Cahn Addresses Mental Wellness Amid MacArthur Backlash

Pastor John Macarthur is facing backlash from the Christian community after his statements that PTSD is nothing more than grief.

“If you understand, take PTSD, for example, what that really is, is grief. You are fighting a war you lost. Your buddies, you have a certain amount of survival guilt because you made it back, they didn’t. How do you deal with grief? Grief is a real thing. But grief is part of life, and if you can’t navigate grief, you can’t live life,” MacArthur said.

These statements landed Macarthur in hot water with well-known Christian speaker and author, Beth Moore. While she gave MacArthur grace about potentially misspeaking, she said there was no way he could understand what her own husband has dealt with by having PTSD.

“There is simply no way he could know, for example, what my husband has endured over being in a fire with his brother when he was a toddler and watching him burn and not acknowledge the reality of PTSD,” Moore wrote on X.

Amid this perplexing turmoil about mental health, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn gives an excellent message about experiencing lasting emotional stability.

“You have to be willing to always commit to God,” Cahn says.

“Paul said you can actually cast down thoughts. You can actually have control over your mind. You can have mental wholeness of being,” Cahn shares.

Cahn says we typically hear stories of people who have been committed for their mental health struggles. What he proposes is that a commitment to God, of trusting Him with your thought life, can make all the difference in the world.

“You are not a captive to your mind. Your mind might have habits, your mind might have thoughts…if you take it captive, take it under the Lord’s count the Word of God, it’s going to starting changing,” Cahn says.

Hillsong Settles Assault Case Involving Former Staff Member

Hillsong has settled an assault case against one of their former staff members, Jason Mays, in the assault against Anna Crenshaw.

Back in 2016, then 18-year-old Crenshaw says she was at a social gathering when Mays inappropriately touched her.

Crenshaw says she went to Hillsong’s head of pastoral care oversight and told them how Mays had assaulted her. However, Crenshaw says her complaint was not taken seriously.

At the time of the assault, Mays’ father, John Mays led the human resources division of Hillsong Church, which made Crenshaw uneasy about reporting the incident.

Hillsong’s response to the assault, according to Crenshaw and her father, Pastor Ed Crenshaw of Victory Church, was unacceptable.

Greg Locke Releases Groundbreaking Plans for Church

In a live Facebook stream, Pastor Greg Locke revealed the plans for a new building at Global Vision. After seeing his ministry explode in the past few years, meeting under a tent because of the influx of people coming to the church, he says it is now time to move into a new era.

“This today is a teaser,” Locke says. “For four years we have seen the glory of God in this church in ways that most pastors would saw their right arm off to experience. So, we can never take it for granted. If God lifted it today, we’ll go down in the history books as one of the churches that has been a portal of the glory of God in this nation for the last few years.”

Locke says there is a season for meeting in a tent to see God’s visitation and a time then for experiencing His long-term dwelling.

“For the glory of God, in my hand are the temple plans,” Locke says. “I’m not going to open it, not going to go into a full time of submission and defining it, but after four years of visitation in a tent, we’ve taken the exact circumference of this building and drawn up plans.”

Locke also went ahead and confronted anyone who may be doubting if this building project is possible.

“To the naysayers, it’ll happen quicker than you think it is,” Locke says. “God ain’t got time for no 10-year building program. We’ve got people to reach, we’ve got a Global Vision School of Ministry to launch this fall. We’ve got to have a place to house the habitation of the truth of God.”

Are You Under Spiritual Leadership or in a Cult?

In the latest Demon Slayer podcast with Alexander Pagani, Isaiah Saldivar, Mike Signorelli and Vlad Savchuk, the four men of God got down to talking about the importance of Christians having a spiritual covering, and how to know if your church is part of a cult.

“The concept of a covering really is a biblical one,” Pagani says. “[It is] being part of a community of believers where you’re being nurtured, facilitated, held accountable, you’re growing with, you’re growing together.”

“God created us to be part of larger communities and we grow better as we migrate together,” Pagani says. “God places you in a group of believers that He ordains for you that I believe might be tailor-made to who you are.”

“A good, godly covering is for your protection,” Savchuk says. “It protects us from pride. It protects us from criticism…and then there is the protection from foolishness.”

He also goes on to explain the difference with spiritual leaders and those who have the traits of being in a cult.

“You’re not allowed to question or criticize the leader,” Savchuk says.

Saldivar says that a church might be cult-like if they don’t allow believers to get together with those from other churches.

“We’re talking about churches that say you are not allowed to fellowship with other churches…when your pastor starts saying, ‘we are the only ones…’ you start getting into the shallow waters of cultism,” Saldivar says.

Saldivar warns that some churches might not completely fit the description of a cult, however, it may seem as though they are on the track to become one. When a pastor or leadership starts stepping into areas of life that they should not, Saldivar says you can be sure to know that this is cult-like behavior.

“You start getting that witchcraft domination,” Saldivar says.

“You have discernment ministries that have no discernment. You have accountability ministries that have no accountability. You have people calling out wolves who are wolves,” Signorelli says.

“One of the tactics of the devil is to always make the other person to be the one that’s doing the thing that you’re in fact doing. So, what I’ve noticed is they will manipulate you while calling the other person the manipulator,” Signorelli says.

Having godly, biblical accountability is necessary for believers especially in a day and age when deception is everywhere.

Profanity: What is Acceptable for Christians?

Profanity is one of the things that we cannot escape in our world today. Any time you go out in public it is almost guaranteed that you will hear cussing at some point. For Christians, we are called to live in but not be of the world. However, what is the proper response we can have to a topic like swearing?

There are proper and improper ways to react to profanity. In a recent heartwarming video of Dr. Ed Newton of Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX, viewers can see his response when someone curses in the middle of the service.

“I’m going to need you to stop cussing, alright, can you stop shouting out cuss words, is that alright?” Newton politely asks.

Just that day Anthony was planning on taking his own life when Michael showed up, giving him some food he bought with the intention to give to a different homeless person he had passed by. This prompted Newton to tell the story of Jesus leaving behind the 99 sheep to find the one that had been lost along with the parable of the prodigal son.

“We’ve got to help Anthony get back up on his feet. We have a responsibility,” Newton says.

This brought church members to flock to the front, ready to give out of their own wallet what they had.

Newton’s example, while not accepting the use of profanity, showed a genuine concern for the person behind the words so that he could receive the help he needed.

“There’s some people in this room more bothered by the fact that I just said the word…than you are worried about the people who are going to hell,” Noble said.

Cursing does not have to be part of the Christian’s vocabulary to make a point of reaching out to the lost. We can remember Ephesians 4:29 as we go about our daily lives: “Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace to the listeners.”

Prophetic Warning: ‘Conservativeness Does Not Mean You Serve God’

In a recent video, Amanda Grace released a prophetic warning discussing how being part of the conservative movement does not automatically make someone a child of God.

Grace’s warning also speaks directly to a lack of wisdom that the ungodly inherit.

“Your conservativeness does not bring my wisdom,” Grace says. “Seek My wisdom in this hour…and I shall repair what in your flesh you have damaged.”

“This is your warning. I, your Shepherd am calling out to the Lord. Answer the call to all humility and I shall grow a depth in you that truly convicts instead of just makes noise in an already too crowded room,” Grace prophesies.

This warning comes at a time when people on both ends of the political spectrum are vying to gain the most attraction and attention for the upcoming election cycle. While politics matter and who each person chooses to vote for will make a difference for the trajectory our country moves toward, our political affiliation does not determine our redemption.

It is only through the blood of Jesus we are made clean. Having similar moral values as a Christian will not save you. There’s a reason that Jesus told Nicodemus, “Unless you are born again, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.” Without repenting and turning away from sin, it is impossible to truly know God. No matter what party background we originate from, God is able to bring us real satisfaction and eternal life.

Alan DiDio and Daniel Kolenda: Is Cessationism Heresy?

Is cessationism heresy? This is the question Bishop Alan DiDio and Daniel Kolenda have set out to answer in a recent podcast episode of Encounter Today.

Christians have debated back and forth for years about whether or not the gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased to exist in our modern world. For charismatics and Pentecostals, the same gifts of tongues, prophecy, teaching and more are just as relevant today as they were when the Holy Spirit came upon the followers of Jesus after His ascension to heaven.

“I get a kick out of the unscriptural attempts they [cessationists] make at delegitimizing the charismatic movement and I think it’s about time that we equip the body of Christ with answers to these fallacious accusations,” DiDio says.

Something Daniel Kolenda points out is that charismatics are not the enemy of cessationists, even in the disagreement.

“I love them, and I’m jealous for them to experience the moving of the Holy Spirit,” Kolenda says. “Now some these cessationist teacher guys I don’t have a whole lot of appreciation for because I feel like they’re robbing the ordinary people of something so precious and something Jesus died for His children to experience.”

Kolenda explains that there is no biblical support for us to believe that the gifts of the spirit have ceased to exist in our world today.

“There’s no good argument in Scripture, there’s no good argument in church history,” Kolenda says.

So, the question stands: Is cessationism heretical?

Kolenda says much of the cessationist viewpoint is connected to a secular mindset and can end up being deism, which he says goes beyond heresy. While this is not necessarily the mindset of many cessationists, Kolenda says that hardline, complete cessationism is indeed still heretical.

However, Kolenda notes that for many cessationists, there is a belief in miracles in Scripture and even the ability for God to still perform them today. It is the core of cessationism as being abhorrent against the miraculous as a whole that Kolenda says is rooted in an antichrist spirit.

“There is no justification for cessationist doctrine,” Kolenda says. “Of all debates going on today between Bible-believing Christians, I think it’s the most obvious one to decide which is right and which is wrong…They literally do not have a single proof text that they can turn to to justify their doctrine,” Kolenda says.

Just as Scripture uses prophetic voices and miracles from the beginning to the end, let us not forget that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He is the same God who used the miraculous then, He can use the miraculous now. His nature has not changed, who God is has not changed and what He can do has not changed. The same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is still working in our world today.

Jonathan Cahn Reveals the Mysteries of Passover

As 2024’s Passover comes to a conclusion, prophetic voice and rabbi Jonathan Cahn is pulling back the centuries-old mysteries surrounding this most important celebration.

Cahn points out how the first Passover happened when the Israelites escaped Egypt, and the fulfillment of the Passover happened when Jesus Christ gave His life for the sins of the world on the cross of Calvary. Now, Passover is an excellent time for us to remember the salvation we’ve been given.

“Passover is about death and life, tears and redemption, slavery and freedom, rebirth and the salvation of God,” Cahn says.

The story of Passover is more than just a story or even an event. It’s a reflection of a loving, holy God choosing to save us from bondage even when we did nothing to deserve it.

“God saw you in exile. God saw you in your sorrows and He sent for you a Redeemer to come into your Egypt and by your Redeemer and by the blood of the Lamb, you are set free,” Cahn says.

Looking at the different elements part of the Passover meal, Cahn takes the bone of a lamb, known as a zeroa, and uncovers the unique mystery behind this Passover item.

“The mystery is this: in the Bible it says that God created the world by the zeroa, it says He saved His people out of Egypt by the zeroa,” Cahn says. “The zeroa can be translated into English as ‘the arm of God.'”

The arm of God directly relates to Isaiah 53 where we read about the pain and the suffering Jesus went through on our behalf. This shows the true nature and character of God for who He really is and what His plan has always been for humanity.

“The greatest revelation of the power of God is not that He could create the universe. It’s that He could give His life for you and die to save you,” Cahn says.

Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson Open Up About God and UFOs

In one of his latest podcasts, Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson sat down together and discussed the things of supernatural importance, including God and UFOs.

Starting off their discussion about UFOs, Rogan and Carlson point to the prophet Ezekiel as a place to gain understanding about this topic.

“It’s not American technology or Russian or Chinese. It predates all of that,” Carlson says. “I mean the prophet Ezekiel writes about it in the first chapter, wheels in the sky.”

While the prophet is actually talking about heavenly beings in Ezekiel 1, from a worldly perspective it makes sense that Carlson may believe the Bible is talking about UFOs when taken out of context. However, Carlson does believe that that unexplainable things we are seeing today are in fact spiritual and not from another planet.

“These are spiritual phenomenon. There’s no evidence they’re from another planet,” Carlson says. “They’re from here and they’ve been here for thousands of years whatever they are, and it’s pretty clear to me that they’re spiritual entities.”

Rogan and Carlson further got to the nitty gritty about the meaning and purpose of life, and the existence of good and evil perpetuating all kinds of circumstances in our world today.

“Are we very important in the universal sense?” Rogan asks. “Not really. Like, if the earth just imploded and disappeared, if the sun went supernova and our whole solar system was blown to bits, the universe still exists in the end.”

Carlson expands on what Rogan said, pointing out that we are very limited in our own power and ability to change outcomes and trajectories of the world. Carlson also emphasizes that our existence points to us being created individuals by a maker, not a species evolved from another creature.

“There’s no chain in the fossil record of that at all,” Carlson says of evolution. “God created people.”

School Staff Removed Following Drag Queen’s Provocative Prom Performance

A high school principal and several staff members are out of a job following a drag queen’s provocative prom performance.

As American Faith reported, Atrisco Heritage Academy High School in New Mexico had a drag queen come to perform at the senior class prom. The drag queen, Mythica Sahreen, wore a scanty outfit and heels, and danced with a couple of students, twerking on them.

“Could have kept it more on the side of like it being more PG with the fact that they kind of did twerk on a couple students,” one student said. “It wasn’t exactly the best, but it was something that did happen. And they did let students twerk on them.”

Even students who didn’t mind the performance felt that prom was an inappropriate time for this to take place.

“…it’s the place and where it happened, full of minors, you know, it wasn’t very appropriate for prom,” one of the students said.

Louder with Crowder confronted the situation on X.

“Can someone please explain how school administrators thought it was a good idea to have a drag queen perform at senior prom in attire that some kids would not even wear in a swim class?” Crowder wrote on X.
