Faith & Liberty, in partnership with Seedline International and HOPE to the Hill, distributed 50,000 Bible booklets to attendees of President Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration.

The commemorative booklets, featuring Scripture from the books of John and Romans, were handed out by 50 volunteers throughout Inauguration Day. “In times of national division like America has recently seen, a new presidential administration can offer hope,” said Peggy Nienaber, Senior Vice President of Faith & Liberty. “The commemorative Scripture booklets were published for this significant occasion for that same reason, to offer hope to people in the Savior Jesus Christ.”

Despite the frigid conditions the outreach continued undeterred. President Trump, citing safety concerns for attendees and law enforcement, moved the inauguration ceremony indoors to the United States Capitol Rotunda, a decision reminiscent of Ronald Reagan’s 1985 ceremony during similarly harsh weather conditions.

Trump also announced that Capitol One Arena hosted spectators to watch the inauguration live, offering a space for supporters to gather safely. Later in the day, he visited the arena and signed executive orders as one of his first official acts as president.

Faith & Liberty expressed gratitude to its ministry partners for making this large-scale evangelistic effort possible. “This was an important outreach to point those in the capital on Inauguration Day to Christ,” Nienaber said.

Michael Tait, the dynamic lead singer of the Christian band Newsboys, has announced that he’s stepping down after more than 15 incredible years with the group. His decision, fueled by prayer and fasting, gives us all something to think about when it comes to handling life’s big moments.

In a heartfelt social media post, he shared the journey that brought him to this major choice. “Fifteen years ago, my life was forever changed when I received the invite to step into the role of lead singer for Newsboys,” he wrote. Reflecting on his time with the band, he called it “some of the most fulfilling, faith-filled, and rewarding years of my life.” And it’s no wonder—under his leadership, the band experienced a major resurgence with hits like “Born Again” and “God’s Not Dead,” reaching fans all over the world.

Matthew Barnett, pastor of the historic Angelus Temple and CEO of the Dream Center in Los Angeles, California, is seeing incredible spiritual hunger in the wake of devastating California wildfires that have killed at least 24 people and destroyed more than 12,000 structures.

Barnett, whose organization is feeding and housing those impacted by the inferno, told CBN News he has seen a massive outpouring of resources and volunteer staff—people from all walks of life who are flooding to his campus to help the Christian nonprofit bring relief.

In the process, these people are hearing—and experiencing—the Christian gospel.

“They’re not just open,” Barnett said of the spiritual fervor unfolding. “They are telling you stuff that you’re not even asking them. I mean, they are volunteering … their lives … and, just by listening and asking them questions, and then you say … ‘God is with you.’”

Volunteers have been flooding to the Dream Center to help hand out food and resources—people from “every type of demographic you could imagine.”

“As people are working 10 hours a day so joyfully … I’m talking to them as they’re serving … we’ll play worship music and … they’ll be like, ‘I like the song. I never heard before. What is it?’” Barnett said. “And then we’re just talking about God while we’re working together with this whole new community.”

He said prayer has also been on full display, as he and volunteers ask individuals and families coming through the food line if they can pray for them.

As it turns out, the spiritual needs are as plentiful as the physical.

“Everybody wants prayer,” Barnett said. “It really is kind of a revival in action where people just want to know that God is there, but I’m really seeing it in a very unusual way through a lot of the volunteers rubbing shoulders all day long and asking questions … like, ‘Why do you do what you guys do?’”

He said some people go through the food line to be prayed for and to experience the positive, Spirit-driven Dream Center staff and volunteers.

“It really is a gathering place, it’s a revival place, it’s a place where people are being told about Christ, it’s a place of people being prayed for,” Barnett said. “It really reminds me of an Acts 29 type of church in action.”

The mind is the control center of life. It’s where decisions are made, beliefs are formed and battles are fought. As Rick Renner explains in a recent video from Renner Ministries, the enemy’s primary target is our thoughts. Through a systematic approach, the devil seeks to infiltrate our minds, sow confusion and build strongholds of deception. But by understanding his tactics, we can stand firm, equipped with God’s power and spiritual armor.

Here are the five ways the devil gets in your head:

1. Devil (diabolos)

Renner explains that the name “devil” is a job description derived from the Greek word diabolos, meaning “one who strikes and strikes and strikes” with the intent to penetrate the mind.

“The devil comes and begins to assault. He has something in his hand—an allegation or a lie—and like a ball or a rock, he’s throwing it and hurling it and hurling it,” Renner says. “His purpose is to penetrate… he understands that your mind is the control center of your life.”

2. Wilds (methodias)

The devil’s attacks are not random; they are methodical. The Greek word methodias means “with a road” or “with an avenue,” illustrating the enemy’s targeted approach.

“The devil… operates with a road, an avenue of attack. He’s headed right for your brain because he wants to seize your mind and take your mind captive,” Renner explains. “When he gets there, his goal is to pound and pound and pound with lies and accusations until finally he beats a hole into your head and penetrates you.”

3. Devices (noema)

Once the enemy gains access to the mind, his goal is to scramble it. The Greek word noema refers to a confused or disordered mind.

“The devil’s intention is to pound and pound and pound your mind until finally he… scrambles your brain so you can’t think right, you can’t see right,” Renner says. “All you hear is all these voices… pulling a device on you, scrambling your brains, and confusing you.”

4. Strongholds (ochurōma)

A stronghold is a mental fortress built on lies. It keeps the truth out and traps the person within. Renner uses the imagery of a castle to describe these strongholds.

“When the devil has pounded his way into a person’s brain and scrambled their thinking… he begins to build a stronghold in their mind,” Renner says. “It’s like they’re living inside a castle, a well-defended lie… it keeps the help on the outside.”

5. Oppression (katadunasteuō)

Finally, the enemy seeks to dominate and oppress. The Greek word for oppression describes a tyrant ruling over his subjects.

“The devil’s goal for your life is to build a lie in your head that is so well fortified that he can move in,” Renner says. “He wants to sit on your brain, control your emotions, and dictate to you what you’re going to feel and believe… like a tyrant, he will dominate you for the rest of your life unless you pull it down and destroy it.”

Equipping Yourself for Victory

Renner emphasizes that believers have spiritual weapons to combat the enemy’s tactics. “When you’ve got the power of God and you’re dressed in the whole armor of God, you can stop the devil from finding entrance to your life,” he says.

Understanding these five strategies equips us to recognize and resist the devil’s schemes. With God’s truth and power, we can tear down strongholds, reclaim our minds and walk in victory.
