Author and prophecy expert Todd Hampson, in a conversation with journalist Billy Hallowell, called the article “a hit piece on Christianity,” citing its lack of journalistic balance and failure to fairly represent the views it critiques.

The article reportedly paints a caricature of Christians who believe in the rapture and end-times prophecy, suggesting that their theology is shaping American policy in dangerous ways. “It really is just a hit piece on Christianity,” Hampson said, “trying to paint all Christians as 100% behind Donald Trump, seeing him as the chosen one and seeing biblical Christianity as the problem, not the solution.”

Both Hampson and Hallowell noted that the article did not include any voices from the evangelical or prophetic community, only critics. This one-sided approach, they argued, fails the basic test of fair journalism. “It felt like an article that only consulted one side,” Hallowell said, “and it would be a more progressive side, or a side that rejects the rapture and certain elements of end-times theology.”

A central claim of the article is that the word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible. Hampson acknowledged the technicality but explained its theological grounding. “Yes, technically the word ‘rapture’ is not in the original Greek language, but the word harpazo is,” he said, noting it means a sudden snatching away. “That word in Latin is rapturo, from which we get ‘rapture.’ So the concept is there.”

The article reportedly connects rapture theology to real-world events in the Middle East, insinuating that U.S. support for Israel is being shaped more by prophetic expectations than strategic interests. Hampson dismissed this claim as a “straw man argument,” pointing out that while Christians do see prophetic significance in Israel’s existence, support for the nation is also grounded in pragmatic and historical alliances. “From a geopolitical standpoint,” he said, “it makes sense for us to protect Israel when they are being attacked. That has nothing to do with eschatology.”

Hallowell and Hampson note that the piece also took aim at dispensationalism and cited John Nelson Darby as the originator of the theology. But Hampson argued that dispensationalist thinking, particularly a literal interpretation of prophecy, goes back to early church fathers like Irenaeus, a disciple of Polycarp who was taught by the apostle John himself. “Darby didn’t invent anything new,” Hampson said. “He simply systematized what had already been believed in early Christianity.”

The picture grows even darker as he highlights Revelation’s imagery of a revived empire. “The book of Revelation is connected to the book of Daniel. It foretells the rise of a one-world state… linked to the Roman Empire—a resurrected Roman state in some way.” Cahn suggests that Western Europe, specifically the European Union, is fulfilling this prophecy: “It is saying it’s a model for nations to come together and give their sovereignty to an overruling government… It started with the Treaty of Rome.”

One of the most chilling signs, according to Cahn, is the rise of global powers capable of amassing armies in line with biblical prophecy. Revelation speaks of an army 200 million strong, “It just so happens now, there has never been a power that could boast an army of 200 million people, until now… It is a dangerous nation… Its name is, of course, China.”

From the harlot of Revelation, symbolizing sexual immorality, to totalitarian rulers who echo shadows of the beast, Cahn concludes that the end-time signs are not approaching, but unfolding in real time. “We are seeing desecration, abominations, irrationality, the war on God and His people… It’s not natural what you saw. It is desecration. That’s demonic.”

But then, a storm approached from the east, darker than any he had seen before. The Lord spoke and said that if the harvest was not gathered, it would be lost.

Now, exactly 40 years later, Swaggart’s passing echoes the prophetic cycles found throughout Scripture. “Forty represents a generation,” Z explained. “It’s a time of testing, a completion of a season and a moment where mantles are passed.” Much like the transfer from Elijah to Elisha, this moment marks a convergence, a generational shift that demands spiritual awareness.

The symbolism runs deeper. Cotton fields, unlike wheat, reflect a different kind of labor. It is one tied to American soil, sweat and history. It speaks to a remnant rising in America with a media mantle ready to reap where others have sown. “Jimmy Swaggart carried a global media anointing,” said Z. “I believe that same anointing is now being released on a new generation of prophetic voices, particularly through media.”

They both agreed; this moment is not about nostalgia; it’s about responsibility. The old fields are ready, the storm is advancing and a new breed of “oaks of righteousness” (Isa. 61) is rising, anointed and appointed for such a time as this. “There’s an anointing coming to reach people you never thought possible. It has nothing to do with your qualifications, it’s grace,” DiDio said.

Citing Proverbs, he reminds viewers that “life and death is in the power of the tongue,” what we take in influences what comes out.

The heart of his message rests on Ephesians 4:30, which says, “Do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live.” According to K, this verse changes everything for a believer. “When you got saved,” he explains, “you got a new roommate.”

Once the Holy Spirit moves in, how we live must adjust to honor His presence. And unlike a human roommate, the Holy Spirit won’t leave, even when grieved.

Many believers, K warns, forget the Spirit is there. “You go everywhere, He goes. He listens to what you listen to. He watches what you watch.” Yet often, we don’t even ask Him if He wants to join. That silence, he points out, is like riding in a car with someone who never speaks—until they need something.

Instead of living by man-made rules or constant fear of sin, K urges believers to talk with the Holy Spirit and follow peace. “If you don’t have peace about listening to it, watching it, doing it or going there, don’t do it.” Peace, he emphasizes, is how God leads us, while stress and anxiety are not from Him.

True transformation begins not with rules, but with relationship. When the Holy Spirit takes up residence within us, everything changes, not because we’re forced to live differently, but because we desire to honor the One who now lives in us.

Drawing from the Hebrew calendar and biblical parallels, she pointed to the month of Sivan, when Moses received the law at Mount Sinai, as a time that originally demanded humility. “Instead, while Moses was up there getting the Law with the Lord… they pridefully raised a golden calf and worshipped it,” she said. “The enemy dubbed [June] pride month for a few reasons… Pride was the first sin that was ever committed when Lucifer lifted up his heart.”

Referencing Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goeth before destruction,” Grace emphasized that spiritual pride and rebellion are paving the way for judgment: “Destruction can happen without pride, but pride always is lifted up before destruction.”

On June 29, 2025, just before the start of the month, two firefighters were ambushed in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, drawn into a trap at a wildfire. “This is incredibly disturbing,” Grace said. “Apparently, there was an intentional fire started in order to draw firemen in as prey… This is why the Lord is saying, ‘The hunter shall become the hunted.’”

She also highlighted a chilling numerical pattern, noting that the date 6/29/25 contains hidden “9/11” coding: “two plus nine is 11, two plus two plus five is nine, 9/11 is in that date.” Grace further tied this event to another on Jan. 29, 2025, exactly five months earlier, when a jet collided with a black helicopter over Washington, D.C. That date also bears the 9/11 pattern.

The warning is clear: this “jolting July” is not just political, it’s deeply spiritual. “This is a collision course that we as the body of Christ are capable of interceding and thwarting,” she said. “But we must be the watchmen on the wall because if your back is turned, you can’t see what’s coming.”

Christians want miracles, healing and revival—but many haven’t prayed once all week. “You don’t need the Holy Spirit to scroll TikTok,” he says. “You need Him to walk in power.” He challenges listeners to examine their prayer lives and return to their first love.

In a powerful conversation on Kap Chatfield’s Directed Life podcast, Leigh Bortins, the founder of Classical Conversations homeschooling curriculum, raises a vital question for this generation: Is artificial intelligence a tool of the enemy or an urgent wake-up call for the church?

Bortins believes we’re in a “Founding Father moment,” a time when the church must rise with wisdom to steward the technologies rapidly reshaping society. Drawing from her background in aerospace engineering and decades in homeschool education, she warns that general AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, which scrape the internet for information, often produce what experts call “ghosts” and “hallucinations,” false or misleading content that can appear truthful. In contrast, “narrow AI” is built on vetted, expert material and is more reliable, particularly in medicine, law and education.

But Bortins’ concerns go far beyond misinformation. She sees a spiritual battle unfolding as children and adults alike become deeply attached, and even addicted, to their devices. “I’ve watched how parents have struggled to get their children to esteem their siblings or family more than a cell phone,” she said. “That’s just Satan jumping up and down saying, ‘I got your kid.’” For her, the enemy’s strategy is clear: use any tool humans embrace, including technology, to lead them into idolatry.

Yet, this isn’t a call to reject AI altogether. On the contrary, Bortins encourages Christians to engage with it redemptively and use it to carry out our mission as Christians of preaching the gospel. “This is the first time I’ve seen Christians trying to get in front of a technology and explain to folks how to use it well,” Bortins said. With proper discernment and a Christ-centered focus, she believes the church can leverage AI for good and train others to do the same.

She also challenges the church to shift its dependence from worldly systems to God’s economy. Comparing today’s culture to Israel’s bondage in Egypt, Bortins and Chatfield ask whether Christians will continue to look to “Pharaoh” for provision or return to trusting God, who gives the power to create wealth (Deut. 8:18). This, she argues, is central to making wise choices about finances, education and technology.

From a homeschooling perspective, Bortins emphasizes that true education is not about mimicking the public school system at home. It’s about raising up children who think God’s thoughts and walk in His purposes—like Joshua and Caleb, not the ten unbelieving spies. Parents, she urges, must act quickly to “get to their kids before the world does.”

As AI evolves and terms like AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence, and Super AI move from theory to reality, Bortins calls on the church to remain spiritually alert. AI, like any tool, can be used for good or evil. What matters most is who wields it—and for what purpose.

As artificial intelligence becomes more widely accepted and used by more and more people, this is not the moment for Christians to back away from technology, but rather to get out ahead of new inventions and set the tone for how the world should use them in a God-honoring manner.

He recounted how he searched through Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Catholicism, and even Santería, but found no true peace—until he had a supernatural encounter with what he calls the “highest spirit,” Jesus Christ. That moment changed everything. “I didn’t have to strive to be joyful anymore. It was supernatural. His peace and joy came into me.”

The professor listened respectfully and allowed Lorenzo and Storm to pray for him. They prayed in the name of Jesus for a supernatural encounter, that the professor would come to know the one true God. “We honor you for teaching the youth,” Lorenzo said, “but we pray that you would encounter the love of Jesus and teach God’s truth.”

In a reflective moment after the interaction, Lorenzo reminded viewers that while there are many so-called gods in the world—spiritual beings, fallen angels and demonic powers—only one true God exists, revealed through the person of Jesus Christ. He then concluded with an exhortation to fellow believers to study apologetics, learn the Word, and be equipped to lovingly confront deception with truth.

Cahn recounts how the Pilgrims and Puritans sought to “found a society based on God’s Word and religious freedom.” They established covenants like the Mayflower Compact and declared that this new civilization “was to exist for God’s glory and to spread the Gospel.”

John Winthrop, aboard the ship, Arbella, in 1630, put forth the foundational vision for the new land: “We must consider that we shall be as a city on a hill. The eyes of all peoples are upon us.” Cahn points out that “this is the most lasting symbol of America—not the bald eagle, not the flag—that has ever been given from 1630 to now.”

Winthrop’s vision, however, came with a warning. “If we turn away from God, if we deal falsely with Him, if we go after other gods, the gods of our profits like money, our pleasures, then, in effect,” Cahn says, “the judgments that came on ancient Israel would come upon America.” Winthrop’s source for this prophetic charge was Deuteronomy 28, the same words Moses gave to Israel as it prepared to enter the Promised Land.

Cahn highlights the uncanny parallels between ancient Israel and America, especially surrounding 9/11. “America got its shaking on 9/11,” he says. “The enemy came as an eagle swooping on the the very plane that began 9/11 it was carrying a symbol, and the symbol was an image of an eagle swooping down—the same biblical sign of judgment.”

The very city from which the planes took off in Boston was Winthrop’s “city on a hill.” His personal island, Governor’s Island, would become Logan Airport: “the very ground from which 9/11 began.”

After the attacks, Cahn recalls, “people thought, well, people will come back to God… but there was no repentance, no turning and if you don’t turn, there’s no revival.” Since then, he says, “we have killed millions of children in abortion,” and “we now see signs of the persecution of the righteous coming.”

However, Cahn does not leave the audience without hope. “…His promise is good: ‘If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves… I will heal their land.’”

He calls for believers to rededicate their lives daily to Christ, saying, “You are the light of the world… You are the light of America because America’s part of the world… You light it up by boldly shining that light… living for God without fear… Let the chips fall where they may. I am standing for my God no matter what. That’s forever. This is temporary.”

America was born in the shadow of a covenant, a vision rooted in Scripture, marked by dedication to the glory of God. But that light has dimmed. As the nation stands at a historic tipping point, the only hope is repentance, revival and a radical recommitment to the purposes of God.
