CN Morning Rundown: Is This the Final Chapter of Humanity?

Here’s a quick summary of the top stories on :

Is This the Final Chapter of Humanity?

I had the privilege of meeting two members of the Ukrainian Parliament while I was working in Washington, D.C. Tommye and I entertained them in our apartment for two hours. They contacted me specifically because I was known as a pastor who worked to advance Christianity in government, and they were both Christians.

I will never forget the tenderness of their hearts nor the steel in their spines to advance a righteous agenda in their country, known for its graft and corruption. I can only wonder what they are doing today with Russian tanks rumbling through their country and missiles raining down on their loved ones.

What we see unfolding in the Ukraine may be the beginning of the final chapter of humanity. This is a time when every child of God should fall on their faces and cry out to a holy God, and repent for our willful rebellion of His laws and ways.

Spirit-Filled Pastor: How Ukraine Chaos Ties Into Biblical Prophecy

Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, has responded in a video to Christians wondering if there’s a connection between end-times prophecies and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Laurie candidly shared why he believes “we’re living in the last days” and explored many signs worldwide that might point to the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

“I believe Christ could come back at any moment,” he said. “There are signs of the times the Bible tells us to be looking for.”

The popular pastor shared Jesus’ words in Matthew 24 that warn of wars, “rumors of wars,” plagues and other such elements in the lead-up to the end of days. Matthew 24:4-14 (NIV) reads:

“Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am the Messiah,” and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

“‘Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.'”

While Laurie didn’t directly tie the chaos in Ukraine to these prophetic elements, he noted there are reasons why so many are asking eschatological questions about current events.

Ukraine, COVID-19 and government overreach are just some of the issues sparking a slew of curiosities among the faithful.

As for Russia’s invasion, Laurie noted the consternation is understandable, proclaiming, “This is war on a scale we have not seen in a long time.” He spoke about Ezekiel 38’s prophesies of a “Gog from Magog,” noting “Magog” is believed by many to be Russia. {eoa}

CBN Founder Pat Robertson Weighs in on Russia and Its Place in Prophecy

CBN Founder Pat Robertson made a special appearance on The 700 Club Monday to talk about Russia’s shocking invasion of Ukraine and how it all might fit into biblical end-times prophecy.

He cited key passages from the prophet Ezekiel regarding nations coming together one day to rise up against Israel—specifically pointing to what Russia is doing in Ukraine as a precursor to that event:

“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, “This is what the Lord God says: ‘Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. So I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them magnificently dressed, a great contingent with shield and buckler, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-Togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops– many peoples with you'”‘” (Ezek. 38:1-6, NASB).

Referring to a map showing the location of Ukraine, Robertson pointed to a “choke point” between Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece and why Russia might eventually be aiming to control that point.

He continued reading from Ezekiel 38:

“‘It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,’ declares the Lord God, ‘That my fury will mount up in my anger. In my zeal and in my blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will certainly be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all the crawling things that crawl on the earth, and all mankind who are on the face of the earth will shake at my presence; and the mountains will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him on all my mountains,’ declares the Lord God. ‘Every man’s sword will be against his brother. With plague and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone'” (Ezek. 38:18-22).

Robertson also showed a map explaining which biblical names correspond to the modern-day countries.

Gomer = Ukraine

Rosh = Russia

Magog = Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan

Persia = Iran

Togarmah and Tubal = Turkey and Syria

Put = Libya

Cush = North Sudan and Egypt

“North Sudan is so-called Cush,” Robertson said. “All of those troops there are going to be coming against Israel in the latter days. And God says, ‘I am going to take care of it.'”

“But is Putin insane?” he asked. “Well, yes and no. Because he is being driven to move against Israel because God says, ‘I’m going to put hooks in your jaws and I’m going to bring you down on them.’ Now you get the picture.”

Robertson said Putin and Turkish President Erdoğan’s troops will one day work together to make up a tremendous army in the latter days.

“And I think you can say, ‘Well, Putin is out of his mind,’ and yes, maybe so. But at the same time, he’s being compelled by God,” CBN’s founder said. “He went into Ukraine, but that wasn’t his goal. His goal was to move against Israel ultimately. And he will link up with Turkey across the little (land) bridge, and they will come together. And then, you look down into North Sudan, you’ve got a Muslim country down there, and there they all are. Persia, of course, is Iran.”

“And there is the land that is set up in Ezekiel 38 and you see how Ukraine is key because you see the land bridge between Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. And all of that area is going to be mobilized against Israel in the latter days. And God says, ‘I am going to deal with it,'” Robertson said.

“So you can look at your map. You can read your newspapers. You can listen to your news. But know of a fact that God is bringing to pass what He prophesied years ago through His servant Ezekiel,” he explained. “And you read it in the 38th passage of Ezekiel, one through six, it’s all there. And God is getting ready to do something amazing and that will be fulfilled.” {eoa}

EXCLUSIVE REPORT: How War in Ukraine Is Affecting Christians, What It Means and How You Can Pray

With bombs bursting only a few miles away in the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv, Tatiana Gumenyuk refuses to relinquish the peace that God instilled in her many years ago through her parents.

Gumenyuk, a prayer warrior, intercessor and avid Christian, fully realizes the implications of the Russian invasion of her home country of Ukraine, now in its fifth day. She realizes that, because of the bloodthirsty ambitions of Russian President Vladmir Putin, her life and the lives of her friends and family may never be the same ever again.

Whatever happens, Gumenyuk says, she knows that God is in control and that she is ready to meet Jesus at any time.

“I have the peace of God in my heart and, if you have that and a relationship with Jesus Christ, that’s all you need,” Gumenyuk says from a room in Gumenyuk Chapel in a city just outside of Kyiv. “He will take care of you. He will take you through everything in your life. Yes, we are a bit shaky and nervous from everything that is happening, but the peace that is in our hearts cannot be stolen by the enemy.

“I have survived communism, and I have survived Christian persecution in the Soviet Union,” she says. “I found the peace of God that I saw in my parents, who brought up 10 children, survived World War II and communistic persecution, and instilled in us so much love and care. I am very peaceful and calm, even with the bombs exploding here. I want everyone to know that you only need Jesus. Nothing else satisfies like He can.”

Last Friday in the early stages of Russia’s invasion, Gumenyuk says approximately 60 people gathered at her church to pray “fervently” for a quick end to the conflict. On Sunday, she said, people gathered in subways and other underground venues for church services. Her own church gathered 130 people that day.

“We walked, we prayed and we sang to the Lord,” Gumenyuk says. “We begged the Lord to deliver us from this war in Ukraine, and for the leaders to end it as soon as possible so we don’t have much more bloodshed than we’ve had at this point.”

Some prophets and ministry leaders have speculated that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could be the beginning of World War III. While Gumenyuk isn’t quite certain of that, she does know that the spiritual implications of this event are extremely significant.

“This is a question that a lot of people have been talking about,” Gumenyuk says. “I once thought that Putin might turn out to be the Antichrist himself. But one thing is for sure: The church here is strong and it is vibrant. The Protestant movement in Ukraine is probably the largest in Europe.

“People have kept the faith through communism,” she adds. “They have stayed here and evangelized and the church has grown. The Orthodox Church is very popular here, too. What is going to happen? I honestly don’t know. It might be the beginning of Armageddon. I am not a biblical scholar, but the church here is ready to fight and is ready to meet Jesus Christ at any minute.”

Gumenyuk, who studied in the United States at Bob Jones University, has a master’s degree in English. She has attended and participated in more than 10 National Prayer Breakfasts in the U.S. and once had “big dreams to work in the White House” before her mother passed away in 2006.

Gunmenyuk learned early in life how to become an intercessor through watching her mother, whom she says was a tremendous spiritual influence in her life.

“My mother was a prayer warrior, more than any I have ever known,” Gumenyuk says. “Before we would go to school, she would cook a meal for us, and then she would have an hour of prayer. She would close her door and read Scripture and pray for us and for every person she knew. She would show me the power that is in prayer.

“I’m a prayer warrior because I saw the real example in the life of my mom,” she says. You don’t have to teach a child; you just have to live the life and the child will learn from you.”

And prayer is desperately needed for the people of Ukraine—right now.

It is crucial, Gumenyuk says, for Christians around the world to continue to pray for not only the church in Ukraine but for the Ukrainian people and also the people and leaders of Russia. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, no matter what the consequences.

“The prayer of the righteous can accomplish the impossible,” she says. “Please continue to pray for God’s protection of Ukraine because many people at this point have already died. Many are scared and many are in need of food, health and warmth.

“We are paying a big price for this, but perhaps the Russian people want to wake up and be free from the Russian tyranny,” she says. “I could be hanged in a few days for these words, but I’m telling them to wake up. I’ve lived through communism, and I don’t want to live through it anymore. I’m willing to die for my faith. Every one of us is ready to fight and die for Ukraine. I’m not scared to die. I’m ready to go with Jesus at this very minute.” {eoa}

Gastroenterologist Describes ‘Worst Experience of My Life’ After Life-Altering Reaction to COVID Shot

A retired gastroenterologist says taking the jab was the “worst experience of my life.” Meanwhile, the number of shot injury victims is skyrocketing, and the injured just want to be heard. Read on to learn what Liberty Counsel is doing to stop the unlawful vaccine mandates. —Mat Staver

As a retired gastroenterologist, Dr. Danice Hertz says she “completely trusted our system and believed the FDA was honest and decent.” But she now knows she was wrong.

Hertz had recently retired when the COVID virus hit. Thinking she might be called out of retirement to help, she signed up to be among the first to take a COVID shot. After all, the FDA said the shots were safe. Hertz received the Pfizer jab in December 2020, just two weeks after the FDA cleared the drug for Emergency Use Authorization.

Thirty minutes after taking the shot, Hertz realized something was very, very wrong. “My face started burning and tingling, and my eyes got blurry,” she says. Her husband called paramedics, and Hertz’s blood pressure was sky- high. Then the rest of her symptoms kicked in.

“I felt like someone was pouring acid on me,” says the doctor. She began suffering excruciating pain in her face, chest constriction, severe tinnitus, tremors in her hands and twitching in her limbs. Her body felt as if it were constantly vibrating, even as she lost feeling in her face. Many days, she thought she was going to die.

Fourteen months later, Hertz still suffers. In early 2021, doctors diagnosed her with “presumed post-COVID reaction,” but these symptoms didn’t arise from COVID. Finally, after what seemed an eternity of visits to medical specialists, the truth came to light. Hertz was suffering from Mast Cell Activation Syndrome triggered by the Pfizer shot.

Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is a previously rare condition in which a person’s immune system goes haywire. As Hertz scoured the internet for more information, she found many others who had already been diagnosed or had the same symptoms of mast cell activation she did.

“Unfortunately, I have taken a turn for the worse a month or two ago,” Hertz says. But she won’t stop fighting for answers from a government that keeps repeating a now proven false mantra that the shots are both safe and effective.

The past year of COVID injuries proves neither assertion is true—they are neither safe nor effective. COVID “breakthrough” infections are now so common that it is simply understood that one will likely get COVID despite “full vaccination.” Even “fully vaccinated” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki fell ill with COVID a few weeks ago.

The U.S. government’s vaccine injury reporting system, VAERS, proves the shots are not safe. According to the latest update on Feb. 18, 2022, a staggering 1,134,982 COVID shot injuries were reported to VAERS, and MedAlerts reports 855,370 of them with neurological disorders.

What’s more, it turns out Hertz was right to fear for her life. A Columbia University researcher says more than 400,000 Americans have died from the COVID shots. In fact, the Columbia researcher and his Israeli research colleague say the true number of shot injuries is a whopping 20 times higher than what is being reported on VAERS.

The injured people we are hearing from say that neither these drug companies nor the CDC seem to have much interest in helping the patients they poisoned … and Joe Biden continues with his mad demand to force a shot in every arm.

Liberty Counsel is fighting to free America from Biden’s jabs. We have multiple ongoing lawsuits to strike down the bans one by one.

Our massive class action lawsuit defending the military is awaiting a ruling from Judge Steven Merryday that I believe has the potential to free the entire military from the mandates. But we need your prayers and your help to win renewed freedom for all Americans.

Our team is working on more cases with more plaintiffs than ever before in our history as we feverishly work to save people from the mandates.

Our resources have been taxed as never before—and we still have all our other legal work defending sidewalk counselors, change counseling and pro-life warriors just trying to do God’s will without government interference.

Please commit to regular prayer for our nation—we are at a critical juncture in restoring our God-given, inalienable rights and the rule of law. And pray for the people of Ukraine. My heart breaks as I view the carnage against these innocent civilians. {eoa}

This Woman Wasn’t Senile; She Was Demonized

I was working part-time at a small but well-maintained nursing and rehabilitation home during my first year at Modesto Junior College in Modesto, California. It was an administrative position that paid minimum wage for minimal hours and without much responsibility.

In other words, it was a gloriously low-stress job and perfectly suited for college life. My sole responsibilities were answering the phone and keeping an eye on this and only on the occasional weekend.

Regardless, I was able to interact with some of their patients and was prompted by the Holy Spirit to reach out to one elderly woman in particular. I felt compelled to invite her to consider a relationship with Jesus.

I was a very new Christian, yet I could identify the voice of God speaking to my heart and mind quite often. His loving voice came to me concerning her as a clear prompting within my heart, but an urgent one. Immediately I began to pray in my prayer language and then drove the short 15 minutes to the facility from my home.

I found her easily enough, as she typically sat facing a window in her wheelchair, always bent over in an arch and never fully able to straighten herself up. I approached her as politely as I knew how and then shared with her about the love of Jesus and the power of His forgiveness. At the same time, I mistakenly believed she was ready to receive my words and did not anticipate what happened next.

Instead of her being receptive, almost instantly an ugly stream of blasphemies and curses spilled out her mouth. She continued to make abominably vile and foul statements about Jesus until I gave up and walked out of the facility in both shock and embarrassment.

What was going on here? This usually quiet, elderly woman was not crazy, as we are so apt to label people who behave how she behaved. She was demonized, meaning she was under the control and influence of a demonic spirit.

We read about this phenomenon in the Bible many times; the most severe account being the man from the Gadarenes who was possessed with a “Legion” of demons, meaning thousands of spirits, all of which Jesus successfully cast out (see Mark 5:1–20). In much of American culture, which would also reflect much of Westernized Christian culture, we often misdiagnose or make excuses for people’s outrageously bad behavior. We say things like, “She must be crazy” or “He’s going senile,” then fail to identify the real problem.

This aged woman had a demon and that demon hated Jesus viciously.

If I had understood better, I would have attempted to cast this foul demon out of her according to Jesus’ own words: And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons” (Mark 16:17). Demons are fallen angels who serve Satan, not God, and seek to afflict humanity in any way possible, which includes demonization.

Because I did not understand what I had encountered, I neglected to provide a true remedy. I also needed to know what Jesus had been anointed to do and why the Holy Spirit would come to rest upon us believers in the first place. It was certainly a learning experience; one I would never forget. {eoa}

Putin’s Moves Reveal End-Times Spirit of the Antichrist

In 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Paul speaks of an evil, end-time world ruler whom he calls “the man of sin.” This individual whom Paul says, “opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God,” is obviously the same person that John refers to as “the beast” in Revelation 13 and “the antichrist” in 1 John 2:18, 4:3.

In 1 John 2:18b, John says, “You have heard that the antichrist will come, even now there are many antichrists.” John seems to be saying that this evil, controlling ruler at the end of the age will be preceded by many of the same character and spirit. He confirms this later by saying that the spirit of the antichrist is “already in the world” (1 John 4:3).

Vladimir Putin is not the Antichrist, but his desire for dominance and control are certainly in the spirit of the antichrist; and he is not the only one exuding that spirit in the world today.

Both the “man of sin” and “the beast” are described as putting themselves in the place of God over people’s lives. This fits perfectly with the meaning of “Antichrist,” for according to Thayer’s Greek-English Lexicon, the word anti in Greek means “instead of” or “in place of.” In other words, this individual is not just “against” Christ; he has a messianic complex and seeks to take the place of Christ as the one destined to rule the earth.

Remember, the word “Christ” is the Greek word for the Hebrew “Messiah.” In Scripture, the Messiah is God’s appointed king and ruler over Israel and the entire cosmos. Various Old Testament prophecies, such as 2 Samuel 7:12-13, Psalm 2:6, Daniel 7:13-14 and Micah 5:2, speak of the coming Messiah as God’s appointed king and ruler. The messianic prophecy of Isaiah 9:6-7 says,

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder… Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.”

The Antichrist has a messianic complex and projects himself as the one who has the right, the intelligence and the ability to rule the world and save the planet. He is, however, the antichristos, the one who puts himself in that place that belongs only to Jesus Christ.

This antichrist spirit has shown itself throughout history in the Caesars of Rome, the medieval Catholic popes, Islamic movements seeking world domination, and European monarchs and their official state churches. It is seen in modern political leaders with visions of world domination such as Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin.

It is to be seen in the so-called progressive movement in America and the emerging cancel culture, which seek to control our thoughts, words and actions. It is to be seen in Big Tech companies who control the flow of information and ban any person and any message they deem to be unacceptable.

We have seen this same spirit raising its ugly head through political leaders in the United States, Canada and other Western nations with their harsh COVID-19 lockdowns and mandates. Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada, just forcefully ended a peaceful Freedom Convoy, arrested many of the protesters, confiscated their vehicles, froze their bank accounts and threatened to take their pets and children.

A March 30, 2020 interview with former British Supreme Court Justice Lord Sumption now sounds prophetic. He warned that the COVID-19 mandates were paving the way for despotism—the exercise of power in a cruel and oppressive manner (Hyatt, To Comply or Not Comply, 59).

This spirit of Antichrist also shows itself in church leaders who exercise absolute control over the lives of their followers. They often do this by the use of authority-laden titles and hierarchical church structures that have no basis in Scripture. Such authoritarian control flies in the face of Jesus’ declaration in Mark 10:42-45 that leadership in His kingdom would be characterized by servanthood, not worldly authority (Mark 10:42-45).

In Revelation 14:18, John says that the number of the beast is the number of a “man,” and his number is 666. Because there is no definite article in front of “man” in this passage, it could well refer to mankind in general, as well as the evil, end-time ruler.

This would coincide with the fact that the numeral 6 is first mentioned in Genesis 1:31 where God created mankind on the sixth day of creation. Whereas the numeral 7 normally refers to completion and perfection, the numeral 6 is one shy of that.

The numeral 6, therefore, could well be the number of mankind and his incompleteness apart from God. Since, however, the number of the beast is a trinity of 666, it probably refers to him as a mere man asserting himself into the place of God over people’s lives—a man acting as if he were God. That is the spirit of the antichrist.

America’s founders and their parents and grandparents had lived under the antichrist spirit, which is why they were so adamant about individual liberty. It is why in Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution, the founders banned aristocracy and the handing out of honorific titles by the U.S. government. It is why the Constitution opens with, “We the people.”

In this new land, there would be no “Lord so and so” or “Lady so and so.” There would be no royal aristocracy to which the masses must curtsy, doff their hats and bow the knee. When some wondered how they would manage without a monarchy, Thomas Paine, in his book, Common Sense, wrote, “But where says some is the King of America? I’ll tell you Friend, He reigns above.”

We must resist the antichrist spirit in both the church and the world, and we do this by proclaiming Jesus Christ as God’s appointed Messiah/King who alone has the right and wisdom to govern our lives. This happened in Colonial America through the influence of the Great Awakening, for when a British-appointed official reported on the state of things to his superiors in England, he wrote,

“If you ask an American who is his master, he will tell you he has none, nor any governor but Jesus Christ” (Hyatt, 1726: The Year that Defined America, 81).

When a society recognizes Jesus as God’s Messiah/King and commits itself to be governed by his moral values, there will be peace, prosperity and safety. It is what Jesus and the New Testament writers called “the gospel of the kingdom.”

As we see the end nearing, our focus should be on understanding and proclaiming this gospel of the kingdom, for in Matthew 24:14, Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” {eoa}

The Bible Is Always Begging You To Open It

Recently I prayed, “Lord, let me read the Bible like it’s the very first time. Open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Thy law” (Ps. 119:18). It works! I am seeing things I never saw before, and it is going into my spirit. It’s like I am being born again, again!
If The Enemy Is Telling You That You Don’t Need To Read The Bible As Much As You Used Need To Read It More!
Have you ever thought, “I have read the Bible so many times that I have a pretty good handle on what it is saying. Therefore I don’t need to read it as much”? Have you said, “I have read that certain Scripture so many times that I am confident that I know what that verse means by now? Besides, I have heard others share that they received the same meaning from it”?
Recently, I sensed the Lord saying, “There is a dangerous mindset in many of My people when it comes to receiving fresh revelation from My Word. The longer they walk with Me in My Word, there is a strong tendency for them to think they know it all! Many have forgotten that My Word is a living Word, full of ongoing revelation and eternal insights.”
What a Wonderful, Humbling Experience to Come to God Like a Child Every Day!
I believe “how” we pick up our Bibles to read them determines “how” we receive what is in it. If we come pridefully boasting in what we think we already know, we will surely fail in the full revelation of it. When was the last time God’s Word became personally alive to you? Was it when you were broken before Him and you felt like you didn’t know anything? Or was it when you thought you had some good ideas to share with God about how He could run the universe better? I believe it is still our subtle “know it all” attitude that keeps hindering us from the ongoing revelation of the One who knows everything! Perhaps “Unless you become as little children you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven” would be fitting for reading God’s Word also.
I used to minister in prisons for twenty-three years. One prisoner in a cell was handed a Bible, and he took it and threw it under his bed as he cursed it. Years later, he testified that there were nights he could not sleep. He couldn’t get that Bible out of his mind. One night he rose up and reached under his bed to get it. As he picked up that Bible, he said he had an irresistible urge to open it and start reading it. He could not put it down. The presence of a Bible in his cell overcame the powers of darkness in his life and set him free as well as others in that prison!
I have heard several testimonies of sick people who had all kinds of prayer but nothing changed. One woman testified after becoming so desperate, “Every night as I lay down in bed, I would take my Bible and lay it on my chest.” She said it wasn’t long until her sickness was gone! It made me wonder: If a closed Bible can do that, what can an open Bible do?
My Sleepless Nights Have Come To An End
I have stumbled onto something concerning thoughts that kept me awake at night. In desperation, I put my Bible (a thin one) under my pillow. Immediately all I could think of was God and how His Word spoke the universe into existence. Those evil thoughts stopped and were replaced by Scriptures coming to my mind. I didn’t even have to try to resist those bad thoughts; they just left me. The Word of God put me to sleep. Please don’t think I am crazy. All I know is it worked for me.
I believe we are in a kairos moment to receive fresh manna, hot out of the oven of heaven. Yesterday’s manna has gone stale for us. I want to encourage you to imagine for a moment that you have never read anything in the Bible. Now open it and begin reading it, for the very first time.
Pray this simple prayer first: “Open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Thy law” (Ps. 119:18). {eoa}

The People’s Convoy Doesn’t Pass the Smell Test

All eyes are on Russia as Putin continues his unchecked invasion into Ukraine. He announced his intentions for weeks by his actions. Yet as late as Feb. 20, the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, denied that the Kremlin was preparing for an invasion of Ukraine, despite the fact that approximately 150,000 Russian forces were poised to strike.

As they did with Afghanistan, the Biden administration simply watched.

On Feb. 23, the denied strike took place as Putin invaded. The old adage “actions speak louder than words” is truth. We would do well to pay attention to that now.

I’ve heard some say that an invasion is not happening, the “good guys” are actually in control, and what we see taking place is simply a removal of deep state corruption. I pray that is the case. In any event, reports from people on the ground in the heart of Ukraine tell me that they have had to flee, and refugee centers are being set up. They are huddled in bomb shelters. The only thing that is clear is that none of us knows exactly what is going on. All the more reason for prayer.

As the incursion continues, as we pray for Ukraine and intervention against this horrific takeover, we must also be alert to what else is taking place. As our eyes are on one thing, rest assured there are devious actions taking place elsewhere.

This includes the Forbes news story on Thursday, “A National Vaccine Pass Has Quietly Rolled Out—And Red States Are Getting On Board,” which is a required smart health card with verifiable digital proof of vaccination.

Or the fact on Feb. 24, nine Chinese aircraft (including two H-6 bombers) entered Taiwan’s air defense zone, breaching the airspace. As we have come to expect from the Biden administration, staffers are ignoring these actions as they did the obvious signals in Afghanistan and now Ukraine.

Of the breach, a U.S. Defense official said, “This is not unusual. China has done this in the past a couple months ago [they] had similar type of events regularly.”

With weak to no leadership at the helm in our nation, it puts not only the United States but every freedom-loving country in danger.

Biden allowed Afghanistan to fall. He stood by as Ukraine was invaded, giving a clear signal for China to begin their long-awaited takeover of Taiwan. The United States has been the deterrent of tyrants—until now. The confused Biden has no clue what to do as takeover ensues.

Afghanistan, Canada, Ukraine, Taiwan …

So what’s next?

We are the next prize.

Many of us watched with anticipation and prayer as the Canadian truckers rolled into Ottawa in a peaceful protest against Trudeau’s authoritarian rule. For three weeks, we watched as they faithfully held vigil in freezing temperatures only to be disbanded by Trudeau’s ongoing totalitarian rule. When Trudeau called for the Emergencies Act, he further stripped the liberties of Canadians to give him “legal” access to the protesters’ bank accounts and assets.

Now we watch as the American Convoy for Freedom truckers attempt a similar protest. But something seems very wrong. They first announced their intent in mid-February and now have published their itinerary, which started in California Feb. 23. The convoy will stop in seven states in an 11-day slow march before they reach Washington, D.C., on Mar. 4.

What’s wrong with this picture?

Who announces and publishes their plans in advance to enemy forces? Has this actually turned into an invitation for a declaration of martial law and confiscation of assets? It has certainly given time for the National Guard or, worse yet, the United Nations to step in similar to Trudeau’s crackdown.

Sun Tzu, the masterful Chinese warrior, understood the importance of keeping strategy secret. “Let your plans be dark and as impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt” (Tzu, The Art of War).

The thunderbolt element is long gone.

Obviously whoever is leading the convoy didn’t get that memo. Now we have learned that the Canadian Freedom Convoy was possibly infiltrated at the top by four “leaders.” Perhaps that has happened with the American Convoy. But in any event, something doesn’t smell right.

While I wholeheartedly support peaceful protests and the actions of the Canadian truckers, I also believe we need to use wisdom. With their preemptive announcements and slow march forward, the American Convoy has given Washington, D.C., ample time to put actions in place with police and the National Guard to prevent an effective protest. Are they simply giving Biden’s handlers the very thing they desire, enabling them to call martial law and “legally” grant them greater power in the guise of “protecting” our nation?

Our fight to retain our freedom must not only be courageous but wise and effective. While our first action must always be prayer, we must also proceed with wise counsel, for “in the multitude of counselors, there is safety” (Prov. 11:4b, KJV).

As we watch the convoy inching toward Washington, D.C., may its members receive wise counsel and act on that as we continue to pray for Ukraine, our nation and the world. {eoa}

Satan’s All-Out Assault on Our Children

Satan is not just trying to silence the next generation. He is seeking to wipe it out, declaring an all-out war on our children. They are being slaughtered in the womb. They are being kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. They are being raped and abused and neglected and used. They are being brainwashed by their teachers and bullied by their peers. They are lost and lonely, depressed and suicidal. They cut themselves and kill themselves. Their innocence is being robbed, and their security is being stolen.

Without exaggeration, we can say that no generation in American history has been subject to such a concerted demonic attack. Just put yourself in the place of a child today, starting your dangerous journey to adulthood from within the womb. From the moment of conception, your life is at risk. Will you make it out of the womb or will you be like the multiplied millions who have been cut down before they could breathe their first official breath?

The demonic attack against you is especially acute if you are a Black baby. You have less than a 75% chance of making it out of the womb alive because of abortion. If you are a Black baby conceived in New York City, you have less than a 50% chance of making it out of the womb alive. As a result, “According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, abortion kills more Black people than HIV, homicide, diabetes, accident, cancer and heart disease … combined.” Can anyone spare some tears?

Let’s look at some nationwide trends, affecting tens of millions of young people.

We’ll start with suicide. One website explains:

— Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for ages 10–24.

— Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for college-age youth and ages 12–18.

— More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza and chronic lung disease COMBINED.

— Each day in our nation, there are an average of over 3,703 attempts by young people grades 9–12. If these percentages are additionally applied to grades 7 & 8, the numbers would be higher.

Along with issues like suicide, another website explains that in the next 24 hours in the United States:

— 2,795 teenage girls will become pregnant.

— 15,006 teens will use drugs for the first time.

— 3,506 teens will run away.

— 2 teens will be murdered.

What about children being sexually abused?

— During a one-year period in the U.S., 16% of youth ages 14 to 17 had been sexually victimized;

— Over the course of their lifetimes, 28% of U.S. youth ages 14 to 17 had been sexually victimized;

— Children are most vulnerable to CSA [child sexual abuse] between the ages of 7 and 13.

Even more shockingly, “according to a 2003 National Institute of Justice report, 3 out of 4 adolescents who have been sexually assaulted were victimized by someone they knew well.” And in a major, government-sponsored report, “Among the eye-opening statistics shared,” was the fact that “one website on Tor hosted 1.3 million images depicting children subjected to violent sexual abuse.”

Focusing on the incalculable damage done by porn,

— 64% of young people, ages 13–24, actively seek out pornography weekly or more often.

— Porn sites receive more website traffic in 2020 than Twitter, Instagram, Netflix, Zoom, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter combined.

— Recorded child sexual exploitation (known as “child porn”) is one of the fastest-growing online businesses.

— 624,000+ child porn traders have been discovered online in the U.S.

Is your heart bursting yet?

Is your holy blood boiling now? To every parent reading these words, to every educator, to every coach or mentor, to every big brother or sister, to every responsible adult or older teen, I ask: Isn’t it time to say, “Enough is enough!”? Isn’t it time to shout from the rooftops, “Not on my watch!”?

Even the effects of social media can be devastating for young people, as they literally become addicted to digital stimuli. Some of the negative side effects include depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation and communication issues.

What, then, must we do to protect the most vulnerable ones in our society? How do we save them from a demonically planned destiny and send them out to fulfill their God-given futures? It starts right here with each of us. It starts with holy indignation; with broken hearts; with godly determination; with Holy Spirit resolve. It starts right here with every one of us doing what we can to turn this sickeningly destructive tide. Satan must take his hands off our children!

How this too smacks of the influence of Jezebel. Jezebel represents the spirit of baby killing—in past generations, inspiring parents to burn their babies on idol altars and today, inspiring them to snuff out their little ones in the womb. She represents the spirit of radical feminism: hating men, mocking motherhood and despising the traditional family structure. And Jezebel represents the spirit of seduction, drawing youngsters into sexual activity and selling them into slavery. She is out to annihilate our kids.

So to every demonic spirit who is dead set on destroying our children, we say, “Take your hands off our kids! They belong to us, not to you, and you will not destroy their lives. We declare this together in Jesus’ name!” Then, in the sight of God, pledge yourself afresh to be the guardians of your children. Your words must be backed by your actions.

We must not downplay the urgency of the hour. The matter is grave, and we cannot underestimate the intensity of the battle. We must be tenacious in God if we are to win the war for our children. {eoa}
