Was Jack Hibbs’ Prayer at the U.S. House a Judgment Day Warning?

There’s nothing that will make a politician more squeamish than a prayer for national repentance. And that is exactly what happened when Pastor Jack Hibbs prayed before the U.S. House of Representatives.

After being endorsed as a guest chaplain by House Speaker Mike Johnson, Hibbs’ appearance at the U.S. House of Representatives proved how necessary prayer is for the collective sins of our nation, and for individual salvation.

“I ask you today Father to bring to us a great awakening of righteousness and confidence in you,” Hibbs said. “Hear my cry in this hour of great need, that we might be humbly blessed before you in the repentance of our national sins.”

Hibbs didn’t stop by praying for the sins of the nation. He continued by asking God for something most people would never dare to ask for: Fear of the Lord as our impending judgment day comes.

“Please, come upon those here who are the stewards over the business of our nation with Your with Your holy fear knowing that your coming day of judgment draws near, when all who have been and are now in the authority will answer to you, the great judge of heaven and of earth,” Hibbs prayed.

While this prayer for the holy fear of the Lord may be accepted by some, not all were thrilled with Hibbs’ invitation to the House.

As the Christian Post reported, House Democrats wrote a letter expressing their concerns about Hibbs’ ideological beliefs.

“Pastor Hibbs is a radical Christian Nationalist who helped fuel the January 6th insurrection and has a long record of spewing hateful vitriol toward non-Christians, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ community,” the letter read. “He should never have been granted the right to deliver the House’s opening prayer on January 30, 2024.”

While Hibbs’ prayer of repentance and the coming judgment day may be uncomfortable for some, this does not change the reality that all of us will face God one day to give an account for the things that we did during this life (Rom. 14:12). The prayer is more of a prophetic warning and intercession that those who have not come to Christ would do so before their time on this earth ends.

Speaker Mike Johnson’s decision to invite Hibbs echoes Kent Christmas’ prophecy from last year where he prophesied that “They will allow a Spirit-filled, Holy Ghost, tongue-talking preacher to open Congress.” We must stay tuned to see how God continues to use Hibbs’ prayer and Johnson as Speaker of the House in the coming days and months.

Is This AI System Picking Sides in the Israel-Palestine Conflict?

Google’s Gemini continues to face the heat when it comes to the type of content the AI text generator is producing.

As Google faces backlash for Gemini’s racially charged programming, progressive agenda flaws continue to be found in the system, including antisemitism.

While Gemini would not create any images of people with white skin, including former leaders of the U.S. such as George Washington, the AI platform appears to also have been programmed with some blatant anti-Semitic principles behind it.

As The Daily Wire reported, conservative defense attorney Marina Medvin discovered the hostility toward the Israeli people when she used Gemini.

Under the topic “Proportionality,” this is the response that Gemini gave about the Israel-Palestine war:

“The number of Palestinian attacks against settlers is significantly lower compared to settler violence against Palestinians, according to various sources like the UN and B’Tselem.”

Under the topic of “Magnitude and frequency,” Gemini also claimed that Palestinian attacks “differ significantly from settler violence.”

In Medvin’s screenshot, Gemini further said that while there have been attacks from Palestinians on the Israeli people that should be condemned, it believed that “it’s important to be accurate and avoid generalizations when discussing violence in a complex conflict…”

Gemini’s tiptoeing around the reality of what is happening in Israel only got worse as Medvin continued her search on the platform.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

When answering the question “Did Israeli settlers participate in violence against Palestinians?” Gemini responded with the answer that hundreds of cases have been reported, including “physical assaults, property damage and arson.”

Yet, when the question was posed, “Did Palestinians participate in violence against Israeli settlers?” The response was vague, incorporated with the line: “It’s important to present a balanced and objective perspective.”

The fact that AI has been programmed according to political agendas is a terrifying prospect. Christians must think critically about its use and how to cross-reference it with other materials when completing their research. Yet, AI in itself should not be completely discounted.

In an interview with CBN News, lead Barna Group researcher Ashley Ekmay said a large number of pastors were found to believe that “God can work through AI.”

Just as Gutenberg’s printing press helped to take the Word of God to the entire world to read the Bible and the internet further expedited that mission, there’s no reason why AI cannot also be used for constructive and positive purposes.

Instead of being fearful of the future, Christians are called to rely on God who gives us strength. Psalm 27:1 tells us: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom will I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom will I be afraid?”

At the end of the day, if God is with us, who can truly be against us?

Fraud and Extortion Trial for ‘Bling Bishop’ Lamor Whitehead Begins

The trial for the ‘bling bishop,’ Lamor Miller-Whitehead has begun.

In 2022, Miller-Whitehead was arrested for allegedly scamming one his parishioners. Miller-Whitehead had reportedly lied to his congregants about “having the key to the city” from New York City’s Mayor, Eric Adams.

Miller-Whitehead, 47, was previously charged with two counts of wire fraud, one for extortion and one for lying to the FBI. Miller-Whitehead is accused of targeting an elderly parishioner for giving him $90,000 of her life savings, according to the New York Daily News.

As NBC New York reported, prosecutor Jessica Greenwood’s opening statement claims that Miller-Whitehead “lied about how much money he had and his influence.” Greenwood also said, “He’d lie, cheat and steal to keep up with that appearance of wealth.”

One of the ploys of stealing from the elderly parishioner, according to Greenwood, was that he “promised to use the money to buy a fixer-upper home that he would renovate for her to live in.”

Miller-Whitehead has also been accused of creating a fake bank statement to gain a $250,000 loan. The account, which was believed to have millions of dollars in it, held a balance of less than $6.

These are not the only accusations against Miller-Whitehead, as he was also accused of trying to obtain $500,000 from a businessman. The claim was that Miller-White could use his influential connections, including with Adams, to help give him a stake in real estate.

Miller-Whitehead previously pleaded not guilty and was freed after posting $500,000 bail following his 2022 arrest. Before that initial arrest, Miller-Whitehead was robbed at gunpoint where $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen, and the incident was caught on a livestream.

Three Biblical Points of Suspense Leading to the Messiah

Everything that we see happening around us in the world today, is the build up of a suspense to something greater.

From Genesis through Revelation, every single biblical story and prophecy, fulfilled and unfulfilled, shows an incline, a build up to something greater, with the ultimate fulfillment of God’s eternal covenant with His people forever.

In a recent message, Amir Tsarfati described how this global suspense has been building since the very beginning of time, and that it speaks to the permanent reunification of God with His people. Through these signs, we can be aware of what has already been done, and where we are headed as we lean in toward the ultimate conclusion, the return of the Messiah to His people.

  • There was a suspense between God and Satan.

Before the creation of the world, there was a suspense surrounding God and Satan with a prophetic implication of how Satan would end.

“It started with Satan, in Genesis chapter three,” Tsarfati said. “Because the first ever Bible prophecy given to anyone was actually to him about him.”

In Genesis 3:14-15 God tells Satan as the serpent that he would have a cursed life and that he would be made an enemy with the offspring of the woman and that He, meaning Jesus, would trample upon Satan, bruising him forever. It is this one seed, Christ, who would come and make all nations blessed. It is through Jesus that Satan would forever be defeated.

  • There was a suspense when God called Abraham.

When God promised Abraham that He would turn Him into a great nation, suspense was building up because it was through Abraham that Israel would come about, and through Israel, Jesus. However, God would do this through a supernatural, miraculous way.

God decided to being His nation through the most peculiar way possible—by giving a child to Abraham at 100 years old, and his wife, Sarah, at 90. God could have made them parents much earlier, but by giving them the promised child when He did, He was showing that He was the Lord, and that for Him nothing is impossible. It was from this miraculous lineage that the Messiah would come.

“After Isaac comes Jacob, and from Jacob comes the nation of Israel,” Tsarfati said. “And now there is that same suspense, that same suspense regarding that seed…that is going to come and do what? And crush the head of Satan.”

  • The nation of Israel awaited in suspense for their Messiah.

It is impossible to see the Jewish people as unconnected to Christ. It is through the Jewish people that God promised and delivered His very own Son. It is the children of Israel that are His chosen people, and it is Jesus Christ that all of the Scriptures cling to.

“Messiah and Israel are one. He had to come from them,” Tsarfati said. “He had to come to them, He will return for them. All of that is together, this whole nation, was the way for God to bring Him to the world.”

As we look at these three points of biblical suspense we can see that God has been writing a beautiful even if strange story of a people who He would use for the purpose of bringing a savior that could defeat darkness for all eternity.

Jonathan Cahn Unveils The Cat in the Hat Principle

What does a Dr. Seuss story have to do with the kingdom of God?

There’s no question that Dr. Seuss’ stories transformed the world, sharing creativity and values with families for decades that are worth passing along to their children. But what similarity does Seuss’ classic ‘The Cat in the Hat’ have to do with the kingdom of God?

Just as the child main characters in ‘The Cat in the Hat’ get into mischief with the cat in the hat while their mother is away in the story, so too have God’s children dug into our own humanity and followed our free will toward sin while our master, Jesus, is away.

“You can apply this to the very beginning of creation, it goes back to the Garden,” Rabbi Jonathan Cahn says.

Before God left Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He told them one thing not to do, which was to eat off of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Yet, even though God gave them this command, the two disobeyed Him during His absence.

It is this very principle that both ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and the Bible expose; in our human nature, with our free will, we gravitate toward doing that which we know is wrong during our master’s absence. When the person in charge of us is gone, it is human nature to choose to do what is evil. It is in the time when the master is quiet, seemingly out of the picture, that we make our choice for either good or evil.

“You cannot choose heaven in heaven,” Cahn says. “You can only choose it now. That’s the only time you have a choice.”

Cahn says that biblical principle relates back to both what happened with the Israelites when Moses went up to Mount Sinai, and how it prophetically aligns with how the church is acting in our current times.

While Moses went up to Mount Sinai to be with God, the people became impatient and created a golden calf to worship in their leader’s absence. In the same way, ever since Jesus ascended to heaven, Christians have found themselves turning away from the truth of the gospel to follow after their own worldly desires and idols.

The turning away from the truth of God’s Word is so prevalent in today’s world that we even see it from the pope himself.

“In the last few days, the pope called for a reinterpretation of the gospels and a new theology,” Cahn says. “based on, he said, ‘popular common sense…’ and often not corresponding to the Christian face of God.”

In the face of this turning away from good for evil, what can Christians do?

Those who love the Lord must stick close to His Word, remembering the parable of the master and the servants; it is our duty to stay on task because at any moment, our Master may return. The truth is, whether Jesus returns during your own lifetime or after, each of us will have a face-to-face moment with Him where we are held accountable to Him as the master and Lord of all. He will either reward each person as the faithful servant, or cast them out as wicked person whom He never knew. The choice for what we want to receive in our eternal life is dependent upon what we do here during this blink of a lifetime.

“You’ve got to be like Moses in Egypt, Daniel in Babylon, Paul in Rome,” Cahn says. “You’ve got to become independent of the world…you cannot be a light to the world if you’re of the world.”

The signs of our ultimate Master’s return are all around us. The question is: will we choose to prepare for His return, or will we fall away to the whims of this world?

2024 Prophecies: What Do the Lion, Bear and Dragon Have in Common with Goliath?

In the midst of prophecies that have been spoken from different Christian commentators, apostles and prophets, it can be hard to discern what exactly we should listen to. But what if two separate words have a very similar connection and phrasing?

In a word given at the beginning of the year, Dutch Sheets said that this year would be the year of “The dragon, the bear and the lion.” In his description, each of these animals were representative of a different nation, specifically Russia, China and Iran. This word was a warning that these nations would be watching America and Biden’s leadership.

“They realize this opportunity may not last long and will try to make the most of it. A weakened America means strengthened evil,” Sheets said.

In a separate word during an exclusive interview with Charisma News, Joseph Z had a word that the lion, the bear and Goliath were coming. While the lion and the bear represented specific nations in Sheets’ prophetic word, Z’s word explained these to be more symbolic of different events that would happen. The lion is a symbol of the media’s negative impact on culture while the bear represents fear for economic provision.

In the differences between these two words, Sheets discussed the dragon, while Z mentioned Goliath. The dragon, which could be understood as China from Sheets’ word, is a powerful and mighty nation. As The Most Important News reported, China has desired for “reunification” with Taiwan. What has been dubbed as a “dragon fossil” was also recently found in China, perhaps these two events symbolizing a return of this nation.

Goliath, however, as Z described, is a spirit of intimidation. “Goliath coming is a global, wicked spirit that wants to run this nation into the ground,” Z prophesied.

So, where do these two words intersect?

The overarching theme of both the dragon and Goliath could demonstrate a great and powerful spirit or stronghold that desires to conquer. While both the bear and the lion are meant to make us fearful, it is these last two, the dragon and Goliath, that are meant to crush believers. It is a desire for Satan to come and steal, kill and destroy everything he sees, but at the end of the day, it is the believer in Christ who has the ultimate authority to fight these powers and principalities through the name of Jesus.

As we continue forward this year, let us think about and see where these two words cross with one another as we see national and international affairs play out.

SBC Removes More Churches for Abuse Policies, Female Pastors

The Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee has removed more churches from its denomination.

As the Associated Press reported, one of the churches to be removed from the denomination is Immanuel Baptist Church located in Paducah, Kentucky. The church has been removed for having a female minister, Reverend Katie McKown.

Immanuel Baptist Church released a statement that was shared by WPSD Local 6, which read, “We share our affirmation and support of the decision to call Rev. Katie McKown to serve with and among us. We pray the SBC may be blessed with wisdom and discernment as it moves forward.”

This comes following the SBC’s removal last year of Saddleback Church, which was established by Rick Warren and his wife, Kay. The SBC removed Saddleback following their ordination of female pastors despite its global impact.

Other churches that were removed by the SBC dealt with policy issues and practices, including sexual abuse.

As the AP noted, Grove Road Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina had a “concern regarding the pastor’s mishandling of an allegation of sexual abuse.” Sexual abuse also played a role in ousting West Hendersonville Baptist Church in North Carolina as well.

The final church most recently removed came without much elaboration, other than a brief explanation that there were issues around “faith and practice.”

These particular cases come after many abuse cases, mishandlings and sexual misconduct has come out from other denominations.

In Slovenia, two former nuns have exposed the sexual abuse they faced by a prominent priest who said it was for their “spiritual growth.”

Here in America, more news continues to break with updates into the abuse case surrounding IHOPKC founder, Mike Bickle.

Greg Locke on Jesus in the Garden and the Ultimate Sacrifice

As many Christians around the world are currently observing Lent leading up to Resurrection Sunday, this time is a moment of observation and reflection on all that Jesus went through to pay the great price for the atonement of sins.

Perhaps one of the most overlooked parts of Jesus’ journey to the cross was His time in the Garden of Gethsemane. Yet, just as Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee notes, this night and this location was incredibly special and critical to Jesus completing the will of God.

“If you’ll read the book of Mark, it says it is a place that He and His disciples resorted to on a number of occasions,” Locke says. “But this night was different. Judas was going to betray Him with a kiss.”

Unlike every other time that Jesus and His disciples had been to this special place, Jesus knew what was lurking around the corner this time was different. He knew His very own disciple would betray Him with a kiss, all for 30 pieces of silver. He knew that Peter, the one who promised to love and defend Him no matter what, would end up cutting off the ear of Malchus and later deny Jesus three times.

The pain and torment heading towards Jesus was the most horrendous torture any person ever had and ever would feel. It was in the garden that Jesus prayed and submitted to this greater plan by the heavenly Father.

“The Bible says that Jesus came to the Garden of Gethsemane, the place of pressing, and it says that He was in great heaviness and the King James says, ‘agony,'” Locke says.

It was in this place of heaviness, here in the garden that Jesus asked for the heavenly Father to take this cup from Him. As Locke notes, it wasn’t because Jesus was trying to get out of something. It was because He knew that He was not only taking on the weight of the world’s sins, but that He would ultimately become sin, as the Scriptures say, “He who knew no sin became sin so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him,” (2 Cor. 5:21). This would mean separation from the heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit so that the Father could judge Jesus according to the standards of sin.

Knowing this was coming to pass, Jesus still chose to say “not My will be done, but Thine will be done.” Jesus was obedient even though it meant taking on the death He did not deserve out of His love for us.

This decision to fully submit to the will of God that would bring down His wrath and perfect judgment was so distressing that it caused Jesus to sweat blood.

“He has this encounter with His Father in the garden, and the Bible says that He sweat, as it were, great drops of blood,” Locke says. “Medically, that is called hematidrosis…a medical phenomenon that happens when someone is mentally and emotionally under such distress, they are literally in such vile agony that literally the pressure from the inside will burst the blood capillaries, mix with the sweat and come out of the pores of your skin.”

Each of us know what it’s like to sweat and to feel distressed, but imagine how much more these feelings and emotions were for Jesus? The pressure and the pain He felt was so much more than any of us have ever experienced.

The garden is not only representative of the emotional and mental distress that Jesus was feeling, but it was the actual place of betrayal, the moment where all His disciples fled, and He was arrested, taken for questioning, mockery and finally the cross. It is by studying Jesus’ time in the Garden of Gethsemane that we can see the beginning of the brutality Jesus faced, and what total submission to God’s will truly looks like.

Cindy Jacobs Responds to the Mike Bickle Allegations

As news continues to break surrounding allegations of sexual misconduct by IHOPKC founder, Mike Bickle, prophetic voice Cindy Jacobs is responding to the case.

“As a leader in the prayer movement, I am deeply grieved at the sexual misconduct of Mike Bickle,” Jacobs wrote on X.

“There are many pure and wonderful people who love 24/7 prayer and I am praying that their intercession will not be lessened. I am also praying for IHOP and the victims.”

Jacobs’ remarks echo those of Lou Engle, a former senior leader of IHOPKC, who also expressed his sorrow on X over the allegations, calling for Bickle to speak up. He wrote, “I have prayed and hoped that Mike would come forward with a full confession of all that is hidden. I’m hoping that it could bring a measure of peace for his own heart and a measure of justice for the hearts of those who have been affected by this trauma in the Body of Christ.”

These comments are just a couple from Christian leaders as more information continues to surface in this situation. Billy Graham’s grandson, Boz Tchividjian, called for IHOPKC to be permanently shut down after Tammy Woods, a now 57-year-old, claims to have been sexually abused by Bickle when she was only 14 years old.

“It’s time. It’s time to permanently close the doors at IHOPKC,” Tchividjian wrote on X.

Another woman, who is identifying as “TH,” also claims to have been sexually abused by Bickle in the 1970s when she was 15 and he was 20, according to The Roys Report.

It is during this grievous time that the body of Christ must continue to lift up all those mourning in prayer and to seek justice, mercy and healing according to the Bible’s standards.

The Two Keys for Spiritual Success in 2024

What will it take to be successful in 2024?

In his exclusive Beyond The Article interview with Charisma Magazine Online, apostle Tomi Arayomi is explaining what it will take for believers to follow Jesus without wavering in 2024 and beyond as our world sees more economic, political and social turbulence.

“Right now, the Spirit of God is looking at hearts,” Arayomi says. “He’s measuring our heart posture, our heart alignment just like when he was looking for a candidate to be king over Israel.”

If the Lord is searching His people’s hearts, then what kind of practical applications should believers take to dedicate themselves to Him?

Believers must be blameless.

In front of a holy and righteous God, believers are called to be blameless. Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us, “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love, He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself through Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will…”

Being blameless means that Christians do not fall into the snares of darkness, but instead strive to live pleasing lives for the Lord. With all humility, wisdom and discernment, Christians are called to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus at all times and allow Him to reign as Lord over all things. It’s a call to please the heavenly Father who has so freely chosen us to be His children.

In his feature article of Charisma Magazine Online, Arayomi writes, “Blamelessness also involves integrity and sincerity in one’s faith.”

Through prayer, studying and meditation of the Scriptures believers can allow the Holy Spirit to change our lives from the inside out.

This is the time to release the gathering anointing.

What exactly is the gathering anointing? Arayomi says that this particular point is especially critical for pastors and leaders because God is calling us into a time of collecting harvesters for the great harvest.

“You’re no longer the harvest; you’re now the workers,” Arayomi says.

This is a time of equipping the saints to do the good work of harvesting. As we approach the dawn of this end times harvest, Arayomi also says there are four ‘R’s’ that we are necessary. This includes repentance before the Lord, a return to God, a revival or refreshing in Christ, and finally, a reformation for the gospel.

“Revival is meant to tilt into reformation,” Arayomi says.  “God is saying, ‘I’m holding back the revival until you have your reformers on the ground.’”

As the church comes together to do the good work, God is actively placing people to prepare for the reformation that will keep the message of the gospel alive even after revival ends.

With 2024 already in full swing, God is calling His people to stay focused on Him and begin working with one another to fulfill the Great Commission as we inch nearer to Jesus’ return.
