But as Christians, we must recognize this for what it is: a dangerous spiritual deception that leads people away from God.

From referencing spells and astrology in their lyrics to openly embracing mystical practices, they have helped normalize witchcraft for millions of fans. This influence is especially concerning for young audiences who may see these practices as harmless fun without realizing the spiritual deception at play. The Bible clearly warns against such practices, yet the allure of these celebrities can lead people away from God and open them up to spiritual attacks.

As believers, we must take a stand. Witchcraft is not harmless entertainment or a tool for self-discovery—it is a gateway to spiritual destruction. The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

The question on the minds of some Christians today is whether Donald Trump’s election in 2024 delayed the unfolding of end-time events foretold in the Bible. With his decisive actions, such as withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization, there is a growing discussion that Trump may have disrupted the globalist agenda—an agenda some view as a precursor to the prophesied One World Government. Could his presidency have granted the world a brief reprieve from the Great Tribulation?

One of Trump’s most significant actions was his executive order to withdraw the U.S. from the WHO, citing its “mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states.” The order further stated that the U.S. would “pause the future transfer of any United States Government funds, support or resources to the WHO” and would “recall and reassign United States Government personnel or contractors working in any capacity with the WHO.”

Many Christians see organizations like the WHO as part of a larger globalist movement, aligning with biblical warnings of a coming One World Government under the control of the Antichrist. Trump’s decision to cut ties with such an entity may have interrupted this agenda—at least for the time being.

Biblical Precedents for Delayed Judgment

Throughout the Bible, we see examples of God postponing judgment in response to prayer, intercession and repentance. Could this be a modern parallel of such an event? Here are three biblical examples of judgement delayed.

1. Nineveh’s Repentance (Jon. 3:4-10)

   • When Jonah warned Nineveh of impending destruction, the people repented and turned to God. Scripture says, “God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented of the disaster that He had declared He would bring upon them” (Jon. 3:10). Their collective repentance stayed God’s hand, offering a clear example of how divine judgment can be postponed.

2. King Hezekiah’s Prayer (2 Kings 20:1-6)

   • When Hezekiah was told he would die, he turned to God in prayer. God responded, “I have heard your prayer and have seen your tears; surely I will heal you” (2 Kings 20:5), extending his life by 15 years.

3. Moses’ Intercession for Israel (Ex. 32:7-14)

   • After Israel’s sin with the golden calf, God intended to destroy them. However, Moses’ intercession led God to relent, sparing the nation and giving them another chance.

These examples, and many others, demonstrate a pattern—when God’s people pray and seek His face, judgment can be postponed. Could it be that the fervent prayers of believers across the United States before the 2024 election resulted in a God-ordained delay of end-time events?

The Power of Prayer and Trump’s Election

Before Trump’s historic victory, millions of Christians gathered in prayer, seeking God’s intervention for the nation. Massive prayer movements and calls for national repentance were seen across the country. Many believe their intercession played a role in his unexpected win. If history and Scripture teach us anything, it’s that prayer can shift the course of nations.

A Temporary Reprieve?

While Trump’s actions may have temporarily disrupted globalist plans, the question remains—was his presidency a divine intervention, a pause button on the prophetic timeline? The Bible makes it clear that the end times will come, but it also reminds us that God’s timing is influenced by His people’s prayers and actions.

As believers, we must remain vigilant in prayer, interceding for our leaders and seeking God’s mercy on our nation and the world. Whether Trump’s election delayed the inevitable or not, we know that prayer has the power to shape history. The challenge now is to pray fervently and stand firm in faith, knowing that God’s ultimate plan will unfold in His perfect timing while fulfilling the Great Commission.

Only time will tell whether Trump’s presidency was a momentary pause in the march toward the Great Tribulation, but the precedent set in Scripture suggests it is indeed possible.

Public trust in pastors has hit an all-time low, and the latest Gallup poll confirms what many have feared—faith in the pulpit is dwindling. According to the poll, only 30% of Americans view clergy as highly honest and ethical, marking a significant decline from the early 2000s when that number stood at 56%. As reported by The Christian Post, this drop places pastors below professions like auto mechanics and judges in terms of public trust, which serves as a sobering reality for the church today.

It’s not hard to see why. The constant stream of scandals and moral failings among church leaders has deeply wounded the credibility of pastors in general. From high-profile financial mismanagement to devastating reports of abuse, the damage has left many questioning whether pastors are still worthy of their calling. The Gallup data reveals that 20% of Americans now rate clergy’s honesty and ethics as low or very low, while another 42% see them as having merely average standards.

These numbers should be wake-up call for all Christians.

Pastors, who are called to be shepherds of God’s flock and part of the five-fold ministry described in Ephesians 4, are facing unprecedented scrutiny. This isn’t what the Lord intended. Instead of standing strong in their calling, many have succumbed to the pressures and temptations of the world, leading the church into a crisis of confidence.

Consider some of the key findings from the Gallup poll, according to The Christian Post:

• Clergy ranked 10th out of 23 professions measured in honesty and ethics.
• The percentage of Americans who highly trust pastors has dropped from 67% in 1985 to just 30% today.
• 21 of the 22 professions measured in both 2021 and 2024 have seen a decline in trust, with clergy experiencing one of the sharpest drops.
• Reports of sexual abuse within religious institutions, particularly in 2002 and 2018, significantly contributed to the erosion of trust.
• Changing religious affiliations and decreased church attendance also are factors in the decline.
• Political and demographic divides persist, with Republicans (46%) showing more trust in clergy than Independents (24%) or Democrats (25%).

The church is under attack, and pastors are squarely in the sights of Satan and his minions. We are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness. The falling trust in pastors is not just a societal trend; it is a spiritual battle that requires serious engagement in prayer and intercession.

As believers, we are called to lift up our pastors, to shield them through prayer and to support them in their walk with God. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, for kings and for all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.” Pastors need our prayers now more than ever.

While the statistics paint a grim picture, they also present an opportunity for the church to reflect, repent and renew its commitment to integrity and holiness. The world is watching, and it is up to us to restore faith in the leadership of the church by standing firm on the Word of God and upholding the highest moral standards.

The road to rebuilding trust will not be easy, but it begins with each of us taking responsibility by supporting our pastors, holding them accountable in love and recognizing that their calling is a heavy burden that requires the strength of the Holy Spirit. Let this serve as a reminder that the church must not only proclaim the Gospel but live it out in a way that reflects the heart of Christ to a world mired in sin.
