Tragedy in Haiti: Young US Missionary Couple Among Three Killed in Capital

A U.S. missionary couple was abducted, shot and killed by criminal gang members in Haiti’s capital after ministering at a youth group activity at a local church, according to a police official and their missions group.

Former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, did not mince words after learning about the slaying of a Missouri state representative’s daughter and son-in-law.

“God bless Davy and Natalie,” he wrote in a post to Truth Social. “Such a tragedy. Haiti is totally out of control. Find the killers NOW!!!”

Missouri state Rep. Ben Baker (R) announced Friday that a Haitian gang killed his daughter Natalie and son-in-law Davy Lloyd serving as missionaries there.

“My heart is broken in a thousand pieces,” Baker wrote on Facebook. “I’ve never felt this kind of pain.”

He continued, “Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full-time missionaries in Haiti. They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family. We desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.”

Natalie and Davy were working with Missions in Haiti, Inc., a ministry organization founded in 2000 by Davy’s parents, David and Alicia Lloyd.

In a separate Facebook post, the mission organization stated the young couple were leaving the church building Thursday night after a youth service when “they were ambushed by a gang of [three] trucks full of guys.”

“Davy was taken to the house, tied up and beat[en],” the post continued. “The gang then took our trucks and loaded everything up they wanted and left. Another gang came after to see what was going on and if they could help, so they say. No one understood what they were doing. [We’re] not sure what took place, but one was shot and killed and now this gang went into full attack mode.”

Shockwaves as Antisemitism Committee Includes Palestinian Terrorist Supporter

While tensions in the Middle East rage, concerns are still mounting over antisemitism at U.S. universities. On Capitol Hill Thursday, collegiate leaders faced questions from House lawmakers on the issue, addressing the challenge between balancing free speech and keeping students safe.

The hearing, which was dubbed “Calling for Accountability: Stopping Antisemitic College Chaos”, included several university presidents who dealt with violent protests, including UCLA Chancellor Gene Block.

“I’m fully aware that many of our Jewish students have had to confront rhetoric and images on campus that any reasonable person would find repugnant. Trust me, I understand their pain. I’ve lived it myself as a Jewish kid growing up in the Catskill region of New York with relatives who were Holocaust survivors,” Block said.

On Apr. 25, anti-Israel protests sprang up on the UCLA campus resulting in an encampment that grew to more than 500 people. Block admits it took too long to address the violence.

“But when more than 200 protesters refused police orders, law enforcement removed the encampment that night. With the benefit of hindsight, we should have been prepared to immediately remove the encampment if and when the safety of our community was put at risk. We have since taken decisive action. I created a new office of campus safety that reports directly to me,” he said.

Northwestern University President Michael Schill answered questions about antisemitism among his faculty.

“You and your administration have cited the creation of this committee as proof you are working to counter antisemitism,” Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI) said to Schill. “The three faculty members you appointed to it had objected to the committee’s very creation in a letter that downplayed antisemitism and defended the phrase ‘From the river to the sea (Palestine will be free).’ At least two of them have supported (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) efforts against Israel.”

“Why did you believe it was appropriate to appoint faculty members who have defended and made excuses for anti-Semitism and oppressed and opposed the committee’s purported mission of combating antisemitism?” Walberg asked.

Schill replied, “I will be appointing to the task force that we are going to create, faculty, staff and administrators who I believe are committed to fighting antisemitism and as committed to fighting antisemitism as I am.”

Global Calls for Palestinian State Challenge Israel

JERUSALEM, Israel – From the International Criminal Court at The Hague to the frontlines at Rafah, Israel is fighting battles on multiple fronts as nations take sides on the ICC’s decision to push for the arrest of Israeli leaders and three countries decide to recognize a Palestinian state.

Norway, Ireland and Spain all announced Wednesday that they would give recognition to a Palestinian state, even as Israel is fighting to destroy the fighting capability of Hamas in Gaza.

Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris stated, “Each of us will now undertake whatever national steps are necessary to give effect to that decision. In the lead-up to today’s announcement, I’ve spoken with a number of other leaders and counterparts, and I’m confident that further countries will join us in taking this important step in the coming weeks.”

The announcement comes after this week’s decision by the ICC to consider arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Norway’s government declared Tuesday that if warrants are issued, they would enforce them.

On Capitol Hill, U.S. senators say they’ll take action against the ICC, while Netanyahu warned other democracies will be affected. He told ABC News the ICC prosecutor is pouring gasoline on the global fires of antisemitism.

“Because he is attacking the one and only Jewish state and trying to handcuff us, preventing us from, exercising responsibly through the laws of war as we obey them, and we are subordinate to them. He’s saying we’re not. He’s creating false symmetry, false facts and he’s doing a grave injustice to the international court,” Netanyahu said.

Concerning battlefield issues, the White House expressed satisfaction with Israel’s scaled-down military plan for the invasion of Rafah.

Reportedly, the Israel Defense Forces already control about 30 percent of Hamas’ last major stronghold and more than half of the strategic Philadelphi Corridor. This area contains smuggling tunnels used by Hamas to resupply its ammunition and weapons.

Salvations in South Dakota Penitentiary as Dozens Baptized

God Behind Bars, a national prison ministry, has seen a group of 25 men from a maximum security prison in South Dakota give their lives to Jesus Christ last week.

Since 2009, God Behind Bars has worked to restore the lives of inmates, by building their faith, during incarceration and after their release. Through their outreach programs, they are working to reach more than 2.3 million people in the prison system.

Most recently they shared that in a South Dakota maximum security prison, 20 men were signed up for a water baptism, but five more decided to get spontaneously baptized after hearing the Gospel preached.

“One man who got baptized was leading a Wiccan group, came to Jesus and was baptized! Another man (who came) to this service for the first time invited Jesus into his life and was baptized! Another man has been in prison for 40 years and is serving a life sentence. He wasn’t signed up to be baptized but made the spontaneous decision to be baptized,” the ministry explained.

“Revival in South Dakota prisons,” the post added.

As CBN News has reported, God Behind Bars CEO Jake Bodine started the organization with the mission to “reach the least of these,” and it has blossomed into a revival-type movement at correctional facilities across the country.

“We create satellite campuses in prisons and our whole mission is to introduce inmates to Jesus,” Isaac Holt, Director of Innovation for God Behind Bars, told CBN News.

“There are 3.1 million inmates every day across the nation and that’s a huge group of people. We believe we can reach almost all of them,” he shared.

In 2021, the ministry created the first Christian app that streams sermons, worship music and God’s Word for prisoners.

“The Pando app streams…right now to 550,000 inmates,” Holt explained in 2022.

‘From Thug Life to Christ’: Ex-Prisoner Reaching the Masses for Jesus

A former prison inmate who chased fame, money, drugs and women says he was radically changed during an encounter with the Holy Spirit in his jail cell that changed his “fate from thug life to Christ.”

John Robert Hill Jr. is better known by his one million online followers as Holy Gabbana.

The 27-year-old recently appeared on the God Behind Bars podcast to share how God radically changed his life while he served time in prison for hit-and-run charges, gun charges, and narcotics possession.

Gabbana told the ministry he turned his reckless behavior of vandalism, theft and robbery as a teen into a budding social media gig that boasted five million followers at the time.

“All you got to do to make this much money is to be a fool and act could do that,” he recalled. “I started being a nut.”

Gabbana’s content of vandalism, robbing stores and jumping on people’s cars began to go viral, granting him fame and recognition among celebrities, but it also led him to a dark place.

“I didn’t blow up with a team. I didn’t blow up with a manager. I blew up from the streets,” he said.

Gabbana said at the time he encountered fame, he battled with brokenness from the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother and losing his stepfather to bladder cancer.

He learned to numb the pain by popping pills and soon became heavily addicted.

Gabbana’s reckless lifestyle eventually led him to prison in 2018.

His cellmate, Joshua, he asked Gabbana a simple question when they first met.

“He was like, ‘Do you believe in Jesus?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ For that man to ask me, ‘do I believe in Jesus?’ That lets me know that God was always thinking about me. Anybody else could have been my cellmate,” he shared. “In that moment, God reached me through my cellmate.”

He continued, “When I went to jail, Jesus wasn’t on my mind, because to be honest. I wasn’t thinking about Jesus when I went to jail. You may not be thinking about Jesus, but He is thinking about you. But God was literally setting me up so I could have an encounter with Him.”

ICC Prosecutor Seeks Arrest Warrant for Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Netanyahu

JERUSALEM (AP) – The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said Monday he is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in connection with their actions during the seven-month war between Israel and Hamas.

Karim Khan said that he believes Netanyahu, his defense minister Yoav Gallant and three Hamas leaders – Yehia Sinwar, Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh – are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip and Israel.

The prosecutor must request the warrants from a pre-trial panel of three judges, who take on average two months to consider the evidence and determine if the proceedings can move forward.

Israel is not a member of the court, and even if the arrest warrants are issued, Netanyahu and Gallant do not face any immediate risk of prosecution. But Khan’s announcement deepens Israel’s isolation as it presses ahead with its war, and the threat of arrest could make it difficult for the Israeli leaders to travel abroad.

Both Sinwar and Deif are believed to be hiding in Gaza as Israel tries to hunt them down. But Haniyeh, the supreme leader of the Islamic militant group, is based in Qatar and frequently travels across the region.

Benny Gantz, a former military chief and member of Israel’s War Cabinet with Netanyahu and Gallant, harshly criticized Khan’s announcement, saying Israel fights with :one of the strictest” moral codes and has a robust judiciary capable of investigating itself.

“The State of Israel is waging one of the just wars fought in modern history following a reprehensible massacre perpetrated by terrorist Hamas on the 7th of October,” he said. “The prosecutor’s position to apply for arrest warrants is in itself a crime of historic proportion to be remembered for generations.”

Promise Keepers Engaging Today’s Youth for Jesus

Many Americans want to learn how to prevent college students from joining in the ongoing anti-Israel protests. The new leader of Promise Keepers believes they can again reach young men in great numbers by returning the ministry to its roots.

Recently, the country has seen thousands of college students march in pro-Palestinian protests, many of which have turned into vehicles for hate and anti-Semitism.

“What we’re seeing is a generation of people who are being shaped and molded by the world because of the things they see on social media,” explained Promise Keepers CEO Shane Winnings.

“And so you see these worldly examples of people who are rising up and they demonstrate worldly masculinity, which is perverted in many senses, which is more about dominion and it’s less about, you know, Godly characteristics,” he said.

Evangelist Winnings, a former law enforcement officer, now leads the ministry that was founded by former University of Colorado Coach Bill McCartney. Now in its 34th year, Promise Keepers seeks to transform men through faith in Jesus Christ.

So, how can young men become courageous, men of integrity, especially if they haven’t been taught respect and integrity at home?

Winnings said it takes engagement. “We need to be the voice of that movement, of the movement of integrity and purity and godly truths, and also be the example.”

He believes today’s young men need role models, something he found in Jesus and by serving in Afghanistan with U.S. Army Special Forces.

“When you’re around people who are great, it makes you want to be great. And you know, at that level, mistakes can cost human lives,” Winnings explained. “The sobering reality that life is short. It’s a wisp of vapor, the Bible says tomorrow is not promised. And so what really fuels my charge as I lead this organization is that we can’t count on tomorrow. We need to impact the men of our nation and our world today.”

‘Summer of Baptisms’ Sees Thousands Gather for Worship

Florida’s beaches, the California coastline, the Texas Gulf and rivers in the Midwest have become the epicenters for a massive baptism movement that kicked off across the country this weekend.

On Saturday, thousands joined revivalist and Core Group leader Jenny Weaver on the shores of Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida, to praise and worship Jesus Christ during the “Summer of Baptisms” event.

As CBN News reported, Weaver had asked members of her Core Group ministry to simultaneously host baptisms in Louisiana, Tennessee, California, Texas and Missouri.

“The Lord spoke to me and He literally said, ‘Summer of Baptism’,” she shared in a Facebook video. “I saw us going to different places and doing baptisms.”

More than 2,000 people signed up for the event across the country, and many hundreds were baptized.

Weaver said what took place was, “Absolutely a move of God!”

Hundreds were baptized at Pirates Cove Beach in California.

In Ozark, Missouri, 130 people publicly gave their lives to Jesus Christ.

And in Tennessee, 45 people were baptized.

Attendees have shared footage from the events and have remarked that what took place changed their lives.

One person, who attended the baptismal event at Siesta Keys, shared that one beach bystander decided to give up alcohol and give his life to Jesus on the spot.

Weaver previously told CBN News that having the baptisms on the beach on a holiday weekend was a strategic assignment from God.

“When you use those holidays to travel, you get those people who are at the lakes and beaches for the holiday. So the whole purpose is to (reach) the lost,” she shared.
