5 Traits of Eagle Prophets (and Avoiding Vulture Prophets)

There are eagle prophets and vulture prophets. You want to soar with the former and avoid the latter.

Eagle prophets and vulture prophets manifest in much different spirits. In this teaching video, I explain some of the key distinctions.

Exposing Bloodsucking Christian Chameleon Vampires

Someone recently prophesied to me that “God is shaking loose all the bloodsuckers trying to hang on for a free ride.” That resonated with my spirit so I started looking up definitions—and looking for the bloodsuckers.

What is a bloodsucker? Simply stated, a bloodsucker is an animal that sucks blood, a leech, a mosquito or a tick. Collins English Dictionary defines bloodsucker is “any creature that sucks blood from a wound that it has made in an animal or person.” Synonyms for bloodsucker include predators, sharks, vultures, wolves and vampires.

So, what’s a vampire? According to Merriam-Webster, it’s “the reanimated body of a dead person believed to come from the grave at night and suck the blood of persons asleep; one who lives by preying on others.”

Saints, wake up. It’s time to cut off the bloodsuckers in your life. In this video, I explain how.

A Warning to Preachers Engaging in Ministry Espionage

When I was a business and technology journalist, I wrote my fair share of articles about corporate espionage, cyberspying and violations of intellectual property. Let’s just say it’s big business—until you get caught.

defines corporate espionage as “the act or practice of spying to gain secret information on a government or a business competitor. According to the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals, corporations spent an estimated $2 billion spying on each other in 2004 alone. In the Internet world, it’s called cyberspying, and it’s all about tapping into someone else’s intellectual property to gain an advantage.

It doesn’t surprise me to see these types of activities in a Babylonian world. But it grieves me to see it going on in the church. Yes, we’ve entered the age of kingdom espionage; a world where teachers, preachers and pastors spy out the plans and strategies of other gospel ministers so they can race to the market with a copycat revelation, product or service that puts money in their bank accounts and adds credibility to their name.

While all revelation belongs to God and certainly God speaks the same things to many people, it’s clear to the discerning heart when copycat preachers tap into someone else’s innovation for their own increase. And it’s so unnecessary. God is not lacking in revelation, innovation or increase. He wants to pour it out on His children—but we have to seek it.

A Spirit of Innovation

As I said earlier this year, we are in an age of innovation and acceleration. Prophetically speaking, as part of this metamorphosis I see a spirit of innovation coming into the church. The see innovations throughout the Bible in the form of inventions, which are tied to our creator God’s wisdom impartations. Proverbs 8:12 (KJV) tells us, “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”

The Bible speaks of Jubal, the first of those who played the harp and flute (see Gen. 4:21) and Zillah, the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron (see Gen. 4:22). Second Chronicles 26:15 speaks of Uriah, who made engines of war invented by skillful men.

In modern times, many inventors credit God with their innovations. George Washington Carver, who invented at least 300 products from peanuts—including paper, soap, glue and medicines—said, “The Lord has guided me,” and “without my Savior, I am nothing.” Mary Hunter, an award-winning chef, insists all her recipes come from heaven: “I don’t have a cookbook. God gives me my own. Prayer is where I get 99 percent of my recipes.”

Gary Starkweather, an engineer who invented the laser printer, said: “I believe that to a great extent, the creativity we possess is because the Creator put it there. God put things [in us] as tool developers and creative individuals and I think it has to please Him when He sees us use those faculties to make something completely new.”

I agree with Starkweather’s revelation and we need to embrace this pure wisdom from above.

God is a Creator, an innovator and an inventor, and we were created in His image and in His likeness. John 1:3 proclaims, “All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created.” I believe this is still true; and that witty inventions, technologies, scientific breakthroughs and other innovations that make a positive impact on society are inspired by His Spirit, even if the inventor does not yet know Him.

The church has been lagging on the innovation front. Religion has offered us a form of godliness without its power (see 2 Tim. 3:5). When the power of God comes on the scene, eyes are opened to what was unseen, dreams come alive, and creativity is inspired. The Lord wants to bring a metamorphosis to the church that is innovation-driven so we can reach unchurched people who have rejected religion.

Copycat Preachers Corrupt Innovation

Here’s a friendly word to all the copycat preachers who steal prophetic words, mimic the ministry blueprints of others instead of getting their own innovation from God, and otherwise stand up to teach something of which they know nothing about: Repent.

Repent. Change the way you think. God wants to give you witty inventions and innovative ideas that set you apart. He wants to use you to change the world. If you want to see fruit that remains, do it His way.

Hear me: If you’re in ministry to build your personal kingdom by spying out the ideas of others, you will eventually fall on your face and hurt a lot of people. But if you press into your unique gifts and callings and seek His face for your messages, prophecies, books and programs, you’ll empower people to change their lives. That’s what it’s all about—helping people.

Repent. Don’t run your ministry the way the world runs mega conglomerates. God anointed Jesus to proclaim the good news to the poor, liberty to the captives, recovery of the sight to the blind and freedom to the oppressed (see Luke 4:18). God has anointed you to do something original—something unique. Don’t let the spirt of the world—or the spirit of competition—tempt you to bow to Babylon’s ways and become a cyberspy instead of a supernatural innovator.

Stop Worrying and Start Living When You Swing These Spiritual Swords

Everyone worries from time to time. I used to be a bonafide worrywart. But God has not called us to fear, worry, fret or anything of the like. If you have a worry and anxiety addiction, it’s time to break free. Meditate on these 18 Scriptures to help overcome worry and anxiety as I did.

Philippians 4:6-7

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

1 Peter 5:3-8

“Do not lord over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of glory that will not fade away. Likewise you younger ones, submit yourselves to the elders. Yes, all of you be submissive one to another and clothe yourselves with humility, because “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you. Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Matthew 6:33-34

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you. Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof.”

Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me.”

Matthew 11:28-30

“‘Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.'”

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Psalm 55:22

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be moved.”

Philippians 4:19

“But my God shall supply your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

John 14:1

“Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me.”

Luke 1:37

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters and that spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green, and it shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

Psalm 94:19

“When there is a multitude of worries within me, Your comforts delight my soul.”

Isaiah 26:3

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

Romans 15:13

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

Romans 8:31

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Colossians 3:2

“Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth.”

7 Sure Signs You’re in a ‘Christian’ Cultish Church

Are you in a Christian cult? A cult-like church? Is your church leadership manipulating and controlling you?

It’s hard to believe these things happen—but they do. And many times you feel like you must be crazy or that the enemy is just making false accusations. I came out of a cultish church.

I’m offering you seven signs and personal examples of Christian cults and cult-like churches.

When You Feel Like a Rubber Band Ready to Snap

I spend several days a week lifting heavy weights and doing all sorts of crazy new exercises in the gym. Sometimes, I forget to stretch and end up with muscles so tight I can barely walk two days later. That soreness makes me want to skip the next workout. You might say my muscles are “weary in well- doing.”

Lately, I’ve found myself in God’s gym—lifting heavy spiritual weights and doing all manner of uncomfortable new exercises. I don’t have to worry about the stretching part. He’s doing that too. God’s stretching is sometimes as painful on our souls as working over a sore muscle—I’m reminded of Lurch from The Addams Family on that medieval-looking stretching machine in the dungeon—but it leaves you with a spiritual capacity great enough to move into the next season He’s ordained for you.

These words from the Lord, which I recorded in my devotional Mornings With the Holy Spirit: Listening Daily to the Still Small Voice of God, helped me understand God’s heart in the stretching:

“Will you fully yield to Me? Will you submit to My will even when it looks contrary to Your will? Will you allow Me to stretch you in this season? I want to enlarge your capacity to hold spiritual things, but that means letting go of carnal things to make more room for Me. It means cultivating a new harvest of My fruit in your heart. I want to let My gifts flow through you, but that means you must release the things that hinder My love. Will you allow Me to stretch you? Will you decrease so Jesus can increase in your heart?”

One thing I’ve learned in times of pressure is that there’s pressure from the inside—what I call Holy Ghost pressure—and pressure from the outside the comes from people, places, things (and some of those “things” include demons). It’s easy enough to resist God in the name of resisting the devil just because you don’t like what’s happening and assume the assignment came from the pits of hell. I’ve seen others lay down and let the devil walk all over them in the name of yielding to the Holy Spirit. Don’t do that! Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what is of Him and what is against His will for your life. Yield to God, resist the devil.

Here’s another thing I’ve learned about pressure. Whether it comes from the hand of God or the enemy, if you’ll just keep pressing through the pressure you’ll not only gain strength, the pressure will eventually let up. Don’t give up. God knows how much you can handle and He won’t let the enemy press you past what you can bear, either. Through the pressing, you are building spiritual strength and character that will serve you well on the next phase of your journey.

God has purpose for everything He does. Take confidence knowing that He’s stretching you so that you can hold more of His power, gain more of His wisdom, more of His character—more of Him. He wants to increase your influence and enlarge your territory. This is my prayer. Maybe it will help you too:

I say yes to You, Holy Spirit. I say yes to Your will and Your ways even when I don’t understand Your work in my life. I ask You to enlarge my spiritual capacity, to enlarge my heart to love You more, and to help me surrender all that is getting in the way. {eoa}

Is Déjà Vu Prophetic or Psychic Paranormal Witchcraft?

Is déjà vu prophetic or witchcraft? I’ve been pondering this for a long time. In fact, I discussed this with a group of prophets 10 years ago and never picked it up again.

Déjà vu is a French phrase that means “already seen.” Merriam-Webster defines déjà vu as “the illusion of remembering scenes and events when experienced for the first time” and “feeling that one has seen or heard something before” and “something overly or unpleasantly familiar.”

Dionne Warwick sang a song about Déjà vu in the 1970s. This Top 40 song comes to mind whenever this topic emerges. Hers is a love song. The Bee Gees also recorded a song about déjà vu, opining about a great love, as did Beyonce and others. The secular music world, mostly motivated by the prince of the power of the air, is fascinated with the concept.

Déjà Vu: More Common Than You Think

I’ve experienced this many times—and you probably have too. About two-thirds of the population reports déjà vu experiences, according to a report in Current Directions in Psychological Science. But the scientific world can’t settle on the root of déjà vu.

According to research, déjà vu can come from mental disorders like anxiety, dissociative identity disorder or schizophrenia. Déjà vu can come from medical disorders like epilepsy, and some pharmaceutical drugs can cause this “already seen” experience.

Other researchers point to memory-based origins. Psychology Today offers three reasons for déjà vu: 1) the result of some sort of “mismatch” in how we’re simultaneously sensing and perceiving the world around us; 2) a fleeting malfunctioning between the long- and short-term circuits in the brain; 3) and a region of the brain called the rhinal cortex, involved in detecting familiarity, may be inexplicably activated without actually activating memory (hippocampal) circuits.”

Is It Really a Familiar Spirit?

Some prophetic people point to déjà vu as a deep prophetic experience. Could it be possible that God is using what feels like déjà vu to communicate His truths? Or is it a familiar spirit? Is it witchcraft?

Some witches seem to feel this is a gift. On witch who claims to experience déjà vu three times a week was advised by another witch that she had a gift. Another witch claims déjà vu is a sign of being a witch. Some paranormalists insist it’s precognition and still others point to a connection with a past life.

Déjà vu is mentioned nowhere in the Bible, but one thing is certain: It is not a spiritual gift. This is not the gift of prophecy. It’s not the word of knowledge. Scripture is very clear that some supernatural communications and expressions come from God’s Spirit (see 1 Cor. 12:4-11) while others come from evil forces (see Deut. 18:10-12).

Could what feels like déjà vu be God showing you something? Possibly. But give its connection to witches and the paranormal, the concept of déjà vu does not belong in a prophetic person’s spiritual vocabulary of God expressions. At best, it’s likely a similar memory that’s buried in your subconscious. At worst, it’s witchcraft.

19 Scriptural Revelations That Make Your Prayer Life More Effective

James 5:16 (AMPC) assures us: “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” But why aren’t you getting prayer answers? Could it be possible you are praying the wrong type of prayer?

Check out this video teaching where Jennifer expounds on some of the 19 scriptural revelations that make your prayer life more effective.

We’re in a Jehu Season to Throw Jezebel Down

Intercessors, it’s time to throw Jezebel off the wall. But you can’t throw Jezebel off the wall if you don’t dwell on the wall.

Intercessors who live on the wall of intercession—those watch and pray day and night, night and day—gain a position of authority to throw Jezebel down.

You can’t dwell on the wall until you build the wall. In this season, God is looking for intercessors who will make a wall, stand on it, and actually dwell on it to prevent Jezebel from gaining further inroads of destruction in families, churches and cities.

God is emphasizing Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV) in this hour: “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Rahab Lived on the Wall

When Joshua sent two spies into Jericho, the spies entered Rahab’s house. When the king found out about it, he sent men to her house to take the Israelites captive. Instead of handing them over, she made a wall of intercession. Rahab told the king’s men the Hebrews had escaped—then helped them escape.

Consider this act of intercession in Joshua 2, understanding that one definition of intercession is “interpose.” “Interpose” means to intervene or to put a barrier or obstacle between or in the way of, according to .

“Then Rahab lowered them by a rope through the window, for her home was set into the wall where she lived. She said to them, “Go to the hill country so that the pursuers do not find you. Hide there three days until the pursuers return. After that, you can go on your way (Josh. 2:15-16, MEV).

Since her house was on the wall, she could provide a way of escape even when the gate was shut. Her intercession was their only hope of deliverance from the enemy. Rahab offered an act of intercession that saved the lives of two Israelites on a mission from God. But God rewarded her intercession by saving her entire family.

Gaining God’s Perspective

Intercessors who live on the wall have a perspective that can only be attained by living on the wall. Some intercessors only see the wall the enemy has erected. Other intercessors try to peek over the wall to see what God is doing.

Intercessors who live on the wall can see further out into the spirit, gain God’s view into the situation, and tap into a divine prayer strategy to see His will come to pass.

Rahab lived on the wall. No doubt, she prayed on the wall. And when the walls of Jericho came crashing down God’s wall of protection preserved Rahab and her family. Her act of intercession paved the way for God’s will and actually paved the way for the Messiah, who was birthed through her family line (see Matt. 4:1-6).

Only intercessors who build the wall and then live on the wall are positioned to throw Jezebel off the wall in this season. These are Nehemiah intercessors who build with one hand and carry a weapon in the other hand (see Neh. 4:17).

A Jehu Season

Intercessors who build walls of prayer have a distinct authority to throw down spirits that try to penetrate that wall or erect a stronghold on that wall. Intercessors who live on the wall incline their ear to the Lord’s command to throw Jezebel down at the right moment.

The right moment is now. We’re in a Jehu moment; a Jehu season to throw Jezebel down. In 2 Kings 9:32-34 (NKJV) Jehu “looked up at the window, and said, ‘Who is on my side? Who?’ So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, ‘Throw her down.’ So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot. And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said, ‘Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.'”

It’s time to throw Jezebel down in your family, your church and your workplace. Again, you do this in the place of prayer. And after you throw her down, bury all memory of her. Move on with your life in victory!

6 Keys to Building Faith to See in the Spirit Realm

How do you cultivate faith to see in the spirit realm?

Cultivating faith to see in the spirit realm is altogether different than walking by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). It’s different, too, from seeing circumstances through the eyes of faith. We’re talking about building faith to see the unseen according to God’s will.

This video offers six keys and a prayer that will ignite your faith to see in the spirit realm.
