Planned Parenthood Busted Helping Human Traffickers

traffickingPlanned Parenthood was caught red handed helping a man posing as a child sex trafficker in New Jersey.

A recently released video clearly shows an office manager in a private meeting with the sex trafficker. In the video, the man makes the nature of his business clear and details that his so-called clients are either minors or illegally present in the United States.

The shocking footage chronicles an office manager laughing and joking with the pimp, and offering tips on how to make his business appear more “ligit.”

Clinic manager Amy Woodruff, LPN, of Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey’s Perth Amboy center, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws, promising, “Even if they lie, just say, ‘Oh he’s the same age as me, 15,’…it’s just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn’t matter if their partner’s the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report.” She says, “For the most part, we want as little information as possible.”

Woodruff also recommends how the pimp can get his prostitutes cheaper contraception by claiming they are “students”: “If they’re minors, put down that they’re students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they’re students–we want to make it look as legit as possible.”

If one of the young trafficked girls needs an abortion, Woodruff refers the pimp and prostitute to the Metropolitan Medical Association, where “their protocols aren’t as strict as ours and they don’t get audited the same way that we do.” The prostitute in the video asks how long after the abortion until the girls can have sex again, and when Woodruff says “minimum of two weeks,” she asks what sex acts the girls could still do to make money. Woodruff advises, “Waist up, or just be that extra action walking by” to advertise sex to potential clients.

“This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Planned Parenthood intentionally breaks state and federal laws and covers up the abuse of the young girls it claims to serve,” said Lila Rose, president of Live Action, the organization that produced the undercover video. “Time and time again, Planned Parenthood has sent young girls back into the arms of their abusers. They don’t deserve a dime of the hundreds of millions they receive in federal funding from taxpayers. Congress must cease funding and the Department of Justice should investigate this corrupt organization immediately.”

This story could be damaging for Planned Parenthood, which received more than $363 million in taxpayer dollars in the last year. There is currently an effort underway in the House of Representatives, known as H.R. 3, which will eliminate all federal funding for abortion. This bill already has 173 cosponsors.

“As the largest abortion provider in America, Planned Parenthood has caused incalculable damage,” says Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law. “Not one penny of our tax dollars should fund Planned Parenthood, either directly or indirectly. The new Congress should immediately defund this killing machine.”

Hagee, Jacobs Offer Prophetic Insight into Egypt Protests

hagee01croppedChurch leaders are urgently calling for prayer in the wake of the ongoing turmoil in Egypt.

John Hagee, founder of Christians United for Israel, and Cindy Jacobs, founder of Generals International, are praying and offering prophetic insight into the crisis in Egypt.

“We have seen this before in the 1979 Iranian Revolution that deposed the Shah of Iran. It looked exactly like Egypt looks today,” Hagee says. “It began with a middle class uprising but ended with a Theocratic Dictatorship taking over Iran. Iran now is on the verge of a nuclear bomb that can destroy Israel, London, England and New York City.”

Hagee says the majority of Americans are sleeping in our greatest hour of danger. Radical Islam has the power and willingness to destroy America and Israel, he says, and the U.S. is publishing toothless sanctions against Iran that are laughable to the theocratic dictators.

“I am asking each of you to join me and the multiplied thousands who are supporters and members of Christians United for Israel to pray for God’s protection of Israel this week,” Hagee says. “You are watching history being made.  America has been on the wrong side of history for many years. When it comes to better get it right!”

Meanwhile, Jacobs issued an open letter to the Church. She says she’s been seeking the Lord for a prophetic word concerning the situation in Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Yemen, and other parts of the Arabic-speaking world as well as those greatly influenced by Islamic teaching.

“I believe we are at that tipping point at this moment where the situation in Egypt could de-stabilize the region to such a degree that just such a scenario would take place,” Jacobs says. “Of course, new regimes could be put in place that would cause Iranian-type oppressions of believers.”

Jacobs is calling for the Body of Christ around the world, and particularly the Arabic-speaking community, to participate in a season of prayer and fasting.

“Further, I feel like I am hearing from the Lord that what Satan has meant for evil, God will turn for good if the church across the Middle East will put aside their doctrinal and denominational differences and come together in unity to pray. The walls of division must fall if the Christian community is going to be protected,” Jacobs says.

“While things seem quite dire, if the church will fast and pray together as one, the turmoil will die down and God will protect the world from a terrible war. On a redemptive note, I see a generation of young leaders arising out of the church who are anointed to preach the gospel and see a great harvest of souls all across the Middle East, as well as North Africa, Central Asia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.”

Egyptian Christians Gather in Homes for Prayer

Christians in Egypt are hoping that protests will ultimately lead to more freedom of religion there. But some are concerned that Islamic rule will take over the government and lead to greater persecution.

Egypt is ranked No. 19 on the Open Doors 2011 World Watch List of the 50 worst persecutors of Christians. Although Christians have not been targeted in the violence over the past week, there have been several attacks in January. On New Year’s Day a suicide bomber killed 22 Christians in front of the Two Saints Church in Alexandria. Egypt has by far the largest Christian minority in the Middle East—an estimated 10 million. The population of Egypt is almost 80 million.

“The people are afraid for the future, since this is an extremely critical time. But we trust in God, and we hope and pray for a new Egypt, with democracy and freedom for Christians,” states “George,” a church pastor involved in the work of Open Doors in Egypt.

Pope Shenouda III of the Coptic Orthodox Church has called upon Coptic Christians to stay away from the demonstrations and to come together and pray for the country, but many Christians are nonetheless engaging in the protests.

“I am in contact with members of my church who have gone into the streets to protest,” George says. “As Christians we are also part of the Egyptian society and community and we cannot stay away from all of this. It matters to us, too. We are also in the middle of it.”

George reports that Christians in Egypt cannot go to church. There is a mosque in every street for Muslims, he explains, but fewer churches available—and most believers don’t feel safe. George reports that gunshots and people being killed on the streets, as well as problems getting food provisions due to pressure on the country’s infrastructure. Banks have been already closed for a week and the ATMs are empty. Christians are coming together in houses to pray.

“It is very important that we pray at this moment,” says George. “We see that the uproar could lead to a better Egypt and that things could turn out for good, but we do not know yet. So prayer is important.

“We pray for the president [Hasni Mubarak], and we do not understand why he has not withdrawn himself from his post. We pray for him that he will do what is good for Egypt and that he will leave at the right moment. Our meetings are also moments to talk about the situation and open our hearts.”

Some Fear Sharia Law, Others Hope for a Better Future

egyptmapcroppedAs a result of protests pressuring Egypt’s President Mubarak to step down, fear has swept across the Western world that a downed government could mean an entry point for Sharia law. Mubarak’s announcement last night that he would remain in office but not run for reelection confirms that someone will need to fill his place.

Protests have been going on for nearly a week now, culminating yesterday with the “March of Millions,” which attracted thousands of people demanding the current president step down. Christians and Muslims alike have included themselves in the protests — all parties fed up with the lack of available jobs and the downward slope the Egyptian economy has been riding.

The unrest leaves room for a revamped government system. Several politicos have voiced the concern that the Muslim Brotherhood could be the group to take the place of Mubarak’s regime.

The International Mission Board does not, however, share these concerns. IMB staff member ‘Michael’ lived in Egypt for years. He says although the introduction of Sharia law is possible, it seems unlikely to be implemented, even in a majority-Muslim country. Michael says Christians are not the only ones who would view a strict Islamic government as a threat.

“The rank and file of Egyptians that we’ve talked to–Muslims–have also recognized that that would not be a good scenario for their country. They know that it would curtail a great many of the freedoms that they enjoy,” confirms Michael.

Although Michael admits that some believers are scared of a potential move toward harsher religious restrictions depending on who picks up the country’s reins, Christians mostly appear optimistic. In fact, many believers are eager to use this time as an opportunity to share their faith.

“What I see across the region is that we may have an initial period of instability that really translates into a time of great opportunity to get [the Gospel] message out there,” noted a Christian worker in North Africa in a recent IMB report. The report went on to say that believers are “guardedly optimistic” that the unrest may have opened people further to the Gospel.

Longer term, Michael says, IMB is hopeful that the protests will not only encourage immediate outreach, but will pave the way for greater religious freedom in the future.

“The best case scenario would be that whatever government comes in would allow more freedoms than we’ve seen in the past; that both national believers and those who come from the outside working in the country would be allowed greater freedoms to be able to share the Gospel; that we’d be able to see church planting and church buildings, the opportunities for that to open up,” says Michael.

Of course, no one can be sure what will happen. Everything on both sides of the spectrum at this juncture is speculative. The best thing for all believers to do now is pray.

Bonnke Plans Togo Return After 20 Years

bonnketakumcroppedReinhard Bonnke just wrapped up another Gospel in Lokoja, Nigeria, one of his last for some time in the African country.

In the final eve of the crusade, Bonnke preached a clear Gospel message on repentance. The result: most of the 150,000 people received Jesus.

The Christ for All Nations team also reported these breakthroughs from the crusade:

  • An eight-year-old girl, deaf and dumb from birth heard and spoke for the first time
  • A man who had been an occultist for the past 24 years was crippled by some debilitating disease. During the campaign, he surrendered his life to Jesus and brought his cultic fetishes to be destroyed. Minutes later, during the prayer for the sick he received a miraculous healing and can now walk.

After 10 years of almost exclusive ministry in Nigeria, Bonnke is now setting his sights on other parts of Africa. In February, the Christ for All Nations team will return to Togo after nearly 20 years.

Cali School Bans Christian Student’s Talent

adf_davidcortmanA fifth grader was nixed from a school talent show—before the child ever had the opportunity to perform. It wasn’t because the child wasn’t talented. It was because the child planned to perform an interpretive movement to a song that contained religious lyrics.

Students were permitted to choose the content of their performances. Some approved performances include songs discussing teenage love, relationship problems, dancing, and violent imagery. Yet Superior Street Elementary School officials refused to allow the fifth-grader’s selected song because it allegedly violates “separation of church and state” and is considered “offensive.”

The song in question is “We Shine.” Songs approved by officials for the show are “Freak the Freak Out,” focusing on relationship problems, “Shake It Up,” with the theme of dancing and celebrating, and “Eye of the Tiger,” with lyrics stating that “we kill with the skill to survive.”

Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) attorneys filed a lawsuit Friday against Los Angeles Unified School District officials on behalf of the student.

“Christian students shouldn’t be censored at public elementary schools because of their beliefs,” says ADF Senior Counsel David Cortman. “When religious content is censored by a public school while the content of other performances discussing similar topics is allowed, we have a major violation of a student’s constitutional rights.”

The mother of the fifth-grader explained that the song represents her child—who selected the song and practiced for months—and not the school, and that there were no restrictions on what students could perform in the show. The school went on to ask the mother why her child couldn’t “pick a song that does not say ‘Jesus’ so many times?”

Daniel R. Watkins of Newport Beach is serving as local counsel in the lawsuit B.H. v. Garcia, which was filed with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division-Los Angeles.

Charisma February Issue Goes Beyond Valentine’s Hype, Focuses on Higher Love

f-Chan-LoveHurtsWhile most people will celebrate romantic love later this month, the February issue of Charisma magazine is already placing the spotlight on an even greater love: the love of God.

Charisma’s February thematic issue—called “The Love Issue” behind the scenes—takes a look at seven facets of God’s multidimensional love by offering teachings, testimonies and remarkable accounts of lives restored and transformed by the love of God.

“It’s impossible to fully describe God’s love,” says Charisma Editor Marcus Yoars. “In fact, that’s part of this issue’s underlying point—that you can’t contain the description of His love in any amount of pages. And although the seven facets we chose are just a tiny fraction of the entire spectrum, each is unmistakable, powerful and unique in displaying the multifaceted heart of God.”

Best-selling author Francis Chan kicks off the issue by reflecting on God’s “crazy” love, while worship leader Misty Edwards offers a Bible teaching on God’s unrelenting passion for people in her article, “I Burn for You.” Evangelist Scott Hinkle’s “The Great Chase” furthers that concept by reminding readers how God’s pursuing love invites us to join Him in drawing people to Himself.

Alongside those teachings is an inspirational testimony about a former lesbian turned evangelist, as well as profiles on Furious Love filmmaker Darren Wilson and missionary Philip Cameron, whose efforts to shelter potential sex slaves in Moldova are transforming the tiny country. Other features in Charisma’s February issue include a first-person account from ex-Korn guitarist and former drug addict Brian ‘Head’ Welch on God’s forgiving love entitled “You Can Start Over.”

“If there’s ever a topic all believers can get excited about, it’s the multifaceted, never-ending love of God!” Yoars says. “I’m excited that Charisma readers have a chance this month to see beyond the commercialism of Valentine’s Day and be encouraged by God’s higher love.”

If you aren’t a Charisma magazine subscriber, you can get hooked up here.

Sinister Hand Behind Scenes in Egypt?

Egypt’s turmoil continued Tuesday, as thousands ignored an emergency curfew.

President Hosni Mubarak attempted to pacify the protestors by announcing a new government Monday, but reports indicated his efforts were met not only with scorn, but also with a unification of the opposition.

This loosely-knit coalition has called for a million people to take to Cairo’s streets to demand Mubarak’s removal. Rody Rodeheaver with IN Network says, “The fear really is: Is this a movement from the grassroots, or is there a sinister hand behind the scenes?”

Among the members of the coalition are fundamentalist Muslims called the Muslim Brotherhood. “The Muslim Brotherhood’s goal really is to institute Sharia law in Egypt.” The threat of Mubarak’s removal is causing concern among the world leaders, but it’s also a point of concern for ministries with partners. “The good thing that was happening through the Mubarak regime was that this organization was being kept in check.”

Even though the Muslim Brotherhood has said it would not take a leadership role in the opposition coalition, Rodeheaver says, “It is a very critical time for the church because if the Muslim Brotherhood will come to power and begin to take control of the country, that would be a very bad thing situation for the church in terms of persecution.”

The chaos in the country is disruptive to their ministry partners. “Any kinds of church services that you’re holding have to be set aside. There’s not free movement. Everybody is on edge, and you are limited in where you can go, when you can have meetings.” The tension is worsened because “you’re always wondering just how much can we do or say, and who can we trust or who can’t we trust?”

Another issue is the threat to family. While in the United States for meetings, the 19-year-old son of IN Network’s Egypt director was conscripted into a guard force for their neighborhood apartment complex.

The men in the building were trying to protect family and possessions from the bands of looters taking advantage of the breakdown in law and order.
The risk: the guard force was armed with clubs. The looters had guns. Troops tasked with bringing the gangs to heel would not discriminate much between the two.

Rodeheaver urges prayer for believers in Egypt. “Pray that some normalcy comes back and that peace can be restored. Secondly, we need to pray that God would give the leaders of His church great wisdom at knowing how to proclaim the Gospel at this very difficult time.”

Will Egypt Crisis Lead to Christian Exodus?

egyptmapcroppedOn Friday, Egypt imposed a curfew as anti-government protests spread outward from Cairo.

Internet service and cell phone text messaging and data plans were disabled across the country.

Protestors spilled into the streets, angry over the pace of political and economic reform. Disillusionment over the lack of opportunity boiled over into rage and touched off by protests of a similar nature in Tunisia.

Demonstrators were at parliament, the prime minister’s downtown office, the headquarters of the ruling National Democratic Party and other government buildings, many of which were set ablaze.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton urged calm even as Egyptian authorities sent in troops to quell the increasingly violent anti-government protests. The U.S. is watching the situation with its formally stable ally with growing apprehension.

The potential for change is enormous, but not always favorable for freedom. We spoke with an Egyptian believer (name withheld for security reasons) who shared his distress over what’s happening in his home. He says there’s a deeper concern to consider, too. “We need prayer for the future of Egypt that it wouldn’t be more aggressive toward Christians, because if an Islamic government came, we will have more problems and violence against Christians.”

If the protestors are successful in overthrowing the government, there will be a power vacuum. That’s especially dangerous, he says, because, “The group that is called ‘Brethren Muslims’ are not really there, but they are in the back rows. I think when something major happens, you will find them there, and they will start raising the slogan of ‘Islam is the solution.'” What will happen to believers, who are already marginalized, in Egypt if this occurs? “They would want the Christians to submit totally to the Islamic system or to leave the country.”

SAT-7, a Christian satellite television ministry to the Middle East and North Africa, has studios in the heart of the unrest. SAT-7’s Rex Rogers says while there is concern for the safety of their staff, they are using their programming to try to counter the messages stirring up the anger. “We continue to try to present a positive view of Jesus Christ, and point people to forgiveness and love and hope that only results spiritually in the heart, and certainly more long term that any political solutions.”

Their live programming allows a forum for viewers to vent frustration, or share their concerns. They can interact with the host through live call-in shows. It’s an outlet to help people process what is going on. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to share a different answer to the rage that’s fueling the demonstrations.

Rogers urges prayer. “God can use this. He’s in charge of all these events, and sometimes when things are most unsettling, hearts are most open.”

What’s your take on the situation in Egypt? What is God saying to you about this?

Report: Unlicensed Doc Operating Late-Term Abortion Center

fetusbigA fetal lethal injection center. That’s how Operation Rescue is defining the latest project from late-term abortionist James S. Pendergraft, IV.

Pendergraft, whose only active medical remains under a double-suspension order in Florida, has set up shop in a secret late-term mill in the Washington, D. C. metro area where late-term abortions are being only partially completed.

Pendergraft has recently launched a Web site called that describes in detail how his new office is soliciting women from all over the nation and from other countries for “intracardiac injection of medication into the fetal heart,” which kills the baby in utero.

Pendergraft describes how women will be told over the phone to meet at a specific location, where they will be met and escorted to the secret facility for their baby’s fatal injection. He does not complete the abortion process at his secret office, but discharges patients within 15 minutes of the lethal injection. The patients have to set an appointment with personal physicians in their home states or other facilities for the removal of the dead baby before infection sets in.

“While Pendergraft attempts to convince the reader this is about security, it is more likely about evading law enforcement, because this dangerous process is highly unethical and likely illegal since he holds no active medical license whatsoever,” says Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

“Pendergraft is a proven danger to the public. This is another example of authorities willing to look the other way and abortionists who are willing to endanger women and violate laws because they believe they are somehow above them. We pray our complaints will help stop this abuse and bring Pendergraft to justice.”

Operation Rescue has filed complaints in the District and both states asking for immediate investigations into Pendergraft’s dangerous late-term abortion operation.
