“The only thing I remember when I woke up was that I was already screaming…I was in a full scream, and I thought I was on fire.” By all reports, Kelly Kopp and his band mates should have been killed when their van crashed into a guardrail in 2007.  

At 23 years old, Kelly had strayed far from God, and attributed his and his band’s close call to luck.

“I was taking the credit now,” Kelly stated. “Now I had this awesome story to tell. More people are going to pay attention to me, more people are going to be interested in what I have to say…because now I have this story.”

Kelly grew up in a Christian home, was homeschooled and went to church every Sunday with his family. Overall, it was a happy childhood. “I don’t remember a time where I didn’t know Jesus.” He said. “I was in love with God from right out the gate.” 

Then at eight years old, he found out that the woman he called ‘mom’ was not his biological mother.

“I felt rejected from my mom. My stepmom never treated me any differently, but in my mind, I was different,” he states. “I was an outsider, an outcast and I internalized that and thought that they didn’t love me as much…my mom didn’t love me…I wasn’t her son. So now I’m in the middle. All I wanted was for somebody to love me. I want somebody to like me.”

Despite feeling rejected, he started spending time with his biological mom, who wasn’t a Christian. It opened a different lifestyle to him. At 14, he asked his parents to be enrolled in a public school because he wanted to be a part of what the other kids were doing.

“I would see all my friends and they were partying or doing different things that I wasn’t allowed to do,” he says.  “It looked like they were having a blast and that they were having more fun than me.” So, Kelly decided to join in on the fun by smoking weed and drinking. He also got into rock music and playing guitar. Still, he couldn’t shake God’s call on his life.

“Every single night when I would lay down in bed, I would hear His voice saying, ‘Kelly, I have a plan for you. I have a call for you,’ since I was 14-15 years old,” Kopp says. “Every night that I was away from Him, I would hear Him say that before I went to sleep, ‘I have a plan for you. I have a call for you.’ So I never really ran from Him…I just ignored Him.” 

Throughout high school, he lived a double life. On one hand, he was constantly fighting with his parents and at times, getting into trouble. On the other, he was the good Christian kid who went to church. In fact, when Kelly was a senior in high school, his pastor tried to convince him to go into ministry, but Kelly had other plans, to start a band and hit the road.

“The next day after I graduated, I left. I was gone, and that was it.

“All I wanted was to be a rock star! I wanted to be famous and wanted people to love me…because I felt empty on the inside. I thought that if everyone in the world loved me, then that would fill that hole.”

Evangelist Franklin Graham preached the powerful message of the gospel to more than 400,000 people over the weekend in a massive public square that was once infamous for its Communist rallies.

Hundreds of thousands of people worshipped Jesus at Meskel Square for the “Encountering God Ethiopia” outreach.

It was a major turnout of 437,000 people hungry to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ for the two day-event.

“This is my 11th trip to Ethiopia, but the first time I have ever held a crusade here. What a joy it was to see 117,000 people come to Meskel Square (the name means Cross Square) to hear the Gospel message,” Graham shared on Facebook after the first night’s event.

“We praise God for the many who came forward at the invitation to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior,” he added.

More than 1,600 evangelical churches in the country worked with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to plan the outreach. The event featured live music from more than a dozen local musical groups and Christian artists from the U.S., and on both nights Graham closed out the evening with a message.

According to BGEA, the historic outreach took place more than 60 years after Rev. Billy Graham shared the gospel in the capital of Addis Ababa.

“I am so grateful for each and every one who has come. My father Billy Graham was here 65 years ago to this very day,” Graham told the crowd on Saturday. “He loved the people of Ethiopia.”

He continued, “If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I’m going to give you an opportunity tonight. God loves you, but our sins separate us from God. All of us have sinned. Every one of us is guilty, we have fallen short of God’s standards. But God so loved Ethiopia, He sent His Son from heaven to save Ethiopia. And tonight He will save you if you repent and believe on the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ.”

Some remarkable celestial signs will be on display in the coming months that may hold prophetic significance for our world. This series of four heavenly phenomena includes three lunar events, two of which could represent a possible direct message about Israel.

It all kicks off with a total lunar eclipse known as a “blood moon” that will appear over the U.S. on Mar. 14, 2025. This particular one will fall directly on the Jewish holiday of Purim. That’s when the Jewish people celebrate the biblical account of Esther when they were delivered from annihilation at the hands of an enemy named Haman in the Persian empire, which is modern-day Iran.

That first lunar eclipse will be followed by two more blood moons, with one coming this fall before Rosh Hashanah, and then the third one also falling directly on Purim on Mar. 3, 2026.

Bible prophecy experts say lunar eclipses, known as “blood moons,” are tied to events that affect Israel. And with antisemitism spiking around the globe, the ongoing war with Hamas in Gaza, and the massive Middle East shifts that have followed the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel, the two Purim blood moons could hold special significance.

Israel is also facing a new era of uncertainty now that its neighbor Syria has fallen into the hands of rebels with ties to Al Qaeda, as well as Turkey. And some are concerned that Iran could find a way to lash out after seeing its proxy terrorist armies of Hamas and Hezbollah being destroyed by Israel. It’s why Israel may feel compelled to act swiftly as rumors abound that Iran is close to completing a nuclear weapon that could be deployed against the Jewish state.

What Is the Significance of a Blood Moon?

A blood moon is a full lunar eclipse in which the moon can appear to be an eerie, blood-red color. Blood moons occur when Earth passes directly between the moon and the sun, preventing the sun from reflecting off the moon and casting a reddish shadow over it.

In the next such event, the moon will turn red for more than an hour over North and South America on Mar. 14.

The Trump administration has announced the cancellation of $400 million in federal funding for Columbia University, citing the school’s insufficient efforts to address antisemitism on campus. Multiple federal agencies made the announcement on Friday, stating that grants and contracts would be revoked due to the university’s handling of the issue.

Five days ago, federal agencies revealed they were considering halting $51 million in contracts with the New York City institution and reassessing its eligibility for more than $5 billion in future federal funding.

The decision follows Columbia’s recent steps to establish a new disciplinary committee and increase investigations into students who have been critical of Israel. Despite these actions, U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon stated that the university has “abandoned” its responsibility to protect Jewish students.

“Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding. For too long, Columbia has abandoned that obligation to Jewish students studying on its campus,” McMahon said in a statement on Friday.

Columbia is pledging to cooperate with the government in an effort to restore the lost funding.

“We take Columbia’s legal obligations seriously and understand how serious this announcement is and are committed to combatting antisemitism and ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff,” the university said in a statement.

It’s unclear which specific research projects or programs at Columbia will be impacted by the funding cuts. The university said it is reviewing the decision. The Education Department, along with the Health and Justice Departments and the General Services Administration, issued the announcement, but further details were not available at the time of publication.

Columbia is the first university targeted in President Trump’s broader initiative to crack down on colleges accused of allowing antisemitism to take root in the wake of the gruesome Hamas massacre and kidnappings of Israelis on October 7, 2023.

Thousands of college students are giving Jesus their “Yes” once again after making decisions to accept Christ as their Savior, a college campus ministry reports.  

The third UniteUS event of 2025 took place at Purdue University Wednesday night, Mar. 5, and more than 4,500 students gathered to hear the gospel and be transformed.

The founder and visionary behind UniteUS, Tonya Prewett, summed up what took place saying, “God was exalted at Purdue University!!”

By the end of the night, nearly half of those who attended confessed Jesus as the Savior and some took part in water baptisms afterward.

“From the moment we stepped on campus we knew God was going to move in a special way tonight,” the group wrote on Instagram.

“4,500 students gathered in Elliott Hall of Music and we were blown away seeing how the students leaned in during worship. We still can’t get over seeing nearly half the students in attendance flood the altar to give Jesus their ‘yes,'” the post continued.

“Thousands came forward to receive Christ,” she said in a social media post Thursday morning. “They want God everywhere we go.”

Purdue sophomore, Anna Suppes, is a part of the planning team and told Fox59 that the movement on campus began with prayer. 

“It started with five people praying and it grew to 200,” she shared. 

Tre Henson told the outlet he hopes this movement sparks a lasting change on Purdue’s campus. 

“Purdue is a very academic campus and it is very easy for people to feel lonely or anxious. So we are trying to plug people into the community and let them know that they are seen and loved. And also spread the gospel and the truth,” he explained.

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson is unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since giving his life completely over to Christ at the age of 28, the now 78-year-old has rarely missed an opportunity to share the Good News with those around him. 

That remained true, even as the “Duck Commander” and his family, gained famed and notoriety through their successful A&E show. 

Recently, his son, Jase Robertson recalled the time Phil shared the gospel with Donald Trump in 2016 and even predicted the assassination attempt that would take place eight years later.

“He’s like, ‘Hey you are not getting any ‘s people after you. He was like, ‘Somebody will try to kill you,'” he recounted, adding, “it is actually really profound when I think about that.”

Jase and his brother, Al Robertson, shared that story on Allie Beth Stuckey’s podcast, “Unrelatable,” when they came on to give an update on the health of their dad after his recent diagnosis. 

An Update on Phil Robertson’s Health

As CBN News reported, Robertson is currently battling a form of Alzheimer’s disease, for which his team of doctors says there is no cure.

Jase announced the diagnosis recently on the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast.

“Phil’s not doing well. I think I spoke on the 1,000th podcast, we were trying to figure out the diagnosis, but according to the doctors, he has some sort of blood disease causing all kinds of problems,” he said at that time.

“It’s like accelerated, and it’s causing problems with his entire body. And he has the early stages of Alzheimer’s. So, if you put those things together, he’s really not doing well. He’s struggling,” Jase said.

“Basically, the diagnosis that was given to us is he has some kind of blood disorder and they likened it to blood cancer where it kind of attacks his bones,” Jase described.  

He continued, “So he’s had multiple back fractures and even one on in his tailbone and so he’ll have to go do these procedures because they’re not really correctable. They just do a procedure that makes it stop hurting, which is from my ‘re basically just putting cement in his back but your back is not designed to have ‘s supposed to be flexible.”

In Kenya, hundreds of thousands are crammed into Africa’s largest slum. Known as Kibera, it’s a world where hope is often in short supply. In this darkness, however, a miracle is unfolding as a Texas-based ministry goes door-to-door, bringing God’s love and life-changing water filters.

Infamous for its gritty reputation, where crime and violence lurk at nearly every corner, Kibera faces extreme poverty and gang violence, while lacking basic necessities like clean water and sanitation, earning its reputation as one of the “darkest, filthiest, and most hopeless places in the world.”

Kibera is Africa’s largest slum, and a typical house here measures only eight by eight feet, and it’s built with mud walls, a corrugated tin roof, and either a dirt or concrete floor. There’s not a bathroom in the home. There’s no kitchen area in the home. It’s basically for sitting and sleeping only.

Chris Beth, founder of The Bucket Ministry, first stepped into Kibera in 2017. What he saw shook him to his core.

“There wasn’t one home that had access to clean, safe drinking water,” he told CBN News on a recent trip to Kibera.

Water here isn’t a blessing — it’s a curse.

It’s a common scene here for folks to line up with jerry cans just to get water. The original source of this water is typically clean and safe to drink. But it must then travel through an intricate spiderweb-like system of pipes. The problem is that many of those pipes are broken, and contaminated water ends up getting into those pipes.

The Bucket Ministry has shown through their research that once the water gets to a certain point, the water is still very contaminated.

“So what you see is these snaked water lines all over this place that are on the surface, and most of them are illegally connected, they’re scabbed on to each other, and all of them leak,” Beth described while standing near one of those pipes carrying water. “Those leaks will actually start to suck sewage water into the pipes and contaminate the entire system with E coli, maybe dysentery, typhoid, cholera.”

Endless piles of trash are scattered throughout Kibera. The absence of proper sewage leaves human waste on the streets, which then ends up in the water.

The official statistics say there are 78 latrines in all Kibera serving over 400,000 people.

Beth recognized the urgent need for clean water and sent a team of 60 to canvass the slum.

“And all they did for four months was knock on every single one of the doors in this place and we found out that there were 81,077 homes,” said Beth. “We found out that there’s about 408,000 people created in God’s image that are sequestered to live in this place.”

In 2000, The Bucket Ministry began a groundbreaking effort—distributing life-saving water filters to each home here.

“When The Bucket Ministry came in, and they recruited the missionaries, going and supplying the filters and the buckets, people started accepting the gospel,” said Dihanda, who pastors Grace Revival Church in Kibera. “And we can see now the great harvest is coming in the Kingdom of God.”

More than 22,000 people gave their lives to Christ and the miracles keep going.

Ministering Through Horses

Joe Most and his wife, Penny, found love more than 20 years ago through their shared passion for horses. Together, they run Perfect Partners Equine, living out their mission in Ridgeway, Virginia—and, as they like to say, waiting on the Lord’s return in their spurs and boots.

Joe explains one reason he loves working with horses. “Oh, it’s because God’s coming back on a horse, and I want to be able to ride with Him,” he says.

In the meantime, the couple trains horses while offering clinics and excursions, blending equine-assisted therapy with their faith.

“They experience the horse, and hopefully, they see God through us. We want God to shine His light, His face on us for the world to see. And hopefully, they see the love of God through the horse,” Joe says.

And the Mosts aren’t alone. Across the U.S. and beyond, ranches like these prove that healing can come on four legs. The global market for equine therapy is expected to increase by 15% this year alone.

Hopewell Ranch: Healing Hearts

A few states over in Weidman, Michigan, Jody Stuber and her husband, Ty, are also changing lives with horses at Hopewell Ranch.

Jody says, “God has used these horses to heal hearts in ways we could never have imagined.”

“When someone comes here so wounded by life’s circumstances, we have the privilege to be open, welcoming, and loving—the way Jesus would be. And sometimes, it’s not us but the horses that God uses,” she explains.

After the devastating loss of her baby, Hope, Jody says the Holy Spirit comforted her with the words, “Hope will rise again,” sparking a vision to create a sanctuary for healing with horses.

As the country and world wait for President Trump’s primetime address, he stated on Truth Social, “I will tell it like it is.”

The president will face Congress on the heels of Friday’s heated Oval Office encounter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The tense exchange disrupted a planned rare minerals deal between the two countries that Trump predicted would have led to ending the war between Ukraine and Russia. While the president is expected to talk about the war, Republican and Democrat members are still reacting to the meltdown.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) invited the president to address Congress. In his letter, Johnson wrote, “Your administration and the 119th Congress working together have the chance to make these next four years some of the most consequential in our nation’s history.”

Dolly Parton’s husband of 60 years, who avoided the spotlight in her lifelong career and served as the inspiration behind her timeless song “Jolene,” has died.

Carl Dean passed away Monday in Nashville, Tennessee, Parton’s publicist confirmed.

Parton also posted a short statement on Instagram on Monday.

“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together,” she said in the statement. “Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”

Dean will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending, she added. The family has requested privacy at this time.

Their love story began 62 years ago when they met outside a Wishy Washy Laundromat.

Parton was 18 years old and had just moved to Nashville.

“I was surprised and delighted that while he talked to me, he looked at my face (a rare thing for me),” Parton described the meeting. “He seemed to be genuinely interested in finding out who I was and what I was about.”

Two years later and against the advice of her record label, Parton and Dean snuck across state lines to Georgia and got married in a small ceremony in Ringgold on Memorial Day. They hoped to keep the news out of the Tennessee newspapers.

Parton told CBN News in a 2016 interview that her husband was a “God-send.”

“I think my husband and my relationship was just really a God-send,” Parton said. “God knew I was going to need somebody like him if I was going to be doing all this crazy stuff.”

“But He knew he (Carl) was going to need somebody like me because Carl is pretty much a loner and he really doesn’t want to be with anybody but me,” she added.
