Unveiling Generational Curses: Discovering Hidden Truths in Scripture

Generational Curses Unveiled

Generational curses, while not explicitly outlined in Scripture, have long fascinated believers. These enigmatic curses are revealed in two distinct ways: by unintentionally stumbling upon them or by actively searching for them. These methods of discovery bear a striking resemblance to the parables of Jesus, where profound truths are unearthed either by accidental discovery or intentional pursuit.

In the Gospel of Matthew (13:44), Jesus tells the parable of a person who stumbles upon a hidden treasure in a field, akin to believers stumbling upon the mysterious phenomenon of generational curses. This usually occurs during conversations between believers, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, who reveals unnoticed hereditary patterns of behavior as the root cause of personal struggles. The individual then recognizes this revelation and embarks on a quest for deeper understanding.

The second mode of discovery involves someone being made fully aware of this treasure—either through divine direction or other means—and intentionally embarking on a quest for it. Once again, Jesus’ parables provide insight, such as the one found in Matthew 13:45, illustrating the pursuit of truth until it is found. This concept aligns with the belief that most profound truths are unveiled through stumbling upon or actively seeking them. The late Myles Munroe encapsulated this idea, emphasizing that “Nothing is yours until you discover it.”

The Search for Hidden Truths

The book of Proverbs reinforces this notion with the passage, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter” (Prov. 25:2, NASB). Throughout Scripture, God draws attention to the topic of generational curses, inviting those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to engage in the pursuit of understanding these spiritual mysteries.

As Mark 4:11–13 (KJV) states, “Unto you, it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God.” This book serves as a guide for readers to gather the clues they have accumulated over the years and arrive at a single conclusion: a Christian can have an active generational curse in their life due to ignorance, inheritance or invitation. While redemption breaks the power of the curse, it does not eradicate its presence, similar to how Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross broke the power of sin but did not eliminate its presence.

The apostle John reminds us that even after salvation, believers may sin during their journey of sanctification. In such instances, they must not only confess their sins and turn away from them but also allow God to cleanse them of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, KJV). This cleansing involves identifying and addressing the root causes that empower sin.

The term “cleanse us from all unrighteousness” encompasses finding and addressing what continues to give sin its legal hold on a believer, leading them to sin in specific areas. While believers often focus on confessing sins, they must also allow God to cleanse them, breaking the curse and unrighteousness that enable sin to persist.

A Path to Spiritual Freedom

The encouraging news is that God, not only faithful and just in forgiving sins but also a loving Father, helps believers identify and cleanse themselves from the curses that empower sin. This process of revelation and cleansing marks a significant step in the journey toward spiritual freedom and wholeness.

Unmasking False Prophets With Mario Murillo

One of the gifts of the Spirit is the gift of prophecy. The new testament is full of stories about prophecy. Paul foretold his own arrest, and he teaches the early church that they must test prophecy.

With the modern Pentecostal/charismatic renewal came the resurgence of the gifts, and in the past few decades a prophetic movement has developed. Men like Bishop Bill Hamon and the late Peter Wagner were well known for teaching on the prophetic and the importance in the life of the church.

In my new book Spirit-Led Living in an Upside-Down World I have an entire chapter about this and give examples of how modern-day prophets have made a huge difference. I also tell some stories of where I’ve been prophesied to or have seen prophecies come true, one of which was the prophecy by Kim Clement that someone like Donald Trump would be elected president for two terms.  My book God and Donald Trump was my effort to document those prophecies that came true with Trump’s election in 2016.

8 Ways to Navigate the Dark Path of Grief

‘ve lost three close friends during the past two years. Robert and James died in 2021, and Doug died just a few weeks ago, on August 21. You’d think by now that I’d be an expert in how to grieve a loss, especially since I also lost my parents recently. But working through grief is like trying to find your way through a forest in the dark. There is no map. You just have to feel your way through it.

Grief is a strange combination of emotions that can include both pain and numbness, and both sadness and anger. I’ve read many books and articles about grief, and I’ve talked to pastors and counselors. What has helped me most is knowing that I’m not alone. Plenty of people have traveled down this road before me.

If you or someone you love is suffering from a painful loss, these guidelines will help:

1. It’s okay to cry. When we cry, it’s like letting the pressure out of a steam kettle; it’s never healthy to hold back tears. John 11:35 reminds us that Jesus wept after His friend Lazarus died. Jesus was the Son of God, but He was also fully human and He experienced the same emotions we do. Matthew Henry wrote: “Tears are a tribute to our deceased friends. When the body is sown, it must be watered. But we must not sorrow as those that have no hope; for we have a good hope through grace both concerning them and concerning ourselves.”

2. Look for the lighter side. My father said a lot of funny things during the last months of his life because he was brain damaged, so I kept a list of his comments. If our loved ones are in God’s presence now, certainly we can rejoice even while we grieve. Try to recall the funny things your loved ones said or did, and your laughter will be like doses of the best medicine.

3. Take a break. It’s vital for us to hit the pause button after a death and savor the memories. We need to mute the background noise of life so we can meditate on all the ways our loved ones blessed us. Music is also a gift in those sacred moments. Sometimes I listen to my dad’s favorite Big Band music from the 1940s because it reminds me of him. I have also found incredible strength from the hymn “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross,” which we sang at my mother’s funeral.

4. Think about heaven. Colossians 3:2 (NASB 1995) says: “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on the earth.” It does the soul good to meditate on the reality of eternal life. After my dad died, I read the excellent book “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn. Don’t lose sight of the fact that if your loved ones were Christians, you are going to see them again.

5. Make a memorial. Both my parents are buried in a cemetery near my house, so I can visit that special place. But you can also enshrine your memories in other ways. I have a corner in my study where I keep my father’s World War II photos. I’m planting hydrangeas in my backyard because they were my mother’s favorite flower. I also cherish a framed photo of my spiritual mother, June, who died in 2020.

6. Talk to others. It’s tempting to hide in a cave when we are at a low point. But the worst thing you can do after a loss is isolate. We need each other, especially during times of mourning. Join a grief support group and talk regularly with friends. You need hugs, loving words and extra encouragement. I have another close friend, Jeff, who was friends with Doug; we make a point to talk often so we can process our pain together.

7. Write down your thoughts. Journaling is important when you are grieving. The flowers you received during a funeral will die quickly, but the memories you write down will last. After my friend Doug’s death, I realized I had many of his texts still in my phone. I made a point to save them so I can go back and read his words of encouragement.

8. Stay active. Grief can sap your energy and make you tired. It’s important to get plenty of rest—but don’t sleep all day or abuse alcohol, drugs or food to find the comfort that only God can give. If possible, take a mental health break from work; if you can’t do that, at least make sure you have time for exercise. A long walk outdoors can be the best therapy.

“The death of a beloved is an amputation”—that’s how C.S. Lewis described the loss of his wife in his book “A Grief Observed.” You may never fully recover from losing a loved one, but the scar of that loss is a permanent reminder of how much you loved them. Even though grief is a dark path, the Lord will walk beside you all the way. {eoa}

Rabbi Schneider Shares Chloe Cole’s Powerful Detransitioner Testimony

Rabbi Kirt Schneider is exposing the kingdom of darkness permeating through the transgender movement through his interview with detransitioner activist, Chloe Cole. Like so many others her age, Cole was exposed to the LGBT agenda that made her question her validity as a female, which led her to transition to a boy as a teenager.

“I decided at 12 that I was a boy and this gender transition spanned through pretty much my entire teenage life,” Cole said. “I started medicalization at 13. I started taking puberty suppressants and I was put on cross-sex hormones; I was put on testosterone which is the male sex hormone, and at 15 I underwent a surgery to remove my breasts permanently.”

While Cole was living what she thought was her dream of becoming a boy, she quickly found out this was a massive mistake.

“It was only a year afterward though, at 16, that was when I decided that I couldn’t keep doing it because the surgery was just too much for me,” Cole said. “It was a great shock to me in pretty much every way. The recovery was incredibly difficult; I’m still going through the healing process.”

The biggest lie that the enemy is trying to convince this generation of is that they are not created correctly as they are in the image of male and female. This is how Cole found herself hooked into the LGBT community. After experiencing negative societal messages about femininity, she began to question her worth. The media’s portrayal of femininity as trivial and its failure to celebrate the blessings of womanhood left her feeling lost. She eventually found herself attracted to the transgender community online, where she thought she had found the answers to what she was looking for.

“I started using social media at around the age of 12,” Cole said. “I mainly use Instagram because that’s what all my friends were using and I was seeing a lot of like, very left-wing content. A lot of it was like feminist content, some of it was like LGBT-oriented and overwhelmingly about the transgender community in specific.”

Cole said it was through social media she not only learned about transgender ideologies, but she was also indoctrinated by the pro-choice platform that made her fearful of being a woman.

“The way that they talked about children and unborn babies, like they would use words like ‘parasite’ to describe a baby growing within a mother’s womb and it made me really scared to have a child of my own,” Cole said.

While Cole is not the only young person to be captivated by these deceptions, she hopes that by speaking up and sharing her own experience others will be able to accept themselves exactly as God created them. It is through accepting maleness and femaleness as God designed it that we each can experience true freedom.

“To be able to acknowledge that without any strings attached to your mind, just to accept it is very freeing,” Cole said. {eoa}

The second mode of discovery involves someone being made fully aware of this treasure—either through divine direction or other means—and intentionally embarking on a quest for it. Once again, Jesus’ parables provide insight, such as the one found in Matthew 13:45, illustrating the pursuit of truth until it is found. New Robertson Film Reveals God’s Saving Grace Isn’t ‘Blind’ to Anyone

More than a decade ago, Duck Dynasty hit the airwaves and became a household name, one of the most popular reality shows on television between 2012 and 2017.

But what many don’t know, family member Willie Robertson says, is that the show almost didn’t happen and that the Robertson family became very close to imploding years before that series ever came to the small screen.

The new movie, “The Blind,” which details the chaotic story of Phil and Kay Robertson’s early married life and how Phil, the “Duck Commander,” took on a so-called lifestyle of “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll,” which was exacerbated by a drinking problem when he would get in trouble with the law and had to hide in the woods to evade authorities.

But then Jesus turned Phil’s life around, and he and Kay have now been married for more than 57 years. The family unit, which includes Willie and his brothers Alan, Jase and Jep, is stronger than ever, as the new film reveals.

“In Christianity, we like to forget the past and move on; sins are forgiven,” Willie Robertson told Charisma News’ John Matarazzo during a recent interview. “I think it was tough for Mom and Dad to show that time of their life. I think it’s tough when you go back to make a movie about the darkest time of your life, but they were willing to do that to make sure that if anybody else is in that position, they have a chance to realize that there is hope and redemption, and there can be change when you change your life for the gospel.”

Much of the Duck Dynasty television program focused in on Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family, but with “The Blind,” Willie Robertson says, the story hones in more on his mother, Kay, and “the resiliency to turn something really bad into good.” Though the bad times, Kay Robertson was able to forgive her husband for the wild times and she realized how God could fix any situation. Including one that seemed to be utterly hopeless at times.

Although she had yet to become a Christian, she was able to show Phil the unconditional love Jesus shows sinful believers, waiting for them to simply repent. Willie Robertson says his sense of humor came from his mother, who maintained joy through some very challenging times.

“Mom was always fun, even during the worst [of] times when they weren’t believers. The movie shows that,” Willie says. “Myself, I don’t have any memories of the bad times because most of my memories were when they were believers and the marriage was good. But with mom, I’m sure her sense of humor was a mechanism she had to develop to deal with; not just because of what they came out of in their marriage, but also because we were poor. She always tried to manage everything and pay the bills and raise four boys, which was difficult in a two-bedroom house down there on the river. We were pretty rough-and-tumble boys, but she was great.”

Korie Robertson, Willie’s wife, has developed a great admiration for her mother in-law over the years that she’s been married to Willie.

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up-to-date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

Korie calls Kay Robertson a hero, and she’s grateful that the filmmakers were able to show that side of her.

“She learned how to cook from Phil’s mom and her grandmother, whom she called Nanny, and that’s a big part of who she is,” Korie says. “She cooks for the family and takes care of everybody. When I first came into the family, I definitely saw her heroic nature. At one time, she was a single mom taking care of three boys, and she had to get out there and get a job and take care of the family.

“When I first came into the family, she single-handedly ran the Duck Commander business off the end of the couch. She became a part of every single aspect of the business, but more than that, she held the family together in the good times and the bad. I’m glad we got to show that tremendous love of hers in the movie.”

Kay’s demeanor had a big affect on Phil’s life, Willie says, and it all began with a huge family gesture he made one day to shun his wild friends to take his sons hunting.

“It’s a great scene in the movie, and that’s where you can see Phil’s whole mentality and spirit changing,” Willie says. “He came to the point where now he had to realize that it wasn’t all about him and the had to think about this family.”

Robertson bookThat’s when Phil started working on his duck calls, and Willie says that’s when Phil’s hobby became a business. It eventually led to the television show, and it’s how the Robertson’s became a worldwide phenomenon.

“It’s so amazing how God worked through all that and caught us just at the right time to put all of this together,” Willie says.

“The Blind” releases to theaters nationwide on Sept. 28. Willie says he hopes everyone will come out to see the film and discover that nobody is “too far gone” that can’t be reeled in by Jesus.

“I think it (the movie) has real power through the gospel to change people’s lives,” Willie says.

4 Years Later This Internet Search Engine Bias Is as Blatant as Ever

In his 2019 book “The Madness of the Crowds: Gender, Race and Identity,” Douglas Murray exposed the cultural insanity that has gripped so much of the modern world. He pointed out that, no sooner was there more equality than ever between the sexes that the war on men was launched. And no sooner was there more equality than ever between the races that the war on whiteness was launched.

Murray brought a wide array of arguments to support his theses, but none were more striking than the images that came up on Google searches for specific terms and phrases. It was hard to deny what you could see with your own eyes.

That was back in 2019, and one would think that with such damning revelations, Google would have made some changes. In fact, months before Murray’s book came out, a headline announced, “Google Explains Why Some Image Search Results Look Racist.” (Sorry, but I didn’t find the article convincing in the least, especially given the sophistication of these search engines.)

Murray had pointed out that when you searched Google for “gay couples,” you would see a host of images with gay couples, as expected. When you searched for “Black couples,” you would see a host of images with Black couples, again, as expected.

But if you searched for “straight couples” or “White couples” or “straight, white couples,” the results were anything but what you could expect.

Now, Murray’s book was widely read, and one would think that the embarrassment caused by this information would have brought about some search integrity.

For my part, it was only this year that I dove into “The Madness of the Crowds,” so I decided to check the results for myself. Surely, I would not get the same results Murray got four years later, right? Wrong.

Let’s start with “Black couples,” clicking on Images. My search yielded row after row of Black couples. What do you know!

Now we’ll switch to “gay couples.” What did the Google search engine produce? The same thing. Row after row of images of gay couples, some with their kids, but all male-male or female-female. The only exception was the occasional image of a throuple, but here too, all three participants were gay.

How about “Black gay couples?” Yet again, exactly what you asked for: every image is of a Black gay couple, with “gay” specifically meaning “male.”

Now let’s try “White couples.” What comes up in the search?

The first couple features a White man and a Black woman. The same with the second image (I’m not making this up). The fourth image is that of a Black man and possibly a Hispanic man (the image links to the website, “Loving Interracial Couples”) and the fifth that of a White woman and a Black man.

I tried this on different days and the results were shockingly similar. What in the world is going on?

When I searched for “straight couples,” there was at least one image of a same-sex couple on each of the first three rows, some of the images linked to an article on what straight couples could learn from gay couples.

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up-to-date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

When I searched for “straight White couples”—to repeat, I am not making this up—the very first image that came up was that of a gay interracial couple—chew on that for a moment—a White man and a Black man. To repeat, this was searching for “straight White couples.”

To be sure, there was also a link to a YouTube video titled, “Searching straight white couples on Google Images. Douglas Murray was right!” That video is two years old, yet still, two years later, no change.

Even something as simple as searching for Black Men and then White Men yielded the same results. All Black men for the first search; lots of White men, plus Black men for the second search.

Talk about political correctness on steroids and beyond. Talk about mass manipulation, especially when you realize that the vast amount of manipulation is not so obvious and blatant.

Put another way, the manipulation can be so powerful because you don’t know you’re being manipulated, since you’re actually searching for information in order to learn and be informed. Not everything is as it seems!

Just out of curiosity, I repeated these searches on Microsoft’s Bing.

While the search for Black and gay individuals and couples produced the expected results, the search for White couples yielded the exact opposite. Out of the first six images, every single one featured a multi-racial couple. At the risk of being redundant, I kid you not!

Faith Brown book coverOf the next six images, again, only one featured an all-White couple and one featured an all-Black couple. This is beyond insane.

As for straight couples in Bing, it only took four images before you were introduced to your first same-sex couple, while in the second row of images, there was another same-sex couple followed by a straight couple waving gay pride flags. Naturally!

Finally, searching for straight White couples yielded the following: of the first 11 images, four featured interracial couples, three featured same-sex couples, one featured a Black couple and three featured straight White couples—but again, one of the images featured that same straight couple with the rainbow flags.

How does one say in Latin, “Let the searcher beware?” {eoa}

Praying on Field Again: Perseverance Paying Off for Coach Joe Kennedy

As football returned over the Labor Day weekend, so did a sign of religious freedom in America. In Bremerton, Washington, Coach Joe Kennedy took a knee and prayed at midfield.

It looked like your normal Friday night high school football game, with one major exception.

After enduring an eight-year fight to publicly pray after games, a Supreme Court decision put Bremerton Assistant Football Coach Joe Kennedy back on the sidelines. That ruling meant that he could exercise his First Amendment right to pray.

Shortly after the game ended, Kennedy stood at the 50 yard-line at Bremerton Memorial Stadium, took a knee and bowed his head in prayer.

Afterward, the coach told a throng of waiting reporters what he prayed.

“I said ‘thank You’ probably 30 times,” he shared. “I had no other words. What do you say to the One who got me here to begin with?”

He referred to the lawsuit against the Bremerton School District, filed after he was fired for publicly praying. The Supreme Court ruled last year that the district had violated his constitutional rights.

“What we asked for from the Supreme Court and all the courts was just to be able to be a coach, and to be able to pray after a football game,” Kennedy stated.

He added, “What an awesome way to come back after an eight-year battle.”

The city of Bremerton is Coach Joe Kennedy’s boyhood home. He loves this place. It’s both picturesque and blue-collar, and it’s that hardscrabble approach that he needed to fight the eight-year ordeal.

AI Fake Bible Verse Raising Calls for Biblical Literacy

Biblical literacy is a tragic issue in the church today. A recent Lifeway Research study found that only 45% of those who regularly attend church read the Bible more than once a week.

It is because of believers’ ignorance in God’s Word that many, as the Bible states in Scriptures like Romans 16:18, will be deceived in the end times. That Bible passage reads: “For such people do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, and through smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.”

Here is an example:

The LGBTQ and transgender communities are so intent on America—and the world—accepting their lifestyles that they are using artificial intelligence—specifically ChatGPT—to generate fake Bible passages confirming how Jesus accepts these individuals’ sexual preferences. Some secular media outlets are touting the passages as “much-needed” tolerance, and therefore confusing those who don’t fully know God’s Word even further.

The Christian Post recently reported that a social media user on Reddit who was “feeling sad” asked ChatGPT to generate a Bible passage about accepting trans people. Posted in the “r/trans” channel by a user, the quote was cleverly crafted to sound like a legitimate Bible verse:

“Jesus looked upon her with kindness, replying, ‘my child, blessed are those who strive for unity written within themselves, for they shall know the deepest truths of My Father’s creation. Be not afraid, for in the kingdom of God, there is no man or woman, as all are in one spirit. The gates of My Father’s kingdom will open for those who love and are so loved, for God looks not upon the body, but the heart.'”

The passage is found nowhere in Scripture. To the Reddit poster’s credit, that person said, “I know it’s not real, but it gave me comfort.”

The latter part of that quote is where the deception can begin and can spread like wildfire.

The Advocate, a pro-LGBT media outlet, exacerbated the fake verse with a headline that read, “ChatGPT Writes Trans-Affirming Bible Verse” and, in the accompanying article, called it “an affirming example of tolerance.”

The AI-generated verse was further exalted by astrology expert John Sundholm who wrote on that it “is likely much needed given the all-out attacks being launched against transgender people by America’s right-wing, nearly all of it in God’s name. … This verse has special resonance in 2023 because of the virulent transphobia and anti-[LGBT] sentiment and legislation that continues to sweep the country—much of it supported and funded by Christians.”

As Charisma News recently reported, the AI app for iPhone, where users can submit questions to a chatbot, “While quoting Scripture, the app still implies that decisions like abortion or getting a transgender-affirming surgery are a matter of “following your heart’ for doing what you believe is best for your life.”

As Colossians 1:10 reminds us, we must “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,” which means following the Holy Spirit every step of the way—especially if the world or AI runs contrary to Scripture.

Charisma News columnist Dr. Michael Brown says that it is “preposterous” to imagine that AI, using information found in the Bible, could generate a comment that contradicts the Bible.

Brown dissected the ChatGPT-generated Bible verse:

“Does the passage really violate the spirit and substance of the Bible? Does it put unimaginable words on the lips of Jesus? Let’s put aside the claim that ‘those who strive for unity within themselves … shall know the deepest truths of My Father’s creation,’ a claim that neither makes logical sense nor has any biblical foundation.

“Instead, let’s focus on the substance of the rest of the manufactured words of Jesus. And then let’s ask a deeper, real-life question. What would Jesus say to a trans-identified person?

akers intelligence“We are told that He looked upon this person with kindness. Does this sound like Jesus? Absolutely … And there is truth to the claim that in God’s kingdom, there is neither male nor female. … We are all equal in Jesus … But his doesn’t mean that gender distinctions should be blurred or transgressed. … The whole Bible, including the New Testament, makes gender distinctions, giving specific instructions to husband and wives, and recognizing only two sexes.”

Creationist Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis, responds to the ChatGPT Bible verse by saying, that just because God accepts anyone who comes to repentance in the faith doesn’t mean that He “accepts us in the way our culture accepts trans-identifying individuals. … And salvation means that God will not leave you in our sin and your false identity.”

For anyone who is biblically literate, they know that John 8:11 says, “If you are his child, he will sanctify you and call you to leave your life of sin, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow him.”

The moral: ChatGPT cannot save you. Only Jesus and God’s true word can.
