Trump Cancels North Korea Summit With Kim Jong Un

The following is the full text of a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, canceling their planned June 12 summit in Singapore.

The letter, dated May 24, was released by the White House on Thursday:

The White House

Washington

May 24, 2018

His Excellency

Kim Jong Un

Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

Pyongyang

Dear Mr. Chairman:

We greatly appreciate your time, patience and effort with respect to our recent negotiations and discussions relative to a summit long sought by both parties, which was scheduled to take place on June 12 in Singapore. We were informed that the meeting was requested by North Korea, but that to us is totally irrelevant. I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.

I felt a wonderful dialog was building up between you and me, and ultimately, it is only that dialog that matters. Someday, I look very much forward to meeting you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages who are now home with their families. That was a beautiful gesture and was very much appreciated.

If you change your mind having to do with this most important summit, please do not hesitate to call me or write. The world, and North Korea in particular, has lost a great opportunity for lasting peace and great prosperity and wealth. This missed opportunity is a truly sad moment in history.

Sincerely yours,

Donald J. Trump

President of the United States of America

Urgent Prayer Alert: Satanists Declare War Against Spirit-Filled Senator

Senator Jason Rapert spoke with Charisma News recently about an uptick in spiritual warfare against his family since he started bringing God back into the public square. Here’s part of his story.

What is your specific involvement with the Ten Commandments statue?

I was the original sponsor of ACT 1231 the Arkansas Ten Commandments Monument Act. I filed the legislation in 2015 when it was originally passed by the Arkansas legislature and signed into law by Gov. Asa Hutchinson. After the bill became law, I formed the American History & Heritage Foundation, installed a board of directors and we began raising private money to pay for the monument and installation as the law required. After the monument was destroyed, I vowed to raise the money again to ensure the monument was re-installed. You can read more here:

How were you attacked for your involvement?

From the beginning, I started receiving hostile e-mails, threatening messages and hate mail. I endured public ridicule by the atheist community, extreme liberals and even by organized satanic organizations.

There is no question the American public has been successfully confused about the Judeo-Christian history and heritage of our nation by secular humanist organizations over the past few decades. The ignorance present in our country about the Ten Commandments as a historical and moral influence on the development of American jurisprudence has fueled the intensity of organizations that seek to undermine any reference to God in the public square.

If a public display of the Ten Commandments is good enough for the United States Supreme Court to have carved on the doors leading into the court chamber, then it is appropriate and good for every state, county and city in our nation to honor the Ten Commandments as well.

How has your faith been strengthened throughout the ordeal?

Psalm 56:11 has been one of my favorite verses—I put my trust in God; what can any man do to me as I stand up for truth? The Word says “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me” (Matt. 5:11). No one likes to have people talk bad about them, attack their business, their ministry and seek to defame their name.

We have definitely endured public persecution by those who hate the things of God in our country, but I am revolved to stand up for what is right, advocate righteousness in the public square and do my best to ensure our nation lives up to our national motto “In God We Trust.”

I was ordained into the ministry before ever entering into politics. I was also a businessman, raising my daughters and enjoying life with my wife, just like many people reading this article today. Our family has been active in evangelism and mission work through our ministry, , since 2002.

But in 2009, God began to deal with me about what was going on in our nation and I found myself stirred to run for elected office and do my part to help turn our nation around. This struggle about staying focused purely on our ministry which was our heartbeat—building water wells in Ghana, West Africa; conducting village feedings; funding scholarships for African pastors to spread the gospel in their own country; preaching and teaching on the power of God to transform lives and helping those who cannot help themselves—or actually running for political office was a tough one at first.

I prayed and fasted for God to clearly direct me on what He wanted me to do. I will never forget the clear answer God gave me in early 2010 during my prayer time. He actually posed a question to me, “Why are you not willing to sacrifice to serve at “home” at the same level you have sacrificed to serve overseas in mission work when it is your country that is now in trouble?” I realized that America was in terrible spiritual decline, and if I did not stand up and do something, the nation would continue to dishonor God and the future of our nation was in jeopardy.

Just like so many reading this article today, I have a strong faith in God. History shows that most of our Founding Fathers had a strong faith in God as well. The Pilgrims set their hand to a contract asking for God’s blessings on this nation during their first voyage to the New World when they executed the Mayflower Compact.

Decades later when the Declaration of Independence was drafted, our Founding Fathers made sure to incorporate references to God as our “Creator”, “Supreme Judge of the World” and “Divine Providence” throughout the founding document of our nation. American history is full of references to God in our public and private lives.

The recognition of this history and my dedication to a biblical worldview has always led me to take stands honoring God and the influence of the Bible whether it be sponsoring the nation’s first successful heartbeat bill in 2013 when we passed the Arkansas Heartbeat Protection Act; passing resolutions to honor Israel; sponsoring resolutions to defend marriage between one man and one woman; honoring George Washington and the Washington Cruiser Flag, which includes the phrase “An Appeal To Heaven” or sponsoring the Ten Commandments Monument Act which honors the historical and moral foundation of law in our country.

These bold stands have resulted in vicious personal attacks by the liberal media, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the American Atheists, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the Satanic Temple and other extreme liberal activists. My work against abortion and advocating for the Ten Commandments have made national news, and this publicity has drawn tremendous attacks against our family—from death threats in 2013 for my work on the Arkansas Heartbeat Bill to false police reports being filed against me by a liberal activist who came to our community just this year who has been dispatched to “bring me down.”

That man was arrested, he has been charged and is being prosecuted for his false police report against me.

I have given everything I have to be a voice for what is right in our state and our nation. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Genesis 1:26-28 is a clear directive to all who serve God—we have been given dominion and authority over everything in the earth.

God meant for His people to subdue and influence the entire world and every aspect of life—this passage is the foundation of that notion. We need Christians all over this nation to pray and ask God if He would have them serve on school boards, city councils, county quorum courts, state legislative offices and Congress. Regardless of the false accusations, the personal attacks and the plans meant to silence my voice—I remain committed to upholding the United States Constitution and being a voice for Judeo-Christian principles in our nation.

What sort of spiritual warfare have you encountered over the last year or so with the project?

Over the years, I have come to recognize the rise in spiritual warfare surrounding struggles in the political arena in our nation. I happen to believe we are in a very critical time in our country. Spiritual warfare is manifesting into the physical realm—school shootings, the nearly 60 million killed in our nation by abortion, crumbling marriages, opioid abuse, the rise in youth suicides and churches’ struggle with apostasy in their pulpits because of ordaining homosexuals and more. The country and the church are under spiritual attack. We must stand up and be strong, earnestly contending for the faith as Jude commands (Jude 20).

On a personal level, our family depends upon prayer and fasting to endure the personal attacks that have come against us. God’s Word sustains us, as it says in Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me, says the Lord” (Isa. 54:17). {eoa}

Is This the Root of All Your Problems?

When is the last time you walked into a room full of people and all you thought about was them? How can I be a blessing to them, how can I make their day, how can I bring joy to their heart? How deep can a man go into selflessness where he is no longer concerned about himself, thinking of himself—thinking of ways to get ahead, to put himself in the best possible light in all conversations and appearances, to look good, to impress others and to project an image of himself that belies who he really is? Did Jesus ever live a day with that sort of mindset?

Why do men do this? Could this selfishness and self-focus be the larger part of what Jesus came to free us from?

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30).

Is not self-consciousness the largest part of the bitter fruit of what the law produces? And is not cultivating a God-consciousness and beholding the glory of the Lord, as in a mirror, with your heart, the solution toward this sort of radical transformation Jesus came to bring? Is this not the bigger part of what it means to grow up into Him and mature? Is not coming to Him and learning of Him what produces selflessness in our lives and a blessed rest where we quit striving to be someone, to achieve something, to be great as the world counts greatness?

Here’s where much of the body of Christ is at today.

“For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a gluttonous man, a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is justified by her children” (Matt. 11:18-19).

Our actions often fail to justify that we are the children of God. We argue, we fuss and we constantly engage in doctrinal disputes. Many seem to be consistently looking to pick a fight, to grumble and complain about things, and to never be satisfied unless our own opinions and points of view are heard. Our strife and division are our most frequent and consistent witness to the world. But listen to what Jesus said:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

How did Jesus love us? He denied Himself totally and completely to reconcile us to God. He brought to us the highest life by a firm committal to His death on the cross. His deepest motivation was to go as low as He could go to lift us up as high as we could go—the lowest death producing the highest life. He endured this death because we were His joy.

“Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb. 12:2).

Should not this be our aim—to be like Him? To be conformed to His image? To love as He loved? How else will the world know that we are indeed Jesus’ disciples?

Many churches are known for many different things. Some are known for prophecy or their charismatic gifts, some for benevolence, some for their good singing or great preaching, etc. but how many are known for their love, not in word but in deed?

But it is the revelation that we are loved by Him that will ultimately produce the beginning of this transformation in our lives. We must constantly be receiving His love in order to release His love. The greatest glory we can experience on the earth is to know how loved we are by God. When we live loved, we will manifest His love to others.

When you truly commune with God you lose what you don’t need, and gain what you need in His presence. You lose those burdensome, weary, burned out physical and emotional feelings that come from constant striving, and you gain real rest in your soul that comes from His grace and knowing His love. This Scripture blesses me immensely and gives me a glimpse into real freedom:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” (Matt. 11:28, MSG).

Some Christians pray and worship regularly, read the Bible faithfully, attend church consistently and constantly show God how much they love Him, but still have no peace and mental freedom. What’s the problem?

The revelatory truth of how much they are loved by God has not yet gripped them. They see themselves through their own weaknesses and shortcomings instead of through the eyes of the love of Christ. Their pursuit of God is from a position of somehow trying to earn His love instead of from position of already being loved.

This is one of the greatest prayers that we can pray for ourselves and for one another:

“That He would give you, according to the riches of His glory, power to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:16-19).

The fullness of God is to know His love which is beyond our intellectual capacity and knowledge. To be filled with the revelation of God’s love is to be filled with all His fulness. There is nothing greater. As believers, we’ve got to move past identifying ourselves with anyone or anything—whether they be our failures, our greatest achievements/accomplishments, man’s acceptance and approval, what we do or don’t do, our jobs/careers, churches, ministries, finances and so on. and move into a full-fledged identity with His love.

The heart that knows he is loved by God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ ceases to look elsewhere for love, peace and satisfaction. His delight is in the Lord. He has found his dwelling place and his rest in Him. When you receive a revelation of His deep love for you, it will put such a delight and contentment in your soul. It is then that you will truly live free and full.

Can One Drink Really Change the Course of Someone’s Life?

In her latest book, Sipping Skinny: Drink Away the Pounds (June 5, 2018), Cherie Calbom, a leading authority on health and detoxification, shares her health journey and how a liquid diet turned her life around for the best.

Calbom describes when she developed chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Her body ached all over, and she was constantly feverish, with swollen glands and unending lethargy. When she began juicing, there wasn’t an instant change, and the detox reactions were intense.

“I was obviously very toxic, and my body was cleansing away all that stuff that had made me sick. This caused the not-so-good days in the midst of the promising ones,” Calbom recounts.

But one morning she woke up and felt as if she was in a new body. Juicing had renewed her energy and completely restored her health. With her juicer in tow, Calbom set out to spread the word about this metabolism-boosting, calorie-saving and blood-sugar-balancing diet.

Juicing and souping is not like other diet plans that keep weight off but never quite get to the root of weight gain. Calbom calls for readers to not just lose weight, but to also gain health. She shows how incorporating juices, soups, smoothies and other beverages can be the key to changing your internal landscape.

Sipping Skinny includes insight on her Watercress Soup Diet, which was featured on the cover of Woman’s World magazine and has proven to enable weight loss, internal cleansing, healing and renewed energy. Calbom features watercress recipes so readers can experience this nutrient-rich meal for themselves.

“I try never to promote anything I haven’t tried and don’t believe in. That’s why I know that the suggestions and lifestyle plans in Sipping Skinny work. They can help you find better health and fitness,” Calbom says.

7 Wisdom Tips for Millennial Prophets

God is raising up Millennial prophetic voices with great clarity and accuracy. But no matter what our age, we can benefit from wisdom in prophetic ambassadorship.

In this video, I share far more than seven wisdom tips for Millennial prophets. In reality, these tips apply to us all.

Progressives Are Prepping the U.S. for Sharia-Lite

Even before his election in 2016, President Donald Trump took heat for “cruel” immigration policies and proposed reforms. Once in office, the Trump administration released a list of countries from which travelers were temporarily banned from the U.S. He has also taken on the “Dreamers” debate and has communicated plans for a pathway to legal immigration and citizenship.

Many Christians struggle with what the Bible says about immigration and how believers should respond to the news surrounding immigration, says religion and culture expert, national radio host and author Dr. Alex McFarland. But when the debate is held to the litmus test of natural law and compared to the infiltration of ideologies that are inherently counter to American ideals, arguments are clearer.

“Liberals, whether they know it or not, are prepping us for Sharia-lite,” said McFarland, who is also Director for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at the Christian Worldview Center of North Greenville University (NGU) in Greenville, South Carolina. “Social progressivism is Sharia-lite, with the full edition to be uploaded in the next couple of decades. Humans have an innate sense to protect themselves and their families, which is why we lock our doors—to protect from the bad and to let the good in. Likewise, on airplanes, we are instructed to secure our own oxygen masks before helping others. If we don’t prepare and strengthen ourselves and if we allow ourselves to weaken, we can’t be of use to anyone else.

“Liberals exempt themselves from the same standards they say are applicable to everyone else,” he added. “They have locks on their doors, but want everyone else to let the world in. They pontificate how everyone else should live and think, but don’t do it themselves.”

McFarland also pointed to the “dhimmi status” of Islam, which claims that no one is forced into the religion, as an example of this double-standard.

“In this hierarchy, the rich live opulent lives, while the common people live very oppressed lives,” McFarland said. “In the Islamic state where the ‘dhimmi status’ is enforced, Jews and Christians cannot defend themselves—and are attacked if they do. Part of natural law is self-defense, not to be the aggressor, but if attacked, we have the right to defend ourselves.

“The socialist progressive agenda does not look that different than Sharia law,” he continued. “It abandons natural law, abandons the Constitution and has selective rights by social classes. And the same result is present—unequal protection before the law. Furthermore, we cannot allow progressives to define ‘Christian love’ as cultural lawlessness. We can’t proclaim that Christian love is the abolition of all boundaries and standards. Love does not mean lawlessness.”

How the Holy Spirit Prepared Southwest Crew for Emergency Landing

Tammie Jo Shults allowed the Holy Spirit to flow through her as she navigated her plane to an emergency landing.

One of the plane’s engines had just exploded. The debris broke a passenger’s window, and the passenger was partially sucked out, eventually dying from her wounds.

But through it all, Shults knew the Peace that surpasses all understanding was with her, and she says now sees just how God was already preparing her heart earlier that day. She was far from the only believer manning the plane that day.

First Officer Darren Ellisor and flight attendants Rachel Fernheimer, Seanique Mallory and Kathryn Sandoval shared their testimony on CBS This Morning.

“Well, in LaGuardia, when we had a little extra time, we were chatting, and Rachel had gotten a new Bible with room to journal on the side, and she and Seanique and then Kathryn was talking about she was in a study of Psalms, which is where I’m doing a study in Psalms and Proverbs,” Shults said of the meeting the crew had before the flight. “When you talk about things deeper than the weather, your family and faith, the things that matter to you, even if they’re different, it tends to bring a bond.”

Mallory said: “Well, it was the peace that God had given us all. It’s a peace that surpasses all understanding. Like Tammie Jo said, we came together beforehand and we all talked about God, and not knowing what was going to happen minutes later, God had already prepared us without us even knowing.”

Free-Speech Advocates Have Their Say on Capitol Hill

Voices that were once muffled on college campuses were heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill Tuesday.

Members of both the Subcommittee on Healthcare, Benefits and Administrative Rules and the Subcommittee on Intergovernmental Affairs gathered to “to understand the policies and viewpoints that have enabled suppression of constitutionally protected free speech at institutions of higher education.”

Advocates for free speech say they have found it increasingly difficult to have open debate and discussion of differing opinions on college campuses.

One example is the Fresno State case, in which pro-life students, who received permission from the university to spread their message, were accosted by a professor who erased their sayings and told them, “College campuses are not free speech areas.”

More recently, Arizonians were up in arms over a bill they say would limit free speech.

HB 2563 was widely scrutinized for this verbiage: “A university or community college may restrict a student’s right to speak, including verbal speech, holding a sign or distributing fliers or other materials, in a public forum.”

Tuesday’s hearing called on victims of speech suppression to testify about their personal experiences.

One of the panelists is professor Allison Stranger of Middlebury College in Vermont. Last winter, Stranger was assaulted by students who challenged her choice of a conservative speaker in what she called “a chance to demonstrate publicly a commitment to a free and fair exchange of views in my classroom.”

In an opinion piece for The New York Times, Stanger chronicled her narrow escape from a mob of protestors who verbally and physically attacked her.

Although she was just the moderator and, in fact, disagreed with the speaker’s viewpoints, she found herself in the unlikely position of defending the presenter from the mob.

The unruly group swarmed her, pulled her hair and chased her to her car, where they then jumped on the hood.

Stranger says she spent a week in the hospital and tells readers it took her that long to recover from “whiplash and a concussion for having the audacity to engage with the ideas of Charles Murray, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.”

During the hearing, U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., a professor of constitutional law at American University, said he disagrees with free speech zones on campuses because in his words, “America itself is a free speech zone.”

Testimony from Dr. Bret Weinstein, a professor who says he was bullied out of his tenured position at Evergreen State College, pointed to a larger issue.

Likening the protestors to “members of a cult,” Weinstein says the problem is not just about free speech but that “what is occurring on college campuses is about power and control.”

Tyson C. Langhofer, who serves as senior counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, rounded out the list of witnesses.

Langhofer urged lawmakers to take a close look at this issue, saying, “Our colleges can do better. Our students deserve better.” {eoa}

Evangelist Alveda King: Dismantling the Generational Lies Behind Racism

Trump is a racist? We need to be colorblind? The races need to unite? Sound familiar? Currently the racial tension among the human family is at fever pitch. Here at home in the USA, tempers are flaring and emotions are boiling over the “skin color war.” Can we take a timeout, please?

Acts 17:26 clearly teaches us that we are one blood/one human race. Yet, for thousands of years, skin color wars, religious disputes and class and caste disputes have divided the human family. For the purpose of this article, let’s address only the skin color factor, which breeds the lie of separate races and racism.

In the realm of sociology, colorblindness is a concept based upon ignoring or pretending not to see the color of a person’s skin. Color blindness is a premise describing a desired ideal of a society where racial classifications do not exist to limit a person’s opportunities. In seeking such race-neutral policies proponents seek to promote the goal of racial equality. This ideal was promulgated to Frederick Douglass in the 19th century, and to supporters of the 20th century Civil Rights Movement as well as in international anti-racist movements of the 1950s and 1960s.

The challenge to these efforts is that while well-meaning, abolition-minded citizens were genuinely seeking to bring unity and equality to all people, there were those who were seeking to actively and aggressively continue the racial and social inequities that would provide superiority to various people groups, communities divided by skin color and other socioeconomic factors.

The goal of 1960s civil-rights legislation in the United States was to replace racial discrimination with a race-neutral standard. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s central hope was that people would someday be judged by “the content of their character” rather than “the color of their skin.” This dream has never truly been realized because the skin color issues keep getting in the way.

Interesting Dot-Connecting Facts:

  • There is only one human race; as human beings, our race is defined by our red blood and not our skin color.
  • We should be judged (not identified) by the “content of our character” rather than our visual, easily discerned physical characteristics such as the color of our skin which we can see with our natural eyes.
  • Colorblindness is a medical, soulish or spiritual condition requiring healing. Jesus gives sight to the blind.
  • There is no such thing as “interracial marriage” or biracial sexual connections between humans.
  • Upon conception or fertilization, the baby created from the sexual union is a human being because the parents are human beings.
  • The first known black queen of England was born on May 19, 1744. She became Queen Sophie Charlotte, wife of King George III; and bore the king 15 children. Queen Sophie was of African descent; allegedly directly descended from a black branch of the Portuguese royal family (Alfonso III and his concubine, Ouruana, a black Moor).
  • Queen Charlotte reigned for 60 years. In many historic portraits, her features were white-washed with paint to conceal her African ancestry. This practice, akin to disfiguring images such as the Sphinx and Roman coinage, became common by the 19th century for many other portraits of famous black people throughout Europe and Asia.
  • Queen Sophie Charlotte’s birthday, May 19, not so coincidentally coincides with the date—May 19, 2018—Duke Harry, Duchess Meghan and the royal family chose as the wedding date for another black woman to be married into the royal family.
  • Royals Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have succeeded the only previous Duke of Sussex: Prince Augustus Frederick, the sixth son of King George III and uncle of Queen Victoria, who was given the title in 1801. He was a supporter of the abolition of the slave trade and expressed disregard for the legal restrictions placed on Jews.
  • In the United States, practices such as redlining, discriminatory lending practices and color-selective benefits are all part of a form of generational racism that receives a blind eye. For example, Veterans Day celebrates the GI Bill legislation that helped millions of returning veterans go to college and buy homes in the great postwar suburban land rush. Unfortunately, America often turns a blind eye to the seamy side of this story, which is how a largely disproportionate number African-American veterans—because of their skin color—were intentionally denied many of the benefits of the GI Bill. Practices such as these laid the foundation for what is known as “white privilege” in America today, where blacks are still subjected to racist conditions in the justice, education, health and economic systems.
  • Census data, Social Security numbers and zip codes are still used today to selectively control predatory lending practices, with people judged by the color of their skin rather than the contents of their bank accounts. (See: “African-Americans and the G.I. Bill,” “The Negro Family: The Case for National Action” and “White Privilege.”)

Colorblindness is a passive form of racism. If you can’t see color, you can also ignore the racist effects that are often amplified by active racists.

See skin color, embrace skin color. As human beings, we are all created in living color.
