When fame and fortune come calling, what is a person to do?

On a recent episode of the We Need to Talk Podcast with Ezekiel Azonwu, Christina and Stephon Chaney shared their testimonies of how God took them out of the pit and darkness and into the light. For Christina, that included some major demonic battles within the music industry.

Raised in a Pentecostal church, Chaney always knew about God, but she drifted far from the foundation laid in her youth. Her career took center stage, and while she kept a belief in God tucked away in her heart, she lived as if He could wait. That all changed when the darkness she once danced around suddenly became terrifyingly real.

The first major supernatural encounter came during a private conversation with a top producer. He casually suggested that she could have it all—if she’d just sell her soul. “When he said that, it was like my ears opened,” Chaney recalls. “I heard it spiritually. I dropped to my knees. I was so convicted. I was like, God, this is real.”

From that moment, the spiritual warfare intensified. Chaney began experiencing paralyzing nightmares. “I had sleep paralysis all the time. Demonic dreams,” she said. “I had a lot of anxiety. There was always a tightness in my chest.” Despite trying to calm herself through all kinds of compromise, the attacks persisted.

This included when Chaney came face-to-face with a demonic presence in what she can only describe as astral projection.

“I’m like, ‘Oh no, I died in my sleep. Oh no, no, no, I’m going to hell. Oh no, no, no,'” Chaney says. “No, it’s too late. No, it’s too late.” I’m like, “No, no, God, forgive me, Lord Jesus.”

Now, as Chaney started to repent, she said that the enemy told her to “shut up.” This, she says he did so as if he was in a hurry. From here, Chaney not only knew that there was a real enemy after her soul, but she knew that the only way forward was with Christ.

It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but the veil had been lifted. Music—once her god—was now exposed as a vehicle that could either carry life or death. “Music is a weapon,” she said. “It’s spiritual. It opens you up.”

This journey from darkness to deliverance reveals the unseen battle many face, often unknowingly, and the extraordinary power that comes when a person encounters the truth of Christ. From a young age, Healy has had the ability to see the spirit realm. “I’ve seen angels, demons, and other spiritual things,” he shared. “As we’re going throughout our day, there’s always angels around us, bringing encouragement, trying to guide us into more godly thinking, and bringing protection.”

However, Healy also noted the presence of demonic forces, whose mission is to “steal, kill and destroy.”

Healy described the demonic influence as less of a mastermind lurking in the shadows and more of a roaming presence, as Scripture describes it: “It’s more helpful to think of it as what Scripture describes—this roaming lion, looking for whom it may devour.” These forces take advantage of our fears and pains, “trying to make more harm.”

When asked if others with the same spiritual gift of seeing would perceive the same things Healy experiences, he affirmed that it’s often the case. “I’ve had several experiences where we’ve seen the exact same thing at the exact same time, so verbatim, we’ve described the exact same way,” Healy recalled. “I remember one particular time… he just finally felt like he wasn’t a crazy person, because someone else was seeing the same thing.”

However, he added that different seers might describe what they see in varied ways. He explained, “Sometimes when people see things in the Spirit, they see them in a way that maybe looks different if you were to paint a picture of it, but it’s describing the same thing.”

Healy also touched on the role of media and how it shapes our perceptions, especially in this modern age of social media. He remembered seeing how media can create very different spiritual experiences for different groups of people.

“I remember this one time I went to this movie with my mom and my sisters… when I looked around the group of younger girls… I saw this demon… twisting and re-knitting that light that was coming towards them.” He saw that it was producing an unrealistic, romanticized vision of relationships. In contrast, a married couple sitting nearby was experiencing a positive emotional reaction, which Healy described as “revitalizing romantic feelings.”

Beyond the TV and film industry, Healy has seen how social media also affects different people as well. “Social media and just rapid-fire media have… such a quick pace that it can shape these narratives and beliefs in our minds,” he warned. “I’ve never seen it happen so fast, where an entire narrative, the feeling of an entire history of belief in an idea, could be constructed over just a few minutes.”

Despite the negative effects of media, Healy emphasized that the medium itself is not inherently evil. “It’s just a medium. It’s just a way of communicating a message.” He continued, “The trick really is the usage of it, that the enemy tries to take advantage of what is and twist it into something that’s harmful rather than something that could be useful or helpful.”

Prophetic voices see this as more than coincidence—rather, a divine affirmation of timing and mission.

3. The Two-Term Prophecy
Prophets like Kim Clement and others spoke of Trump serving two terms, with the second coming after a dark stretch—what some call the “Trump Train” passing through a tunnel into light. That tunnel may now be behind us, with the second term representing a season of exposure, restoration and national repentance.

4. The Blood and the Anointing
After the assassination attempt where Trump was shot in the right ear and bled from the right hand—many saw spiritual parallels to the Old Testament anointing of priests, who had blood placed on the right ear, thumb and toe. 5. The Prophetic Word for 2027
Kim Clement’s final prophecies pointed toward 2027 as a year of exposure and national shaking. He saw betrayal at the highest levels, but also revival—an Elijah-like return of hearts between generations. With 2027 marking the 420th anniversary of First Landing, many believe that moment will bring further fulfillment of these words.

6. The Hidden Serpent and Coming Shaking
Clement prophesied of a “serpent in the White House” that would be exposed, causing the nation to shake. That shaking, he declared, would be good for America—part of God’s process of purification and truth. Prophets say we are entering this period now.

“As I was down there the children began to travail,” Weaver says.

“One of them tapped me and said, ‘I’m ready to be baptized,'” Weaver recounts. From here, many children agreed, saying that they were ready to be baptized.

One of the children who was inside the baptism tank noted that they wanted to be baptized so they could “glorify God.”

She believes the years 2025 and 2027 symbolically align with “9/11”—not in reference to terrorism, but as a spiritual alarm for the church. “2025 is the valley of decision for the church,” she explained. “It starts that 9/11 window, that alarm, that wake up call to arise as the Acts church.”

This symbolic timeline, she warned, parallels the urgency of John 10:10, where “the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.” Grace emphasized that this same destructive spirit is actively targeting believers today, especially as the church begins to walk in increased spiritual power. “When that happens, the persecuting spirit goes forth in attempt to destroy the rise of that power,” she said.

One example, she noted, is cultural commentator Russell Brand. Once “branded by the world to do their bidding,” Brand is now facing public accusations and scrutiny following his spiritual awakening and outspokenness. “Almighty God pursued branded his name upon Russell Brand,” Grace said. She called Brand a living example of how the religious spirit works to silence voices that break from worldly systems.

Grace warned that this religious, persecuting spirit has already infiltrated governments around the globe—from England to Europe and the Middle East—and is attempting to do the same in the United States. “It is the same content, it’s of the book, it’s just a different cover,” she said, describing how deception adapts to every culture.

For believers, this is not the time to be passive or distracted. “We as the church have to arise and operate in the power endowed us with…from on high through Christ Jesus,” she urged. “This is the decision for the church.”

Grace ended her message with a clear call to action: the church must return to prayer, Scripture, and the power of the Holy Spirit. “The fire of the Holy Ghost again needs to arise in the church,” she said. “It’s 9/11. It’s the alarm. It’s the wake-up call. The church needs to act now.”

Coston notes the miracles, signs and wonders that have come out of Saldivar’s ministry, including a mother deciding to keep her baby after watching one of his videos.

“What I just saw in the comments of this post blew my mind. This lady said she had her phone in, was about to make the call to have an abortion when she saw a clip that Isaiah posted about abortion, and it changed her mind and her baby is now about to turn two years old.”

Now, Coston is hoping that more people of faith will take Saldivar’s lead and boldly share the message of the gospel across social media platforms.

“Where are all the other Christians out there who love Jesus, who don’t want people to go to hell, who aren’t afraid to get online and speak the truth to people?” she asks. “Because Jesus is coming back, and someday it will be too late for these people to hear the gospel message.”

With music playing such a powerful role in shaping our thoughts, he emphasizes the importance of guarding our “ear gates” and “eye gates.” Saldivar asks, “If I’m allowing pollution in… what do you want stuck in your head? Ungodly music or the Word of God?”

He further points out that many popular songs today glorify darkness: “Music about perversion, music about murder, music about drugs… it’s all sinful. It’s all dark. It’s all glorifying darkness.”

And I will remove from this office those who have corrupted the truth and lied and spoken to the enemies at the gate as if they were their friends. This has insulted me,’ says the Lord. ‘Therefore, I will give you peace. I will give you righteousness. And there shall arise men and women that shall pray in the White House, and they shall bring the latter rain into this nation and onto the earth,’ says the Lord.”

This prophetic word just may be a glimpse into what we are seeing today as President Trump continues to uphold Christian prayer and faith, created a Faith Office and the White House itself continues to erupt in worship and prayer with leaders of the faith praising Jesus.

President Trump’s renewed emphasis on faith, prayer and national righteousness seems to echo Clement’s words that God would “give you peace” and “extend My period of grace.” The creation of the Faith Office and continued gatherings of spiritual leaders at the White House serve as markers of the prophetic rain Clement spoke of.

As worship and intercession rise from Washington D.C., it signals not just a political movement, but a spiritual awakening. The latter rain is falling, and with it comes the hope that this nation is being positioned—not for judgment—but for revival, restoration and a return to the heart of God.

For over 50 years, Ray Comfort has shared a message of repentance, stressing its foundational role in the gospel. Now, he is asking a key question: Has he been right or wrong about the role of repentance after all these years of ministry?

A growing number of modern teachers suggest that repentance is simply a change of mind about Jesus—an intellectual acknowledgment rather than a moral or spiritual shift. But Comfort firmly rejects this interpretation. He insists that true repentance is a decisive turning from sin to God, not a vague mental adjustment. It involves the heart, the will and the direction of one’s life.

“Repentance is a subject I’ve preached for 50 years. I have seen, as I’ve studied the Word of God, how crucial it is. You cannot ignore it, and you cannot substitute anything else for it,” Comfort says.

The debate surrounding repentance revolves around two differing views: one that sees it as “a simple change of mind, especially about Jesus,” and another, which Comfort supports, viewing it as “a decisive turning from sin to God.” He insists that repentance is not optional but “absolutely essential for salvation.”

This understanding is not new. It is rooted in church history and echoed by voices across generations. The Puritan Thomas Watson described repentance as a grace of God’s Spirit that produces both inward humility and visible reformation. Charles Spurgeon called it a hatred and forsaking of sin. Evangelist D.L. Moody emphasized that repentance requires not just sorrow, but a turning and forsaking of sin altogether. And George Whitefield insisted that repentance must include a firm resolution to abandon sin.

These leaders did not view repentance as a work, but as a vital response to the work of grace. According to Comfort, true repentance is the evidence of a changed heart and the mark of someone who has truly encountered Christ.

Comfort also spoke directly on justification. “Justification is not a process. You don’t gradually give up sin and then become saved. That would be salvation by works. Regeneration is an instantaneous act accomplished by God’s grace. When you repent by turning from sin and forsaking it in your heart and mind and believe the gospel, you are saved instantly.”

“The Gospel is that Jesus paid the penalty for sin… The death of Christ is essential,” Comfort says. However, salvation becomes real only when a person repents and trusts in Jesus: “Repentance means you turn from sin, but you also trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.”

This repentance is the only way to truly be saved from eternal separation from God. “If you don’t repent, you die in your sins and you end up in hell. But if you’ll simply repent of your sins, turn from them and trust in Jesus… God will grant you everlasting life.”

Repentance is essential, not just as a change of mind, but as a decisive turning toward God, forsaking sin and putting our trust in Jesus Christ. This foundational truth of the gospel—rooted in centuries of biblical teaching—reminds us that salvation is not a gradual process but an instantaneous gift, available to all who repent and believe.

In ministry, the spiritual battlefield is real—and leaders are often the first to be targeted.

In a recent video by Apostle John Eckhardt, he explains from Peter C. Wagner’s “Prayer Shield” how this simple concept is vital in this current season. This shield is a group of trusted, mature believers who intercede regularly and specifically for pastors, Christian leaders and ministry teams.

Drawing from Scripture, Eckhardt’s message highlights the spiritual battles leaders face. From Moses needing Aaron and Hur to lift his hands during battle (Exodus 17), to Jesus praying for Peter that his faith would not fail (Luke 22:32), the Bible shows the necessity of sustained prayer support. Even Paul requested intercession in Romans 15:30 and Ephesians 6:19. “Even the greatest spiritual leaders need the prayers of others to fulfill their assignments.”

Without strong intercessory covering, leaders are vulnerable to moral failure, burnout, discouragement, and spiritual defeat. “When leaders fall, the body of Christ is wounded. A ministry suffers, evangelism is hindered,” Eckhardt points out. That’s why forming intentional, organized prayer support isn’t optional—it’s essential.

Eckhardt also urges transparency, noting that leaders should communicate their prayer needs wisely but clearly. “If you’re having challenges… you should tell them, ‘I’m tired, I’m stressed… enemies attacking my mind, my finances… would you pray for it?’”

Prayer shields aren’t just for individuals—they extend to church leadership teams, ministries, families and even material needs. When in place, they form a spiritual hedge of protection, much like what surrounded Job. “Prayer really does thwart the works of darkness and the works of the enemy,” Eckhardt affirms.

For churches and ministries serious about growth and spiritual impact, building a prayer shield is non-negotiable. As Eckhardt says, “Too many leaders fail… because of a lack of prayer support.” A strong prayer shield might be the difference between breakthrough and breakdown.
