How the Events of 9/11 Helped Move This Prayer Leader Into an End-Times Ministry

Tom Grossman didn’t consider himself a prayer warrior, much less a prophetic one. But when someone stopped him in the parking lot as he and his wife were leaving an early-morning prayer meeting and asked if he knew about what had happened at the World Trade Center, he turned on the radio. And what he heard there played a huge part in changing his life and his future ministry.

“I didn’t even know what the World Trade Centers were,” Grossman tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. But for the previous three weeks, he says, “Our big intercessory burden was Afghanistan. We didn’t think of ourselves as these advanced strategic prayer people or anything. We’re just sitting there praying, loving Jesus, asking Him what to pray about, letting Him lead us. And we’re praying for Afghanistan every day.”

In the aftermath of that prayer and of 9/11, Grossman and his daughter attended a Mike Bickle prophetic conference where he spoke to Bickle about the attack and its connection to the book of Revelation. “When Mike gets excited, he’s excited,” Grossman says. “He started preaching to me out of the book of Revelation.”

By the end of that conference, Grossman says, he realized he didn’t understand Revelation at all. He had recently had some supernatural encounters that started him on a journey of prayer and prayer ministry, and God gave him a vision about the Second Coming during this time as well.

“I realized that if the Lord’s called me to this [ministry] through the vision I had, then I need to start reading the book of Revelation,” Grossman explains. “So I just started reading it through once a day, every morning… just from beginning to end with maybe some instrumental music in the background. I did that for maybe 2 1/2 months. … So that’s how 9/11 affected me. It really put me into studying the book of Revelation on a much deeper level than I ever had before.”

Entrepreneur? Prophet? Maybe Both

I thought to myself, “There must be a better way, God.”

I was referring to the struggle I had embracing that my prophetic calling could be intertwined with an entrepreneur spirit.

I’d grown up as a third-generation pastor. Pastors and business don’t seem to be on the same wavelength of thinking many times.

But then I began to discover that not only I was a pastor, I was also a prophet. Even more than that, I also had an entrepreneur edge.

Those three elements didn’t seem to fit well together—prophet, pastor, entrepreneur.

But they do. They are actually found in the life of Joseph.

Joseph was an amazing entrepreneur-prophet who loved God and heard from God, and everything he touched turned to gold.

Do you ever feel like the different aspects of your gifting don’t fit together either?

Do you sense a prophetic call on your life but wrestle with the fact that you love to work in the marketplace?

Are you good at helping others get breakthrough in business?

Do you see where things are out of order in systems, organizations and with leadership structures?

Maybe you could have a prophetic grace on your life, but it’s not to be a message-prophet. It’s to be an entrepreneur-prophet like Joseph.

Join me on Emerging Prophets on Charisma Podcast Network to learn more about this exciting revelation. {eoa}

Why I Didn’t Share My Faith

How old were you the first time you heard someone share the gospel outside of church? I was in my 40s. It happened when I was in the backseat of a taxi in Beirut. My friend Caroline, a Syrian refugee, asked our Muslim taxi driver if he knew Jesus. He said, “No. Who is Jesus?”

As I sat in that backseat and listened as Caroline shared the Good News, I kept thinking, “Is this even allowed here?” And then I thought, “I could never do that in America.”

Before Caroline, it never occurred to me to share my faith. If she could do it so boldly in the Middle East, I wondered if I could do it as well. Why had I never thought to share my faith before? I’d always thought of myself as a good Christian girl just working and raising a family in the suburbs. I went to church most Sundays, volunteered in the children’s ministry, prayed and did women’s Bible studies. I supported several missionaries who went to share the gospel “over there,” wherever “there” was.

My believing friends were mostly like me. We were crazy-busy working, raising families, doing Bible studies, volunteering. We were overwhelmed and exhausted at day’s end. No one I knew had the time or energy to share the hope of Jesus with anyone who wasn’t already in our friend circles. We didn’t even talk about it.

A wise mentor taught me, “Thoughts lead to actions, and actions lead to results.” Knowing that my faith-filled friends and I were completely unaware of our need to share our faith here, how intentional do you think our actions were toward sharing the gospel? Pretty unintentional. The Lord might have been wooing people to Himself all around us, and we never noticed. We were focused on raising our families, keeping safe and pursuing the great American dream. How about you?

In my defense, when I was a kid, 93% of Americans identified as Christian. I didn’t know anyone of another faith or culture, so I never thought about sharing my faith with anyone. A lot has happened since then.

Now less than 65% of Americans identify as Christian. People from many nations live here, and our neighbors are Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or hold no faith at all. We can cross the street to be authentic Christian witnesses among the nations. Yet most Christians are not doing so.

It’s ironic. Jesus told us to go be His witnesses among the nations. Now 95% of the world’s unreached people groups live in America, and most everyday Christians are not talking about this.

I understand. I felt that same ways until I heard Caroline share the gospel in the backseat of that taxi in the Middle East. She was the catalyst who forever changed my thoughts and actions for talking about my faith. Why I Made the Radical Decision to Publish ‘Let America Live’

When Dr. Stella Immanuel stepped to the microphone in Anaheim, California, in mid-July at the ReAwaken America rally, the atmosphere changed from political rally to church service. Already the crowd of enthusiastic conservatives brought together by Clay Clark cheered in anticipation of speakers such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny, Julie Mikovits and others.

Immanuel, originally from Cameroon but practicing in Houston, Texas, is one of the Frontline doctors who believe alternative treatments actually help COVID-19 patients get well; they also question the vaccine’s effectiveness. For this they have been consistently canceled by the medical establishment and the secular media. I included a chapter in my new book, God and Cancel Culture, called “Controlling People Through COVID-19,” and one of my main sources was my May podcast interview with Immanuel.

Not only is Immanuel a successful physician with an active practice, but she is also a Spirit-filled Christian, a prophet and the founder of Fire Power Ministries in Katy, Texas. She devotes her life and resources to teaching believers to identify sources of spiritual weakness, deception and defeat to learn strategies of warfare to enable them to get and maintain their freedom. In Anaheim, Dr. Immanuel moved into spiritual warfare. “The church is the only entity that can fight this battle, and we have been missing in action,” she said, in full preacher mode. She added a spiritual dimension to the ReAwaken America tour.

At the rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which took place in mid-August when this issue was mailed, I joined the tour to speak on cancel culture. I also hosted my first meet and greet, and I look forward to future events in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sept. 24-25, and San Antonio, Texas, Nov. 11-13.

I watched the eight-hour Anaheim event online, and I thought Immanuel was the most exciting speaker there. As I did further study on the truth behind the cancel culture’s lies, I became persuaded she had a message to get out. So when she approached me about publishing her new book, Let America Live: Exposing the Hidden Agenda Behind the 2020 Pandemic: My Journey, I was excited to do so—even though no other publisher would touch it.

Even some of my staff said publishing the book was too risky because we might get in the crosshairs of the cancel culture crowd. But I read the manuscript and realized it’s a carefully researched book and will open many people’s eyes to the cancel culture. Charisma will cover it more extensively next month and online after her book releases Oct. 5.

Immanuel has treated more than 7,000 corona-virus-infected or symptomatic patients at her Houston clinic and online via telemedicine, and of that number only eight have died—all of whom were in advanced stages of the disease.

In her book, she writes: “These results beg the question, why have the United States government and the Centers for Disease Control made a concerted effort to conceal the truth about hydroxychloroquine, arguably COVID-19’s most effective treatment? Not only have government-sponsored and political organizations been trying to pull the wool over our nation’s collective eyes concerning hydroxychloroquine, going so far as to mock, discredit and even villainize those who, like me, have become vocal advocates of it, but I am now fully convinced that there exists an evil, diabolical conspiracy of widespread cover-up and misinformation to mislead Americans—and people around the world—concerning the truth about COVID-19, including where it came from and how to treat it.”

I hope you will want to read this important book and plan to attend one of Clark’s ReAwaken America tours. Register to obtain your tickets at this link, , and receive special pricing and the opportunity to attend a meet and greet with me when a member of Clark’s team calls you. Why You Should Pray for God’s Wisdom Ways

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52, NKJV).

Wisdom is one of the primary qualities of God’s Holy Spirit—in Isaiah 11:1-3, the spirit of wisdom is listed as one of the seven Spirits of God. He is wisdom personified: “God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself” (1 Cor. 1:30, NLT). I would say wisdom is even more vital to prophetic people than the divine revelation they receive because only through God-sent wisdom can they know how to handle the word of the Lord in the right way.

What Is Wisdom?

God values wisdom so much that altogether the words “wisdom” or “wise” are used more than 456 times in the Bible. Clearly, wisdom is a valuable commodity! Yet do we truly understand what wisdom is? Or do we simply presume to know? In the New Testament, the wise apostle James provides clarity regarding the nature of God’s wisdom:

“The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure and full of quiet gentleness. Then it is peace-loving and courteous. It allows discussion and is willing to yield to others; it is full of mercy and good deeds. It is wholehearted and straightforward and sincere” (James 3:17, TLB).

Synonyms for the word “wisdom” help flesh out its meaning. They include: understanding, knowledge, good sense, insight, perception, astuteness, acumen, prudence, sagacity, good judgment and more. I want and need multiplied quantities of every one of those qualities. How about you?

In every generation, some believers exemplify wisdom to a high degree. In everything they say and do, you can recognize the mind and heart of God. Their sterling character shines beautifully. They care about others more than themselves. They humbly seek God before they give advice or take action. Like anybody, they can veer off the narrow way (as Solomon did), but the good fruit of their lives far outweighs the bad.

How Do We Obtain Wisdom?

How can we best lay hold of God’s wisdom? We already know we must surrender ourselves to His lordship and lean on Him continually, but does that guarantee that His wisdom will flow into our lives? What should we expect? How can we recognize God’s wisdom when it comes?

How does His wisdom come to us? Is it a sovereign gift from God? Is it a spiritual presence? Is our personal wisdom assembled from extensive reading and studying? Or does it come mostly from experience—spending years in the “school of hard knocks”?

There is no one answer because wisdom comes in all of the manners listed above. We can see this when we search for the word “wisdom” in Scripture. Consider the following:

Wisdom as a gift. “For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit” (1 Cor. 12:8, NKJV).

Wisdom as a spirit. “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and of might, the spirit of the knowledge and the fear of the Lord” (Isa. 11:2, NIV).

Wisdom from studying. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15, KJV).

Wisdom arising from life experience. “For the righteous falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity” (Prov. 24:16, ESV).

“Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent” (Prov. 17:28, NLT).

Since our dear Lord Jesus “increased” and grew in wisdom, stature and favor with God (see Luke 2:52), then we should expect to do so as well. I think that it is remarkable that Jesus, who was God in the flesh, kept increasing in His wisdom throughout His life on earth.

Our increase in wisdom will not happen automatically, though. Like me, you surely have met people you knew many years before, whom you have been dismayed to see that they never matured much at all. They still act like teenagers who are “wet behind the ears,” even though they may have a diploma, a career, a family and a nice car. They don’t even realize they lack the mature wisdom their years could have won for them.

Scripture says that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:10); humble surrender to God must be the first step. We need all the wisdom we can get, and we always need more wisdom as long as we are alive on this earth. The apostle James clearly stated that we must ask for more wisdom—and that if you do, God will grant it to you: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5, NKJV). Even King Solomon, who was famous for his unsurpassed wisdom, asked God for it:

“So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” It was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing. God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice, behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you” (1 Kings 3:9-12).

Wisdom Comes by Prayer

How should we make our requests to God for wisdom? Well, in the simplest of terms, we must admit, “God, I lack wisdom.” And then we acknowledge, “But You have a limitless supply of wisdom, and You have shown Your desire to share it with the people You have created. You have come to us as Jesus, who is wisdom itself. I ask You to release Your wisdom to me concerning the problem in front of me.” And then expect God’s wisdom to rise up in you.

Ask with complete faith that God wants to answer your prayer, and He will. That is what the apostle James wrote:

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind” (James 1:5-6).

Wisdom is invaluable for any believer alongside any of the gifts of the Spirit. As you already know, we need all the wisdom we can get, particularly when we are handling a word of revelation and increasing pressure as the end times unfold. Since my youth, my prayer for wisdom has been one of the three guiding prayers for my life. Many of you know this.

These are my three guiding prayers since childhood:

me a heart of purity to keep me from the evil way.

2. Give me the Spirit of counsel like you did to Joseph for those in authority.

3. Give me wisdom beyond my years to solve complex problems like Solomon.

I have prayed various versions of these three prayers since my preteen years and continue to do so to this day.

Closing Word of Wisdom

Do not let your quest for wisdom become an excuse for perfectionism to keep you in the seat of the observer. Life and ministry do not work that way. If perfection is your goal, you will never get married, start that new career or take that leap of faith. If you mistake wisdom with a fear of stepping out, then you will be an observer and scoffer to the moves of God.

Wisdom comes by jumping in the middle of life. Wisdom comes from participating. Wisdom comes from stepping out of the boat and reaching out to Jesus. Never let your quest for wisdom become misplaced fear. Let your wisdom always be filled with faith that leads you into an adventure with the Holy Spirit. That’s the Jesus I know.

Weekly ‘Prayer on the Square’ for America in Newton County, Missouri, Hits One-Year Mark

Monday marks one year since a weekly prayer meeting was first held on the courthouse steps in Newton County, Missouri, calling believers to prayer for our nation. Despite the abrupt change brought on the world by the pandemic, back in the summer of 2020, my spirit sensed dark clouds developing over America. A decay in society that began to accelerate as the election drew nearer convicted me that God wanted to use our radio station in this effort.

I believe prayer changes things. I hope our experience will inspire others.

To understand what happened, it’s helpful to know that my journey into the world of radio was not intentional on my part. But I can understand now that what took place over 36 years ago was an assignment “for such a time as this” (see Esther 1:14).

God gave me a voice in the public arena those many years ago, and the 2020 election seemed to be that moment where this platform would be used to awaken the sleeping Christians to the serious trouble looming on the horizon if we did not unite in prayer humbly before the Lord.

In July 2020, I met with the Newton County, Missouri, commissioners to get permission to meet on the Newton County Courthouse lawn each Monday evening prior to the November elections.

With their gracious approval, we held our very first “Prayer on the Square” event Aug. 3 in Neosho, Missouri, with roughly 40 eager believers joining me under the gazebo on the corner of the courthouse lawn. Each Monday, the numbers varied, some of the faces changed—many were always there, but many new ones would come and pray for a good outcome in the election for our nation.

Then what we had prayed for in earnest did not happen. The election went a different direction, and all I could do afterward was drive to that same little corner of the courthouse lawn and humbly seek the Lord.

To my surprise, dozens of people also showed up to pray because we didn’t know what else to do.

I have learned that this assignment, which began with my position at what was once the smallest Christian radio station in Southwest Missouri, now in the top 10 stations in its market, did not get there by my effort but by hitting my knees in trust that He would sustain it for His glory—which He has and more!

I sought Him and knew that He is faithful, and we must remain so as well.

Since that first prayer meeting in August 2020, we have continued each Monday night since to lift our nation humbly before the Lord, seeking His guidance, wisdom and mercy in a time almost foreign to these generations.

The people come from across the four-state area: young, elderly, some with walkers, some with babies in strollers—no matter the rain, the cold or the heat, they come. Some who pray are veterans grieving for the nation that they served and sacrificed so much for in their lives.

One 90-year-old woman sat in the back of a truck bed in a lawn chair; someone pointed to her and said, “Now she is a real prayer warrior, right there!”

I went to her and asked if she would like to pray, and she replied, “If you need me to.”

I asked two men to stand on either side of her to hold her up, and she prayed with the heart of someone who had seen the works of the Lord, knew Him to be true and faithful from her childhood. It was marvelous and humbling.

The next person to pray was a 12-year-old boy from Seneca, Missouri, who had a mohawk haircut and prayed for his school and his fellow students.

They come from all denominations and all walks of life to that little gazebo on the square. Many are afraid for the nation that they love, but we all know that prayer is the greatest weapon we have in our arsenal, a direct line to our Creator God.

One night, I felt convicted to tell the group gathered outside that forgiveness is critical to the Lord hearing us. I reminded them of the terrible murder of a man in Portland, Oregon, shot for wearing a Make America Great Again hat. Then I introduced a woman standing next to me, the sister of the man who had been killed, and she prayed for the shooter, forgiving him, and then she prayed for that man’s family. Despite her own grief, she lifted them up in prayer.

I realize I am only to show up in obedience because God is in charge. We continue to pray each Monday night until He makes it clear what path He directs us down, either national healing or rescuing His sheep from the wilderness. {eoa}

Top of the Week: Spirit-Filled Pastor Responds to Mackenzie Morgan Calling Out Hillsong, Bethel and Elevation

Here’s a quick summary of the top stories featured this week on :

Spirit-Filled Pastor’s Response to Mackenzie Morgan Calling Out Hillsong, Bethel and Elevation

I appreciate Mackenzie Morgan’s boldness to stand against wishy-washy churches in this article titled, “Worship leader no longer supports Hillsong, Elevation, Bethel Music over ‘false gospel message.'” More and more churches may be following suit in regard to her stance.

But I also think it’s important to ask some additional questions.

For example, “Is it possible to not endorse or agree with [such-and-such church] but still listen to their worship in a corporate setting?”

First, I want to be clear that my position has never been, “I don’t care what the roots are; I’m playing their music.” I myself am in the process of evaluation.

Despite Vaccine, Max Lucado Tests Positive for COVID

Christian author and preacher Max Lucado says he recently tested positive for COVID-19 despite vaccination.

Lucado said on social media: “Groan. Covid found me. Tested positive yesterday. Was planning to preach today @oakhillschurch and go with some guys on epic golf trip to Ireland tomorrow. Turns out it’s me in a downstairs room with aches, stuffy head and quarantine.”

Lucado says while it prevented him from preaching last weekend and going on that golf trip, he believes the misery he’s enduring could have been worse if he hadn’t had the vaccine.

Anne Graham Lotz’s Son Jonathan Out of ICU, Begins Rehab After COVID Battle

Friends of the Billy Graham family across the globe are rejoicing with the news from Anne Graham Lotz that her son and Billy Graham’s grandson, Jonathan Lotz, has moved out of ICU and will begin rehab after a serious battle with COVID-19.

His mother posted her praise on Facebook, quoting a poem her mother, Ruth Bell Graham, taught her along with a photo of her mother and Jonathan:

Watchman on the Wall: Michael Gungor and the Great Falling Away

Michael Gungor is the latest Christian celebrity to denounce Christ, part of the unfortunate fulfillment of a prophetically-inspired question I posed nearly a decade ago announcing the great falling away is underway.

The popular Christian alternative rock musician is a full-blown atheist now. And his wife has followed him into his apostasy. A meme is circulating around Instagram in which Gungor insists, “Jesus was Christ. Buddha was Christ. Muhammad was Christ. Christ is a word for the Universe itself. You are Christ. We are the body of Christ.”

Blasphemy! This is a doctrine of demons! He’s not the first. A growing number of “visible” Christians have turned their back on Christ—and for all those with name recognition, there are likely thousands upon thousands more who have strayed from His heart.

End-Times Author Asks, ‘Is the Rapture Imminent?’
Is the rapture imminent?

The idea of an imminent rapture portrays a weak Lord. I find it difficult to comprehend how Christianity could ever accept God as weak. If true, any possible perceived weakness would be a projection by mankind, based on our own weaknesses; this saddens God.

When I share that the rapture is designed by God to be a grand visual event, to be witnessed by the entire world, I am often told I am wrong. Some even reject me out of hand without the courtesy of hearing me out. This is not my story; it is God’s! The Bible shares dozens of verses confirming the rapture is not coming in secret at any moment. {eoa}

This past weekend, Graham Lotz requested prayer for her son, a pastor and director of Jonathan Lotz Ministries, who was in ICU at the time. She also shared a note he wrote from his hospital bed: “He is being fruitful in the land of his affliction: ‘I am physically exhausted yet Spiritually overflowing! I am continually pouring over the Psalms of Ascent (120-134) in ICU. I have had the privilege of sharing Jesus with the ER & ICU staff! What a Savior! God is so good!'”

Why Now Is the Time to Pray for Cuba and End Ideology of Communism

As President Joe Biden wrestles over whether to end the United States’ embargo against Cuba—which originated in 1958 but was augmented several times until 1962 when it was extended to include almost all imports—the island nation 90 miles from Key West, Florida continues to see unrest.

Now is the time to pray. In December 2019, I had a vision of the embargo against Cuba ending in the short-term. Remember, most of the people alive today did not choose this government or this rule of law. This is a behemoth spirit spreading the ideology of communism.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said recently “almost all the countries in the world” are against the U.S. embargo.

Prophetic Word: Season of the Most Unlikely Things

Unusual Season of Changes

We are in an unusual season right now where God is supernaturally accelerating all things. As we are drawing near to Rosh Hashannah and to the new Hebrew year 5782, God is getting ready to close doors and to open up new doors of chosen destinies.

Great Exposure and Cleansing

There has been a great shaking of the occult, pedophilia, witchcraft lies, the deep state and of the falsity of the church. God is judging His house and is purifying His bride.

The Lord is testing and cleansing His people from any pride, flesh and the things of the world as He is wanting to promote the Daniels and the Shadrachs, Meshachs and Abednegos of this land.

Watch and Pray

“Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matt. 26:41).

Many will be falling and many unlikely things will be happening. We are in a season of unusual things taking place.

The most unlikely people you thought of will fail you, and the Lord will pair you and partner you up with the most unlikely of people.

We are in a season where God is lifting up the humble and pulling down the proud.

“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty” (1 Cor. 1:27).

This is so that we would not trust in our own gifting, thoughts and intuitions but that we would truly lean into the Lord and trust His ways only.

The Remnant Is Rising

As the old generals and fathers are passing onto glory and as some are falling into sin and failure, there is a new generation of voices rising.

And some of these fire brands are some of the most unusual, unlikely of people who God is allowing to rise up in the ranks of society.

We are seeing this take place in politics. Some of the most unlikely of people are now running for Congress in many different counties and states.

We are seeing new voices of influence rise up in social justice and reform, media and arts, science and health, and politics and the church.

Some of the most unlikely, out of the box, unusual, questionable, improbable and untraditional types of people are rising up for such a time as this.

Why? It is to shake the religious system! It is to shake the false foundations of comfort, and it is to awake this nation to a new move of the Holy Spirit.

It is to shake the swampy systems of old that are running peoples’ lives into the ruin and far away from the true move of God’s Spirit and truth.

The Nameless and the Faceless

Many leaders and voices we used to trust are now losing their credibility, their authority, their platforms and their rankings because of undealt with issues and certain mixtures in their own hearts.

They have overstepped their lanes and have falsely represented the heart of God.

As we are seeing this shaking take place, God is raising up a generation of the nameless and the faceless, that prophets Bob Jones and Paul Cain of the Kansas City Prophets once prophesied about!

God is turning the “nobodies into somebodies,” and those who think they are a somebody will suddenly become a nobody.

The Most Unlikely of Things

Expect God to begin to surprise and shock you with some of the most unlikely of things. The most unlikely of people will suddenly fail you, and the most unlikely of people will suddenly come into your life to bless you.

God has a mysterious way of debunking our own traditions and prides and wanting to teach us afresh, by a new childlike dependence and faith in Him, who is the ever-perfect teacher and true rabbi.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa. 55:9).

“But the anointing which you have received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. For as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in Him” (1 John 2:27). {eoa}

No Repentance, No Revival

Are you increasingly disheartened over the spiritual condition of the church? Are you fervently contending for God to revive His bride? Please keep interceding for revival—we need your prayers—but we also need a hunger in prayer for a spirit of repentance to pour upon the church.

Sin can stand in the way of what God wants to do both individually and corporately. Repentance both prepares hearts for revival and comes as a supernatural consequence of revival. Repentance comes first, then revival—in that order. No repentance, no revival.

Are you familiar with a revival where a church began to publicly repent for sins committed?

Pastors publicly confessed their adulterous affairs, the embezzlement of church funds and murder attempts on their wives. This led to hundreds of other public confessions, which wet the floors with tears of repentance.

The convicting presence of the Lord was so powerful that it was not so much the enormity of the sins disclosed but the agonizing groans of those repenting that shocked the onlookers.

To find out more about this revival, where voices uncontrollably shook under the convicting spirit of repentance, listen this week’s episode of Fire Starter on Charisma Podcast Network. {eoa}
