What do you do when you find yourself in the middle of a completely devastating crisis? For Brenda Bravatty, hanging on to Jesus during the worst storm of her life brought her literal, physical healing. However, it was the spiritual assurance that God was still for her even when all hope was lost that she found true peace in her Savior’s presence.

Having a family history of pancreatic cancer, Bravatty took her physician’s advice and moved forward with genetic tests which showed she was at a high risk to also have the affliction. She later discovered that the pancreatic cancer had taken up residence in her body.

The cancer was detected early on, which is incredibly rare for pancreatic cancer.

“It’s a miracle,” Bravatty said in her exclusive Beyond the Article interview with Charisma Magazine Online.

Bravatty also said that this process of battling cancer has also been a time for her to see new and unusual ways that the Lord works.

“I have learned so many lessons,” Bravatty said. “I have seen how the Lord works through processes, and I have seen how the Lord works when you pray and sometimes the answer is no. You have to go through the process right.”

Bravatty ended up having the head of her pancreas, her gallbladder, part of an intestine and part of her stomach removed. This major surgery took a lot out of Bravatty, and it was her family and her spiritual community that helped pray and support her in the process.

“I went to my appointment and the doctor said, ‘okay, you have to go through chemo because the pancreatic cancer is just very aggressive,’” Bravatty said. “I just cried and cried and I [said] I don’t want to go through that because I have seen what my brothers with their process of chemotherapy.”

While it was incredibly difficult, Bravatty knew she had to embrace the difficulty of the process lying ahead of her.

“I surrendered to the Lord and I said, ‘Lord, if this is the road that you want me to go through, I will do it. You will be with me in the valley of darkness, in the valley of death, You will be with me. And I am willing to walk this even though it’s very painful, even though I don’t want [to], but here I am. And a great peace came over me and that was the beginning of really a great journey,” Bravatty said.  

It was soon after this acceptance that Jesus would be with her throughout the entire process—in the middle of the valley—that Bravatty had a miraculous encounter with God.

“It was very early in the morning, it was dark and I was praying…and I had a vision and I saw Jesus holding my hand,” Bravatty said. “I saw myself younger in that vision, and we were walking into the infusion, the chemotherapy area in the hospital. And peace came over me, joy came over me that He was walking with me in that area from that time on. Fear disappeared, sadness disappeared, my attitude toward the treatment changed. I started getting excited every time I went to the chemo sessions.”

Bravatty’s story is one of incredible faith as she chose to trust God in her greatest storm. It didn’t matter what things looked like in the moment; the only thing that mattered was that Jesus was walking right there with her through the entire process.

In a recent message, John Ramirez gave a warning for the spiritual battles that lay ahead of us in 2024.

“The Lord spoke to me regarding 2024. He says, ‘speak to My people. It’s not a happy message; it’s a preparation message,'” Ramirez said. “The watchmen on the wall will sound the shofar to sign the trumpet to let them know your enemy is coming.”

Ramirez says that it is this knowledge that can help God’s people prepare for the turmoil up ahead.

“If you’ve been told how the enemy is coming then he won’t catch you off guard,” Ramirez said. “The Lord said, ‘Regarding 2024, what’s coming to the church in 2024—it’s going to be year of attacks like never seen My people that the attacks is not over your mind; it’s going to be over your heart.'”

Ramirez warns that because this year will include attacks over the heart, there will be many who leave the faith, and that some will join cults to chase after mystical beliefs.

“Many will backslide, many will leave the faith and many would join a cult in mystical practices,” Ramirez said. “The Lord said, ‘They will join a cult and follow mystical beliefs.'”

Ramirez warns that if the devil has the opportunity to get in your heart and sway you away from the Lord, then it solidifies that you cannot receive what the Lord has for you because your heart is not open to His presence and lordship.

“You will not have, you will not receive and you will not walk in the things of the kingdom,” Ramirez warned. “There will be sicknesses coming, there will be heart issues churches will be closed next year.”

Ramirez says the churches closing will be because of God’s coming judgment upon them for preaching and teaching false doctrines, and we must be careful not to grieve the Holy Spirit. Instead, it is our jobs to have a grateful heart in all circumstances.

“Let me give you the password that’s going to get you an open heaven,” Ramirez said. “Thank you.”

It is giving thanks to God no matter what we may be feeling, no matter what we may be experiencing—that is the key to a grateful heart connected with the Lord at all times. Ramirez reminds us that instead of complaining about the storms we find ourselves in, we are called to give God thanks at all times that He is with us even in the storm. It is God’s presence with us in the valley that makes the difference. However, many times we find ourselves in a spot of complaint and murmuring because we forget to praise God for being right there with us through it all.

“You can pray all you want, but if you got [a] dark heart, you got poison in your heart, you got bitterness in your heart, you can pray all you want, heaven ain’t going to open,” Ramirez said.

This thankfulness is not only the key to seeing heaven move, but it is the key to destroying Satan’s attacks that he has planned against your heart.

“The devil’s plan is to harden your heart,” Ramirez said. “If the devil hardens your heart in 2024 you will have short memory of the good things that God has done for you. You will have short memories of the good things that God has done for you. Like the Israelites—God did miracles, signs and wonders to these people and they had a short memory and they always complain, always murmur and they always point the finger at God. And the devil’s plan is to take the church in 2024 to harden your heart because if he can harden your heart and then attack your mind, it will make you forget all the good things that God has done for you.”

This word is one to wisely keep in mind to use as a personal reflection: how often are we thanking God for the good things that He’s done for us compared to the number of times we complain about what hasn’t gone our way? Instead of falling into the devil’s traps, we need to seek out this year to guard our hearts above all else because everything we do flows from it (Prov. 4:23).

The challenge to read the Bible in a month is a fantastic feat, but not impossible. Locke figured out that by reading 39 chapters a day, the entire Bible could be read in 31 days. While this may sound like a lot, Locke is so passionate about people knowing Scripture that he has been reading the Bible as long as he can while livestreaming it each day on YouTube so people around the world can listen to the truth of God’s Word.

What would possess someone to sit and read the Bible as long as they can every single day in front of a camera? There’s a dying world out there so desperate and hungry for Jesus, and there is no greater way to get to know Him than by staying in His presence with His words. After all, Jesus is the Word. It is through this Word that we have the fullness of life, and only through Him can we have springs of living water. Psalm 16:11 says, “in Your presence is fullness of joy.” This fullness of joy becomes alive in us when we learn more about the character of God in His Word.

Instead of spending day after day crying out to the Lord without interacting with Him, imagine what it would be like if we took the moment to sit and get to know Him through His Word. Perhaps if other churches and individuals accepted this challenge to dive into the Bible in one month’s time, Christians around the world would have a reignited heart for Jesus as their first and primary love.

Taylor Swift may be wondering about her “reputation” after “Sound of Freedom” beat her Eras Tour film for the number 10 spot of 2023.

“Sound of Freedom” shocked many as it became the breakthrough summer blockbuster. While many in the media tried to conjure up theories about why the film was doing so well, including by labeling it as a QAnon conspiracy movie, the Angel Studios film reached the number 10 top spot for highest-grossing movies of the year.

As The Christian Post reported, “Sound of Freedom” brought in more than $184 million in ticket sales. Swift’s ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ brought in $179.6 million in movie sales.

The “Sound of Freedom” highlighted the truth of child trafficking and the horrors that children trapped in this form of slavery experience. For those who saw the film, it resonated deeply with them. As the film soared to become the number one movie of the summer, it’s no surprise that it would land on the top 10 film lists of 2023.

While it’s undeniable that Taylor Swift is an icon to many, including many young girls in their teens and twenties, the lingering, dark message behind her music is starting to become noticed more and more by Christians.

Earlier this year Swift’s song ‘Karma’ described karma as a god, and a boyfriend of hers. In the music video she is also seen as a golden goddess. There’s even a scene of her in a demonic, diabolical land that showcases women in horrifying masks around her. In the past she’s also mocked Christians with her song ‘You Need to Calm Down,’ targeting those against LGBTQ unions.

As these outright demonic acts have been noticed, Swift’s own glorification has grown during her Eras Tour. In fact, Rio de Janeiro ended up illuminating the Christ the Redeemer statue in her honor to look like her famous t-shirt from her ‘You Belong With Me’ music video.

While “Sound of Freedom” is not an outright, explicitly Christian film, it highlights genuine truths about how God intended for us as humans to be treated and the malicious ways Satan tries to attack the fact that we are made in God’s image. It’s stories like these that have a deeper meaning and impact on us as people. Instead of quickly jumping to support celebrities simply because they have a platform, we must use wisdom and discernment about the content we are consuming as our eyes and ears are the gates to our souls.

In a brand-new Beyond the Article interview with Charisma Magazine Online, Dr. Don Colbert shared the secrets for long and healthy living that may come as a shock to some.

One of the key tenets that Colbert discussed were the problems surrounding gut issues.

“We find most autoimmune disease begins in the gut, and we’re seeing so many gut issues,” Colbert said.

Colbert says the first place where most gut issues come from is prescriptions.

“Doctors prescribe a lot of medications that affect the gut, like antibiotics kill off the good bacteria,” Colbert says. “Anti-inflammatory meds for arthritis create leaky gut and ulcers and gastritis as well as proton pump inhibitors and acid block emit create bacterial overgrowth in the small intestines where bacteria should not be present.”

Colbert has detailed the keys on how to successfully execute healthy lifestyle patterns and gut health in his latest book, Dr. Colbert’s Health Zone Essentials, which uses the best of his ‘Zone’ series books. The book, which highlights some of the same topics as Colbert’s January feature Charisma Magazine Online article, provides understanding and information for fiber intake, and the power of pre and probiotics, something he discussed in more depth during his interview.

“Fermented foods have lots of probiotics in them, and the probiotics help to support the immune system, and they literally help to train our immune system” Colbert says. “God’s put these powerful foods on the grocery shelves, yet most people are not eating these powerful foods. They’re eating foods high in sugar and high in saturated fats and high in the processed and refined carbs and trans fats and all these bad fats, and as a result it’s hurting our immune system.”

Colbert believes that it is by sticking with foods that have the power to boost our immune system we ultimately see happier and healthier guts.

“When we can start to repair and restore our immune system by eating probiotic foods or taking probiotics and prebiotics and resistant starches and polyphenols as well as fibers, which fibers help feed the good bacteria as do prebiotics. So, all of these together help to restore the GI track which is the gut,” Colbert says.

Colbert also shares how focus on the brain is key for a greater, healthy living. For those who want to focus on losing weight or for more dynamic brain functioning, Colbert encourages viewers to attempt intermittent fasting.

“For those who need to lose weight of for those who want to protect their brains, there’s hardly anything more powerful than intermittent fasting,” Colbert says. “When you practice intermittent fasting you not only burn off excess fat, you lower your sugar, you lower your insulin levels, you start to decrease your hemoglobin, A1c, and you start to reverse pre-diabetes and even diabetes.” While many are starting the new year off with aspirations to change their lifestyles around, it’s important to remember that it’s not the fad trends that will make the difference, but rather the positive, long-term ones that will bring about lasting change.

In a brand-new video discussing what is in store for 2024, Dutch Sheets shared the great implications of what this season means for America and for the world. He specifically pointed out that three nations in particular—which can be identified as the dragon, bear and lion—will look at America’s current condition as an opportunity to take advantage of the nation.

“Great unrest will continue and increase here in America and throughout the world,” Sheets said. “The dragon, the bear and the lion, that would be Russia, China and Iran will continue their attempts to gain influence, seeing America’s weakness under Biden as their opportunity. They realize this opportunity may not last long and will try to make the most of it. A weakened America means strengthened evil.”

This prophecy in particular shadows what The Most Important News pointed out about clear end times events, such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Iran’s pull in Middle Eastern conflicts, China’s gravitation toward “reunification” with Taiwan, and even the president’s response to military actions around the world.

2024 will be as Sheets called a “historic” year of great shaking, but what will take place will serve a greater purpose.

“This year will be highly productive, but very tumultuous,” Sheets said. “Incredibly fruitful, yet greatly challenging. It’ll be a year of coming together and a year of great separation. It will awaken the warrior and expose the fearful. A clear line is being drawn between good and evil, removing what once seemed like safe middle ground.”

Sheets believes 2024 will also be a time for God’s vengeance and righteous judgment to be made against His enemies.

“I believe this will begin one of Satan’s greatest times of frustration in all of history,” Sheets said. “In 2024, some of God’s judgments against His enemies will occur openly and be recognized as undeniably from Him, like Pharaoh who hardened his heart to the point of being irredeemable, many have done so today. God will make examples of some. government shakeups will also continue throughout the world as have occurred in Argentina and the Netherlands, but our prayers, the prevailing prayers of the church, the ekklesia, have accomplished much.”

More than dire warnings for the national and international affairs that we will see shift, Sheets also prophesied that 2024 would be the year where many churches that have not ran after the presence of the Holy Spirit would finally receive wisdom and revelation of who He truly is.

“Churches and Christian organizations that have rejected elements of Holy Spirit’s activities will receive revelation and understanding of Him. As a result, they will invite the Holy Spirit into their midst and He will come. Many who have not been open to the supernatural will welcome it. Many who have not known His voice will cry out to hear it.”

Part of this invitation to allow the Holy Spirit to flow into our churches and organizations will also expose the difference between religiosity and the fresh fire of heaven that only the Holy Spirit can give.

“Presence and power will manifest together, overcoming forms of godliness without power, absence of first love passion and lukewarmness. Much of what was seen as order will be recognized as man’s control, religious routine. Holy Spirit’s fire will be sought and given, and the results will be explosive,” Sheets said.

As we seek the righteousness of God this year, let us not forget that it is Him and Him alone that will guide us through the good and the bad; only the Holy Spirit can give us comfort and peace regardless of what is happening around us.

In a new video, apostle Alexander Pagani is calling out half the church for their hypocrisy, saying that at least half of them will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Pagani’s first point that the church must take note of is that there is “kingdom arithmetic” that must be calculated. Pagani says that when you start to investigate Scripture, you see how it is guaranteed that not all people will enter into the kingdom of heaven.

“Heaven has a definitive number of who’s saved and who’s not saved,” Pagani says in reference to names being blotted out from the Book of Life. “There is a numeric registration that is consistently being updated.”

The second point that Pagani makes is that the numbers of those who do and do not make it in to heaven, including among those who have seemed to be faithful, is also found in Scripture. Pagani explains this concept is by using the example of the 10 virgins described in Scripture, five of which missed the groom and the other five who did not.

“You got 10 virgins. Five were wise, five were foolish. The text lets us know that the five that were foolish get cast out into outer darkness,” Pagani says. “So there’s 10 virgins, not five virgins and five guests, no 10 virgins; see how this means half the church in the end doesn’t make it.”

The next point that Pagani makes about the church utilized the story of talents and how the one who did not sow and harvest the talent was considered lazy and wicked, cast into darkness. This was to make the point that just as one of the three who were commissioned in the story did not do as their master asked, so too there are those in ministry who also will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

“A third of the people in ministry don’t make it, so half the church doesn’t make it and within that group a third of those in ministry—they don’t make it,” Pagani says.

The fourth point comes from 2 Peter 1:10 which reads: “Therefore, brothers, diligently make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.”

“Do you see what’s going on here?” Pagani asks. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. So, it’s not just ‘I repented of my sin’…that’s how it starts; that’s not how it ends.”

Pagani says that this isn’t about having a works-based mentality of salvation, but rather that it is because of your salvation through faith that you want to do your works for the Lord. Our job as believers is to do our work unto the Lord, and not for our own personal glory and gain.

“As you believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross, Christ crucified, the subsequent response to that is a born again, regenerative spirit that causes you to carry out your faith,” Pagani says.

Pagani points out that there should be no fear in talking about the fact that faith without works is dead. Instead, he makes it clear that he will boldly preach the truth.

“I’m afraid that this once saved, always saved to some, not all, is producing a justification of a laxed, comfortable ain’t going to hell for nobody,” Pagani says.

And for the fifth point, Pagani says that you have to add to your faith, using 2 Peter 1:5-8, which says, “make every effort to add virtue to your faith; and to your virtue, knowledge; and to your knowledge, if these things reside in you and abound, they ensure that you will neither be useless nor unfruitful…”

“So it’s not just the normal Christian stuff that we’re supposed to do,” Pagani says. “There’s certain things that you have to add to your faith which means you have to deal with mathematics still. Why? Because heaven is judging your analytics.”

Pagani’s warning comes after a previous message to his fellow social media followers to make sure they are not just seeking out the next Christian trend, but rather are seeking Christ with their entire heart. This message is a call to believers everywhere to evaluate their faith to see if they are truly following Jesus or if they have fallen trap to the deadly message of a lukewarm church.

In a podcast with other pastoral members of his V1 Church in New York, Pastor Mike Signorelli shared what season he believes the Lord is placing many in 2024.

One of the first things Signorelli discussed in the podcast was how the previous season of 2023 was a time when false prophets could look as though they too were just as accurate as true prophets. However, in this new season, it is the prophets who are accurate and contrite before the Lord that will make the difference because we are in a season where God is about to birth new things.

“We are in a birthing season,” Signorelli says. “And when a woman is travailing and they’re getting ready to push that baby out, there is going to be tears, there’s going to be blood and there’s going to be water.”

Part of what is being birthed in this new year, Signorelli says, is a desire for God’s face and His righteousness.

“The Lord told me that [in] 2024 you are going to see a wave of hunger and thirst for righteousness and holiness over the body of Christ,” Signorelli says.

This year will be a time not only of seeing God’s holiness, but of seeing shame be put to death because God will vindicate those who stood their ground and followed Him because they loved Him and desired to seek after Him with their whole hearts.

“2024 is going to be the year that the Lord proves that you were right,” Signorelli says. “You are right because you are righteous; you are right because you sided with the Lord. You are right because you chose the right team.”

This means that not only will this year be a time of restoration, but it will also be one where God is setting up tables for His children, for His plans and purposes to be made clear, and through that process, the character and the nature of the Lord will become much deeper and more meaningful to those who care and love Him.

“I believe that 2024 is the pivot, it’s the reversal, it’s the turnaround, it’s the flip, there’s something about that where the things that were not visible will become visible,” Signorelli says. “You’re about to transition from waiting for your purpose to waiting for Him. Waiting for your destiny; you would say, ‘Lord, I wait for You now. I wait for nothing else. I wait for You. I only wait for You.’ And then the Lord says, ‘You’ve learned the ways of your family, but now you will learn My ways’…2024 is going to be a kingdom education,” Signorelli says.

Part of this prophecy that Signorelli and the other V1 Church leaders discussed speaks specifically to the women within the body of Christ. This year will be a year that they learn not just what it means to be valued because of the things they do, but rather it will be a time of renewal as they see themselves as valued simply because they are daughters of Christ. Even more, Signorelli and the V1 Church leaders described how this year would also be a time for the gospel to reach “illegal” places like China, North Korea and in Muslim nations.

“The Lord told me that it’s going to go into illegal regions and He says, ‘it will be interpreted and we will get testimonies in communist nations,'” Signorelli says. “I see North Korea, I see China, I see Muslim nations.”

As we enter into this new season, one thing is clear: no matter what good or bad circumstances we encounter in 2024, if we seek after the face of God and His righteousness, we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

While seeking out what the Lord wanted to say about 2024, Jennifer LeClaire was led to read in the book of Nehemiah. It was here that she noticed three different times where the Scripture says that the enemy burned down the gates.

“He said, ‘the enemy is trying to burn down the gates,'” LeClaire says of this revelation. “Now, in ancient times, this was literal, but now the Lord is speaking symbolically, figuratively. The enemy is targeting gates at all levels of society. It’s not just borders. It’s the seven mountains. And this is not a new strategy, clearly, but it is escalated because the Lord showed me the enemy is no longer interested in merely coming through the gates. He wants to burn them down completely.”

LeClaire says that this target means it is especially critical that those who are called to be watchmen on the wall, and as gatekeepers through intercession and prophecy, must be alert of what is going on. She also says it is key for the church as a whole to stay connected to Christ and alert for what may come.

“Now we know the Lord will raise up a standard as the intercessors pray, but we need to understand not just what the Lord wants to do, but how the enemy is moving against God’s will so that we’re positioned rightly for this era of war,” LeClaire says.

LeClaire says that it is the enemy’s goal to transform our society with his darkness instead of light.

“He wants to see idolatry and immorality prevail in cities and nations. God wants to bring revival,” LeClaire says. “The church in general must remember—we must remember—that the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church. We must not allow the spiritual pressure that we’re feeling.”

LeClaire says that by giving in to the spiritual pressure that the enemy wants to place on us, we become deterred from praying and seeking God to do the great and mighty things that He has planned to do. It is Satan’s goal to get us to lay down our weapons of warfare. She says it is at the gates that those with authority typically are—administrators of justice like judges and offices. It is at the gates where prophets declared the power of the Lord, and so it is this spot the enemy seeks to attack.

“The gates are where councils are held. The gates are where prophets proclaimed the messages of the enemy wants to burn down the gates,” LeClaire says.

LeClaire says that as we move forward those who are called to be watchmen must partner with those who are called to be gatekeepers in order to thwart all advances of the enemy.

“Watchmen must partner with gatekeepers at a higher level. We’ve seen for many years the watchmen on the wall, the gatekeepers guarding access; we need a new level of cooperation, a sharing of prophetic intelligence, praying together between the watchmen intercessors, the watchmen prophets and the gatekeeper intercessors,” LeClaire says. “The watchmen see from far off; the gatekeeper has a different perspective because the gatekeeper’s job is to guard the gate. So, we need the watchmen and the gatekeepers to really connect with one the avenue of worship and prayer that’s going to prevent the enemy from burning down these gates.”

As we head into 2024, we should seek the Lord diligently, listening for what He wants us to know, how to pray against the enemy’s tactics and how we can shine the light of Christ to the darkest places.

In his brand-new Charisma Magazine Online article, Ben Rall is sharing from his years of experience as a chiropractor—and as a Christian—how essential it is for us to not only take care of our bodies but to seek out medical advice and experience from a more holistic perspective than the typical, prescription-induced climate that has infiltrated the American health field.

“In many ways, today’s ‘healthcare’ model has become an idol like the golden calves of Bible times,” Rall writes. “Today’s fertility gods are OB-GYNs. We use potions and spells in the forms of labels, diagnoses and drugs. We often look first to man, but only as a last resort do we then turn to God.”

It is in this current climate that many people look to doctors as healers instead of turning to God. While God can and does use those in the medical field to help provide care and even save lives, Rall shares that our dependency on physicians to give us drugs to heal us while we continue to live unhealthy lifestyles is far from the best that God has for us. Instead, we are to cherish and nurture the bodies God has given us the best we can.

“In many ways, our poor stewardship has been that slippery slope of cultural influence in over four hours a day on social media, we are more sedentary than ever, we are more stressed than ever, we often eat more processed and unhealthy food, many people are taking multiple prescription drugs daily,” Rall writes.

During his exclusive “Beyond the Article” interview with Charisma Magazine, Rall discusses how prioritizing the time and the ability to take care of ourselves is critical.

“There is not a requirement but an opportunity to serve God through caring for the bodies He gave us,” Rall says. “I mean, this is the one thing that’s created in His likeness and image. … this is a big deal, and so we’re called to steward it, and so a lot of times what we do is we don’t steward it.”

Caring for the bodies God gave us is not just about doing something for our own vainglory, but rather it is about treasuring the very things we have received. Rall says lifestyle affects even areas such as suicide rates, diseases and life expectancy. For Christians, Rall believes that getting in a good lifestyle rhythm is something they can take authority over to live an active and fit life.

“Sometimes we just make these excuses,” Rall says. “As [the] body of Christ, you know, the church, it’s kind of embarrassing, like if I was from the outside looking in, I’d say, ‘You guys are kind of ridiculous.” … We’re not believing what we say we believe in so many ways, so our foundation is not as solid on the rock as we say it is.”

As we connect with God through our spirits, it’s important to remember that it is also through our physical bodies that we can glorify God as we steward them properly.
