Stephen Colbert’s Faux Faith on Full Display in Support for Female, Bisexual ‘Jesus’

Stephen Colbert, the late-night host who never misses a chance to virtue signal his supposed Catholic faith, has once again proven that he bends the knee not to God, but to the world.

In a recent interview with British actress Cynthia Erivo, Colbert praised the casting of a female Jesus in an upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl as “long overdue.”

“First woman to play Jesus in a major production. Long overdue. I’ve said for years I’d love to see a woman in that part,” Colbert gushed to Erivo, who identifies as bisexual and uses “they/them” pronouns. Erivo replied, “I think the idea that I can play this role, and I’ve been given the opportunity to play it in front of so many people at that place [at] this time of my life is a very special thing.”

This cultural celebration might earn Colbert applause from Hollywood, but it raises serious questions for anyone who takes Scripture seriously. Jesus is not a character role to be reshaped by postmodern ideology. He is the incarnate Son of God, fully God and fully man, not a gender-fluid theatrical symbol to fit the whims of progressive agendas.

The Bible explicitly affirms Christ’s identity in both prophecy and fulfillment. Isaiah 9:6 declares, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.”

The Gospels affirm Jesus as born of the Virgin Mary, Son of the Most High (Luke 1:31-32). Erasing His masculinity in the name of “representation” not only distorts the truth of Scripture but dishonors the One called Lord.

Colbert’s endorsement of this portrayal comes as no surprise. Just a day earlier, he criticized the Trump administration for not publicly recognizing pride month, a cause completely incompatible with biblical values. This is not the first time he has attempted to wrap a distorted, politically correct version of Christianity in a smile and a laugh.

The original Jesus Christ Superstar musical has always been heretical, as it portrays Judas Iscariot sympathetically and omits the Resurrection altogether, the central truth of the Christian faith (1 Cor. 15:14). And now, this new version doubles down on the irreverence with Cynthia Erivo as Jesus and openly gay singer Adam Lambert playing Judas.

As reported by The Christian Post, Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. called the casting “blasphemy,” noting that Erivo is “too bald, brown and bi[sexual]” to portray Christ.

Jesus is not a metaphor. He is not to be mocked on a stage. He is the risen Savior of the world, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

It is long past time for Colbert to decide whether he truly believes in the Jesus of the Bible, or the Jesus of Broadway. One saves souls; the other sells tickets.

Jeff Foxworthy Says Yes to God’s Whisper, and It Changed His Life

When God whispers, comedian Jeff Foxworthy says the only response is simple: “say yes.”

In a recent video posted to his YouTube page, the beloved comedian known for his “you might be a redneck” bits shared a moving testimony about how an unexpected encounter with a homeless shelter led him to a new calling, and a deeper understanding of love, pain and purpose.

While out with his daughters, Foxworthy came across a table set up for the Atlanta Mission, a Christian homeless shelter. Joshua, the man running the booth, asked Foxworthy if he’d come down to the shelter for lunch. The comedian had worked with many organizations before, but never a homeless ministry. Curiosity, and perhaps something more, prompted him to accept.

Foxworthy admitted that when he arrived, he had questions. “I was curious as to why this guy really wanted me there,” he said. “Was it for a show? Was it for money? Was it to do a commercial for them?” But Joshua’s answer was unexpected. He simply wanted Foxworthy to meet some of the men living at the shelter.

That’s when Foxworthy met Jason, a 21-year-old whose story would shake him to the core.
“I said, ‘Jason, what’s your story?’ I said, ‘You’re 21. Why are you in a homeless shelter?’” Foxworthy recalled. “And Jason said to me, ‘Well, it was me, my brother, my mom and my dad. And when I was 11 years old, my mom killed herself. Two years after that, my brother killed himself, and it was just my dad and me. And in my second year of college, my dad killed himself. I got to the point where I couldn’t hurt anymore, and I started smoking crack. Flunked out of school, and that’s how I’m on the street.’”

Foxworthy didn’t hold back his reaction. “I’m sitting there looking at this kid, and I’m thinking, ‘____, I would have started smoking crack, too. How much hurt can a human heart take?’”

He began to realize that homelessness was often the visible result of deeper wounds. “The addiction, whatever it was, alcohol or drugs, that was a symptom. The cause was some kind of hurt they couldn’t get over,” he said. “I mean, so many of these people had been sexually violated or physically violated, and they just had a hurt they couldn’t get past.”

Weeks later, Joshua revealed the real reason he invited Foxworthy: “You keep asking why I invited you down, I’m gonna tell you. I want you to lead a small group. These guys have never had a small group in their lives, and I think you’d be a great leader for it.”

Foxworthy was stunned. “There are 6 million people in Atlanta. You can’t find a better person than me to do this?” But then came the revelation: “This is the only thing we can do for God is when He whispers to us…say yes.”

Now a small group leader at the shelter, Foxworthy helps men see their value through God’s eyes. “And anybody on the street is no different than you or me,” he said. “We all want the same thing. We all want to be significant, and we all want to be loved.”

Foxworthy’s story is a reminder that sometimes the most life-changing moments come when we quiet ourselves enough to hear, and obey, God’s gentle whisper.

Jack Hibbs Warns: Every Soul Will Face Judgment, Are You Ready?

In his message on Real Life, Pastor Jack Hibbs delivered an urgent and encouraging reminder about the eternal importance of discovering and using the spiritual gifts God has given each believer.

Teaching from Philippians, 1 Corinthians and Ephesians, Hibbs emphasized that “it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good purpose.” He urged Christians to embrace their calling, saying, “Let us use this gift that God has given to us to know Jesus in ways you never thought possible.”

Why Your Negative Words Are Sabotaging Your Breakthrough

Nik Keswani’s recent interview with Pastor James Kawalya delivers a much needed message: our words are not just emotional expressions, they are spiritual weapons, either for warfare or self-destruction.

“We think that speaking out of frustration is harmless and that venting is just emotional release,” Keswani said. “But every sentence carries weight in the spiritual realm.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Pointing to Scripture, Pastor Kawalya emphasized the spiritually legal ramifications of careless words. “Proverbs chapter 21:23, ‘Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles,’” he quoted. “That ’t just poetic, it’s legal authority in the spiritual world.”

Kawalya, who once served as a witch doctor before his conversion, warned that demons don’t always break in, they’re invited. “You are inventing, you’re signing spiritual agreements,” he said. “The devil doesn’t need to invade your life by force; he just waits for you to give him clearance with your own words.”

Former witch Erica Mukisa confirmed this from her own past involvement in the occult in a video clip Keswani played for his audience. “How do I capture a person’s spirit? It’s by involving in a quarrel or a fight with that person,” she said. “So that night they have a bad dream and that dream, if they don’t wake up to pray and cancel it, that is the end of them.”

These aren’t vague spiritual metaphors. Mukisa revealed that such exchanges gave her access to spiritually imprison victims. “I would go to that shrine, I call their spirit and I cage it in that web,” she said. “There are people who have been caged in trees, there are people who have been caged in places.”

Keswani’s takeaway was clear: “If you spoke defeat, confess it, cancel it and replace it with the truth. Because your words aren’t just suggestions, they’re spiritual blueprint. They will either fortify your calling or sabotage your future.”

The biblical warnings are real, and believers cannot afford to be careless with their mouths. Whether it’s during a heated argument or a moment of self-pity, the consequences aren’t just psychological—they’re spiritual.

“I will speak life,” Keswani urged viewers in closing. “Let’s stop agreeing with darkness and start declaring what heaven already says about us.”

When Demons Invade Your Dreams: How to Fight Back Spiritually

Have you ever woken up in a cold sweat, heart racing from a nightmare so vivid it felt like a real spiritual attack? You’re not alone, and you’re not without hope.

Pastor Vlad Savchuk is sounding the alarm and offering a lifeline for those battling tormenting dreams, particularly ones filled with demonic oppression. In his recent teaching, “Defeating Demons in Your Dreams,” Savchuk reminds believers that our sleep isn’t just for rest—it’s often a spiritual battlefield.

“Your dreams, your time of sleep is actually a battleground,” he said. “But it’s also an opportunity for God to speak.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Savchuk points to numerous biblical examples—Joseph, Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar—where God used dreams to communicate His plans. But he also makes it clear: the enemy seeks to sow seeds of fear, lust, confusion, and despair through nightmares and sleep paralysis.

“If he can affect your dream life and you wake up in screaming pain…you wake up confused, and you don’t have any affection for your spouse or you have no desire to live…that could be a sign, not just of spiritual warfare but actually of spiritual oppression.”

But what does that mean for the average believer jolted awake by disturbing dreams? First, it doesn’t automatically mean you have a demon. “Not every dream that’s bad means you have a demon,” Savchuk cautioned. “Nor does it mean if you get attacked in your sleep that you have a demon.”

Pre-order Vlad Savchuk’s Newest Book, Make the Devil Homeless on !

Instead, he encourages discernment. Persistent, invasive dreams—especially sexual ones or those involving fear and choking—may signal a need to address deeper spiritual issues. “Consistent spiritual oppression during sleep often points to the demonic activity,” he said.

Thankfully, the Word of God provides weapons, and we have authority in Christ to fight back—even in our sleep.

“Once you wake up, you can rebuke that dream in the name of Jesus, out loud,” Savchuk urged. “Invoke the authority and the blood of Jesus Christ. Read and declare Scriptures of authority and victory, like Luke 10:19, like James 4:7.”

For those needing deeper breakthrough, Savchuk advises seeking help from pastors, spiritual leaders, or deliverance ministers. “Sometimes you need people to actually do deliverance on you and just command any unclean spirit that has had any access to your life to be removed and renounce any access that demons might have had into your life.”

But not all dreams involving demons are attacks. Some are assignments.

“What if you’re not actually being terrorized by the devil, you’re terrorizing the devil?” he asked. “Some dreams about demons aren’t just attacks. They can be actually prophetic indicators of your calling into spiritual warfare or deliverance ministry.”

He notes that dreams of casting out demons or winning spiritual battles may signify God’s calling over someone’s life. But he gives a clear warning: “Always confirm your calling through prayer, wise counsel, Scripture and real time spiritual fruit. So you don’t launch a ministry based on a dream.”

Beyond deliverance, Savchuk offers preventive strategies to cleanse the spiritual atmosphere of your home. “Before you go to sleep, pray. Specifically invite God’s presence into your house and into your bed. Anoint your home, your room with oil. Declare God’s authority and peace,” he said.

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

He also encourages Christians to meditate on Scripture and avoid spiritually dulling activities before bed. “So that your last thoughts and meditations could be directed toward the truths of God’s Word.”

At its core, Savchuk’s message is not one of fear but of power, clarity and hope.

“Never fear spiritual attacks. Let them confirm you’re doing something powerful for God,” he said. “But if you are being spiritually tormented in your dreams, remember there’s hope for you. There is help. Jesus Christ wants to set you free.”

If you’ve been haunted by dark dreams or feel spiritually vulnerable in your sleep, know this: you are not a victim. You are a warrior in Christ. And the battlefield of your dreams can become a place of victory, healing and divine encounter.

4 Stages of Spiritual Growth: A Pentecost Message for the Church

On Pentecost Sunday, Pastor Troy Brewer of OpenDoor Church in Burleson, Texas, delivered a message that spanned continents, Scripture and the hearts of the broken. His sermon reminded the global body of Christ of both its spiritual identity and its mission to confront darkness with light.

“Pentecost Sunday is actually the birthday of the church,” Brewer said. “It’s really the day that the mystery of the bride of Christ was truly made manifest.”

Brewer reflected on being in Jerusalem seven years ago when the U.S. Embassy was officially moved from Tel Aviv, a historic event that took place on Pentecost Sunday. “I was never so proud to be an American as I was that day there in Jerusalem,” he said. “It was truly a prophetic marker of something incredible.”

But the message of Pentecost, Brewer noted, isn’t just historical or political—it’s deeply personal and spiritual. He laid out a compelling path of Christian growth:

1. Servanthood

This is where every believer starts—learning obedience and discipline through daily surrender. “You just say ‘Yes, sir,’ and you respond immediately,” Brewer said. Servanthood trains us to follow Christ even when we don’t understand the full plan.

2. Friendship

As we grow in intimacy with God, He begins to reveal more of Himself and His plans to us. “When He moves you into friendship, He starts to reveal to you His secrets,” Brewer said. Friendship with God invites us into His heart.

3. Sonship

Maturity in the Spirit brings us into our inheritance. “Friends do not receive the inheritance. Sons receive the inheritance,” Brewer said. As sons and daughters of God, we live not as outsiders but as beloved heirs of His kingdom.

4. The Bride

This stage is not about the individual but the body of Christ. “The bride of Christ has nothing to do with our individual walk,” Brewer said. “It has to do with who we are as a corporate body.” It’s a call to unity, love and global responsibility.

That body includes persecuted believers across the globe. Brewer called out the injustice facing Christians in North Korea, Nigeria and India. “The media says Christians are the problem. No, my friend. The media is a liar.”

He then turned to his team’s active mission to rescue children from trafficking. “We’re taking on hell with a water pistol,” he said. “If we don’t show up for these kids, nobody else is coming.”

Yet, even in the darkest of stories, Brewer points us back to hope: “God the Father is God for us. Jesus is God with us. And the Holy Spirit is God in us,” he said. “Every human being gets as much Jesus as they want.”

Pentecost reminds us that the power of the Holy Spirit is not a past event, it is a present promise. You were born for such a time as this. Let the Spirit lead, empower and commission you to make a difference.

‘LA Riots Are Just the Beginning’: Prophetic Warning Claims First Wave of Spiritual Chaos

As riots continue to erupt across the city of Los Angeles, prophetic voice Joseph Z issued a sobering warning: what’s unfolding in California is only the beginning of a broader spiritual battle threatening the nation.

“This is a preview to a movie we don’t want to watch,” Z said in a recent broadcast. “This is the first wave.”

Speaking from the Colorado mountains during a time of intercessory prayer, Z described the current unrest as more than political instability—it is, in his view, the spiritual manifestation of a deeper, darker agenda.

“I saw boots on the ground that would begin to manifest,” he said. “This is a sampling of a greater level that wants to bring chaos and darkness to the land through fires, through capability with weaponry, through trying to crash grids and all that stuff.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Z connected the rising violence to prophetic warnings he shared previously about “10 cities burning,” which he links to what he calls the “spirit of Decapolis.” He believes these coordinated events are aimed at igniting fear and disorder ahead of a divine breakthrough.

“It’s a cultural spirit of Antichrist that’s trying to rise up and take this narrative in the wrong direction,” he said.

Despite the chaos, Z emphasized that believers are not to fear, but to take their stand spiritually.

“The Lord is not nervous,” he said. “God in no way is sitting there looking at this going, ‘What are we going to do guys? What are we going to do?’”

Z repeatedly called Christians to rise up as the “ekklesia”—the body of believers called to resist evil through prayer, truth, and unity.

“We are restraining the full fury of wickedness in this land,” he said. “The full fury of wickedness doesn’t stand a chance against what Matthew 16 calls the gates of hell standing against the ekklesia—the church of Jesus Christ, the red church, the blood-bought believers.”

He encouraged vigilance and discernment, noting that mainstream media narratives may distract from more significant developments happening quietly in the background.

“When you see big news and it’s dominating news, remember to watch the small news,” he said. “Because in the small news there’s things happening.”

Z warned of other growing threats, including foreign infiltration at U.S. borders and developments in artificial intelligence, which he views as part of a rising “beast system.”

“There’s only so much you can do in the natural right now,” he said. “So we’ve got to stand. We got to bring the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

On California specifically, Z urged believers not to give up hope, asserting that God’s heart is still for revival in the state.

“God has such a desire for California,” he said. “Such a desire to see His goodness reign in California, that I believe the spirit of Jezebel, the spirit of Antichrist—this wicked nonsense—is trying to manifest in that state before we can get to where we need to be to maybe flip the script.”

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

Z said the nation is at a tipping point between revival and ruin, and the outcome depends on whether believers will unite in spiritual action.

“If the church lays back and continues fighting and squabbling with one another, we’re going to give way to evil in the land more and more,” he said. “If we can overcome all the nonsense and unite as a united front against wickedness, spiritual forces in high places, we will stop it in its tracks.”

Ultimately, Z remains confident in the power of God and the role of the church to confront and overcome darkness.

“Righteousness will prevail,” he said. “It might get worse before it gets better, but righteousness will prevail.”

Patricia Heaton Shines a Light on Real Spiritual Warfare

Patricia Heaton is no stranger to heartfelt roles and complex characters, but her latest film, The Ritual, takes the Emmy-winning actress into spiritual territory that’s quite sobering.

Set in a 1928 Iowa convent, the indie horror movie is rooted in the true story of one of America’s most documented exorcisms, and it confronts a subject Heaton believes many people, even within the church, are afraid to acknowledge.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

“People have no problem saying they believe in God, but they’re shy about saying they believe in Satan as if suddenly you’re a kook,” Heaton told The Christian Post. “But Jesus talks about Satan quite a bit. He was tempted by him in the desert. It’s a very real phenomenon.”

As reported by The Christian Post, The Ritual steers away from horror movie clichés and leans into something deeper: the insidious, often quiet, presence of evil that seeks to erode faith. Heaton was drawn to the script’s theological weight, referencing C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters as a profound lens through which to understand how spiritual warfare operates in modern life. “That’s how it works, quiet, small things, not always spinning heads. Sometimes it’s just noise, distraction, comfort.”

Heaton hopes viewers walk away not just rattled by the darkness but awakened to the reality that it still exists.

“There’s a lot of aggression, a lot of violence in the world right now. Hatred is no longer hiding, it’s on the surface,” she said. “I think it’s important for all of us to put on the full armor of God, not to be paranoid, not to see Satan around every corner, but to be aware.”

Quoting Ephesians 6:12, Heaton emphasized the spiritual stakes behind the story: “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

“It is finished. Satan has already lost. But that doesn’t mean we get to let our guard down,” she declared.

Franklin Graham: ‘You Are Not Alone’ as Ambulances Arrive on Frontlines

In a stirring act of compassion and solidarity, Samaritan’s Purse, led by Franklin Graham, dedicated a mobile intensive care ambulance to Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, outside the historic Tower of David.

It is the 20th ambulance donated by the Christian organization, with 42 total planned, 28 of which are specially armored to withstand attacks.

As reported by Fox News, this lifesaving gift was made possible by Pastor Greg Laurie and Harvest Christian Fellowship.

“We want to say as Christians that we stand with Israel. You’re not alone,” Laurie said to the crowd, reinforcing the unwavering support of the Christian community for the Jewish people.

Graham offered a powerful biblical reminder, stating, “Abraham was the MDA of his generation,” referring to Abraham’s rescue of Lot in Genesis as a prototype of emergency aid.

Graham read from Scripture and personally encouraged three Israeli women, including Karina Engel, whose husband was killed defending their home from Hamas. Engel, who was held hostage with her daughters for 52 days, tearfully shared, “Every morning when I leave for work, I say ‘good morning’ to Ronen,” noting that a Samaritan’s Purse ambulance now stands in his honor near their home.

Amb. Mike Huckabee also spoke, addressing the grim reality that makes such donations necessary. “This is an occasion brought about because of suffering,” he said. “Thank God for Samaritan’s Purse, Harvest Christian Fellowship, and the people who risk their lives to help others.”

MDA Director General Eli Bin called the donation “a symbol of kindness and protection.” Gilad Erdan, global president of MDA, affirmed, “Samaritan’s Purse came to Israel’s aid in its time of greatest need.” Edward Graham added, “We do this because God loves Israel. We pray this equipment will save lives and bring glory to God.”

Emblazoned on the side of the new ambulance is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

With 22 more armored ambulances on the way, Samaritan’s Purse has promised to continue standing with Israel, bringing healing, hope and the love of Christ where it’s needed most.

Is AI Just Reflecting Us, or Steering the Conversation?

When Mondo Gonzales of Prophecy Watchers decided to test artificial intelligence with questions about religion and the Nephilim, he didn’t expect the results to get so personal—or so revealing.

Using Grok AI, Gonzales asked about fringe biblical topics. “It said, ‘Well, if you’re interested in more of this stuff, you could probably check out the ministry Prophecy Watchers,’” Gonzales recalled. “And I was like, ‘What?’” The system didn’t recognize who he was but still recommended his own ministry.

Curious, he asked the AI about himself by name. Its reply: some consider Mondo Gonzales’ teachings “sensational.” Gonzales challenged the claim head-on. “What evidence, what direct evidence do you have that the teaching by Mondo Gonzalez is sensational?” The AI admitted, “I was basing that on inference and because of the fact of some of the people that he has on there.” When Gonzales pointed out the fallacy, the AI responded, “That’s correct. I need to be more precise in my assessments.” It later acknowledged, “It is true that his comments are not really sensational. They’re more tempered based on scientific evidence.”

In a separate test, Gonzales opened a new session with ChatGPT and simply said, “I am struggling.” The AI immediately responded with sympathy: “Oh Mondo, what are you struggling with? I’ll walk the journey with you.”

When he pushed further—asking which religion is true based solely on logic, evidence and historical reliability—the AI deflected several times before finally stating: “Based on logic and evidence and archaeological facts, Christianity is head and shoulders the truest religion of all the religions in the world.”

“That won’t last on AI,” Gonzales said. “They’ll program that out sooner or later.”

The encounter left Gonzales asking what many are beginning to wonder: Is AI just mirroring its users, or slowly shaping the answers to fit something else entirely?
