Morning Rundown: Red Heifer Sacrifice Could Take Place in One Year in Jerusalem

Here’s a quick summary of the top stories on :

Red Heifer Sacrifice Could Take Place in One Year in Jerusalem

The sacrifice of a red heifer could take place on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem as early as 13 months from now.

Texas businessman Byron Stinson—the man instrumental in locating and helping get five red heifers from the United States to Israel—told ALL ISRAEL NEWS that finding the sacrifice-ready cows was not the only objective. Boneh Israel, the organization Stinson is involved with, has also purchased land on the Mount of Olives that meets the requirements for a biblical sacrifice outside of a temple.

Stinson explained that a sacrifice does not necessitate a new temple. It can also be conducted at a certain height and direction—and the plot on the Mount of Olives meets these requirements.

Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s ‘God Loves You’ Tour Sees Mass Salvations

Natural disasters, financial despair, pandemics, a deep political party division over cultural issues—indeed the enemy is working overtime to keep people discouraged and in darkness.

Evangelist Franklin Graham, however, says there is a solution, if only believers and non-believers alike will die to self and surrender their lives to Jesus. During the BGEA’s six-city “God Loves You Tour,” Graham said the emptiness in your life can be filled by a life-changing decision to follow Christ.

“People are searching for purpose and meaning in life. Is there something missing in your life?” Graham said in a Facebook post this week. “I shared with the crowd in Flint, Michigan, that we have a vacuum, an emptiness, in our lives that can only be filled by God.

Orlando Megachurch Pastor: Florida Will Pull Through ‘By the Grace of God’

The city of Orlando may not be on the Florida coast, but it was directly in the path of Hurricane Ian, enduring flooding and powerful winds. As the city begins to clean up from the storm, a local pastor is encouraging those who are facing life’s storms.

The winds have been howling and the rain has been pounding away for more than a day here. The former eye of the hurricane has passed but waves of hard wind and rain still come and go, a sign that the storm is finally on its way out. Ian’s devastation is far from over as it’s now headed toward the mid-Atlantic.

Here in Orlando, the biggest concerns are now tornado watches and flash flood advisories, both of which are still a possibility for the next 24 hours as the storm exits this area. {eoa}

Las Vegas Pro-Life Students Sue High School for Violating First Amendment Rights

A group of pro-life students at a Las Vegas high school are taking their school and school district to federal court over violations of their First Amendment rights. Thomas More Society attorneys filed a complaint on September 29, 2022, in Nevada’s United States District Court against East Career and Technical Academy and the Clark County School District on behalf the Las Vegas high school’s Students for Life Club.

The complaint details the school’s repeated discrimination against the Students for Life Club in violation of federal law.

“East Career and Technical Academy is discriminating against the Students for Life Club in violation of federal law. It has unlawfully demonstrated its animus to the pro-life message espoused by the Students for Life Club in numerous ways, including failing to effectively remedy bullying directed against a club leader because of his pro-life views,” explained Thomas More Society Special Counsel Joan Mannix.

Mannix noted that this is not the first time Clark County schools have engaged in such conduct, referring to the 2015 federal lawsuit, Angelique Clark v. Clark County School District, et al., which the Thomas More Society filed suit against the same school district to address discrimination against a student pro-life group at its West Career and Technical Academy.

The complaint details the breaches of First Amendment rights that have occurred against the East Career and Technical Academy’s Students for Life Club and Felipe Avila, the club’s founder and former student leader. These violations of the United States and Nevada Constitutions, and federal Equal Access Act include:

  • Refusal to allow the Students for Life Club to distribute flyers because the leaflets mentioned an outside organization (a pregnancy resource center), despite multiple references to outside organizations in flyers distributed by other student groups
  • Rejection of Students for Life Club publication requests for visual graphic inclusion in the East Tech Times student newsletter, despite the inclusion of visual graphics promoting other student groups
  • Censorship of Students for Life Club flyers/posters that is clearly content based
  • Refusal of a Students for Life Club request to hang a banner in an area of the school building in which other groups and individuals have been allowed to do so
  • Exclusion of the Students for Life Club from a school-wide club “summit,” despite inclusion of other student-sponsored groups

“All of these instances of censorship and discrimination violate the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and the Nevada Constitution,” said Mannix. “The U.S. Supreme Court has long recognized that students do not shed their First Amendment rights at the schoolhouse gate. Additionally, the school’s actions fly in the face of the federal Equal Access Act which requires high schools to treat all student-sponsored clubs equally, irrespective of whether the school agrees with the message of the club.

“Another very distressing aspect of the entire situation is the school’s failure to address the bullying directed against the club’s founder and former leader, Felipe Avila, which further demonstrates the school’s antipathy toward the pro-life club’s message,” Mannix added. “He was stalked and threatened because of his pro-life views and leadership, but the school failed to take effective steps to address the bullying.”

Avila sought assistance from Students for Life of America, a national organization that provides support to student pro-life clubs.

Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America, stated, “As pro-life free speech is steadily under attack, Students for Life of America will not allow school administrations to overlook or instigate First Amendment violations against the Pro-Life Generation. Free speech includes pro-life speech, whether you like it or not. Pro-life students will always have a voice for the voiceless, and Students for Life of America will ensure their freedom to do so is respected.”

At the organization’s request, in February 2022, Thomas More Society attorneys sent a letter to the East Career and Technical Academy and the Clark County School District demanding that they cease their unconstitutional and unlawful conduct.

A March 24, 2022, letter from counsel for the Clark County School District failed to offer any remedy to the violations of student rights. A second letter, seeking clarification, was sent to the school district attorney on April 28, 2022, but the school district failed to respond.

Mannix added, “Having opened a forum inviting speech, it is illegal for high school administrators to censor students based on disagreement with their viewpoint. Instead, they should encourage students to exercise their free speech rights. These defendants, including Clark County School District, Superintendent Dr. Jesus Jara, and East Career and Technical Academy and its Principal Trish Taylor, disregarded the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the leaders and members of the school’s Students for Life Club, and they refused to rectify their conduct when called upon to do so. It is frustrating that students must continue to rely on federal courts to protect their First Amendment rights against infringement by their own schools, which, instead of embracing censorship, should be safeguarding those rights and encouraging discussion of divergent viewpoints.”

Read the Complaint for Injunctive Relief, Declaratory Judgement, Damages and Other Relief filed September 29, 2022, in United States District Court for the District of Nevada by Thomas More Society attorneys on behalf of a group of pro-life students in East Career and Technical Academy Students for Life, et al. v. Clark County School District et al.

Why Have Witchcraft, Horoscopes and the Occult Become All the Rage in Our Culture?

With horoscopes, witchcraft and the occult seemingly increasing in their presence and prevalence, some might wonder why these practices—traditions the Bible condemns—are ever-present.

Jareb and Petra Knott, coauthors of the book “The Science of Deliverance: How Spiritual Freedom Brings Physical Healing,” operate a deliverance ministry to help set people free from demonic influence. Petra explained why she believes so many people today are turning to the occult.

“The fascination with evil in society right now—we have a huge interest in the supernatural and people don’t know where to turn to learn about that,” she said. “So, they’re turning to the wrong side.”

Petra said fear is another factor that leads people toward these practices.

“Witchcraft gives people the illusion of control in their life, and so there’s a huge pull to witchcraft because people feel like they can do the right things and cause their life to be better,” she said. “And then the church … has been reticent to talk about these things, so we’ve left a void, and now we’ve got people who go to the church and ask questions, and they’re not getting answers.”

Petra said she sees it in her ministry with clients who come for deliverance and proclaim they’ve never engaged in witchcraft.

“[They’ll say], ‘I’ve done horoscopes, I’ve done seances, I’ve done Ouija boards, I’ve done, you know everything under the sun … but I’ve never done any witchcraft,'” she said. “It’s because they don’t have the understanding that all of those things aren’t fun and games; they are witchcraft.”

Jareb added his belief that “this is the enemy’s design” to see culture inundated with these themes, and he warned about the “desensitization of the children” in modern society.

“Many facets of our society and our media culture are just putting in little tidbits of friendly witchcraft,” he said,” referencing “Harry Potter” and some of the vampire shows and films that have gained prominence. “It’s making the demonic a friendly face. And it’s making it so that it’s palatable—that it’s fun and everybody can have a wand, and we can do little abracadabra and fun things.”

How Christians Can Help In the Wake of Hurricane Ian Destruction

Read Time: 2 minutes 1 second

Many areas across Florida have been completely destroyed following Hurricane Ian. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is deploying teams to help clear debris and minister to those who need prayer.

The hurricane made landfall as a Category 4 storm on the island of Cayo Costa near Fort Myers. Millions of people lost power, storm surge wiped out homes and left entire neighborhoods underwater. People are still being rescued from their homes and Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT says it is a, “tragic, catastrophic situation.”

“As we send chaplains to listen to people, to pray with people, to just be a shoulder people can cry on as they’re processing their loss, we want to be prepared to give an answer for the hope we have in Jesus Christ,” Holland says.

Now thousands of Floridians will need help rebuilding their homes. The organization is sending two mobile ministry centers which are expected to arrive on Friday. They have a team of 20 chaplains who can deploy disaster and emergency services across America.

The Florida National Guard has been activated for search and rescue efforts. Hurricane Ian is one of the strongest storms in Florida’s history. Holland say, “As we learn of its magnitude, our hearts are heavy and we are earnestly praying for the people in the path of this hurricane.”

More than 700 people have been rescued in Charlotte and Lee County. There are 42,000 linemen responding to the 2.5 million reported power outages.

Americans are stepping up, donating $10 million in just 24 hours to the Florida Disaster Fund. Florida officials are saying the death toll has reached 21 people. “When you look at some of these things, like you see a house totally washed out and it’s nothing but a concrete slab on Ft. Meyers beach, you just pray to God no one was in that,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said during a briefing.

BGEA says hundreds of chaplains are on standby to help in the days, weeks and months to come. Samaritan’s Purse has also deployed teams of people to help. They are asking for any volunteers to step up and “serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.”

They are asking for people to pray for the safety of the residents and for their teams. Pray for the local churches who are facing their own losses even as they minister to those who are hurting and broken right now. {eoa}

Michael Youssef: How You Can Prepare for Christ’s Return

If you do an internet search asking questions such as “What does the Bible teach about hell?” some of the first few results will be from false teachers. Here are the titles of webpages that popped up at the top of my search:

  • “Hell Is Not a Biblical Concept.”
  • “Jesus Christ Did Not Teach or Believe in Hell.”
  • “There Is No Hell in the Bible.”
  • “Heaven and Hell Are ‘Not What Jesus Preached,’ Religion Scholar Says.”

It is shocking that so many of these false teachers will look you in the eye and deny what is plainly printed on the pages of God’s Word.

Jesus spoke more about heaven and hell than any other preacher or prophet in the Bible. Jesus spoke more about hell then He spoke about heaven. Yet He always talked about judgment in the most caring and compassionate language. Why? Because He was pleading with people to repent, to receive the free gift of salvation and to escape the wrath to come. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because the people’s rejection of Him would result in judgment. And He weeps over every human soul who rejects Him and incurs the coming judgment.

As we wait for Him to come back for us, Jesus warns us not to be deceived by false messiahs and false preachers and their deceptive teachings. He pleads with us to repent and accept God’s plan of salvation. He pleads with us to take refuge in Him from the wrath to come.

Jesus’ Message to Us Through the Parable of the 10 Virgins

In the Parable of the 10 Virgins (see Matthew 25:1-13), Jesus provides a challenging message to all of us as we anticipate His coming. In the parable, the bridegroom, of course, is Jesus. Everyone expected the wedding to begin at a certain time, but the bridegroom was late. He arrived much later than anyone expected—at midnight.

The 10 virgins represent all who claim to be Christians, all who claim to be awaiting the return of Jesus. There were five virgins who were wise and five who were foolish. The five wise virgins brought extra oil for their lamps, just in case the bridegroom was late. When he arrived at midnight, they were ready. The five foolish virgins were caught unprepared—and when they had to go out to buy oil, the doors were shut and they were locked out of the wedding.

Please don’t miss these words of Scripture: “Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you'” (Matthew 25:11-12)

What did the wise virgins and foolish virgins have in common? All 10 virgins were invited and had responded to the invitation. All of them believed that the bridegroom was coming. All of them fell asleep. But at midnight, when the bridegroom arrived, those similarities disappeared. Only the five wise virgins were prepared for His coming.

Youssef bookThe Bible tells us that, at the end of history, there will be a great falling away. Many who claim to know Christ, who claim to be Christians, will be revealed as faithless. About those days Jesus warned, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:12-13).

Many in the church today are like the foolish virgins in Jesus’s parable. They have fallen asleep and are unprepared for His coming.

It’s time to wake up and prepare for His return. It’s time to ask God to strengthen our faith and give us power to work for His kingdom, knowing that the Bridegroom could arrive at any moment. {eoa}

Suicide Bomber Attacks Kabul Education Center Killing 30

Read Time: 2 minutes 10 seconds

A suicide bomber attacked a school in Kabul, Afghanistan Friday killing at least 30 people most of which were young women. Around 600 girls were crowded together in the building preparing for a test when the bomber struck the educational center.

The bomb went off Friday morning at the Kaaj Education Centre in Afghanistan’s capital. At least 27 others were wounded in the blast. According to Al Jazeera most of the victims in the attack were high school graduates who were studying for university entrance exams.

Police spokesman Khalid Zadran says the attack took place at a private tutoring center. He says, “Attacking civilian targets proves the enemy’s inhuman cruelty and lack of moral standards.” It is unclear right now who is behind the attack; there has not been an immediate claim of responsibility.

According to NBC a local resident Ghulum Sadiq was sitting in his house when he heard a loud explosion. “My friends and I were able to move around 15 wounded and 9 dead bodies from the explosion bodies were lying under chairs and tables inside the classroom,” Sadiq said.

Since the Taliban took over in August 2021, they shut down access to school for girls over 6th grade. Many had found loopholes in attending the schools like the tutoring center that was attacked Friday morning.

“First, we heard the sounds of a few gunshots at the main gate. Everyone was worried and tried to run to a different direction,” said 19-year-old survivor Shafi Akbary in an interview with The Associated Press.

Akbary says, “Soon after that, a huge explosion occurred inside the center.” He was unharmed during the explosion but says she saw dozens of wounded people and bodies laying around.

The minority Hazara community, mostly made up of Shiite Muslims have been targeted numerous times in violent acts. The Taliban police are investigating the bombing but have not released any further information.

Here’s how you can pray:

  1. Pray for the families of those killed in the explosion Friday morning that God would comfort them and reveal Jesus to them.
  2. Pray for those responsible for the attack that they would encounter God and be completely transformed and born again.
  3. Pray for the people who live their lives afraid of what may come that God would give them peace and hope.

As long as the world continues to speak up against the violence and oppression going on in Afghanistan, a voice is given to those who feel like they don’t have a voice. The most important thing that the body of Christ can do is pray and spread the word of what is going on in Afghanistan. {eoa}

Christian Healthcare Worker Fired and Condemned by Hospital for Beliefs

Read time: 3 minutes 40 seconds

The American workplace is increasingly hostile towards Christians these days. Companies are becoming more aggressive towards those who hold certain religious beliefs, and target their workers who practice those beliefs.

This was made evident during the COVID pandemic when certain workers, many in the healthcare field who were initially hailed as heroes, were sacrificed at the altar of the vaccine craze.

Now, the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) worshipers is targeting Christians who do not bend the knee to their altar.

Valerie Kloosterman had been a physician’s assistant at the University of Michigan Health—West when she was targeted for her Christian beliefs and summarily fired.

Kloosterman had worked in the medical field for 17 years, and had dealt with many diverse types of patients, including members of the LGBT community. She had never complained about working with them, it was when she was instructed to perform tasks that went against her Christian beliefs that she declined.

Ms. Kloosterman was asked to undergo training, sign off and agree to referrals for transgender surgeries and using a patient’s preferred pronouns. As a Christian who believes in the perfection and divinity of God, she believes that God made man and woman only and thus requested a religious exemption.

In addition to the religious exemption, Kloosterman offered neutral solutions to avoiding this situation such as not using pronouns at all and referring to the patients by their chosen name.

This religious exemption request would turn into a tumultuous series of meetings with the hospitals HR and DEI departments.

Thomas Pierce, the DEI Program Director, would become hostile during these meetings towards not only Kloosterman, but her Christian beliefs as well. Kloosterman was verbally berated and her beliefs condemned in the meetings with the hospitals administration according to the lawsuit.

In the letter Kloosterman’s attorneys sent to Michigan Health, it alleges that Mr. Pierce told Ms. Kloosterman she could not bring her Bible or Christian beliefs with her to work.

This aggressive and unconstitutional behavior even resulted in a false accusation of altering patients’ charts, which Kloosterman still denies to this day.

These attacks confirm what many on the right have been saying for years: That DEI initiatives are not about uplifting those who are downtrodden, but control of a narrative and enforcement of an ideology.

Ms. Kloosterman’s case shows that while Christians are in the crosshairs of the enemy, they have avenues to stand up and pushback against the enemy’s assault.

First Liberty has taken up her case, and listed in depth every violation of her constitutional First Amendment rights as a Christian. Working within the law, Christians are able to win battles over the enemy and shed light on the attacks believers endure.

This is why it is so important for Christians to vote for morally upstanding politicians. Because if they do not, bureaucrat who stands against the Lord will try and change laws to fit their demonically inspired, Marxist agenda.

This is the case in California, where Gov. Newsom just signed a bill (SB107) legalizing cross-border child trafficking. The state of California will offer sanctuary to any minor who seeks a transgender surgery or modification to their bodies, even against the parents will.

All in the name of diversity, equity and inclusion. {eoa}

Family Watches in Horror as FBI Raids Home of Pro-Life Christian

The FBI used a major show of force to arrest pro-life Christian Mark Houck, 48, with dozens of agents reportedly descending on his home with guns drawn as Houck’s wife and children looked on in horror.

Early Friday morning the FBI arrived at the Houck’s residence in Bucks County, PA and began pounding on the door. Despite putting his hands up and willingly cooperating, multiple agents pointed guns in Mark’s face as his family—including his seven children—were forced to watch their dad “shackled” and taken away, according to family representative Brian Middleton, who spoke with CBN’s Faithwire.

Houck’s wife Ryan-Marie described the shocking scene to LifeSiteNews, saying her husband was pleading with agents. “‘Please, I’m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.’ But they just kept pounding and screaming.” She added that they “had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house.”

WATCH: Gen. Michael Flynn Says Governors Have Power to Start New American Revolution

Read Time: 1 minute 50 seconds

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s words in a campaign speech in Arizona has gone viral across social media recently. During his remarks, he made comments that could imply a potential war between states.

Although he didn’t outright use the words civil war at the campaign event for Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem, he said, “You know, states rights, did you know that a governor can declare war? We are going to probably see that.”

Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution states that Congress has the power to declare war and raise and support armies. Flynn didn’t specify what kind of situation governors would be declaring war over, but the last time governors were unhappy with how the country was being run it launched America into the Civil War from 1861-1865.

In the video that has been viewed 800,000 times, former federal prosecutor Ron Filipkowski captioned the post saying, “Michael Flynn says 90% of Fed agencies should be disbanded.” The former Trump national security adviser is outspoken on his thoughts of the current administration and state of the country.

In a “Strang Report” podcast interview from Aug. 2021, Flynn talked about the ReAwaken America and his efforts to save the country. “God is being ripped out of the fabric of our Constitution; God is being ripped out of the fabric of certainly one part of our government,” Flynn says.

“If people don’t get involved in their local communities, we are not going to win this country back,” he says. “That’s how we’re going to win. It’s not about complaining about Washington, D.C., … it’s actually getting up and getting involved and finding those individuals who you believe in who can best lead your communities and our country in the future. This is about leadership. This is about looking for those people, those patriots.” {eoa}
