The Savior and King of the Universe longs to know you intimately and through that relationship with Him, He will use you to impact the world for His glory. What a heartbreaking truth that many will operate in the giftings but won’t know Jesus. We see this reality in Scripture, where in Matthew 7:21-23 it says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'”

It is quite clear that you can do miracles without Jesus. Friends, I challenge you today, is your relationship with God a priority over the five-fold office He has put you in? Is intimacy more important to you than operating in signs and wonders? If there is a hesitation inside of you as you read those words, then that may be a sign that you are off course. If you find that you have been making these things more important than the main thing Himself, repent to the Lord and He is merciful to bring you back to oneness with Him.

In the book of Mark, we read about Jesus going up on the mountain and He called out to the ones He wanted to go with Him and they came to Him. THEN, He appointed twelve of them and called them His apostles. They journeyed with Him to preach the gospel and Jesus gave them the authority to cast out demons. Jesus was capable of casting out demons and spreading the word on His own but He desired for them to be with Him.

To know Jesus is to have relationship with Him. He is wooing our hearts to draw us into a deep love relationship with Him, to truly know Him. I can tell you today that just learning about God through someone else’s sermon and stories is not truly knowing Him. He desires to reveal Himself to you personally, to show you who He is. In those verses, the apostles went to the Lord to just be with Him.

Can you imagine the stories that aren’t even in the Bible: the campfires together with Jesus, the boat rides, ministry, the miracles? Think of all the conversations they had! They knew Him in a way that you and I actually have the ability to know the Lord with now. Don’t miss the point of this whole thing. God cares way more about you and the intimate time you spend with Him, getting to know the inner workings of His heart, than He cares about what you can do for Him.

Now more than ever the world is engrossed with distractions at every turn you take. You pick up your phone and the next thing you know you’ve gone down the social media rabbit hole. What you planned on spending five minutes researching on Google has rapidly exhausted your goals for the morning.

With that in mind, we must protect and guard what the Lord has put in front of us and asked us to do. As followers of Jesus, we must discipline our lives so that they aren’t overrun by useless diversions. The first time I asked the Lord, in prayer, what He wanted me to get done that day, He gave me 23 things to accomplish on my to-do list.

There were some unusual tasks that wouldn’t have been added onto what my plans would have been for the day but they were important to those around me. Can I tell you God cares about you and your daily life, but we often don’t realize this because we don’t take the time to sit and listen to what He is saying. All 23 things on my to-do list were completed and God opened so many doors for me that day. Throughout Scripture, you can read over and over to be still before the Lord. Zechariah 2:13 (NLT) says, “Be still before the Lord, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling.” Then again in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”

When your mind is engrossed with the 500 things you saw on social media, the news alerts and what everyone around you is saying, it becomes increasingly more difficult to be still before God. Can I advise you today to be cautious at what you are allowing before your eyes and ears? Sit before the Lord today and enjoy Him and His presence. He is so wonderful and beautiful; words can’t even describe the mysteries that are contained in Him. You can decide to watch Netflix, binge social media or you can get alone with the Lord and God can show you great and unsearchable things that you do not know! I’m not sure about you but I choose great and unsearchable things!

Every day, I ask Jesus what is on His heart because I want Him to lead the dance. He cares immensely about your trials, struggles, thoughts and desires. He will lead and guide you wherever you go. You can’t get away from His Spirit. Instead of worrying about the struggles and triumphs of life, go on a walk with Jesus, sit with Him on a bench and put your head on His chest and enjoy the beauty of His presence. The Lord will guide and direct your steps. Ask Him to help you sort out your priorities and your to-do list and He will. As a follower of Christ, your life is so precious and beautiful in the sight of the Lord. His thoughts for you outnumber the grains of sand throughout the earth. Scripture says in Psalm 84 that God is our sun and shield; He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right! It may feel as if darkness has enclosed around you and you may not know what to do in these seemingly perilous times but I want to encourage you with the Word of God today. The Bible says that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the things that Jesus did, and even more so, according to John 14. I have seen the hand of God move time and time again through weather miracles, healings, financial breakthrough, deliverance, encounter and so much more. The Lord gave me revelation in Scripture that has changed my life forever, and I pray that as you read this and listen to the podcast episode linked below that your life too will be changed by the power of the Word of God.

In Psalm 139:5-7 (NLT), it says, “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!” David, the one who was taken from the sheepfold, defeated Goliath, anointed king, hid in caves and cut the robe of Saul and spared his life said in this passage that this was too great for even him to understand. A man who had encountered the Lord in such miraculous ways knew that there was something remarkably special in what the Lord is saying here. Often in life, Satan tries to remind us of our past, present situations or the uncertainty of the future but, friends, can I tell you that God is already there? In these verses, it is quite clear the Lord has gone before you, behind you and His hand of blessing is upon you! He is in your past, present and future: you cannot lose!

I think many of us can take a step back and realize that we can often be quick to react in situations. Granted, with everything going on in the world today, there is a lot to be offended about. Looking at what your family member, coworker, neighbor or fellow church member posted on social media can often bring up baffling feelings. “How could so-and-so actually believe that this is okay?” “I can’t believe that person would support that political belief; do they even read the Bible?”

Today I hope what the Lord has spoken to me will encourage you in your walk and help you to love those around you. I’ve realized over the years that the discerning of spirits can be neglected in the life of a believer and we don’t realize that the spirit of this world is prowling around. And we miss our ability to understand what is going on by judging so quickly.

Friends, we are made in the image of God and Satan hates God. As you know, the enemy cannot touch the Lord but because we are made in the image of God, Satan does everything he can to hurt us. It is so important to have the discerning of spirits to see how the enemy tries to steal, kill and destroy not only in your life and the lives of others but in the world.

A few years back, I was working at a ministry when I got a call that a man came in off the streets and needed deliverance. A team of people were commanding the demons to leave him with no avail. They called me and asked me if I would come to the conference room to minister to the man who was desperate for freedom.

I asked the Lord what was going on with him, and God revealed to me that he had been sexually assaulted and had an incorrect mindset on what deliverance was supposed to look or feel like. After addressing both situations, through the power of discerning of spirits, the sword of the spirit and a word of knowledge, the man was completely set free. He had been to numerous prominent deliverance ministries and left hopeless!

This was not a matter of who could shout at the demons the loudest but a matter of discerning what was going on with him. Satan is having a heyday in the world right now, using crafty schemes of division to tear apart the body of Christ. God has given us every tool we need to be victorious in Christ.

Growing up in California, Nebraska and Florida, I loved to play basketball. There was something I loved about the anticipation before a game, the crowd cheering in the stands, the buzzer going off and my teammates shouting and calling my name in the final moments of the game. I can still remember it now.

There were 10 seconds left on the clock, and I had the ball. Sweat dropped down my face into my eyes, and everyone around me shouted: “You’ve got this Caleb! You can do this! This is moment you’ve been practicing for!” I toned out the crowd around me and took a breath to find the peace and strength that comes from God alone. It was from that place I dribbled left and pulled up for a 3-pointer right through the net. The buzzer went off shortly afterward, and my team had won the game.

As I reflect on this part of my youth, I realize there is a very similar parallel to what is going on in the world. Right now we are living in an hour where pressure is mounting and building, and there is a heaviness in the atmosphere. We are all on the precipice of a breaking point or a breakthrough. With the delta variant spreading around, and the hopelessness running rampant through the news and social media, many are left in despair. We have the Word of God to stand on and go to in our time of trouble. Psalm 50:15 says, “Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”

I’m not sure what troubles you are facing right now. It could be health problems, job loss, family problems or addiction, but the Lord will rescue you as you call upon His name. Jesus is returning, and we must keep watch and get oil in our lamps. There is a company of true believers rising who are not falling to the pressures of the world but are grasping hold of the Word of God and standing like David against Goliath. First Samuel 17:26 says, “Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, ‘What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes the disgrace [of his taunting] from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God?'”

Friends, let us capture that mindset in our hearts, and then we will see nothing can come against us. How dare the pressures of the age and Goliaths of our day come against the armies of the living God. We are a people filled with the Holy Spirit; the same Holy Spirit who broke the curse of sin and the power of the grave, dwells inside of you. The final buzzer will go off; we are in the final moments ticking on the scoreboard. Just like I spent time everyday practicing basketball to grow in the game, we must do this in our secret place. I often hear people crying out for more of God, to see His face, to hear His thoughts and know His ways. Can I tell you a secret?

The Lord is searching throughout the earth looking for the ones He can trust. He’s looking for the people with whom He can entrust the deep matters of His heart. He’s looking for the ones who won’t hurt Him, who won’t turn their backs when it’s hard and, most importantly, obey His word.

If you are searching for more, praying the Lord would entrust more of His glory to you, then show God you can be trusted. How do you steward your family, finances, job and relationships? As I’ve grown in my faith over decades, I have found that God promotes those who can be trusted. Even when it’s hard or painful, will you trust Him? As co-heirs with Christ, we must rise above fear and the ways of the world and put our faith in the Creator of the universe. His ways are much higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Take a step back and look at your life, look at what the Lord has currently entrusted you with. You should feel confident that you have taken seriously what God has placed before you.

Friends, this is not always an easy task. Being a friend of God requires great sacrifice; it requires a crucified life. Money, pride, self-gain and idols all must be burned up in the fire. Surrender your own will for His. Allow the Lord to burn out everything in you that does not look like Jesus. The Bible says that we will be crucified with Christ; we must pick up our cross and follow Him.

While dying to yourself isn’t easy and can be painful, I can tell you He’s so worth it. Jesus is so beautiful. He hung upon a tree, cursed, beaten, whipped, scorned and stripped naked. The least we can do is offer ourselves as living sacrifices, living lives that are holy and pleasing to the Lord. When God starts to entrust you with more of Himself, you will soon grasp that there isn’t one thing the world can offer that compares to the risen King. The Bible teaches us that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What is coming out of your mouth? What were your last 10 posts on social media? Has Jesus truly captured your heart?

For me, there is no other option than to live for Christ and Christ alone. It doesn’t take long to see the crippling chaos and fear spreading throughout the globe. Look on social media or any news channel, and you can plainly see the schemes of the enemy spreading like a California wildfire.

Today, I want you to be encouraged, knowing that we are not of this world but of a heavenly kingdom—a kingdom that can’t be destroyed or shaken! As ambassadors for Christ, His royal priesthood, God’s special possession, how are we representing Him to the world? Are you rising above the division, chaos and fear?

I implore you today to do everything you do and say in the name of our Lord Jesus. It may not be convenient to walk like Christ in your workplace. Your boss may be angry, rude, steal your ideas or look down upon you, but my friend, none of these are things Jesus hasn’t already faced.

Let us look to the Bible to see how He dealt with unbelievers. It is truly so beautiful to me that while we were still His enemies, Christ died for us. God chose for you to be alive in this time. He has a plan and purpose for you in this window of history that is like no other. Jesus has already defeated Satan! The enemy is under your feet. There are innumerable things that God could do with a life laid down before Him.

Have you gone before the Lord and told Him that not your will be done for your life but His? If we truly allow ourselves to be crucified with Christ, we will see that no wicked scheme of the enemy can tear us down. I don’t know about you, but I will stand in the gap for what the Lord has called me to do. Amid the chaos, I will go into the nations and preach the Good News to the lost. I will fast and pray before the Lord and go after one million souls this year. Will you join me?

We were in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, when the Lord came and radically touched a group of teenagers.

People throughout the local area arrived at the services in need of hope, restoration, healing, a fresh touch from God and salvation. While ministering during the service, I had a word of knowledge that there were multiple people present with hip pain.

I asked these people to stand up, and 14 people rose to their feet, waiting to be touched by the living God. Instead of praying for them myself, however, I called forward all teenagers who wanted to be activated in the gift of healing.

First Peter 2:24 says, “He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. ‘By His wounds you were healed.'” What a sigh of relief to know that there is nothing we do to make someone get healed. Jesus bore our sickness, disease and wounds on the cross. It is up to Him to heal and touch people.

I called those teenagers forward, and 12 came up front, ready to be used by the Lord. Their fathers, mothers, grandparents and friends were standing in the crowd ready to receive healing in their bodies. What a beautiful sight to see teenagers, hungry for Jesus, walking up in faith and boldness to be used by God.

The younger generations are hungry for a move of God throughout the earth, and as men and women of faith, we must encourage the youth to step into their identities as sons and daughters of the King! Friends, the harvest is ripe. People are truly longing for hope and to meet the person of Jesus.

You are a temple of the living God, and every person you meet can be encountered by the Lord because He dwells inside of you. When we relinquish our own agenda, control and ideas on how we will move and surrender it all to Him, He will never disappoint.

Loving your neighbor isn’t an option. It is a command. When one of the Pharisees asked Jesus what the greatest commandment in the law was, Jesus said to love the Lord your God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Friends, this is what our Lord Jesus left us with.

Just take two minutes scrolling on Facebook or looking at the news, and it won’t take you long to recognize all of the hate in the world. I have seen just as many Christians arguing on social media as I have nonbelievers.

If you ask me, it’s because we don’t realize the love that has been extended to us. When we were His enemies, Christ died for us. Do you engage with the Facebook or dinner table debates that lead to fighting and division? Then I hate to break it to you, but you are falling right into the schemes of Satan. Jesus was tortured, stripped of His clothes, His beard plucked out, all of His bones exposed for us; He was shamed and crucified for us while we were considered His enemies.

What if He decided He wasn’t going to do that because it wasn’t “fair”? The punishment for our sins would still be on us.

I plead with you today to love your neighbor. A.W. Tozer says it beautifully: “The load, or weight, or burden of my neighbor’s glory should be laid daily on my back, a load so heavy that only humility can carry it.”

What if you were more excited for your co-worker getting the promotion than if it was you? What if you prayed daily for your friend’s or sibling’s next encounter with the Lord over your own? Choosing love will change your life and everyone around you. Jesus died for the person you don’t like. He loves them deeply, just as much as He loves you. You are not better than the person who stole your glory, freedom, idea or job.

In the face of so much anger and division across the world, let us rise as the body of Christ in love. Jesus deserves to be rightly represented to the world. For too long, nonbelievers have had so many misconceptions about who Jesus is. What if the world said followers of Jesus are a people who love radically? What if the love we displayed to our enemies was so pure and selfless people ran to the gospel because they had never experienced such a love?

I think that’s what Jesus deserves, don’t you? {eoa}

The Word of God says that for centuries a divine mystery was concealed for generations. This mystery has the power to completely change your life, and it has been revealed to every believer to experience. These aren’t just mere words, but words that extend time, words that will radically change a life.

Colossians 1:26-27 (TPT) says, “There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience. Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!”

You will likely be met with hopelessness and despair as you turn on the news or scroll through social media, even just spending 15 minutes looking at everything going on in the world right now. You may be left wondering how your children and grandchildren will grow up in a world that seems to be rapidly deteriorating.

But friends, let me tell you: The Word of God says there is hope.

Satan is doing everything he can right now to steal that hope from your life. Why? Inside this treasure chest of hope is the radiating and manifest glory of the presence of God.

When you succumb to the fear agenda spreading throughout the globe, you lose the presence of God. Without hope, we lose our ability to contain the glory inside of us. It is Jesus Christ who anchors all hope. Without being filled with His hope, we don’t have the ability to have hope in the future.

Romans 15:13 says, “Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His super-abundance until you radiate with hope!”
