Is America Destined to Become Like Sodom and Gomorrah?

Sodom and Gomorrah were real cities and real people lived there. These were notoriously sinful cities that God warned but eventually destroyed because of their wickedness (Gen. 19:24).

These cities, infamous for their debauchery and homosexuality, are mentioned 23 times in Scripture.

When Jesus taught about judgment, He referred to Sodom and Gomorrah (Matt. 10:15). Historians acknowledge them; Muslims and Jews record their existence along with their decadent behavior. Billy Graham told us, “If God doesn’t judge America, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

In World War II, the Allies bombed Hamburg, Germany, killing 40,000 with one of the largest fire storms of the war. The name of their operation: “Operation Gomorrah.”

Before the annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah by a rain of fire and brimstone (sulfur), God sent two angelic individuals to advise good people to leave but, except for one righteous man, Lot, who took his family and departed, masses ignored the coming peril and suffered with their lives. These men were welcomed into Lot’s home, but the depravity of the city was manifested when a group of Sodomites descended on the residence saying they wanted to engage in homosexual activity with the guests. God mercifully spared the righteous ones by striking blind the gay men enabling Lot’s family to evacuate.

Survey the Scene

Across America what do we now see? “LGBTQ Celebration! Gay Pride! Drag Show! Trans Festival! Same Sex Wedding! Pride Nite! Lesbian Filmfest! Gay Parade! Queer Cruise! Campus Pride Week!” The current bombardment often includes public displays of seductive attire.

“They parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it” (Isa. 3:9). “They not only continue to do these various things [homosexuality & lesbianism] but also approve of those who practice them” (Rom. 1:32b).

Edward Gibbon, in his classic work on the fall of the Roman empire, described the Roman era’s declension as a place where “bizarreness masqueraded as creativity.” Have you seen clips of “family friendly” and “all ages” drag shows or Pride events like the recent one Biden held on the lawn of the rainbow-lit White House with over 3000 LGBTQ celebrants ecstatic that marriage was officially redefined?

Are you aware that at “The People’s House” (The White House) there are almost daily briefings led by “The Most Powerful Lesbian in America” … “The Face of the White House” … “The Voice of Biden, his administration and his agenda”? Raised Catholic, Karine Jean Pierre’s cover story says, “Biden is surrounded by LGBTQ people” … “helping change America” (The Advocate 11/22).

When I wrote about the avalanche of Gay propaganda blanketing America, Ellen DeGeneres ridiculed me on national TV (see response).

Days ago, USA Today’s sports writer, Nancy Armour, vilified iconic Christian Tony Dungy for “bigotry” then misled readers on the teachings of Jesus saying “nowhere in the Gospels does Jesus say anything about homosexuality or gay marriage” (1/23/23). He may not have used the terms (He never said “porn, cocaine, pedophile” either) but Jesus honored holiness and heralded traditional marriage as God’s only way.

3 Brutal Realities

1. America is in a downward spiral of judgement. “Therefore, God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts to dishonor their own gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged the natural function for what is against nature. Likewise, the men leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men doing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty (AIDS, STD’s and effeminate characteristics?) of their error” (Rom. 1:26-27).

This is sexual perversion not merely an “alternate lifestyle” that needs to be accepted by a “more tolerant” generation.

In April 1993 the cover of Time Magazine featured a cross emblazoned with the words: “The Generation That Forgot God.” As Baby Boomers heralded the “Dawning of the Age of Aquarius” launching the gay, sexual, feminist “sex-drugs-and rock ‘n’ roll revolution,” we cast off restraints and continue reaping horrific consequences.

America is being turned over to our own self-indulgence, which takes us on the path to destruction, unless there is national repentance, revival and reformation. “Consider the goodness and severity of God” (Rom. 11:22). We sing “God is so good” but bypass when “God is so mad.”

2. Many Christian leaders are sending mixed signals or remaining silent. The Pope says practicing homosexuality is still sinful but the Catholic Church needs to “welcome” gay people into the church.

Andy Stanley praises “the faith” of gay people who attend church.

Amy Grant hosts a lesbian wedding telling us “Everybody is welcome with God… it doesn’t matter how we behave.”

Remember when Tammy Faye Bakker advocated for LGBTQ issues plus co-hosted a program with a gay man?

Confusion and compromise come from these examples of mixed signals from prominent Christians.

Succumbing to fear and misinterpreting biblical “justice” and “tolerance,” lukewarm leaders remain silent or comfort themselves saying, “God’s sovereign, we have good services, sermons and programs and we’re attracting new folks!”

The Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) and the Cultural Commission (Gen.1:28; Matt. 5:13)—”take dominion over the earth” and be “salt” preventing decay—are two wings but the second is ignored in pursuit of the “Big B’s”: bodies, bucks and buildings. I know this from experience, being “let go” from a large church for doing a video called “Is Gay OK?”

The Bible tells us in the list of those “cast into the lake of fire,” cowards come first (Rev. 21:8)!

3. Many influential leaders don’t speak up lest they be branded “bigots.” Politicians look to the next election. Statesmen look to the next generation. Courageous civil servants must lead the way like Wilberforce did in England to successfully end slavery.

In Billy Graham’s time homosexuality was not the hot button issue but rather Communism/Socialism and racial discrimination.

Billy stood uncompromisingly, forbidding discrimination in his crusades and told us “Courage is contagious” and “Socialism is the devil’s religion.” He won the respect of six presidents over his lifetime.

My father-in-law was part of “The Greatest Generation” that defeated Nazism and Communism. He died in his early 90s, was married almost 70 years and refused to compromise with evil. Dad once asked me, “Why are church leaders afraid to speak up concerning homosexuality?” Just last evening a couple told us of their son being terminated from leading the youth ministry at a church because they objected to him teaching on gay issues.

2023CMPrintcoverEric Metaxas, author of the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, asks similar questions in “Letter to the American Church.” He lays out the disturbing similarities between today’s American Church and the German Church of the 1930s. Echoing the martyred Bonhoeffer’s prophetic call, he exhorts Christians to repent of silence in the face of evil.

Eric says an unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. “Paying lip service to an insipid evangelism they shrink from combating the evils of our time!”

Here’s the Deal: “These are times that try men’s souls” (Thomas Paine, 1776). Learning lessons from that revolutionary time along with those of the Roman empire and Nazi Germany’s demise, may we cast off all complacency and cowardice to rise to the occasion. God is setting before us our call to be beacons of light amidst the increasing darkness. {eoa}

First Woman President?: Eyeing History, Nikki Haley Will Announce Her Run for GOP Nomination on Feb. 15

Nikki Haley only turned 51 on Jan. 20..

But for someone so young, she’s gotten a lot done.

She served as a member of Congress from South Carolina for six years.

She was elected governor of her state twice, serving a total of six years.

Then she was appointed by former U.S. President Donald J. Trump to serve as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

There she received plaudits for fiercely defending and advancing Trump’s “America First” foreign policy.

And staunchly defending Israel against the Jewish state’s many haters at the UN and in the media.

Indeed, her pro-Israel credentials are strong, and she has built close ties to Rev. John Hagee, founder of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), who brought her to Israel for a visit in 2021, and then invited her to address the CUFI annual conference in Washington, D.C., last summer.

Setting Her Sights on the Big Prize

Now, after spending the last two years building a political operation, raising millions of dollars and campaigning for GOP candidates at the state and federal level, she has set her sights on a much bigger prize. Nikki Haley wants to become America’s first woman president.

She is set to make a formal announcement on Feb. 15, according to her hometown newspaper, The Post and Courier.

This will make her only the second Republican to jump into the race after her last boss, Trump himself.

But there are others seriously looking at a run, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, just to name a few.

Or Is She Really Running for Vice President?

Does Haley have a realistic shot? Not according to most public polls.

Real Clear Politics reports that of all the recent polling, Haley is averaging only 3.2% support.

DeSantis, meanwhile, is averaging 30.8%. Trump, the clear frontrunner, is averaging 46.4%.

Many political analysts I’ve spoken to over the past year think Haley is really running for vice president. And many think she’s the odds-on favorite to be almost any Republican nominee’s first choice.

But Haley argues that the polls are irrelevant this far out—and that both the GOP and the nation are looking for leadership from a younger generation.

Biden, after all, recently turned 80 years old. Trump is 76.

“When you’re looking at the future of America, I think it’s time for new generational change,” Haley recently told Fox News. “I don’t think you need to be 80 years old to go be a leader in D.C.” she added. “I think we need a young generation to come in, step up and really start fixing things.

“When you’re looking at a run for president, you look at two things. You first look at, ‘Does the current situation push for new?’ The second question is, ‘Am I that person that could be that new leader?’ You know, on the first question, you can look all across the board, domestic, foreign policy. You can look at, you know, inflation going up, economy shrinking, government getting bigger, you know, small business owners not being able to pay their rent. Big businesses getting these bailouts, all of these things warrant the fact that, yes, we need to go in a new direction.

“So do I think I could be that leader? Yes, But we are still working through things and we’ll figure it out. I’ve never lost a race. I said that then, I still say that now. I’m not going to lose now,” she added.

Given how important the alliance is, All Israel News will be covering the 2024 presidential campaign—on both sides, Democrat and Republican—very closely.

WATCH: 12-Year-Old Pentecostal Preacher Delivers Fiery Sermon on God’s Love

The people who are saying the youth movement in the church is dead haven’t listened to 12-year-old Jonathan Williams preach on love.

In a recent sermon at Consuming Fire Ministries in Champaign, Illinois, the pre-teen son of pastors Tony and Ryane Williams delivered a rousing sermon on John 15:12, which reads, “My command is this. Love each other as I have loved you.”

Wednesday is the first day of the celebration of Black History Month. And what a better way to kick it off than for a fiery, young African-American youth to talk about God’s love for us in this amazing video.

“Praise the Lord, everybody,” Williams greeted the congregation prior to his very first sermon. “Can we get some hands clapping for the Lord?

“What is love? Love is an emotion that keeps people bound and committed to one another. If they love each other, they are committed to each other.

“The reason we love is to please God. When we please God, He loves us back. … If you don’t think that God loves you, you must be out of your mind. He sent His own son, Jesus, to die for us.”

Ryane Williams says that, at age five, her son sat his parents down and told them that “God had called him to be a pastor and to preach.” Since that time, he has been consuming the Bible and preparing himself to do just that.

“When he said that, I asked him the question—and he’s very intelligent—’how do you know God has called you to preach?’ He said, “Mom, I feel it in my heart.’ And still today he aspires to be a pastor. So, hopefully we’ll hand it down to him.”

Tony and Ryane Williams were both brought up in the Church of God in Christ, and they planted a Pentecostal church in Tennessee 15 years ago. In 2016, the Williams’ moved to Champaign and founded Consuming Fire Ministries, a non-denominational church.

2023CMPrintcover “We believe in the five-fold gifting’s, and we have a Pentecostal-Apostolic feel to our services,” Ryane explained, and that the growing church of 60 members leans heavily upon the movement of the Holy Spirit.

She says that she is very proud of Jonathan and the path he has taken, and that he has clung to God’s Word to lead his life.

“As adults we tend to overlook the children,” Ryane said. “But God can move through anyone. He allows his spirit to move. Our youth department definitely growing, and now we are looking for another building because we have so many youth and teenagers. They are excited about what God is doing.” {eoa}

Spirit-Filled Christian Detained in Psych Ward for Testimony

The freedom to worship and testify about one’s faith and the workings of God in their life is central to the founding and uniqueness of America.

So, when an award-winning principal, who shares publicly how the Holy Spirit has filled her heart and she received the gifting of tongues, is summarily detained by law enforcement against her will, it shows something has shifted in the spiritual atmosphere of America.

Mary Fulp is the principal of Colony High School in Palmer, Alaska, and the 2022 Alaska Principal of the Year.

Yet it was not until she shared a Facebook Live video of her radical encounter with God that filled her with the Holy Spirit and she started speaking in tongues, that she was viewed as mentally ill.

Her family became concerned with her mental state and confronted her about this revelation that she shared publicly.

After Fulp said the conversations became unproductive she asked her family to leave.

They refused and called a state trooper to the house who reported Fulp was of “sound mind and body when she met with me.”

“She asked me if I wanted them trespassed and I said, ‘If they don’t leave, then we can have that conversation, but please ask them to leave,'” Fulp wrote on Facebook.

As reported by the Alaska Watchman, “After the children left, Fulp later received a visit from two other troopers who said they had a court order to take her to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for a mandatory psychological evaluation.”

Fulp recorded the entire situation on her phone and streamed it onto Facebook Live.

“It’s called an ex parte order, which means they got the order without your input,” one of the officers explained to Fulp.

“So, they got the order without my input, because I just set some very clear boundaries that I wanted them to back off,” Fulp explained to the officers. “They didn’t honor those boundaries. A trooper came by earlier and asked me if I wanted them trespassed, and I said, ‘Only if they don’t leave.’ So, they left and came back, and this is what I get.

“I’m getting taken to the hospital for claiming that Jesus is King and claiming that I stand with the Marin Luther King civil rights movement … So, I would like to see this show up in the news,” Fulp continued.

Fulp’s video ends when they arrived at the hospital, with the officer instructing her to stop recording due to the sensitive information held within the hospital.

“I mean, I’m claiming all of the biblical principles, and this is where I go – to the hospital because they think I’m crazy, because the world is such a mess that it takes someone bold to say, ‘You got to put things back in their proper order,'” Fulp said. “And so here I am getting a psych eval because I love Jesus.”

Except she was subject to more than just an unlawfully given psych test.

According to a statement released by the Anchorage-based Thompson Law Group who is representing Fulp, her treatment at the hands of hospital staff was representative of a horror film.

“She was strapped to a gurney, held down by several staff and forcibly injected with psychotropic medication without her consent and without a court order authorizing the administration of such medications.

“She spent days in a cold, dark mental health hospital room, during which time staff breached her federally protected HIPAA rights by disclosing their ‘opinions’ as to her circumstances to individuals who did not possess any authorization to receive her federally protected HIPAA private mental health information. This traumatic experience is a free citizen’s worst nightmare, and this broken system has caused her, and her children, inexcusable and immeasurable harm.”

All because she is a professing, Spirit-filled Christian.

The ease with which a Christian was able to be taken from their home, committed to a mental institution and summarily injected with psychotropic drugs is shocking. Never mind the fact that it took place within the United States of America.

Christians must wake up to the wave of persecution that is on its way. All signs point to the devil and his forces influencing policies and officials at all levels of government.

If they do not, and their faith is not built upon the solid rock of Christ, faith will waver, and a wave of apostasy will wash across the country at a rate much greater than what it already is.

But even in the face of such persecution and censorship, the light of Jesus can still shine and radically change the lives of those who have opposed the gospel message.

After these enduring attacks of the enemy, brave souls like Mary Fulp need the prayers of fellow believers to endure and overcome the spiritual assault they are subjected to, and that in the face of persecution, revival may break out with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. {eoa}

Alveda King Says All Ethnicities Deserve Recognition for Making America Great

Alveda King has celebrated Black History Month for many years. She’s proud of the heritage of her people, and what her family has done to enhance the history of the United States of America.

Black History Month began Wednesday and will run through Tuesday, Feb. 28.

After all, her uncle was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader whose ministry impacted millions and continues to impact future generations.

But, she says, it’s not only African Americans who should be lauded with a specially designated celebration. Others, she says, have contributed mightily to making our country great.

“I’ve not talked about this before publicly,” King says. “I was doing some research, and I want to point out how many different ethnicities celebrate their heritage on a special day or a special month. There are many. The Latinos, the Asians, the Native Americans—there are heritage and historic days or months for every ethnic community. In America, there are so many of them. And I was so surprised.

“I said, ‘wow.’ So, it’s appropriate to celebrate ethnicity. That’s a good thing. So, what we do in Black Heritage Month or African American Heritage Month is to acknowledge accomplishments and some of the troubles and pain that we went through to get our freedom. It’s done so that the generations who have yet to come will know all the good things that happened and expand and grow and the things that needed corrections. Then, we’re able to correct some of those things as well.”

Black educators and Black United Students at Kent State University in Ohio first proposed Black History Month in February 1969. The first celebration of Black History Month took place at Kent State a year later, from Jan. 2 to Feb. 28, 1970.

King herself has made a major contribution to the betterment of American culture. She is an activist, an author and a former state representative for the 28th district in the Georgia House of Representatives.

She is a pro-life activist, and serves as the Chair of the America First Policy Institute’s Center for the American Dream.

Several Black leaders in history, including some current ones, have made an impact on King’s life. Harriet Tubman, an escaped slave woman who became a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad, leading enslaved people to freedom before the Civil War, is certainly at the top of the list.

2023CMPrintcoverShe also points to her own pastor, Alan McNair, and individuals like Ben and Candy Carson as African Americans she admires. But there’s also Ernestine, her fifth-grade teacher, who made a big impact on her. And then, of course, is her uncle, MLK.

“There are so many, but I like to talk about the unsung heroes as well,” King says. “There are amazing stories of how these people have lived. We can talk amongst ourselves and our families and our friends and communities. We should take the time to learn and explore about other ethnicities as we celebrate the African American community as part of the American community. We’re all part of the beloved community that my uncle, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was so fond of talking about.” {eoa}

Evangelist John Ramirez Exposing Satanism Infecting America

Spiritual warfare is raging across America, yet few are talking about it or the ramifications that come with it.

The Bible warns Christians of the enemy’s plans, but the deception of the devil has relegated many to the sidelines instead of the frontlines where they are needed.

Satanism, the occult, witchcraft… these abominations against the Lord have been plaguing the world from the beginning and their grip is tightening over people across America.

When the rulers of darkness look to lay claim on the land, however, there are some who are stepping up and saying no to them in Jesus’ name.

Former Satanist-turned-evangelist John Ramirez has been working for years alongside organizations like Intercessors for America to shine the light of truth on the spiritual darkness infecting the heart of America.

Prayer warriors are needed today, as the Satanic Church is gearing up for their SatanCon event, which they are marketing as “largest satanic gathering in history” in Boston, Massachusetts. Right here, in the country founded on Judeo-Christian values and honored the Creator in its founding.

Few have the background knowledge of Satanism and the occult that Ramirez brings. Growing up in Santeria, Ramirez frequented the dark side of the spiritual realm and knows the true enemy deceiving humanity today.

“These people are a bunch of jokes because this is how they trap people,” Ramirez told Fox News regarding the Satanic Temple. “I lived in the satanic kingdom for 25 years. I lived in the shadows of the demonic for 25 years. I would talk to Satan all day long, all night long.”

Ramirez uses his knowledge of demonic activity and Satanism to expose the deception that groups like the Satanic Temple try and spread.

“So, these people tell you they’re a temple, they’re a religion, but they don’t serve Satan, which is all hogwash,” he said. “On the front door, they say, ‘We call ourselves Satanists, but we don’t serve Satan.’ But then that’s like a Christian saying, ‘I’m a Christian, but I don’t serve Jesus.’ How can you be a Christian not serving Jesus? Either you have one master, or you have the other.”

Satan has worked for centuries to deceive humanity into believing he is not a threat, that he is not real. In modern-day society, he is excelling at this narrative and so are his acolytes.

This is an intentional strategy used to open the spiritual floodgates and allow demonic influence to steer people away from God.

Building Satanic temples is part of the ploy “so demons and spirits can work in the atmosphere of those regions to really bring destruction to the people,” Ramirez explains.

There are others joining Ramirez in the spiritual battle taking place in America as well. The Christian group Intercessors for America has engaged thousands of believers to pray, fast and act against this corruption of the soul taking place across the country.

CEO of Intercessors for America David Kubal believes that people are seeing this activity but may not always know the spiritual significance of rituals the Satanic Temple uses, such as abortion.

“I think for the average American, that just kind of makes their skin crawl to think that somebody would abort a baby for religious ritual purposes,” Kubal said.

Kubal and others are praying that the deceptive tactics used by the followers of the devil will be exposed and are speaking out to achieve that very goal.

“So, whether or not people believe in satanic power, the people that are a part of this absolutely do, and they attend this conference in an attempt to learn how to manipulate people using the supernatural,” explained Kubal. “They cloak their activities using palatable words emphasizing science, using words like benevolence or justice.”

In a response to Fox News, the Satanic Temple continued their campaign of spiritual disinformation.

“We support people’s First Amendment right to engage in prayer and fasting as means of protest,” a spokesperson for the Satanic Temple said. “It is hard to respond to accusations of ‘tapping into demonic power’ in the same way that it is hard to respond to accusations of having ‘cooties’ without implicitly validating the mindset of a 3-year-old.”

Whether out of ignorance or deception, comparing the occult and Satanic worship to the cooties is exactly what Satan wants, and what he has been succeeding at all these centuries.

As the late Paul Harvey once said, “If I were the devil, I’d just keep right on doing what he’s doing.” {eoa}

Shocking Discovery Found in Church Dumpster

A shocking discovery was made in a local church in Ardmore, Oklahoma Saturday afternoon. Police were alerted to a baby in a dumpster at Ardmore church after authorities say the mother called to alert them.

In an interview with Christian Post, Associate Pastor Ed Skidmore says, “Of course, we were absolutely heartbroken,” Skidmore said. “We’re pro-life from the moment of conception. We support babies in the womb. We support our local pregnancy center. We support mothers. Our hearts have gone out to the dad, the mom and the baby. We are absolutely heartbroken.”

It’s unclear right now what the motive was for the child to be left in the dumpster. KXII reported the baby was found around 3:00 pm on Saturday and as of Saturday evening, the baby was still in stable condition.

Skidmore says the mother and the baby do not have any affiliation with Ardmore church. He told CP that investigators alerted him that the mother was the one who called the police to inform them the baby was left in the dumpster.

“I did talk to the police officers that were here and they did say that it was the mother that gave them the information to where the baby was and she was at another location. That’s all they would tell me,” Skidmore says.

No further information is available at this time. Pray for the mother, baby and father that God would deliver them. While the motive is still unclear at this time, any parent put in a position to put a child in such a dangerous position needs God.

Charisma News will keep you posted as any additional information comes forward. {eoa}

Yes, Jesus Did Address Sexual Sin

Yes, Chris Bryant, Jesus really did address the subject of homosexuality, no matter how much you might want to twist the issue.

After the Church of England recently set down an edict that forbid same-sex couples to marry but that each individual would receive “God’s blessing,” Bryant, a homosexual and a former Anglican minister, addressed the House of Commons and refuted that Jesus ever taught on the subject.

“Is there any biblical teaching that says this is wrong? Any? Really?” Bryant said in this recent video. “Did Jesus say a single word about same-sex relationships or marriage? I don’t think He did.

“He said a great deal about love. The God of Love and St. Paul said in Christ there was neither male or female, nor Jew or Greek, and I think he probably would have also said neither gay or straight.”

In response to a question about divorce, Jesus said in Matthew 19:4-6 (MEV): “He answered, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.”

Clearly, Jesus spoke of a man and a woman being joined as one in marriage. But it is easy to see how that can be misconstrued, considering the problem of gender identity in today’s culture.

Bryant says the Church of England, while having the best intentions, is operating under hypocrisy with its latest mandate about same-sex marriage.

“Imagine if you have gone to church your whole life and devoted your life to, and this is the place where you can’t get married,” Bryant said. “That is terribly painful. And I think there is still a cruelty in what the bishops have brought forward. … I know they are trying to square everything off, but in the end, there is an hypocrisy that would bless the individuals but not the relationship. You can have a celebration, a blessing, but you can’t be married. You can’t refer to your significant other.”

Ben John, affiliated with Wilberforce Academy, a one-week Christian program for young professionals run by Christian Concern, wrote an opinion piece disagreeing with Bryant’s statement in Parliament.

In his op-ed, John said that in Matthew 19, Jesus clearly “roots the nature and institution of marriage in creation. Marriage is marriage because it is the complementarity of a man and a woman.”

John also quoted Matthew 15:18-19, which reads: “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immorality, thefts, false witness and blasphemies.”

In this passage, the author explained, “sexual immorality” is translated from the Greek word “porneia,” which is also referenced by Jesus in Matthew 5:32, 19:9 and Mark 7:21. The term is the origin of the word “pornography,” he wrote, adding that while it might seem unclear to modern listeners, those who heard Jesus speak would have understood the reference to Leviticus 18, which lists various sinful sexual acts, including incest, adultery, bestiality and homosexual acts.

Even liberal scholars who disagree with their message, John wrote, acknowledge that the Bible does condemn homosexuality. John said in the article, quoting Diarmaid MacCulloch: “Despite much well-intentioned theological fancy footwork to the contrary, it is difficult to see the Bible as expressing anything else but disapproval of homosexual activity.”

2023CMPrintcoverRevelation 2:20-23 reads, “But I have a few things against you: You permit that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, but she did not repent. Look! I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will put her children to death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the hearts and minds. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.”

John wrote, “Therefore, those who continue in unrepentant sexual immorality do not truly love Jesus, the author wrote, adding that Bryant should be encouraged to repent and receive God’s love and grace through forgiveness.” {eoa}

John wrote, “Therefore, those who continue in unrepentant sexual immorality do not truly love Jesus, the author wrote, adding that Bryant should be encouraged to repent and receive God’s love and grace through forgiveness.” {eoa}
