The find, which includes Christian symbols etched into stone, was located in modern-day Denizli. The discovery was first reported by Anadolu Agency and highlighted “as reported by Fox News.” Laodicea is specifically named by Jesus in Revelation 1:11 when He commands John, “What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia… and Laodicea” The apostle Paul also recognized the city as an early Christian community in his letter to the Colossians.

Pictures from the site show “a cross carved into stone, as well as what appears to be the early Christian Chi-Rho monogram, which represents the first two letters of ‘Christ’ in Koine Greek.” Other ruins include a headless statue of Emperor Trajan, remnants of a theater, and inscriptions of the names of citizens who once filled the council hall that held up to 800 members.

While this discovery is significant historically, it also raises deeper questions spiritually. Laodicea was the final church addressed by Jesus in Revelation and is known as the “lukewarm church” that He warns He will “spew out” for its lack of zeal. They pointed to their own story as refugees who became reformers, believing God has positioned them to sound a warning to the West.

For them, revival will only come when Christians recover their boldness, reject fear and embrace the truth without apology.

Evangelist Perry Stone opened a recent telecast of Manna-Fest by issuing a stern warning over unhealthy trends in the modern prophetic movement. “There’s been three bad habits that have occurred in the Charismatic community, and I want to share these with you, and they’re concerns of mine,” Stone said.

The first problem is the casual use of the phrase “God told me.” Stone explained, “Never ever get up and say that the Lord told you something unless you absolutely know from the Word. Don’t just look at somebody and say that unless divine inspiration is upon you.” He warned that repeating the phrase as a habit leads to confusion and undermines credibility.

Stone also cautioned against what he called “prophetic roulette.” He described one church where conflicting words of prophecy created chaos, saying, “I called ‘em dueling prophets. I had to sit both them down and say, you need to keep your mouth shut because you all are contradicting each other.”

A third danger is manipulation through false gifts. Stone recounted an example of a man copying predictions from a psychic and presenting them as divine revelation. “That is an abomination before God,” he said. “Manipulating a gift when it’s not a real gift and saying it’s from God can be borderline blasphemy.”

Learning to Hear God Personally

Stone urged believers not to depend on constant personal prophecies from others. “You need to learn to hear from God for yourself,” he said. “God will speak to your heart, into your spirit when you’re saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, and He does it by putting a burden on you or impressing you with information.”

He added that many answers are already available in Scripture. “People will say to me sometime, do you have a word for me? I would just say, I sure do. Go home and read your Bible,” Stone said.

Dreams, Visions and the Last Days

Citing Joel 2:28, Stone explained that prophecy, dreams and visions are increasing in the last days. “As the Spirit of God begins to move in the earth there’s one thing I can tell you. He brings revelation,” he said.

Stone differentiated between the experiences of younger and older believers. “Young men who are young in the Lord, who are starting in the ministry, need a vision to convince them it came from the Lord,” he said. “The older you get, if you stayed in the Word, you have extreme Bible knowledge. You know the symbolism of the Bible.”

Warning Dreams of Water and Fire

The evangelist shared that he has experienced troubling dreams he believes serve as warnings. He described repeatedly seeing coastal flooding and massive waves. “I keep seeing seawater rising. I see seawater coming in. I see large waves coming in,” Stone said. “I would say I’ve seen tsunamis, oh my goodness, 20 to 25 times.”

Stone linked these visions to biblical patterns of judgment. “As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the time of the coming of the Son of Man,” he explained. “Noah’s sign was extreme water and destruction by water. Lot’s sign was destruction by fire. Water is connected with Noah. Fire is connected with Lot.”

He pointed to activity in the Pacific Ring of Fire as further evidence of prophetic fulfillment. “It’s awakening. Something’s happening where things are awakening, and this is called the Ring of Fire,” he said.

Looking Toward Christ’s Return

Stone closed with a reminder from Luke 21 that end-time signs will be evident in both the heavens and on the earth. “There will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars, and on the earth distress of nations with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring,” he said. “When these things begin to happen, look up, lift up your head, for your redemption is drawing near.”

He encouraged believers to recognize the seriousness of the times and rely on God’s Word and Spirit for discernment. “God is going to give us dreams and visions,” Stone said. “When everybody starts seeing the same thing, you know it’s something that’s set to happen.”

China’s latest military parade displayed the might of its armed forces, complete with intercontinental missiles, lasers and undersea drones. With Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un at his side, Chinese leader Xi Jinping declared his nation’s rise “unstoppable.” But Pastor James Kaddis says what the world saw in Tiananmen Square is not strength, but desperation.

China’s Power a “House of Cards”

Pastor James Kaddis, a Bible teacher who closely follows geopolitics through the lens of Scripture, warned believers not to be deceived by appearances. “I don’t think that it shows strength,” Kaddis said of Xi’s show of force. “I actually believe that it is a picture of a growing level of weakness that a lot of people are not going to see.”

He pointed to China’s many crises at home, including a collapsing economy, aging population, and social unrest under the grip of the Chinese Communist Party. “What you are seeing is you are seeing them grasp at straws,” he said. “Although it may appear to be some kind of alliance that’s based on nuclear power or nuclear force, what you are seeing is people play some weird twisted game of show and tell with the understanding that this is their last viable hope to be able to appear to be strong.”

Trump’s Response and the Global Picture

President Donald Trump reacted with a sharp message, reminding Xi of American sacrifices during World War II while mocking the Chinese leader’s alliance with Putin and Kim. Kaddis noted that Trump’s words carried both humor and strategy, calling them “designed to put a little bit of fear in these bad actors.”

While Kim Jong-un seeks deeper ties with Russia, even sending thousands of North Korean troops to Ukraine, Kaddis said Xi cannot afford such entanglements. “He’s got a huge problem that is running right now with respect to Taiwan. He’s got even bigger problems with his own economy. He does not have the ability to be able to support a massive war effort on several different war fronts,” Kaddis explained.

Prophecy and the Role of China

Kaddis cautioned against forcing China into biblical prophecy. “The Bible does not really mention China as being consequential in Bible prophecy,” he said. He addressed those who associate Revelation’s 200-million-man army with China, making his position plain:

“I do know that there are a lot of people who were led to believe that this 200 million demon army is the Chinese army and it’s not literal demons like the Bible says it is in the book of Revelation. And I know that there’s lots of people who look at many of the things forming right now in the nation or in the country of China and actually associate it with the kings from the east which of course let me make myself clear that’s not what the Bible is talking about when it says it.”

Instead, Kaddis argued that China’s actions point to its diminishing relevance. “The more inconsequential they’re becoming, they are grasping at straws to maintain any level or any semblance of strength,” he said.

Read Scripture First

Despite the nuclear triad, massive drones, and lasers shown at the parade, Kaddis stressed that the real story is not military strength but prophetic positioning. “All of these are the type of preconditions that we see are necessary in order to put into fruition all that the Bible has talked about,” he said.

His advice for Christians is to view today’s headlines through the lens of God’s Word. “The headline is never going to be fear, but it’s always going to be readiness and faithfulness to the call of God, understanding the fact that He is the one setting the stage,” Kaddis said.

Prophetic Comfort for Believers

While nations posture and alliances shift, believers can rest in the certainty of prophecy. “God’s Word continues to come to life,” Kaddis concluded. “So keep looking to Him and fight the good fight.”

On a recent episode of The Confessionals Podcast, host Tony Merkel welcomed Rebecca Greenwood, author of Dethroning the Queen of Heaven, to expose the return of ancient demonic powers and discuss how Christians must respond. Greenwood explained that what the Bible calls the “queen of heaven” is not a benign figure but a dark principality that has manifested in cultures for thousands of years. “When you begin to study this queen of heaven like I was doing at that time… the Hebrew word that is used in this Scripture, it’s malkah and it is defined as a female ruler, one who is a governmental head of a kingdom” (Jer. 44).

Greenwood emphasized that names such as Ishtar, Hathor, Isis, Jezebel and Lilith are all variations of the same ancient spirit. She recounted a spiritual encounter where Jesus revealed to her “throughout history and time… all of these different forms of the queen of heaven had established.” These spirits, she said, are not myths but real forces of darkness influencing societies through occult practices and bloodshed.

One of the most notorious is Lilith, whom Greenwood described as “a screeching owl, a night hag, a night witch” tied to death, sexual bondage and even infant mortality. In Houston, she recalled receiving a prophetic warning: “You have three weeks to pray or the night hag is going to establish her stronghold over the city.” After focused intercession, Greenwood said the death rate among young people began to drop drastically, a breakthrough she attributed to the power of Christ overthrowing demonic influence.

Jezebel stands as another prototype of these destructive powers. Greenwood noted how her violent death illustrates the nature of principalities. “It was the real dogs that devoured her body and ate her. So what she gave her worship to turned against her and devoured her,” Greenwood explained. This, she said, shows how the enemy ultimately consumes those it deceives.

The ministry of confronting these powers is not about human strength but about walking in Christ’s authority. Greenwood was clear: “We love people with the heart of our heavenly Father. But what we are allowed to hate is Satan and his army of darkness.” Believers, she said, must always act under God’s assignment, declaring, “We’re not coming for victory, but from victory with victory.”

Christians today face a world where Jezebel, Lilith and the queen of heaven are resurfacing in culture under different names and practices. The Bible calls believers to confront these spirits not in fear but in the authority of Jesus, who has already triumphed over the powers of darkness.

Now more than ever, Christians must take up the armor of God and wage war against principalities with prayer, intercession and the Word of God. At the same time, the church cannot neglect the Great Commission. The Vatican has issued a statement declaring that a two-state solution is the “only way out of the war,” a position that runs directly counter to the biblical truth that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people as a united nation.

As reported by the LA Times, Pope Leo XIV and his top diplomats told Israeli President Isaac Herzog during their audience Thursday that peace could only come through dividing the land. The Vatican called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the safe entry of humanitarian aid into Palestinian areas. The statement added that “with goodwill and courageous decisions, as well as the support of the international community, it would be possible to secure the release of all hostages, urgently achieve a permanent ceasefire, facilitate the safe entry of humanitarian aid into the most affected areas, and ensure full respect for humanitarian law, as well as the legitimate aspirations of both peoples.”

Herzog, for his part, urged the pope to meet with the families of hostages and said Israel was working “in every possible way” to secure their release. He emphasized that the nation was determined to strive for “peace, tranquility and stability” in the region. Herzog also noted that the talks included the importance of protecting Christian minorities in the Middle East and addressing the rise of antisemitism worldwide. “The very fact that Pope Leo XIV, who has only just begun his tenure, received the president of the state of Israel in the Vatican is a very important statement,” Herzog said.

The Holy See, however, used the moment to reiterate its longstanding call for a Palestinian state, with its statement stressing that “the two-state solution is the only way out of the ongoing war.”

This is a dangerous stance to take. Scripture makes clear that the land of Israel was given by God as an everlasting covenant to Abraham and his descendants (Gen. 17:7-8). Joel 3 warns of God’s judgment on nations that divide His land. Any effort to force Israel into partition is not a blessing but a curse. God’s Word promises, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” (Gen. 12:3). For the Vatican to oppose the unity of the land of Israel is to put itself at odds with God’s eternal decree.

Israel’s existence as one nation is not a political option but a divine mandate. While Israel continues to work for peace and the release of hostages, the call to divide the land in the name of diplomacy ignores the biblical truth that there is no two-state solution, only one state, the nation of Israel as ordained by the Lord.

An Alabama man was arrested after traveling across the country to California where authorities say he threatened a Los Angeles-area church while claiming to be on a divine mission. Officials identified the suspect as 38-year-old Joshua Michael Richardson, also known as Joshua Michael Jericho, who was taken into custody in late August after a series of troubling threats.

As reported by WVLT 8, Richardson sent an email to St. Michael’s Abbey in Silverado Canyon on Aug. 19 in which he claimed to be “Michael the Angel of Death” and the “rider of the pale horse” from the Book of Revelation. He wrote that he had been sent “to do the Lord’s reaping before His harvest” and warned that he would be traveling from Alabama to the abbey, one of the few churches in the nation that still practices the Michaelmas feast.

Authorities said Richardson later attended a service at the abbey, followed a priest into a private area, and told him that he had come “to separate the weak from the weeds.” Days later, Richardson was arrested in Santa Monica. Inside his vehicle investigators discovered body armor, high-capacity magazines, brass knuckles and knives.

While the threats were taken seriously by law enforcement, what stands out most is how Richardson twisted Scripture to justify his intentions.

Michael is described in Scripture as an archangel who defends God’s people, not as an angel of death. The “pale horse” of Revelation represents the unleashing of judgment during the Tribulation, not a role for a man to claim in the present. The harvest imagery used in Matthew and Revelation describes angels gathering at the end of the age at God’s command, not individuals carrying out violence today. Even the parable of the wheat and the tares makes it clear that separation between the righteous and the wicked happens at the end of time, not at the hands of misguided people.

Instead of following Christ’s commands to preach the gospel and make disciples, Richardson claimed authority that belongs only to God and His appointed agents. His actions show how dangerous it is when someone confuses symbolic prophecy for a personal mandate and attempts to carry out divine judgment on their own.

I’ve met with those impacted, heard their stories, and seen the destruction first-hand,” Turner, also an associate pastor, told Fox News Digital. “In these moments, faith-based organizations are often the first to respond. I’ve witnessed their incredible recovery work: homes built, houses of worship turned into emergency centers and small businesses reopened with support from local churches. Under the leadership of President Trump, faith is back in our government.”

Turner stressed that the efforts of churches and ministries are not just supplemental. “These [faith-based] organizations are not just filling a gap. They are breathing new life into devastated communities, and HUD’s role is to strengthen their efforts with resources and support needed to recover,” he said.

The event began at 6 p.m. on Sept. 6 amid strong wind and rain. Faith leaders from across the nation spoke before Feucht led a time of worship that drew believers to the heart of Washington, D.C.

For Feucht, the moment marked a dramatic turnaround. After years of conflict with governments in cities like Seattle and even in Canada, he saw the federal government officially welcome Christian worship to the nation’s capital. “God bless America! Last month up in Canada Mark Carney’s Govt did everything he could to keep us from worshipping Jesus… pulling permits, blocking parks, but here in America the Trump Administration is rolling out the red carpet to Christians and giving us a chance to bring worship to the heart of the Capital! God is good!!!” Feucht said in an exclusive statement.

Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” movement began during COVID lockdowns to protest restrictions on church gatherings. Despite opposition and canceled events, it has grown into a nationwide call for revival. He later described the National Mall event as “absolutely historic in every way.”

Other speakers included Shayam Menon of HUD’s Center for Faith, Dave Donaldson of the White House Faith Office, Pastor Matthew Barnett of the Dream Center, Scottie Stice of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, Luther Harrison of Samaritan’s Purse, and Rev. Nathan Newman of Mission to North America. Pastor Lorenzo Sewell closed the night with final words of encouragement.

The showcase tied into HUD’s partnership with the America 250 initiative, commemorating the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday. Both Turner and Feucht used the occasion to declare that faith is not only alive but welcomed again at the center of American public life.
