Brian Gibson 2024 Prophetic Word: “God’s Igniting a Holy Hunger”

In an exclusive interview with Charisma News, Brian Gibson gave a prophetic word for 2024 that brings both life and warning to what will be coming to America.

“I think the camp of darkness is more hungry for iniquity, and confusion, and pain, and trauma and turmoil,” Gibson said. “And they’re hungry to demonize young minds and to destroy worldviews. And so therefore, when the enemy comes in, like, comes in, right the original language says, like a flood, God lifts up a standard. So, I think God’s igniting a holy hunger in the saints. And what we’re seeing right now, at the end of 2023—I see revival breaking out not just in our church, but around America, little pockets of it.”

Gibson says that this hunger for righteousness is just a preview for all that we will see coming—both the merciful and the incoming judgment.

“I think if the church will allow God to come in and do what He wants to do, that He’s going to break the chain,” Gibson said. “I think darkness is going to come to America at an unprecedented rate…But that what God’s gonna do in the church will be an acceleration.”

Part of the darkness Gibson says that will be flooding through America is due to lampstands losing their light.

“I see in 2024 a lot of lampstands being extinguished,” Gibson said. Gibson noted that God spoke to him about spotlights being broken for shining the wrong things. This is a warning for churches to realize the discipline that God is getting ready to provide them with.

“Understand there’s a spiritual principle, that if we live like the world, we’re going to reap from the world,” Gibson said. “And we live like the church, we’ll reap from the church. So, reap from the Spirit of God. There are lampstands that have been focused on the wrong things, and they’ve been shining on the wrong things.”

Gibson says the issue with these churches is that they’ve had their minds set on things not of the Spirit of God, but on themselves.

“Their lampstands had been focused on the wrong things, and they’ve been shining on the wrong things. And the attention is ‘me,'” Gibson said. “My platform, make me bigger, make me larger, whatever it takes, and it’s produced nothing. And I think, one by one, a lot of those things are just getting moved out of the way…I think everybody got so focused on this kind of world, that we lost a morality, we lost the power of God, we lost the fear of the Lord. We lost all of these things that really mattered.”

While Gibson’s words are meant to encourage the church to move back closer to the heart of the gospel, he also wants to remind the church to stay focused on Christ, not the prophets who deliver words.

“We know in part and we prophesy in part. So, if you hang all of your like hope and faith, you know whether you’re right or not, every time you’re putting your faith in your gift instead of the Giver of the gift,” Gibson said.

As we see 2024 just around the corner, we must remember that God is wanting us to stay on target and focused on His purpose as we continue to prepare for the second coming of Christ.

Music Artist Lil Nas X Says He’s Entered into His ‘Christian Era’

In a new video clip, music artist Lil Nas X says he’s entered into his ‘Christian era.’ But how true is his faith?

Lil Nas rose to fame with “Old Town Road” and became known for inappropriately dancing with Satan and for “666” shoes. So, if Nas really has found the true meaning of the gospel by repenting of his sins and entrusting his life with Christ, then that would be a huge win. However, there are still some serious points of concern when it comes to what Nas has to say about Christianity.

Nas, who previously claimed to be homosexual, wrote comments on Twitter implying that he would continue to engage in this type of lifestyle, saying that Christianity and the LBGTQ lifestyle “are not mutually exclusive.” Nas went even further describing why he believes many oppose his “Christian era.”

“Y’all see everything I do as a gimmick,” Nas wrote on X. “When in reality I’m just an artist expressing myself in different ways. Whether I’m a cowboy, gay, satanic, or now Christian, y’all find a problem! Y’all don’t police nobody else art like mine. Y’all hate me because I’m fun, cute and petite.”

This tweet in itself could be considered questionable about whether Nas is using Christianity as his next ticket to fame.

In his song, Nas sings, “Father stretch my hands / The lonely road seems to last the longest / Help me with my plans / everything seems to go to nowhere / Oh free me from worry and wanting pity / Free me from all this envy in me / I don’t want these feelings / I call on angels / I’m trying hard to face my pain, yeah / Give me hope when I feel, give me hope when I feel less.

From the lyrics, it does seem that Nas wants some help managing his struggles and inner emotional turmoil. Yet, from other comments on X it seems that if Nas’ faith is true, he still has much to learn about what it means to turn away from sin and cling to God’s plans and purposes instead of our own.

In a time when drag queen artist Flamy Grant rose to the top of the Christian charts and even attended the Dove Awards, it is critical that we are wary of the kinds of content we consume, making sure that what we ultimately are placing in our minds and our hearts is a reflection of God’s goodness, holiness and mercy. Right now, only time will tell if Lil Nas X’s heart has completely been changed by the gospel.

Why Advent is a Foreshadowing of the Things to Come

The beginning of Advent starts this Sunday, and while this holiday tradition has become what many people consider as just another element to the Christmas season, it actually can be viewed as a foreshadowing of the things still to come in our world, including the second coming of Christ.

Many people celebrate Advent by lighting candles to represent the weeks growing closer to Christmas. This is seen as a time of preparation for the coming of Christmas, a representation of the hope and the light that Christ’s birth brought for the world. When you think about it from a biblical standpoint, the birth of Christ was the event of all events that the world was waiting for. The world was dark, and God had been silent for hundreds of years between the Old and New Testaments. The Jewish people had been waiting for the coming Messiah, and the birth of Christ was the fulfillment of God’s promise.

Just as we now celebrate Advent in anticipation of Christmas, remembering how the birth of Christ was the fulfillment of the Savior’s arrival, it actually foreshadows something just as great: Our Lord’s return.

Revelation 22:7 says, “Look, I am coming soon. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Jesus promises that He is coming soon. And those who keep His Word—which is faithful, true and perfect—will be blessed. Just a few verses later, we see a similar promise again:

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me to give to each one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last,” (Rev. 22:12-13).

Jesus promises that He will be back and He will reward according to what we have done. Even more, He reassures us that He is the Beginning and the End. He knows all, sees all and just as He created the world, He will be there when the end of this age comes.

So, what does Revelation have to do with Advent?

Just as God promised to come to the world to save it, He has promised to come back. Not only can we look back and see the great thing that God did by sending His Son into the world to save it, but we can also look forward to the great thing that will take place when He returns. We not only can look with expectancy at Christmas from the perspective of what’s already happened, but about what will happen.

Second Peter 3:9 tells us: “The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.”

God kept His promise to bring redemption to the world. He is the God who keeps His promise. Just as He kept His promise before, He will keep His promise to return. In a world where we see growing darkness in our culture, it can be easy to get swept up into the stormy seas of this life. However, that’s not what we’re supposed to do. We are supposed to look toward Jesus and the promise that He has made to come back. He has never broken a promise, and He will not begin now. He will be back.

So, this Christmas season, as you’re preparing and anticipating for the holiday festivities, remember not only to focus on the goodness and light that God has already brought to the world, but look at it from the perspective that God is a promise keeper who can be trusted to keep His promise again. We will see a day where every tear is wiped away and death will no longer persist. God will be true and faithful to keep this Word.

Outrage Sparks as The Satanic Temple Features Christmas Tree in Festival

Christmas has taken a very dark turn this year.

In an annual Christmas tree festival at the National Railroad Museum in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, Christmas took an entirely different turn this year as the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin placed their own Christmas tree in the festival this year.

According to Fox News, instead of donning angels, snowflakes or other sentimental ornaments, the Satanic temple’s ornaments read “Hail Santa,” similar to the phrase “Hail Satan.” Other ornaments on the tree included, “Hail All” with rainbow colors, an upside down cross and other official markers of the Satanic temple.

American Majority Action’s national executive director Matt Batzel took to X to share photos of the tree laden with red lights and the satanic sign next to it, saying, “Outrageous! National Railroad Museum features a Satanic worship tree.”

Museum CEO Jacqueline Frank admitted that while there have been a few complaints about the tree, she says that the museum would not discard an entry for having a differing viewpoint or religious doctrine.

“There was no hesitation. We’re not a religious organization,” Frank said. “And honestly, the Christmas tree is used by so many different secular and religious organizations. All we’re doing is putting up decoration in that room.”

This wasn’t the only controversial tree on display during the festival, which lasts until December 31. According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, there was also a tree on display from the Bay Area for Council and Gender Diversity about transgender rights with ornaments reading “Protect Trans Kids.”

The introduction of these dark and twisted concepts as part of the Christmas season are the complete opposite of what most people, especially parents, strive for during the holidays. While the world continues to trample around in darkness, we must seek out the light that can only be found in Christ. There’s a reason actors like Candace Cameron Bure are desiring to share the message of hope during the Christmas season, or that films like Journey to Bethlehem exist. This is the time to speak about the birth and the hope found through the one place that truly matters: The Son of God.

While our culture may have shifted its priorities during Christmas to be more retail-driven than church-centered, that does not mean that Christ is out of the holiday. Instead, we should embrace the true meaning of Christmas now more than we ever have before so that the world may know why we celebrate in the first place.

Demon Manifestation Leads Woman to Preach the Gospel on an Airplane

A Frontier Airlines flight showed the reality of the spiritual realm when a woman began to scream and shout, flailing about with her arms up in the air. As people on the plane tried to get her to sit and calm down, another woman emerged who would end up being a light into the darkness.

The second woman, having watched close-up what was happening, took the opportunity to point out that what was happening was none other than a demon manifesting and that the way to eternal life is through Christ.

“This is a real devil that wants to kill each and every one of y’all,” the Christian woman said. “Including your family members; that’s not her. She’s possessed and she needs help and I’m sorry to say it like that, but I’m [going to] tell you right now Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and nobody is going to come to the God the Father without Jesus Christ.”

The woman preaching the gospel continued to share about the power of Christ and the importance of having a real relationship with Jesus.

The only thing y’all need [is] to trust Him in the name of Jesus…anybody who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, anybody, everybody I don’t care I’m only telling you because all hell is about to break loose and y’all [are] getting the evidence of it,” the woman said.

The woman of faith calmly sang songs of praise during the other woman’s demonic outburst. As pastor and YouTuber Isaiah Saldivar pointed out, her singing reflected Paul and Silas while they were in prison.

Saldivar also pointed out that another woman who kept screaming over top of the worship may have also been triggered by something in the spiritual realm.

“I’m not going to say these people are demon-possessed because I don’t fully know, I wasn’t there, but when a demon manifests often it sets off a chain reaction of other demons manifesting,” Saldivar said. “I can’t count how many times I’ve seen one person manifest in a meeting, a prayer meeting or an altar time and then once that person starts manifesting a demon five more people start. It’s like this chain reaction in the spiritual realm.”

Ephesians 6 tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities. What most passengers may have seen as a delayed flight due to a woman aimlessly screaming very well may have had a deeper and more spiritual significance than they could ever know.

The reality of heaven and hell, of darkness and light was made known. The truth of the gospel was preached of Jesus as the only way to the Father. The grander plan that the Father’s heart is not for anyone to perish but to have eternal life was presented by this message being put on display by one woman’s act of boldness to stand for the truth.

Prayer and Praise Can Help You Navigate Life’s Storms

After experiencing one of the most difficult seasons of his life, Charisma Media’s James Lasher explained that it is through the power of prayer and praise that he was able to give thanks to God no matter what the enemy was trying to tell him.

When Lasher first accepted his role with Charisma Media, he and his wife knew that it was part of God’s plan for his life. However, for the first year and two months before finding a permanent residence, he found himself commuting each week from Orlando, Florida, to be with his wife and daughter at his in-law’s home in Georgia. This undesired separation from his family led him to heavily rely on the power of intercession from his family, friends and those he worked with, along with the principle of praise.

“From staying with people for the first portion, which seems like a lifetime ago even though it was less than a year, to staying in hotels…it would sometimes change from week to week and not knowing where I’d be the next, but knowing I’d be at Charisma each time and learning to praise the Lord during that time, to give Him thanks,” Lasher said.

Lasher has now not only seen God’s complete faithfulness to through the middle of one of his greatest storms as he and his family have now been permanently reunited, but he explains the greater, deeper appreciation for the spiritual growth that comes through trials and tribulations as the apostle Paul first described them.

“We look at a lot of times what Paul endured as the apostle who is responsible…for so much of the New Testament. And I was able to look back and see the things that he endured almost to the point of death, which eventually it did lead to death, but I’m talking about during his travels, during his establishing of churches across the regions of the Roman Empire. And what he endured from sickness, illness, hatred, jail, all of these things,” Lasher said.

Lasher says that one of the things that Christians today tend to get wrong is a belief that life will be without struggles. However, this is opposite of what the Scripture says.

“There’s such a misconception in Christianity that once you accept Christ into your life, which is an amazing, wonderful, joyous moment, [but] it’s not easy street after that,” Lasher says.

“If Christians would spend more time in the Word of God and develop their biblical literacy, they would see that persecution is going to come your way. Spiritual attacks and spiritual warfare are going to come your way because now you’re a part of Christ; you’re not a part of the world anymore so that puts a nice little target on you for Satan.”

All Christians are called to endure suffering at some point in time. There’s a reason that James 1:2-4 reads: “My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith develops patience. But let patience perfect its work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” While not everything we endure will be pleasant, God uses all things for His good and to grow us into the people He has called us to become.

Steven Curtis Chapman’s Symphony of Faith and Hope to Premiere on TBN

In a candid, exclusive interview with Charisma magazine, Steven Curtis Chapman reflected on the significance of his recently recorded concert performance, which marked a celebration of his 50, No. 1 hit songs and 20 years of his organization, Show Hope.

“I think moments though like this, you know, to celebrate a milestone, a mile marker in the journey, really are just one more opportunity to just be humbled, to be reminded that it’s all God,” Chapman said. “That God is good, that He has been faithful, that I get to sing about what is eternally true.”

The concert, which airs on TBN today, Nov. 24, features Chapman’s collaboration with an orchestra to deliver beautiful arrangements of his chart-topping hits. These hits remind Chapman, with great humility and thanks to God, of the journey he has had over the years, including the time of pressure when he was unsure about the future of his musical career. Instead, this would be the time God would use to renew his strength and provide a testimony that would touch millions through “The Great Adventure.”

“Things were getting busier, and more successful I guess, in a way than I even imagined when I started,” Chapman said.

After seeing a greater success and awaiting the birth of his third child, Chapman says he was afraid of failure and became unsure of whether or not he was supposed to continue to pursue music.

“I just remember weeping and saying, ‘guys, I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know if I even should be doing this because the toll it’s taken on my family,'” Chapman said. “I know God’s given me these songs and this opportunity, but maybe I’m not supposed to keep doing it or how do I do it.”

It was in this desperation that Chapman’s pastor helped provide him with the biblical advice he needed to keep going. Instead of feeling afraid and concerned about failing and not being enough, he was reminded that his grace and strength are derived directly from Christ.

“He said, ‘because you know this: you write songs about it, but I want to encourage you to remember what the cross is, what Jesus did at the cross. He took all of our failure, all of our not enoughness on Himself,'” Chapman said. “[Jesus said] Yeah, you’re not enough, but I am and My grace is enough for you.”

After realizing the need to lean in on Christ’s goodness and faithfulness, “The Great Adventure” came about and countless lives have since been touched by the song. However, music alone is not the only way that God has used Chapman’s life to have an impact on the world around him. He and his wife’s organization, Show Hope, which has helped over 8,600 families as they’ve adopted children from 63 different countries around the world.

“Show Hope is just a picture of the gospel that we get to put on display for the world,” Chapman said.

As we embark on the Christmas season, it’s stories like Chapman’s that are meant to remind us of God’s goodness and faithfulness no matter what He calls us to do because of His complete faithfulness to us to give us the gift of His one and only Son.

Candace Cameron Bure on Hope-Filled Entertainment for the Holidays

When it comes to Christmas entertainment, there’s few who do it better than Candace Cameron Bure.

In a new interview with Fox News alongside Great American Family CEO Bill Abbot, Bure shared her heart for creating family-friendly entertainment that can provide hope, with her latest film, “My Christmas Hero.”

“I think we want to create an oasis in a cultural desert,” Bure said.

With with her newest film, Bure is hoping to honor military members while providing meaningful content that the entire family can watch.

“I’ve been a Christian for a very long time, and I’ve been a mom for a long time, so all of those things I have some good input,” Bure said of the Great American Family content. “I’ve been in entertainment for a very long time, but I really connect with the people who view our movies, and that’s what’s most important, and I want to help create the best content out there.”

CEO Bill Abbot also said that it is the family and freedom values that he aspires the company to uphold and represent.

“Our network is all about celebrating faith, family and country,” Abbot said. “And so, it’s a privilege to be here. And it really represents what the nature of the heart of Great American Family.”

As Charisma magazine reported, Candace has spent years trying to bring the light of Christ to Hollywood’s entertainment industry. While Bure has been a Christian for many years, her switch from Hallmark to Great American Family placed her faith directly at the forefront of what she would and would not indulge, including content that placed LGBTQ relationships in the place of traditional marriages.

Bure is not the only family entertainment actor who has been outspoken about her faith. Co-stars Jen Lilley and Danica McKellar have openly shared about their relationship with Jesus. While the number of righteous, faithful Christians in Hollywood may seem to be far and few, it’s just as important that Christians who find themselves in the spotlight use it for His glory and not their own.

As the holiday season rolls around, families and friends will be gathered together and the Christmas movies and TV shows will abound. While the classics will be enjoyed, plenty of new content will flood the television screens. Even behind the lights of the Christmas trees and the warmth of the fireplace, it is critical that we stay vigilant with the types of entertainment we consume. This should be a time for God to be glorified and the gospel to be shared. What better way to start than by with the material consumed during a family movie night?

5 Lies The Church Has Accepted in an Anti-Christian Culture

Dr. Rosaria Butterfield exposed the truth about the lackadaisical approach Christianity, and especially ministries, have taken in relation to the LGBTQ agenda. While many today who have since come out of that lifestyle have been told by Christians that this is the thing they will always struggle with or that they will never be able to enter into godly marriages, Butterfield says this is a lie and that complete freedom from LGBTQ practices and attractions can be broken through the power of Jesus.

As someone who came out of the homosexual lifestyle, Butterfield has been able to experience the transformative power of Christ to make her life so much better than what she had planned for herself.

“God has allowed me to be a wife and a mother and a grandmother,” Butterfield said at Liberty University. “A pastor’s wife. And a servant in the church. I count my family and church as God’s greatest earthly blessings to me, and I have come to learn that while homosexuality is part of my biography, it is not part of my nature.”

She then shared the five lies that she believes are spread in today’s anti-Christian culture that we should be on the lookout for as she says they have seeped into the church.

The first lie, Butterfield says, is that homosexuality is normal. Second, she says is that “pagan spirituality is kind and inclusive.” This lie in particular goes right along with the warnings that authors like Jonathan Cahn have warned about as spiritual entities attack our society and bring about idolatry of same-sex attraction and transgenderism.

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up to date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

“The third lie is that feminism is good for the church and the world,” Butterfield said. “The fourth lie is that transgenderism is normal. And the fifth lie is that modesty for women is outdated and dangerous. These lies, which have entered the church and the Christian college have one thing in common: they discourage repentance of sin and they encourage the pride of victimhood.”

Rosaria’s profound points aligns perfectly with Scripture. The power of Christ is much greater and more abundant than we ever could have imagined. If Christ is great enough to conquer the grave, why wouldn’t He be considered great enough to completely overturn the grip of sin on someone’s sexuality?

First Corinthians 15:55 says, “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” God’s redemptive power is beyond any earthly sins and struggles we encounter.

The problem with these deceptive lies isn’t that there power is comparable to God’s but rather their appearance to be good and loving.

“And these lies have a subtle appearance because Satan is a liar who specializes in the persuasive lie of the half-truth,” Butterfield said.

Butterfield also shared about these deceptions with Eric Metaxas, including the dangers of what feminism in America is equating to today in light of the transgender movement.

“So much of these lies were driven by feminism,” Butterfield said. “And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, there’s only one place that feminism is alive and well, and it’s in the evangelical church. Because feminism in the world is dead. Transgenderism killed it. And I think this is a really important thing especially for Christian women to realize.”

Just because the world has considered something to be acceptable and right does not automatically mean it is right. Christians cannot fall asleep on the topics coming into the church and how we respond to them. While we desire to be loving and considerate, love is not always easy and sometimes it involves transformation for truth growth to take place. Galatians 5:1 tells us that “For freedom Christ freed us.” Experiencing this true freedom requires setting down all idols and sins at the foot of the cross with humility and repentance.

Todd Coconato on Consecration and the Power of Holiness

In an exclusive beyond the article interview with Charisma magazine, pastor Todd Coconato shared how God miraculously showed him through an angelic encounter why consecration is vital to the life of a believer.

“It’s kind of like in the Bible where every time pretty much where somebody saw an angel they got paralyzed with fear so I felt like that at first,” Coconato said of his angelic encounter that God used to tell him the message he has for the church today. “[The angel] basically said two things: ‘Come out from among them and be consecrated.’ And it shook me to the core and then as quick as it came it was gone.”

As Coconato pondered on what this meant, he saw that God wasn’t only sending him a message for his own personal life, but for the church at large. He pointed out that one of the main issues with ministries today is thinking that there is a place of arrival, believing that you have it made. Instead, it is key for Christians to be teachable, responsible and focused on the person of the Holy Spirit.

“We need to be teachable, we need to have mentors, we need to have elders, but we also need to hear from the Holy Spirit that’s the most important thing…we take advice. It’s good to be teachable and to be under the leadership of elders and mentors but we also need to hear from the Lord and know what the Scripture says,” Coconato said.

Without conviction, the following of the Holy Spirit and time spent in the Word of God, many modern churches today have instead receded to what Coconato considers a “microwave church” of seeking out instant faith and actions.

“I don’t believe in prophecy on demand,” Coconato said. “I’m not going to make up a word and get into my flesh just because somebody wants that. That’s prophecy on demand…But because we’re in a microwave church era you know where people want—everything in our society we can get real fast. You know you order things online, they come in a couple of days, some overnight, you go to a drive thru, you get a meal, I mean you know everything is very fast and that’s happened in the church now. It’s microwave Christianity where we want everything right now.”

One of the problems with demanding to have prophetic words when you want is that it no longer respects the person of the Holy Spirit. Instead, it treats the omnipotent, omnipresent God, the creator of heaven and earth as nothing more than a vending machine to gain what one would like.

“And so people have now gone to a lot of these folks, it’s almost like how they go to a psychic or a medium, and this is where we have to be extremely careful. They have to get a word for today; let me go to their website, and this is where I don’t believe that it’s all from God. I believe some of it could be from God, yeah, but this is where we have to have discernment. So the best thing that a Christian can do is just know the word, be in prayer, you know, hear from the Holy Spirit,” Coconato said.

For God’s anointing to overflow on His church, Christians must not only heed these warnings about becoming more hungry for the prophetic than for Jesus, but Coconato says that discipleship is also key for believers to consecrate themselves and grow in their faith.

“There’s not a lot of discipleship happening right now,” Coconato said. “There’s two reasons. One: people don’t want to be discipled, and two, people don’t want to disciple.”

While discipleship may be lacking in the church currently, Coconato says this is pivotal for the strength of believers’ faith, for tearing down pride, so that we may be more like Christ.

“We’ve walked away from discipleship and mentorship, and this once again has to be a major priority in the church,” Coconato said.

God is not looking for us to stay trapped in the bondages of this world. Instead, He’s looking for humble and committed hearts to seek Him and live for Him. To protect the anointing and to use it for the purposes God has intended it to be used for, we must place Him first before all other things.
