Kathryn Krick Warns: Spiritual Promotion Will Trigger Spiritual Warfare

As believers pray for greater impact, influence and effectiveness in the kingdom of God, they should also expect spiritual resistance to increase—but not fear it.

That was the central message from Kathryn Krick during a recent sermon titled “Overcoming the New Devils in New Levels,” where she encouraged Christians to interpret seasons of opposition through a biblical lens rather than an emotional one.

Opening with the familiar phrase “new levels, new devils,” Krick argued that whenever God elevates His people, the enemy responds with greater hostility—not because Satan is winning, but because God’s kingdom is advancing.

“The devil is never happy whenever God lifts you,” Krick said. “His anger has no power over the victory that God’s bringing.”

Rather than viewing attacks as signs that something has gone wrong, she challenged believers to recognize them as reminders that their obedience is bearing fruit.

To illustrate the point, Krick turned to the life of Joseph in Genesis 37. She noted that Joseph’s prophetic dreams immediately stirred jealousy among his brothers, eventually leading them to sell him into slavery. Yet what appeared to be tragedy ultimately became God’s pathway to Joseph’s placement in Egypt, where he preserved countless lives during a famine.

“What the devil intended for evil, God intended for good,” she said, pointing to Joseph’s testimony as evidence that God can redeem even the darkest seasons for His purposes.

Krick also warned believers to guard their own hearts when they witness God blessing others. Feelings of jealousy, resentment or frustration over another person’s promotion, she said, should be recognized as temptations that must be rejected rather than entertained.

Throughout the message, she emphasized that Scripture consistently portrays Satan’s primary weapon as deception. Referencing John 8:44, she reminded listeners that the devil is “the father of lies,” while Romans 8 declares that believers are “more than conquerors” through Christ. Victory, she argued, comes by rejecting falsehood and remaining anchored in God’s truth.

Drawing from her own ministry, Krick reflected on the rapid growth of Fivefold Church beginning in 2021. She acknowledged that increased visibility also brought criticism and false accusations, but said those challenges never reversed what God had established.

Looking back, she testified that every season of opposition ultimately strengthened her confidence in God’s faithfulness.

Near the end of the sermon, Krick identified what she called three primary strategies believers should recognize: intimidation, distraction and emotional exhaustion. Instead of allowing criticism to consume their attention, she urged Christians to remain focused on their calling and continue proclaiming what God is doing.

For those navigating seasons of unexpected resistance, Krick’s message offers a reminder found throughout Scripture: opposition does not necessarily signal defeat. Often, biblical history shows that God’s greatest advances have unfolded amid the fiercest resistance.

The challenge for Christians, she suggested, is not merely enduring spiritual battles, but refusing to let those battles distract them from faithfully fulfilling the assignment God has placed before them.

Autumn Miles Reveals the Supernatural Battle That Pulled Her Back From the Brink

Author and Bible teacher Autumn Miles is encouraging Christians facing sudden change not to mistake transition for defeat.

Appearing in a recent interview with Daystar, Miles opened up about surviving domestic abuse, encountering the voice of God during one of the darkest nights of her life and receiving what she believes is a timely prophetic message for believers navigating unexpected seasons of uncertainty.

Miles recalled reaching a breaking point after enduring years of physical, emotional and psychological abuse in her first marriage.

“When you’re suffering for so long, you just want out,” she said.

She admitted she had begun believing lies that God wanted her dead and that there was no hope left. Then, during what she described as a supernatural encounter around 3 a.m., everything changed.

“I could feel the supernatural fight for me. I could feel demonic forces and godly forces fighting for me,” Miles said.

As she cried out to God, she said she heard the Holy Spirit ask a simple but life-altering question: “Do you remember Me?”

Desperate for an answer, Miles opened her Bible to Psalm 91.

“I needed deliverance,” she said. “I needed to get out of that situation.”

She surrendered her life to Christ that night and says she worshipped for three hours, an encounter she believes permanently altered the trajectory of her life.

Although she eventually divorced her abusive husband, the journey that followed proved equally painful. Miles said the church she attended disciplined her because she pursued a divorce despite the abuse.

“They put me up for church discipline,” she recalled.

Rather than allowing bitterness to take root, however, Miles said God eventually led her toward forgiveness after studying the book of Job.

That experience later inspired her latest book, Holy Ghosted, which explores the painful seasons when believers feel abandoned by God.

To order Autumn Miles’ new book, Holy Ghosted, visit .

“I think we need to understand that there are hard places in God,” Miles said. “God says nothing to Job for 38 chapters.”

Instead of viewing God’s silence as rejection, Miles argues believers should remember His unchanging character and trust His previous faithfulness until His voice becomes clear again.

Later in the broadcast, Miles shifted into what she described as a prophetic word centered on Joshua chapter 1.

“I want to tell you something,” she declared. “You still have a Jericho ahead of you to conquer.”

Addressing Christians who have recently experienced divorce, devastating medical diagnoses, or unexpected life changes, Miles said these situations often feel frightening because they force people to leave familiar seasons behind.

“The season might change,” she said, “but the mission is the same.”

Drawing from God’s repeated command to Joshua, Miles emphasized that fear causes believers to forget God’s promises.

“Be strong and courageous. Don’t fear or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

She encouraged viewers not to become fixated on what has ended but instead to prepare for what God is leading them into next.

Joshua’s greatest victories came after the wilderness, she noted, suggesting that many believers today may likewise be standing on the threshold of their own promised land. Miles’ testimony serves as a reminder that God’s greatest assignments often begin immediately after life’s most difficult chapters.

God Is Preparing You for Transition: Here’s How to Know It’s Time to Move

For many Christians, the next move God orchestrates may begin long before the moving truck arrives.

In a recent prophetic encouragement shared after relocating from the United States back to his native South Africa, minister Alwyn Uys reflected on what he believes the Holy Spirit has been revealing about relocation, transition and preparing for a new assignment.

Uys said he sensed the Lord highlighting a season in which many believers are being repositioned—not because they have failed where they are, but because they have completed what God intended for that particular season.

To illustrate the message, Uys described a vivid picture the Lord showed him.

“I will lead with this picture that the Lord showed me about a fish in a fish bowl and how this fish was growing, but it came to a point where it became too big for its environment,” he said.

According to Uys, the image represents Christians who have spiritually matured beyond the place where God originally planted them.

He explained that God often sends believers into specific environments to be trained, equipped and strengthened. But eventually, there comes a time when that assignment reaches completion.

“It’s not that the assignment is expiring because God is relocating you to a different place where the assignment will continue,” Uys said. “But right now, where you are right now, it has come to completion.”

One of the strongest themes throughout the message is that God often changes a person’s heart before changing their address.

“Oftentimes before God shifts you geographically, he will shift your heart,” Uys said. “Your spirit will know that God is busy moving you.”

That inward stirring, he believes, may explain why some Christians suddenly lose passion for places or circumstances they once loved. Rather than interpreting the feeling as dissatisfaction alone, Uys encouraged believers to prayerfully discern whether God is preparing them for something new.

To order Alwyn Uys’ new book, Speak Lord, visit .

He also challenged listeners not to wait until every detail is visible before responding in faith.

“Oftentimes we want to figure things out logically before we step into obedience,” he said. “I believe that God is calling some of you to step into obedience even if you don’t have all the answers.”

Instead, Uys urged practical preparation. Those sensing a coming move should begin organizing finances, updating passports or visas, exploring employment opportunities and preparing their households so they are ready when God opens the door.

“If you know that God wants to move you to a different country, get your passport ready. Get your visa stuff ready. Be ready.”

The message concluded with a prayer asking God to give believers discernment “like the sons of Issachar,” provision for the journey ahead and the courage to recognize the Lord’s timing.

For those of us navigating uncertainty, Uys’ message serves as a reminder that God’s guidance often begins with quiet shifts in the heart before becoming visible in the natural world. Seasons may change long before circumstances do, and believers are called to remain attentive to the Holy Spirit, preparing faithfully while trusting God to reveal each next step in His perfect timing.

Amanda Grace Warns of Islamic Terror, A European Fall and America’s Next Crisis

Amanda Grace of Ark of Grace Ministries says the church is entering a critical hour where praise must become more than a song—it must become a weapon.

In a newly released prophetic message, Grace said she believes the Lord is calling Christians to prepare for a season of spiritual warfare, political shaking and revival. The lengthy word touched on breakthrough, Europe, Israel, America and the global church, while repeatedly urging Christians to pray, discern and remain anchored in Scripture.

Praise Is the Church’s Weapon

Grace opened the message by emphasizing praise as a spiritual strategy for believers in times of warfare.

“Judah means praise,” Grace said. “A church that can praise is a church that can push through.”

According to Grace, praise is not merely an emotional expression, but a weapon that shifts atmospheres, breaks resistance and positions believers for victory.

“Praise has a purpose. Praise is a weapon,” she said, adding that praise “produces an atmospheric shift that opens gates and brings down obstacles for answers to push through.”

Grace also said praise helps believers exchange heaviness for freedom, reminding viewers that God “inhabits the praises of His people.”

Pressure Before Revival

Grace then turned to what she described as a coming season of pressing that will produce spiritual oil.

“This is the as the pressure mounts and the pressing occurs, the praise from His people will produce the oil of anointing,” she said.

She predicted radical encounters with Jesus among media personalities, political figures and those who have openly rejected biblical faith. Grace said some who have pushed anti-Christian ideologies for years would renounce them after supernatural encounters with Christ.

She also pointed to revival beyond America, referencing Europe, the Middle East, India and Indonesia as places where she believes God will move in unexpected ways.

Spain Faces a Prophetic Warning

One of the more specific portions of Grace’s message centered on Spain.

According to Grace, the nation is approaching both political instability and spiritual reckoning. She said Spain’s leadership would “disintegrate” within the next year and claimed hostility toward the Jewish people would bring economic consequences.

“The alluring aroma of hatred for My people has allowed you to eat the bitter scroll of persecution, and it shall sour your economy,” Grace said.

She then compared what she described as current spiritual and political developments to an attempted revival of the Spanish Inquisition, saying the effort would ultimately turn back on those behind it.

“However, I, the Lord thy God, this day say it shall not be an inquisition against My people, but against you, O leader of Spain,” Grace said.

Grace added that European leaders would face scrutiny while people across the continent would “march in the streets and cry for Jesus Christ.”

Islam, Terror Networks and Intercession

Grace also delivered a sharp warning concerning Islamic extremism, alleged terror networks and spiritual warfare in Europe and America.

She claimed hidden plots, financial pipelines and infiltration efforts would be exposed, saying even those within such circles would become whistleblowers.

“As they yell Allah in the streets of Ireland, in the streets of England, in the city hubs of your nation, O America, the name Adonai shall start as a whisper and turn into a thunderous battle cry,” Grace said.

She continued by saying, “What is hidden deep in their mosques—the blueprints for takeovers, for infiltration, for terror attacks—I, the Lord thy God, by My Spirit shall compel their own to turn them in.”

Grace specifically mentioned Dearborn, Michigan, predicting what she called “a reverse exodus,” in which “the infiltrators shall become the detectors, shall become the whistleblowers.”

She also urged believers to pray for Texas and Florida, warning of alleged terror plots targeting city halls, senators, mayors and governors.

“Intercede and pray for the governors of Florida and Texas,” Grace said.

Israel, America and the Call to Watch

Grace also warned of political danger in Israel and America, including alleged attempts to destabilize leadership and bring a national crisis.

She referenced Israel’s government, the Knesset and the U.S. Congress, warning of a possible crisis window stretching from September toward the midterms.

The message was not framed as a call to panic, but as a call to intercession.

“Intercede and pray,” Grace repeated throughout the word.

Hope for the Faithful

Despite the intensity of the warnings, Grace ended with encouragement for believers who have remained faithful through pressure.

“The voices who have spoken be amplified and elevated in this hour,” she said. “Opportunity shall now suddenly come.”

Grace closed by urging viewers to test the spirit, stay in Scripture, remain watchful and “armor up according to Ephesians chapter 6.”

The message is clear: this is not the hour to shrink back. It is the hour to praise, pray, discern and stand firm as the shaking gives way to the purposes of God.

Islamic Call to Prayer Faces Major Government Crackdown

Denmark is weighing whether the Islamic call to prayer should be heard over loudspeakers in its public spaces.

According to The Telegraph, Danish Immigration and Integration Minister Morten Bødskov has declared that the government will once again examine whether it can legally prohibit the public broadcasting of the Islamic call to prayer, known as the adhan. This will be the third time in recent years that Denmark’s Social Democratic-led government has explored the possibility of implementing such a ban.

“The Islamic call to prayer has no place in Denmark,” Bødskov said. “The call to prayer should not be heard over Danish rooftops. It has no place in Denmark, and you shouldn’t doubt whether you’ve ended up in a suburb of Islamabad when you walk around Denmark,” MSN quoted him as stating.

Rather than introducing immediate legislation, the Danish government is first reopening a legal review to determine whether a nationwide ban would comply with the country’s constitution and its obligations under European human rights law.

While mass Islamic immigration has hit Europe and rapidly changed its demographics, America is starting to see this same ripple shift things. New York City not only has the first-ever Muslim mayor, but through his influence, multiple other socialists are now set to take over political positions in the state. The Muslim call to prayer has already affected those living in New York City since Mamdani’s rise to power.

Texas continues to be inundated with Islam as well, with a recent viral video on social media showing the streets of downtown Houston lined up with Muslim women in hijabs walking through the city, with flags touting Arabic on them, while the men sang songs.

The question is no longer whether or not Islam will affect Western society. It already has. The question now: Will we allow it to change the very core of our nation?

Christian MLB Players Publicly Shamed for Standing on God’s Word

For a few San Francisco Giants pitchers, writing a Bible verse on a baseball cap became more than a personal expression of faith—it became the catalyst for public protests against Christians who hold a biblical conviction regarding homosexuality.

According to Fox News’ OutKick, demonstrators gathered outside Oracle Park ahead of the Giants’ June 23 matchup against the Athletics to condemn the Giants pitchers who declined to fully participate in the team’s Pride Night celebration. The protest followed the club’s June 12 Pride Night game, when pitchers Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on their rainbow-themed caps, while pitcher Sam Hentges chose not to wear the special cap at all because of his Christian convictions.

The passage from Genesis tells the story of God’s covenant with Noah after the flood, identifying the rainbow as the sign of His everlasting promise to humanity.

For the players, the verses represented a biblical declaration—not a political statement.

That distinction, however, did little to quiet critics.

Fox News reported that protesters carried signs denouncing the pitchers and accused them of promoting discrimination against the LGBTQ community. Some fans argued the players should no longer represent the organization if they refused to embrace Pride Night, while one self-described “LGBTQ-affirming Catholic” reportedly suggested players unwilling to wear Pride-themed apparel should be benched.

To order Zaire Willis and Reginald Robinson’s new book, Born Gay, Born Again, visit .

The Bible passage at the center of the controversy speaks not of division but of God’s faithfulness. Genesis 9 describes the rainbow as God’s covenant with every living creature—a symbol that Christians and Jews have recognized for thousands of years, long before it became associated with modern social movements. However, it is being used today as a symbol of pride, something God is actively against.

Americans have grown accustomed to seeing athletes encouraged to express social and political causes from the field. Yet when Christian players quietly reference Scripture or decline participation based on sincerely held religious convictions, they often become the targets of public condemnation rather than recipients of the same respect afforded to other viewpoints.

This moment serves as another reminder that following Christ has never promised cultural approval. Jesus Himself warned His followers that faithfulness would often invite opposition. Sometimes simply quoting Scripture is enough to ignite a national controversy—and perhaps that speaks volumes about today’s culture.

Exposed: Etsy’s Hidden Marketplace for Witches, Hexes and Spells

What began as an online marketplace for handmade crafts has become the center of an unexpected spiritual debate.

According to conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey, Etsy’s recent enforcement against listings advertising spellcasting, curses, love spells and other occult services highlights a much deeper issue than questionable online sales—it reveals what she believes is an increasing normalization of witchcraft in mainstream culture.

“We’ve got a spiritual sickness in our culture, and the gospel is the answer,” Stuckey said during a recent broadcast. “When it’s becoming popularized, when it’s becoming normalized, when it’s becoming commercialized, when billions and billions of dollars are being made by people casting spells on others through a seemingly innocuous site like Etsy, we’ve got a problem.”

The discussion follows renewed attention to Etsy’s enforcement of a policy prohibiting the sale of metaphysical services since 2015.

According to Stuckey, the marketplace had long allowed vendors to advertise services such as love spells, curses, psychic readings and money manifestation rituals despite those written rules.

Etsy’s policy bars sellers from offering spellcasting, Reiki, prayers for sale and other metaphysical services whose outcomes cannot be verified. While many of those listings have recently been removed, Stuckey suggested the timing may be connected less to moral concerns than to legal and public-relations considerations.

To order Jenny Weaver’s book, The Wicked World of Witchcraft, visit .

She pointed to widespread reports that someone allegedly purchased a spell targeting conservative activist Charlie Kirk before his assassination, arguing that the controversy may have prompted Etsy to begin more aggressively policing its marketplace.

“I don’t think that the people at Etsy… have moral qualms with witchcraft,” Stuckey said. “I think they don’t want to be on the hook for the potential of fraud. They don’t want to deal with another negative PR campaign.”

During the program, Stuckey displayed examples of listings that had advertised “millionaire spells,” obsession love spells and curses against enemies, many of which promised same-day results.

While acknowledging the claims may appear absurd, she argued that the people purchasing such services often reflect genuine spiritual and emotional desperation.

“It is very, very sad,” she said. “When you think about the desperation that someone has to have… to believe this kind of advertisement and then to pay money for it.”

Stuckey also warned Christians not to dismiss the occult as harmless entertainment while emphasizing that believers need not live in fear.

“This witchcraft doesn’t have any dominion over the Christian,” she said. “We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit… He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.”

Still, she cautioned that the growing popularity of occult practices—including manifestation culture, tarot readings and online spellcasting—points to a broader spiritual hunger that cannot ultimately be satisfied apart from Christ.

Rather than viewing witchcraft merely as an unusual internet trend, Stuckey argued it reflects humanity’s age-old desire to control the future apart from God.

Scripture repeatedly warns against occult practices while directing believers to seek wisdom, guidance and power from the Lord alone. As conversations surrounding spirituality continue to grow in the digital marketplace, the renewed debate over Etsy’s policies serves as another reminder that the battle for hearts and minds often extends far beyond the physical world.

Why the Dead Sea Scrolls Are Leaving Jesus Skeptics With a Stunning Dilemma

Few archaeological discoveries have reshaped conversations about the Bible quite like the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Nearly 80 years after their discovery near Qumran along the shores of the Dead Sea, the ancient manuscripts continue to provide some of the strongest historical evidence that the Old Testament we read today has been faithfully preserved—and that one of its most remarkable prophecies about the coming Messiah existed long before Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth.

In a recent teaching filmed at Qumran, Christian apologist Frank Turek stood beside Cave 4, where approximately 75% of the Dead Sea Scrolls fragments were uncovered, explaining why the discovery remains so significant.

Among the roughly 900 manuscripts recovered from the area, one stands above the rest: the Great Isaiah Scroll.

Dating to approximately 125 B.C.—more than a century before Christ’s birth—the scroll contains the complete book of Isaiah, including the famous 53rd chapter describing a suffering servant who would bear the sins of many.

Reading Isaiah 53 aloud at the site, a gentleman by the name of “Pastor Vince” highlighted familiar passages that Christians have long connected to Jesus Christ: “He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities…, and by His wounds we are healed.”

For Turek, the timing of the manuscript is impossible to ignore.

To order Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, The Stones Cry Out, visit .

“When you see what Vince just read written prior to Jesus, you have to ask yourself, how could they have done this?” he said. “There has to be some sort of divine insight, divine prediction.”

Just as compelling, he argued, is what happened when scholars compared the Great Isaiah Scroll with the much later Masoretic Text.

Separated by roughly 1,000 years, the two manuscripts were found to be approximately 95% identical. The remaining differences consisted primarily of spelling variations and minor word-order changes, reinforcing the remarkable care ancient Jewish scribes exercised in preserving Scripture through the centuries.

At the site, one question Turek was asked was why many Jewish people still do not recognize Isaiah 53 as referring to Jesus.

Turek responded that while early Jewish interpretation commonly viewed the chapter as messianic, later interpretations increasingly identified Israel itself as the suffering servant. He argued that interpretation ultimately falls short because Isaiah 53 describes a servant who is sinless and who bears the sins of others—characteristics that do not fit the nation of Israel, which the Old Testament repeatedly portrays as needing redemption itself.

The discussion concluded by connecting Isaiah’s prophecy to the broader message of the gospel. God’s justice, Turek said, required that sin be dealt with, while His love provided the sacrifice through Christ.

The ancient manuscripts do more than preserve Scripture—they testify that God’s redemptive plan was being written centuries before the events of the New Testament unfolded, offering yet another reason to trust the Bible’s reliability.

Jonathan Cahn: New York Invited God’s Judgment With One Historic Decision

Jonathan Cahn, the No. 1 New York Times best-selling author and prophetic voice, is sharing a rare story of what he describes as extraordinary spiritual warfare, along with a sobering warning that America may already be witnessing biblical patterns of judgment.

Speaking to his congregation about the release of the film, The Harbingers of Things to Come, Cahn said the project unfolded in ways he never planned. According to his account, Charisma Media originally approached him about producing a documentary based on The Harbinger II, which followed a series of unexpected developments that culminated in a nationwide release through Fathom Events.

“I didn’t plan it,” Cahn said. “Nobody planned it really—only God planned it.”

He also recounted several unusual incidents during filming that he believes reflected spiritual opposition. Among them were a production crew member’s daughter suffering a sudden seizure, an aggressive man confronting the team while claiming to battle angels, repeated interruptions while filming in Times Square and aggressive seabirds repeatedly swooping at the production crew during scenes filmed on an island.

“The enemy will always try to stop anything that’s of the Lord,” Cahn said. “Don’t let it surprise you when he comes like a flood.”

To order Jonathan Cahn’s new book, The Altar of Pergamon, visit .

But the heart of Cahn’s message centered not on filmmaking but on Scripture.

Opening to Jeremiah 19, Cahn examined God’s warning to Judah regarding the Valley of Hinnom, where children were sacrificed to pagan gods. He noted that the prophet specifically identified the shedding of innocent blood as one of the nation’s greatest sins before divine judgment came upon Israel.

Drawing a parallel to modern America, Cahn argued that abortion represents a similar national sin today.

“Of all the sins that brought judgment to Israel, the killing of its own children was foremost,” he said.

Cahn then highlighted what he views as a significant prophetic timeline. He noted that New York legalized late-term abortion on Jan. 22, 2019, while the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the United States became public exactly one year later—also on Jan. 22, the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion nationwide.

While acknowledging that he was not claiming every pandemic can be reduced to a single cause, Cahn suggested the timing reflects a biblical pattern worth considering.

“One of the judgments that Jeremiah said is going to come on Israel because of the killing of its children is that of a plague that will come on the land,” he said.

He further observed that China—the country where COVID-19 first emerged—and the United States have both played significant roles in the global abortion movement, arguing that this too carries prophetic significance.

Cahn’s warning also carries greater significance at this pivotal moment in New York’s political landscape. Following the latest elections, a growing number of socialist-backed candidates have secured key victories, which could reshape the state’s future direction on issues ranging from government policy to cultural values.

Just as Cahn called on Christians to intercede for America and seek spiritual awakening while there is still time, we see throughout Scripture, how seasons of warning were never intended merely to predict judgment—they were invitations to return to God.

Cahn’s challenge is that America’s future will ultimately depend not only on political decisions but on whether God’s people respond with repentance, prayer and renewed faithfulness.

Asbury Theological Seminary Removed by the UMC Just Years After the Historic Revival Captured the World’s Attention

A century-old evangelical seminary says it is standing firm on biblical convictions after being removed from the United Methodist Church’s list of approved schools for ordination candidates.

Asbury Theological Seminary announced Thursday that the University Senate of the United Methodist Church voted to delist the Kentucky institution from its approved schools of theology following disagreements over the denomination’s revised 2024 Social Principles on human sexuality and marriage.

In a press release from the seminary, President Dr. David F. Watson said that Asbury respected the Senate’s authority but maintained that the outcome “reflects a determination made by the UMC rather than a shared resolution.”

Watson said the seminary fully participated in the review process, submitting all requested documents and remaining transparent about its doctrinal convictions even when those beliefs differed from the denomination’s updated standards.

To order Sean Feucht’s new book, No Turning Back, visit .

“We engaged fully and faithfully in the process and honored every request from the Senate in a timely manner,” Watson said. “We were forthcoming with the requested documents and information. Throughout the process, we were honest and clear about our doctrinal and ethical standards, even when those differed from the recently amended Social Principles of the UMC.”

While expressing disappointment with the outcome, Watson noted that “their final decision to delist us was unilateral” and said the seminary’s mission remains unchanged.

At the heart of the disagreement, Watson pointed directly to the theological divide between the two institutions. He stated:

“The Senate’s requirements, particularly those related to the UMC’s 2024 Social Principles concerning ‘Human Sexuality’ and ‘Marriage,’ are not aligned with Asbury Theological Seminary’s institutional ethos and the historic witness of the Christian faith. We affirm marriage as sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union for life, as delineated in Scripture, and provides the sole context for sexual intimacy, helping to ensure the blessings of that relationship as God intended.”

Watson added that Asbury remains fully committed to the principles of Scripture.

According to the release, more than 4,000 living Asbury alumni affiliated with the United Methodist Church have served churches worldwide. Watson said the seminary remains grateful for its United Methodist students, alumni and faculty, and prays that God would continue to bless them.
