Gateway Church Tithes Plummet, Staff Cuts to Come

While Gateway Church has finally found a new senior pastor, tithes to the church have not rebounded since Robert Morris was ousted last year for the alleged abuse crimes against Cindy Clemishire that started when she was 12-years-old.

According to the Christian Post, the church recently announced that in the next few weeks staff cuts will be made due to this “significant drop” in tithes giving.

In a statement to church members that was then later shared on social media, Gateway’s elders made the grim announcement of these foreboding events.

“Over the last year, tithing has not mirrored attendance, given the ongoing issues related to the church’s former pastor and that has led to a significant drop in giving levels…These are the difficult but practical realities of the season we’ve been in, and we will continue to walk through it with humility, prayer and our commitment to intentionally healing as a church family.”

Given this devastating financial circumstance, the church says, “it has become clear that restructuring our staff is necessary, requiring the tough but necessary step of staff reduction.”

The Dallas Morning News reported that “there will be a two-week voluntary resignation period for staffers, and packages for employees will be one month of severance and benefits per year of service, up to four months.” These coming layoffs are expected to be completed by the middle of July.

Tra Willbanks, who is the chair of the elders, told The Dallas Morning News that it was “…an extremely difficult decision for us to make, and we didn’t come to it quickly or easily and waited as long as we could.”

He further said that this decision “…was an important step to ensure we are able to minister to our church family well, however it affects real people and members of our church family that we’ve loved and served alongside for years, which is what makes it so painful.” He also stated that they are “trying to love our staff well through this painful process.

Last fall, Gateway elder Kenneth Fambro made the shocking announcement that tithing had reduced between 35-40%, and that the church would have to begin looking into laying off employees. The church also faced a lawsuit due to their “moneyback guarantee” tithing principle, which promised that the church would use 15% of its tithes for Jewish ministry partners along with global missions. If church members were not pleased, they were also promised to receive a tithe refund, something that reportedly was not properly upheld.

Kay Robertson’s other son, Jase Robertson, also said that there’s been a lot of false information circulating the internet about her condition right now.

“A lot of my friends have sent me texts [saying] ‘sorry about your mom…’ and I’m like, ‘No, we just ate supper she’s doing really good.'”

Alan pointed to a conversation he had with his other brother, Willie Robertson, who took the blame for getting the internet concerned about Kay’s health.

“He said, ‘Well, this whole thing with mom, it was my fault. I did it. I started it,'” Alan quoted Willie.

According to Alan, Willie was doing a local interview for his new show when the reporter asked how his mother was doing. He answered by saying that in general, Kay’s health was not up-to-par, and that she had been upset following the death of her husband, Phil Robertson.

“But she’s really thriving and doing fantastic,” Alan says. “She’s been walking up the steps to my house. I mean, she’s doing things I didn’t know that she would do.”

Jase agreed that Kay is in much better shape than she was even six months ago.

This Is the Real Reason Why Christians Are Seeing Demons

As the veil between the spiritual and natural realms seems to be thinning, more Christians are asking: Can a believer be affected by demons? While the traditional response might be a confident “No,” testimonies from across the body of Christ suggest that the answer isn’t always so simple.

In a conversation with Lisa, Bevere, Ryan Bethea, host of the hit podcast The Exorcist Files, dives headfirst into this question through dramatized real-life exorcism cases and interviews with both Catholic and Protestant leaders.

What began as a personal search for God’s power in the face of spiritual dryness has evolved into a platform that gives voice to the reality of spiritual warfare—and the authority believers have in Christ.

To order Alexander Pagani’s new book, Manipulated, visit Amazon.com.

Bethea didn’t set out to become a voice in the realm of the supernatural. Disillusioned by a faith that seemed powerless compared to the miracles of Jesus and the apostles, he cried out for an experiential encounter with God. That prayer opened doors—not just spiritually, but professionally—as he began to collect credible stories of divine intervention, spiritual deliverance and yes, demonic oppression.

Through interviews with priests, pastors, and deliverance ministers, Bethea found consistency in the way demonic oppression manifests. Whether it’s objects moving on their own, dark shadows, or deep generational patterns of sickness, addiction or broken relationships—there’s often a legal right the enemy has gained through sin, trauma or unrepented generational ties.

Bevere herself has a powerful testimony in which she saw broken family lines through miscarriages and divorce, realizing that there must be a deeper pattern which was linked in the spiritual realm.

Bethea notes that there is power in confession and repentance, which means that before engaging in spiritual warfare, it is key that one acts with prayer and repentance—recognizing that freedom starts not with formulas but with surrender.

Bethea makes it clear: spiritual authority belongs to every believer in Jesus. He references Mark 16 and Jesus’ affirmation that “these signs will follow those who believe.” However, he warns that not every battle is ours to fight. Spiritual warfare should be approached with discernment and submission to God’s timing and guidance.

Whether through confession, prayer or breaking generational strongholds, freedom is possible—and it begins with surrender. This isn’t about fear; it’s about faith. Because when Jesus is at the center, no darkness can stand.

Mike Todd Responds to Critics on His ‘Transformational’ Journey

In a conversation with Lecrae, Pastor Mike Todd addressed the public criticism he has received over the years. Drawing on the biblical story of David refusing Saul’s armor, the two reflected on Todd’s journey: “This don’t fit, bro,” Lecrae said. “But I promise you if you give me the sling and the stones, I’m going to get the work done.”

Todd says he’s been slaying Goliaths behind-the-scenes for years—through generosity, discipline and faithfulness. “The integrity I walk in can’t be Instagrammed. The faithfulness I’ve shown for years can’t be posted.”

Todd believes his hidden faithfulness is misunderstood by a culture that only sees the highlight reel. “I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I would use my whole life trying to prove to people who don’t actually care that I am something that I actually am.”

Todd says he regularly tells his church about his past struggles with pornography, lying and manipulation—not to glorify his past but to stay free and encourage others. “We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony,” he said, referencing Revelation. “Transparency is not a marketing tactic. It’s freedom insurance.”

The pastor also addressed criticism about his questionable outfit choices, stating that no one used to worry about what he wore when he was overweight. “I was almost 300 pounds,” he shared, “and God told me he said ‘I only can bless the ministry to the level your body can take it.’”

Ultimately, Todd says he wants his life to be a living testimony, not just his sermons or social media posts. “The way I love my kids, and the way I love my wife…that I actually live Scripture,” he said.

One Truth That Will Change Your Entire Walk With Jesus

As a young believer, Rabbi Kirt Schneider saw himself as a warrior—fighting for faith, striving for mastery and trusting Jesus for victory in every area of life. The Bible says, “Whoever is born of God overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4), and that was his pursuit: spiritual triumph. But early on, he missed one of the most profound revelations of the Gospel—God is love.

In 1 John 4:8, Scripture tells us, “The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Victory in Christ isn’t just about overcoming external battles; it’s about learning to love like He loves. Love isn’t merely a feeling or emotional high—it’s a daily choice to lay down your life, to serve, to forgive, to show up even when it hurts.

Jesus’ greatest act of love—the cross—wasn’t easy. He sweat blood in Gethsemane before choosing to sacrifice everything for us. That kind of love costs something. And yet, that’s the very path to walking in the fullness of the Spirit and the victory of God.

Is Your Horoscope a Gateway to Darkness? What Scripture Says Will Shock You

In a culture increasingly obsessed with zodiac signs, horoscopes and cosmic alignment, many Christians find themselves unknowingly entangled in spiritual practices the Bible calls dangerous and detestable. What seems like harmless fun—checking your daily horoscope, identifying as a “Cancer” or “Leo,” or manifesting energy from the stars—is actually opening doors to spiritual deception.

Astrology is divination,” Pastor Todd Mullins warns. “The practice of trying to foresee and foretell what will happen. And God warns His people in Deuteronomy… ‘Let no one be found among you… who practices divination,’” (Deut. 18:10-12).

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Many don’t realize that astrology is not the same as astronomy. Astronomy is the scientific study of the stars and planets—part of God’s created universe. But astrology is defined as divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs—a practice clearly condemned in Scripture.

In Isaiah 47:13-14, God addresses the astrologers of Babylon:

“Let your astrologers come forward… let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up… there is not one that can save you.”

The practice of astrology is not only divination—it’s idolatry. It substitutes the creation for the Creator. “When you seek instruction from astrological charts or horoscopes,” Mullins explains, “you’re actually trying to align your life to what they say—coming into agreement with that instead of with God’s Word.”

Deuteronomy 4:19 warns us not to be “led astray and bow down to the sun, moon and stars.” When we define our identity by a zodiac sign, we replace God’s design with a counterfeit. “Astrology says the stars determine your personality and destiny,” Mullins emphasizes, “but only God determines your destiny. It puts power in the hands of the universe instead of the one who created the universe.”

The third and most serious reason believers must avoid astrology is this: it opens the door to demonic activity. “There are only two sources of spiritual power—God and the devil,” Mullins declares. “When you dabble in things like horoscopes, Ouija boards, crystals or manifesting, you are unknowingly opening yourself up to spiritual wickedness in high places.

Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:12 serve as a sobering reminder:

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers… against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

There is good news, however: “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). We don’t have to fear the enemy—but we do need to be aware of his schemes. God’s Word provides all the wisdom, direction, and purpose you need. You don’t need the stars to tell you who you are. Look to the One who made them.

Dallas Jenkins Collaborates with Amazon for Exciting New Project

5&2 Studios is about to expand beyond the story of The Chosen.

As Amazon grows its lineup of biblically-based content with titles like House of David and The Chosen, the platform is deepening its partnership with Dallas Jenkins and 5&2 Studios to bring the story of Joseph to life.

The drama, which will be called Joseph of Egypt, is set to be written and produced by Craig Wright while Jenkins will act as the executive producer, according to Crosswalk.

The upcoming show’s tagline gives a sneak peak into the storyline: “Betrayed by jealous brothers, Joseph defies all expectations and rises to incredible power in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. But when his past catches up with him, he is confronted with the ultimate test.

At a previous ChosenCon event in Orlando, Jenkins explained why he felt a depth and responsibility to create this upcoming eight-episode drama series. He pointed out that the story of Joseph and Jacob happened hundreds of years before Moses was given the Ten Commandments, which of course is where the Law came from that Jesus then came to fulfill.

“…in many ways, these stories are the reason that Moses was given the Law, and Moses’s stories are the reason that Jesus came,” said Jenkins. “And so we want that through-line through all of these projects—that even when they’re Old Testament projects, they’re really ultimately Jesus projects.”

This includes telling the backstory of Jacob, Rachel and Leah.

“We’re going to get into the birth of the 12 brothers who were, of course, the forebearers of the 12 tribes of Israel.”

Jenkins is also set to release a live action series on Moses and one on the book of Acts, which will be called The Way of the Chosen.

With Joseph of Egypt, Dallas Jenkins and 5&2 Studios are not just expanding their creative reach—they’re laying the foundation for a sweeping biblical universe that connects the Old and New Testaments with powerful storytelling. By tracing the lineage of faith from Jacob to Jesus, these upcoming projects aim to illuminate God’s redemptive plan across generations, drawing audiences deeper into the unfolding story of Scripture—one series at a time.

Will We Have Cars and Planes in the Millennium? Bible’s Clues About Technology in Christ’s Kingdom

Many believers find themselves asking a fascinating question: Will technology still exist in the Millennial Kingdom and into eternity?

While Scripture doesn’t spell out the answer explicitly, there are clues and biblical principles that help us explore the possibilities.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

In a recent video by Prophecy Watchers, Mondo Gonzales and Lee Brainard point to prophetic imagery in the Bible’s books Micah and Isaiah, which describe people turning “swords into plowshares,” as evidence that the Millennial age will be agrarian. Does that mean we’ll return to pre-industrial farming, or is it simply symbolic of peace and transformation?

The idea that humanity might be allowed to innovate during Christ’s reign isn’t far-fetched. As Gonzales put it, he hopes the Lord will “…allow us to see what it could be like done in righteousness to His glory.”

This potential use of innovative technologies could also match up well with God’s divine work and purposes He has for us. Throughout Scripture, work is portrayed as a divine gift, not a punishment. Adam was tasked with tending the Garden of Eden before sin ever entered the picture. “Even there it was a good work… he still had a job to do,” says Gonzales. In the kingdom to come, we may still work—not out of necessity or toil, but with purpose and joy. This principle aligns with God’s nature as a creator and sustainer who calls us to steward His world.

That hope becomes even more compelling when considering promises like Revelation 21:7, which says, “The one who conquers will inherit all things.” Combined with the assurance that we are “heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,” Brainard suggests we’ll inherit not only the new earth but the entire cosmos. “We won’t just look at [the universe] from planet Earth with a telescope.” We may be invited to explore it.

Whatever the specifics will be, one thing is clear: whether we travel on foot or at the speed of light in the age to come, every step will be filled with purpose, discovery and the joy of being with Jesus—the King who makes all things new.

Kim Clement: Israel Stands Alone and the Coming October Shaking

Is a prophetic word about Israel coming to life right now in front of our eyes?

On Sept. 15, 2012, the late prophet Kim Clement gave a startling word about Israel standing alone against their enemies, something we have seen happening in their brave attacks against Iran’s destructive nuclear program.

“Israel, again you are surrounded by enemies,” prophesied Clement. “But today, watch. I, the Lord can change the heart of mankind. You must stand alone. Why? So that I can prove Myself. That I am the Lord, and I have stood with you for millennia. And I will stand with you again.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

The prophecy continues, promising that the Lord will do big and mighty wonders in the month of October.

“In the month of October, I will arise and shake the enemies of Israel, says the Lord,” Clement prophesied.

If something major were to occur this October, it would also stand as a prophetic marker of the anniversary from the Hamas invasion into Israel.

Nearly three years after this prophecy, on May 16, 2015, Clement then heard the Lord speak to him about the roaring sound of a lion. This lion, however, would also have great impact on America as well.

“I cannot help but prophesy, ‘The lion has roared,'” said Clement. “The Lord has spoken…some would say it is the end of this nation. But I keep getting glimpses of light, great light covering one state after the next, even light in the White House. Calling it no longer the White House, but the lighthouse of the world. No longer shall you be called the White House, but the lighthouse, for the world for a season. For I shall once again place somebody that is so cherished by many to bring light to Israel. But for this season it shall stand alone, and I will prove Myself by the produce that shall come from the land of Israel. And for those who bless that land, that I have kept for this time as a sign for the end times, I will bless you, says the Lord.”

This blessing, Clement believed, would be from the keys to the kingdom of heaven that would unlock favor of both material and spiritual blessing. Instead of praying for provision they could dedicate their time and their heart to see others receive salvation and deliverance through Christ.

A few days prior to this, Clement prophesied again that Israel would be “left alone” to “stand alone.”

“But did I not say that I would join you with a host of angels, spirits of just men made perfect. On Zion you shall not stand alone. For no nation shall stand with you for a brief moment that I may prove Myself that from the beginning it was alone that I called you. And now religion shall stand against you. Nations will stand against you. And they shall say, ‘now you’re alone.'”

Clement prophesied that even the Vatican will at one point stand against Israel as well, all so that Israel’s reliance would be totally dependent on the Lord.

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

The prophetic words of Kim Clement are now echoing with stunning clarity as we witness Operation Rising Lion unfold. This operation—marked by Israel’s unprecedented military boldness, increasing global isolation and spiritual intensity—mirrors Clement’s vision of a time when Israel would be forced to stand alone so the Lord Himself could arise and fight on her behalf. As nations distance themselves, alliances fray and even religious institutions turn cold, the “shaking” of October may well be a divine alignment, positioning Israel for her greatest hour of supernatural intervention.

As Israel stands alone, heaven’s hosts are being released, and the stage is being set for an end-time confrontation between light and darkness, truth and deception. This moment may be the beginning of the unveiling of the Lion of Judah’s authority over the nations, a roar that shakes thrones, topples principalities and awakens the remnant.

For believers, this is a call not to fear but to stand in unwavering intercession, aligning with heaven’s agenda as the Lord prepares to demonstrate His glory through Israel, the church and the unfolding drama of the end times.
