Ride the Wind: A Prophetic Word About the Holy Spirit’s Direction

I was in prayer, seeking the Lord about the season we’re entering into, and He said something very distinct: Ride the wind!

I’ve learned we need to discern what the Holy Spirit is blowing on and go with that flow. When you discern the grace of God on something you have to tap into that vein until the wind shifts.

We can ride the wind of blessings. We can ride the wind of increase. We can ride the wind of change. We can even ride the wind of adversity for His glory. When you ride the wind, you are in a Holy-Ghost flow and you gain mass momentum. You’re in that sweet spot where you’ve got crazy favor with God and man.

When the Spirit’s Wind Blows

One of the symbols for the Holy Spirit is wind. John 3:8 tells us, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

We were born of the Spirit, but sometimes we want to live out of our heads instead of our hearts. We need to determine in our hearts that we’re going to ride the wind of the Spirit no matter what our reasonings say, no matter what the naysayers say and no matter what the devil says.

The wind of the Spirit blew hard on the day of Pentecost, and the 120 went with the flow. Acts 2:2-4 says, “Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.”

Sometimes we need a fresh baptism of the Spirit. Sometimes we need a fresh baptism of fire. Instead of moaning and groaning in the flesh, sometimes we need to start travailing in the Spirit for that new thing He wants to birth in our lives.

Discerning Wind on a Thing

Before professional cyclists set out to race, the check on the wind direction, wind speed and wind timing. As we run our race, we need to discern the wind of the Spirit’s direction, speed and timing.

But how do you discern the wind of the Spirit on a thing? The Holy Spirit, the wind of God, is the Spirit of grace. Where the Holy Ghost is blowing, there’s grace on a thing—there’s an anointing on a thing.

One definition of grace is divine favor. The favor you have with God unlocks the favor of man. Doors open that you didn’t even knock on. Grace is a Holy Ghost empowerment to do what you cannot do in your own strength. Hard things become easy. A river of provision flows. When grace is on a thing, it’s got momentum behind it. When God’s anointing is a thing, it’s oily. When God’s anointing is on a thing, it releases power.

Embracing the Winds of Change

Of course, to cooperate with the wind we have to discern the type of wind blowing. Sometimes the winds of refreshing are blowing. Other times it’s the winds of intercession or the winds of reconciliation. In this season, the winds of change are steadily blowing.

If we don’t discern the wind, we may resist God, thinking it’s the devil because Holy Spirit is trying to take us to a new place. Most of us don’t want to follow the Comforter to that uncomfortable place of change. We want to stay in the comfort of familiarity. We have to discern the winds of change—the winds of transition.

Here’s some Holy Spirit wisdom: “You have to press into change rather than resist it. That’s the perspective you need. To everything there is a season. Embrace each season as it comes, but be ready to embrace the changes as it ends. The trouble many face is in the transition from one season to the next. Instead of searching for My will, they allow fear to cause a stumbling block in what should be a time of great progress and growth. Change, great change, takes place during transitions because during these times your faith is stretched. You have to let go of what’s comfortable before you can see the greater thing ahead. But faith is a rest, and the Comforter is there to lead you and guide you from the former glory to the next glory. Embrace the change. Look for ways to better yourself and be ready to receive the blessings I have for you in the next place.”

Troubling Heresy About Angels Rising in This Hour

There are many myths circulating the body of Christ about angels these days. You can trace the root of most of them back to the New Age movement and various false religions, as well as pop culture’s influence on society and the church.

But there’s one troubling heresy about angels that is rising rapidly in this hour. Although it’s nothing particularly new—like Solomon said, “There is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1:9)—what I am seeing and hearing in some camps in Christendom is disturbing.

I have seen this for a long time, but with the roll out of my new book, Releasing the Angels of Abundant Harvest, I once again notice how many sincere believers have been taught wrong ideas about the ministry of angels.

The best way to combat darkness is with light. In other words, the best way to dispel error is with absolute Bible-based truth and scriptural proof. With that in mind, I want to explore the subject of angel worship from both sides of heaven.

Why Angels Worship God

We know the angels in heaven worship God. We see this everlasting reality several times in Scripture. We find one of the most stunning visuals of this truth as part of his commissioning.

“In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. One cried to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory'” (Is. 6:1-3).

Consider this spectacular scene of over 100 million angels worshipping the Lord as John describes in Revelation 5:11-13:

Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voices of many angels, numbering ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: ‘”Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” Then I heard every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that are in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!”

We see a similar scene in Revelation 4:8b: “All day and night, without ceasing, they were saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.” Then again in Revelation 7:11-12: “All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, ‘Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen’.”

Angels worship God and God alone. There is no idolatry in the heavenly angelic host. They never grow weary of worship. They are not distracted in worship by the turkey in the oven at home. Even though they can’t quite comprehend the work of the cross or the redemption in the blood of Christ, they find plenty of reasons to worship God. First and foremost, I believe, is that they better understand His wisdom, His beauty, His character and His holiness.

Angels Don’t Want Our Worship

Here’s the other side of the coin: Angels should not be worshipped and indeed do not want your worship. Paul explained to the church at Colossae:

“Do not let anyone cheat you of your reward by delighting in false humility and the worship of angels, dwelling on those things which he has not seen, vainly arrogant due to his unspiritual mind, and not supporting the head, from which the entire body, nourished and knit together by joints and sinews, grows as God gives the increase” (Col. 2:18-19).

We also see John twice bowing down before angels in the book of Revelation, and the angels shunning his adoration. Let’s look at both encounters:

“I fell at [the angel’s] feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘See that you not do that. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy'” (Rev. 19:10, emphasis mine).

“I, John, am he who saw and heard these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. But he said to me, ‘See that you not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!'” (Rev. 22:8-9).

We can release angels by declaring the Word of God because angels hearken to the voice of His Word (Ps. 103:20). We can cooperate with the work of angels. We can rejoice with angels. We may even be able to see angels at times. But we should never, ever worship angels. {eoa}

WARNING: Jezebel’s Witchcraft Is Rising Rapidly in March

News of witches attacking President Donald Trump went viral, but there’s another type of witchcraft attack that all believers need to know about in this season.

The Jezebel spirit’s witchcraft is rising—and always rises—during this time of the year.

Let me clarify, I am not talking about incantations and spells from witches and warlocks. I’m talking about spiritual witchcraft as in 2 Kings 9:22. Some translations say, “Jezebel and her sorceries.”

The word for witchcraft in 2 Kings 9:22 comes from the Hebrew “kesheph.” It means sorcery and witchcraft. Merriam-Webster defines witchcraft as “the use of sorcery or magic, communication with a familiar.” Sorcery is defined as “the use of magical powers that are obtained through evil spirits.” The Queen Jezebel in the Old Testament was influenced by the spirit we call Jezebel today. She was practicing witchcraft—sorcery—against her enemies.

Jezebel Worship Off the Charts

Now, during Lent, some people have a tendency to exalt Mary, the mother of Jesus. But we know that’s not God’s will. God has “highly exalted [Jesus] and gave Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father” (Phil 2:9-11).

I am not Catholic-bashing here. This is not about a religion or a denomination. It’s about spiritual practices in which some are engaging.

Where Mary is exalted, it empowers the spirit of Jezebel and her witchcrafts. Some people in some religions refer to Mary as the queen of heaven. But Ashtoreth, the chief pagan goddess of war and sex mentioned in the Old Testament, is also known as the queen of heaven. And it’s the Ashtoreth spirit that’s behind Jezebel. The Lord speaks of the queen of heaven in Jeremiah 7, noting that the people of Judah were giving offerings to other gods and provoking Him to anger. The Old Testament Jezebel’s father, Ethbal, was the high priest of the goddess.

Again, exalting Mary seems to empower the queen of heaven, also known as Jezebel. Lifting Mary up to a place where only Jesus belongs unleashes demonic activity in that territory. As demonic activity increases, people report feelings of oppression, fatigue, strong spiritual warfare against the mind that makes you feel like quitting, and even physical manifestations for which doctors can’t find a reason. Are you experiencing any of these things?

Passivity Won’t Deliver You From Jezebel’s Witchcraft

Always remember, we aren’t wrestling against flesh and blood, yet we do need to put on our whole armor and engage in the battle. Passivity isn’t going to deliver you from Jezebel’s witchcraft.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is complete” (2 Cor. 10:3-6).

When it comes to witchcraft, we have to withstand it. The Bible says to “be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined]” (1 Pet. 5:9a, AMPC). It’s easy enough to give in to witchcraft, especially if you don’t know what is attacking you. So again, when you feel like giving up, when you feel tired for no reason, when you have strong confusion, when you are fighting an intense battle in your mind and when infirmities are manifesting, it could be witchcraft. Resist it at its onset. Cast it off. Submit yourself to God. “Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

Again, submit yourself to the lordship of Christ. Exalt His name. Thank Him for His blood. Rejoice in the Lord. Praise and worship carry breakthrough. That’s often all it takes to change the spiritual climate in your home. And worship is where we should start because He is worthy of our adoration.

If worship doesn’t break the witchcraft, take authority over it in the name above all names. Witchcraft has to bow at the name of Jesus. But make sure you don’t have any common ground with the enemy. Repent for any rebellion in your heart, and surrender your will anew to God. Remember, we are more than conquerors in Christ, and no weapon formed against us can prosper—not even witchcraft. Our job is to be spiritually discerning enough to catch the devil at his onset, resist him, rebuke him and praise God for the victory. Amen. {eoa}

When the Sneaky Squid Spirit Starts Stalking You

When my friend told me she saw a vision of herself with a big squid lodged atop her head, I knew enough about the unseen world to understand a spiritual attack was underway.

What I didn’t know was that a sneaky squid spirit would soon start stalking me.

Right about now, you might be scratching your head and asking, with all sincerity—or with all mockery—”What in the world is a squid spirit?” Essentially, it’s a spirit of mind control but its affects go way behind what you would think.

In his classic book, Demon Hit List, Eckhardt lists mind control and defines it this way: Octopus and squid spirits having tentacles; confusion, mental pressure, mental pain, migraine.” Sounds a lot like witchcraft, and I imagine that’s what it actually is. There are many expressions—and many manifestations—of witchcraft.

A Natural Examination With Spiritual Implications

In the natural, a squid is a cephalopod with eight short arms and two longer tentacles. Different than an octopus with its big round head, a squid has a long skinny body with fins on both sides.

Like an octopus, the squid has tentacles. Tentacles are essentially what science calls a muscular hydrostat, which works sort of like a tongue. Muscular hydrostats manipulate—catch that word—things around it. People manipulate your mind with their tongues. Squids manipulate your mind with their sucker-laced tentacles.

To be sure, tentacles have lots of “suckers.” The squid’s suckers are even more effective than the octopus’ in capturing prey. P.Z. Myers spells it out on : “They contain a piston-like structure inside an interior chamber, coupled so that when something tries to pull away from the sucker, it lifts the piston, further decreasing pressure inside and strengthening its grip—like a Chinese finger-trap, the more you struggle, the harder it is to get away.”

Here’s a lesson: We’re not wrestling against flesh and blood. We can’t overcome a squid attack in our flesh. The more we struggle in our flesh, the greater the hold this spirit seems to get on us. The more we get in our heads trying to figure things out, the more ground the squid takes because the squid is attacking our head (our mind).

Squids also have a chameleon persona. reveals, “Squid have the largest nervous system in the animal kingdom. They have the ability to change colors because they have translucent skin. The colors come from chromatophores, which are pigment cells that are on the outside of the skin that expand or contract to show colors.”

Spiritually speaking, this chameleon-like characteristic means it can change its behavior or appearance to stay hidden. It’s sneaky! Squids are fast swimmers and some of them can even fly. Again, that’s why you need discernment in any spiritual battle. Internet checklists and articles can be helpful if the Holy Spirit illuminates the truths within them, but we must ultimately wage prophetic warfare if we are going to win the battle.

Conquering the Squid Spirit

After this squid spirit attacked my friend, I went to her home to help her battle it. The attack was severe, but when I laid hands on her and commanded the squid to be bound, the most violent symptoms would cease. Of course, when you stand in the gap, you often take a hit. That squid spirit started stalking me. I ended up with a migraine during the battle—a manifestation of that mind control spirit—and was attacked in my mind for days afterwards.

Fear can open the door to a squid spirit. Of course, unforgiveness is an open door for the enemy. But let’s face it: The enemy doesn’t need an open door to attack. He can strike when we least expect it, which is why we’re to live in a battle-ready state and walk with the Spirit of God who can warn us of impending attacks.

The good news here is a squid’s tentacles do not grow back once severed. If you get discernment that a squid spirit is attacking you, repent for any known open doors, grab some intercessors, and get that sneaky stalker with its manipulating suckers off your mind! Sever the tentacles, in the name of Jesus, and walk free.

A Testimony of Freedom

After that squid skirmish, I was reading Richard Ing’s book, Spiritual Warfare, and he described the spirit of mind control as often seen as a giant squid with 10 tentacles that stick into brains or cover heads. He had a vision one night after praying about this squid spirit:

I saw a man with a wide, ark brown band around his head and around his body. The bands appeared almost black in color and looked like the metal bands that hold wooden barrels together. Suddenly something cut or broke the bands, and they fell off. The man smiled. Immediately, I found myself above the park again. Then, I saw the balloons floating freely up towards and beyond me. It seemed as if the person holding the balloons had let them go. They floated into the heavens.

The very next day, I sat in church discussing the spirit of mind control. The assistant pastor shared that he had received a vision the night before in which he found himself bound up with dark brown bands around his head and body. We went after the spirit of mind control that night, and a number of people received deliverance from that spirit.

Amen, deliverance belongs to you! {eoa}

5 More Telltale Signs You Might Need Deliverance

You keep hitting the same wall. You are practicing sin and can’t stop. These are two of the five signs you might need deliverance I shared with you a few weeks ago.

Of course, those aren’t the only signs of demonic activity in your life. Demons can oppose you from the outside, but they can also oppress you from the inside.

When it comes to spirits at an individual level, I subscribe to the late Dr. Lester Sumrall’s theory of demon possession as outlined in his Demonology & Deliverance manual. I believe there are seven stages of demonic influence: regression, repression, suppression, depression, oppression, obsession and, possession.

For the record, I do not believe a Christian can be demon-possessed. Jesus came to set the captives free, and He has given us a command and the authority to go along with it to cast out demons.

1 John 3:8b tells us, “For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” And Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

As I said before, you can be demonized in your emotions, in your mind, in your body or your physical lusts. But how can you tell if you need deliverance? Read these five telltale signs of demonic oppression below, but remember—Jesus came to set the captives free.

1. You hear constant voices in your head, and you can’t shut them out.

The late Derek Prince used to say, “Anything that has a voice is a person.” If you can’t rid yourself of the imaginations, you could have a demon. When you meditate on the Word and it doesn’t renew your mind, there’s a stronghold.

2. You have obsessions and compulsions you cannot control.

These may include: strange fears and phobias, suicidal thoughts, sexually perverse thoughts, aggressive thoughts, rituals that control you, constant doubts over whether you left something, didn’t turn something off, high anxiety when things aren’t done your way, strange impulses to behave unusually, hoarding and addictions (food, sex, drugs).

3. You have constant feelings of guilt, condemnation and shame and rejection.

Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” If you cannot shake the intense feelings of guilt, condemnation, shame and rejection, you could have a demonic stronghold in your soul.

4. You have post-traumatic stress disorder.

Trauma starts as a shock against the soul. Left unhealed, it attracts a demon that torments you. The spirit of trauma wastes no time entering into innocent youthful minds unable to process emotions like adults—but it can strike at any age. Adults who don’t know how or refuse to take the trauma to the Lord are also subject to demonic oppression.

5. You have mental health problems and feel tormented.

If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or uncontrollable emotions, you could be battling advanced demonic oppression. Deep discouragement, the need to control everything, self-pity, fear and extreme loneliness are not normal behaviors for Christians.

Yes, demons can oppress Christians. But remember, you can repent, renounce and break free, in the name of Jesus! {eoa}

7 Vital Truths You Need to Know About Angels

Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve the heirs of salvation (Heb. 1:14). Angels help us, protect us, send messages to us, unfold revelation, guard us and more. Angels are all around us.

Since the Lord gave me the prophetic word about the angels of abundant harvest, I’ve been studying angels more and more. While God must remain the center of our focus—we need to study His will, character and ways—we’d be foolish to ignore what the Bible says about angels.

The Bible mentions angels and other heavenly creatures over 370 times. They appear as men. They appear in dreams. They appear in brilliance. They appear in visions. They appear in trances. They have walked and talked with men on the earth. They move at the speed of light.

Here are seven specific truths we need to know about angels at a time when the Lord has released the angels of abundant harvest:

1. Angels obey the Lord’s commands, not ours. I hear many, especially spiritual warriors, commanding angels. I cannot find in Scripture anywhere we are to command angels. Psalm 91:11 (AMP) says, “For He will command His angels in regard to you, To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].” And Psalm 103:20 says, “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who are mighty, and do His commands, and obey the voice of His word.”

2. Angels have a free will. Like humans, angels are not robots. We know that one-third of the angels followed Lucifer (Satan) in his insurrection and were cast of heaven with him. Jude 6 (MEV) tells us plainly, “Likewise, the angels who did not keep to their first domain, but forsook their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.” Angels choose to serve the living God, just as we do.

3. You have angels. In Matthew 18:10, Jesus said: “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” Angelic activity in the New Testament era was common. When Peter was released from prison (by an angel) he came knocking on the door where intercessors were praying for his release—but they didn’t believe when he actually showed up. They said, “It is his angel” (Acts 12:15b). The Bible says angels are ministering spirits to those who inherit salvation (Heb. 1:14).

4. Angels never die. Luke 20:36 says, “For they cannot die any more, for they are equal to the angels and are the sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.”

5. Angels serve as deliverers. Although God is our fortress, our strength and our deliverer, He can choose to send angels with deliverance assignments. Psalm 34:7 bears this out, “The angel of the Lord camps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.”

6. Angels can speak with a loud voice. Revelation 7:2 reveals, “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. He cried out with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the earth and the sea …”

7. Angels have strong discernment. 2 Samuel 14:17 says, “So, your servant thought, ‘May the word of my lord the king provide rest. For like the angel of God, my lord the king discerns good from evil. May the Lord your God be with you.'”

These are only some of the many truths about angels and angelic beings. The Lord releases angels to accomplish many assignments, including bringing in harvest. We’ll continue our study on angels in the weeks ahead.

The Lord has released the angels of abundant harvest. Find out how you can cooperate with them at . {eoa}

5 Telltale Signs You Might Need Deliverance

Like angels, demons are created beings. When Lucifer rebelled and was cast out of heaven, along with a third of the angels that followed his rebellion. Demons are fallen angels. They are evil spirits that work against God’s will. The late Derek Prince called them persons without bodies—and Jesus cast them out everywhere He went.

You can be demonized in your emotions, in your mind, in your body or your physical lusts. But how can you tell if you need deliverance? Read these five telltale signs of demonic oppression below, but remember—Jesus came to set the captives free.

1. You keep hitting the same wall. It seems like you get to a certain point in God and can go no further. Something is holding you back, and you don’t know what it is. You feel like you go around the same mountain over and over again and can never break through. You watch others pass you up in the spirit even though you are as gifted and work as hard as they do. You’re frustrated and upset, and you’ve done everything you know what to do, but you’re not growing in God.

2. You are practicing sin and can’t seem to stop. It may be a sin everybody sees or a sin nobody but you and God see. If you are practicing sin, and you keep trying to stop but can’t resist the temptation, you could need deliverance. People describe this as “something coming over them,” and they can’t seem to stop.

3. You don’t see the fruit of Spirit in your life even though you try to follow after God. Galatians 5:18-25 says:

Now the works of the flesh are revealed, which are these: adultery, sexual immorality, impurity, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, rage, selfishness, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I previously warned you, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law. Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Any work of the flesh can lead you into the demonic. It takes time to develop the fruit of the Spirit, and we all have our breaking points when we “get in the flesh,” but if the works of the flesh are manifesting and the fruit of the Spirit is largely absent, you may need deliverance.

 4. You see a pattern of issues in your family, whether disease, poverty, anger, divorce, sexual perversion or other issues. Numbers 14:18 tells us, “The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.”

Pastor Larry Huch once told me:

The world says it like this, “Like father, like son.” The Word says it like this, “The iniquity of the father passes on from generation to generation.” Many times we translate the word “iniquity” as “sin.” But it’s not the sin that passes on from generation to generation. It’s the curse, the penalty. A curse is a spirit that passes from generation to generation until someone finally figures out how to stop it in Jesus’ name.

 5. You are sick all the time and the doctors find nothing wrong. You could be dealing with a spirit of infirmity. Luke 13:10-13 tells this story:

He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years and was bent over and could not straighten herself up. When Jesus saw her, He called her and said to her, ‘Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.’ Then He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God.’

Yes, demons can oppress Christians. But remember, you can repent, renounce and break free, in the name of Jesus! {eoa}

Prophecy: Press Into the Shift in Your Heart

Every morning, I gather with hundreds of people to pray prophetically in our Mornings With the Holy Spirit prayer calls. This was birthed out of a week-long prayer series for my devotional by the same name over two years ago.

These calls have grown increasingly prophetic in nature. So much so that I complied a CD of prophetic songs, sounds and decrees that defy impossibilities called Dream Wild from words released in those early-morning devotions. Below, I’m offering a transcript of one of my prayer sets. I know this will inspire and encourage you!

Some of you are frustrated with your own spiritual growth. You’re pressing, you’re pressing, you’re pressing. But the Lord would say to you, remember, you are not the one who causes yourself to grow. For you are growing in my grace. And even though you can’t see it with your eyes, know that I’ve done a deep work, says the Lord, and I’m continuing to do this work in your heart. I am rooting you and grounding you deeply into My kingdom, deeply into My Son.

And you might not see the fruit that you want to see now, says the Lord, but you will see it. Do not give up and do not grow weary in well doing because in due season—in the kairos time—in the perfect moment, you will reap a harvest if you do not faint.

You will see that peace in your life. You will see that joy in your life. You will see that compassion in your life. I am pulling out weeds that are in your heart even now. I am rooting them out even now, says the Lord, and you will see that as I water your soul with My Word and as you meditate on things I’ve said to you in past seasons, you are going to begin to see the manifest, says the Lord, because you are coming into that place, you have cultivated your heart.

The fallow ground has been shaken up. You’ve seen some turbulence in your life. You’ve seen some things come to the surface and you said, “I thought that was gone, Lord. I thought I dealt with that, Lord.” But I have shaken it up, says the Lord, so it can come to the surface like dross when silver is being refined.

And you will see if you are willing to let go—really let go—says the Lord, that I will begin to water what remains and strengthen what remains. Those things that I have put in you, I will strengthen them and bring them to the fore, and people will come and to you and say, “You’ve changed. What has shifted? What has happened?”

And you will give me the glory, because you cannot change yourself. But I am changing you. I am the change agent in your life. The Holy Spirit is the change agent in your life—and the Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of you. And He is working on you even when you don’t know it. He is whittling away things that don’t belong there.

 And as you yield to Him, says the Lord, as you yield to the work of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, you will see His fruit manifest, you will see His gifts manifest, you will see the love of God toward others—even those who have wronged you—manifest. You will see it, says the Lord. {eoa}

Shake off the despair. Toss aside the thoughts that have bound you, in Jesus’ name. It’s time to shake it off. It’s time to come up higher. It’s time to run faster toward the Lord. I break off the lethargy. I break off the apathy the enemy has tried to put upon you. I break it off, in Jesus’ mighty name.

I say no weapon formed against you shall prosper. You are the weapon. You are the Lord’s battle axe. You are His child, His son, His daughter. He will use you. He will put His word in your mouth. He will give you dreams and visions. He will lead you and guide you through this time, this season of disruption.

The reason you are seeing a disruption in your life is because there’s about to be an eruption of God’s glory. I prophesy to you right now, in Jesus’ name, hear the word of the Lord: The reason you’ve seen a disruption, the reason things are bubbling over, the reason there’s so much chaos is because there’s about to be an eruption of God’s glory in your life.

Get the new devotional, Evenings With the Holy Spirit.

I prophesy to you there’s about to be an eruption of God’s goodness in your life. There’s about to be an overflow of His provision in your life. Those things you’ve cried out for in past seasons, says the Lord, are coming to pass even now. There’s a disruption going on. There’s a disruption going on. There’s a disruption going on because it’s your kairos.

You are coming into that season, that opportune time, that moment you’ve been waiting for. It’s about to happen. So the things around you that are being disrupted, don’t try to hold onto them. Don’t try to grab hold of them, but grab hold of God. Grab hold of Him.

The Lord would say to you, “It’s a season of disruption because there’s about to be an eruption.”

Thank you, Lord. Let your goodness flow like a volcano’s lava. Let your mercy flow in the midst of this disruption. Let us not miss our day of visitation. Let us not miss that moment where You’ve come to open a door no man can shut. Let us not miss this moment in time when we can be healed, we can be delivered, our prodigals can come home.

Oh, the Lord says, “Ask anything in My name and I will do it for you.” Let faith arise, let faith arise, let faith arise in the name of Jesus. “Ask anything in My name in this season of disruption,” says the Lord, “and you will see an eruption of prayer answers. You will see. You will see.”

What You Need to Know About Angelic Watchers

Angels have many functions, from protecting to providing, but angelic watchers are roaming the earth on assignment—and have been through the ages.

Angels don’t often carry names in the Bible, but they are called out by function, purpose or operation. The book of Revelation speaks of an angel who has power of fire (Rev. 14:18), as well as an angel of the waters (Rev. 16:5), an angel who binds Satan (Rev. 20:1-2) and an angel of the abyss (Rev. 9:11).

Where does the concept of watcher angels come in? We see watcher angels many times in the Bible. They are often seen observing. Let’s look at a few examples in Scripture:

“I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him will the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God” (Luke 12:8-9).

“Likewise, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10).

“For I think that God has exhibited us, the apostles, last, as if we were sentenced to death. For we have been made a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men” (1 Cor. 4:9).

“Without question, great is the mystery of godliness: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up into glory” (1 Tim. 3:16).

“I command you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality” (1 Tim. 5:21).

“It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, concerning the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit, who was sent from heaven—things into which the angels desire to look” (1 Pet. 1:12).

Those are just a few examples of watcher angels worth noting in the Bible. But why are they watching? They waiting for an assignment. They are ready to hearken to the voice of God’s word (see Psalm 103). They are available to reap the harvest, to deliver people from danger, to communicate a message and more.

Angels are holy and seek to do God’s will. You can grieve angels with your words and deeds just as you can grieve the Holy Spirit. Wherever you go and whatever you do, remember angels are watching—they want to help you do God’s will in the season of abundant harvest.

The Lord is releasing angels of abundant harvest. Find out how to cooperate with them at . {eoa}
