5 Signs This Dangerous Spirit Is Already in Your Home

It happened on an ordinary afternoon. Landon Schott was sitting on his couch watching the news when he heard something that stopped him cold. “I heard the Lord speak to me,” he recalls, “and here’s what he said: ‘You serve mammon.'”

The rebuke hit hard. Schott had been in ministry for years, had tithed faithfully since childhood and considered himself a mature believer. Yet God was calling him out, and he believes millions of Christians are in the same position.

What is mammon, exactly?

Mammon isn’t simply money. It’s the spirit that rests on money, a force that, according to Schott, traces back to an Assyrian god of riches borrowed from ancient Babylon. The same spirit behind the Tower of Babel is at work today: the belief that with enough resources, you don’t need God.

The strategy of Mammon is to get you to want, love and fear money more than you want, love and fear God. — Landon Schott

Jesus addresses mammon directly in both Luke 16 and Matthew 6, warning that “you cannot serve God and mammon.” Notably, Schott points out, many modern translations substitute the word “money,” erasing the spiritual dimension entirely. Sixteen percent of Jesus’ teachings address money, wealth or generosity, underscoring just how central this battle is to the believer’s life.

The vision that changed everything

When Schott tried to defend himself before God, the Lord responded with a vision: a set of antique scales, one side holding miracles, the other holding money.

“I saw myself praying prayers my whole life for decades, prayers that sounded like, ‘Lord, I either need a miracle or I need this amount of money.'” He had been placing mammon on the same altar as God, ready to obey whichever answered first. “I fell down on my face and began to repent,” he says.

5 signs mammon controls your life

Schott offers a direct diagnostic. You may be under mammon’s influence if:

  1. Fear leads your financial decisions, and you’re always afraid of not having enough, even before it’s gone.
  2. You believe more money will fix your life or bring lasting happiness.
  3. You delay obeying God with statements like, “I could really serve God if I had more money.”
  4. Anxiety dominates your thinking about finances, keeping you in a constant state of worry.
  5. You withhold generosity — or refuse to tithe — because you don’t fully trust God.

Breaking free: 5 practical steps

Freedom from mammon isn’t passive. Schott lays out five disciplines for taking back ground.

1. Give to God before anything else: bills, savings or personal spending. “When you put God first with your money, it’s impossible to serve mammon.”

To order Kap Chatfield’s new book, The Power to Prosper, visit .

2. Honestly ask yourself and close friends whether you’re genuinely generous; if you can’t produce clear evidence, that’s a revealing answer.

3. Schott is blunt about this: stop praying for money. “You are wasting your stinking prayers,” he says. “Pray for his perfect will.”

4. Practice contentment through periodic spending freezes, choosing discipline over desire.

5. Regularly repent for any partnership with mammon, knowing the spirit will continuously seek open doors, especially in seasons of financial pressure.

Greedy people will always find an excuse not to obey God with their money. — Landon Schott

Ultimately, Schott frames mammon as a question of first love. The rich young ruler walked away from Jesus because of money. “A lot of us do this on a regular basis, and we don’t realize it,” he says.

The invitation — and the challenge to us — remains the same: choose who you will serve.

Are Americans Turning on Israel? New Study Sparks Urgent End-Times Questions

We may just be living through one of the most prophetic moments described in the Bible.

According to a new Pew Research study, 60% of adults in the United States were found to have “an unfavorable view of Israel,” going up seven points from last year’s 53% disapproval rating.

Along with this disheartening statistic, 59% were discovered to have “little or no confidence in Netanyahu to do the right thing regarding world affairs,” which is also higher than last year’s 52% disapproval rating.

What’s interesting about this is that it doesn’t appear to be a political party issue, considering people on both ends of the aisle were found to disapprove of Israel and Netanyahu.

However, not only are six out of 10 Americans now viewing Israel with a negative slant, but 28% have a “very unfavorable view of Israel,” with “eight-in-10 Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents” seeing Israel in a negative light.

While 58% of Republicans or those who lean to the right see Israel favorably, the quickly changing views are unprecedented.

The Turning of the Nations Against Israel

The Bible repeatedly points to a time in the last days when Israel will stand increasingly isolated on the world stage. In passages such as Zechariah 12:3, God declares that Jerusalem will become “a burdensome stone for all people,” and that “all nations of the earth” will be gathered against it.

What we are witnessing now may be an early echo of that prophetic trajectory. The growing disfavor—even among historically supportive nations like the United States—suggests a cultural and spiritual shift that aligns with biblical warnings of a global turning away from Israel.

This isn’t merely about politics or policy; it reflects a broader realignment of hearts, perspectives and allegiances.

As public opinion continues to move, believers are reminded to stay discerning, grounded in Scripture and aware of the times.

If these trends continue, they may not just be headlines — they could be harbingers pointing toward the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

Digital Doomsday? Anthropic Withholds AI Model Too Dangerous for Humanity

Is this the beginning of the end?

A new report from the Daily Mail discussed how Anthropic crafted an AI chatbot that has been deemed “too dangerous to release to the public.”

According to the Mail, Anthropic said that what they have made can hack infrastructure units such as power plants, electrical grids and hospitals. Mythos, as it is called, was being tested, the organization discovered, “thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities, including some in every major system and web browser.”

Anthropic further noted that the “AI models have reached a level of coding capability where they can surpass all but the most skilled humans at finding and exploiting software fallout, for economies, public safety, and national security, could be severe.”

Terrifying, right?

The scariest part, however, may not be that this was created, but rather that some of the world’s largest companies will have access to it.

As The Daily Mail cites:

Instead, the model will be released to a group of more than 40 companies, including Amazon, Google, Apple, Nvidia, CrowdStrike, and JPMorgan Chase, as part of an initiative called ‘Project Glasswing’.

Supposedly, this will give these companies the capability to use Mythos to find issues in their security systems before it becomes a more widespread, public model.

So, is this just another technological breakthrough—or a warning echoing through the pages of Scripture?

In an age where knowledge is increasing at an unprecedented rate, as foretold in the book of Daniel, humanity now stands at a crossroads. What was once confined to imagination is now reality—systems so powerful they can infiltrate infrastructure, expose vulnerabilities and potentially disrupt entire nations in moments.

And yet, the deeper question isn’t just what this technology can do—but who will ultimately control it.

The Bible warns of a time when deception, power and control will converge in ways the world has never seen. Could tools like this become part of that system—mechanisms that enable unprecedented surveillance, manipulation or even coercion on a global scale? While innovation itself is not evil, the hearts behind it—and the systems it empowers—matter more than ever.

Jesus warned in Luke 21 that there would be signs that shake nations and stir fear across the earth. But He also told believers not to be overcome by fear, but to remain watchful and discerning.

As artificial intelligence continues to advance beyond human limits, this moment serves as a sobering reminder: the line between progress and peril is thinner than we think.

This isn’t just about technology. It’s about the times we are living in.

And for those with eyes to see, it may be yet another signal that the world is moving rapidly toward a prophetic climax—one that calls not for panic, but for readiness, wisdom and unwavering faith.

NASA Confirms Mystery Fireball Seen Across Multiple States

A sudden blaze across the sky left thousands asking the same question: What just happened?

On April 7, a massive fireball streaked across the Mid-Atlantic in broad daylight, triggering alarm and confusion.

A Shocking Sight Across Multiple States

According to CBS New York via MSN, eyewitnesses across Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey reported seeing a bright object tear through the sky.

As The New York Post noted, many described a brilliant flash followed by glowing fragments—some appearing green—scattering midair. Others reported loud booms, with some saying the sound was strong enough to shake homes.

The New York Post reported that nearly 200 sightings were submitted to the American Meteor Society, highlighting how widespread the event was.

NASA later confirmed the object was a meteor fireball.

A Moment That Turned Eyes Upward

For a brief moment, attention shifted away from the noise of everyday life and toward the sky.

Questions spread quickly. Speculation followed. And for many, the experience carried a sense of awe that lingered long after the fireball disappeared.

Moments like these often stir deeper reflection.

In Luke 21:11, Jesus speaks of “great signs from heaven” as part of the events leading up to the last days. These unexplainable sights, which continue to increase in numbers, just may be part of these signs from heaven.

In a time marked by global uncertainty and rapid change, even a fleeting fireball can prompt a powerful question: Are we paying attention when the heavens draw our eyes upward?

Teleported to Waffle House? FEMA Official’s Shocking Claim Sparks Questions

There’s something new and unusual happening each and every day. One of those things appears to be the claims of a FEMA official who says he was teleported to a Waffle House.

In a report by The Independent, it was noted that top FEMA official, Gregg Phillips, claims that he was once teleported to a Waffle House located in Rome, Georgia. However, employees at the restaurant say they’ve never seen him before.

Shastoni Burge has worked Waffle House in Rome for over a decade, but told The New York Times, “I’ve seen it all. But I’ve never seen that.”

To order L.A. Marzulli’s new book, The Waiting Room, visit .

The New York Times also reportedly interviewed two dozen regular customers and workers across the three Waffle Houses in Rome, and no one could identify Phillips from his photo.

In Jan. 2025, Phillips was on the Onward podcast, where he said he had come through an “incredibly frightening moment.”

This moment was none other than having his car lifted, all while he was actively driving. He claims he was then teleported 50 miles to a Waffle House in Rome.

“You know it’s happening, but you can’t do anything about it,” Phillips stated. “…you just go with the wow, what just an incredible adventure it all was.”

He also said that “Teleporting is no fun”, and that this took place while he was “heavily medicated.” Phillips further saw this as a “miracle” that was orchestrated by God.

This story is a reminder that in a time of increasing spiritual noise and encounters, the people of God must stay grounded, vigilant and rooted in truth, testing the spirits behind what is being said at all times.

Is Intelligent Alien Life a Threat to Earth? A Shocking Warning Emerges

A growing number of researchers are raising a startling possibility: intelligent extraterrestrial life may already exist—and it could possess the power to destroy humanity in an instant.

According to reporting from the New York Post, longtime UFO researcher Dr. Don Donderi, a retired McGill University professor, warned that alien civilizations may be far more advanced than anything humanity has developed. He suggested that their technology could “overcome our technology and power” and potentially end life on Earth in “a microsecond.”

Donderi’s conclusions are based on decades of research involving scientific analysis, eyewitness reports and government-related data. He argues that humanity currently has no defense against such beings, stating that no institution—from local governments to global bodies—could stop them if they chose to act.

Government Voices Add to the Mystery

The conversation is no longer limited to fringe theories. U.S. leaders and officials have also weighed in, fueling both curiosity and concern.

Rep. Tim Burchett recently claimed he received briefings on extraterrestrial matters so disturbing that, if revealed, they could “unglue” the nation.

Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama acknowledged the possibility of alien life, though he stated he saw no confirmed evidence during his presidency.

President Donald Trump has also addressed the issue, planning to declassify UFO-related files.

A Biblical Lens: End Times Deception?

While the scientific and political worlds debate the existence of extraterrestrial life, this raises a different question: Could this phenomenon be part of a spiritual deception?

Vice President JD Vance recently suggested that UFOs may not be extraterrestrial at all, but could instead be “demonic” in nature—echoing beliefs held by ancient civilizations that described supernatural beings descending from the heavens.

This aligns with biblical warnings about deception in the last days. Scripture cautions that powerful signs and wonders could mislead many (Matt. 24:24), and the apostle Paul warned of a coming “strong delusion” that would cause people to believe what is false (2 Thess. 2:11).

As the world grows increasingly fascinated with what may lie beyond Earth, Christians are called to remain grounded in truth and discernment.

Because in an age of rising mystery and powerful narratives, not everything that appears otherworldly is what it seems.

Logan Paul Meets Joel Osteen: The Megachurch Moment Going Viral

In a powerful and interview that just dropped from Logan Paul’s Impaulsive Podcast, the internet sensation sat down with none other than Lakewood Church’s senior pastor, Joel Osteen.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Joel Osteen,” Paul announced.

In another clip from the podcast trailer, Paul asks Osteen a very vital question for our day and age: “Why do you think Gen Z is so interested in Christianity?”

“They’re authentic, and they want to find God for themselves,” Osteen replies.

Speaking on topics ranging from megachurches, the viral Druski church skit, Osteen’s wealth, what happens after death, and whether there will be a hierarchy of believers in heaven, no stone is left unturned, including Osteen’s previous connection to Kanye West.

To order Amanda Grace’s new book, Brace For Impact, visit .

“What I see now is not the Ye that I knew,” Osteen says of West. “I pray for him.”

At a time when a generation is searching for truth beyond filters and fame, this conversation is more than just another viral moment — it’s a signal.

As Osteen points out in the interview, this is a time in which we have to embrace the new and let go of the old that has held back God’s people from fully experiencing His presence. “God will give you beauty for ashes—but as long as you’re holding on to the ashes, you’ll never see the beauty.”

As platforms collide with pulpits and influencers sit across from pastors, the real question isn’t just why Gen Z is leaning in — it’s whether the church will rise with boldness, clarity and conviction to meet them there.

Was the Iran Ceasefire Foretold? Kim Clement’s Stunning 2007 Prophetic Word

A prophetic word delivered years ago is drawing renewed attention as the United States and Iran reach a tenuous pause in hostilities.

As the world watches the fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran, the words of the late Kim Clement now carry a fresh urgency.

Is this a turning point, or merely the calm before a greater storm?

“Because of the disruption of political powers, the disruption of a force that is held strong in Iran…” Clement stated, “And God says, ‘I will spite the instead of blowing up and destroying, as many wish, Iran, I will raise up hundreds of thousands of Christians amongst the young people.'”

Those words carry particular weight today. Iranian youth have been at the forefront of protest movements, and we see a surge of underground church networks and conversions to Christianity that have been quietly documented for years.

To order Amanda Grace’s new book, Brace For Impact, visit .

“In the schools, in the colleges, in the mosques. Young men and women, I will raise from within,” he continued, “For God says, ‘Why would I do it any other way?'”

Iran has become known as one of the fastest-growing Christian populations on earth, fueled not by foreign missionaries but by dreams, visions and organic community — precisely the kind of sovereign inside-out movement Clement seemed to be describing.

“God says, ‘Do not fear, Iran. Do not fear what they are trying to do for China; oddly enough, will stand [on] firm ground. And God said, ‘America shall say, ‘We never dreamed that China would stand for a season in this crisis.’ For God said, ‘There is a crisis about to happen, but quickly and swiftly shall it be placed under your feet.'”

Whether this ceasefire holds or collapses under the weight of mutual distrust remains to be seen. But for those who have tracked Clement’s prophetic record, the alignment of these words with current events is difficult to dismiss.

Now, time will tell whether this current conflict is the one he prophesied in 2007.

Philip Anthony Mitchell: ‘Cotton Candy Gospel’ Is Killing the Church

In a recent conversation on The Jesus People Podcast with Ryan Miller, Philip Anthony Mitchell delivered a message that was equal parts prophetic warning and pastoral plea: the bride of Christ is asleep, the hour is late and what the church needs now is not another conference. It’s repentance.

We Are Living in the Final Hours

Mitchell, known for his uncompromising, Scripture-saturated preaching, was direct about his eschatological convictions.

“I personally believe both in my prayer time and my study of God’s word that we are very near to the end,” he said. “I believe that we are probably living in the final hours of the church age.”

He pointed to global headlines, the rise of hostile ideologies, the unfolding of 2 Timothy 3 and what he called “the winds of Matthew 24” as converging signs of the season.

But his greatest concern wasn’t geopolitical. It was the state of the pulpit.

“I do believe the greatest threat to the American church is the American pulpit,” Mitchell said plainly. He described a “cotton candy gospel” circulating in Western Christianity, one that keeps believers comfortable in sin rather than calling them toward holiness, mission and genuine discipleship.

Repentance First

When asked what awakening looks like, Mitchell didn’t point to a revival event or a prayer meeting. He pointed inward.

“It starts with repentance,” he said. “There is a type of American western gospel that is keeping people comfortable in sin… and I think what we need right now begins with genuine repentance, gospel preaching and prayer that fuels revival.”

To order Kathryn Krick’s new book, Ignite Revival, visit .

He invoked the parable of the 10 virgins from Matthew 25 as a sobering framework.

“The danger in that passage is that it does reveal that there are people right now who feel like they’re believers and they’re ready, and they’re not,” he warned.

Mitchell’s concern, he said, was not the atheist or the agnostic. It was the person sitting in church every Sunday who believed they were right with God and may not be.

Die to Live

Perhaps the most visceral thread of the conversation was Mitchell’s call to crucify the flesh. Drawing from his own testimony, he described sanctification not as a comfort but as a daily funeral.

“Every day for me, there is a measure of a funeral,” he said. “There is a moment in which I’m ringing out my heart from sin… I don’t want to assume that my heart is so full of light that there’s not darkness still sitting in there that I don’t see.”

His exhortation was blunt: “We need to preach more death so that our people will be more alive in the spirit.”

A Final Word

Mitchell closed with a call that cut across fear, apathy and false security alike.

“Time is running out. The Lord is returning soon… Now is the hour to take their entire life and put it on the altar. Say, ‘Jesus, for you I live and for you I die.'”

The alarm has been sounded. The only question is whether the church will wake up in time.

Pastor Killed, Husband Charged in Chilling Murder Case

Tragedy struck as 58-year-old North Carolina Pastor Tammy McCollum was shot at home on Monday, April 6, and her husband is now facing charges for her death.

According to a report by The Christian Post, McCollum served as a minister at The Well Worship Center in Statesville and worked at Ulta Beauty in Charlotte.

According to a report by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, authorities responded to a call from around 2 a.m. ET regarding assault with a deadly weapon, to which they discovered her with gunshot wounds and pronounced her dead.

Now, Eddie McCollum, 61, Tammy McCollum’s husband, is being charged with first-degree murder after being questioned by detectives.

McCollum was described by Sha’Brittany Evans as a joy to the world that is dark and cruel.

“I’m going to miss your beautiful smile and bright spirit. I was supposed to do your makeup this weekend for your birthday. My God, this is a cruel, evil world we live in,” Evans wrote. “Ulta Beauty’s best employee.”
