The Long-Lost Site of Pentecost Uncovered

Has the location of the upper room from the Day of Pentecost been discovered?

Going on one of his archeological expeditions, Kramer took a careful look at a synagogue from the excavation project of Jewish archaeologist, Jacob Pinkerfield. In this ancient synagogue, Pinkerfield noticed a “Torah Arc” in the building. These arcs are where Jewish Scriptures were kept in places of worship.

Kramer says the proximity of this synagogue to where the Temple Mount stood is a key to its purpose. When Pinkerfield excavated the building, he uncovered several layers of flooring, the base most likely built during the Roman empire.

What was further uncovered from this site was a piece of plaster covered in graffiti. The graffiti translated to, “Conquer, O Savior mercy,” and “O Jesus that I may live.” This was no ordinary synagogue, but a gathering place for Christians.

The building’s location isn’t just close to the place where the Temple Mount stood. It faces Northwest toward Golgotha and the empty tomb.

“The house with the upper room was destroyed in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70,” Kramer says. “Soon afterwards, Jewish followers of Jesus built a synagogue in the same spot. Later, an octagonal church was built next to the synagogue. Still later, a larger Byzantine church was built, replaced by a crusader church that incorporated the ancient synagogue inside the building.”

The building stands to commemorate the risen Savior and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Kramer believes the significance of this goes beyond a surface-level celebration, acting as a remembrance of what happened at the Last Supper.

“What a perfect orientation for a building that is built to commemorate the event where Jesus told His disciples [to] eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of what I’ve done for you,” Kramer says.

It is in this same spot of remembrance where the indwelling of the Holy Spirit later happened.

“This is the birth of the church. This is where the church begins,” Kramer says.

Pentecost is more than just something Christians are to celebrate once a year. It is a real event which happened in a physical location and ignited the beginning of the church. It is the event that changed history as the Holy Spirit came to dwell with us.

Troy Black: Why Did God Allow 2020 to Happen?

Why did God allow 2020 to happen?

It’s a question that has been burning in the minds of many people for the past four years. After experiencing a pandemic, economic turmoil and a rocky change of executive power, it can leave someone to wonder what exactly was going on behind the spiritual scenes during these events.

In a prophetic message, YouTuber Troy Black gave a word about the reason why the Lord decided to allow the chaos that occurred in 2020 to happen.

On Mar. 16, Black heard the Lord say, “I knew what I was doing when I allowed the nation to go one direction in 2020. It wasn’t good for the nation—what happened. But it was necessary. Why, my people, do you think I reward injustice?”

If that wasn’t enough of a warning, Black continued on with the following:

“Before you look out at the culture, look to the log in your own eye. Look to the freedom you are refusing to walk in by the Spirit…infighting and injustice. That is what’s happening and what has been happening. If you will learn to love with the love of Christ, not overlooking sin, but loving despite one’s differences of opinion when it comes to secondary issues, then my freedom can manifest across a body in desperate need of restoration.”

This word hits particularly strong because of Black’s sentiments that Christians especially have been striving to be correct about everything. However, like all humans, we do not know everything and we cannot control everything. Instead, God is looking for us to be obedient to Him even when we do not understand everything happening around us.

“Leave the arrogance at the door and come into my throne room and worship, and then go out in freedom, ready to set the captives free again,” Black prophesied.

Instead of worrying about who is politically accurate or focusing on non-salvation issues, it is the job of Christians to join together to bring the gospel forth to the nations.

“You don’t have to be right; you just have to move ahead in the victory I won for you,” Black prophesied.

This is the time for Christians to humbly turn toward Jesus in repentance and unite to make sure that the main mission of our lives is completed: serving the Great Commission to see the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth.

Elementary Student Wins Battle to Start School Prayer Club

An elementary school student is celebrating a sweet victory for faith.

First Liberty Institute reached out to the school on Laura’s behalf. The school said if they found a sponsor for the club, they would allow it.

First Liberty’s email to Creekside Elementary said:

By singling out a religious club and providing it inferior access to school resources than what it provides to other noncurricular groups, the District shows a hostility to religion that violates the Free Exercise Clause.

Laura’s prayer club is slated to begin next week. She says interested students have already approached her about the club. Her plan for the group is to complete community service projects and spend time praying with one another.

“It was just a great lesson to learn that even an 11-year-old girl can make a big difference,” Laura said. “Some people may think that, ‘Oh, I won’t make a difference,’ but I’ve just learned that anyone can make a difference.”

Laura’s struggle and victory is a reminder that God will always go before us no matter what we are facing.

Sacrilegious Communion? Church Plans for ‘Pride Eucharist’

An Episcopal church in Austin, TX is currently gearing up for their third annual “pride eucharist.” While the meaning of communion according to Scripture has always been to remember that Jesus’ body was broken and His blood was shed on the cross for our sins, Jubilee Episcopal Church has decided to give an entirely new meaning to this most sacred event.

“Jubilee Episcopal Church is delighted to share our third annual pride eucharist will be in #pridemonth this year, on Sunday, June 9th!” A post read on Instagram. “Join us for Holy Eucharist – a service of holy words and a holy meal of bread and wine – wherein we will spend particular time celebrating God’s love for all LGBTQIA+ people.”

A post shared by Jubilee Episcopal Church (@jubileeatx)

The post continued to share the church would be putting together hygiene kits for the homeless and then have a reception afterwards. They also announced that congregants could order a limited-edition t-shirt with the proceeds going toward their children’s ministries.

In a video acquired by Protestia, Rev. Lizzie McManus-Dail of Jubilee Episcopal Church showed viewers what the limited-edition t-shirts looked like for this pride event.

“I always think it’s fun to have like concert tees or whatever for the pride eucharist,” McManus-Dail said in the video.

Florals and tie-dye covered the shirts, with adult and children’s sizes available. The shirts have statements like “pride eucharist” and “God made us in infinite color” on them.

On the Jubilee Church website, McManus-Dail shares in her bio that she grew up Catholic and her mother became an ordained minister with the United Methodist Church. She also went to Seminary at Duke Divinity School and Seminary of the Southwest, pursuing intersectional feminism and queer theology throughout her education.

Luke 22:19 says, “Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.'”

When we take the bread of communion, we are to remember that Christ willing was nailed to a cross for our sake. He took on the sins of the world, not because He was guilty, but because He was innocent and took our place when we deserved it.

Verse 20 then reads, “In like manner, He took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood which is shed for you.’”

Eucharist was never meant to be about us or celebrating ourselves. It has, and always will be, about the Savior of the world.

WATCH: Satan on Display During Global Music Competition

There’s no question if we’re living in dark times.

The performer representing Ireland, Bambie Thug, stood in a ring with the outline of a pentagram and candles surrounding her. Her dark costume combined with horns and pale makeup presented a death-like appearance. Later, she was joined on stage by a man, who was painted in gray-blue. The two danced provocatively together. By the end of the song, Bambie Thug has her dark clothes removed to reveal a two-piece transgender flag-themed outfit.

In a reaction video to the performance, Christian YouTuber Kap Chatfield broke down the bizarre show and the obvious spiritual implications it has for viewers.

“If this is what’s in the open just imagine what’s in private?” Chatfield asked. “You want to know why there’s so much degeneracy in the culture? It’s because it’s celebrated in the entertainment. It’s celebrated in the music and in the videos we watch.”

This points back to the fact that Satan led worship in heaven before rebelling against God. This means he will use entertainment, especially music, to try to get us to go astray.

Our eyes and our ears are the gates to our soul. What good will it do us if we gain all of this world, but end up losing our souls because we followed after entertainment that corrupted our spirit? At the end of the day, we were created to worship the Lord, and when we put Him and His kingdom first, all else will be added to us.

‘Pentecost 2.0’: Kathryn Krick’s Powerful Testimony of Revival and Healing

The Spirit of the Lord is here in our world today.

Apostle Kathryn Krick is joyfully sharing how God’s mighty and faithful hand moved in miraculous healing and revival during the Flourish Conference at Five-Fold Church in L.A.

“God had spoken to me that it would be like the day of Pentecost,” Krick wrote in a statement to Charisma Media. “God far surpassed our expectations! Many are calling it Pentecost 2.0! Glory to God!”

Krick reflected on how God showed up with miracles abounding everywhere, healing a woman who was blind.

“The next day on Sunday we experienced God move in even greater power,” Krick wrote. “A woman’s eyes opened up (she had very bad eye-sight), and her reaction is forever ingrained in my memory—pure joy, shock and gratitude to Jesus.”

Weeks after being prayed over at Krick’s Five-Fold Church, a man who had stage 3 colon cancer also came back to testify that his cancer had left after being prayed over.

“The doctors couldn’t find the cancer on the scans!” Krick wrote. “He was completely healed!”

Krick documented this outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a YouTube recap, which showcased testimonies of many people who experienced God’s presence in a new and meaningful way at the Flourish Conference. For Krick, seeing the Holy Spirit touch so many people was awe-inspiring.

God promises us that in the last days He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh and that sons and daughters would prophesy, and the old would dream dreams and the young would have visions. As we see God moving in the miraculous and setting people free, we are seeing the fulfillment of this promise come to pass. The Holy Spirit is here, and He is more than able to set the captives free.

‘Holy Spirit’ Church’s Blasphemous Taylor Swift Service

Taylor Swift’s music has found its home at The Church of the Holy Spirit.

As the Christian Post reported, the historic church in Heidelberg, Germany, decided to have a worship service centered around the pop star’s music.

Pastor Christof Ellsiepen told Deutsche Welle: “The Church of the Holy Spirit has always been a place of encounter and exchange. That’s why a pop-music religious service fits so perfectly.”

Ellsiepen believes the event allowed for younger people to come out and ask questions and focus on issues concerning them.

“Theologically speaking, she points to the justness of God,” Pastor Vincenzo Petracca said. “For her, faith and action are inseparable.”

As the Christian Post also noted and can be seen in a photo by Deutsche Welle, the church included a rainbow sign which read, “Welcome all sizes, all colours, all cultures, all sexes, all beliefs, all religions, all ages, all types, all people.”

The church decided to focus on Swift’s music because of its themes on gender equality, racism and women’s rights.

According to the Independent, this experimental church service went so well with getting people in the doors that the church is planning to have both a Billie Eilish and Beyoncé service as well.

Songs like “Guilty as Sin” describe her being crucified in a manner like Jesus and “The Prophecy” likens Swift to Eve after the fall. These are just a couple of the many songs featured on her new, wildly explicit album.

This is a moment for Christians to be spiritually discerning not only about what kind of music they are listening to, but clearly about what kind of church to attend. How can a church proclaim to be of the Holy Spirit if it glorifies someone else? The whole point of worship isn’t for us to idolize our own situations or musicians, but rather to give adoration to the One who gave it all for us on the cross.

We are called to be in but not of the world. Using pop culture may get someone in the doors of the church, but it won’t give them the solace and the hope that their soul truly longs for. Only by sharing the true message of freedom found in the gospel can lives be changed.

David Diga Hernandez Word: The Anointing is Protecting You

God does not look at the outward appearance, but at the inward heart.

This biblical truth is one most of us remember from reading King David’s story. God hid David and developed him through years of challenges and obstacles, all the while protecting him for his calling.

What if God is using this same anointing to hide and protect those he wants to use today?

“There are seasons where the Holy Spirit will seem to hide you. There are seasons where you’ll feel like you’re overlooked. There are seasons where you’re going to feel like you’re wasting your time,” Hernandez says.

Hernandez relates this specifically to the times when we feel a God-given dream and talent has not happened yet, but a believer knows they are supposed to be walking something out. You may even start to believe the lies of the enemy that something will never happen.

“The enemy might be lying to you. He might be saying to you, ‘If it were going to happen it would have happened by now,’” Hernandez says.

However, God’s sovereignty and will are much greater than any of our own human efforts.

“Ultimately, it’s God who raises, and so you don’t have to be afraid,” Hernandez says. “If God wants to raise you, no one can keep you down. If God wants to keep you down, no one can raise you. If God wants the door open, no one has the strength to shut it. If God wants a door shut, no one has the persistence to open it.”

Hernandez says that even in his own time of ministry growth pains he discovered it was the hiding place where he was built up into the person God desired him to become.

Benny Hinn Prays For His Critics

Lord, thank you, first, for your grace and thank you for your love and mercy on all of us. And dearest Jesus, when you hung on the cross you said, ‘Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.’ And Lord, today we forgive those who have spoken against us and said things that should not have been said against us. But Lord, we forgive and we love.

Hinn then concluded his prayer by asking God to pour out blessing, strength and victory on His people.

Precious Jesus, I pray you will bless your people, strengthen your people, bless your people daily with your presence. Give them a mighty hunger for your Word to know you through Your Word. Lord, I pray that they will live victorious, daily in this hour. In Jesus mighty name.

Whatever your thoughts may be on Benny Hinn, it’s clear he is not shying away from prayer in this situation.

Joseph Z on the Demonic Scheme Behind Avoiding Death

Everywhere we go, we see the narrative that aging is a problem. However, could there be a demonic influence behind the obsession with immortality?

Reviewing material about different new technologies to try to keep someone alive forever, Z shared a clip about “mind uploading.”

“It reminds me so much of when the book of Revelation talks about the image of the Beast and there was life given to it,” Z says. “This is all just a goal to try to live forever and I just want to say to you it doesn’t work, even if there’s a replica of you or a replica of a person, it doesn’t mean it’s them,” Z says.

So what do we do with these drastic technological changes that will undoubtedly affect us going forward?

Z says we need to know that these efforts are similar to the man-made efforts by the creation of the Tower of Babel. He believes we are at an intersection of rising darkness and a falling society.

“I believe it’s going to be very similar to the Genesis 11 narrative. Genesis 11 where the Tower of Babel was,” Z continued. “You see this happening again with technology.”

Despite this growing darkness, Z says the Lord will win the battle at the end of the day.

“I sense there’s intervention coming, I sense victories coming. I believe we’re going to see a collision of light and darkness, and darkness will not win,” Z says.
