3 Highlights From the RFK Jr. Confirmation Hearing

As Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing to become the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary began this morning, here are three highlights so far from today.

1. He talked about his committed prayer to God every day for the health of America’s children.

During the confirmation hearing, RFK Jr. shared how becoming the U.S. Health Secretary would be part of a fulfillment of a 20-year-old prayer he has talked to God about repeatedly.

“The first thing I’ve done every morning for the past 20 years is to get on my knees and pray to God that He would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic and to help America’s children,” says Kennedy. “That’s why I’m so grateful to President Trump [for] the opportunity to sit before you today and seek your support in this endeavor.”



2. Kennedy discussed the harmful effects of COVID vaccines and red dye.

When asked if he was a “conspiracy theorist,” Kennedy used his stance on COVID vaccines and red dye to show that the American people did not receive all the proper information they should have about the products used that went into their bodies, something he desires to change.

“I was told that I was a conspiracy theorist,” says Kennedy. “That label was applied to me because I said that the vaccines, the COVID vaccines, didn’t prevent transmission, and it wouldn’t prevent infection, when the government was telling people, Americans, that it would.”

“I was called a conspiracy theorist because I said red dye caused cancer. And now, [the] FDA has acknowledged that,” he continues.


3. Kennedy described “every abortion as a tragedy” to Congress.

“I agree with President Trump that every abortion is a tragedy,” says Kennedy. “We cannot be a moral nation if we have 1.2 million abortions a year. I agree with him that the states should control abortion. President Trump has told me that he wants to end late term that he wants to end federal funding here or abroad.”

The Year of the Dragon: A Time of Spiritual Warfare and Holy Fire

Last year, 2024, was the year of the dragon. The dragon, as explained in the book of Revelation, is a symbol of Satan. Revelation 12:3-4 tells us:

There was a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as He was born.

Verse 9 then blatantly calls out the dragon by who he actually is: Satan.



 The great dragon was cast out, that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

In 2024 we saw the signs of the dragon pop up all around us, including a giant dragon on the Empire State building in promotion of the “House of Dragon” show and on a banner inside of a church cathedral.

So, if Satan is the one prophesied about who will try to destroy Israel and the world, and is referred to as both the dragon and the serpent, then can we expect similar issues in 2025 to what arose in 2024?



The Year of the Snake: A Year of Deception and Divine Discernment

The year of the snake is now upon us, and biblically the serpent is the deceiver from the Garden (Gen. 3). He is the same foe of mankind as the dragon, Satan himself. Could this signal a time when deception will intensify—whether in global politics, cultural narratives or even within the church? One thing we can be sure of as we near the second coming of Christ is that false teachings, counterfeit movement and spiritual compromise may rise, but those anchored in God’s Word will discern truth from lies.



No matter what kinds of things we encounter this year, we must remember that the truth of God’s Word is sharper than a double-edged sword, and there is no lie Satan can spread that is greater than what God has already stated as His absolutely certain and trustworthy Word.

Another Megachurch Pastor to Leave Ministry for Unbelievable Reason

Another megachurch pastor is stepping down from his role, but not for a reason you may think.

Pastor Jon Weece of Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky, announced to his congregation that he will be stepping down in January 2026 with the intention of becoming a regular member of the church.

As the Christian Post reported, Weece has been serving with Southland since 2000, starting first as a teaching pastor before becoming the lead three years later. While some may question why he would choose to do so, Weece says his decision has nothing to do with moral standing, but rather everything to do with the emotional toll he’s seen ministers go through.

“I’ve always wanted to be healthier than the church I’m serving,” Weece says. “I’m not stepping aside because I’m tired. I’m not stepping aside because I’m angry or sad. I’m not stepping aside because I’ve done something immoral or nefarious or foolish.

“I’ve had a front row to ministry my whole life,” he continues. “My parents, my uncles, aunts, cousins, siblings, nieces, nephews, were all involved in church ministry and I’ve watched a sad dynamic take place at the leadership level. Preachers either leave a church way too early or they stay way too long. Both can do irrevocable damage to the church and not set it up for future success. I’ve always wanted to strike a balance with that.”

“I’m stepping aside because I genuinely believe it’s what’s best for Southland, and if it’s what’s best for Southland, man, I’m all in,” Weece told the church in his initial announcement.

Speaking with Pastor Scott Nickell who will be taking over his position, Weece pointed out the importance of family for both his well-being and Nickell’s.

“Both of us have committed to not sacrifice our families on the altar of ministry and ego,” Weece says.

Weece’s decision to step aside as lead pastor shows a different reason why ministers may step aside from the pulpit besides scandal or death. God simply may be calling Weece into a new season, into a new kind of ministry. One such example of someone going into a new direction with ministry was founder of Hillsong, Brian Houston, who recently launched an online church community now known as JesusFollowersTV. Just like anyone else, pastors also must follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit for whichever direction He wants to steer their lives.

Has the Case of the Mystery Drones Finally Been Solved?

Earlier today the White House finally discussed what was behind the mysterious drones that started overtaking New Jersey and New York.

According to Fox News, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt gave an update from the president, which explained where the drones came from.

“After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized by the FAA for research and various other reasons,” says Leavitt.



Leavitt also reassured Americans that the drones were not a threat to citizens. It was determined that other personal drones owned by individuals were used at this time as well.

“Many of these drones were also hobbyists, recreational and private individuals that enjoy flying drones. And in time, it got worse due to curiosity. This was not the enemy,” Leavitt says, according to Yahoo News.

While we may wonder why the Biden administration did not speak up about the drone sightings sooner and their purpose, perhaps the case of the mysterious drones has finally been solved once and for all. For Christians, this is an opportunity to continue to pray for the safety of our nation as we never know what kinds of security issues we may find ourselves in.

Jonathan Cahn’s Prophetic Word: Donald Trump’s Return

As Donald Trump steps back onto the political stage, many are asking: Is this merely a political comeback, or is there a deeper prophetic significance?

Bestselling author and prophetic voice Jonathan Cahn believes Trump’s return mirrors a biblical pattern—one that aligns with the story of King Jehu, the warrior king of Israel who rose to power to drive out corruption and idolatry.



“Daniel 2:21: ‘He changes the times and seasons. He removes kings and He establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, knowledge to those who have understanding. He removes kings and He places kings in power,'” says Cahn.

Just as God raised up Jehu in Scripture, Cahn points out how Trump’s rise to political power is strikingly similar to that of Jehu. Jehu was not a traditional leader; he was a rough, unorthodox and at times unpredictable warrior. Yet, he was anointed by God to challenge the wicked rulers of his time, particularly Jezebel and the house of Ahab, who had led Israel into apostasy.

Likewise, Trump—a political outsider—was propelled into leadership against the entrenched establishment, vowing to “drain the swamp” and push back against policies that many conservatives viewed as a threat to religious freedom and biblical values. Now, as Trump returns to office, radically changed after the attempt on his life last summer, he is already ushering in the core principles that can lead America back to God.

“I’ve never seen [an] inauguration speech with such specific vows,” says Cahn.

Cahn points out how our world has been calling good evil and evil good, especially when it comes to the attack against pro-life citizens and churches, as well as there being a war on gender as well. However, with the return of Donald Trump to office, he has promised to bring America back to these core values.

Cahn himself was also discussed during the time of Trump’s inauguration by none other than NPR radio, which highlighted Cahn’s prophetic message that he gave to Trump prior to the election. In a strange turn around of events, the station appeared to be concerned about the return of a modern-day Jehu to the White House, likely knowing that Trump would be the one to tear down the altars of sin in our society today.

Pointing out what the news outlets today have to say about Trump’s return to the White House, Cahn reads a headline from The New York Times, which called Trump’s return: “…trappings of the throne.” Trump is also notably purging all kinds of evil areas that Biden built up, something Jehu did as well.

“One of Jehu’s signal achievements is to dismantle the house of Baal,” says Cahn.

Trump’s Inaugural Symbolism: A Divine Foreshadowing?

One of the most remarkable moments Cahn highlights is an image of Trump holding a sword during one of the inaugural balls.

In biblical times, the sword represented authority, justice and divine intervention. Jehu was known for wielding the sword of judgment against those who had led Israel astray. Is it possible that Trump’s return signals a renewed battle against the forces that have come against the biblical values of America?

Doomsday Clock Inches Forward: Are We Closer to the End?

Today the world shifted a bit more as the Doomsday Clock inched seconds closer to midnight. The real question is: How should Christians perceive this timer of doom?

According to CNN, the Doomsday Clock moved its way forward 89 seconds before midnight, the time when it is believed that our planet would become unlivable. The last time the clock moved was in 2023 with the combination of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Hamas war and other climate and nuclear concerns.

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists’ science and security board chair, Daniel Holz, says they moved the clock because “…we do not see sufficient, positive progress on the global challenges we face, including nuclear risk, climate change, biological threats and advances in disruptive technologies.”

With the movement of this Doomsday Clock one second closer to destruction, the question that should now be asked is this: How should Christians perceive the end to come?

We know from Scripture that no one knows the exact time or hour of when Christ will return. However, we can look at the signs that Jesus gave us to notice as found in Matthew 24 and the books of Revelation, Daniel and Ezekiel. Throughout the Bible, God tells us not to be afraid. Even as we are getting closer to the return of Christ, it’s imperative that we not place our hope and trust in man, in a Doomsday clock or in anything other than Jesus. Remember, a clock does not determine our fate, but rather only God alone, the One who created heaven and earth.

While in prayer recently I was shown that another great war against drugs was about to begin. I heard the Lord say, “Watch and see as my hand of judgement falls on those who have dealt narcotics and trafficked drugs in your nation. Many will be shocked as they see drug lords brought to justice in the days ahead.”

I saw Lady Justice at the nation’s boarders with a balance in her hand. On one side there were illegal drugs on the other side were the words justice and judgement. I heard the Lord say, “Whoever says to the guilty, ‘You are innocent,’ will be cast out by righteous judges and denounced by this God fearing nation. I tell you this day it will go well with those who convict the guilty and rich blessing will come on them, but those who turn a blinded eye and allow darkness to continue will I utterly destroy. Justice will be done in America, it will bring joy to the righteous in the nation, but terror to evildoers who hide in the shadows in the country. I will reveal the deep things of darkness and bring utter darkness into the light for judgement and destruction.”


Shamp not only saw the downfall of the the drug lords and the turning of justice to the nation, but he also predicted that the Trump administration would have the strength and the power to completely change the current drug smuggling situation.

I saw that President Trump and his administration would take the strongest stance that any American president had ever taken on drug smuggling in the nation’s history. There would be a heavy initiative by the administration to fight a war against drugs in every city in the nation. I looked to the boarder in the south and saw a great river that flowed separating the United States from Mexico. I heard the Lord say, “Justice will roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.”

Shamp further foresaw cooperation between America and Mexico as they would work together to end the reign of drug cartels.

I suddenly saw two organized criminal groups decimated by the DEA and the Government of Mexico. I saw that America and Mexico would begin to cooperate on combating the flow of illegal drugs into the nation through exchange of information and intelligence. As a result both the Sinaloa cartel as well as the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion were brought to justice. I also saw the hand of Judgement fall on three major drug lords; Ismael Zambada GarcĂ­a, Rafael Caro Quintero, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. They will be brought to justice by the hand of God! God will bring judgment upon these wicked men, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed done in the body.

‘God is on the Move’: Kansas City Chiefs Family Shares Their Faith

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for their return to the Super Bowl, Tavia Hunt, the wife of the team’s owner, Clark Hunt, has taken to Instagram to share her appreciation for what God has done.

Sharing a screenshot about a Bob Jones prophecy involving the Chiefs, Hunt’s post describes how victory by the Chiefs was prophesied to be a sign of a coming revival.

In 2019, we learned of a prophecy from Bob Jones, who wrote that when the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl it would be a sign of end time revival. Since that victory, we’ve witnessed incredible revival across this country and the world. College and NFL players are boldly proclaiming their faith, and there is incredible revival happening on college campuses (see Unite_US). God is on the move, life is short, and we know that we are to use this platform for His glory.

Times are uncertain, but one thing remains true: Jesus saves, and we all need more of Him. In this historic moment, let’s not miss the person who changed history and gained the ultimate victory – the one Jesus won for us on the cross. Thanks be to God for all that He’s done and continues to do. To God be the glory!

In Hunt’s caption, she also shared how she has been reflecting on God’s great favor and faithfulness. After seeing seasons of defeat, He has placed the Chiefs in a position to rise above the rest.

Overwhelmed. That’s the word that comes to mind when we reflect on the lavish grace, favor, and faithfulness of God. I’ve said it before: I don’t think God cares about football, but He cares deeply about people.

In 2012, we were broken—winning only 2 games and facing an unimaginable tragedy. It was a humbling, desperate season, and we had nowhere to turn but to God. That brokenness brought us to total dependence on the One who holds it all. We began praying 1 Chronicles 4:10 and committing the team to the Lord. Shortly after, Clark hired Andy Reid, and God brought the Reids to Kansas City at just the right time.

The Chiefs hadn’t been to a Super Bowl in 50 years, and the closest we got was losing to the Bills in the AFC Championship in 1993.

What Clark, Andy, Brett Veach, Mark Donovan have built over the past decade is more than a football team. It’s a culture grounded in winning with character, honoring tradition, inspiring our fans and uniting and uplifting our community. This journey is about walking alongside people we love and respect, who inspire fans, unite Kansas City, and honor God through their actions.

She further shared that it was not by favoritism or “black magic” that has brought the Chiefs to where they are today. Instead, she says it is by the grace of God.

By God’s grace we’ve had success, but it’s not “black magic” or referee favoritism (look at the stats on this)—it’s lots of hard work, belief, and purpose. Patrick Mahomes leads with humility and puts God first. Marcellus Casey, our team chaplain, pours into players and their families through weekly Bible studies and prayer. Many of our players—Drew Tranquil, Harrison Butker, Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Trey Smith and more—openly share their faith, lifting each other up on and off the field

Chris Pratt on the Los Angeles Fires: ‘We Trust in God’

Actor Chris Pratt took to Instagram where he gave a word of encouragement to fans and an update on his home amid the catastrophic Los Angeles fires.

“Miraculously, it’s still standing,” Pratt says about his home. “By the grace of God we have four walls and a roof.”

“It’s truly devastating as you know,” he continues. “Silver lining is my house was saved, but at the same time, so many people’s houses were burned around us and the community’s gone.”

Pratt says that what has happened in the area is heartbreaking, including the loss of his son’s school and his ex-wife Anna Faris’ house, which also burned down.

“Dozens of our friends lost their homes. It’s just wild. And we’re resilient. And we trust in God, and consider it all a blessing.”

Abbie Stockard, the new Miss America for 2025, recently shared how her faith in Christ has played a role in her attaining the crown, and how she hopes to see it affect others during her reign.

“I think our world is broken,” Stockard told Fox News. “I this it is polarized and divided, and I want to be a light. I want to be an inspiration, and I want to make every single person feel seen, valued and appreciated because that is who the Lord is. That’s what He would want me to do. And I know that I was anointed to this position for a purpose, and that’s why I’m not going to take it for granted.”

Stockard is not the first pageant winner to speak about the spiritual realm. Former Miss USA winner Noelia Voigt thanked God for her tremendous win. However, she later found herself at odds with the Miss USA system, which she considered to be a toxic work environment where she felt one had to “sign your soul to the devil” for the position.
