Yom Kippur Secrets Revealed: Jonathan Cahn on Deliverance and Forgiveness

Every sin we commit carries a profound truth: it bears the name of Messiah Jesus—Yeshua. Jonathan Cahn emphasizes that this is not just symbolic; it signifies that Jesus claims ownership of our sin. If we hold onto it, we are in possession of “stolen property.” For Jonathan Cahn, the call is clear: give every habit, guilt, shame and transgression to Him, for He is faithful to forgive all of our sins.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, offers a vivid picture of God’s mercy and holiness. Once a year, the high priest would enter the holy of holies, the innermost sanctuary where God’s presence dwelt, to make atonement for the people. This ritual temporarily bridged the separation caused by sin, a separation that began in Eden. Today, believers can experience a spiritual parallel: reconciliation with God through confession, humility and surrender.

Cahn brings this ancient practice to life by demonstrating the language and melodies of biblical prayer. Through intercession that invokes God’s mercy and righteousness, believers are invited into a deeper awareness of His presence. “Our Father, our King, have mercy on us. Create in us righteousness and love,” Cahn teaches, connecting us to centuries of faithful worship.

The ultimate fulfillment of Yom Kippur is found in Messiah. Isaiah 53 foretold that He would carry our sins, sorrows and judgment, bringing healing and peace. In the ancient ritual, two goats represented this truth: one for sacrifice, one for release into the wilderness. Messiah fulfills both roles—He died for our sins and bore them away, removing them entirely from our lives.

Cahn emphasizes practical application. Whatever our sin—whether shame, habit, perversity or rebellion—we are to bring it to God. Like the scapegoat sent into the wilderness, our sins are cut off, uninhabitable and cannot return—unless we dwell on them. Starve the sin. Refuse to entertain it, and it loses power over your life.

This principle extends beyond personal sin. Cahn warns that when a culture rejects God, it invites darkness to take root. America and the West, historically delivered from paganism, have increasingly pushed God out, allowing destructive spirits to influence morality, sexuality and family. Yom Kippur reminds believers not only to confess and surrender personally but also to intercede for the nation, casting out spiritual strongholds and reclaiming ground for God’s kingdom.

Yom Kippur reveals the depth of His mercy and the power of His atonement. When we surrender our shame, guilt and habits, we are set free—not only from the weight of sin but also from its ongoing influence. We are called to participate actively, sending away sin and embracing God’s cleansing, mercy, and love.

In a world filled with confusion, immorality and spiritual darkness, this ancient ritual becomes profoundly relevant. Messiah has gone before us, bearing our sins and removing them entirely. The invitation is simple: give it to Him, trust His atonement, and walk in freedom.

Battle of Spiritual Portals: How to Discern God’s Gateways from Darkness

Christians seeking understanding about spiritual experiences are being urged to discern carefully between encounters rooted in God’s kingdom and those linked to the spirit world dominated by darkness.

In a recent discussion with Sergio Chavez, Kap Chatfield emphasized that, “the enemy cannot create anything. He just counterfeits everything that belongs to God,” framing a distinction that underpins much of the conversation about spiritual portals.

The conversation highlighted that portals—spiritual gateways or openings—are a biblical concept, even if the term itself does not appear in Scripture. “[Jacob] was having a vision…there’s a ladder from heaven and there are angels ascending and descending. That was a portal,” Chavez explained, referencing Genesis 28. The discussion also drew on the New Testament, noting that prayer and worship can open heavenly portals, as seen in Acts 16 when Paul and Silas prayed at midnight and in Acts 2 when the disciples were praying in the upper room. “Something physical happened because they were praying and praising…they opened up a portal,” Chavez said.

The two also warned of counterfeit portals. Many experiences in New Age retreats, psychedelic ceremonies and other occult practices are real, but they are rooted in the kingdom of darkness. “It’s hard to imagine that these are just physical experiences and these are just like figments of their imagination… these are actually very spiritual encounters.” Chatfield explained, highlighting the genuine spiritual activity present in these encounters.

The conversation stressed that discernment is essential. “Jesus describes Himself as the is the eternal portal,” Chavez said. Biblical practices such as prayer, intercession and meditation on Scripture remain the safe path to opening spiritual portals in alignment with God’s kingdom.

Paws and Prayer? Episcopal Churches to Hold Blessing Ceremonies for Pets and Plushies

For some, pets are more than a furry friend; they really are family.

According to Yahoo News’ The Oklahoman, a variety of Episcopalian churches are gearing up for a day of blessing pets and stuffed animals. These animal blessings are part of the day of St. Francis on Oct. 4, with many of the churches having “Blessing of the Animals” programs. For many, this includes cats, dogs and other critters. The participating churches ask that the pets are on leashes or inside of carriers, as well as being fully vaccinated.

However, not only can people seek for their pets to get blessed. If congregants desire, some are allowing stuffed animals to get blessed as well. For example, as The Oklahoman noted, St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral is allowing, “children and the young at heart” to “bring stuffed animals to all services that day.”

According to Patch, Blessing of the Animals celebratory events in Tampa, FL at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church is allowing guests to bring, “…dogs, cats, pigs, hamsters [and] birds…” The pets are also set to receive St. Francis medals and a prayer booklet for pets.

For years, believers have prayed over their pets, asking God to watch over them in times of sickness or loss. The question of whether animals go to heaven has also stirred conversation among Christians. While Scripture affirms that God deeply cares for all His creation, He has given mankind a unique role as image-bearers of God, possessing an eternal spirit that sets people apart from the rest of creation.

Blessing a child’s toy may hold sentimental value, but believers must remember that such objects are not alive and cannot receive God’s care the way living animals can. The risk is that well-meaning traditions could blur the lines between symbolic gestures and biblical truth.

Ultimately, while our furry and feathered friends don’t share in the eternal Spirit of God the way humans do, they remain a reminder of His creativity and kindness toward His children. It is us as the human race which alone has been created in God’s image and given the greatest blessing of all: the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Thousands Flock to Temple Mount for Historic 40 Days of Prayer Ahead of Yom Kippur

Before the Day of Atonement, thousands in Israel have spent time gathering night after night lifting up their prayers to the Lord at the Temple Mount.

In a powerful video by the Temple Institute, thousands can been seen gathered in prayer and supplication.

“A nation still at prayer in anticipation of Yom Kippur,” The Temple Institute wrote on the post. “Every night for 38 days now, tens of thousands of Jews gather together for prayer at the foot of the Temple Mount.”

The Temple Institute noted that the intercession includes “Selichot prayers,” which are recited every day from the start of Elul until the evening of Yom Kippur, marking a total of 40 days. During this particular day of prayer, hostages who had been freed from the “Gaza torture tunnels,” lifted up their prayers to the Lord in the middle of the crowd.

The number of days of prayer carries deep symbolic weight throughout Scripture. From Moses spending 40 days on Mount Sinai to Jesus fasting 40 days in the wilderness, the number marks a time of testing, preparation and spiritual breakthrough. This 40-day time of prayer to conclude on Yom Kippur also highlights the call for national and spiritual atonement, a cry for mercy, and a plea for God’s presence to return to His people.

This is all happening while at the same time world leaders are seeking a peace plan between Israel and Gaza. The convergence of these events—intense prayer on the Temple Mount, the conclusion on Yom Kippur, and the push for a political peace plan—shows prophetic fulfillment happening right in front of our eyes.

A Prophetic Moment? Trump Aims to Bring ‘Eternal Peace’ to the Middle East

President Trump is pursuing a path to become a global peacemaker by advancing a 20-point peace plan for Gaza.

In a meeting on Monday with Benjamin Netanyahu, the president announced how they could establish “eternal peace in the Middle East,” as the New York Post reported.

Part of this peace plan includes a group of peacekeepers that would make up a “Board of Peace,” with Trump himself being the chairman of this board.

“We discussed how to end the war in Gaza. But it’s just a part of the bigger picture, which is peace in the Middle East, and let’s call it eternal peace in the Middle East,” Trump said.

As of right now, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Pakistan, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates have given praise to Trump for this initiative. The New York Post noted that these countries, “welcome President Donald J. Trump’s leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza.” These nations are also prepared to “engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties toward finalizing the agreement…”

Trump noted that Israel and the other Middle Eastern nations asked him to be the chair of this potential peace board.

Within this 20-point plan, Gaza would become a “deradicalized terror free zone,” it would be rebuilt to greater benefit the people who live there and the war could end effectively if all terms are met, including the return of the Israeli hostages.

From a prophetic perspective, President Trump’s 20-point peace plan could be seen as aligning with the biblical pattern of a global leader pursuing peace in the Middle East—a key theme in end-times prophecy. Scripture in Daniel 9:27 and 1 Thessalonians 5:3 speaks of a time when a covenant of peace will be established, yet the world will be deceived as the stage is set for the rise of the Antichrist. The gathering of nations around a single peace initiative and the call for global cooperation may reflect a time when humanity seeks security and unity, unaware that deception is on its way.

This moment, though unprecedented, invites the Church to watch, pray, and remain steadfast in faith, understanding that true eternal peace comes only through the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Pete Hegseth Sets New Tone for Military: Fitness, Character and No More ‘Toxic Leaders’

Secretary Pete Hegseth called in hundreds of generals and admirals to Quantico to unveil a new era of military standards and guidelines.

As CBS News shared, Hegseth discussed the change of the department’s name to the Department of War, and spoke of “toxic leaders” that led to wokeism in the Defense Department. Hegseth also spoke about how this will be the end of “dudes in dresses.”

NBC quoted Hegseth, stating that if the officers do not like this new take on the military, then they should resign.

“If the words I’m speaking today are making your heart sink, then you should do the honorable thing and resign.”

For Hegseth, this is the end of what “foolish and reckless political leaders” had established prior to the current administration. He also vowed that fitness would be top priority, speaking about “fat troops” and how, “it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon and leading commands around the world. It’s a bad look.”

Tightened grooming standards will also be implemented as well.

“No more beards, long hair, superficial individual ‘re going to cut our hair, shave our beards and adhere to standards,” said Hegseth. “We don’t have a military full of Nordic pagans, but unfortunately, we have leaders who either refused…[to] enforce standards or leaders who felt like they were not allowed to enforce standards.”

Ultimately, he made it clear that if these basic criteria cannot be met, “…it’s time for a new position or a new profession.”

As NBC further explained, Hegseth notes there will be “no more walking on are liberating commanders and NCOs. We are liberating you.”

This applies to the fact that there will be “No more frivolous complaints, no more anonymous complaints, no more repeat complaints…” He also noted that segregation, discrimination and sexual harassment are immoral and against the law, and those who do these acts will have consequences that are “ruthlessly enforced.”

Hegseth further gave a prayerful reminder to the generals to pray for the safety and the wisdom of their soldiers. “Go forth and do good things. Hard things. President Trump has your back, and so do I.”

Coming to center-stage, the president discussed how the administration is planning to invest $1 trillion in the military next year.

As CBS quoted, Trump said the military is, “…bringing back a focus on fitness, ability, character and strength, and that’s because the purpose of the American military is not to protect anyone’s feelings. It’s to protect our republic.”

“Together, we’re re-awakening the warrior spirit,” Trump said.

As the military seeks to restore discipline, courage and honor, Christians are called to pray that America’s leaders and soldiers alike will not only uphold righteous standards outwardly, but also walk in integrity before the Lord. Ultimately, the greatest victory comes when a nation turns its heart back to God, for only then can its warriors be truly equipped to defend truth and freedom.

Kim Clement and the Turning Point of America: Prophecy Fulfilled?

As we continue to see prophetic words come to pass by the late Kim Clement, one in particular just may be in progress: America is at a Turning Point.

On Mar. 12, 2012, Clement said that he could sense a corruption and exposure that would be coming to light, and it would happen through a “strange happening.”

“I sensed corruption after that, and then an exposure of this by a strange happening, a strange turn of events,” Clement said. “…the strange happening or strange turn of events that will literally be the turning point in American , repent.”

Clement described how this Turning Point would arise from a bitter season, one that challenges hearts and minds, yet ultimately yields sweetness: “I knew if I’d spit it out, I would not have tasted the is bitter will turn out to be sweet.” Using the story of Samson and the lion, Clement illustrated how attacks and trials—though bitter at first—can produce life, strength and unexpected blessing. Just as Samson discovered honey in the carcass of the lion that once attacked him, Clement taught that moments of national bitterness can bring restoration and spiritual awakening if God’s people respond with faith, prayer and unity.

This prophetic theme of a “Turning Point” is taking on a renewed significance in light of the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. While Clement spoke of a moment when America would face bitter challenges that would ultimately yield something sweet, Kirk’s passing seems to be one of those bitter moments birthing unexpected spiritual fruit.

In the weeks following Kirk’s death, reports have surfaced of an unprecedented number of young people turning to Christ, seeking hope, truth and reconciliation amid cultural chaos. What initially appeared as loss and sorrow is now revealing itself as a catalyst for spiritual awakening, echoing Clement’s message that God can transform bitter circumstances into moments of sweetness and divine restoration.

As America navigates this pivotal moment, Clement’s vision serves as a reminder that God is always at work behind the scenes. The bitterness of trials, corruption and national unrest is never the final word. Those who seek reconciliation, prayer and spiritual alignment with God will witness the sweet fruits of His providence—a turning point not only for the nation but for the hearts of its people.

Witch Behind Charlie Kirk Curse Wants to Speak to Erika Kirk

Just days before his assassination, witches were paid by the left-wing website, Jezebel, to put curses on Charlie Kirk. Now, the witch who cursed Kirk is speaking out, and her understanding of the spiritual world is perhaps just as scary as the curses.

According to Yahoo News’ Blast, the witch, priestess Lilin, is saying that she did not mean for physical harm to come Kirk’s way, and would like to have a private conversation with Erika Kirk.

“We regret any distress experienced. What we do is done based on an impartial perspective and at a professional level,” Lilin told the Daily Mail. “We respect the widow’s feelings and welcome a private conversation to address her concerns.”

Lilin reportedly did not believe that her spiritual curses could reap any physical harm on Kirk.

To order Jenny Weaver’s new book, The Wicked World of Witchcraft, visit .

“Our spells are spiritual in nature and we do not perform actions that are intended to cause physical harm,” said Lilin.

According to Blast, Lilin and another witch, Leamashtu, were contacted by Jezebel through Etsy. Their ritual supposedly included burning a picture of Kirk. After he died, Lilin said that, “…While we cannot and would not claim responsibility for Mr. Kirk’s death, we do affirm the magic we work with in our daily lives is very real.”

Perhaps one of the most horrifying things the witch said was that she believes: “Summoning demons and communicating with spirits were not inherently ‘evil acts…’ The The spiritual community views demons as multi-faceted Spirits and not one-dimensional big bad evils. Mediumship is also perceived as an ethically neutral practice…”

This horrific curse was brought up to the Kirk’s prior to Charlie’s death, and the two had a Catholic priest pray over Charlie, as Megyn Kelly described.

This tragic situation is a sobering reminder that the spiritual realm is not a playground and that every action taken there carries real consequences. Scripture warns that “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy,” and summoning demons and casting spells open doors to forces of darkness. Christians must be discerning, recognizing that what is called “ethically neutral” in occult circles is, in reality, participation with powers that oppose God.

The death of Charlie Kirk and the confessions of the witch who cursed him should serve as a wake-up call: engaging with occult practices is not harmless spirituality but an invitation to destruction. Believers must remain vigilant, prayerful and rooted in Christ—understanding that spiritual warfare is real and that dabbling in darkness can unleash consequences far beyond what anyone intends.

Jonathan Cahn Slams Tucker Carlson and Blasphemous Nun Over Israel Lies

Recently, Tucker Carlson teamed up with an Eastern Orthodox nun to broadcast a provocative message to millions, claiming that Israel is harming Christians, that Hamas is “good” and that traditional Christian eschatology is false. In a passionate response video, Jonathan Cahn provided biblical clarity and historical context for believers.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

On Carlson’s broadcast, the nun, Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos, made sweeping claims, including that Israel is “actually causing the Christian population in Israel to decrease.” According to Cahn, these assertions are completely inverted. “First of all, it’s decreasing all over the Middle East. Why is that? There’s no Israel in Syria. There’s no Israel in Saudi Arabia. There’s no Israel in Iraq. But in these places, Christians are being persecuted, coerced, subjected… attacked, and killed by Muslim rule,” he explains. In contrast, the Christian population in Israel is actually increasing, even under Israeli sovereignty.

Carlson and Stephanopoulos also attempted to diminish the threat of Hamas. The nun portrayed Hamas as a “resistance” and even suggested they were “wonderful people.” Cahn responded sharply: “The Bible says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.’ The truth is Hamas is evil, evil, evil… They massacred innocent fathers, mothers and children.”

Stephanopoulos’ most startling claims extended to eschatology. The nun ridiculed the rapture and the thousand-year reign of Messiah Jesus, labeling them heresy. Cahn counters with Scripture: “The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God. The dead in Messiah will rise first. After that, we who are still alive… will be caught up together with them in the clouds.” On the millennium, he points to Revelation 20:4-6: “They came to life. They reigned with Messiah for a thousand years… They will be priests of God and of Messiah, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Cahn makes it clear: “What part of a thousand years do you not understand?”

Jonathan Cahn’s response serves as both correction and call to clarity. As he warns, “To condemn what the Bible clearly says as heresy is itself heresy… The Word of God is the Word of God.”

For believers, standing with Israel, upholding the truth of Scripture and recognizing the reality of spiritual and geopolitical threats is essential in these turbulent times.
