Pope Francis Hospitalized in Rome Amid Health Concerns

Pope Francis, 88, has been admitted to Gemelli Hospital in Rome for diagnostic tests and continued treatment for bronchitis, the Vatican confirmed Friday.

The pontiff had been battling the respiratory infection for over a week but had persisted with many of his papal duties until his hospitalization.

Vatican officials emphasized that the decision to admit the pope was not an emergency measure but a precautionary step following his scheduled audiences, including a meeting with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.

During a public address on Wednesday, the pope’s frailty was evident as he struggled to speak.

“Please allow me to ask the priest, the Rector, to continue reading since I cannot do it because of my bronchitis. I hope I will be able to do it next time,” he said.

The pope’s medical history is extensive, dating back to his early 20s when he underwent a partial lung removal in Argentina due to a severe respiratory infection. In recent years, he has been hospitalized multiple times, including a three-day stay in 2023 for bronchitis and a 10-day recovery following intestinal surgery. He also canceled a planned visit to the United Arab Emirates in December due to illness.

10 Steps to Prepare for a Godly Relationship

While dating advice often leans on quick fixes and shortcuts, Pastor Vlad Savchuk of HungryGen Ministries offers a refreshing, grounded perspective for singles seeking a spouse.

His message is clear: it’s worth the wait.

Drawing wisdom from the first chapters of Genesis, Savchuk lays out a blueprint for preparing for a godly relationship—and it starts long before you meet “the one.”

1. You Are Ready to Date When You Don’t Need To
“You have to be so lost in God that the person has to look for God to find you.” Before anything else, your relationship with God should be your foundation. “Your relationship with God will satisfy you while all other relationships, they will magnify you.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

2. Find Your Mission Before You Find Your Mate
“You’re ready for marriage when you have found your mission, found a job.” Citing Genesis 2:15, Savchuk points out that Adam was given work before he was given Eve. “Before there is honey, there has to be money.”

3. Date with the Intent to Marry
“Dating with no intent to marry is like going to the grocery store with no money. You will either leave unhappy or take something that is not yours.” Savchuk stresses that dating isn’t for fun—it’s for finding a life partner.

4. Be Patient—Don’t Settle Out of Desperation
“You will either wait for God to bring the right person or you will wait for God to change the person you found due to impatience.” Savchuk warns against rushing into relationships just to fill a void. “Don’t birth an Ishmael out of impatience.”

5. Stop Comparing Your Journey to Others
“Don’t compare your story with someone else’s success.” Seeing friends get married or start relationships can be tough, but comparison leads to coveting, which leads to impatience. “God is writing your love story, don’t steal His pen.”

6. Be at the Right ‘Well’
“Isaac met his wife at a well, Jacob met his wife at a well, Moses met his wife at the well.” Savchuk encourages singles to be in the right environments—church, small groups, mission trips—where they can meet someone who shares their faith. “Just because someone is in church doesn’t mean they’re in Christ.”

7. Stay Active in Community, Not Isolation
“Don’t dwell in the wilderness, don’t waste your waiting period by going to clubs.” Instead of isolating yourself or seeking love in the wrong places, stay connected to your community and serve in your local church.

8. Recognize the Difference Between God’s Blessing and the Devil’s Bait
“Before sometimes God sends someone, the devil will send a distraction.” Savchuk cautions singles to discern whether a relationship is truly from God or just a temporary fix for loneliness.

9. Be Honest About Your Intentions
“Am I doing this because I’m desperate and lonely? Am I doing this because I’m horny? Or am I doing this because there’s God’s grace on it, there’s God’s peace in it?” Self-reflection is key to understanding your true motivations for dating.

10. Stay Grounded and Content in God
“Even if He does not [bring someone], stay content. Stay grounded and focus on Him.” Savchuk reminds singles that their identity and fulfillment should come from God, not from a relationship.

Spiritual Warfare in Gaza: Nephilim, Prophecy and America’s Presence

World events are unfolding at an unprecedented pace, and for those who view history through a biblical lens, the connections to prophecy are undeniable. From political power shifts to eerie symbolic moments, the headlines seem to echo the warnings and revelations found in Scripture. As believers, we are called to be watchful, discerning, and steadfast in understanding the times.

A Leader’s Warning and Biblical Proportions

One of the most striking recent developments is President Donald Trump’s stern warning to Hamas: release the hostages or face devastating consequences. His words—”all hell will break loose”—weren’t just rhetoric. They had a tangible effect, as Hamas quickly reversed course and resumed the hostage releases that had been stalled.

While this situation is playing out on the world stage in political and military terms, it is impossible to ignore the spiritual weight behind it. Even former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee referred to Trump’s impact in the region as “in biblical proportions.”

Gaza has been a spiritual battleground for centuries. Historically known as Philistia, it was home to the enemies of Israel, including the infamous Philistine giants. The wars that raged in David’s time are echoed in the conflicts of today, and it raises the question: are we witnessing another significant chapter in the struggle between God’s people and the forces that oppose them?

The Six-Fingered Symbol: A Spiritual Glimpse?

Adding to the intrigue is an unusual image that surfaced during Hamas’ propaganda surrounding the hostage releases—a resistance fist with six fingers. While some may dismiss it as an artistic error, believers familiar with biblical history might recognize a deeper significance.

In 2 Samuel 21, one of the Philistine giants, a descendant of Anak, is described as having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. The Anakim were among the ancient giants that the Israelites encountered—descendants of the Nephilim, the beings mentioned in Genesis 6. The spiritual implications of their existence were immense, tied directly to the corruption and rebellion seen throughout history.

Was this six-fingered fist merely a mistake, or was it a subtle manifestation of a deeper, unseen principality? In a world where spiritual warfare is constant, it’s worth considering.

The Enduring Spiritual Battle Over Gaza

The Bible speaks of territorial spirits—demonic principalities that exert influence over specific regions. In Daniel 10, the “Prince of Persia” is described as a spiritual force opposing God’s angels. These powers do not simply fade away over time; they remain entrenched.

Gaza, once home to the Philistines, has long been such a stronghold. Even during Israel’s most triumphant periods, the region was never fully subdued. Now, in 2025, the U.S. is stepping into the situation in a significant way. Could this be a fulfillment of biblical prophecy? Is this a pivotal moment in Israel’s history, one that will lead to a reshaping of its borders or even a united Israel?

As history unfolds before our eyes, it is crucial to remain watchful and prayerful. The battles we see are not just political or military conflicts—they are deeply spiritual.

Watching, Discerning and Preparing

Jesus instructed His followers to recognize the signs of the times. In 1 Chronicles 12:32, the sons of Issachar were praised for understanding the times and knowing what Israel should do. That same discernment is needed now more than ever.

Prophecy is not meant to be observed passively. It should lead to action—prayer, repentance, evangelism and a renewed commitment to faith.

Rick Warren Under Fire for Controversial Take on Jesus’ Crucifixion

Rick Warren, the well-known founder of Saddleback Church and author of “The Purpose Driven Life,” recently found himself at the center of a theological firestorm after suggesting that Jesus Christ would be a political centrist today. Warren’s post on X quoted John 19:18:

“They crucified Jesus with two others — one on each side & Jesus in the middle. The guys on both sides were thieves. If you’re looking for the #realJesus, not a caricature disfigured by partisan motivations, you’ll find him in the middle, not on either side.”

His comment was met with immediate backlash, with many Christian leaders condemning what they saw as an attempt to force a political lens onto a spiritual truth.

Among the most vocal critics was Pastor Greg Locke, of Global Vision Bible Church in Tennessee, who did not mince words:

“No matter what ‘side’ someone is on, THIS IS SO UNBIBLICAL IT’S NAUSEATING. This is one of the most ridiculous things you’ve ever said. Revelation 3 says the total opposite.”

So, why did Locke reference Revelation 3? This passage includes Jesus’ stern warning to the church of Laodicea, where He rebukes them for being ‘lukewarm’—neither hot nor cold. Specifically, Revelation 3:15-16 states: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”

Locke, like many others, interprets this passage as a condemnation of spiritual indecisiveness or compromise, arguing that Warren’s statement implies a passive, middle-ground approach to faith when Christ Himself called for wholehearted commitment.

Joel Berry, managing editor of the Babylon Bee, offered a pointed response, noting the irony in Warren’s interpretation. He remarked that if Warren were to take the analogy further, he would have to acknowledge that the thief on the right was the one who repented and was promised paradise.

If you’re going to misuse the story this bad, you should also point out that the thief on the Right is the one that went to heaven lol.

Muslims Turning to Christ After Seeing Jesus in Dreams—The Power of Prayer

Every year during Ramadan, millions of Muslims seek spiritual fulfillment through fasting and prayer. At the same time, many Christians around the world are joining together in prayer for these very same people—asking God to reveal Himself in powerful ways. And according to firsthand testimonies, those prayers are being answered in ways few could have imagined.

The Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board has launched a prayer initiative called “Pray for Ramadan,” encouraging believers to intercede for Muslims around the world. April Bunn, director of IMB’s Prayer Office, shared with The Christian Post that their goal is to guide intercessors in praying “with both lament for lostness and joy in the hope of the Gospel.” Bunn emphasized the importance of prayer, stating, “We also know that God’s Word teaches that He works in and through the prayers of His people.”

As believers unite in this global prayer movement, remarkable reports are emerging from the Middle East. Missionaries with the Assemblies of God are witnessing an unprecedented number of Muslims encountering Jesus Christ through dreams and visions. Dick Brogden, an AG missionary, called it “the normal experience” for many Muslims today, saying, “It would be accurate to say that Muslims are responding to Jesus in levels we have never seen, not in 1,400 years!”

These divine encounters are leading many to embrace Christianity despite the extreme personal cost. One Saudi Arabian woman, skeptical and afraid, prayed: “Jesus, if You are the real God, I want to see You.” Later, while tending her sheep, she looked into a pool of water and saw a massive shepherd standing behind her, smiling. When she turned around, no one was there. Still uncertain, she asked for another sign—her crippled mother to be healed. Immediately, her mother stood up and began to walk. She surrendered, overcome and exclaiming, “Jesus, I believe, I believe!”

Such stories are not isolated. A former Muslim woman had a dream of a shepherd walking around an empty tomb, breaking bread and offering it to her, saying, “Take, eat, this is my body.” She later discovered that these were the very words of Jesus in the Bible and accepted Him as her Savior.

Defying Death: The Unyielding Faith of Libya’s Martyrs

It was a haunting image—21 men in orange jumpsuits, kneeling on a beach in Libya, with black-clad executioners standing behind them. The world watched in horror as ISIS broadcast their brutal execution in 2015, a chilling reminder of the relentless persecution Christians face. Yet, in the face of terror, these men did not deny Jesus. They held fast to their faith, even as they stared death in the eyes.

A new documentary film, “The 21,” tells their story with reverence, ensuring that their sacrifice will not be forgotten. But more importantly, their testimony should stir us to action.

Among them was a man from Ghana, who wasn’t originally among the Egyptian Christians captured. When given the chance to walk away, he refused. “Their God is my God,” he said, choosing to stand with his brothers in Christ rather than save his own life.

For weeks—perhaps months—before their execution, these men were tortured. They were electrocuted, doused in freezing water and burdened with back-breaking labor. They were offered their freedom in exchange for renouncing Jesus. Not one did. And so, they met their fate, their final words a whispered declaration: “Ya Rab Yesua”—O Lord Jesus.

The Crown of Life

What kind of faith does it take to hold firm when death is certain? Jesus Himself answered this question: “For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it,” (Matt. 16:25, MEV).

These 21 men did not lose their lives—they gained eternity. They are now among the great cloud of witnesses, robed in white, standing before the throne of God. Revelation 7:14-15 describes them well:

“These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple.”

The world saw their deaths, but heaven saw their victory.

Now is the Time: Why the Church Must Step Up

President Donald Trump has once again put religious freedom at the forefront of his agenda. Last week, during events surrounding the National Prayer Breakfast, he signed an executive order establishing a task force to combat anti-Christian bias within the federal government. This move comes amid rising reports of vandalism targeting conservative churches and pro-life centers, particularly after the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Leading the charge is Attorney General Pam Bondi, who will oversee efforts to identify and eliminate unlawful policies, investigate anti-Christian violence, and ensure that faith-based Americans are not unfairly targeted by federal agencies. Additionally, Trump is creating the White House Faith Office, placing it in the West Wing and appointing Pastor Paula White to lead.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

For many Christians, this is a much-needed response to growing concerns that federal agencies, such as the FBI and DOJ, have unfairly scrutinized people of faith. A 2023 House report, for example, revealed an FBI memo suggesting traditional Catholics be monitored as potential security threats. Others point to parents being labeled extremists simply for objecting to progressive policies in schools. Critics, however, argue that prioritizing Christian issues may overlook broader religious freedom concerns.

What Does the Bible Say About Persecution?

Persecution is nothing new for Christians. Jesus Himself warned believers that opposition would come: “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution,” (2 Tim. 3:12).

The Bible consistently reminds Christians that hardship is part of following Christ. Jesus told His disciples, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you,” (John 15:18). Throughout history, the church has often thrived under pressure, spreading the gospel in the face of opposition.

Impact on the Mission of the Church

The question now is: How does this task force affect the church’s mission?

On one hand, ensuring Christians can freely express their beliefs without fear of government retaliation is crucial for spreading the gospel. If pastors, faith-based organizations, and everyday believers feel silenced, the church’s ability to reach the lost is hindered.

On the other hand, Jesus never promised political protection. In fact, the early church grew rapidly despite Roman oppression. While religious liberty is important, Christians must remember that the ultimate mission is not political power—it’s bringing people to Christ.

What Did Jesus Mean by ‘Hate Your Parents’? A Closer Look at Scripture

Ever read a Bible verse that made you do a double take? Luke 14:26 is one of them:

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.”

Wait… what? Didn’t Jesus tell us to love others?

Kelly K tackled this exact question, and his response is simple: “Hold on, hold on, hold on—don’t get offended yet!”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Context Is Everything

“You can’t just zoom into one Scripture and make a whole doctrine out of it,” Kelly warns. The Bible is all about love, not hate. “Love God and love people.” And guess what? “Unless your parents are from Mars, they’re people, people!”

So, what does Jesus mean by “hate”? The New Living Translation makes it clearer:

“If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else.”

Ah—that makes more sense, doesn’t it? Jesus isn’t telling us to hate our parents. He’s saying our love for Him should be so great that our love for anyone else looks small in comparison.

Jesus Comes First

Kelly puts it this way: “Jesus should consume your entire heart.” But too often, when we need help, we run to family first instead of Him.

“What Jesus is trying to tell you is He is number one. Not your mom, not your dad, not your spouse, not your brother or sister.”

What About the Man Who Wanted to Bury His Father?

In Matthew 8:21-23, a man asks Jesus if he can bury his father before following Him. Jesus responds, “Let the dead bury their own dead. You follow me.”

Sounds harsh, right?

Not really. Back then, the son who buried his father received a bigger inheritance. Jesus knew the man’s true motive—money, not mourning.

“God doesn’t care about your actions. He cares about your heart.”

When the Lion Roars: A Prophetic Call to Step Into God’s Open Door

Have you ever felt like you were standing in front of a locked door, waiting for something to change? Maybe it’s a breakthrough in your family, your finances or your faith. If so, take heart—because according to prophet Charlie Shamp, the door is already open.

In a recent prophetic vision during prayer, Shamp saw a fierce and majestic lion approach him, holding a key in its mouth. When he asked who he was, the answer was clear: “I am the angel of the church of Philadelphia.” That’s a direct reference to Revelation 3:7, where Jesus declares, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, says these thing,” (MEV).

Then, something incredible happened. The lion roared.

As Shamp described, “There was a significant shift in the atmosphere, and I felt like the spirit of doubt and despair just broke off.” This was more than just a vision—it was a prophetic call for all of us to step into a new season of opportunity.

And it’s not just a spiritual shift—it’s happening across the U.S., too. After years of turmoil, a fresh wave of patriotism and faith is rising across the nation. Just like in Shamp’s vision, the atmosphere has changed.

What does this mean for us? It means that the limitations that held us back no longer have power over us. The key represents authority and access, and God is extending it to us right now.

“This is your time,” the lion said. “Take the key. Unlock that which has been dormant and let a new sound emerge.”

The fear that held you back? It’s time to leave it behind.

Mike Huckabee Warns: ‘Biblical’ Change Is Coming to the Middle East

If there’s one thing former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is confident about, it’s that a second Trump presidency would bring a “change of biblical proportion” to the Middle East. And if history is any indication, he’s absolutely right.

The Trump administration stood by Israel without hesitation, forging historic peace deals and ensuring America’s strongest ally in the region had the support it needed. Contrast that with the Biden administration, which often left Israel out in the cold, dragging its feet on diplomacy and failing to back the Jewish state with the same conviction.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

“What the Israelis want is something simple: They want peace. They want their people home,” Huckabee said on Fox News. But peace isn’t possible as long as Hamas is still in play. “They have said even as recent as two weeks ago that they would try to do another October the 7th. So, let’s not be in any way fooled that they want peace. They don’t. They want the destruction of the Jewish state.”

Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war has been weak at best, with indecision and wavering support. Meanwhile, under Trump, the Middle East saw “real significant peace,” as Huckabee pointed out. The Abraham Accords, brokered under Trump, were a game-changer—something the Biden White House has done little to build upon.

Huckabee also dismissed the idea of a two-state solution, a concept often pushed by European and Arab nations. “They militarily marched 10,000 Jewish people out of Gaza, turned it into a complete Palestinian state, and the result we saw [on] Oct. 7,” he reminded viewers.

As Huckabee awaits Senate confirmation as U.S. Ambassador to Israel, he knows the stakes couldn’t be higher.
