a series of earthquakes that has some residents and online observers worried about what may come next. According to the US Geological Survey, “a 3.7 and 3.2-magnitude earthquake were recorded Tuesday morning just after 9:30am ET.”

The pair of quakes struck about 30 miles from Valmy, a small town near several active fault lines. In the past week alone, 38 earthquakes were recorded around the region, including a 4.8-magnitude event on Saturday. While most quakes between 3.0 and 5.0 are only strong enough to cause minor damage, the number of swarms has captured attention.

The Daily Mail reported that “the swarms were likely driven by tectonic forces along the fault systems of the Basin and Range Province.” Yet some online voices are pointing to the nearby McDermitt Volcanic Field, a massive ancient caldera that formed 16 million years ago. The earthquakes have occurred less than 75 miles away, prompting speculation about a possible eruption. One social media account with over 83,000 followers claimed that Nevada’s swarm could even set off “a major earthquake in California.”

Scientists are working to ease public concern. The McDermitt supervolcano is classified as dormant, and there is no evidence it is reawakening. NASA explained, “The Earth’s crust in the Basin and Range Province is gradually expanding, cracking into hundreds of faults as it thins.” This stretching of the crust is what makes the region one of the most seismically active in the nation, not underground magma chambers.

Looking at the Signs

For believers, these events serve as a reminder of what Jesus told His disciples. In Matthew 24, He warned that “there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” Earthquakes, along with other natural and societal upheavals, were described as signals that the world is moving closer to His return.

These signs are not meant to drive fear but to inspire vigilance and faithfulness. Just as the Nevada swarm highlights the fragility of the earth beneath our feet, Scripture points us to the unshakable foundation found in Christ. For Christians, the call is to live watchfully, share the gospel, and find hope in the promise that “when you shall see all these things, you know that it is near, even at the doors” (Matt. 24:33).

Blood Moon, Feast Days and UN Meetings: Why September Has Prophecy Watchers on Alert

Talk about the month of September has swept across Christian watch communities, with many pointing to celestial events, Jewish feast days and Middle East tensions as possible prophetic signs. For some, the coming weeks are charged with expectation about the rapture of the church and global shifts that could fulfill Bible prophecy.

On his Watchman River podcast, Tom Cote acknowledged the heightened focus on this month but urged balance. “Many are saying this is the month of the rapture,” Cote said. “Anyone who’s watched me for any length of time knows that I’m excited every single day. I’m no more excited today than I was yesterday and I will be no more excited tomorrow than I am today.”

He pointed to the Jewish feast days as particularly noteworthy. “Am I excited about September 23rd, Rosh Hashanah? Yeah. And every day leading up to it and I’ll be excited after it if it doesn’t happen that day,” he said. Cote added, “If I ever put my hope in a date and that date passed, I’ve never done it. I won’t put my hope in a date. Only my hope in Jesus because his timing is so perfect.”

Key events this month

Cote listed multiple September markers drawing attention in prophecy circles. Among them are a blood moon eclipse on Sept. 7, a partial solar eclipse on Sept. 21 and the fall equinox on Sept. 22. He also noted that the 80th United Nations General Assembly opens this month and may push Israel toward a two-state solution.

“I’m keeping a close eye in these last days on the Middle East,” he said. “It looks like it’s getting ready. It could boil over at any time. Once again, you know, Israel did quite a few attacks over the weekend.”

To frame the speculation, Cote asked listeners to weigh in using a food analogy: “Is September a big juicy burger in regards to eschatology and perhaps the rapture of the church or the starting of the seven-year tribulation… or is September a nothing burger?”

Call for discernment

While many point to September as a month of prophetic significance, Cote reminded his audience to anchor their hope in Christ. He expressed support for watching and waiting but resisted speculation tied to dates. “I won’t squash anyone’s excitement over them watching and looking and waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of Jesus Christ our savior,” he said.

As believers look at the signs of the times, discernment is essential. Scripture warns against setting dates for the return of Christ, affirming that no one knows the day or the hour. The call remains to stay watchful, prayerful and ready, fixing hope on the Lord’s timing rather than the calendar.

Europe Mobilizes for War as Jesus’ Warnings Come Alive

The headlines in Europe are no longer whispers of possibility but open declarations of preparation for war. France is ordering its hospitals to brace for a flood of wounded soldiers, Germany is sounding alarms about Russia’s next moves and governments are mobilizing their people to be ready for large scale crises. For those who study biblical prophecy, they know this is not just politics or strategy. Jesus warned of “wars and rumors of wars” as a sign of the end times, and these preparations reveal how nations are paving the way for a coming world leader who will promise peace but bring deception.

France Orders Hospitals to Prepare for War as Europe Braces for Rising Tensions

Hospitals across France have been told to prepare for what officials call a “major engagement” by March 2026 amid fears of a continental conflict. Documents revealed by French newspaper Le Canard Enchaîné show the French Ministry of Health directing medical facilities to ready themselves for an influx of wounded soldiers.

The directive urges hospitals to “anticipate, prepare and respond” to the potentially huge number of injured, including foreign military patients who could need urgent treatment in civilian hospitals. Officials stressed the importance of merging “defense needs” into everyday health planning. A ministry statement noted, “Among the risks identified is the hypothesis of a major engagement where the health issue would consist of taking care of a potentially high influx of victims from abroad.”

Germany has also raised the alarm. Chief of Defence Carsten Breuer warned about Russia’s Zapad 2025 military drills in Belarus, saying there is “no indication” that President Vladimir Putin will use the exercises as cover for an attack but added, “We will be on our guard.”

The preparations are not limited to hospitals. Earlier this year the French government distributed a 20-page survival manual outlining 63 different measures for emergencies, including war, natural disasters and nuclear incidents. Citizens were encouraged to join reserve forces or local defense units. A spokesperson from the Prime Minister’s office said the guide is designed to bolster “the resilience of populations in the face of all types of crisis, whether natural, technological, cyber, or security-related.”

While these steps are presented as practical measures of national defense, they reveal a larger trend. Europe is openly preparing its populations for war, and governments are taking steps that could grant them greater control over civilian life. This fits into the warnings of Scripture, showing how global turmoil can be used to usher in the authority of the Antichrist.

These developments are reminders not of despair but of hope. They point to the fulfillment of prophecy and the soon coming of Jesus, urging us to remain watchful and steadfast in faith.

Erasing the Church: Evangelicals Facing Brutality from Oppressive Regime

A new documentary sheds light on the persecution of evangelical Christians in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine.

Colby Barrett, executive producer of “A Faith Under Siege,” traveled along the front lines, from Kharkiv to Kherson, interviewing dozens of believers who have faced violence and oppression. Despite Russia’s public identity as a Christian nation, evangelicals such as Baptists and Pentecostals have been singled out, viewed as foreign or American faiths and therefore as potential threats to Russian control.

The report highlights alarming statistics that show disproportionate targeting. Hundreds of Protestant churches have been destroyed or looted and nearly half of the religious leaders killed in the conflict have come from Protestant communities, even though they make up only a small percentage of the Ukrainian population. The film also documents the abduction of thousands of Ukrainian children, many of whom were taken into Russia or placed in military camps.

Gen Z Is Turning to Jesus Amid Rising Cultural Pressures

A new documentary highlighting revival among Generation Z premiered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, drawing faith leaders and Christian figures who believe young people are increasingly turning to God.

“The Revival Generation,” produced by the Christian Broadcasting Network’s Abigail Robertson, debuted last Wednesday as reported by The Christian Post. The film highlights recent revivals on college campuses, including Auburn University in 2023, where thousands gathered for worship and hundreds were baptized in a campus pond despite freezing weather.

Tim Robertson, son of the late CBN founder Pat Robertson, said young people are rejecting the instability of the values passed down to them. “Young people are looking at some of the values they’ve been given from a very permissive generation that’s older, and they want to find some stability in their lives,” he said. “And obviously Christianity gives them that stability, and it gives them a rock and an anchor.”

Ralph Reed, founder of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, said financial pressures and cultural challenges are pushing this generation toward faith. “I think this is the toughest time to be a young person entering the workforce, seeking to buy your first home and begin your career, since the stagflation of the 1970s,” he said. “So I think there’s a reason why they’re turning to God.”

The film also spotlights the UniteUS movement founded by Tonya Prewett, whose daughter battled addiction and suicidal thoughts. Prewett said she hopes the film will stir faith in viewers. “I hope it will ignite something inside of them: number one, to get saved; number two, to know that they have a purpose; and number three, to make a difference where they are,” she said.

Robertson said the film shows how Gen Z is encountering faith in a unique way. “Gen Z is a generation that loves authenticity, and that is why they love the Gospel message,” she said. “They feel the love of Jesus Christ, and that’s what they want. They want more of it. It feels real, it’s authentic.”

This is Why the Future of Work Will Be Decided by Prophecy, Not Technology

As artificial intelligence wipes out entry-level jobs and reshapes the labor market, billionaires are pushing a bold new vision: humanity’s future lies in space. Fortune recently reported that “the secret to finding an AI-proof job may lie in space,” highlighting predictions from Sam Altman, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos that young professionals could be exploring the solar system within a decade.

But if the Bible is true, as believers know it is, the odds are that humanity will never become a spacefaring race. The lofty dreams of billionaires may capture headlines but they serve more as distractions from the true mission God has given His people, to fulfill the Great Commission and remain faithful to His Word here on Earth.

The Billionaires’ Pitch for Space

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, suggested that by 2035, “that graduating college student, if they still go to college at all, could very well be leaving on a mission to explore the solar system on a spaceship in some completely new, exciting, super well-paid, super interesting job.”

Elon Musk continues to push toward Mars colonization, hoping to launch unmanned missions in the next few years and send a crewed flight by 2028. “I’d like to die on Mars, just not on impact,” he once quipped.

Jeff Bezos believes Blue Origin will eventually surpass Amazon, saying it will usher in “a future where millions of people will live and work in space with a single-minded purpose: to restore and sustain Earth.”

Gates Pushes Back

Bill Gates offers a more grounded perspective. “Space? We have a lot to do here on Earth,” he said. He noted the immense costs of reaching Mars and contrasted them with the life-saving impact of spending those funds on global health. “You can buy measles vaccines and save lives for a thousand dollars per life saved. It just kind of grounds you. Don’t go to Mars.”

A Biblical Reality Check

While billionaires spin visions of humanity building civilizations among the stars, the Word of God tells us something very different. Jesus did not command His disciples to conquer planets but to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19). The Bible points forward not to human expansion across galaxies but to Christ’s return and the establishment of His Kingdom here on Earth.

For all of humanity’s technological ambitions, Scripture reminds us that history is moving toward a divine conclusion on Earth, not a future of endless exploration in space.

AI, UBI and the Coming Beast System

At the same time billionaires talk of colonies on Mars, artificial intelligence is accelerating the collapse of traditional jobs. Entry-level work is vanishing, leaving a generation of young people increasingly open to alternatives like Universal Basic Income. Gen Z in particular supports UBI far more than previous generations, seeing it as protection against automation.

Yet UBI, often championed by Silicon Valley elites, comes with profound risks. By placing people’s financial survival under centralized systems, it creates the framework for the kind of global control the Bible warns about. Revelation describes a world where “no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark” (Rev. 13:17). AI-driven automation leading to financial dependence on government-issued income is a clear precursor to such a system.

What is being presented as a solution to inequality may in reality be one of the pillars of the Beast system, a mechanism to track, restrict and control the economic lives of billions.

Staying Focused on the True Mission

The dreams of Altman, Musk and Bezos may sound inspiring but they risk diverting attention from what really matters. The task of the Church is not to follow billionaires into space but to lift up the gospel, disciple the nations and live faithfully in preparation for Christ’s return.

The future of work may be uncertain but the future of God’s people is not. It is found not in the stars but in the promises of Scripture.

12 Key Facts on the Antichrist: What He Is and Is Not

The figure of the Antichrist is one of the most studied and speculated about in biblical prophecy. Revelation 13 describes a beast rising from the sea, empowered by Satan, who blasphemes God, deceives the nations and rules with global authority. Throughout history, countless names have been suggested, from Roman emperors to modern political leaders, yet Scripture provides its own detailed description of what this figure will be like.

Pastor Billy Crone addressed the subject directly in a recent teaching, dismissing modern speculation and urging believers to return to the Bible. “Stop watching YouTube videos. Get off of social media. And get back to the Bible,” he said. Crone explained that claims about Donald Trump or other figures being the Antichrist are distractions, while Revelation, Daniel and 2 Thessalonians already reveal the Antichrist’s true nature.

Order Jonathan Cahn’s Newest Book, “The Avatar” on Amazon.com!

What the Antichrist Will Be

  1. The Opposite of Christ
Crone emphasized the contrast, saying, “Everything Jesus is, he’s anti. Jesus is good. He’s holy. He’s kind. He’s merciful. The Antichrist is the opposite. He is bad. He is unholy. He’s mean. He’s vengeful. He is satanic” (Rev. 13:1–9).
  2. Empowered by Satan
From Revelation 13:2, Crone noted, “The dragon defined by Revelation 12 clearly as Satan … gave the beast or the Antichrist his power and his throne and great authority.” This supernatural empowerment fuels his blasphemous rule.
  3. Blasphemous and proud
Citing Revelation 13:5–6, Crone explained that the Antichrist “was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for 42 months.” He will mock God and demand worship.
  4. A Global Ruler
Revelation 13:7 confirms the extent of his dominion: “It was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.” Crone highlighted this to show the Antichrist’s control is planet-wide, not local.
  5. A Gentile of Roman Origin
Rejecting claims of Jewish lineage, Crone argued from Daniel 9:26–27 that “he’ll be of the same ethnic identity as the people who destroyed the city and the temple … and in AD 70 it was the Romans.” For that reason, he said, the Antichrist will come from Roman Gentile descent.
  6. A Self-deifying Figure
Quoting Daniel 11 and 2 Thessalonians 2, Crone declared, “He will not believe in any god except for himself. … He will claim to be greater than any god … claiming himself to be God.”
  7. A Conqueror of the Saints
Revelation 13:7 describes the Antichrist making war against believers in the tribulation period. Crone stressed, “He’s given power to make war against the saints … and to conquer them.”

What the Antichrist Will Not Be

  1. Not Donald Trump
Addressing online theories, Crone said, “Many people are getting confused … including that Trump is the Antichrist, and it ain’t helping the cause.” He mocked claims that the “little horn” refers to a trumpet and therefore to Trump, noting that biblically, horns symbolize power, not names.
  2. Not Jewish
Crone rejected the idea of a Jewish Antichrist, saying it “messes up the prophetic sequence” because the Antichrist leads the final Gentile empire, not Israel (Dan. 9:26).
  3. Not Muslim
He critiqued popular theories, pointing to 2 Thessalonians 2: “What Muslim would ever proclaim himself to be God? And yet that is exactly what we are told the Antichrist will do.” He added that such a figure would be instantly rejected in Islam.
  4. Not historical rulers
Crone listed Nero, Napoleon, Hitler, JFK and Ronald Reagan as examples of false identifications. “People have been speculating … ever since this figure was revealed in the Scripture nearly 2,000 years ago,” he said, dismissing numerological tricks and conspiracies that linked them to 666.
  5. Not modern elites accused today
Crone pointed to common suspects such as Elon Musk, Hillary Clinton, King Charles and George Soros but focused specifically on Bill Gates as an example. He noted that some accuse Gates of being the Antichrist because of his push for universal, trackable microchips. Crone responded directly: “He’s not the Antichrist. I think he’s working for the Antichrist, but he’s not the Antichrist.”

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

Crone contended that the Antichrist will not be revealed until after the rapture, when 10 kings rise and an 11th, the “little horn,” emerges in power (Dan. 7:24). He urged believers not to chase theories but to fix their hope on Christ. “I’m not looking for the Antichrist,” Crone said. “I’m looking for Jesus Christ.”

Historic: Record Numbers Gather at the Temple Mount as Jewish Worship Grows

A record number of Jewish worshippers are making their way to the Temple Mount in 2025, signaling a rising desire among the people of Israel to connect with their holiest site. This renewed interest reflects not only a cultural and religious awakening but also the stirring of biblical prophecy that points to the centrality of Jerusalem in the last days.

As reported by JNS, 54,231 Jews have ascended the Temple Mount since the start of 2025, including 7,500 during the Hebrew month of Av. More than 950 Jewish worshippers entered the site on Rosh Chodesh Elul alone, marking the start of the new Hebrew month. These numbers represent a 15% increase compared to last year’s totals during Av, showing a steady and growing desire among the Jewish people to return to the place where the Temple once stood.

This movement has not gone unnoticed. Leaders such as Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir have encouraged access to the Mount, and thousands have responded, particularly during significant days like Tisha B’Av, the national day of mourning. On that day alone this year, some 4,000 Jews visited and prayed on the Temple Mount, according to the report.

For those who look at today’s events through the biblical lens, these developments carry prophetic significance. Scripture points to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount as central in the unfolding of end times prophecy. The renewed attention and consistent rise in worship at this sacred location serve as reminders that a push for the rebuilding of the Temple is becoming more energized. What once seemed distant is becoming more tangible as hearts turn again toward Zion.

At the same time, believers are reminded to stay discerning. As the world shifts and prophetic signs continue to appear, our calling remains unchanged. We are to proclaim the hope of the gospel, shining the light of Jesus Christ to a world that desperately needs Him. The growth of Jewish worship at the Temple Mount is a powerful sign of the times, but it also points us to the urgency of never ceasing to share the Good News.

From Genesis to Revelation: Why All of God’s Word Still Applies

For some believers today, the Old Testament is often viewed as outdated or irrelevant. A few assume that when Jesus came, the Hebrew Scriptures were set aside. But such thinking misses the foundation of the New Testament itself. Without the Law and the Prophets, the words and ministry of Jesus lose their depth and meaning. The Old Testament provides the framework through which the New Testament is fully understood.

The Word’s of Jesus

Rabbi Kirt Schneider, speaking from the land of Israel, reminded believers of what Jesus Himself declared. Quoting Matthew 5:17, he said, “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law and the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fill full or to fulfill.” Schneider explained that Jesus was “combating a mindset in which people thought He came to start a different religion.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Schneider warned that many in the church today fall into the same error by treating the Old Testament as if it has passed away. “Jewish people don’t call the Hebrew Bible the Old Testament,” he said. “Because if you think about the word ‘old,’ old generally connotates something that has been discarded.”

Nothing Passes Away

Emphasizing the seriousness of Jesus’ words, Schneider quoted further from Matthew 5:18: “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the law until all is accomplished.” He explained that this proves the Law was not set aside at the cross. “Notice what Jesus said in the very next verse,” Schneider said. “Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same shall be called least in the kingdom of God.”

In contrast, Schneider highlighted that Jesus called great those who uphold the Hebrew Scriptures. “Whoever keeps and teaches them, He shall be called great in the kingdom of God,” he said.

Treasures Old and New

Schneider pointed to Matthew 13:52, where Jesus described scribes who became His disciples as those able to bring out “treasures old and new.” He compared it to reading a novel from the final chapters without understanding the beginning. “If you don’t understand the foundation of our Scriptures, if you don’t understand the first three quarters of it, what we call the Old Testament, you’re going to misunderstand the last quarter of it, the New Testament,” Schneider said.

Beyond the Letter of the Law

Yeshua also called His followers to a higher standard than the Pharisees. Schneider reminded his audience that Jesus went to the heart of the commandments. “You have heard it said the ancients were told, ‘You shall not commit murder,’ but I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court,” he quoted. In the same way, Jesus expanded the command against adultery to include lust in the heart.

“Yeshua is saying unless your walk with the spirit goes beyond that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you need to exceed that type of righteousness,” Schneider said.

Walking in Forgiveness

A major part of this righteousness, Schneider stressed, is forgiveness. Quoting Jesus, he reminded listeners that reconciliation must come before worship. “This is so serious that you can’t have a relationship with God, that He can’t accept your offering until our hearts are first cleared with our brothers and sisters,” he said.

Schneider warned that unforgiveness is more dangerous than many realize. “Unforgiveness is so serious. It’s more serious than many of us recognize,” he said, urging believers to release offenses and walk in peace with others.

A Whole Bible Faith

The teaching of Jesus and the testimony of the apostles both affirm the continuing role of the Old Testament. Paul, Schneider noted, was referring to the Hebrew Scriptures when he wrote that “all Scripture is inspired by God.” For Christians today, this means that the fullness of God’s revelation cannot be grasped without both testaments.

To understand the New Covenant fully, one must also honor and study the Hebrew Bible. Believers are called to know God through His entire Word, to see both the treasures old and new, and to walk in the spirit of truth revealed from Genesis to Revelation.

A Prophetic Warning for Hebrew Year 5786

As the biblical year 5786 approaches with the fall feasts, believers are being urged to prepare for a season of intense spiritual warfare. Many will feel pressure to abandon their callings, step away from their ministries or compromise their integrity just as God is preparing His people for a time of reformation and revival.

A Warning to Leaders and Ministers

Rabbi Curt Landry, speaking in a recent message, emphasized that this attack will be aimed at leaders and those in supportive roles. “The enemy is going to do everything he can to try to get you off your position and out of alignment with God before the end of the fall feast,” Landry said. He tied this battle to what he calls the rise of the Amalekite spirit, which seeks to derail destinies through compromise and comfort. “What it’s after is stealing your highest and best through compromise and comfort. People are getting so weary. They’re saying, ‘Listen, I can’t handle this battle anymore. It’s not worth it. I’m not winning.’ The battle is purifying you.”

The Amalekite Spirit and New 7-Year Season

Landry described this Amalekite spirit as a force working through Jezebelic and Baal structures, designed to divide and seduce leaders with promises of recognition, comfort, or influence. He cautioned that this is a decisive moment for the church: “We are coming out of one season of seven. We’re ending and now we’re going into a complete latter rain season of seven. And the biblical year 5786—we are moving into a one new man reformation year and the next seven years of reformation.”

He warned that many believers are tempted to quit because they feel out of place, forgotten, or unrecognized. “The reason you don’t fit is because your mindset is on who you were in the past. And the Lord’s trying to transition you into a mindset of who you shall be in the future,” Landry explained.

A Call to Stand Firm

Landry called on Christians not to give in to discouragement or division. “Satan is trying to get you out of alignment with your unlocked kingdom destiny. He wants you to get offended, not feeling loved,” he said. Instead, Landry urged the body of Christ to stay rooted in unity and faith. “Child of God, hear me. You’re needed in your church, in your ministry. Do not quit now. Do not get tricked of the enemy because you’re uncomfortable with the promotion that’s coming.”
