2023: A Year of Transition

2023 was filled with lots of powerful words, but one of the words which seemed to capture a unique angle of the year was words about transitions. Some of these words spoke to national affairs, while others to personal ones. Yet, as God continues to shift and move His people closer to His return, we can expect a ruffling of feathers on all levels so we can move in the direction that postures us toward His heart to say, “Lord Jesus, come.”

Mike Signorelli

Pastor Mike Signorelli made it clear that while he doesn’t spend a great deal of time prophesying into the new year, he had a very specific word about 2023 being a year of personal transition for many people.

“I do feel that we are in a very significant transition and I want to speak to that,” Signorelli said. He explained the word “established” would be significant for many people in 2023.

“Many of you have been feeling like you’re going through a transition, you’ve been feeling like, ‘man, I’m not where I used to be, but I’m not where I’m supposed to be,’ but I believe that the Lord in 2023 is going to establish many people. He’s going to establish ministries, He’s going to establish entrepreneurship and businesses, and this is the year of being established,” Signorelli said.

He also explained that this was in particular a season for many who, like Joseph, have been rejected and misunderstood as they’ve been working the middle of a process ordained by God, would start to be established in what God has called them into.

“The Lord is going to establish Josephs in 2023 and the burden is going to turn into a blessing, and you are going to see the fulfillment of this word, and it’s just so much of an encouragement,” Signorelli said.

Mark Biltz

Pastor Mark Biltz also prophetically shared that this would be a year when God would reveal the things inside of each of us so that we could know how to shift and grow to ready ourselves for the coming of Christ.

“This is the year God is going to tip everyone over so we can see what’s inside of us that we are going to be shocked that it’s there because He wants us to be ready for His coming at any time, but we may not be ready,” Biltz said. “And the way He makes us ready is by knocking us over so things spill out of our hearts, our thoughts, so don’t be upset.”

Curt Landry

Curt Landry said that 2023 would be a different year because he considered it a year of a “transfer of wealth.”

“The Lord showed this to me years ago that it was going to happen this year, and it’s already happening in many fronts,” Landry said. “Anytime there’s you’re not emotionally settled, you’re not spiritually settled and you’re not financially settled with good counsel, you’re probably going to lose that money pretty will usually accelerate the bad behavior, it will usually not cover it. So, with financial blessings coming I think this is a good time for some emotional stability, spiritual warfare, maturity and in addition to that financial wisdom to know how to operate with kingdom finance.”

Kent Christmas

In a later prophecy from September, Kent Christmas prophesied about both American politics and the church, but it is the church in particular that he said was in a transitionary season of shifting.

“I have shifted the church out of Chronos time, which is controlled by men, and I have started the clock in I am loosing the Kairos timing,” Christmas said.

As God is shifting time to heaven-set instead of by earthly standards, Christmas says it will make the church even more beautiful in the approaching end times.

“I have seen my church in this last day,” Christmas prophesied. “And it’s a beautiful church. It’s radiant. It’s glorious. It glows with My glory.”

Whether you’ve seen 2023 to be a year of personal transition, one financially, in your church or in another area of life to propel you toward God’s plans and purposes for your life, the power and the purpose behind any and all shifting in this day and age is for one great and glorious purpose: to prepare us for the return of our risen King.

Why Christmas in the End Times is So Meaningful

With Christmas only days away, many people are hustling to stores, buying ingredients galore to make cookies and other sweet treats, and most of all, preparing for the festivities planned with family and friends. Yet, as we draw nearer to Christ’s return, we can be certain that the days will be darker and the need for hope will only continue to grow. However, even in the middle of turbulence God’s faithfulness is still true and can be trusted.

What was so meaningful about the first Christmas was the fact that God had finally fulfilled His promise, even if in the strangest way possible by bringing a baby into the world to a teen girl in a manger. And today, what makes Christmas even more special is that as we see the signs of the end times creeping upon us, it is a reminder that God will be good and faithful to once again do as He said and return to His people.

Revelation 22:6 is a powerful verse of Scripture as it says: “The angel said to me, ‘These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must soon take place.'”

There are things that must happen. The wars and rumors of wars, the birth pangs, the coming of the Antichrist—everything must happen that was foretold. However, not only must they happen, but they will happen because God’s Word is faithful and true, and it never returns void. And while many of the things to come are painful and pressuring, it means we are getting closer to uniting with the One we love: Jesus.

Revelation 22:17 says, “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let him who hears say, ‘Come.’ Let him who is thirsty come. Let him who desires take the water of life freely.”

While we are living in a time where we see Israel under attack, the indoctrination of children growing more rampant and political divides continue to grow, we are also experiencing revivals, seeing people delivered from the demonic oppression and the gospel is reaching to the very ends of the earth. All of these events collectively point to the buildup for the greatest event still to come, and that’s the return of Christ for His bride, where we will forever experience the wonder of His presence and what it means to be filled with His living water.

So, even though it could be easy to reminisce about past Christmases and longing for what already has been, where we are headed, while difficult for a time, will bring about the deepest and most joyful day still to come. As we approach Christmas and remember the birth of the Savior, we can also, with great expectation and assurance, look to His return and an eternity with Him that will be more than anything we ever could have hoped for or imagined.

Steve Strang Responds to Mike Bickle’s Personal Statement Amid Investigation

On Dec. 12, Mike Bickle released his personal statement about the allegations that were brought against him back in October. On his most recent Strang Report, Stephen Strang discussed how Christians can prayerfully and wisely discern what is happening in the midst of this case.

Speaking through Larry Tomczak’s recent article “5 Ways We Should Respond to Mike Bickle’s Statement,” and the statement posted by Bickle, Strang brought clarity to the situation.

“These things are very complicated. I believe that this kind of thing is also a spiritual attack,” Strang says, as he encouraged audiences to look at the circumstance from all possible angles, including that the enemy may have plans to bring down the International House of Prayer Kansas City. “It’s something that the enemy would want to squash. To me, what’s happening is almost like a really, really nasty church split. And there are churches where people have gotten offended, tried to oust the pastor, brought charges either true or false, or in some cases, exaggerated, and tried to bring down a ministry. And I’m very, very concerned about that.”

Strang read through Bickle’s public statement which says:

To my Family and Friends,

With a very heavy heart I want to express how deeply grieved I am that my past sins have led to so much pain, confusion, and division in the body of Christ in this hour. I sadly0 admit that 20+ years ago, I sinned by engaging in inappropriate behavior—my moral failures were real. (I am not admitting to the more intense sexual activities that some are suggesting). I hate my sin and I see it as serious and grievous before a holy God. I take all sin seriously, so on those occasions I quickly and sincerely repented in a way that resulted in receiving assurance from God followed by a daily resolve to live holy in all of my ways. God graciously helped me to respond in those times with a broken and contrite heart that was filled with godly sorrow. To this day, I remain sorrowful about those past failures.

I am anguished that my past sins have caused great pain for my wife and family along with the IHOPKC family, and others. I am deeply sorry that my sin put the IHOPKC leadership and community in a very painful and difficult position. I asked my family for forgiveness. I now ask for forgiveness from the IHOPKC family and many in the body of Christ.

Some may wonder why I am just now making a public statement 20+ years later? It is because I was recently confronted about things that I said or did 20+ years ago—things I believed were dealt with and under the blood of Jesus. Since this has now become public, I want to repent publicly. On October 28, 2023, I wrote the first draft of this statement but at that very same time, false allegations of sexual abuse were being circulated against me. I was given legal advice to wait to make my statement public for several important reasons—including creating the misunderstanding that I was confessing to the false allegations that were circulating. I am very sorry that it took so long for this personal statement to come out. This delay created additional pain, anguish, division, and more for so many people that I love. I am deeply sorry for this.

Since late October terrible things have been written against me in various communications (blogs, articles, posts, etc.) that describe me and various sinful things that I allegedly did. There are many misrepresentations of my words and actions in these communications including statements that are out of context, greatly exaggerated, or blatantly false.

I ask that my family and friends do not defend me. I have confidence that the Lord will speak concerning what He sees and says about me in His timing. Please do not engage in debates on social media to defend me and please do not criticize those who are voicing their disdain for me. Please only speak blessing to them and about them (Matt. 5:44). In this way, we can minimize some of the divisiveness that the enemy has planned—and we can continue to stay focused on loving Jesus and one another. I am deeply committed to respond to those with complaints against me in the spirit of Psalm 18:35—both now and in the years to come. Some who are have spoken against me are friends (I will continue to view them as friends).

For an extended season, I will not engage in my public preaching ministry (conferences, social media, zooms, etc.)—I see this as God’s “delayed” loving discipline on my life (Heb. 12:6, 11). I will look to other leaders to determine how long this season will last—it may be long and it may even be permanent. I will only reengage in my public preaching ministry, if God confirms it through others. I am at peace with whatever He wants (2 Sam. 15:25-26). Jesus, I love and trust You!

I honor and love the IHOPKC community and will forever be grateful for them. They are a most remarkable people—they are truly marvelous comrades. I know the Lord is with them and that His favor and grace will continue to rest on them.

Pray for me, Diane, and my beloved family. They have expressed their love and support for me in extravagant ways. With much sorrow yet with prayerful confidence in God’s perfect leadership,

Mike Bickle

“I could tell that it was carefully crafted. And he is specifically saying that he was not guilty of a lot of the things he was accused of,” Strang says. “There are several things going on. We almost every day hear something a little different but apparently it will be investigated, it needs where there is sin, there needs to be repentance. And sometimes there needs to be discipline, particularly of Christian leaders, who the Bible very, very clearly says must live by a higher standard. But there have been attacks in our culture against people just to try to destroy them.”

For everyone involved in the situation and for those of us learning about what is going on, Strang points out a fundamental tenet of the Christian faith: “The whole essence of Christianity is forgiveness,” Strang says. “Everyone who’s been forgiven by Christ has done something they would not want on the front page of the Mike very clearly said that people shouldn’t defend him. Some people will see that I’m defending him. I’m not, I’m trying to bring clarity.”

Strang encourages viewers to think and pray for all of the people involved and to think critically about all of the questions that must be asked in these allegations. Above all, he asks that we remember that there is a real spiritual attack that is not of flesh and blood happening in the background that wants nothing more than to divide IHOPKC and the body of Christ.

Menorah Lighting Rejected from Art and Music Festival

Recently a Virginia rabbi’s request to perform a menorah lighting at a local art and music festival was denied.

Despite being in the middle of the Hanukkah season, the rabbi’s request was denied, according to Fox News, because the festival organization “does not permit religious celebrations.” However, this claim is largely different than the response that Rabbi Mendy Heber received in a private text message from the event organizer.

“Unless we could get an Islamic group to participate at the same. We are about Peace, Love & ‘t want to make it seem we’re choosing a side—supporting the killing/bombing of thousands of men, women & children,” the text message read.

This text clearly implied that the menorah lighting was considered to be a sign of support with Israel, which the event organizers did not want to show. However, Heber claimed that a proposed idea from the festival demonstrated a clear choosing of a side.

“They came back to us and said, ‘Hey, we would be ready with the proposal if we would have a cease-fire banner under the menorah,’ clearly taking a political side and welcoming the menorah under certain circumstances,” Heber said.

In a separate statement, the event founder, Shirley Vermillion said, “In 14 years this street festival has never had a religious program as one of its events. This is not a discriminatory act but one based on the objectives of the organization and the sincere desire to make this monthly event a place where all people can come together to enjoy music and art.”

There seems to be a discrepancy between the public reasoning against the menorah lighting and the private reasoning given to Heber as to why the lighting could not take place. Not showing support for American Jews because of something happening in another country seems harsh, regardless of the thought behind it.

As Christians, we must remember to never back down from having a heart for the Jewish people, the lineage in which our Savior descended from. When God first called Abram to make a great nation out of him, He said: “I will bless them who bless you and curse him who curses you, and in you all families of the earth will be blessed,” (Gen. 12:3). Because God’s Word is never void and never fails, His Word and His promise to the Jewish people today still holds true, now and forever.

Finding Hope: Celebrating Christmas Amid Crisis

For those who have been monitoring the war and destruction in Israel that first broke out with a devastating and violent attack from the Hamas terrorist group in October, the reports of the destruction have been nothing short of heartbreaking. As we enter into the Christmas season during this time of war and chaos, it can become easy to wonder where the hope and the light is to be found. Yet, even in the middle of war and destruction, God always provides a way.

One of the most famous verses from Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, which reads: “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” What most people don’t realize about this verse is the context in which it was given. It wasn’t given to a group of people who were in excellent condition. Instead, it was spoken to Israelites who were facing captivity from the Babylonians. While the false prophets wanted to tell them that this period of time would be quick, God spoke the hard truth to Jeremiah—His people would spend 70 years in Babylon.

This means there were Jews would spend the rest of their lives in this circumstance. Perhaps some who would only ever know this lifestyle and never experience freedom. And yet, God was promising a hope and a future to His people in the middle of what easily could have been seen as a time of complete desolation and isolation.

In this time of captivity, God told the people through Jeremiah that they should continue to go about life; they should build homes, plant gardens, eat well, marry and give their children in marriage. They were not supposed to forsake the purposes that God had for them in the middle of their waiting for freedom. The finish line would come when they would no longer be subject to Babylonian rule, but until that time, they were supposed to continue on with daily life.

Jeremiah 29:10 says: “For thus says the LORD: When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.”

The Lord was preparing His people for what ultimately was coming. The trials were still going to come because the world is still tainted by humanity’s fall for sin. However, He promised that this season of heartache would not last forever.

What is happening today in Israel is no doubt heartbreaking and showcases the absolute worst parts of humanity. As we see this war happen during the Christmas and Hanukkah season, we may think that God has abandoned His people. The good news is that He has not. His heart is still for them just as it was in the time of Jeremiah. Even in the middle of devastation, God still sees, hears and knows us. So, this year, as you continue to support the Israeli people in their time of need, remember to pray for God’s great plan to come to pass for His people that is for good and not evil.

Jonathan Cahn Reveals the End Times Hanukkah Mystery

In a recent video, Jonathan Cahn revealed the end times mystery of apostasy as it relates to Hanukkah.

“People have a picture that it’s going to be suddenly evil comes on the world as if the Antichrist just flew in from another world, turns everything upside down, takes over some evil government, comes into power. That’s not the way Hanukkah happened; it’s not the way it’s going to happen in the end times either. First, there will come an apostasy.” Cahn said.

Cahn first explained that what makes the Hanukkah menorah different than others is that it has nine lights instead of seven, including one in the middle which is meant to be the light assisting all the others by lighting them up, just as the Messiah is the light of the world.

“The lights of Hanukkah are the lights of dedication,” Cahn said. “In the Gospel of John it says something that most believers have seen but they don’t realize what it is and most Jewish people have no idea of it. It says in John 10: ‘And it was the Feast of Dedication, it was winter time in Jerusalem…’ And the Jewish people came around him and said, ‘how long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Messiah tell us plainly.'”

Cahn points out that this conversation happened during Hanukkah, making what Jesus said to the Jews His “Hanukkah words.”

“He said, ‘My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me.’ And He said, ‘I and My Father are One.'”

These words not only bring light and truth to the world today, but Cahn says that this light which Christ represents for those who seek Him can also help us to discern an end times apostasy that is currently all around us.

“Hanukkah, I share is the most detailed revelation of the end times of the holy days of Israel,” Cahn said. “Just one example, Hanukkah involves the account of Antiochus, this evil man who last who called himself Epiphanes, which means ‘God manifest…’ Antiochus is a foreshadow of the Antichrist and what happened in Hanukkah is a foreshadow of what’s going to happen in the end times, and what happened with the Maccabee’s is a key for how we are to live in the end times.”

Cahn points out that we can see the connection of Hanukkah and the end times through Daniel 11. He also says that the world will ultimately prepare for the arrival of the Antichrist.

“America’s and the world’s apostasy is going to prepare for the Antichrist,” Cahn said.

As the world sees Hanukkah from a different point of view this year with the ongoing devastation in Israel, it’s important that we see that the One who created the world is still in the midst of it now just as He always has been.

2023: The Year Jesus Went to the Movies

2023 was a breakthrough year for a lot of valuable, faith-based content to not only arrive at the theaters, but to completely captivate audiences with record-breaking charts. While many in the secular media may have been completely confused about what was happening, it’s apparent that God decided to pour out His Spirit in a new way.

The Chosen Season 3 Finale

The Chosen has been absolutely nothing short of a smashing success each time it has come to the box office. Last year’s Christmas special in the theaters not only brought in plenty of fans, but when the show announced that the last two episodes of the season would first be released in theaters, the number of people flocking to the Fathom Events website for tickets actually crashed the site. While many critics of the show have shared their concerns, it has not stopped Jenkins and his team from sharing the gospel through the largest crowd-funded show of all time.

Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist

The year began with the most recent “Left Behind” film that detailed the possibility of what life could be like for those who will be left behind after the rapture. The movie brought a thrilling depiction of the ultimate end times events which we undoubtedly are drawing closer to day after day.

Jesus Revolution

Perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the year was the box office success of “Jesus Revolution,” which documented the story of how Chuck Smith and Lonnie Frisbee reached out to the “hippie” generation which ultimately led to mass salvations and baptisms of young people, including the changed life of now pastor Greg Laurie. The film itself could not have been timed any better as its release came right around the time of the Asbury Revival where many college-aged students were finding freedom in Christ, spreading out to the community and even the nation.

Come Out in Jesus Name

Pastor Greg Locke, Apostle Alexander Pagani and the rest of the “demon slayers” shook theaters with their deliverance-based film, “Come Out in Jesus Name.” The film not only brought the truth of the gospel to people all over the U.S. who otherwise may have never heard about it, but the event also included a livestream deliverance session where people in theaters were being set free from the grips of darkness and miracles abounded. This was completely new territory for movie theaters; the Spirit of the Lord didn’t just stick to the church; He came to the people in the most unlikely of places—in front of the big screen.

The Domino Revival

Come Out in Jesus Name led the path for another movie focused on the Holy Spirit and deliverance to come out later in the year, and that was Mike Signorelli’s “The Domino Revival.” The movie shared the power of revival that is lit when the Holy Spirit is invited into the atmosphere. Just as ‘Come Out in Jesus Name’ paved the way for a livestream deliverance session, “The Domino Revival” also included a livestream time of prayer and an exciting takeover event in Times Square in New York City.

The Sound of Freedom

While not an explicitly Christian film, “The Sound of Freedom” connected with Christian audiences and those who were mortified to learn about the horrors of child trafficking. Racing to become the top film in America, “The Sound of Freedom” saw numerous critics accuse the film of being nothing more than a conspiracy theory. The heinous acts of child trafficking therefore were not only exposed by the film, but the denial of such things by major media was also exposed, too. The film insisted on the fact that we are all God’s children, and as His children these acts are completely unacceptable.

His Only Son

Another Angel Studios film depicted hard realities of what it means to do what God is calling you to do even if it doesn’t make any sense. David Helling’s masterpiece depicting Abraham’s three-day journey to Moriah to sacrifice his promised son, Isaac, which debuted during the Easter season, put this heartbreaking and powerful Bible narrative on full display for those who may have never heard Abraham’s story. Taking third at the box office, the film poignantly depicts what it means to trust God, and how much the Lord ultimately sacrificed when He gave up His only Son for the sake of the world.

The Blind

A hopeful story of restoration and beauty captured America’s attention as the true story behind Phil and Kay Robertson’s love story was displayed. Demonstrating grace and sacrificial love, the Duck Dynasty clan were able to use this time of familial brokenness to show that God can restore anything, and that there is nothing impossible for Him.

The Shift

As we wrap up and shift from 2023 to 2024, one more Angel Studios film is gracing the theaters. “The Shift” looks at what might be the most difficult story in the Bible for most of us to grasp—the story of Job. Just as we see these tough stories portrayed on the big screen, they also act as a way for us to see what faith in God can truly do when He is placed first above all else.

With these films that shared God’s hope, truth and goodness we can expect that God has not only entered the film industry, but that He is now using one of the darkest corners of society to transform our world for the glory of His kingdom.

Pastor Todd Coconato on Walking in Consecration and Anointing

Pastor Todd Coconato is stepping up to share with Christians what it means to walk in godly consecration and anointing that is pleasing to the Lord.

In a recent episode of the Strang Report podcast, Coconato urged Christians to spend time in the Word of God and seek out a life of consecration that is focused first and foremost on the mission that Jesus has for us as a remnant people in a time of mounting darkness.

“It’s the anointing that destroys the yoke of bondage,” Coconato said. “What are we dealing with? good portion of our country is in bondage and so we have the authority in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit to show people how to break those chains and have deliverance and healing and all the things that a lot of people have been afraid to talk about.”

It’s understanding this greater power of the Holy Spirit that Coconato is saying that we cannot back down from. It is by the Holy Spirit that we have the ability to overcome the problems we face in the world.

“We literally have the Holy Spirit living in our heart,” Coconato said. “The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That’s our body. We are the body of Christ, and so when someone lives in a way that pleases the Lord we actually, we’re not just hearers of the Word; we’re doers. So we’re people of action.”

Coconato says that as Christians live in a way that is satisfying and pleasing to God, He will ignite the gifts and the talents
He desires us to have, so long as we use those same gifts to glorify the Lord.

“God puts different talents and gifts and a calling and a passion and a fire in you,” Coconato said.

One of the keys to protecting this anointing, according to Coconato, is to not yoke yourself unequally with unbelievers.

“Don’t allow areas of compromise,” Coconato said. “You’re not involved in repetitive sin, you’re not yoking with unbelievers, you’re areas of darkness in your life. You’re guarding your life, you’re guarding your family, you’re guarding the ministry that the Lord has given you.”

Coconato learned that this type of consecration was critical for believers after an angelic visitation where he was in awe of an angel of the Lord who told him that believers needed to “come out from among them.” Coconato retells this miraculously incredible story in his new book, “Come Out From Among Them.”

“I was paralyzed with fear,” Coconato said. “I realized there was a peace that came on me. I believe it was the Holy Spirit and just let me know this is of me, this is not a demon, it’s not something evil, this is of the so the angelic being said two things: said come out from among them and said be consecrated.”

The 400-Year Wait for Christmas Had a Purpose

With Christmas right around the corner, it can be easy to jump right to the conclusion of singing about the great joy that has come to the world as we look at the lights and the festivities around us. And it is true—there is great joy to be found in knowing that the Savior of the world has come to save us from the great catastrophe of sin. What we can’t forget though, is the journey that it took to get there. The journey from the Old to the New Testament didn’t happen overnight. Instead, it took hundreds of years to go from one point to another.

From the end of Malachi to Matthew is equivalent to 400 years. To put it in perspective, America has not even been around for 300 years. Imagine trying to hold onto a promise for that long!

Often, we find ourselves trying to hold onto God’s promises, but we don’t have the patience to allow God to do what He needs to do. A time period of 400 years is definitely long enough to completely give up hope. Generations would have come and gone, Israelites holding onto the hope of Christ without seeing any of the results. It would seem that their faith would have been all but diminished.

But then Jesus came.

God fulfilled His promise, perhaps not in the timing that they would have wanted or expected, but He stayed true to His Word.

This time frame is merely a reflection of the Israelites’ freedom gained from 400 years of captivity in Egypt. God had said to Abraham that his descendants would experience this time period of slavery, but that they would be freed. Still, holding onto the promise that freedom was coming must have been much harder than any of them expected.

Genesis 15:13-16 is when God first gives Abraham (who was still Abram at the time) this word:

“The He said to Abram, ‘Know for certain that your descendants will live as strangers in a land that is not theirs, and they will be enslaved and mistreated for four hundred the fourth generation, your descendants will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.'”

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up to date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

What a hard thing that had to be for Abraham to hear. His descendants would spend hundreds of years in captivity before they would fully walk in the inheritance that God had for them as His chosen people. And yet, even in this very hard thing to hear, God still fulfilled His promise. God was still working things out during the hard season of the Israelites’ lives. How do we know this? Because the Lord told Abraham “the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” Before God would allow one thing to take place, another had to be completed. He has designed life to be a journey, a process that we must go through.

The Israelites saw their day of freedom. And while they still had a trek through the wilderness for 40 years, God was faithful to deliver them, just as He said He would.

In the same way, when the time was right, God fulfilled His promise once again, to bring the Messiah to the world. However, this promise was also fulfilled after another 400 years of silence. Yet, in this silence, God was still working. Empires rose and fell, the Greek language dominated, and Rome became a global power. It would seem that the most desperate hour had come for a Messiah; and so, He did.

In Malachi 3, the people are once again promised the coming of the messenger who would prepare the way (John the Baptist) for the Lord to come, and then the Lord would follow.

“I will send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. He is coming, says the LORD of Hosts,” (Mal. 3:1).

The 400 years of silence did not negate the promised Messiah. They were used to set the right circumstances in motion to create the scene in which the Savior could come in the perfect timing for His birth, life and death that would bring eternal hope to the entire world. While Jesus came to the world much differently than what was thought—to a virgin teenage girl and her fiancé in a stable—it does not change the fact that He came in God’s way, in God’s plan and timing.

So this Christmas, if you’re in the middle of trying to hold onto a promise, wondering where the promised breakthrough is, remember that God is still faithful even when things take longer than we expected.

2023: The Prophetic Events Leading Up to the Invasion on Israel

As 2023 wraps up, the questions could be asked: “Which prophetic words were fulfilled?” and “Which ones we should still be on the lookout to see what comes to pass?”

As the Lord would have it, the state of Israel was placed on the hearts of many, mere months before war broke out. There are also some key warnings that America must heed in light of the events that have come to pass in Israel. While we see the devastation and the chaos unfold overseas, here are some of the top prophetic words and events about the state of Israel from 2023.

Back in May, the International House of Prayer Kansas City spent a three-week initiative known as the Isaiah 62 fast committed to praying and fasting for the people of Israel. What is in Isaiah 62? Isaiah 62 focuses on the salvation and the promises that God has for Israel. While none of us could have known that just a few months later Israel would find themselves completely war-torn, this event in itself acted as a covering and a preparation for what would come, fixated completely on the biblical promise that God has not forsaken His people.

IHOPKC is not the only group that had Israel on their hearts. As Charisma magazine reported, Rabbi Kirt Schneider had a revelation back in July of what was coming for Israel.

“The Lord spoke to me in early July as I was up one morning doing my devotional reading from the book of Esther,” Schneider said. “It was like a bomb of revelation and prophecy filled me and dropped right into my heart, and instantly with no thought involved I knew that Jewish people were about to face the greatest attack that they had ever faced since the Holocaust.”

As we’ve seen in the news, Schneider’s words unfortunately came true on October 7. God revealed even more specifics to Schneider as he was shown how the media would betray Israel.

“The way that the media was going to portray it is that Israel was this terrible oppressor and tyrant and they were taking out a disproportionate revenge on those that had attacked them, and that the devil was going to use this to turn the whole world against Jews with an antisemitism that we have not witnessed since Nazi Germany,” Schneider said.

Amanda Grace of Ark of Grace Ministries also shared with Charisma magazine that God had previously shared with her a couple of years ago about an Ayatollah and a Dragon coming together with “the purse prize being the destruction of Israel.”

While Grace’s word spoke about the merging together of China and Iran to attack Israel, Grace provided an even larger, stark warning about the need to pray for Israel as the enemy in the spirit realm was ready to attack it. This need for prayer included peace for Israel, wisdom for Netanyahu during a difficult season ahead and for the covering of Israel from its enemies.

“Israel is in the middle of a hornet’s nest, there’s no doubt about this,” Grace said. “[Pray] that the enemies surrounding it, that the Lord puts a hedge of protection around them.”

Grace also acknowledged a coming war against Israel known as the “Ezekiel war.”

“It talks about in the end days an enormous army marching on Israel. It will be called the war of Ezekiel,” Grace said.

Other prophetic warnings about Israel also had implications for America’s future, including a warning from Chris Reed, as he had a dream that what had happened to Israel was coming to America. However, with Reed’s warning, America still has time to repent and find its way back to the plan and the purpose that God has for it.

“One of the first things obviously we can do, is we can pray against this,” Reed said. “The second thing that I knew that we could do, is as if we got everybody—if we got everybody, everywhere—to call their U.S. representatives, their senators and demand that Congress take action on the , developing, even bringing training into your churches of situation awareness,” Reed said.

As prophetic warnings and prayers were sent forward for Israel in 2023, America too must heed the warnings that connect it with Israel.
