What does it say about the state of the church today when pastors shy away from teaching on eschatology and the end times in the fear of scaring away parishioners?

Even more so, what does it say when the controversial host of “Info Wars” Alex Jones is openly declaring the truth in the Bible and that people need the Holy Spirit if they are going to survive the end times deception coming our way?

In a recent sit-down with Gerald Morgan Jr. on the podcast “Gerald Apologizes Apologetics,” part of the Steven Crowder network, the two discussed the events taking place that point to humanity being in the end times, as well as Jones opening up about his personal life and how he believes that without the power of the Holy Spirit, people will fall to the wiles of the devil.

“I’m a layperson when it comes to end of the world type stuff,” says Jones. “But I did go to a lot of church, a lot of Sunday school, I have read the Bible quite a bit. I know there is massive amounts never know half of it.

“But my grandfather was really heavily into it. [He] studied the Bible, Daniel and Ezekiel and Revelation pretty much five hours a day. …I remember him breaking down the New World Order and Global government. They’d have a computer and that would control everybody and you’d have to do what they said or you wouldn’t get the Mark [of the Beast]. He would always explain you don’t just take it and then it’s because you’ve taken it that you’re going to go to hell. It’s that taking it you have to submit and worship and follow the whole system.”

Jones, known for his effort to halt the growing globalists movement and shedding light on the schemes of the world’s elite, does not often get into the matter of faith and the Bible itself.

While he does often discuss the “interdimensional demons” that he says are guiding world leaders today, Jones did a deep dive into the end times from a biblical perspective that left many wondering: is he becoming a leading voice for the return of Jesus?

“I want to be 100% clear: the New World Order has brought us the end times and has proven the Bible’s right. So that’s why I’ve gotten way more interested,” reveals Jones.

“…he [his grandfather] was just constantly saying ‘watch this is all going to be fulfilled.’ He would get really upset when he would see these preachers on TV setting a date [saying] those people are deceived by setting a date. Then when it doesn’t happen that’s going to make people fall away, that’s a tool of the devil.”

Pointing to how these false teachers have been used by ungodly forces in the media and culture, Jones says this is nothing short of false doctrine disguised as the Bible. But the Bible in truth says something completely different.

“The Bible says no one knows, and if they tell you they know, that person’s bad,” says Jones. “So it’s all there, and the older you get, the more you know. You go, ‘This is incredible.’

“I want to be clear. I’m not Mr. Preacher and I’m not holier than thou. I don’t tell lies on purpose and I don’t sell out to evil, ‘ve got my own issues I’m not perfect. I’m not on some high-horse. So many people are turned off by the church because it’s preaching a watered-down of showing them the big picture: the devil is real. God is real. You better pick a side. So, people ask why I’m so much into the end times, it’s here and it’s all being fulfilled,” Jones continues.

Pointing to the events going on in the world today and how mass communication has fundamentally altered the world as we know it, Jones says that the Bible has proven itself time and again as the truth of what is happening during the end of days.

“There’s no way John, on the island of Patmos almost 2,000 years ago, just made this up. There’s no way Daniel just made this up or Ezekiel. And it’s just all congruent proving itself, proving itself, proving itself, and so if someone doesn’t have the Holy Spirit of discernment, they read it [the Bible] and it’s a bunch of gibberish. …We should be celebrating going ‘My gosh God is real. This is a warning.’ God gave us free will, but God also gave us a cheat sheet,” Jones says.

It is within this cheat sheet that the only way to eternal salvation is explained, and that is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that He died on the cross for our sins and overcame sin and death to take hold of the authority granted to Him to act as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Within the pages of the Bible is a road map of what is occurring in our day and age, and without this biblical lens over world events, people will not truly see what is taking place. But with biblical discernment and wisdom, the shaping of the world begins to make more sense and will hopefully encourage people to accept the one way to eternal life, which is Jesus Christ.

A Colorado-based pastor of an online church, Eli Regalado, and his wife are facing charges for allegedly pocketing $1.3 million through a cryptocurrency fraud scheme. What makes this case more astonishing is Regalado’s claim that he was following God’s instructions.

Regalado and his wife marketed their cryptocurrency, INDXcoin, to Christian communities, assuring potential investors that God had ordained its success. The Colorado Division of Securities revealed that INDXcoin raised nearly $3.2 million, with a significant portion allegedly used for the personal benefit of the Regalados.

In a video statement, Eli Regalado admitted to the charges, stating, “Out of the $1.3 [million], half a million dollars went to the IRS, and a few hundred thousand dollars went to a home remodel the Lord told us to do.”

The couple is accused of spending investor funds on luxury items, including a Range Rover, handbags, jewelry and extravagant experiences such as boat rentals and snowmobile adventures.

The couple faces charges of violating anti-fraud provisions outlined in the Colorado Securities Act.

Tung Chan, the Colorado Securities Commissioner, initiated the filing of civil fraud charges after individuals who invested in INDXcoin and suffered financial losses approached her.

“We allege that Mr. Regalado took advantage of the trust and faith of his own Christian community and that he peddled outlandish promises of wealth to them when he sold them essentially worthless cryptocurrencies,” Chan said in a statement.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a prominent Louisiana Republican and Evangelical, shared insights on God’s sovereignty and his perspective on the 2020 election during a recent GOP media briefing.

The 51-year-old leader, who assumed the role of Speaker last fall with the backing of former President Donald Trump, emphasized his faith and adherence to biblical principles in understanding political events.

At the GOP leadership’s weekly press conference Jan. 17, Johnson responded to a question about President Joe Biden’s victory, stating, “I’m a Bible-believing Christian, right? The Bible says that God is the one who raises up people in authority.” Expressing his personal faith in the Scriptures, Johnson affirmed that Biden’s election “must have been God’s will.”

Johnson drew parallels between his beliefs and those of America’s Founding Fathers, referencing the Declaration of Independence. He emphasized that the Founding Fathers acknowledged that our rights are not bestowed by the government but by God, emphasizing the equality and inherent value of all individuals.

According to Johnson, understanding God’s sovereignty leads to the belief that God allows individuals to rise to positions of authority. He reiterated, “[Biden’s election] must’ve been God’s will then. That’s my belief.”

Looking ahead to the 2024 election, Johnson expressed optimism about a potential “regime change” for the Biden administration. He believes that collective decisions made by the nation, guided by free will, will result in a better choice in the upcoming election cycle.

In his previous remarks in October, after being elected as Speaker amidst internal turmoil, Johnson stressed his belief in Scripture, and called on lawmakers to recognize their responsibility and use their gifts to serve the American people.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, a lifelong bachelor and former presidential candidate, surprised the public by proposing to his girlfriend, Mindy Noce, on a picturesque Kiawah Island beach.

Scott, 58, shared the joyful news on Sunday through a social media post, expressing gratitude to Noce for making him “the luckiest man in the world.”

She said YES.

The proposal took place just a day after Scott officially endorsed Donald Trump for president. Scott introduced Noce to the public during the third GOP presidential debate in Miami, revealing their connection through Bible study.

The couple, introduced about a year ago at church, bonded over shared interests, passions and goals. Reflecting on their journey, Scott said, “I knew there was something very different about her and her faith.”

Noce, a Charleston-based design and renovation consultant and mother of three, was married previously. The senator, who sought and received permission from Noce’s parents before proposing, highlighted their shared faith by mentioning, “In our first conversation… we ended up deciding to do a Bible study together.”

Despite initial proposal plans involving a game of pickleball being rejected, the engagement unfolded seamlessly. As Noce proudly displayed her new ring at church on Sunday, Scott expressed his excitement and gratitude for finding a soul mate who shares his values and beliefs.

“I’ve been very patient and prayerful, and I’m really excited and somewhat nervous, and I couldn’t be more thankful for having found a soul mate and someone who shares a lot of the same interests, passions and goals that I do,” Scott told the Washington Post.

Mountain Gateway, operating as Puerta de la Montaña in Nicaragua, is currently facing a challenging situation as the Attorney General of Nicaragua moves forward with charges against three U.S. citizens associated with the organization and 11 Nicaraguan pastors. The allegations include money laundering and organized crime.

In response, Mountain Gateway released a statement vehemently denying these accusations and expressing deep sadness over the situation. The organization asserts that it has diligently followed all legal requirements in both the U.S. and Nicaragua for non-profit and faith-based organizations.

Mountain Gateway has provided documentation demonstrating that the Nicaraguan government reviewed and approved all funds entering the country. The organization operated under the government’s oversight to ensure the appropriate use and management of funds. In 2023, Mountain Gateway conducted eight mass evangelistic gospel campaigns in collaboration with the Nicaraguan government, operating under strict accounting and budget reviews. The organization emphasizes that no members of Mountain Gateway personally profited from funds sent to Nicaragua for ministry functions.

Nicaragua has recently revoked the registration of numerous non-profit and faith-based organizations, including members of the Catholic Church, citing charges such as money laundering as reasons for revocation. Mountain Gateway, having retained Nicaraguan legal counsel, trusts the judicial process, considering these proceedings normal for an investigation of this nature.

However, the organization’s U.S. pastors, Jon Britton Hancock, Jacob Britton Hancock and Cassandra Mae Hancock, express confusion over the situation, emphasizing their love for Nicaragua and their commitment to abide by government regulations and laws. They have requested legal representation and appointed attorneys to represent them in the legal process. Mountain Gateway questions whether the charges are politically motivated rather than legally justified.

Since 2013, Mountain Gateway has been actively involved in serving the citizens of Nicaragua through various initiatives, including discipleship, church planting, humanitarian aid, disaster relief and mass evangelistic campaigns. The organization’s primary motivation has been to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with the people of Nicaragua.

Despite the legal advice to trust the legal system, Mountain Gateway raises concerns about the situation’s complexity and potential political motivations. The Nicaraguan government has imprisoned nine evangelical pastors associated with Mountain Gateway, claiming they were under the control and direction of U.S. citizens and Nicaraguans. The government’s latest press release states the innocence of these pastors, but they remain imprisoned with no legal representation or contact with their families.

The government has set a criminal hearing date for these pastors for Jan. 26, 2024, yet has not provided their legal counsel with charging documents or files to prepare a defense. Mountain Gateway expresses its commitment to resolving the situation through diplomatic channels, claiming the charges are based on erroneous information.

In times of persecution, Christians will find guidance in the Bible, where several passages offer wisdom on how to navigate adversity. These biblical teachings underscore the resilience of the Christian faith in the midst of challenges, providing a moral compass for believers navigating persecution. As Mountain Gateway faces these challenges, the dangers of being a Christian and fulfilling the Great Commission become evident, both physically and spiritually. The organization’s commitment to serving others and sharing the gospel has brought them into the midst of a legal and political storm, highlighting the potential risks associated with such endeavors. Mountain Gateway remains steadfast in its pursuit of resolving the situation while trusting in the promises of Jesus Christ and the rewards that await them in heaven.
