Do our pets go to heaven? It’s a question that pulls at the heartstrings of animal lovers everywhere. Kelly Kopp and Ryan Edberg from Kingdom Movement and Kelly Kopp Ministries took on this emotional topic in a recent video. While the Bible doesn’t give us a straight answer, their discussion sheds light on what Scripture says—and what it doesn’t.

First, they point out an important distinction: humans and animals are different. They explain that Genesis tells us God created animals and called them “good,” but only humans were made in His image. This sets us apart as spiritual beings with a unique connection to God. Animals have flesh and a soul (mind, will and emotions), but they don’t have a spirit, which ties us to eternity.

“Something unique happens when God creates humans,” the ministers explain. “God created human beings in His Image. I didn’t see it say that about animals. This is an important distinction. Humans are set apart from the rest of God’s creation because they are made in His image.”

That said, the Bible shows God’s deep care for animals. Psalm 36 highlights His love for all creation, and Psalm 1:48 even pictures animals praising Him. It’s clear they matter to Him.

“What this verse shows us is that God has a deep love for animals, all of his creation. God is a loving caretaker for both humans and animals this should bring you some comfort,” they reveal.

Then the ministers also point us to Romans 8, which talks about all creation groaning for the day when the curse of sin is lifted. This gives hope that animals could be part of God’s big plan for restoration. After all, if creation itself is redeemed, why not our furry friends, the duo asks?

Here’s the thing, though: the Bible doesn’t say for sure if pets will be in heaven. But the two pastors remind us of God’s goodness and His ability to bring joy. If having your pet with you in eternity would make you happy, isn’t it possible He could make that happen?

In October of 1989, the late Bible teacher Derek Prince delivered a sermon in Bromley, England, titled “True and False Christ.” Now, decades later, his message resonates with alarming relevance as society witnesses an explosion of occult practices and permissive moral decline. Prince’s Scriptural insights offer a sobering perspective on the cultural climate that prepares the way for the Antichrist—a perspective that feels startlingly prophetic in today’s world.

Prince began by referencing Paul’s warning in 2 Timothy 3: “Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth.” He noted that Jannes and Jambres, the magicians of Egypt, were practitioners of the occult, emphasizing that “the battle was not on the level of theology; it was on the level of power.” This distinction shows us a critical reality: as this age draws to a close, theological arguments alone will not suffice. “One of the major features of this period is an explosion of the occult,” Prince warned. He described a society characterized by “the deterioration of human character, a lot of nominal Christianity that doesn’t exhibit its power, and an explosion of the occult.” These words echo in today’s widespread fascination with the supernatural. Celebrities openly engage in rituals, tarot readings and astrology, while television series and films glamorize witchcraft, demonic possession and sorcery. This normalization of the occult mirrors the cultural shift Prince foresaw—a shift that undermines biblical values and invites spiritual deception.

Prince’s analysis of 2 Timothy 3:13 is particularly striking: “Evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” He highlighted the Greek word for “impostors,” which he translated as “enchanters,” tying it directly to practices of magic and sorcery. “Why do people enchant?” Prince asked. “What does that speak about? Magic, witchcraft, sorcery.” The surge in such practices today—not only in entertainment but in everyday life—reveals how deeply entrenched the occult has become in our world.

Revelation 22 adds another layer to Prince’s message: “He who is unjust, let him be still unjust; he who is filthy, let him be still filthy; he who is righteous, let him be still righteous,” (Rev. 22:11). Prince described this as a “parting of the ways,” where the righteous grow holier while the wicked grow more corrupt. This moral polarization is evident in today’s permissive culture, where societal norms no longer restrain behavior. Social media platforms amplify both extremes, with influencers promoting righteousness and others openly embracing witchcraft, spell-casting and rebellion against God and His values.

Prince turned to Daniel 8:23 for a chilling prediction about the Antichrist: “When the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes.” He explained that human rebellion against God must peak to release the Antichrist. The cultural embrace of the occult, coupled with increasing corruption and rebellion, align disturbingly with this prophecy. “The corruption that’s been at work in society ever since Adam fell is increasing,” Prince declared. “And there’s no way to reverse it.”

Yet, Prince’s message was not one of despair but of hope. He emphasized that God’s solution is not to reform the corrupted but to create something entirely new. “God’s remedy is a new creation. He doesn’t try to patch up the old, or improve it, or reform it. He says, ‘Away with it. I’ll bring forth something new that’s uncorrupted, that’s pure, that has its origin in God.’”

In 1942, in the turmoil of World War II, Maurice Gomberg envisioned a world reordered by the victors, a vision encapsulated in his “Outline of the Post-War New World Map.” Today, as we navigate our own era of shifting geopolitical landscapes, one can’t help but wonder if there’s a prophetic undertone to these historical blueprints, especially in light of recent statements by President-elect Donald Trump concerning the potential acquisitions of Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal.

Echoes of Expansion

• North American Union: The 1942 map proposed an expansive United States that included Canada, Mexico, Greenland and numerous islands. Trump’s recent musings about annexing Canada and acquiring Greenland for strategic reasons mirror this ambition.

• Strategic Territories: Both the map and Trump’s ambitious goals emphasize control over strategic points. The Panama Canal, mentioned by Trump as needing to be reclaimed, was a focal point in Gomberg’s map, indicating its importance in both historical and contemporary geopolitical strategies.

• National Security: Justifications for territorial expansion in Gomberg’s map were rooted in post-war security. Similarly, Trump’s interest in Greenland is explicitly tied to national security concerns.

Current Global Tensions and Israel

The 1942 map proposed a “Hebrewland” encompassing not only modern Israel but also Jordan, parts of Syria, and Saudi Arabia, suggesting a significant expansion. Today, Israel faces ongoing conflicts, particularly with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, which may be interpreted through a prophetic lens as key identifiers of end-time prophecies in the Bible about the expansion and defense of Israel’s borders.

With Israel’s defensive and sometimes preemptive military actions, there’s merit in the conversations among some Christian communities about whether these conflicts might lead to a redefinition of Israel’s borders, echoing the map’s vision in a prophetic sense. The ongoing debate over settlements and land rights in Judea and Samaria further fuels this speculation.

Many Christians look to the books of Daniel and Revelation for insights into end-time scenarios, where visions of kingdoms rising and falling, and a world under one governance, lends credibility to the idea of a “New World Order” that would eventually usher in the system of the beast. The 1942 map’s concept of a unified global political structure under major powers could be seen as aligning with these biblical prophecies on how the end times might look, geopolitically.

These discussions often turn to the figure of the Antichrist, who many believe will establish a one-world government. While the map and Trump’s statements are secular in nature, they do spark debates about whether such political moves could be steps toward fulfilling this prophecy.

Los Angeles, California, is facing a catastrophic wildfire crisis as multiple blazes, fueled by fierce Santa Ana winds, spread rapidly across the region. From the Pacific Palisades to Sylmar, thousands of residents have been evacuated, homes and businesses destroyed and containment remains elusive.

Palisades Fire: A Community Devastated

The Palisades Fire, ignited in the Santa Monica Mountains, has scorched between 2,900 and 5,000 acres as of Jan. 8, with 0% containment. Ferocious winds, some gusting over 85 mph, have propelled the flames into residential areas, forcing the evacuation of 30,000 people.

Over 1,000 structures, including parts of Palisades Charter High School, have been lost, leaving residents reeling. Power outages have plagued over 200,000 people across Los Angeles County as utility companies preemptively shut down electricity to prevent further fires.

Mandatory evacuation orders extend from Merrimac Road west to Topanga Canyon Boulevard and south to Pacific Coast Highway. The Westwood Recreation Center has been established as a shelter for displaced residents.

Miracle Amidst the Chaos

At the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Pacific Palisades, Rabbi Zushe Cunin oversaw the safe evacuation of around 100 preschoolers. “It was a real incredible task to make sure that everybody was safely back with the families,” Rabbi Cunin told “Fox & Friends.”

Acting swiftly at the first sign of danger, the center’s staff evacuated the children even before official orders were issued. “Unfortunately, as we see this horrendous, devastating fire continuing to rage, our hearts go out to the men and women and children and families who have been devastated by this,” the rabbi said.

Despite losing iconic community spaces, Cunin emphasized the importance of unity: “It’s really a time for us all to come together and be there for each other and support each other.”

Eaton Fire: Tragedy in the Foothills

The Eaton Fire, burning near Altadena and Pasadena in the Angeles National Forest, has engulfed 2,227 acres and claimed two lives. Like the Palisades Fire, it remains at 0% containment. Overnight, high winds caused the fire to grow rapidly, destroying over 1,000 acres and consuming the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center.

Thousands have been evacuated from affected areas, with emergency shelters set up for those fleeing the flames.

Hurst Fire: Rapid Growth in Sylmar

In Sylmar, the Hurst Fire—also known as the Sylmar Fire—has torn through 500 acres with alarming speed, burning 100 acres in just 15 minutes. Evacuations have been ordered as the fire pushes northward toward Santa Clarita. Residents have been directed to the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center for safety.

The wildfire response includes over 1,400 firefighters battling the blazes, yet containment efforts have been hindered by relentless winds exceeding 100 mph in some areas. These conditions have grounded aircraft crucial for firefighting operations.

Both the city of Los Angeles and the state of California have declared states of emergency. Schools in Los Angeles and Pasadena remain closed, leaving families scrambling to adjust amidst the chaos.

In times of tragedy, believers are reminded of Psalm 46:1-2: “God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”
